It has people put it on everything but which packaged food tastes closest to the real deal. It's time for Super Snack Flavor Match: Hot Honey Snacks Edition. [Stevie]: Okay boys, today you're going to taste hot honey products alongside some actual hot honey. and decide which best captures the essence of hot honey by giving each snack a score from one to 10.

First up, yes, it's hot honey Kraft Mac & Cheese. Look at that. Of course they have this, of course it, it's going. I wanna remember what this tastes like. Now I will point out according to, um. The National Honey Board, which is my favorite board, 72% of consumers in the US are aware of hot honey. That means 28% of people are not aware of hot honey. Welcome. I'm aware.

Did you think that I wasn't? Uh, well, you could be. I mean, there, you know, like a one in four chance. So that means we're, we're introducing hot honey to people today. I wish I could be with, be with you. So I'm not being introduced. I wish I could be with you as well. Um, oh, it's hot. I'd much rather be with my wife and my dogs. I'm just being honest. If I could be with somebody right now, it'd probably be Christy and the dogs. What if it was your wife with hot honey all over her? She will have hot honey and it will be all over. And the dogs are, boy, they're, they are making a mess.

They are making a mess of it. Tell us more. She only, the only thing that we eat the hot honey on is pizza. Pizza. I don't know why I haven't thought about putting it on mac and cheese. It's spicier than you think. The hot honey, maybe at least the first bite is. This has also got a little spice. : Hmm.

Is there any honey though? That's what I'm trying to figure out. Where the honey at? [Stevie]: Is there any moisture? That stuff looks dry as hell. : It's dry. It is not, it's not bad dry. It could be saucier though, for sure. It's dry. Are you tasting any sweetness? I'm just tasting heat. Nothing but heat. It's not, it's not working for me. I mean, we, yeah, maybe tasting the hot honey did something to us. But we had to know what it tasted like.

And now we know this doesn't taste like that, which is the point. I mean. It's got the hot part, not the honey part. What it's telling me is just get regular mac and cheese and then drizzle hot honey on it. Yeah. So I'm gonna give this a 3 out of 10. I'm not afraid to give it a 2, which I'm doing. A total of five. [Stevie]: Next up, you have Hot Honey Pringles. : Look at that hyperbolic paraboloid.

Huh? I knew that. That's, that's what I've always called it. I knew that. I just called it the saddle. Hmm. Sweetness check, spiciness check. Yes, it has sweetness and spiciness, but I wouldn't call it honey flavor. Nope, not at all. But I will say that, you know, I don't know if this was the honey board who asked this question, but it was some other board that the most popular flavor combination amongst people who taste flavors.

Okay. Is sweet and spicy. 45% of people find that appealing. Sweet and sour is only 44%. Would you have known that? Sweet and spicy better than sweet and sour? One point. Uh, yeah. I mean, it, it's going big these days. This is kind of a disappointment because the sweetness, first of all. I can't stand sweetness on my potato chips.

Like, don't do that. You see how angry I'm getting. I just, I just completely obliterated a Pringle. That's how angry I am. Um, I don't like any hint of sweetness. Even those really good Hawaiian sweet onion chips. Barbecue sauce has got a little sweet in it. I don't really love that either. These taste like crap to me. Okay. All right. Well, he's made, he's made his case. And the sweetness tastes just like sugar.

It doesn't taste like honey. I agree with that. This is so special. I'm just so disappointed. The actual hot honey. This is more difficult than I thought it was gonna be. I know. How hard can it be? I thought people were gonna be knocking this outta the park. I'm gonna give this one a 2 also, because it has sweetness. And spiciness. I'm gonna, I'm gonna stick with the 3. All right. But it does not taste like honey at all. Well then I'll go to a 3 as well.

Because it does have sweetness. Total of 6. [Stevie]: Next you have Mike's Hot Honey Tillamook Country Smoker Beef Sticks. Okay. If you're like us, you might think. That this is from the company Tillamook? Yeah. Tillamook. Tillamook. That's, that's what she said. That gets the, has the cheese. They've got the ice cream. No, it's a different company. What? But because it is confusing. In 2004, there was a suit filed by Tillamook because they were basically saying they.

were suing for copyright infringement. And I can understand that. A US district court judge ruled that Tillamook Country Smoker could continue to use the Tillamook name I. mean, I guess because it's a place, is it a place? Yeah. That makes sense to me. Like we couldn't just start calling something Buoys Creek. You've had Buoys Creek Cheese from Rhett and Link? No, I've had Buoys Creek Country Smoker Beef though.

Yeah, we can do that, but we can't just steal the name of the town and like give it put, put it in a new place. I know that's not what you're saying, but we couldn't do that either. I think we could. Take the name of a town and then move it? We could do a new Buoys Creek, we'll call it New Buoys Creek. New Buoys Creek. That's different. Newy's Creek. Hmm. This is, I mean, for Tillamook to be biting off of. It's good. the branding, they'd certainly picked a good companion with Mike's Hot Honey, which is the most well known.

One of the first, if not the first. This is excellent. So it has the exact same stuff in. it. It's the best thing so far. It's the best tasting thing. You mind if I dip? I just wanna know what it would taste like if I did that. That is crazy, dude. That is crazy. That is so decadent. Look at that. Look at what you've done. Oh, do that. It makes me want to do it.

Oh, that's what it could be. That's what I want. If you got hot honey in your cupboard, you. don't need to buy all the hot honey other stuff. Just put the hot honey out from your cupboard in it. If the people from the Country Smoker Company, which is what I call it, to respect the lawsuit. That's spicy too. If you're watching, TCS, if y'all are watching, y'all should be drilling this mess out. And have somebody blow honey into it.

Yeah, you could probably get a machine to do it, but if you don't have a machine, I'll do it. No, just get the bees to make their lattice structure out. Inside your beef. Out of their beef. One way or another. Maybe you've already done that. We're just saying the honey should be more prominent. But I'm gonna give you a, I'm gonna give you a... I'm gonna give you a 5. A 5? I was about to give him an 8. Well, but explain why. Because it tastes like honey. The sweetness is honey sweetness.

The hotness is great and it's a really good product. I had to dip it though. I'm sticking with 8. They've done a good thing. Okay. What's 8 plus 5 though? A total of 13. [Stevie]: Next, you've got Mike's Hot Honey Montchevre Goat Cheese. Montchevre. Not sued in 2004 by Chevy. They could have. Maybe Chevy if you're watching, this could be an opportunity.

It's not too late for you to sue a cheese maker. Poor little cheese maker. Yeah. Big Chevy coming after. Big Chevy coming after 'em. Silverado running them down. Mike's Hot Honey right in here. They don't play. They're going with the. Why are you going so light? I'm just gonna go. Go heavy man. Goat cheese, tangy. Woo. And that's got a spice to it.

This is really, really working for me. It's hotter. It's exactly the same spice level as the real thing. I did not get that from the beef. That's true. He's right. The goat cheese is a strong flavor, but they have perfectly balanced it with the honey flavor. And it really does help, Me understand how I can enjoy goat cheese. 'Cause up until this point, whenever I'm eating goat cheese, I just feel like I'm licking a goat. Mm-hmm. Like the non hairy parts.

Like the teats. Yeah, I guess the teats. I guess I'm licking the milk part of a goat. Well, that's where it comes from. That totally makes sense, right? But this is a spicy one. Those teats have been dipped in Mike's Hot Honey. Don't tell anybody I did this. Oh God. Oh, no. Oh, you've done that? Oh, no. Oh, and look. Oh, get that piece out. I can't. What? I don't want to get that piece out.

I'll get it. I'll get it. Oh, that's good. That's good. This is impressive. I'm giving this, hmm. My tangy spots are getting clenched. Uh, I'm gonna give it an 8. I have to give it, for consistency, a 9. That brings us to a nice 17. [Stevie]: Next you have Hot Honey V8. Hot Honey V8. Look at that.

You know, things I didn't know existed and maybe think shouldn't exist having not tried it. Mm-hmm. This is on that list. Why are you gonna need hot honey in your V8? Because... and of course now that V8 is here, we have to have the obligatory conversation that we always have. I love it on a plane. It's great on a plane. I only drink it on a plane. I only drink it on a plane. At one point, I meant that when I said it. Now I just say it every time we see V8. I can't remember the last time I saw you order it on a plane. You wanna be, yeah, it was, it was all just something I just said.

I'm... I've been lying all these years about drinking V8 on a plane. It's not spicy. Or it's the spice. It's a little bit. It says two out of three spices. No, there's a little bit. We've just, we've had more spicy stuff, so it's harder to taste. It's not as good as just V8, a normal V8.

I don't really, it doesn't taste sweeter to me. It actually doesn't. The spiciness is underwhelming. This is somebody's favorite drink. I mean, just statistically speaking, it has to be somebody's favorite drink. And I'm sorry for you because this ain't gonna last. Because you're wrong about that. This is released in early 2025 and it will be discontinued in early 2026. Yeah, it's not gonna happen. They didn't, but they didn't collab with anybody, so that makes it, they don't have to let anybody down.

Right. Like a collaborator, like, sorry Mike, we gotta break. We gotta break our contract. So we don't think this should exist. Um, so that impacts the score a little bit, but. 4 for me. How it tastes like hot honey, it's a little bit spicy. I cannot taste the sweetness at all. I'm gonna give it a 2. Whoa. Now you're getting tough on it. Yeah. Total of 6. [Stevie]: Next, you have Trader Joe's Hot Honey Popcorn.

: Oh, Trader Joe's got something new. They never do that. Trader Joe's got something new. They added something that they didn't have last week. Never thought I'd see the day. What? Trader Joe's with something new. You get the, do you get the joke? Yeah. Trader Joe's always got something. Can I ask a question? Yeah, man. How do you get a popcorn to pop like that? To be so round? You know what I'm saying? Like I can popcorn all day. It'll never happen like this at my house.

Never. 3D printer. Oh, okay. This is 3D printed popcorn from Trader Joe's. Now this is not kettle corn. Nowhere on this does it say anything about kettle corn. But it might as well be. But it might as well, but. It's, no, because it's butterier than kettle corn. If this is kettle corn, it's the best kettle corn I've ever had. 'cause I don't like kettle corn 'cause I don't like sweet chips.

And as a close second, I don't like sweet corn. You do though, because this is basically kettle corn. This is the reason I like this is because I like kettle corn. But it's butterier. Good kettle corn's got some butter in it. [Stevie]: Is there a spice? : No. I haven't tasted a spice. There's not a spice. [Stevie]: Oh, what a bummer. : I know. And it's not the, so the honey part, the sweetness is a good sweetness.

The reason why it's not kettle corn is because, first of all, it's not. I don't know what goes into that, but I can tell you right now, kettle corn has a, a coating of sugar on it. This does not have that. This has the feel of regular popcorn. Have you had the, what is the thing where you. Better than kettle corn. There's the popcorn, the kettle corn that's mixed with something else, and it's a really good snack. Something cheesy.

It's called Canadian vacation. Yeah, but what is the, what is the other thing? It's an orange thing, you know? Chicago style. It's like kettle corn and what? Cheese? [Stevie]: Yeah, cheese... : Oh, it's just cheese, cheese, popcorn, right? That's all it is. It's just kettle corn and cheese popcorn, yeah. [Stevie]: Oh, like the two mixed together, you're saying? Yeah, I think that's right. [Stevie]: Oh, okay. But no, that's caramel corn that's got a coating on it that's different. That's not kettle corn. Cambodian vacation. Okay, so I am, I'm loving this.

I'm not getting, I'm not getting the heat that we deserve. Gimme a second though. But because I love it so much. I am gonna give it, that's not why I'm judging this though. I buried one for you. I'm starting to get a little bit of heat. I'm giving it a 6. I buried you one. You wanna dig it out? I'll get it later.

What goes with my 6? 5. That's an 11. [Stevie]: And finally you've got Norm's Hot Honey Saltwater Taffy. : We paid 12.50 for this seven ounce bag. That's a lot. But they do say that their taffy is no joke, that they don't pull their taffy. Hold on. Well, that's interesting because,

It's whipped, not pulled. My source says that the taffy shop offers taffy pulling classes, and I was getting excited about pulling my taffy, But they don't, they don't pull taffy and they're not gonna pull yours. So don't get excited. They just whip it? They just whip it. They whip it good? Mm. I don't think there is a good whipping of taffy. Do you want, well, let's decide. Do you want your taffy whipped or pulled? Both. In what order? It's still very,

It's still taffy. Very chewy. Don't get your hopes up if you wanted it to not be taffy. I don't, I feel fear. I just don't like biting, biting on this stuff because. I feel like I'm never gonna get it outta my teeth. It's soft. It's way softer than some of the stuff. It's softer than Bit O' Honey. Don't bite a Bit O' Honey if you're scared.

So is it not, is it not sticking in your teeth? It is, but it's immediately dissolving. A Bit O' Honey will stick around till the afternoon. This is spicy. It is spicy. It's really spicy. Wow. It's also sweet. Hmm. And it does taste like honey. This is pretty dang good. This even seems like one that would be the easiest to nail because you're just putting a flavor in taffy. And I think that they've done it.

I think they've done it. I don't like it as much as many of the other things that we tried. Nope. But that's not flavor wise, that's not what we're doing here. What we're doing here is we're giving this, if it were any hotter or honey-er, it would be hot honey. Whip it. Don't pull it. I'm gonna give it a 9. A 9. Oh, that's an 18. And how convenient is that? That means that our Hot Honey Brian is right here in front of us, right?

Yeah. Salt water taffy, not pulled, but whipped. If you go to the taffy pulling class expecting to get your taffy pulled they're gonna whip it.
