Guess How Much Protein Is In This? (Taste Test)

- Can we guess how much protein we're eating. with Skee-Balls? Let's talk about that. (upbeat music). - Good mythical morning. - Not to toot my own horn. But I would describe myself. as both trendy and pretty swole. - Do people still say swole? - They do when they're talking about me. (laughs). And one trend that isn't going away anytime soon.

Protein everything. Even fast food meals are now full of protein. And that's reason enough. to bust out the new game we just can't get enough of. - It's time for "Protein Pandemonium.". Skee, two, one, go. (upbeat music). Welcome to Protein Pandemonium Mountain. - Oh, we're going to take turns rolling up. to nine balls down that ramp. and launching them towards the Skee-Ball board.

to add up how many grams of protein we think are. in a series of meals, starting with Panda Express. - And, just like always, every time we play this game, whoever gets closest to the correct answer. without going over wins the round, unless we both go over, and then it's whoever's closest. - All right. Mikayla, what we got here? - [Mikayla] What's good? So- - Panda Express. - This is so full of orangeness. It's going everywhere. Proceed.

- [Mikayla] Okay. (laughs). Just checking. You got a Panda Express plate with fried rice, original orange chicken, and black pepper sirloin steak. with a side of two chicken egg rolls. and a large peach, lychee flavored refresher. - I mean, would they put protein. in a peach, lychee refresher? - I mean, who's they? - The Pandas. Chicken has protein. - Chicken, chicken, chicken, beef, rice.

Which straw did you use? The one that's been pulled? - [Link] Yeah, the wet one. - [Rhett] Okay. - This fried chicken doesn't have. as much protein as this steak. - Since you said that you were swole, you get to go first. - You know I know nothing about protein. - Yes. I'm ready to be entertained by watching your brain work. - So you don't want me to copy you. - Well, here's what I'll say. I have a lot less confidence about this than I do calories.

But I'm just, I love watching you do math. - I actually might know more about protein. Because, like we said, it's pushed and pinpointed on the front of everything. Throw me a ball. - Would you like a blue ball? - Yeah, the ones that says A all on them. All right, we got some new options here. Snowflake's not new. But if you land in that, it's a penalty. The other person starts pelting you.

with snowballs while you continue to throw. The skull and crossbones resets the protein score to zero. There's a bouncy trampoline in the back now. - [Rhett] There's also a double and a triple your score. And then the question mark, which is a mystery spot. - I know there's 20 grams of protein. in a decent protein bar. I would think that there's not much more protein. in this whole thing. Maybe 25. I just don't think there's more than 30 grams. of protein here between the little bit of meats.

- Little bit of meats. - All right, I'm going to start and try to hit that 20. Oh, oh. Wow. It went everywhere. - [Rhett] Excitement. - It almost went into... - That means you get one. Anything in the bigger area is just one gram. - One gram of protein. I'm still going for 20. Oh, it bounced. - [Rhett] Oh, oh, oh, oh. - Look at the chaos. Another one. - [Rhett] That's just one. - [Link] And another one. - That's just one, my friend. - Another one. If you say it differently.

- [Mikayla] Another one. - Yeah, that's it. Oh, wow. Look at that five. All right, so I'm up to what? Seven grams of protein. I got to start boosting. I think I still want to get to 20. - Okay. Okay. Oh, look at that. You went where you wanted. - Do I want to push it? I'm going to go for the five or the one. - [Rhett] Risky. Risky.

Risky. - [Link] All right, so that's 28. - Risky, risky, risky. - I'm going to hold right there. (buzzer buzzing). I'll stay right there. All right. - Let's clear the board. Link. - [Link] Yes, sir. - [Rhett] I believe you have severely. underestimated the amount of protein in this meal. - Oh, yeah? - Now, I will say. I don't think there's a-. - [Link] Can't go over though. - There's not a lot of protein in that fried chicken. Because there's a lot of fried. I think you might get to 20 grams of protein.

At least 15, just in that steak. - Really? - So if I was really trying to get the exact number, I would say 20 plus 15 is 35. There's probably 10 in each one of the egg rolls, which is 55. And there's probably five grams of protein. in the rice because it's still protein. - Yeah, I think you're right. - [Rhett] So that's 60. - Go for it. - But all I have to do is get 29. So let's just get 20. - [Link] Oh. Oh, wow. Look at the excitement that happens.

when you start going off the trampoline. (staff laughing). - Again, just trying to get 29. - [Link] Chaos. Oh. - [Rhett] Oh. - All right, so where are my balls? - [Rhett] The balls are in the cooler behind you. - I see that. - This is going to complicate matters. But you know what? I'm used to being impervious. (staff laughing). (Rhett and staff laughing). All right, that means you can reload.

- [Link] I don't know why I'm throwing them at you. - I need balls too. I need balls too. (staff laughing). That's not a ball. How many balls? How many- - [Link] You have one more. - No, and I also have one that... I have three more.

- Snowball Boy, give me my snowballs. Snowball Boy. I need snowballs. I don't need the red balls. - [Mikayla] Be nice to him. - That is Blaine, the Snowball Boy. He's wearing the vest that his mother said was stylish. (staff laughing) We all agree. - Yes, boy, you look like Pedro Pascal running around here. (staff laughing). - [Rhett] Okay, how many red balls do I have left? - Only one. - [Mikayla] You have two.

- [Rhett] Two total. - Except for a second one. - Okay, okay. Well, oh gosh. So I really got to get in that 20. God. - Love it. So what grams are you at right now? - I'm at 14. I have to land in the 20 in order to... That's my only hope. That's my only hope. (Link laughing).

- My snowballs messed you up, didn't they? - A little bit, yeah. - [Mikayla] But it also messed you up a little bit too. Because you couldn't throw the balls. - Yeah, I was discombobulated. - [Mikayla] Yes, out of whack. - That last one got me right in the eye. (staff laughing). - So I love where we're sitting now. - [Mikayla] All right. So the totals are, the chicken egg rolls have six protein each, six grams of protein each, for 12 total. The fried rice has 13. And then the orange chicken has 18 grams.

The black pepper steak has 19 grams. And then, finally, the large peach lychee flavored refresher. has zero grams of protein. So that brings the total amount of protein to 62 grams. And, Link, you get the point for that one. (bell ringing) - I was so wrong. And to still win the round. - Yeah, that's what snowballs do. - I don't know if I can accept it. - That's what snowballs will do to you. (upbeat music).

- [Mikayla] All right, this round is worth two points. So you have Starbucks Impossible Breakfast Sandwich, a Grande Iced Vanilla Protein Cream Shake and Espresso, and a chocolate croissant. - Oh, these are so good. - Chocolate croissant. - There's chocolate logs in them. - Is there two logs across it? - Yeah, yeah. - Now, I heard that there was protein in there. See, that's a perfect example. They're throwing protein in coffee drinks.

- You can taste it. You can taste the protein. Link, you're up. - For this to be just like, microwave stuff, it's not bad. - Oh, it's good. - The egg bites. That's a reliable little snack, don't you think? From Starbucks. - Yeah, I do think. Are you stalling? - Well, no, I'm just talking to you. (Rhett laughing). - No, I will go and do the egg bites. I also make my own egg bites in the microwave.

Thank you, Jose Andres. - Do you put like, potato in it? - No. Jalapeno, cheese, and whatnot. - It was 62 grams last time. And I thought it was under 30. - Yes. - All right, Link, you got to do better this time. - But you still won. - So I don't know exactly what it is. But I'm starting off by going for the 30. No, I'm going to go... Yep. Yep, no.

Yep, yep. - Meow, meow, meow. (Rhett and Link laughing). - [Rhett] That was a switch. - That was satisfying, dude. - [Rhett] It was a switch. - [Link] Yeah. - It made a little... - Well, I'm going to do that again. (chuckles). Oh, what just happened? - Too high. You hit a dangling cord. - I mean, how on earth did I get. so far from replicating the magic? Ooh, that was in line. (buzzer buzzing).

Nothing. Nothing on that one. I bet you there's at least 10 grams of protein. in that coffee drink. There's nothing in the chocolate croissant. There might be one gram. So, now, I'm going to say I'm at 11. And then for the sausage, egg, cheese, if there was 30 there, that would bring me to 41. And I also underestimate things. So when I say 41, I probably mean 55.

So here I go. I don't want to go for 30 again. I want to go for 20. - You see? (staff laughing). Most shows don't let you in. on the behind the scenes thought process like this show. But you just heard it all from Link Neal. - So, now, at this point, I just want to know what's in the question mark. - Uh-oh. (staff laughing) I'm so good. - Hold on. You have developed a special connection to this board. - I don't know what's happening. What's the mystery, Mikayla?

- [Mikayla] Well, the other guy, being Rhett, will have a mystery disadvantage in the next turn. I can't tell you right now. But he'll find out. - All right, I'm all good. (staff laughing). - Okay, nope. That's not this round yet. - You hit it twice though. - No, that's not how it works. - [Link] All right. - I do get some kind of disadvantage. We'll find out in a second. Link, I believe you have overestimated. - Overestimated? - Yeah, I believe you have overestimated.

I believe that my strategy is just to go for one. - [Link] Huh. - But that's no fun. - [Link] No, it's not. - Because I think that we've got 20 grams. of protein in the drink. We've got 20 grams of protein in the sandwich. And we've got five grams of protein in the croissant. Because chocolate and bread, by the way, has protein. You think vegetarians are walking around with no protein? They've got protein as well. - Well, that's what all the carnivores say. - So I think you're looking at like, 45 is the correct answer.

But let's just have some fun with it. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what? Hit the skull at first and-. - I'm going to hit the... I don't want you throwing snowballs at me again. But I'm going to hit the question mark. Oh. (staff laughing). - What do we do? - Hold on. In basketball, the tallest player comes out and... (staff laughing). - I think this is the most vested Snowball Boy.

- [Rhett] It's a dead, yes. - Should probably run in. Should probably run in right now. - Snowball Boy? - And just- - [Mikayla] Look at his vest. - No, no, no, no, no. - Hey, I like the way you think. - Get out of here. - I like the way you think, Blaine. But that is one-. - Mikayla, what's his disadvantage? - That is one gram, right? Because it's in the common area. - [Mikayla] Yeah, we'll give you a gram. - And what's his disadvantage? (Mikayla chuckling) - You'll see. - [Rhett] Oh.

- [Link] All right, go ahead. - That sounds sinister. Okay, I want to stay at one gram. Because I think you've gone over. But you might be right at it. Like, I don't know how much protein they'll put in that. What if they put 25 grams in there? - [Link] That's not possible. I mean, it's possible. - So I'm going to just try to get the question mark. - Oh, yeah. (laughs). - [Rhett] Okay. - So no matter what- - Okay, I have a proposal. So you hit me in the eye last time.

You have eye protection built in. So I have to close my eyes. So either I get to wear your glasses, which is a disadvantage because they're prescription, or you don't get to wear your glasses. if you land in the snowflake in a subsequent round. - I don't want to give you my glasses. - So that means you won't be wearing the glasses. - [Link] That's right. - Okay, I'm going to do it. (Rhett laughing). (Yeti growling). This is quite a disadvantage. - I think that might be your disadvantage. (staff laughing).

(buzzer buzzing). - It went over. - [Link] Boy, he really scared you. - [Rhett] I need a ball, man. I need a ball. - [Link] I got too many balls. - Is this the abominable snowman? (Yeti growling). - The abominable short man. - I'm at two grams. I'm at two grams. I'm at two grams. I got to get in the question mark. - He almost can't reach you. - Oh, oh.

Oh, crap. (staff laughing). (Yeti growling). Oh, crap. (buzzer buzzing). - Now, watch out, Mr. Abominable. He doesn't have eye protection. All right. Now, you're in five. - Hold on, it went at five? - Yep. - [Mikayla] Yep. - Okay, I'm still good. I'm still good. - [Link] Now, you're at eight. (staff laughing). - Oh, no. - Again. - No. - [Link] Snowball Boy.

- Ball, Snowball Boy. - [Link] Snowball Boy. - We got to be fast. - Get them. Get them. Get them, Snowman. So whatever... - Yeah, it's a distraction. Ball, ball, ball. Is this my last ball? - [Mikayla] Yep. - [Link] That's your last ball. - Come on, question mark. Come on, question mark. Okay. (buzzer buzzing) Okay, all right. I still feel good about that. I didn't get an advantage. But I feel good about that because I think you're over. - I don't think I'm over, man. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice. - [Mikayla] Well.

- I guess I did make that mistake before. - [Mikayla] Yeah, well. - Well? - [Mikayla] Are you good, Rhett? - Yes. - [Mikayla] Okay. (laughs). All right. The chocolate croissant has five grams of protein, the Grande Iced Vanilla Protein Cream Shake. and Espresso has 19, and then the impossible breakfast sandwich has 21, bringing the total to 45. - What did I say, Link? (bell ringing) Do you remember? - You said 45. - No, I said 45. We're doing our very first ever live holiday special.

A very mythical holiday special. - It has so much goodness in it. Original songs, music video, sketches, special guests, and more. - Yes, we dug very deep into our creative pockets. to make a very, very special night. that we are incredibly excited to share with you. - November 20th, 10:00 PM Eastern, 7:00 PM Pacific. Get your tickets now at mythical.com/live. (upbeat music).

- [Mikayla] All right, from Chipotle. You have Josh Hart's High Protein Burrito. and regular chips and queso. And, as a reminder, this is the last round. And it's worth three points. - Josh Hart. - Who that? - [Mikayla] He plays for the New York Knicks. - Oh, of course. - [Mikayla] The championship team, current. - Isn't Josh Hart an actor? - Yeah, he also acts in the off season. - [Staff] Are you thinking of Josh Hartnett? - Yes. - Yes, his son is racist and everything. - I was like, Josh Hartnett having a Chipotle burrito now?

- [Link] Weird. - [Rhett] Didn't he step back? - [Mikayla] He's making a comeback, I think. - Oh, he is? - [Mikayla] Yeah. - He faded away. - But I think it was purposeful. - So you are going first because you're in the lead. Two to one. - And it includes the queso. - Still don't love that queso, Chipotle. But I got tired of you for a while. But, now, I'm kind of back. on the Chipotle train a little bit.

- Choo choo. So, anyway, do you really have to say high protein. when you're having a burrito? Do you know that a burrito means little donkey? - I was there when you learned it. So, yeah. - Because a burro is a donkey. Burrito is a little donkey. - What makes it high protein? Is it double chicken or something? - [Rhett] It got beans. It's got meat. - It's probably got double chicken. - News flash link. We've moved into double black diamond territory.

where every single score is doubled. You're so on fire today that you're just like, looking at a number and conjuring it into existence. So I feel like I've got to go big. I'm going to go big before I start doing math. - [Link] Oh, oh. You almost hit the skull. I guess you're going for 30, but that was-. - I'm going for 20. Oh, gosh.

- That frustration is already sinking in. with his second ball. Now, he's just... Now, he's really hurting. - Okay, let me back up a little bit. That was it. - [Link] You are at six grams. - How about just 10? I mean, at this point, I feel like I'm just trying. to get something respectable on the board. - [Link] Oh, you're really looking. - I really want to get into that. - [Link] You looking naughty. - That snowflake. - [Link] Oh. - [Rhett] Yes.

- Now, he's in 20, which gives him 40 grams. - Okay, so that means I'm at 58. All right, now, we're in... We're somewhere. Okay, so let's do some math here. Wow, I could be looking good right now, actually. Because, I mean- - High protein. - He's calling it a high protein burrito. And you've got every single thing in there has protein. Just so you know. Like, almost everything. Almost everything that has some like, cellular material in it's going to have protein in it. And so I think that this burrito is probably...

- You don't want to go over. - 60, 55. - [Link] No. - Ooh, I think... Man, I think I'm at the number. Because I think that chips and queso is probably 10. What I'm going to do is I'm going. to go for the question mark. Because maybe it'll give you a disadvantage. And if I miss it, I'll go into the one, which will be two, which will stop at 60. And I'll stop. All right, so I'm gonna- - [Link] Come on, don't stop. - I'm done. I'm done. - [Link] Have some fun. Have some fun. - I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. I'm done.

I'm done. - Ball me. I think it's higher than 60 grams. So I'm going for 61. Whoops. - That is the beauty of going second. - And all I got to do is hit that 30. And I'm all over it. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. - Have you lost your touch? - A little short. A little short. But right. It was right. - [Rhett] Have you lost your touch? - No.

- [Rhett] Have you lost your touch? - Well, now I've got four. So I don't want to go for 60 anymore. I got to go for 40. - Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Oh. - [Link] Oh, come on. - [Rhett] Uh-oh. - They're all accumulating in the same place. What are we going to do? All right, fine. I'm going to go for 30. How many balls do I have? Three? - You got five more after this. - [Link] Okay. Yeah, I'm good. - You have plenty of chances. - All right. Well, then I'm going for 30. - Don't panic. Don't freeze up.

Don't- - Oh, come on. It hit a little dangling, dangly wire up there. - Don't freeze up, man. Don't choke. Don't choke on your big burrito. - I got to go for 20 now. - [Rhett] Yeah, you got to go for 20. - [Link] Oh, gosh. - [Rhett] You got to go for 20. - This is not pretty. - No, I'm loving it, which is not the slogan for Chipotle. - No. No. - [Rhett] Okay, you got to take your glasses off.

- So dumb. - [Rhett] Okay. - I got to take my glasses off? - Yep. You ready? - Put them right there. - You ready? - Don't put them right there? It'll crush them? - Hey, Ball Boy. Get the Ball Boy. - Snowball Boy, hold my glasses. Okay, I got 10 grams. How many balls do I have? - [Mikayla] Three. - [Link] Three. (Rhett and staff laughing). Hold on. I did not throw it that hard.

- What? - [Link] I did not throw the balls that hard. - [Rhett] Wait. Wait. Yeah, you did. What are you talking about? Hold on. I threw it hard? - Yeah, I could tell when it hit me. that you line drived it hard. I didn't throw it that hard. (staff laughing). It really is a disadvantage. (Rhett laughing) - Yeah, it's hard. Isn't it? - Get me a ball.

- This is your last ball. - [Link] Oh, gosh. Okay. - Hold on. You got to figure this out, man. - Give me the ball. - You got to figure this out. What's your strategy? What's your strategy? - Let's see. I'm at 30. If I go for 10, that's 20. That's not enough. So I need to get 31. How do I do that with one ball? I can't do that. - It's impossible. - I got to go for the 20. I'm going for the 20.

I don't even care what you're going to do. (Rhett and Link laughing). That trampoline gave me some of my money. - [Rhett] Hey. - I was scared. - I may be over. I may be over. - [Link] But, yeah. That snowball, man. - Oh, you're de-skiing. - [Mikayla] Oh, wow. - Interesting. - [Mikayla] Okay. (staff laughing). All right. - Show must go on.

- [Mikayla] The regular chips. and queso has 17 grams of protein. - Oh, that's a lot. - [Mikayla] Josh Hart's High Protein Burrito has 95 grams. - What? - [Mikayla] Yeah. - No, it doesn't. - [Mikayla] Yes, it does. The chicken was double. Meaning, Rhett, you win. - That is Knicks wild. - Ah, you know what? I don't even feel good about it. We were so wrong. - But we learned some stuff today. - This is a bad one over there. And this is a good one? - [Mikayla] That's the bad one, yes. You got candy cane milk, Rhett. And, Link, you got candy cane orange juice.

So try it. - Oh, that's lovely. That is lovely and refreshing. - Oh, man. It's like swallowing mouthwash. - Shout out to Josh Hart. (staff laughing) - And Josh Hartnett. - Yes. - [Hosts] Thanks for being a Mythic Best. You know what time it is. - I'm Emma. - I'm Ben. - And I'm Megan. - And we're from Florida. Megan just turned 22, which means it's time. for her to spin her very own wheel of mythicality.

(Rhett laughing). - I had no idea what was about to happen. (staff laughing). So many possibilities. - Yeah, I didn't know when you get that old, you get your own. - Yeah, you do. Here's an unfun fact. Sand is often found on beaches, and little jars, and grandma's bathroom. (staff laughing). - Join us in "Good Mythical More". to watch us play a TikTok game where we have. to guess what each other is thinking. Wake up. We've been buried alive. What?
