Coke vs. Pepsi (Taste Test)

Are Coke products better than Pepsi products? Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. Everyone has their opinion on the specific debate of Coke. versus Pepsi, but what about all the other drinks that. Coca-Cola and PepsiCo make? Yeah, it's cool to have a favorite cousin, but how do. you feel about the rest of the family? And is one side of the family just straight up better. than the other? It's an airtight metaphor.

So let's see how Coke products and Pepsi. products really stack up. It's time for sweet drinks. Better enemies, Coke versus Pepsi products. Okay, boys, we're starting off with the iconic particular. face off Coke versus Pepsi. Your job is to tell us which tastes better and. to I, yeah, I said it. And to identify the Coke product in each round. Whoever gets the most right wins this. special titular prize.

Yeah. Yeah. I'm a titular man. I think the boys from the Carolinas, I think. they can just look at 'em and tell the difference. Yep. That's Pepsi. I was gonna say, that's Pepsi. Oh, well, let's drink it. Let's drink a. All right. That's Pepsi. You're right or right. This is so much harder than you think it is. Is this Pepsi?

Okay. Oh God. Oh God. What? Oh God. You gonna retaste? Yeah. Come on, man. It is only gonna get harder. This is easy, dude. This is the easiest. This is the easiest round. Come on dude. Come on. Okay. Which one do you like better? B. Before making your gifts. I'm not telling him which one I like better because. I think. But then how we, how do we know that you're being pure?

Uh, well, I'm voting for the Coke, right? And he. I think he knows that I like, I think that the Coke. tastes better, so I can't. The Coke tastes better. Okay. Put your hand--. Let's do it this way. Put over the coke. 3, 2, 1. Oh, I feel like I'm going crazy. This is Coke, dude. I feel like, I think you're probably right, but I. feel like I'm going crazy. Okay, well we know that you're being pure because the. coke is in glass A so. I told you man! You said you like Coke better, but then you picked the Pepsi. that you like better.

No. No, no. Mm. Hold on. I didn't say that. See, hold on. But you were so con, the reason. I didn't want to keep tasting this. You were, hold on. You were so confident. And then I was like, hold on. That can't be right. And then the whole time I was like, but he's so confident. And so I just, that's why I kept, you made me. taste him like 12 times. Well, explain. Explain. And now when you're making me taste him 12 times. Explain. So you're saying, Link, you, because you just said. that you have said before that you like Coke better. Mm-hmm. And so that would give it away. Did I say I thought that looked like Pepsi? Yeah, I was consistent the whole time.

You were consistent the whole time. You're gaslighting me. Well, I mean that's, there's a pattern here. Remember? Right. Um, so Link, please. I like Coke better. And that's Coke. You said you didn't wanna say which one was Coke. because Rhett knew that you like Coke better. Then when I said, which is Coke, you picked Pepsi, which. would lead people to believe. That you indeed chose the one that you thought tasted. better, which you thought was Coke, and then you. voted that that was Coke. Right.

But the whole time it was Pepsi, right? Yeah, but it's what I said. I said that I didn't think about what I was tasting. I was thinking about what, I wasn't thinking about. which one I liked better. I was thinking about which one I thought was Coke. Yeah, I, I follow. Okay. Now that we've got that cleared up, we're moving. on to clear sodas. We've got Sprite by Coca-Cola and Starry, formally Sierra Mist by Pepsi. But no clear Pepsi.

Correct. Why did, why did they change it from Sierra Mist to Starry? The Generation Z was scared of the Sierras. What, because they're so high? Yeah, they're afraid of high. It's misty up there. You can't see. They're afraid of mist and Sierras. But stars are even higher than Sierra's. You wanna know the real reason. Sierra is a really un, unpopular name. Oh. Sporked has a bunch of, uh, has some content about the. Starry Sierra Miss situation.

I'm just getting Sierra. That tastes like 7-up. But neither of these is 7 up. I know. One of them is Sprite. I feel like I could taste Sprite. Thought I could too. Okay. I almost like 'em equally. Neither one of 'em is good. But they are different. I like this one a little bit better. Okay. I like B a little bit better. I think this one's more lime and this one's more lemon.

I like this one a little better. Hand over the Coke product, which is Sprite. 3, 2, 1. Okay. Gotta be, gotta be Sprite, right? You are both correct. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But Starry ain't bad. It ain't bad at all. Good logo. But what, what I knew you were gonna say, that logo was good. I disagree. Why is the stroke so thick? Because the Gen Z likes a thick stroke.

The Gen Z likes a thick stroke. Put it down. See all that black boy that is thick? That can be seen from a distance though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They like it. They like it like that. All right. It's my favorite now. Oh. And it's made by Coke now. No, it's not. That's not how it works. Up next we have root beer. Yes. Barqs by Coca-Cola and Mug by Pepsi. Barqs is a good can, I can't wait to see that.

I think the Mugs can is cool too. Barqs is a silver can. Hey, Ooh. I used to love getting a Barqs. And I think I know the difference. I'm not gonna say it out loud though. I'm gonna say in my head, just myself. A lot of, a lot of cream flavor in that one. Very cream. Mm-hmm. I said it myself. Very creamy.

Less creamy. Is it not? I think one of them has a little bit more bite. I like this one better. One of them has more root. This one has more cream. This one has more root. This has root at the end, it has a root at the aftertaste. Completely agree. This has a little bit of a bite. Whatever they make bite with. What is bite? What do you mean? Bite? Bite. It has a little bit of a bite. A little bit of a bite now which Barqs is, uh, Coke.

Yeah. I typically associate more bite with Coke products. Sprite. A little more bite. Coke. Definitely more bite than Pepsi. I agree with you. I agree with you on that, Link. So if you're thinking that's bite, then I bet you're gonna. vote for that as a Coke. But I have no point of reference here. No, sorry, no hand farts. Sorry. Sorry. No hand farts. Three. I don't like either one of these. Two, one.

So I'm just gonna go out on a limb and try to take a lead. I think it's Mark. I think it's Barqs. The Barqs by Coke is in glass B. Oh, B for Barqs, I should've known it. The bite didn't work. So it's the root, not the bite. I never drank mug growing up. I drank Barqs. Oh, but we don't get the, can we just got the bottle? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, so, uh, you know what the can looks like. What do you mean? No, it's shiny. It's, is it shiny?

It's shiny like this. Oh, it's so good. I want one in my hands so bad. It's probably like this. Oh man, I want one so bad, Barqs. But a mug. Mug has a look, has a bulldog on it. Look, look at that. Look at that. Well, it does look like a beer can look and. it's got kegs on it. Look at how shiny that is. And it's got roots on it. It's out of focus. When you pull it that close people, it. doesn't work like that. It's so shiny. You can't tell on a screen. Well, I like the, I like the mug logo better. I like, I like Barqs.

But you said you like mug better. I don't agree with myself. Hey, put your best foot forward in our new. pattern socks available in a GMM logo pattern. Look at that, and a grilled cheese and ramen. pattern that looks tasty. And Stevie, uh, bring, bring your leg in here to. show him the other one. Okay. Hold on one second. Oh, there she is. This is, uh, the, I like your boots.

I like your boots pattern. Your leg is very shiny today. You've been moisturizing. Thank you. Oh, don't. Did you touch? Don't touch. I didn't touch her. So--. I didn't. I got close, but I didn't. Each one of these type of socks that you. buy comes with two. And, um, this three new pairs of socks, mythical.com. Uh, buy the bundle to save feet pic's not included.

Alright, Stevie, you can go back. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. Wow. She's quick to get back to that mic. And we have these here. Yep. We're, we're moving from soda to, uh, sports drinks. So we have Powerade by Coca-Cola and. Gatorade by Pepsi. Ooh, Powerade and Gatorade. Now this is gonna be tough. Now we think that we like Gatorade more. I don't know. We're just so biased. That's nostalgia. We're biased. That's the nostalgia. Now, which sport is this drink for? Gaming?

That does not taste like Gatorade to me. I didn't think it tasted like Gatorade, but I don't. really know what blue Gatorade tastes like. It's good, though. That one was good. This one's softer. Salty. Softer. Salty. Salty. Yeah. It has a salty quality. It's more electrolytic. Oh, now that I'm back.

This one's a better flavor. I know which one's Gatorade, and I know which ones I like better. This one has less flavor. More electrolytes. More softness. And more it's saltier. And then this has more flavor. So I like this one. I like this one better. I like this one. I like this one better. I like it. I like this one better. But. Okay, so you're gonna put your hand over Powerade, which is. from Coca-Cola in 3, 2, 1. And that's the one I like.

Gatorade is soft and salty and not flavorful. I think this is Gatorade. I like it more. No, no, no, no, no, no. Powerade is in glass B. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I, to me, when I went back to this, it was so. nostalgic, so Gatorade, Gatorade's better y'all. It almost tasted like, you know, the powder. that they would put into the big cooler at PE? Yeah. Or at basketball practice? Why is Powerade so weak? I always, always thought that about it. More, more electrolyte salt.

I'm telling, telling you we thought of salt. It's, it's salty. How many, uh, sodiums does it have in it? 400 milligrams In a hundred in one bottle. Do you know how many of this is 270? I told you it was salty. Yeah, you're right. And last but not least, we have energy drinks, Monster Energy by Coca-Cola and Rockstar my Pepsi. Monster and Rockstar. Let's throw some whiteness back here and. compare the colorations. No blink. Oh, you're so much darker.

You can't technically win, but. I can only tie. I will extend an olive branch. All right. An energy branch. Okay, if you will. Yeah, if you get it right and you name the flavor, 'cause who, who knows what the flavors of these are? Uh, who knows? All right. I'll give it a shot. I like the orangeness of this. Rockstar and Monster. Mm-hmm. I've never seen 'em outside. the can, well, I probably have on this show.

Very tart. Tastes like a sweet tart. Very grippy. It's got quite a bite of the tongue. Hmm. I like it. I don't know what flavor it is. Medicine-y. Yeah, it's more sour. It's tart in a different way.

I like a, a whole lot better. Which one's made by Coke? Monster. It has a lot more of like, whatever that. fruity flavor is. Well, you better know what it is if you want to beat me. Does that mean I like it better? I like it significantly better. Flavor? Uh, who knows. I like it better too. Okay. So I don't know which one it is, but if I'm gonna.

guess what the flavor is, I think it's just. Unspecified original Monster. Unspecified original is his final answer. Which well, hold on. I mean, I don't think that the original has, it says the flavor on it. That's his final answer. It's my final, unspecified, generic, just original monster. Okay. Logged.

Um, handover Monster, which is from Coca-Cola in 3, 2, 1. I, I want to like Monster more than Rockstar. 'cause I don't wanna like something called Rockstar. Yeah, right. I don't like the name Rockstar. I hate it. For a drink because I hate it. It just makes me feel like. A monster. I need something from it, you know, like. Some sort of coolness. Yeah, you don't need that. That it can never give me. But by voting for the same thing as me, you. definitely can't win.

Then I'll change my answer. Okay. Unless you wanna change yours. Well, that's not how I thought. You said if he gets it right and he guesses the. right for--. That's right. Then he won. That is what he said. Oh, okay. Well that's--. I'm keeping it. Okay. Okay. I was just, yeah. That's what I'm saying. Thank you. The monster, which is original flavor. Is in glass. A. That I got it. That wasn't what I technically thought. I was agreeing to. Generic, non-specified original flavor.

Yes. So, so Link. I won. Pulls off the win. Easily. Which means you get this. Uh, vintage Coca-Cola phone that you can use in. Good Mythical More to call anybody that you want. I could call anybody that I want? Yeah. Yeah, anybody. And, uh, it turns out that you are both correct. That you're both Coca-Cola boys. Yeah, we are. Anybody, anybody can be called? Yep.

And boy am I gonna call em and more. Thanks for commenting and sharing this video. You know what time it is. Hey Rhett and Link, we're here at my parents' house.
