Control Your Car With Gestures

did you know that this simple gesture. could start your car let's talk about. um people companies corporations and. tech companies are introducing these. these new natural user interfaces. they're calling them right okay this is. simply controlling your car with. gestures now this has already been. implemented in a Ford in an Xbox uh yeah. but that's not a car yet uh but there is. a Ford I don't know if it's just a Ford. or if it's all Fords that are coming out. now but essentially you can walk up to. the back of a Ford that was made.

this past year and you can just kind of. wave your foot you can't see what I'm. doing but I'm waving my foot under the. desk I can sense it's being waved and if. my desk was a Ford the trunk would open. I I've seen I've seen the commercials. I'm like I don't know if that's going to. make me buy a vehicle but if I'm on the. edge maybe that would push me over no. seriously I I can't tell you how many. times I'm at the trunk and I'm like oh I. got to put this down I'm always taking. things in and out of trucks so you have. to have the dead bodies a lot of times. oh you have to have the key in your. pocket in order for your foot to waggle. to work no waggling foot's going to.

hey man if that's a forward I'm going to. go open it with my foot yeah I think you. have to thieves are like yes yeah I'm. sure has something thieves with feet. with those footless thieves they're all. over the place they're bummed but seeing. how this uh technology is in its infancy. you know they're being these things are. being developed right now our idea is. that we hope that the people at Ford and. Hyundai and GM GM now I almost said GMM. all those people at the car companies. are watching because we know that you do. right you watch give morning every.

morning maybe we got a relationship with. Buick so that's our end we're going to. work with Buick maybe we we'll we'll get. some we're going to introduce some. gestures on the episode today and and. hopefully this will get implemented into. the next line of cars that have this. technology here's my first gesture I'm. totally turned off by the topic of this. episode body language that's different. and I'm not I'm very into this okay all. right well that was that was an elbow. that was another gesture so let's do. this I'm I'm going to do one and you. guess what my gesture is and then I'll. tell you and vice first you give me a.

gesture and I try to guess and you tell. me if I got it right or wrong okay. you're in the car you giving a gesture. I'm going to guess what it's supposed to. do to the car all here we. go uh someone buy an air freshener you. do this it rolls all the windows down. how often are you in a car and somebody. farts and then you got to now in my car. that I'm designing you don't even have. to make the face you just. go right all the windows come down and. there's no conversation it's like did. you burp or fart you know you know that.

you know that conversation we have that. a lot that a burp or a fart does it. matter all the windows down you know. okay uh I was close on that one you were. it's good but I don't know how a car. would put an hang an air freshener but. the window's going down that's easy the. computer can do that okay we B this why. about. this I'm in the driver's seat doing this. that seems unsafe because it involves. covering your eyes at least a a portion. of the time and taking both hands off. the steering wheel but this is worth it. the door's.

open nope the hint is in the. repetition. blinker nope caution lights man like if. you're on the side of the road it's like. oh I got to put on the. hazards that seems like a lot of work I. don't think they're going to take that. one instead of just pushing the hazard. button I think I can't find that Hazard. button okay why do they hide the hazard. button I mean it seems like youd want. the hazard button to be like right there. where the horn is it is on my car it's. right there on the Dash really where's.

yours like underneath something I don't. know I haven't found. it okay how about this I just been doing. this hoping something will happen how. about this one. okay it's like okay this is for like. something a chiropractor would do no. it's for single guys ah you're looking. at a lady out of window. so uh your car is going to give the. number to the girl in the car beside you. no it's just the one window rolls down. oh just just my window I'm like and she.

sees the thing is you don't have to roll. the window down no no no cuz I want to. talk I don't want to talk a single guy. wants to talk I got my the cool thing. that the girl will be impressed with is. you got both hands on the steering wheel. and you're like and they how this window. go down he must be driving a Ford or. something you know and then she's like. in the driver seat she's like leaning. over like yeah yeah she's in a manual. but if she's got the car and she. does her window goes down and then you. just speak like normal what would you.

say. R would you I don't have a thought of. that I'm just coming up with the. gestures the car needs to speak for you. no no no if you're single all right all. right here here's here's another one for. me I've been practicing this. one okay I assume you're smoking. something you're smart okay something. with a cigarette. lighter I need a I need a specific guess. here.

the cigarette lighter comes. on okay that's part of it but this this. the ashtray. opens cuz you got a hand on steo a hand. on the cigarette hey they don't make. ashtrays in cars anymore and that's what. I'm getting at since when do they not. make ashtrays in cars anymore like 10. years ago maybe more than that yeah you. you want to retrofit old cars with your. gesture. technology oh this one's got an astr h.

no but when I when I came up I finally. got a car where my cigarette thing will. work when I came up with that one I did. realize wow cars don't have astrays. anymore I hadn't realized that next one. uh this one's pretty easy I. think just kind of I'm. uh checking that tire pressure seat. warmers come on. okay well that should cuz I'm I'm low. that that shouldn't be this that should.

be this you know like your that's. traction control like your like get warm. in the cheek turn the traction control. on all right here's here's my next one. oh high. beams turn on the high beam nope it's. tur the air conditioner. down that's good link next one okay I. got I got uh two more after this so you. got. to uh uh I need a cup holder cup holder.

deploy I don't I don't know what is it. sun visor. down Darth Vader man oh what does Darth. Vader have to do with a car strangle me. garage door. opener oh okay I'll go with that all. right I I got another I don't dislike. that one I just you didn't seem to. respond very well to it think about you. come home you feel like the king man I. got you I'm doing mine. now aggressive u-turn.

no just turn. right I think it'd be easier you know. what this is I turn left yep okay steer. the car without touching and here's my. final one all. right record scratch it makes a record. scratch come out of the stereo really. yeah yeah got it it's for like for. conversations like so you're somebody's. talk like you tell me something really. really groundbreaking I'm like talking. I'm like driving we're in England cuz. I'm on the wrong side I'm like hey man.
