Comfort Food Taste Test (Marathon)
You ready for a very comforting marathon? Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Marathon. We're kicking off this little break in regular programming to gear up for. Good Mythical Summer- Whoo … which starts up one week from today, okay? That's July 6th. What's wrong?
I don't know. I've been feeling a little down. Did something happen? Yeah. What happened? Well, this morning Christy asked me how I was doing and I accidentally said grine, which is a combination of great and fine. Oof. Oh, now that's- I didn't intend- That's tough … for it to come out that way. Well, do you think a little- Now I feel bi. Marathon of, uh, comforting food episodes? Somewhere between… I feel somewhere between bad and fine. Oh.
But yet I- So are you making up words or are, are these mistakes? It's the mistakes. 'Cause now, now I'm confused. Oh, God. I'm e- I'm even more down now. Do you think a marathon of comforting food episodes would cheer you up? I think if you asked me a third time it would. Do you think a ep- a marathon of comforting food episodes would cheer you up? I think it would. I praby. Is that a combination of maybe and probably? Yeah. Did you do it on purpose? I did. Okay. Are you confused? All right.
Is there anything more comforting than a meal made by mommy? No. This is co-chef versus mom taste test from September 21st, 2022. Can we taste the difference in our mom's food? Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. We're about to see if we can taste the difference between homemade meals that were. made by our moms and ones that weren't.
Why do you think moms make everything better? I mean, like, mama laundry smells better than when I do it. Yeah. And of course, mama meals taste way more incredible than if I were. to attempt the exact same recipe. Well, that's, that's just 'cause that's you attempting a recipe. Yeah. I mean, alone, it just takes- Let's just say if it wasn't me, that still holds true. But there is, there's, there's something about mom food. It's got that love in it. It's got that nostalgia. Or does it? Can we and some of the Mythical Crew identify our mom's cooking from the rest?
It's time for For Mama's Cooking, The Lucky Stars We Are Thinking, But If We Can't Tell. Which One's Hers, We're In For A Spanking. All right, Chase, we're starting out with you. All right. And you got your mama involved in this. I did, yeah. Right. Slowly getting every single one of my family members. We've done my aunt, my my dad's been watching from over there. I got my mom. I love it. All right. Well, um, she made a video to set this up, right? I believe so. Hi, I'm Chase's mom.
I made his favorite dish, which is sweet rice. And here's a fun fact about Chase. When he was young and he'd get angry, he'd go over to the fireplace. and bang his forehead on it. I- That is a fun fact. And you know what? I don't think they asked for a fun fact. It's just your mom wanted to throw you under the bus. Just a little color, yeah. She's like, "You know what? I'm, I think I'm gonna throw in a fun fact." Is that why. you bang your head over on the, uh, the, our little prop fireplace from time to time? I never knew. It was when you were angry.
Yeah, it's just when I, uh, when I need to get out some aggression-. Okay … I just go over there. Okay, sweet rice. Tell us about this, Chase. Yeah, it's also arroz con leche. Like, um, it's a Mexican- Uh-huh … dessert. My mom was a little nervous about making this. She didn't like the first batch she, she did, she told me. So she did say she went out to a Mexican grocery store to see if they had any. that she could just buy and say was hers. Whoa, whoa, no, we can't break the rules. But she- What? They didn't, they didn't have any, so she had to go and make a second batch. So are you then gonna… Y- you're supposed to pick the one your mom made.
Are you gonna pick- Yes … the one you like less? Oh, no, I, I know she made it… She, she always makes a good sweet rice. Um, it's based on my grandma's recipe. All of my aunts and my mom make it, and we've all got, like, a lot of fond. memories of making it with my grandma. So it's like a creamy rice with raisins and, like, cinnamon? Yeah, there's a very similar profile to, like, horchata. Ooh. Ah. And, um, Vi? Yes. You and the Mythical Kitcheneers took Chase's mom's recipe and tried to.
make it to the best of your ability. Yes. And how confident are you that you're gonna fool Chase in front of his own mama watching? Very, very confident. He's not gonna know. Oh. Now how confident are you that you know which of, which, which one is your mama's, but even before- Not confident at all. Oh, really? Because the recipe is very much just, like, based on, like… Even my grandma. was just like, "Eh, this feels about right. That feels about right." So it was, like, a little different every single time- That should give him an advantage, though. but always, always tasty.
But yeah, like- Ooh, that's good … it's not like there was one exact flavor profile. Okay. It's, like, a little different every time. Okay. I get that. I mean, that's good. Mm. Mm-hmm. It's sweet. It's rice. It's sweet rice. Let's go over here. I'm gonna try to get a similar bite. Not as sweet. Wow. Yeah. There is a difference. It's not as creamy as the other one. I'm very nervous. You should be, Chase.
So to hedge my bets, my sister made pumpkin bread and I brought both halves. Whoa, what? You just keep it in your lap? I got, yeah. "To GMM, love Chase's sister." She made- This is the m- w- oh, I mean, how. does this make up for anything, Chase? 'Cause I know, I know my sister made this, so maybe I could get just like. a bonus point if I get this wrong. Um, you don't need to be sucking up to us by giving us bread. You need to be sucking up to your own mom if you're gonna make her upset. My mom doesn't know how to search for our YouTube videos. Oh, okay. So I think- Okay, good. She- I'll be okay … okay. Since Chase's mom is not watching, I will say that I think that this one has more flavor.
It does. Yeah. I, I like this- And I don't know if it's not hers or not, I'm just saying one of them. has more flavor … I like that one better. Do, do you agree with that? I do. All right. Do you think you have a guess? I need one more bite. But we're just guessing wh- not which one we like better- No … which one we. think that Chase's- Yeah … mom made. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Which Chase has the most knowledge of. And not to put any more pressure on you, Chase. Yeah. I'm just saying. Okay, you ready? I banged my head on the fireplace a lot as a kid, so Hand over. Chase's mom's in three, two, one.
I- Chase's mom made the better one. Yeah, we- We already know that … we gotta believe in Chase's mom. Yeah, I mean, she al- s- she's a, such a sweet woman who makes such sweet rice. I'm looking at V just to Are we right? Mm, break out the pumpkin bread. Oh, no, you're kidding. 'Cause Chase's mom's sweet rice is on Link's side. Okay. You know what? It's not bad. It is, it's no- You can't, you can't win them all. It's just kind of a side-by-side thing. The rice texture, this one feels more like my mom's, but the- What are. you … so raisins really threw me off.
These, I don't know, maybe she just used a different type of raisin. Oh, she used a newfangled raisin. She used a plumper raisin. All right, so y- you might need to apologize to her right now. Just, just say, "In case you're watching, I'm sorry for everything, Mom." Mama, I'm so sorry that this happened, but, uh, I'm just gonna skip ahead to, like, right after this and then say that they forgot to use our, our sweet rice. Yeah, we're editing this out. Yeah, yeah. All right, Link, now your Mama Sue is up.
Let's see what she sent in. Hi, I'm Link's mom. I'm Sue. I'm fixing Link's favorite recipe today. It's called Mama's country-style steak. He always loves to layer it on top of each other and make it look like a volcano. Hope you enjoy it. Oh, I'm gonna enjoy it, Mom. You know, it, when e- my family sends in a video, it's gonna be blurry. It's interest- it's interesting that you didn't inherit, 'cause you got low-res video.
inclinations coming from both Mom and Dad. Right, right. All right, so let's bring these in. Yeah, this country-style steak, I mean, I wrote about this when we were, in, in the Book of Mythicality when we were exploring, like, our f- our eating habits. growing up, and my mom had, like, a s- just a set series of signature dishes. And this is one of them. And this is my favorite one. So I have to assume that you know which one it is just by looking at it. Country-style steak. 'Cause they look different. Even though I had this meal at your house many times, it's been a long time.
Yeah, and it's, uh, yeah, you put it over… When she's talking about the. volcano, she's talking about, like, you put it over rice, and then you. take garden peas as, like, two sides. And then I would just, like, clump that all together into one big. mound and eat it as one thing. Well, I'm sorry you can't do that today, 'cause- I'm- … we just have the steak. I'm a little, I'm a little disappointed in that. But we're, this whole round is in, this whole round is in low-res, though, so people. won't see the disappointment on your face. Okay. See, course, you got the, uh, cubed steak battered and fried,
I think, with, uh… Right? With then, um- Yes … onions and gravy. Wow. That is really good, man. I mean- I'm, I'm pretty much 99% confident just by looking. at these which one is my mom's. But that was very good. I don't know, man. I don't know which one is which, but that was good. And then this one. See, the, the onions in this one are smaller, but they're there. They're both very good. There's a distinct difference, not just in look and texture, but seasoning, too.
Yeah, like this one over here is saltier. Mm-hmm. Which I think might be a technique that Vi used to trick me because… Well, this is wild because- When you get really salty, it covers up the other flavors. one of them, here's the thing. One of them seems to look like what I would remember eating at your house.
One of them tastes like what I would remember eating at your. house, and they're not the same. Yeah. What is happening? You think you know? Uh, I know I know. If I'm wrong about this, my mom can disown me. Okay. Oh, my- Well on the line. Uh- That's how confident I am … let's, uh, guess in- You know what? … three, two, one. It's gotta be this one. Okay. The, the actually less salty one, but just, just the sp- just the- That's, that's the.
one that tastes what I remember … the specifics of the… Oh, really? That tastes like your mom's. Yes. This looks like what I remember. Nope. Nope. Nope. And, and- This looks and taste- This looks like? Okay. All right. This is it. This has gotta be it. You gotta be right. If this isn't it, like, I don't have a mom anymore. She's disowned me. The country style steak made by Link's mom is on Link's side. Yes. All right. But I'll tell you, when I tasted this one, Vi- Yes … first, I got scared for a second. I shook in my boots- … because the, I mean, that is actually good.
Have you ever made this dish before? No. I had no idea what she was talking about and I- You didn't know what a, you don't. know what a country style steak is? I've never had one. Do you like it? Uh, were you gonna be mad if I say no? It's not, it's not for you, huh? No. It's not my favorite. What was the- It's not my favorite … like, dead giveaway? I love it. Was it the onion size, or was it the slight difference in color? Like, how did you automatically know before tasting it which one it was?
I mean, every single thing is, like, so specific. Like, the type of gravy, like, how the gravy's kinda, it's, like, puffy gravy. Puffy gravy. And then it's not flattened. See how this one's, like, more flattened and rounded? She don't care about the flatten and roundness of it. Man. It's really good. And you throw in them garden peas, ooh. I love my mama, and not just because of this, but boy, this. sure- certainly sweetens the deal.
All right, Mythical Kitchen crew member Annaliese is sitting between us. Hello. You have a mom, huh? I do. That's cool. Grateful, grateful to have one. That's great. Um, because you work with Mythical Kitchen, I wonder if there's some. sort of advantage that you have here. Right, like, I was going to be tasting the love in the dish to try and find it, but, like, Mythical Kitchen, we're like family- Oh. so it's like- Aw … there's gonna be love there too, you know? You're gonna have to differentiate the love. Yeah, 'cause the love is in there.
Which love is more pure? I don't know. All right, did … Your mom made a video. Hi. I'm Annaliese's mom, and I have made for her Cuban black beans and rice. It's one of her favorites. A fun fact about Annaliese is that she has loved making movies ever since she was. 10 years old when her dad let her borrow the family camcorder for the first time. That's sweet. She was so nervous. Wow. Your mom is. sweet. Your mom is so dang sweet.
This fun fact is, like, so sweet, and Chase's mom Yeah. Chase's mom doing the, like … Yeah, you- Well… You, you, you're… Are you do-. are you living your dream here at Mythical? I am. I am. Since 10 years old. Okay, so tell us the history of this particular dish. Yeah, so, um, Cuban black beans and rice, um, arroz con frijoles negros. This was, like, the dish for events, for, like, we…. I graduated, we ate black beans and rice. My sister's wedding, they even made a hu- bunch of black beans and rice. Oh.
So this is just, like, the thing. I even brought a visual aid because one of my earliest memories is with my grandma, I was like a little kid, and prepping the beans, she'll go through, like, a whole bag. of beans and take out any, like, split ones. Really? Whoa. Like, prepping for the beans. And I remember as a little kid being like, "Here, help eat that with this. Like, p- prep the beans." And so I would, like, sift through the beans like that. Wow. Okay. Start over here, huh? Do, do, do you know… There's obviously a visual difference. Yeah, difference. Are you… Do you c- I…. You don't have to tell us, but do you know which one you think. it is just by looking at it? I think I do.
Okay. I think I do. But you don't sound that confident. Ooh, that's juicy. Mm. Wow. That's so good. Oh. That's so good. I love rice and beans. We can't double fork, huh? Yeah, you can. Just- You can do whatever. this is my zone. You can do whatever you- Go back into your zone, yeah. This is, this is, like, the way. Like, you, like, I love that we- Yeah, yeah … made sure to mix it together, 'cause. all of it together is the way to do it. That one's really good. Yeah. It's, uh, it's, it's, uh, juicy. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. This one looks drier.
There, there's less… Yeah, this is a super saucy version. We'll find out. Well, there's some, there's some wetness down in there. Yeah. Okay. Oh, yeah. Oh, okay. I found the wetness. We found the wetness. This one's, there's a sweetness to this one. Yeah. It's much sweeter. I'm not tasting the peppers as much. A little less salty, but that one I feel like I taste the salt more. Yeah. And that, I think that's Vi's trickery. I'm just gonna give you a hint there. Exactly. That's, that's what she did with my mama's country style steak.
No, she just followed the directions, man. She wasn't allowed to veer off of what the, the directions said, right? Right, Vi? Very right. So y- so you're throwing my mom under the bus. You're saying my mom lied about her own recipe? How? It just wasn't detailed. So that she could win? Okay. Do you know? I don't wanna say anything. Like I said, there's love in both these dishes. Well, you're gonna have to vote. I'm gonna vote. So how confident are you gonna be in your vote? Really confident. 100%? I think so. All right. Let's see. Uh, well, I believe in your mom. I'm voting for the one I liked better.
As, as I am. Three, two, one. Okay, just like with Chase's mom. Were we right or wrong? Phew, you picked correctly this time. Yes. Whoo. You don't have to apologize to your mom, but could you apologize. to Chase's mom on Chase's behalf? 'Cause I didn't think his apology was gonna work. Yeah. Chase's mom, we're really sorry. Chase loves you and is grateful that you cooked rice not once, but twice, and also tried to make me buy it. Buy rice. Yeah. Right. We're sorry.
We are all very sorry for Chase. Okay, last, but certainly, certainly not least. Time for Mama Di. Mama Di, and let's see what she did. Hi, I'm Rhett's mom. I'm making his favorite dish, tortilla stacks You wanna know a fun fact about Rhett? He was all conference basketball player in high school. Hey, hey, hey, hey. We- And I never banged my head against anything.
And you never constantly tell me about it. Um, I guess my mom's using the same internet provider as- Yeah … as your mom. She's pretty fuzzy. Listen, I, yeah, I forgot to tell you. At every step of this process, my mom would call me and tell me, it's like, "They asked me to do this," and then she'd call me back and say, "Well, I gotta. make a video, and now I'm making this, and I gotta figure out how to ship it.". Like, every step of the process, she's like, I- She contacted you? My mom never told me about this. I mean, like, it, it just one, there was one initial thing where I was, they were. like, "Tell your mom that somebody's going to call her to get her to do something.".
"Just give her a heads-up." And I was like, "Hey, Mom, somebody from Mythical's gonna. call you and ask you to do something.". My m- my mom- Haven't talked to her since. My mom was, like, doing the phone call version of live. tweeting her entire experience. Well, it seems like you would've had an advantage. You did get it right. Okay, 14- Um, well, this, this round has an extra, a little extra. So your mom also sent a photo of, like, her actual recipe card that she uses, and it. is, uh, it has one particular detail that I especially love, but I just wanted to,
to show it to you 'cause it's very Mom. Um, you mean that this was… Okay, obviously this was given to her by. somebody named Wendy Kappen, who gave her this recipe- … in Jesus love. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The best way to convey love is through food i- if, I mean, if it's your mom. Now, I, I, I feel like, I feel like I need to acknowledge something. Of course, we had Chase and his family with the Mexican heritage, and we had Annaliese.
with her family with the Cuban heritage. My mom- And me with my country style heritage. Yeah, my mom is Scotch-Irish. Uh, but there's a little region in Scot-Ireland where they. really love tortilla stacks. So this is not appropriation. All right, so d- We ate this all the time growing up, by the way, and. I think I can tell which one it is by looking at it, but ooh, doggy. I, I think I remember eating this at your house. I'm sure if I did, I was served a, a big glass of milk- Milk … to drink with it.
Nothing like milk to make this go down. I mean, this, is this, and this was one McLaughlin serving here? She would put two of these in a casserole dish, and then she. would cut them into a, a quadrant. Mm, that's good. It's very tasty. It's very tasty. Very good. Visually, this round is, like, pretty darn close. It's hard to tell the difference. Yeah. It's stacked. I mean, th- these olives are more in the middle, and they're more,
like, just kinda haphazardly thrown. Okay. But they're kinda baked in. I think I know. Hmm. I think I know, but I have to confirm. They're both very good. It's, it's tough for me to say which one I like better. They really taste almost the same to me. On one of them, there is a way that the flavor comes together and hits, like, a nostalgic part of my brain. And I hope, I really hope I'm not wrong, 'cause I'm gonna look horrible if I'm wrong.
Mm-hmm. But I think I am ready. Three, two, one. Okay. That's Mama Di's Tortilla Sauce. I, I, I was kinda guessing blindly, so. They're both very good. Vi- I'm glad I'm with you … did a great job. If, if this isn't, uh, they're both very good, but there's just something. that feels more nostalgic about this in, like, flavor part of my brain. Am I right or wrong? Rhett's mom's dish is on Link's side. Yes. What a relief, right? You don't have to apologize. Yes. Um- Nailed it, Mom.
I mean, as many times as she made this, and my mom made the. country-style steak, it's like, there's no way we could've missed, right? It's ingrained. It's ingrained. It's like a part of your being. Like, when your mom has that signature dish, you know you can go back to it. I, I just feel so comforted right now. And I feel kinda bad for Chase. I got pumpkin bread. My sister made it. Yep. Yeah. You know, Chase, I still don't understand how the pumpkin bread makes up for what happened. But you know what, Chase's mom, Chase has pumpkin bread.
My mom likes it. We'll take it. Chase, I feel so bad. All right. Thanks for subscribing and clicking that bell. You know what time it is. Rhett: Chase, have you reconciled with your mom since you, uh, basically disgraced yourself? Uh, this, uh, this might make it worse. Doesn't sound like you know But I didn't have to reconcile with her because she. didn't wanna watch, like, herself on camera.
Oh. And I just told her that I got it right. Oh, you … So you lied to her? No, I, uh- Hey, sometimes you gotta lie to our moms … took a little. white lie … just to keep it simple. Yeah. That, yeah, y- yeah. Well, okay. Okay, well, you've disgraced yourself again. I, I kinda thought ever since that episode she wasn't talking to you, and. you needed to, like, find a way back in and … That was 'cause of something else. Yeah. Oh. I just, yeah, uh, I'm- To be continued. Okay. Yep. Uh, by the way, you feeling any better after watching that?
I was until Chase started talking about the something else that's m-. meaning he's not talking to his mom. You know what I think is really gonna help me? If we just play the next one. Oh, okay. Uh, I wanna watch myself eat 40 different comforting soups. Oh, okay. This is We Tried Every Campbell's Soup Flavor from February 26th, 2024. We're tasting every Campbell's Soup flavor. Let's talk about that.
Good Mythical Morning. There comes a day in every man's life when he must engorge himself on an. ungodly amount of soups, in hopes of discovering which flavor is best. There does? Yes. And for these two men, that day is today. It is? Yes. It's time for Gut Check, Campbell's Soup Edition, part one.
Okay, heteros. Today you'll be tasting 40 Campbell's Soup varieties and giving them a. score of one to 100 based on your gut reactions to decide which is the best. And because there is a ridiculous amount of Campbell's Soups, we've narrowed down. today's taste test to the condensed soup line and factored out any slight repeats, like lower sodium versions, et cetera. I like that. Condensed. So you had to add water. Is, oh, really? That's what condensed means.
Oh. You have to add water. They, but they removed those. No, they only included those. Well, it's like, yeah, it's, it's the normal- Okay … it's, it's the. one that you get off the shelves. But there may be a part two. Yeah. And, uh, be, you know, your palate cleanser today is saltine. crackers, which goes well with soup. I will say- Good, good, good … I, I don't know how much sodium you are going to be, um, tasting today, but- We don't wanna know. Okay. Yeah, it's best that way. Okay.
And- Do I have a chart? Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. It's beautiful. This is maybe one of the most artistic charts that I've ever had to use. It's pretty nice. But, um, I don't know if it's gonna be one of the more helpful ones, 'cause- Well, your, well, your face is on each little thing. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. It is. There's a lot of other details. I'm just gonna, I'm just admiring it. Uh, I'm admiring my scoring aid, which is, uh, a magic 8-ball. Is this going to be helpful to me today? Don't count on it.
Exactly. Okay, well, at least- Okay … it was honest. We're kicking things off with the cream soup category, starting with cream of asparagus. Okay, of. We're in the of category. I didn't know asparagus had cream. Ooh, that's tough. That is not something I wanna go back to anytime soon. 14. 10. Cream of bacon. Oh, bacon's better than asparagus.
I call it. A little bit. Mm. Oh, got a little bacon. I like it. It's accurate. 58. 51. Cream of broccoli. Oh, here we go. See that? Why- Better than asparagus. Why, why is that so much better than asparagus? 'Cause there's cheese. Because broccoli tastes better than asparagus. There's a cheese in it. It's good. I, I like, I mean 59. I'm gonna give it a 60. Cream of celery. So many creams. What?
What? Dude, you're already having trouble? Guys, we're in the cream category. We gotta do 37 more of these. Cream of celery? That's an, that's an ingredient. It, exactly. That's not a soup. That's not something you just sit down and say, "I'm gonna have myself. a big bowl of cream of grecelery.". 19. Grecelery. 23. Cream of chicken. Also an ingredient. But you can just sit down and eat it But it is chicken. Boy, I used to put this on some crackers and s- put some extra chicken in there.
Mm. You did? In a casserole dish. This might be, um- 74 61. Okay. Cream of chicken and mushroom. Oh, chicken and mushroom, huh? Now, now it's no longer an ingredient. It's starting to become a soup. The mushroom's a little bit weird, even though I like mushrooms. 48. I like it better w- than without. Interesting. 64. Cream of chicken with herbs. With just herbs?
You have a list of the herbs? I'm gonna give that a 65. As a soup. 32. I'm thinking about this as a soup. Yeah, these are, these are not typically ones you just open up and. eat it, but- That's an ingredient. I do like it, though. Cream of mushroom. We also like that. Okay. It really needs to be an ingredient. 49 30, 35 49. Cream of mushroom with roasted garlic. Okay.
Ooh, that garlic- That certainly helped It's strong. It's moist. 43. 57. Cream of onion. Cream of onion. Hmm. I would not eat this alone, but I do love the flavor. 58. 50. Cream of potato. How many things can you cream? Apparently everything.
Um, 50, just right in the middle. I'm just completely indifferent to cream of potato. I'm slightly against it. 49. Cream of shrimp. What? Well, he's, he's He's gonna like this. It doesn't taste- That looks like shrimp … fishy. It doesn't taste like shrimp. Well, it starts to taste like shrimp later on. But it's like a better clam chowder. A shrimp chowder. Yes.
61. 28. New England Clam Chowder. There we go. I like the shrimp chowder a little better, I think. This is an actual soup. It has- Yeah, it is … bigger pieces. Like, I would sit down and eat it and not be embarrassed. 61. I am gonna go to, uh, 69. And that concludes the cream soup category. The next category is chicken, starting with double noodle.
Double noodle. Double noodle. Now I'm not currently sick, so I don't know how to interpret this. It makes me think I'm sick. 62. Double noodle. It's not the noodles that make you better. It's the chicken. Yep. No, no, no, it's the broth. Yeah. It's really just staying hydrated- Um- … that gets you better. There's nothing magical about- 59. Homestyle chicken noodle. Homestyle? Okay. Well, I don't know what they do at home, but it's better.
Mm-hmm. We're moving up in the world a little bit. This is a better home. 66. 70. Mega noodle. Uh-oh. What is a mega noodle? It's a bigger noodle. Oh, it's, it's a, um, it's a s- it's a screw noodle. You can't confuse me with a bigger noodle. I see what you're trying to do. I'm still gonna say 70. I like a bigger noodle. I'm going for 70. Chicken and stars.
I hate this. I think I might just refuse. Like, they're, it's, they're, they're so, like… Who do you think we are? It's, like, the little pieces. It's, like, it's barely even there. You're not gonna excite us with stars. 15. 29. Chicken gumbo. Oh, okay. Never, never done it in Campbell's. Oh. Okay, flavor time. Um- Flavor time compared to what we've eaten, but- Right. 72. It's a little spicy, which I like, but I still don't love it.
47. Chicken noodle. Classic. Whoops. Got a noodle on my… 90. That really makes me feel sick. I am gonna give it an unapologetic 79. I'm gonna give it a 74. Chicken Noodle O's. Come on, y'all. Okay. How many different ways can you- Shape a noodle?
… get us to care about chicken noodle? I'm gonna do- 68 … um, 65. Chicken vegetable. So there's no chicken? Oh, there is chicken. Chicken vegetable, so there's no chicken. The chicken is made of vegetables. Yes, it's vegan. That's good. It, it was, uh, it is pretty flavorful. So, but there's no noodles. There's no noodles?
They replaced the noodles with vegetables. Which is better for you. And that bite was quite nice. I like a vegetable soup. My nana, you remember nana's vegetable soup whenever we'd go over? I thought you were gonna say, "Remember Nana?" I was like, "Oh, yeah, yeah." She's still- She still lives … here making vegetable soup. Yeah. They're great. 72. Uh, 80. Whoa, nostalgia. Chicken with rice. Okay. That rice is nice Very ricey. And the rice was so unexpectedly ricey, 'cause I ha- I'd been in such a noodle.
lane and then I had to go over to rice boulevard I'm going to 82 with this. Uh, rice boulevard sounds like something at a food court, you know? Uh, they got that many r- rice restaurants in a food court to have a boulevard? It just sounds like a dumb name for a bad restaurant. I mean, it sounds like an aisle in Trader Joe's maybe. 65. Chicken with white and wild rice. Oh. I'm we- I'm white and wild. Why choose?
Dang, that wild rice does taste different. It's so strange. I quite like this. As a wild man. So they go out and capture the rice? Um. I don't like it as much. It's not, it's not as classic to me. 70, 75. 64. Chicken wonton. Wonton? They do that? It's almost like a dumpling.
50. Easy. 30. That concludes the chicken category. Wow. Next category is beef and pork, starting with beef with vegetables and barley. Oh, barley. Beef and barley. This is beginning to be a soup that- It's hearty … you would make for yourself. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Um- 71. I'm not, it's not speaking to me. 60. Beefy mushroom.
Really? Did you have solids in yours? I had some solid mushrooms. They were little. And there's no beef. It's just beef broth with mushrooms. 51. 51. Split pea with ham and bacon Okay now. Okay.
Those peas are split. Ham and bacon? Ham and bacon. Yeah, you didn't have. You shouldn't have. I almost feel like they didn't need to do the bacon. That's what I'm thinking. I think it would be better without the bacon, but- That's what I'm thinking. I hope there's one without bacon, 'cause I'm gonna give this one a solid 69. I'm gonna, I'm not gonna hold back, 'cause I don't think there's one without bacon, and. this is, this is the story of the day for me. 85. Bean with bacon. Okay. Bean. What kind of… Is it like a pinto, like a baked bean, or?
Their bacon flavor is too smoky. That's the thing that's throwing me off. A bean soup is great. But you're really, really weighing this down with this bacon flavor. It's, it's hard, you know? 52 for me, though. I mean, 58. I like it, but I wanna love it. Okay. Vegetable beef. Vegetable beef. No more bacon. They make the beef out of vegetables. Mm. There's a lot to that.
It's very Campbell-y. Yeah, it is. If you know what I mean. It's just, I think it's just the salt content. It, there's like, it's preserved to the point where there's not a lot of. flavor- 66 … in all of those, um, ve-. I'm back in 50. That concludes the beef and pork category. Your final- Already? There wasn't any pork in it. I wanted more beans. Well, ham and bacon. Ham and.
bacon. I'm sorry. That's right. Your final category is, I guess unfortunately, no meat is the category. Starting with old fashioned tomato rice. Tomato rice? This is infringing on Chef Boyardee. Tomato soup. Oh, come on. No, Campbell's invented tomato soup. That is the quintessential tomato soup. Well- Just with a little bit of rice for a little bit of texture. It's Chef Boyardee to me. I like this. I wanna dip some things in it, but maybe I would.
77. It's not as good as just the tomato soup, though. Well, yeah. 68. Old fashioned vegetable. Okay. All right. But what is that, though? It's just a bunch of little noodles. I got mostly vegetables in mine. 60. 40. Tomato. This is the classic.
For a man who doesn't like tomatoes- 80. this is, this is great. And if it's cold and it's in a can, I can drink it on a plane, but nowhere else. It's a 84. Whoa. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What am I doing? Tomato bisque. Bisque? What's the difference in bisque? Butter or something. Yeah, it's, it's thinner. Oh, oh. It's better. I've been missing bisque. 87. I didn't know about this bisque.
It's better. 86. Wow, you're giving a tomato bisque an 87? This is- It's, I think it … Is it the highest score I've given today? It might be the highest score you've ever given. It's for a tomato soup. Vegetable. Okay. Haven't we been here before? See, there's vegetables. Ooh, it's getting hotter. I don't know where you're getting it from, but these are getting hotter. Something about just straight vegetable tastes better than any. other vegetable I've had so far. Um- 73.
I'm still in that 80s zone. 82. Wow. Minestrone. Oh, okay. I don't know. So, that's a bean and a orange thing. Don't think about it, just eat it and react. It's a good soup. It's got a lot of things that I like. 71. 76. Fiesta nacho cheese? Yeah. Oh, my gosh. This is a soup?
Ow. Whoa. I don't, I would feel bad just eating a whole bowl of this. Yeah, let's keep this away. Um- But I like the taste of it quite a bit. 40. 75. You gotta cleanse after that. It's just cheese. French onion. Oh, yeah. I know this is one of your favorites. Okay. Oh. Okay. Again- It's sweet … on the scale of Campbell's soup here- It's. oniony … not compared to what you would get at a, a restaurant, 86.
586. Oh, dang. Broccoli cheese. Uh oh. Oh. So the other one didn't have cheese. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, now. Not as good as I remember it. 63. 73. Cheddar cheese. Woo. Are we feeling the salt yet?
How you feeling over there? It's just cheddar cheese? Mm-hmm. Uh, I'm a pretty salty guy. 30. Um, this is not as good as the other cheeses, but I still. like it more than I don't. 51. Golden mushroom. Golden mushroom. Okay. Huh. That's weird. 59. 54.
That concludes the no meat category. You've now tasted every Campbell's soup flavor for today and your. scores will now be tabulated. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. No. You haven't said anything about my shirt. I love your shirt. I like your sweater. I'd buy it. Are you selling that at the Mythical store? I'm not. Are you selling that at the Mythical store? Ha, I am. See how that worked? This is the, uh, shuffleboard arcade tee, Link. You see, it's as if we are 8-bit video game dudes- Mm-hmm … uh, playing our.
classic shuffleboard game, captured delightfully on a T-shirt that is black. That is nice. It feels great. Where would I get one of those? Uh, you probably … I mean, you c- you know, you get, somebody could buy it at. mythical.com, and then you could break into their house and steal it and get one. Okay. That's one way you could get it. That's what I'll do. Uh- So go to mythical.com and get it. So he can go steal it. And I'll come steal it from you. Okay. Before you try your top four and crown your favorite the super hero, here are your individual favorites. Rhett, yours was a tie actually between tomato bisque and French onion, and.
Link, yours was also tomato bisque. Tomato bisque boys. Yeah, and your- Well, it seems like that's gonna be one of the finalist. Top four … Oh, your least favorite, sorry, was cream of asparagus. You really hated that one. The very first soup. Even though it was the first one. Yeah, yeah. That was horrible. Um, but top four in no particular order, French onion, tomato, vegetable, and tomato bisque. And of course, um, as with all of my scoring charts, we are both gonna sign it and.
give it away to a second or third degree member of the Mythical Society at random. So- Should I give away this eight ball to the society? No, you shouldn't. Okay, so- It is certain. D- don't let … Don't we know that tomato bisque is better than tomato? I mean- Certain yes or certain no. Because- 'Cause bisque has cream. I, I thought it, so it tasted like butter, but it's cream I think. Well, cream is a precursor to butter. Yeah. You can't make butter without cream.
Right? It's just better. It tastes like you've already dipped. Oh, it's good. It's like you've taken tomato soup and you've dipped a bunch of grilled cheeses. in it, and then you- Dang, bisque is good. Okay. So now it's just a question of where do these other ones fall, like your other favorite here. This is a, this is a flavorite day for you. The thing is, is that you really need the cheese with this, so I. don't really know how to judge it. Props for making it so pungent. You know, it's really got a kick to it. That's, that's what you wanna do.
They didn't go light on it. Put some day-old bread, some day-old bread in there and some gruyere. Um, or, the, your, you know, cheese of your choice. Sorry, I'm trying to get all of the pieces of the vegetable. Oh, I got, like, almost all of them that you didn't get. It's comforting, it's mushy, but varietal in nature. That's a-. That's a good soup. It is a good soup. This is just French onion soup.
I need bread and I need cheese to make the thing that I wanna make. That's not what I'm suggesting. Well, but for this, I would dip a grilled cheese in it. I would, but I also just kinda like it like this. But you're right, the, the vegetable is the one that I would just sit down and eat. Maybe add a little Tabasco. Of course. See? There you go. You can't escape addition. So all right, if you're so gung ho here, then that means we're kicking. tomato to the curb completely. I will say they have serving suggestions on all of these. So, like, maybe we can take that into account, Link.
It says, "Great paired with grilled cheese." It literally says it right. there on the bottle, or the can. On the vegetable it says, "Great topped with avocado slices," but that's. unnecessary because it's good on its own. That's a fun idea. And what does it say about this? Dripping roast beef sandwiches with melted provolone. So basically it's giving you a recipe to use it in. Or dipping it in- I think that's a demerit. Because- It's your favorite, Rhett. I know. I'm just- Don't be a traitor … I just think that this is d- You decide.
dipping a sandwich into soup is different than having to use. the soup to make something else. Is it not? You de- you decide on- 'Cause it's still just a soup … decide on number two. This is on you, man. This is between- Number- … you and French onion. Number- If you wanna do that to your favorite soup, then do it. Number three is, is French onion. And number two is vegetable, meaning that it- What's your reasoning? Because this is the greatest. Okay, good. This is just classic. Number one, it's a super soup.
Super, super, super. And I'm…. He's going up there. So there you have it. Oh, but we gotta, we gotta- The best flavor- We gotta conceal his. identity … of Campbell's condensed soup and our superhero is tomato bisque. I was ready for it that time. Who would've thought a guy like me doing a thing like this? I would have never, ever have guessed that.
Link- Ah. Tomato- Thanks for subscribing and clicking that bell … you know what time it is. I say H- h- how did this happen? I haven't seen you eat tomato bisque or tomato soup, two. things that you seem to love. W- I don't know what w- what was up with me then, but that ain't me now. I mean, I'm not gonna… I don't- But it's not tomatoes … hate tomato bisque. Yeah. That, it hasn't changed that I am okay with it, but I never- You don't crave it. remembered or would've thought that the top four, two of, two of them were tomato based.
And I do wanna- And one of them's just vegetable? I wanna address the fact that, uh, big asparagus was very upset with. us, and we have been just- On the outs … fending off with so many letters. It's like chasing his mom … uh, because we just threw cream of asparagus under the bus. So I just wanted to say this, uh, as our official apology. And we will continue- For that … to hate asparagus. No, no. We, uh- Cream of asparagus. No, no. Remember, we're not supposed to hate it anymore because of all the letters. I'm tired of… I, you know, I open all the mail.
My fingers are getting tired. But it's so bad. I- Okay, I'll get a letter opener. It's so bad. And then to, French onion, you threw French onion to third, man. It's like- Well, because- … what about w- neither one of us. knew our brand in that episode. It's like, you gotta stick with your brand. Are you confused? Well, we're just being honest. That we, we can, we can change. I've had tomato, tomato bisque many times since then. I'm just saying French onion soup is your favorite soup. Yep. That, you always say that.
And then you put it at third. Eh, it's in the restaurant setting. Yeah. Okay. All right. Whatever. You know what would make me feel better? Oh, what would it be? I still need to be comforted. A yard sale. Ah, yes. Uh-huh. We are doing a yard sale at mythical.com so that you can stay warm. You can take 20% off all of our outer wear, including hoodies, jackets, sweatshirts, including this amazing… You wanna grab that and then I'll do this?
Look at this. Look at that. You see how big that is? It's time to take 20% off this huge freaking, uh, blanket. If you have one of those, uh, TikTok channels where you put a bunch of, uh, chihuahuas under a blanket, and then you lift up the blanket to reveal a bunch. of chihuahuas- Use our blanket … it's, it's my favorite type of internet video. Get one of these. It feels good, and it, chihuahuas would love to be underneath it. Uh, and it ends on Sunday, July 5th, okay?
So get over to mythical.com. Ugh. Now, the only logical conclusion after you have eaten soup is to bathe in it. This is the chicken noodle soup bath from September 1st, 2016. Way back. Rub-a-dub-dub, two men and some chicken noodles in a tub. Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. Mythical beasts, you are like the inquisitive yodeler who yodeled his question or her.
question from the mountaintop, and we are the echo who, uh, repeated your question. back to you verbatim, uh, but in such a way as to make you think we answered it. Wow, that's very complex. We asked you to ask us questions about sick, being sick, and sick things. Sick day. And Stephanie Mathias asked, "What is the best home remedies. for when you're sick?" Plural.
And since you used S and made it plural- Mm … we're gonna make the answer plural, because everybody knows the number one cure for a cold is chicken noodle soup. Uh-huh. And the number two cure for when you're sick is a hot bath, and we. today are going to combine the two. I don't know if that's actually number two, but so what. It's what we decided to do. Yeah. Let's just go with it. Am I booking this? Not drawing any attention to it. We're gonna make ourselves a chicken noodle soup bath, human size. Here we are again with our trusty metal tub- … that we take two men baths in.
Yep, it, and it's time to do it again, Rhett. Back again. Do you feel sick? You know what? I have been fighting off a cold, and I feel like I still got a little bit-. Mm-hmm … of congestion in there. This is gonna bring you all the way out. It's gonna loosen it up. Hopefully it won't loosen it up and put it into the soup- Don't do that. that I'm sure you're going to be enjoying. Sam- we're gonna sample that. Okay, so we are feeling the heat from the coals that are underneath this. and bringing this up to a simmer. We got some chicken broth already in here. We can add some more. Yeah, we have all the ingredients that you need for chicken noodle.
soup, including chicken broth. Lift with your back, not your legs. There you go. Woo. Mm, I can just smell the sodium. It's healing. The sodium's healing. Oh, look at that. Somebody should have mixed that, but whatever. Of course, you can't have chicken noodle soup without carrots. Carrots make you, make you well. So do celeries. Oh, look at that. Oh, yeah. Ooh wee. Link, I think you have, uh, another important ingredient over there. I've got some onions. These are good for your skin.
Did you know that celery floated? Yeah, brother. I've eaten soup before. I feel like I'm in physics class. Let's noodle this piece. Okay. Uh, lots of noodles, bucketfuls of noodles. Good gosh. You had sort of a noodle nugget there. A noodle plug. You wanna put the noodle-- Whoa, yours plugged. Whoa. Mine's loose too. So, okay, now this is, this is common. Release the noodle kraken. When you're dealing with soup of this size, noodle plugs are not an uncommon occurrence. Not a problem. And here's how you deal with noodle plug.
You take your paddle. Can I have one? Yeah. And you find the plug. You wanna locate the plug. Oh, there's one. You wanna break up the plug. You just wanna break it, you just wanna break up that plug. Oh, yeah, look at that. It can be difficult to locate the plug because the plugs don't float. Plugs are a sinker. Okay. Plugs are a sinker. On that note, we're gonna move on to the most important ingredient. in chicklen n- chicken noodle soup. Chicken. Chicken. Link, I think you've got chickens. Look at all this chicken parts.
Oh man, I'm getting hungry for some bath. It's getting really hot to me too. And- Ooh, we've got pieces of chicken, but we also wanted a chicken chicken. to just be taking a bath with us. Yeah, and that could be what one of us sits on. Or we could play find the chicken. Find the chicken. Yeah. I might be sitting on it. So . Yeah, there he goes. Okay, now I think we should stir again. Now you wanna make sure you just brush up next to the chicken. You don't want to undo the chicken. You want the chicken to stay intact. I, I love how you're talking about this as if you've done it before.
I've done it in my mind. Who has done this before? Look, the chicken floated a little bit. Oh. It bobbed. Let's call her Bob. Okay. All right. Now we wait for this to come up to bathing temperature. Which I'm saying is about 95 degrees. Hmm, that sounds great. That's gonna take time. We're gonna kill the time by singing a song.
Sick as a cat. Sick as a corrupt diplomat. Sick of than beasts. Sicker than Dre. Sick of finding an extra nugget on your lunch tray. I need a chicken noodle soup bad. A chicken noodle soup bad. Just do the math. Sick plus chicken soup equals a chicken noodle soup bad.
Sick as a dog. Sick as a cat. Sick as a middle ages rat. Sicker than you. Sicker than me. Sicker than fruit from a salmonella tree. Salmonella grows on trees. I need a chicken noodle soup bad. A chicken noodle soup bad. Just do the math. Sick plus chicken soup equals a chicken noodle soup bad.
sick plus chicken soup equals a chicken noodle soup bath. Get in. I peed on myself 'cause you played the mouth trumpet. All right. Good song, good soup, good times. All right. Disrobe, Link.
Look at me. Oh, look, you went with, you went with the purple theme too. Yeah, everyth- … Oh, don't wanna do that. We always wear the best shorts when we take baths together. All right. Don't tip this. Okay. Usually when I take it out to do something, I then proceed to do it. Let me check the bottom of your feet and make sure they're clean before you. stick them in something I'm gonna eat. How's that? Mm. How about mine? Kinda dirty. All right. Pretend you didn't see that. All right. Let's go in. I think I'll get in first because I got more leg than you do, and. you can kinda work around me. All right. More leg, more brain. Let me see if I can get it up there.
Oh. Oh. Whoa. Is it warm? Well, there's a chicken under it on my foot right now. Oh, you get, you get to sit on the chicken? What are the, what are the chances that I stepped on the chicken? Get in there. Ooh. Ooh nasty or ooh awesome? I just don't know what I'm feeling, but I'm feeling good. All right. I'm coming in after you. Oh, it's nice and warm. All right. All right, here we go. Ooh. Mm. Oh, yeah, I got my foot on the noodles.
There's like a noodle bed. It's a noodle bed. A noodle bed. Yeah. There's a noodle bed. Ooh. Ooh, mama. Man, well, you know what? We went heavy on the celery. Well, the celery's just up there. Gotta get them celery mixed. Right, get it down. Get it mixed. You know what we mean. Grab, grab some noodles, but grab noodles, not noodle. Okay. Hey, hey. Whoa, whoa, whoa. You're getting close. Noodle. Um, now I also wanna make an observation that this is a perfect example of. what I would want to see in a bite of chicken noodle soup in a little spoon.
And you're gonna eat that? Yeah, I'm just gonna sink my mouth into it. You first. I'm gonna sink my mouth into it. Oh, gosh. Get well one bite at a time. This is extremely healthy. Good? I mean, it's chicken noodle soup. How can it be bad? Carrots aren't cooked that much yet. Whoa. There it is. He's lost… Whoa.
This is the life, man. Well, this is a life. These are two lives. You want some chicken? I don't like to just bite a whole chicken. That's not becoming of a man. Oh. I knew it. Yeah, buddy. No. Nice and warm. Woo. How is it? It's warm, yeah. You wanna follow it up with a chicken breast? Sure.
Excuse me. Sprite and chicken breast. Happy man, happy hands. Hold on. Is that your foot? No. Oh. Chicken soup for the soul. Empty nesters. Empty nesters. Look at how pristine it is. Hey. How did it… What? It was like it was in a pocket. It's to- it's totally dry on the inside. Read away, empty nester. This is chapter 65, Swings and Things. "Now we go down to the garage. It's a two car, but there's only one car.
Why? Because here are my oldest son's skiing and camping gear, all our children's. bicycles and sleds, and all of the toys they outgrew but couldn't bear to throw away. We miss our children terribly, but one question keeps nagging at my brain. What is this empty nest we keep hearing about? The kids may have flown, but we're stuck with their droppings." Ew, clean that up. Yeah, kids taking dumps in the garage? That's a disorder. Get them out of the nest. All right, I'm gonna put this completely sealed book back in here.
Hey, let's take turns submerging ourselves completely. Smer- submerging? Yeah, you submerge first, then I submerge. Okay. Well, you know how this goes. You gotta get your arms out, and I gotta get my legs up around you. I'm gonna turn sideways for this. Wow, this feels great. The soup, I mean. Get your head under. I'm gonna put the book in between me and you. Yeah, do it. As, as a barrier. I can really get up on you. Tell me when you're done. There he goes, and that's the last we saw of Rhett.
This is not a desirable place to be. Ah. How was it? Salty. Did you open your mouth under there? Yes. Light up, brother. Everything is so soft in here. Exactly. All right, let me, let me have a turn. I'm gonna have to- Come down to your sides here. Then I'm gonna get my arms out, and then I'm gonna. Can you hold my glasses? Put your legs in my hands. Just slide them like I'm gonna… They're like stirrups. There, there, there we go.
Oh. Oh. Whoa, look at. that. Ah. It's salty under there, isn't it? My life flashed before my eyes and it looked like chicken. Uh, this was fun for a little bit and now, uh, I'm thinking this is weird a. lot bit, so I'd like to, I'd like to get out and, uh, get on with my life. I'm glad that we did it. I don't feel like I have to do it anymore.
Yeah, this is kind of a one-time thing. Yeah, it's a oner. And you know what? Maybe we should look into getting a trough for each of us. I think we actually already have that. Oh, really? I don't know why we're not in two. Okay. Thanks for liking, commenting, and subscribing. You know what time it is. Wow, you're, I, I- I kind of want some chicken noodle soup now, man. You're, uh, and yes, w- just so you understand, we fed all. of that to the crew after. They all came out there- Oh, yeah … and just went head deep- … in that. Slurping it up.
Nothing goes to waste. Um- Is the song still in your head? I know it is. It's, it's in my head. Well, you know what's in my head? Your trumpet solo. Your trumpet solo, uh, first of all, great transition from whistling to. trumpet solo, and just when I thought that- It was a bit overkill … I was. getting tired of the trumpet solo, you just went up a whole register. And that's when it actually got good. Yes. You really saved it. I sh- you know, my notes were cut the whistling entirely in the first half. Oh, everybody loves a whistle. But the whistle wasn't good enough. No, the whistle made me want- We should have brought in a guest whistler. The whistle made me want a little bit something, and the thing that I didn't.
know that I wanted was mouth trumpet. You know what we should have done is, my note is you should have. whistled because- Oh, I can't whistle … you're so good at whistling. I can't whistle. I can't, every time he whistles, I just love to hear it. I have, I have- He's gonna do it again right now- If it's- … and I just love to hear it. Hold on. If the solo is two notes in the whatever key I'm about to whistle, then I, I could have done it. These are the two notes that I can whistle.
Now if I want to go higher than that Yeah goes away. If I want to go lower than that, goes away. So. So whatever key that is, if you need a whistling solo for your song- Those might. be the two best whistle notes anyway. Oh, okay. Well, I'll take it. It's all about rhythm then. No, I can't go fast. No, you hit an extra note. Yeah, I did. I did, I did. Okay. Some people like to relax- Do the math … by partaking in a little bit of gardening.
To be blunt, some people prefer to garden with a friend. More of a joint effort. You know, that reminds me of my good buddy, MJ. It does? She's quite the chronic gardener. Oh. This is Best Midnight Munchies Taste Test for January 15th, 2025. Are Munchie Meals still good when you don't have the munchies? Let's talk about that.
Good Mythical Morning. From what I hear, recreational gardening is becoming more and more. popular, particularly in 25 states. Yeah, and when your brain is in gardening mode, it turns out you have a. tendency of cooking up some wild munchie meals that make no sense whatsoever. But your garden to brain loves it anyway. Uh, which raises the question we're gonna answer today. Do odd munchie meals hold up when you aren't gardening?
It's time for Pass the Munchie Pon the Left-Hand Side. Oh, hello, Emily. Hi. How you doing? Eh, I'm good. All right. Okay, boys. We sent Emily home with a specific munchie meal. We found all of today's munchie meals on subreddits and TikToks. dedicated to food creations people have made while, ahem, gardening. Mm-hmm. Of course, Emily started her evening by getting into a few, um, potted plants.
Then she prepared, tasted, and rated the dish on a scale of 4 to 20, just a random. scale we thought we'd try out today. You'll find Emily's munchie meal under the cloche in front of you. It's a bowl of Cheerios and milk with pieces of white Oreos. Okay. Ooh. So a dessertified- Ooh, nice … cereal. So Rhett and Link, you can go ahead and taste it now. Oh, okay. 'Cause that's the info you're gonna need to try and guess what score Emily gave it- Yeah.
… you know, when she was eating it earlier. Huh. I'm interested- Okay … to see how much milk you do put on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like the way you went o- Dang … you, you went over all the cookies, 'cause I was gonna suggest that. Yeah. You wanna start to get a little float, and then you stop, and. then you wanna do a tamp down. You wanna do a- Or a no-go float … you wanna do a tamp down. And yes, some cereal may fall out, um, maybe for you later. Okay, so I'm- Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah … I'm going for a blonde Oreo. Oh, yeah. I'm going down deep for the Cheerios.
Did you get an Oreo? Yeah. Okay. Two. And you want a lot of milk on that spoon. Whoo-wee. Um, I really, really like the sogginess of the Oreo- It's good … with. the crunchiness of the Cheerio. Do we need to give a score right now? Okay, so you have white boards in front of you. You're competing against each other. You're guessing what Emily scored it. Oh. Remember, the scale's 4 to 20, uh, while she was gardening.
So go ahead and, and write those guesses down. Okay. I didn't even think about it. I don't know about your relationship to cereal. I don't remember what I scored this. Okay. Is there a record? I hope so. Ah. Okay. I just went completely on instinct. Uh, yeah. 'Cause I figured that's what you did. Which is? Yeah. I said 18. I said 17, so- Eh … we're hovering.
Okay. Let's see what she actually thought. All right. I'm about to try this- Oh. Oh no, I didn't know we were listening to it. Uh, blonde O's- Kick me out of here … and Cheerios and milk. Okay. I don't know. I don't like it. What? Oh, Emily. It's just too much of a good thing, you know? You- Plain Cheerios is enough. No. Maybe put a little bit of sugar or something. Exactly. But with the Oreo it's like, good God.
I also talked too long and then it got mushy, so- Yeah … it's a little, it's. not as crunchy as it could be, I guess. That's part of it. I do like the Oreo crunchiness. What does it taste like? I can't even describe what it tastes like. Ugh, it's too much. It makes sense for the cookies to be in the milk, I get that, but I really. wish you had done the regular Oreos. Why is that? The chocolate Oreos. That would've been great. On a scale of 4 to 20, I give this munchie a score of four. Oh. Four. Emily. I would never eat this. What?
Uh, uh. What? So it's, wh- but how have we gone totally backwards? I'm sorry. I mean, where, what, what were, what were you hungry for? Well, ta- taste it now, Emily, 'cause I'm worried about the amount of sog, but I do wanna know, do you stand by that opinion in this state of mind? Now it's all mushy, though. Yeah. Well, it's the same- Again. No, it feels like that's part of it, right? At least swallow it before you judge it. Yeah, yeah, I, I can see it all over your face. You feel the same way.
You don't like mush. Have you been gardening today? No. I slept in my contacts, though. That's why my eyes look like that. Um, I just wish it was Lucky Charms. This is so much better than Lucky Charms. So you still don't like it. Well, here's what I'll say- And that icing, like, coats my teeth … I feel. like maybe- I don't like it … having a pack of cookies- Uh-huh … getting. cereal, and putting a cookie on top of- One at a time … one at a time. A dry cookie on top of the Cheerios- Mm … and going for it like that might. be enough to- So when y'all garden, you like to give yourself more work to do?
I mean, I wouldn't know. All I'm saying is- I don't have, I don't have- I would, I'm not giving myself more. stuff to do … I don't have a green thumb … one should not have regular Cheerios in. their house unless they have a little baby. Otherwise- I have regular Cheerios in my house 'cause I have high cholesterol. Get out of here. If you're using Cheerios to lower your cholesterol… Hey, it says it on the box. It says it on the box, yeah. It also says, like, could help.
Right, that's all you need. It doesn't say it will, but- All you need is a chance. Yeah. Okay. That's not all that we asked Emily- Oh … while she was, uh, in- I'm disappointed. in, in that state. Sorry. Uh, we also asked her- I was, too … what name- Yeah … she. would give this munchie meal. So go ahead and write on your whiteboards what name you think Emily- How long. you think this tangent's gonna be? How about we guess that, too? Extra points. How on earth will we guess the name? Um, I think she- Oh, hey, Howard. I think she called it Mush Bad.
Howard dropped it off at my place. I think she called it Super Sweet Soggy Business. Okay, let's hear. If I were to give this munchie a name, it would be… Oh, I don't know what to call it. I don't know. The Dumb Blonde? No, that's bad. Oh. Although I am naturally blonde, and in this moment I think I'm that. Um- That's pretty good … hang on. That wasn't very nice to say to myself. I shouldn't… I'm not dumb. You're very self-aware. No, I am technically blonde.
You got into your head a little bit. You feel like you're being watched? Okay. What should I call this? Uh, Biscuit Swamp. Biscuit Swamp. I remember this at all. That's good. All right. Sweet Biscuit Swamp. That's good. She's still talking. Um, those were two good names. I, I think Biscuit, Biscuit Swamp, that's pretty close to-. Yeah … Soggy Business Swamp. Yeah. Whatever. Yeah, I almost said B- Biscuit and said Business instead. Two good names, though. I think I talked on that for, like, an hour. I would love to visit the Dumb Blonde Biscuit Swamp.
Boy, there's a nickname in high school thing to do there. Yeah, somewhere. Jordan Hi What up? Good to see you. Hi, good to see you all. Yo, yo, yo. Good to be here. Okay, let's go ahead and see Jordan's munchie meal. This is a Philly cheese steak sub from Subway that was lathered with nacho cheese and. then covered in Flamin' Hot Cheeto crumbs. Yeah, it was.
So you take the sub home and then you, you roll it in this. Did you do the rolling yourself? I did not. I think this is, this was made by the, uh, wonderful geniuses in the Mythical Kitchen. Uh- So, so you would say that it was pre-rolled? It was, it was pre… Yes. And it's an edible, so there you go. I love the, like, bright red contrasted with the depressing gray of the meat. Mm. Mm. It's a little dry. Mm. I, I, I like it.
This could be a problem on top of a problem, you know? There's still some cheese moist in the middle. Would you want, like, more mayonnaise, more cheese? What do you think would help it? Probably just a drink. Yeah. Maybe some Oreos. Ooh, it's getting hot. Maybe dipping it in something. It's hotter than I thought. Okay, so you have your whiteboards. What do you think Jordan gave this monstrosity? Okay. The flavor's really nice. Yeah. It- Certainly improves the flavor … it, it does burst.
It bursts with all types of new flavors. Yeah. There are mouth surprises. Mm-hmm. And you for- You totally forget that it's Subway. I think you definitely liked it. It's not a four situation. 12. I'm going with 14. We're still in the same area. Okay. What's your, uh- Did you record yourself? Hear what Jordan said. I did. Hey, Mythical guys. This is Jordan. I got the munchies.
Okay. First, the smell Okay, the smell is bad. The smell is mildly poisonous, and as far as the actual steak goes, uh, I have bisected the sandwich and the steak in the steak and cheese is gray. This is the grayest steak I have ever seen in my life. And it looks like E.T. when he gets sick. Okay. I'm going to have a taste.
I know there's some sick freaks out there who love chewing noises, so here they come. Num, num, num. Num, num, num. Time to swallow. Oh, my gosh. Okay. Um, hmm. The taste. Uh, it doesn't taste fresh. It tastes like maybe it's been in a trunk for a few hours. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da. Munchies. Guys, harmonize with me. Munchies.
Munchies. Okay, free theme song. Bye. Wait. Hold on, you forgot to rate it. You, wait, you didn't give a score? Listen. You're gonna, you're gonna ask me to go out to the garden and then. follow a bunch of directions? He g- he gave a song. Yeah, I wrote a hit song.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's gonna chart. No, I, I think you should interpret what you said- Yeah … in that score, and I. don't think you should taste it again. Yeah, take yourself back to that place based on what you heard. Listen, when you're gardening, you play Mario Kart. You don't play Settlers of Catan, okay? Too many rules. Okay. Um, I think my score- Would have been … would have been, at the time, like a six. Oh, okay. I didn't love it. I thought there was some fun innovation going on.
I thought the spicy Cheeto flavor was nice, but nothing in the sandwich tasted that good. You said it stunk and was, and looked like a sick alien. Yeah. All right, but taste it now. Yeah, yeah. I'm just surprised that I'm the one who likes this the most out of the three of us. I th- I like the taste. I just said the dryness could be a compounding problem. Yes, you did. Okay? That's all I'm saying. You know what? Significantly better. Still, still, you know, still not my fave, still probably something.
I, I don't think I would eat this again during a gardening session. Okay. But the freshness of this, um- Has helped … has really made- Y'all gave him the old one? Nicole's like, "No." Okay. Well, more importantly, and we'll see if you actually answered this question, Jordan, we. asked you who you thought the best celebrity spokesperson for this Munchie Meal would be. So Rhett and Link, go ahead and write down- Oh … who you think Jordan said.
Okay. I think the, I will mention, I think the, I think the kitchen folks did their best. I live in kind of a far-flung suburb of LA, so I think it had to be in an. intern's car for two or three hours. Okay. Wow. Okay, that's where it was. There's some, there's some X factors at play here. I- is there, like, some court order that won't let you live. more than three hours close to LA? Yeah. Okay, I'm just gonna go with the numbers here and say Shaq. Yeah. You know? Okay, right. You know? There's a chance.
I thought Carrot Top would be a good fit for this. Hmm. Oh. Both fun answers. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's hear. I think the best celebrity spokesperson for this would be Nicolas Cage, because. this food is full of weird choices. And it's loud. It's loud to look at, and I imagine it's gonna be loud. coming out into my toilet later. Okay. All right. Wow. I love that. Wow. The transparency. No filter, man. No filter. You'll notice in. that photo there was a little white glob on the sandwich.
I don't know what that glob was. I don't think it was mayonnaise. That was something from your apartment. It did fall under my couch. Okay, let's take a look at Gwynedd's munchie meal. Queen Gwynedd. Yes. Sorry. Uh, buffalo wings drizzled with sweet pumpkin sauce. Oh. Yum. Whoo. The pumpkin is strong down here. Pumpkin sauce is a- Give it a, give it a gra- grabbing a whiff … uh,
sweet pumpkin sauce is a thing. Where do you get sweet pumpkin sauce? Is it in a bottle? If it's not something you get- A jar? … out of a can, I don't know how e- how practical it is. I'd love to know, honestly. I'm dripping over here. Yeah. Eating wings on camera is not easy. That's right. This is a tough job, Gwynedd. I know. I'm not … I offend, people don't like the way I eat chicken wings. Well, we're gonna have to see that in a few minutes. Mm. Um- I hate this … well- … I'm not a big pumpkin flavor fan.
I actually think that on the scale of. normal pumpkin expectations, it's a little bit better than I was expecting, but I still- Okay … dislike it. And I d- I just don't have a sweet tooth no matter what, so- Mm-hmm. this is not for me. I mean- Even on your wangs? What? Mm. Um. Okay. Uh. I like a little pumpkin. You wanna write down- I guess- … what you thought? I gu- Okay. Blah, blah, blah, blah. What? Queen Gwynedd. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Okay. Um, see, I'm trying to figure out what I know about you and your sweet toothiness. Mm. I know that you, you do like pumpkin flavored things, though. I, I've observed that in, here in, in this environment. Yeah. All right. What'd you say? I said 12. I'm hedging my bets on this one. I said 11. Okay. We, we're really laying claim to our sides of the spectrum- I wanna taste. this again … a- across the whole thing. Okay, let's hear. I just recorded a whole thing and I realized that I didn't record anything. It was horrible.
It's so horrible, so I'm tr- I'm doing this for- A second time, oh my God, I'm. like, "Gulp." Um, okay, so the chicken wings are, taste-wise, they're just like, I, I like them, but they're very sweet. It's like, um, I said it's like a honey I said, 'cause I'm repeating everything now. Um, I, they're like honey barbecue wings, but without the barbecue. It's just kinda like honey wings- Yeah … with maybe a little bit of. pumpkin spice in there, I'm guessing. So you remember what you said.
Um, but I like it. It was good. I think that they're good, and I'm enjoying eating them, and I'm gonna keep eating them. I think the ven- best munchies foods are things that you can just eat. without having to prepare anything. So if someone's making these for me, then like, yes, sure, they're good. And they're, I think that they're good because they have a- … kind of a. sweet savory combo- Keep going … which you want in a good munchies food. Otherwise, you have to keep indefinitely switching back between a sweet food and. a savory food- I picture you lying down. until you have Just like, like staring at the ceiling.
Until the moment you go to bed. On a scale of 4 to 20, I give this munchie. a score of 15. Yeah. All right. All right. All right. Well, there we go. She's generous. I like her. Wow. Ex- this is what we expected, and I, 'cause I expect- … your score to go down. Now. In person. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And when you taste them now in this state, how, how do you- Yeah. Let's see what horrible wing etiquette you have, Gwynedd. What, what do you do that makes people upset?
I don't like the skin, and I know that that's not a popular opinion. I would normally like- Oh, yeah … I would manipulate them like this, and I would tear pieces off of them. But then you can also, like, dunk a little better too. Oh, yeah. Nuggets. You eat them like that. Okay. I also leave a lot of, a lot of stuff behind on them, which offends people. People do get upset about that. I know. My God. People are like, "Don't like-" Like, relax. Okay, how do they taste right now? I think that they taste better when you're gardening.
Okay. Yep. By how much? What's your, what's your score difference? I mean, does it go way down? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's horrible. Okay. Mm-hmm. It's horrible. We also asked Gwynedd to name a fictional character- … that would like this munchie. So write down on your white boards-. … who do you think she said. All right. I think I, I think I know this one. That would be amazing. Well, if you used any logic. Oh, okay.
I mean, with all that honey talk. Okay. Winnie the Pooh. Oh. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Okay. Well, I, I created a new fictional character, Little Dan the Pumpkin Man. Cute. Oh, yeah. That's- Odds, hopefully you did as well … odds are, yeah, y'all created the. same fictional character out of thin air. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's hear it. A fictional character that would like this munchie is, um, Captain Jack Sparrow. Just 'cause he, I don't know, his teeth are all rotten out, I bet.
Um, and he's just kind of a hessian. And he's also an actual man. Well- Not a bear. Oh, gosh … he also, I mean, Winnie- Link … the Pooh and, uh, Pirates are both owned by Disney. Disney. That's right. But one's a bear and one's a man. Yeah. One, that is not a man. Little Dan the Pumpkin Man ironically is not a man. No, I made him up. He's pumpkin. What is it? Oh. I'm picturing him. He's pumpkin. He's a little man that works with pumpkins. I know. And he makes things from pumpkins. Read the wiki.
He drives a pumpkin. He's made of pumpkins. Read the wiki. Okay. I, you know, I buy both arguments. We're gonna go out on a tie, and that means that you both get to kick back. with some kush in Good Mythical More. Okay. All right. Thanks, Gwynedd, for, um, f- for subjecting yourself to science. What were you watching on that television? Oh, I was watching, um, the new Lindsay Lohan, um, Christmas movie. Oh, yeah.
I wasn't watching Pirates of the Caribbean. Okay. I don't know where I got Captain Jack Sparrow from. Well, thank you, Gwynedd. Thanks. And thanks for commenting and sharing this video. You know what time it is. Sweet Biscuit Swamp is the one that I wanted to go back to now that I saw. it again But again, question, did you? Have you? No, I haven't. A matter of fact, I am not eating cereal at all.
Like, I, I- Oh … it's not in the house for m- for- What happened? … many months, maybe a year. I don't know. I'm just trying, just trying to cut back. Well, what are you doing for like… But, but you ate cereal- You know what I'm doing now? … late at night. You didn't eat it in the morning. Yeah. I eated it, I ate it at night and I tried to cut that out, like. sweet- So what's your snacky snack? And then I didn't wanna go worse than… I was tr- I'm trying to do a. healthy thing and just not have cereal in the house, 'cause I will like- Okay. I'll eat one bowl, then I'll eat a second bowl, and then, I mean, I might.
have eaten a third bowl, dude And you've moved on from ice cream, too. You were doing ice cream. And I'm not gonna go to ice cream. So you know what I'm going to? Are you an- is it, are you anti-bowl? No, I'm anti-late night reams of sugar. Okay. So what I do now is nut cabinet All right … have an entire. cabinet, it's just nothing but nuts. That sounds fun. And Not, not really. I know, it's not as fun, so I don't- Yeah … eat as much nuts as I would cereal.
I'm a nut snacker, too. But, like, I'll sit there and like, and I've started putting things in between…. Like, Christy- Nuts hit the spot, man … she got, like, containers. and then she'll, like- Label them? She doesn't even label them because you, they're clear and you can see the nuts. Okay. There's a walnut, there's a macadamia nut, which- Walnuts are very good. for you … that's, walnuts are good for you, but macadamia nuts. are the one that I eat the most. Well, 'cause they taste great. 'Cause they taste the best. And then there's just almonds and some Brazil nuts.
Tell me those are good for me. Brazil nuts are great. I saw a woman on, on the internet who said if you wanted to, if you just. ate one Brazil nut a day, for men, you would never u- never lose your virility. Oh, down there? Yeah. One Brazil nut a day keeps the ED doctor away. But really, though? I don't know. Hey, Brazil's got it figured out. I've been, I've been eating four or five a day, though. And? They only grow in Brazil, and they grow from trees, and they fall.
The, the, the pods fall and sometimes they'll kill people. I bet you it'll… And it's not like a farm. It's like, it's a tree in the forest. How many- It's a giant tree … how many Brazil nuts are in a pod-. I don't- … to kill somebody? Uh, I don't know. Look it up … I mean, you gotta have at least 18. I'm not gonna look it up. No, no. It's a- You're telling me this stuff … it's a lot. I should know it. I, you should know it- I just- … and you should tell me till I know it … I just gave. you about seven pieces of information and you asked about one detail that I didn't know? The most important part. How many seeds are in a pod?
Well, I'm- 10 to 25. 10 to 25. Thank you, Chase. Man, I knew it. I knew that. That is a, I mean, and if, if 10 to 20, if there's 25 Brazil nuts in a. pod and that thing j- It could kill you … just 25 Brazil nuts will kill you. And it is- Not just the other matter around it … su- it is coming from so high. They're so big, these trees. It's like Swiss Family Robinson. I'm gonna be thinking about this whenever- Brazil Nut Robinsons. I eat these Brazil nuts. It can weigh, like, five pounds. Yeah, it can weigh five pounds. That, that is heavy falling from a tree. The Brazil nuts are up on the top shelf, and ironically, if they were to fall.
off and hit me, it could change my life. But Brazil nuts don't taste good. Let's just be clear about that. They're, they're, uh, there's a weird, there's a weirdness to them. They're, they're really hard, and it's about that crunch. And then I'll eat some sunflower seeds, which is, I consider that a nut Okay. And then I'll eat prunes I don't think you just get to say that, but Which. But- I consider sunflower seeds a nut Well here, here- They're in my nut.
cabinet Well, I have pumpkin seeds and they're also in my nut place See? You gotta … Where's your nut place? It's in the cabinet. But it's not a whole nut cabinet, it's a shelf in the pantry. Oh, God, dude. You gotta come over And, uh, I put Brazil nuts, walnuts, and. pumpkin seeds in my smoothie. Do you, do you nut your smoothie? You just nut at night. Too much. Too much so far. What, what? What, what, what, what, what?
I'm just a little embarrassed. Okay. All right. One of the things you may or may not have picked up on- But I feel good. now … is the fact that every video that we've been showing, every episode, has something that it is getting thematically from the previous episode. Have you noticed that pattern? Go back and watch this marathon again, all of it again. Yeah. To see that. Yeah, yeah. But what, I'm gonna tell you this one so you'll know, and that. is the connection is pumpkin. So now we're moving on to This Is What's the Best Pumpkin Spice. Snack, from October 23rd, 2019.

by tasting actual pumpkin spice. Now, you may already know this, but pumpkin spice does not contain any actual pumpkin. It's a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and allspice. It was just cleverly designed by marketing companies to. capitalize on that autumn feeling. So we have that right here. Looks like brown sugar-ish cocoa. Let's taste it. Wow. It's a straight up thing. It's very strong. It's mostly cinnamon-ish, but it's more dirt-ish.
It's like a dampened down cinnamon. Well, it kind of just tastes like what you would remember as pumpkin spice. Yeah. First up, the piping hot bean juice that started it all, the pumpkin spice latte. Uh, I don't find myself ordering this much, or never. I have never ordered it. 'Cause I don't like sweets in my coffees. I really like this, and I don't like flavored coffees in general.
So I can't. But does it match the spice? That's really the question. Yes, it's good. It's sweet. There's no sweetness in the spice. So I think they're s- they're, they're sneaking in sugar, and that. seems, that seems underhanded to me. Um, I don't know- If you're really making a pumpkin spice latte…. You see what I'm getting at? Well, I just feel like- It'd be better … I would know that the pumpkin, this. is a pumpkin spice latte because you told me it was a pumpkin spice latte. In reality, it could be so many other things.
I'm just gonna give it a four. I agree. I'm gonna be more harsh, um, because I've got something to prove. I'm smaller, uh, you know? I don't wanna get into- Wow … relationships, but I'm giving. it a three, for a total of seven. Thomas's bran pumpkin spice English muffins are the 77th bestselling. English muffin on Amazon. Well, I think this particular, this particular, uh, pumpkin spice one is. Yeah, true . I think this, I don't think that Thomas's- I didn't mean to diss you, Thomas.
It's- They're probably the number one selling … I'm just, the, the pumpkin spice that we. are tasting- When I think of b- uh, English muffins- Oh, we don't, why am I opening this? I don't know. We've already got them open. It's already there. I, I like to eat them cold and unsliced. Okay, good. I'll, I'll have this over here then. Maybe I'll taste it that way, too. I'm gonna start with just the straight up untoasted. Okay. $14 on Amazon. Now, you see they have, like, little pieces of, like, flavor pockets.
It's subtle. It's very subterranean and subtle. I can taste it. It is very subtle. Let's see if it comes out in the toasting process. Like, comes out into your mouth or goes out into the atmosphere? If it's enhanced. Oh, actually it is. What? Do you not taste it more? I've still got the other in the back of my throat and it's, it's wafting forward. Let me swallow that. Okay, now I've still got some in the front. It's stronger when it's toasted.
It, it permeates the breading. It permeates my mouth. Yeah. It goes up when you toast it. And then when you refrigerate it and un-toast it… Oh, hold on. It's subtle. Not recommended. But it is the exact same flavor profile as pumpkin spice. But it's subtle, so it kind of balances itself out. You have your score and I have mine. It tastes exactly the same as the thing, but it's subtle, so. I'm gonna say- Six … se- seven. I'm saying seven, for a total of 13.
Okay, next up, Blue Diamond Pumpkin Spice Almonds. And let us- Dude, I didn't know these existed. let us not forget, the salt and vinegar Brian was awarded to Blue. Diamond Salt and Vinegar Almonds. So they basically have a track record of r- of replicating flavors. Here they do. Here they do. Now, why you opening that? 'Cause we got them over here, homes. I'm just smelling them. They don't smell like pumpkin spice when you just put your nose on them. Guess, guess you gotta put your mouth on them.
Smells like cinnamon cereal. Hmm. Huh. All the other flavors, like, hit hard. This one just kind of- You know what hits the hardest? It saunters in. You know what flavor hits the hardest? It slinks over. Almonds. You know what hits next? It, it actually tastes like- Toasted almonds. It's toasted. That's exactly what it tastes like. I'm a culinary savant. Now, listen, Blue Diamond.
All you gotta do is this, you know? You just gotta take pumpkin spice and put it over almonds. Right? You can't taste those now. I mean, I, I'm an industrial engineer. You can't taste those now. I, I know manufacture processes, and, uh, I mean, just if you consulted. with me, I'd be like, "Dump the dump and then package the package.". Do you rub two almonds together and get fire? So this is not really… Knowing your capabilities, I'm really let down. Two. I would ask you to lick those, but you just compromised all of them.
Even after doing that, they don't taste like pumpkin spice. It tastes more like pumpkin spice if you just lick them, which is not what. you probably want to do to almonds. So I'm gonna give it a four, for a total of six. Pumpkin spice Jell-O. Pudding. Pudding. Jell-O pudding. Pudding. And pie filling. I didn't think they made food like this anymore. In boxes? Yeah, like, it's just a box with, like, a bag inside of it, and. this is, like, from my childhood. I didn't know… When you go in the grocery store, you don't see that anymore.
We live in a new land, a new world. It's the future. What, what- This is the past. This is past packaging. This is outdated. You haven't been looking as you pass it through the grocery store. So we know that pumpkin pie is not made out of pumpkin. We're gonna explore that more in Good Mythical More, I think. But- Hmm. This is tricky. This is tricky, because we also know that pumpkin spice is not made from pumpkin. I feel like, yeah, but this has got pumpkin spice all throughout it. Which is not pumpkin.
But it's this. Spice. I like it. I love it. This is my type of consistency, just mushy. When I get old and lose my teeth, I'll be the happiest man on earth when. I'm eating what I have to eat then. Will you still be able to talk? Yeah, but it'll be a little bit different. It'll be even worse. Try this, and then directly after that, try the spice, and see. if you don't learn something. I learned… Well, let me s- I don't wanna influence you. What did you learn? It makes it taste like tree shavings. I think it's 'cause you're sticking your tongue directly into it.
You know, go a little bit lighter, like- Listen, my objective is. not to annoy you left and right. I'll do whatever you want. No, I, I want you to actually, I want you to… This is important. We're gonna have a real ranking here. I think it tastes exactly the same. Yep. I'm giving this a nine. Oh, I'm g- I'm getting serious. You don't want me to screw it up. Right. For comedy? Yeah. I don't do that, dude. Well, what's your score? Since when am I funny? Since when are you funny? Well, that's not for me to decide.
I, I'm, this is the- Thank God … this is the, this is the best for me. This is a nine. It's my favorite thing. But how much does it taste like pumpkin spice? There's a lot riding on this. A Jell-O sponsorship is one of them. Because you know they're looking for spokespeople. Oh, goodness. Uh, just out of sheer guilt, I'm gonna bump my score by one, just being honest, to an eight. For a total of 17. Okay, Kellogg's Pumpkin Spice Mini Wheats.
You ever had these? I have not because I'm so attached to regular bite-sized Frosted Mini Wheats. that I don't wanna, I don't, I, I don't want that to be screwed up for me, like potentially is about to happen. Well, maybe if you try these just for the fall season and then you go back. to the regs, you'll appreciate them. Yeah, that's true. Regs is short for regulars. Could happen. Regulars. I'm trying to make that a thing. Okay. Um, you know what I'm trying to make a thing, pouring the milk. Yeah, I think that is a thing.
Like in what? I mean, if you feel like you, you made it a thing, you're. gonna feel great about yourself. This is my thing. Come on, man, work with my segues. There's not a lot of milk in there. I'm not complaining, but, uh, who are we kidding? I'm constantly complaining. We need a little bit more milk. Um, I th- I think that the s- Here, here's my question. Would we really want Kellogg's to just throw this on the Mini Wheat? If, if that's our standard- More milk … is that what… Thank you. Hey, hey, do that more, more milk pouring thing.
Oh, you remember that thing? Do that milk pouring thing you do. Yeah, yeah. The thing you came up with? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The thing you're trying to make a thing? Oh, yeah. Well, I- Do it. Do it … I mean, I don't wanna say it's- Do it again … it's not a thing. It's just something that I do, you know? It's just, uh, you know, when I'm pouring myself a bowl of. m- cereal and just milk there. I think that's gonna catch on. I think that's got a real good chance of catching on. It's, you know, I, I don't think anyone should try it. What were you asking? Is this on that a good idea if that's our standard? All we're trying to do is help the friendly consumer know which thing tastes.
the most like pumpkin spice, if pumpkin spice is something that they wanna taste. Why? 'Cause they might love pumpkin spice. And let me just say right up front-. this one doesn't taste like pumpkin spice at all. Because it tastes good, and that's really what I'm getting at. Pumpkin spice tastes bad. So you actually want all of these to fail, and this one does 'cause it's, it's mostly, it, it's a bunch of fakery. There's a bunch of orange nothingness added to Frosted Mini Wheats, and then a.
little bit of something at the last second. I will say it's building a little bit after I had the sixth one. Eh, it has not surpassed a four for me. I'm gonna settle on a four. Again, I love it, but I can't find it. But because I love it so much, I'm giving it a five. Well, for a total of nine. Finally, we have horse treats. That's right, Rhett. We're about to eat horse treats. You know, I've never thought about it because I've never f- had to feed a horse. Uh- But, you know, horse treats is a thing, isn't it?
It looks- And hold on. Rest assured, g- pipe down, people, it is made in Texas. Just don't worry, all right? Whoa. Why's it gotta be… Why do y'all gotta… Why you gotta be all. braggy about making it in Texas? It looks like prehistoric marshmallows, like something you found in a archaeological dig. And Australiopithecus- … was known to make s'mores. Now, um- Or it could just be dung. Kelly Tucker lived across the street from my nana and papa. She was the blonde- Yes, she did … that I thought that the old.
blonde chick in our framed picture in the old GMM world, uh, looked like. I had a crush on her. She had a dog named Pepper, and when he took a dump, it looked just like that. Oh, g- boy, that was a long way around to a simple dookie joke. Uh, man. Pepper. Pepper, Pepper, Pepper packs. In- interestingly, Pepper is a very common name for what? A dog. Horses. Ah. Like, if you go to camp, I bet you my left nut there will be a horse named Pepper.
I don't need two, 'cause basically they don't work anyway. Go, go to your nearest horse pasture. Just start yelling out, "Pepper.". Pepper. One of those horses is gonna come to you. I don't think horses respond to, uh, English. I think they respond- German. They, no, they respond to spurs. N- N- No, no, they… All horses speak German. Spurs and, spurs and lassos. Man, you gotta have horse teeth to get into these, but look who, look. who's having no trouble at all.
It, it looks, it looks to me that I'm eating- I need to get into that. God. What… How do you eat animal food so non-hesitantly? It's dry. I know that's not a word. It's dry. It's horrible. I'm looking for the pumpkin spice. There is none. They just put it on the package so people buy it in the fall. They knew…. Hold on. They knew. Those Texans knew we wouldn't eat it. We got you, Texans. There is no pumpkin spice in this- We got everybody in Texas … that. a human like me can discern. I don't… Maybe it's on the label.
I give it a zero. That's coming from a man who has ridden a horse. Ironically, I've never ridden a horse. You did have a dream about it one time though. I did. He said, "This is coming from a man who has dreamed about riding a. horse." I'm- And what do you give it? … getting tears in my eyes. Zero. For a total of zero. And that means that we have decided that the Jell-O pudding and pie filling is the most. pumpkin spice thing you can have this season, which means just make yourself a pumpkin pie.
That's the best way to deliver pumpkin spice directly to your palate. You're welcome, and congratulations, Jell-O. You're now Pumpkin Spice Brian. Thank you for ringing bells, liking things, and commenting. You know what time it is. When Rhett segued into what we just watched, he, I don't know, I assume you remember this. Yeah. He said that everyone's connected to the next one, and he said that the. connection for what we just watched to the previous one was pumpkin.
And that was a lie. It was a lie because it's nuts. The connection was nuts. Because we were talking all about nuts. Nut cabinets, nut places. You remember that? Well, that, no, but y- If you don't remember that, go back and watch it. But to be clear, though- Go back and watch the whole. marathon … that was the interstitial. Th- the thing is, is that you said that pumpkin seeds were nuts. No, you did. No, you said you consider- Go back and watch the whole marathon. You consider pumpkin seeds as nuts. You said that. No, I didn't. I would never say that.
And so- I would never say that … you were reaching. I didn't say it. You- I didn't say it. Oh my God. I know, I can tell that you're just gonna move on because you think that I said it, but I just can't let this- Ho- hold on. If we just rewind a little bit, you said, "And pumpkins," you said, n-. not pumpkin seeds, you said seeds. You said sunflower seeds. There you go. Yeah. See? Sunflower seeds is nuts. Different thing. Yeah, yeah. But, but what I'm saying is that the connection is not pumpkin, the connection. is nuts, but it's not because we talked about nuts, it's because when you heard.
about pumpkin spice and the other thing, you were thinking about pumpkin seeds, which makes you think about sunflower seeds, which you think are nuts. And so that's the connection, is that it was n- it was nuts all along. It w- that's what I'm trying to say. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Nuts are my thing. You were taking issue with me- It's kinda my thing … saying it was. pumpkin seeds and not sunflower seeds. Yeah. I was just saying, you called- Right … seeds nuts. Right. Seeds go back to pumpkins. A particular seed. The connection all along was nuts, and this is, so you need to listen more.
carefully to the things that we say. That's a lesson. And so do we. Can I say something- We had those, we had those almonds in that episode you. just watched, too, that you, Link, you- I consider, I consider almonds nuts. But they're not. Almonds aren't nuts. They're seeds. Wait, hold on, hold on. Hold on. Is a s- What? Is a, is a nut a seed? Isn't a nut a seed? Like- If you plant a nut- Those Brazil nuts- Hold on. What? Hold on. Those Brazil nuts that are dropping off of the tree, they're not just-. You, you know why they're dropping? So they can land in the ground and be- And s-.
be new trees. They're nuts. They're seeds. Nuts are seeds. Oh, wait. Hold on now. This is big. What? If t- if true, this is big. That's wh- that's wh- why you say my seed did this thing. But don't- You know what I'm saying? It's just like- Your children? Yeah, yeah, my se- Yeah. I shared my seed. You. spilled your seed. I spilled my seed. It's the same thing, is nut. Are balls seeds?
Y- no. Yes. No, no, no. Think about it. Balls make nuts. No, no. Nuts make seed. A nut by any other, other name is still a nut. Balls make seed. Nuts make seed. Uh, what? And I wanna say I did bet my left nut in that episode. That's what I'm trying to get at. And- … this is something that we've waited to share, but I did, I. have … Annually I go to a horse camp. Wait. And I've held, I've held to this promise, and I wanna say that last.
year I went to the horse camp, and there was not a horse named Pepper. And I had my left nut donated to science. Uh, it was part of … When, when I got the heart procedure, I asked them to do that as well. It, it was agricultural science. They made it into like a- And they said, "Really? We could do, we. could do it." They, they made his left nut into like a fertilizer. Yeah. It w- it's not like they discovered anything from it. Right. Yeah. You know? It was more like you donated your nut to manufacturing.
Yeah, yeah. I think shampoo was made from it. So there's chances are that you … There's chances are you, you-. I said … No, it- I think it was Pert Plus, to be- They actually called me. It was not Pert Plus. What should I do with Rhett's left nut? We don't know what shampoo it was. I said, I said, "Make it into fertilizer." We think it was off-brand. It's fertilizer. That's what I'm telling you. No, I think it's off-brand. I, I told them. I told them what to do with it. And last, but certainly not least- Nuts are seeds? What? Uh, could there be anything more comforting than a meal filled with. the best meals- Filled … we've ever.
made? Filled with the best meals. What? We've ever mealed. What he's talking about is, um, when the Mythical Kitcheneers created the. best dishes ever made on this show. Matter of fact, that's what we called it, the best dishes ever made. on the show from March 16th, 2022. What's the best savory food creation in Good Mythical Morning history? Let's talk about that.
Good Mythical Morning. We are about to reindulge in some of the best dishes ever made on this show. For years, y'all been asking for us to recreate the most famous dishes. ever made on GMM and pit 'em against each other, and now we're doing it. And you know why? 'Cause it's our 10-year anniversary, baby. The celebration continues. And also it's March, which means we're in the mood for big multi-day. tournaments, especially if they feature team snacks over team sports. So, uh, we're kicking it off today with the best savory dishes of GMM.
history, and then tomorrow we're gonna be doing the best sweet dishes. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And then on Friday, it's the worst overall dishes. Not looking forward to Friday. But in mere mythical seconds, mastication will commence upon. savory dishes most gourmets until we can name the best we've ever met. Which delectable dish will titillate our tingling taste buds and take. the top prize to be forever known as the favorite of these two guys?
It's time for Meals of Mythicality, Best Savory Food. So in order to determine our match-ups, over 20,000 of you and the Mythical crew voted. to create the killer match-ups of incredible dishes that we are gonna be tasting today. And manning the tournament board is our very own tournament board supervisor, Moochelle. Hello, Moochelle. Look at you making your way into a different format.
Looks very happy. You naughty cow. Oh. All right. Do you know how to work that thing? Don't be so bashful. So without further ado, the top eight dishes are Animal Style In-N-Out Mac N' Cheese. Uncrustables Chicken Sandwich. Grilled Cheese Ramen. Wendy's Baconator Lasagna. KFC Chipotle Burrito Drumstick. Doritos Big Mac. Orange Chicken Parm.
And Popeyes Breakfast Burrito. I almost said Orange Chicken Parmesan. Well- But then I said parm. Yeah, well I understood. In the end, only one dish will be given the honorable title of our Lord and Savior. And will receive the Golden Halo. So let's eat. Okay, we're starting out with our first seed, Animal Style In-N-Out mac and. cheese- Yes … up against our eighth seed, Uncrustables chicken sandwich. So this mac and cheese again. Mm-hmm. This is macaroni made out of dehydrated In-N-Out french fries.
Then you got the secret animal, uh, style spread and American cheese on top, and. then some caramelized onions as well. Don't forget the french fry bread crumbs. French fry bread comes, right, crumbs, shrum, crumbs. Bread crumbs. That's right. Bread crumbs. Be careful. So I mean, the miraculous thing here is that you made pasta out of french fries. Yep, a labor of- Actually from In-N-Out. Oh, yeah. And I remember, I mean, this is from 2019. Will it mac and cheese? And I just remember feeling so strongly about this in the moment.
Let's see if it- Dink it … sink it returns to that glory. It does. It's just so decadent. Like, it feels like it's about to be too much. You about to choke and die? Yeah. It's about to be too much, but then it's like, "No, I'm just right." Yeah. And you know what? I'm, I'm gonna take note of when I wanna go in for another bite, but I'm not gonna do it. I want to. Because that is the data I need to determine which one I'm going for first. Over here, the Uncrustables chicken sandwich.
Grab your half of this. You got an Uncrustable on top, you got an Uncrustable on the bottom. Not a sponsor. And then right here in the middle, you've got fried chicken cutlet dipped in peanut butter-. Mm … dipped in jelly- Mm … with a peanut butter covered pickle hiding underneath. This is not too long ago. My, my birthday, October 11th, 2021. Smuckers Uncluckables is what we called it. It's still good. But let's be real. Oh, man. It's amazing, yet strange.
The peanut butter and the jelly, they do something to the fried chicken. that is a little bit unexpected. I like it, but it's not, like, the best thing I've ever tasted, which this might be. A little bit of school lunch and a lot of chicken sandwich. does not- Yeah … beat it out. So the In-N-Out animal style mac and cheese is moving on. Uh-huh. And I'm gonna, we're gonna bring this back, so we'll get more in a little bit. Yes. Moochelle, move it on, girl. Oh. Hey.
Oh. I- What kind of magic did you just do with your hoof? Did it… I mean, did you really do that, or was that just, like, a timing thing? Yeah, yeah. Okay, okay. Taking all the credit. Good job. Just like Vanna. These are tightly seeded. Ooh. Number four, we've got grilled cheese ramen. A beautiful, uh, situation. Yeah. Up against the number five seed, Wendy's baconator lasagna. Boy, these both made an impression. This is from 2019, Will It Ramen. You got the cheddar broth, tomato soup noodles, deep-fried soft-boiled egg,
crushed and bread comes in the, crumbs. And then, I keep saying that. Keep- I wanna say that word today. Breadcrumbs. And then pork grilled cheese sandwich arranged on top. I mean, look at that. That's just a pork grilled cheese sandwich. Let's dig in. Ah. I wanna show off these noods, man. Look at how amazing and cheesy that looks. Man. Let me get some, some of this- That broth … cheese broth. And then just look at that breadcrumb egg. And Nicole, remind me, what, what's in the middle of this?
That's a pork slice in the middle of my grilled cheese? Yeah, so it's char siu pork- Mm-hmm … which is traditionally in ramen-. Yeah … with some American cheese, and just grilled like an OG American cheese. Man, it's so good. So much American cheese. Yep, I'm wanting to go back immediately. That broth. That's saying a lot. It's good. But instead of going back to that, we are gonna go back to January 11th. of 2021 for- Mm … Will It Lasagna. Season premiere of season 19.
I remember like it was a year ago. Do you? No. Oh, you're going off of that one, huh? I'll go off of the same one. I'm going off of it. Um, pasta dough with American cheese in the pasta dough. Mm-hmm. Uh, sauce with hamburger meat and bacon, of course, bun, breadcrumbs, and topped with more cheese. So much cheese in this round. I, can you just, can you just like both of them? Do, do you have to choose? I got two children. I mean, I like one of them a little bit more than the other, but- … I.
mean, really, I love them equally. I love the taste of both of these, but there's something about the dif-. the way that… I, I would've thought you would've said this already. The way lasagna comes together in one bite, that is everything. concentrated into one thing. That's true. Whereas this is an egg, noodles, broth, grilled cheese. It's a whole meal in and of itself, but I don't know if it really. represents the perfect bite. No, but that's not the only criteria, my man. This is so cheese dominant that I'm not actually ex- I didn't,
honestly, I didn't experience any bacon, and it's called a baconator. I think you would expect for us to be talking about bacon just as much as cheese, right? It, I don't think it happened. This over here- Hmm. there's a little bit of variety. Okay. There, there's a, there's an unfolding experience, and I didn't even get the egg. That, like, scotch egg type situation. Well, 'cause you're afraid of a yolk. No. It's okay. No. I wanna go back in and get some of that.
All right. Well, you know what? You'll have the opportunity to do that because I agree with you. Ha. As great as this is- … the bacon- What, what, what? Hold- No, do you need a, another opinion? Now, the Mythical crew- You can't do this. You- … including Stevie- … can't do this. Well, you knew it was gonna be Link that was gonna screw your bracket up. They have a pool. They have a pool, and, uh, we have a trophy for the winner. I think we're gonna try to, we're gonna unveil that in Good Mythical. More when the tournament's over. But Stevie, it seems like y- you- I just, I feel like- … you picked. the lasagna … you're judging. I mean, you know, maybe there was less, maybe there was less bacon.
in this particular iteration. Because I remember when you had it the first time, you really were leaning into the bacon. You really loved it, and- I mean, I'll take another bite … I agree about the. bitability and the portability- I'll take another bite … on Rhett's side. I was ready to, hey, I was ready to call Moochelle in to do a tiebreaker, but- Nicole, did you do a bracket? No. I was busy cooking all the stuff. Exactly. I don't have time. Which one is your choice? It's the. ramen. Uh, okay. Then that's what we're going with. Sorry, Stevie. It, it, it's, it's- I mean, it's, it is incredible. We'll talk about this later, Nicole.
It is incredible. All right, Moochelle, did you do a bracket? Okay, good. See? You're impartial. Moo- move the ramen along, please. It's magic. It's magic. Never gets old. And Stevie, when you see that happen, you forget all of your worries. I don't think so. I accept it. All right, we got our third seed, KFC Chipotle burrito drumstick- Yes … going. against our sixth seed, the Doritos Big Mac. Now, the KFC, this is from the KFC and Chipotle mashup menu taste test. Uh huh. This is a bucket of KFC fried chicken, drumsticks of course, coated in.
shredded Chipotle barbacoa, black beans, queso, guacamole, wrapped. in a tortilla and then deep-fried. Don't eat the string. Oh, God. Dink it. Dunk it. Doink it. And swink it. Oh my gosh. Oh man. Oh my freaking gosh. I feel like we're gonna get struck by lightning. You know what I'm saying? I'm getting guacamole. I just feel like the karma in the universe is like, "You can't.
have this good of a time." Nope. Someone has to die. Nope. I think- It's gonna be you. No, what's gonna happen is Friday's gonna happen. Uh, I wanna take another bite of- Barbacoa. Oh, see? There you go. You can't resist it. Um, you, you think that, I think we talked about this last time. Oh my gosh. But the guacamole. You're like, "Guacamole has been deep-fried?" I, it works. Oh my gosh, it's so good. It doesn't have the cold sort of, or even room temperature quality that. guacamole usually has, but- Oh my gosh. it somehow it works. Look at this amazing creation from July 27th, 2020, episode 1780.
Thanks for the details. Good Mythical Summer premiere. We have got Doritofied Big Mac. I'm making a mess. Tapatio Dorito crusted burger buns, OG Dorito infused special sauce, spicy. nacho cheese, Cool Ranch infused burger patties, fried onions battered with. Doritos crumbs, flamin' hot limon- Hmm. Doritos, pickles. Did, did I get my mouth around this last time?
Mm-mm. You kind of compressed it. Okay. Compress it? Mm-mm. Mm. Mm. A lot of corniness. It's really, really, really good. The meat is something, I'm kinda hanging onto the meat here in terms of, like, something that gets me out of Dorito land. I like the spicy kick. I'm really into this. Something about the Doritos, if I'm finding a thing to be critical of, the Doritos create a crunch that makes me, is reminiscent of a stale bun.
Does that make sense? So, like, from a s- texture standpoint- Yeah … I'm thinking about the bun kinda giving, but. then it's got this hard thing on the outside that just, like, does something to my mind. I'm just kinda trying to find, I'm stretching to find something to not like about it. I think the Doritos are soaking up moisture. I feel sad that- It's great … this has to go, but this right here, this. right here- It's so special … oh, my goodness, it- Oh, look how much. grease just came out of that thing. This, this is amazing. Yeah, see the- It held it up.
This is, all the grease is soaked up, so you don't have the grease fun either. Okay. So the, uh, the fried chicken drumsticks, Chipotle KFC drumsticks, they're moving on. Moochelle, do your magic touch. Wh- what are you, you, you… F- focus. Th- this is not time for your 'Gram. This isn't, yeah, social media time. There you go. Oh, nice. Do you have an Instagram? I'm. just thinking about it. Last up in our preliminary rounds, oh, you remember the Orange Chicken Parm. Oh, yeah. It's seed number two versus the number seven seed, Popeyes Breakfast Burrito.
Now, this Orange Chicken Parm wasn't too long ago, November 2021. And if you remember, it was also voted the number one food. creation of 2021 for the show. I just remember being blown away by this thing. Oh, yeah. I'm glad that we're getting to experience it again. Good gracious. I had somebody just come up to me on the street and talk about this. Really? Yeah.
Oh-ho. Oh-ho. Oh, man. I mean- Uh uh huh. Not at all. You must've gotten a hot spot. It's everything that you love about orange chicken and that tanginess. with a bunch of cheese on it. I mean, it's, it's so simple and why I like it. Mm-hmm. You know? It's, it's not, it's not trying too hard. There's a green onion. It doesn't have too many ingredients. It's just balanced. It's like a dish that was supposed to happen, that the universe wanted to birth, and it just happened to happen on our show. It's wonderful. Oh, no, it just didn't happen on our show.
It happened on purpose, right, Nicole? It was destiny. That's right. Yeah. That's right. All right. Uh, Popeyes breakfast burrito is the underdog here. You poach the eggs in gravy. Mm-hmm. You got Cajun rice, mashed tater hash brown, pickle and spicy mayo. salsa, and chicken tender chorizo. Refresh my memory on how and what that is. Yeah, so I just chopped up a bunch of chicken tenders. I added some chorizo spices, some vinegar, some chilis, and I cooked it down and. mashed it into a beautiful chorizo.
All right. And this was October 12th, 2020. It is beautiful. We called it the Louisiana Slamma. Let's do it. It's very rich. Hmm. It's very good. I'm having a difficult time- Mm-hmm … differentiating the flavors almost. Do you know what I'm saying? It, it's st- well, it's still very Popeyes. This is great, but it ain't that. Yeah, I mean- And you knew that. Yeah. It, the orange chicken parm- Gotta move on … a clear winner. Moochelle, push it. Ah, nice. Yeah, she tapped it.
Welcome to the semifinals. The number one seed Animal Style In-N-Out Mac and Cheese up against the. number four seed Grilled Cheese Ramen. Okay, it's still a cheese battle in this bracket, dude. Well, che- cheese showed up a lot. Savory, savory. And I'ma try to get more of the- Actual mac? … and the sauce. It really is amazing how the mac tastes like fries but behaves like mac. I mean, I will say that having so much good stuff in a row- Yeah … so th-.
there's a little note of, "Is this too much? Could you keep eating this?". Too much of a good thing a couple of bites in. It kinda hit me. Now, ramen, I want to apologize for what you might have heard. Stevie say in the previous round. Yeah, you r- Don't take it personally … you ruined it for her. It's not that she doesn't love you, it's just that she loves her bracket more. Wow. I mean- Because the cheese is in the broth, it creates the flavor of cheese.
without the overwhelming- Look at that. presence of cheese. Do you know wh- does that, does that make sense? Like- Yeah. It's so s- such a strong cheese flavor. You already said your piece about how much you like this. I- I love it even more the second time. I've come around completely 'cause I never… Good Lord. I never thought, when I tasted this, I thought we had hit, like, a peak on the show. But now I'm kinda understanding the subtlety of this, coming back to. it after I've tried eight things.
I would make a meal out of this. This is a great side. The reason that I didn't like it before is becoming the reason that I do like it. Yeah. Yeah. What a twist and turn we find ourselves in. We are choosing the grilled cheese ramen. Mm-hmm. I'm sorry, loaded In-N-Out mac and cheese, you gots to go. Stevie, you can have this. I think we're all having a great time. Moochelle doesn't agree either. Too late. Ramen moves on. Yes. To the finals. Ramen, who knew? Me.
Number three seed, KFC Chipotle burrito drumstick. Number two seed, orange chicken parm. Let's go back. I'm going to the back end. Now, this may- I'm going- … squeeze all my barbacoa right out. I'm going into the same spot. Oh, got all the way to the chicken that time. You know what it's reminiscent of? What? Avocado egg rolls. At Cheesecake Factory. From Cheesecake Factory, which are a fried thing that has avocado. in it that you wouldn't think. It's like, that's the point of reference for me, and it really- Yeah … really works.
Yeah. The friedness of the chicken is kinda like the friedness of the, the egg roll. Good gosh, it's good. I love it. Okay, and then back here again. I'm gonna try to get another… And the second bite, when you get into more of. the chicken, I mean, you're just left with a KFC drumstick, and that, th- there's. nothing to complain about there, you know? Hopefully this isn't as hot the second time. Is it hot? I'm gonna put some of that barbacoa. I think you got a hot spot. My mouth is very confused.
This is more orangey this time. This is crazy, 'cause it's like deep-fried piece of chicken, and it's kinda like. getting into that state fair place. But there's something like, this could be a dish- At a sit-down restaurant. at a sit-down restaurant. I think, but you, you pointed out something that still makes it difficult. for me, 'cause I love to go to the fair and see s- some new ingenuity. they're charging way too much money for. But there's a string. I d- Isn't that a demerit? I, yes, it is. I don't like the string. This is gimmicky. This makes total sense.
It's like, why hasn't this been done? I'm on chicken parm, so I mean, if you are, we can move along. If you're not, we can get Moochelle to do a tiebreaker. I mean, she wants to. Look at her. She's very anxious to. I'm not gonna be hurt either way. Uh, I don't like relinquishing control. Okay, good. Uh, but I, I gotta stand up for the KFC Chipotle burrito drumstick. Okay. So, all right, Moochelle, come in. Now, again, Moochelle- Uh, is a vegetarian, uh, and actually doesn't. have a functioning mouth, so she just will point at the thing that she prefers.
This one's got a farm animal in it. Of course, I guess that same farm animal's over here. Yeah, there's chi- there's chicken in both of them. The bone of the farm animal is in that one. This one does have actual cow in it, though, just in barbecue. But I mean, you know, use your own judgment. The chicken parm moves on. I don't know how you feel about someone breaking a tie without ever tasting it. Uh, but- I mean, somebody had to do it … somebody had to do it. Um, Moochelle, again, you didn't fill out a bracket.
Okay, good. All right, move on. The chicken parm. Moves on. That's the most sad that I've been, and I didn't think n-. anything would make me sad today. I'm sorry. All right. This one's for all the savory marbles. We've got the number four seed, grilled cheese ramen, competing with the. number two seed, orange chicken parm. Oh, gosh. Remember this? I do. We've been eating it- I've been, yeah … throughout the whole-. And again, this is the real test … day … coming back to it again.
And I, I wanna go back to both of these. Still good. I wanna go back. I wonder if any, has anybody nailed it so far? Anybody s- in the room? Any perfect brackets? Yes, there is someone, and his name is Kevin. Oh, we have two. And Amy. What? I'm less, um, I'll be less mad about Amy and somehow mad about Kevin. Come on, let Amy have it, Stevie. Yeah, I said, I'm, I'm excited about Amy, but Kevin.
I've been totally converted on this one. The grilled cheese with the, with the pork slab. What do you call it? Chashu pork. Pork slab. Pork belly. In the middle is just, it's just so nice. And you can make it spicy. Of course. Yeah, I mean, this one's not spicy. But you could. I mean, if you wanted to, you could. You could. I mean, how would you make it spicy? With some spice. And still grilled cheesy. Uh, what Rhett said. Yeah. Yeah, you just put some spice in there. Could you get, could you do a cooking lesson with Link on how to make things spicy? That would be so fun.
It's like, "Man, Link. Christy, today, you know what I learned? I learned how they. make things spicy." You add spicy stuff. They do it with spice. You add spicy stuff to something and it makes it spicy. Now, I've been converted on this, but I was already a member of this religion, okay? I was already a member of the chicken parm cult, so th- th-. it's just not over by any means. It's fried. It's draped in cheese. This is so difficult for me. It's got that orange chicken goodness. First of all, let me just say, I feel so strongly about these two being in the final. Having tasted all eight- Yeah … I could keep coming back to one of these.
It's not just a side. I want- But I can't decide. I'ma have to go with which one's more healthy. Well, hold on. Hold on, I… So do you wanna do a three, two, one and put your hand. over the one that you think's better? Yeah. Because, so we won't influence each other. I've tasted both of them. I feel- Am I allowed to give the three, two, one, or am I compromised? You can do the, you can do the three, two, one, as long as you. don't do it in a suggestive way. If it's not like grilled cheese ramen, grilled cheese ramen,
grilled cheese ramen Yeah. Right, right, right, right, right. Three, two, one. Oh, whoa. Oh, oh, we got… Oh, shoot, man. You went, we flipped the script. Ah. Why, why, why did you go that way? Listen, uh I'm surprised … I, uh, I try to taste both of them, but the. beauty of this one keeps overwhelming me. Like, I love this one, but, like, I've grown to love this one, and. it kinda, it went, it surpassed. I mean, are we, are we gonna have to bring a cow that can't taste.
in- … to make this decision? It just seems poetic. I'm s- I was teetering so much. It was almost like, it was like, um, just a muscle f- muscle flick. Like, "Oh, my muscle flicked this way," and it could have flicked that way. And so I'm wondering if I should change my answer. Are you okay? You wanna do another three, two, one? Because- Three And just go with your soul this time? I just love the fact that- Two … this is a complete experience. Okay. Do it again. Three, two, one.
Oh. Look. Hey. Look, Moochelle's over here. Moo. I, I can live with it. I think they're absolutely, completely tied. But only one can move forward, and I'll, I'll, I'll let a mute cow make the decision. So there it is. Our lord and saver. Put it right under here. Oh, look, we… This is as close as we can get to a halo.
Ah. Orange chicken parm is the best savory dish in the history of Good Mythical Morning. Moo. Let's see it. Move it on. Move it. Oh, that's beau- it's beautiful. It's beautiful. I, listen, I don't f- I don't feel bad at all about that. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Well, I'll tell you that zero Mythical crew members won today. Wow, you guys had ramen going all the way to the end. Wow. That's crazy. That's cool. It's anybody's game going into tomorrow. And come back, 'cause we're going with the sweetest creations in Good Mythical history.
