Confessions: Stuff We've Stolen

what I mean disler and you put this on. top of it and it'll make it sound. awesomer thanks for joining us today wa. what are we doing what are we talking. about stealing stuff I was about to get. into it get into it bu on Friday of last. week we discussed the fact that Legos. not Legos but Legos are the best toy. ever as determined by the the mythical. Beast who watch Good Mythical Morning. that's them well it turns out that. Thomas leinbach really really really. likes Legos well he's got Legos in his.

name well Lego boach lean boach this is. interesting this is a guy who is a very. successful uh I think he's a. CEO oh yeah let's go with that well he. has an incredible job at like a. technology company he lives in a $2. million home in. California okay he's he's a married man. he's got children mhm this is not the. kind of guy that you would expect to be. stealing things.

but they recently discovered that this. guy has been going into stores like. Target and he goes in and he takes his. own barcodes and he takes I don't know. if he takes off the other barcode and. puts his on but I think he either he. maybe puts it over it he puts his own. barcode own price tag on all the Legos. and okay and then he takes a couple of. them and they scan it at the checkout. and they scan it and he gets an. incredible discount then he takes it. home and he sells them on eBay.

I didn't know that was possible this guy. made. $30,000 in eBay Lego sales last year and. then he was caught and they say that he. has hundreds upon hundreds of sets in. his basement now first of all so his. kids go down to the Bas dad why can't I. open any of these sets cuz I'm I stole. them and I'm selling them on eBay well. I'm just wondering what is the what did. the guys I'm a Lego M what did the guy's. wife well actually his he was famous on. eBay Tom Brickyard was was the name of.

his uh eBay handle he didn't call it. stole from Target yeah he didn't call. stoen Legos because that would have. really shut it down quickly but it. actually turns out that they had. suspected that this had been happening. and they ended up catching the guy on. surveillance doing this and it had been. done multiple times in multiple places. so the guy's uh I think he was arrested. but released on bail because I mean he's. just stealing Legos I mean let the guy. out on bail right you know don't don't. don't execute him for this but the. despicable thing is that he seems to be.

really well off well that is the mystery. cuz obviously he's not doing it for the. financial he's doing it for the thrill. he's doing it because he's addicted to. the thrill now I wonder first of all. what what did his wife think did she. just she was like he buys a lot of Legos. and sells them on that eBay thing and I. don't really know how that works so. let's let's call her I can't do that I. know I have her number I think that. would be like interfering with the. investigation there he is on. surveillance right there look at him. checking out at Target he's got that.

smile on his face boy he's like you. don't know what I'm doing that's my. barcode you're scanning and it's working. okay so this interesting story got us to. thinking about what we have stolen and. uh since we're in the the habit of. confessing things to you that we. shouldn't confess and talking about. things that we shouldn't talk about. because we have to make an episode every. single day and we just start reaching. pretty deep um into dangerous places. we're going to confess things that we've. stolen but let's at least invite them in. the comments to confess things they've.

stolen you can change your name if you. want but uh yeah just just go for that. you you're safe here yeah just leave it. in a comment you you stole something so. now I remember I gosh I must have. been like a fourth grader I went with my. granddad Papa Clyde to some like garden. supply store and I remember they had. seeds oh yeah as you were leaving item. seed seeds they would have seeds that.

you could put in a little packet and oh. dandelion I don't think you buy. dandelion I'm going I need weed seeds. where's the weed seed section I want to. steal some I meant to say sunflower I. always get those two confused because I. don't have a green thumb I at least do. have thumbs so let's look on the bride. side so I took a handful of those seeds. and I just put them in my pocket oh okay. and then we were driving home and I I. was in the back seat and I remember. saying. Papa I took some. seeds didn't say anything pulled the.

over popped a UI went back didn't say. anything the first thing he said was. when he parked back at the Garden Supply. Store he said get out and give the siege. back well side note and I'll never. forget that important side note he was. the chief of police no this is that was. this Clyde was my other Pap oh but he. was a cop though he was a he was a. sheriff's deputy yeah was sheriff's. deputy I mean he can't his grandkid. can't be going around lifting seeds yeah. from the he wasn't he wasn't in a. sheriff he wasn't in a sheriff car at. the time cuz it would seem like oh this.

is a new form of sheriff Justice I. arrested my grandson he's in the back. but I never forgot some seeds and I. never stole anything else after that. dandelion seeds the hottest item in. Lillington or Andre sunflower seeds yeah. I never stole anything else after that. at least anything that I'm going to tell. you guys about what have you stolen I. stole a car no you did like a matchbox. the one that I'm driving right now a. stolen vehicle uh no lifted it I um. actually as a child I was really good.

kid I I did I did not ever I was so. scared of getting caught for things and. spanked it didn't matter that I I wanted. to steal at times but I but I never did. I never brought myself to it but as an. adult I have technically stolen a few. things we just quickly talk about those. things um and I think many of you have. probably done this too I I sense my a. rationalization coming on here yeah the. difference the one of the differences. between me and my wife is.

you still thinks she doesn't if I'm at a. fast food restaurant and they give me. like an extra burger or an extra fries. an extra Burger something it's happened. I've gotten like a sausage biscuit one. time out of nowhere y you stole it I. just take it if my wife gets something. like that she feels the need to go like. if we go and like we look in the car and. we're like oh sausage biscuit she's like. I got to go in and tell them well if. they but they can't they can't give it. they can't even give it back to them. they throw it in the trash if they hand. it to you it's not stealing.

okay but technically I didn't pay for it. I dipped my hand into the dandelion. seeds now here's another thing I think. this is technically this technically is. definitely stealing you go to Walmart. Target Big Box store whatever you get a. bunch of stuff and then you realize that. there were a couple little items like in. a bag or under your cart or something. like that that you didn't pay for and. you realize that when you get home oh. that's tough you're home and it's so. tough to go back to the Box Store I've. done it I now nothing major I'm talking.

about like my wife might have like a. thing of lip gloss or something that she. didn't pay for and she's all been out of. shape she's like we got to go back we. got to we got to return this or tell. them that we didn't pay for it and pay. for it and I'm like honey listen we're. home it's lip gloss forget about it. convenience always trumps theft and then. I've actually actively stolen something. once but I think it it was more of an. exchange I went to Walmart I got uh some. batteries turn out I got home I Ed the.

wrong batteries I go back in and they. have a different kind of battery that's. exactly the same price to it exactly the. same price right next to it and I'm like. I don't know why I did this because it. would have been so easy to just exchange. because they make it so easy at Walmart. to exchange things I took it back in in. my pocket I put it on the rack and took. the other one off and put it in my. pocket that was the that that was an. unnecessary risk I don't know why I did. it it was like three years ago and it. but it was convenience I mean it it had. to be nothing more than or the thrill. but did you do it for the thrill yeah it.

made me feel like a did you did you make. a fake barcode no I just did the. switcheroo the old Switcheroo now back. in sixth grade around the same time as I. guess the seed incident maybe a few. years later I remember my mom would drop. me off Sunday nights at the church stuff. no Wednesday nights Wednesday night. church stuff you would go in and I. remember David I won't give his last. name and sometimes Joel I won't I will. give his last name DH because he didn't. steal anything okay good um they were. they were you know two and one and two.

years older than me so they would say. hey let's go down to the shortstop. that's a convenient store the only. convenience store in buy Creek instead. of going to the church stuff so I would. act like I was going in my mom would. drive off and I would I guess I would. steal time from church by going to the. shortstop but then and listen David. would steal stuff the same church and. and I I went into the youth stuff yeah. you were going out and stealing stuff. you were afraid of being spanked and I I. needed a thrill and I wanted to let the. older guys teach me David would go steal. stuff would steal stuff like what like.

Big League Chew did you get more Big. League Chew like Smarties Sweet Tarts. Clearly Canadian did he ever steal any. Clearly Canadian no it's like what is. that Genie shaped bottle in your pocket. son it's tough to steal Clearly Canadian. uh yeah but I didn't steal anything but. I was I didn't turn him accomp I was an. accomplice but then Joel I Al I also. remember that he pulled some scope out. of his pocket like a little thing travel. thing of scope and I thought he stole it. and he said I didn't steal this I keep. in my pocket all the time for the ladies.

and I'll never forget that either you. you do that to this day he said I was I. thought he was a ladies man and he. thought he was a ladies man don't you. remember he dated Mindy Moore for a long. time sure that was that yeah that works. but he kept a travel side scope and he. said you know what if you're going to. learn anything in high school keep one. of these in your pocket at all times. that's what he told me dead serious I'll. never forget it but it wasn't stolen but. it didn't steal it you didn't steal it. from him no I I stole the technique you.

didn't pick pocket a scope and now look. I even carried some now to this day just. kidding I I don't do that because it's. it's got a it's not actually scope is. not good for your breath it's got. alcohol in it and it kills the bacteria. but it dries your mouth out which causes. you not be able to create uh create. saliva which is actually bacteria. controlling but high school girls love. that so if you're in high school then. you you could carry it if you want to be. like Joel old west. gunfight all right you know this work I. mean we got a kind of a small area here.

but let's turn back to back you take a. couple of uh we're going to settle this. like wild west men uh I normally I would. you know usually I take 20 Paces but we. don't have a lot of room we'll leave the. frame of the camera so no let's just. rotating our chairs okay no Paces just. rotation all right all right Which Way. hold on which way you rotating I'm. probably going to go clockwise uh kind. of hard to figure out which way that is. when you're kind of doing vertical you. do counter you mean you going to turn. this way don't yep just both you do.

counter and I'll do this and we'll do. this way you doing this way I'mma shoot. you I'm going shoot you you going to. shoot me with your left hand or your. right hand my right hand I got two guns.
