Today we are channeling the sophistication of the French by eating. the most highbrow food of all time. French toast sticks. Il est temps de Zut Allors. Zees French Toast Sticks Are How You Say, Bon? Okay, loompa oompas, today.

you're gonna taste, guess, and ultimately choose the best French toast sticks from Burger King, Sonic, Wendy's, Carl's Junior, and as a little bonus, we're throwing in Eggo French Toaster Sticks, and IHOP. And all of these sticks will be served without syrup via the patent pending. French Kiss. So, go ahead and put your blindfolds on. I don't know how much I need a blindfold, because I've never had any of these.

Yeah. But you know what? On brand. All right, you ready for the first stick? Maybe we can queen sweep it. Well, as you can see, we can't, which means, yes, I'm ready. Let's do it. Oh, there it is. We kind of have to, like, go off of. the other items from this restaurant. you, like, extrapolate what they would. make a French toast stick to be.

And there's no syrup on that. They're all gonna be dry. And first, you're gonna need to think of your, your rating, one to ten rating for each. My score is burnt. No, mine wasn't that bad. So on a one to ten, what is burnt? Oh, it's a little spicy, though. That's weird. Mine is not burnt. Mine is not spicy. Something, y'all did something to mine. Y'all gave me a poblano. Didn't you? I knew it for years.

I knew you were gonna sneak in a poblano, and you finally did it. I actually do know what you're saying. It's a little spicy. I know. There is something in there, which is strange, right? Who would do a spicy. stick? And I think that. they all kind of are gonna have this microwave vibe. This one definitely does. I'm gonna give it a. I'll give it a five. It's right down the middle. It's starting to grow on me the more that I,

like, let it begin to digest a little bit. Six. Okay. Ready to guess? Yeah. Some spicy rubbed off of something else. That's my hint, to myself. Three, two, one. Wendy's. You think. IHOP? IHOP's gotta do better than that with a French toast stick. Oh, is it International House of Pancakes? It's not the International House of Prayer? Oh, I'm sorry.

You can't change your answer now. Okay. Je mange. le. French toast stick. Oh. What. What is this thing? It is so small and dejected. Chewy. Flat. This is definitely not a poblano. It's very bready, but not eggy at all. Three,

not great. Yeah. I also give this one a three. Why is it so. sad? I think I know why. I have a guess. Oh. What's the guess? I just think I know why it's sad. But you can't tell me? You think that will influence my guess? Yep. They're smaller, what? Three, two, one. Eggo. Burger King. See, I thought that that tasted like something you get out of a package.

Eggo's got to do better than that. You said that about IHOP, too. I have high expectations of them both. Egg-spectations. Another one. Oh, goodness gracious. That is crunchy. Okay, all right. Wow. How did it get so crunchy? It's crunchy. It's cinnamon. This is decent. It's surprising.

This tastes like real French toast. Like, this tastes like just a slab of French toast. It could be a little bit. softer on the inside. It was kind of crunchy and then chewy inside. Yeah. Nothing else. So, I'm gonna give it a seven. I like it. I like it too. I think I'm gonna. Yeah, I'm gonna give it a nice, generous seven as well. It almost has an eggnog. sort of vibe to it, doesn't it? Oh, is it festive? Is it that that time of year again? This is a seasonal. Seasonal item.

It's a seasonal one. I'm a bit torn. I'm trying to figure out, can they make something this crunchy. at a fast food restaurant? You don't think that they can get the crunch in the fast food? I don't expect it from a fast food place. Oh, that influences how you might guess, then, huh? Yeah, but it was also small. I thought mine was pretty big. You did? Well, that helps me. All right, I'm ready. Three, two, one. Carl's Junior.

Why'd you say Carl's Junior? Cause they make things big. You remember that commercial with the ladies and the big burger? Yeah, that's true. It felt big to me. You know, the twenty twenty-four elections, they're right around the corner. They're gonna be here before you know it. And you need to be prepared. You need to register to vote. You need to figure out what's gonna be on your particular ballot, and you need to find out where the candidates stand on the. issues that you care about, and you can do all of that at votelikeabeast. com. We did it for you.

Now we got a big one. That's a big daddy. It's tall, it's fluffy. Oh, that is nice. Where has this one been? Oh, it's so square. Square? Like, the cross section is a perfect square. There's a little hint of vanilla in there, I feel like. Vanilla. You know, for the longest time, the only way I would eat eggs was in French toast.

Yeah. Because I didn't know they were in there. Not getting a lot of eggs that way, my friend. I really appreciate the girth on this one. See, you said that Carl's Junior goes big, and now you're experiencing big. So, are you gonna go Carl's Junior? I might. I'm not afraid to double up on a guess. You like that one, huh? You gonna give it an eight? Well, here's the thing. You didn't let me finish. The girth, the texture is great, but taste is lacking. That's what I thought. Six.

Six for me too. We are in agreement. We're both looking for the same thing in French toast, it seems. That's good. It's bringing us together, though, we are competing and only one of us can win. Okay. Who we. Two, one. IHOP. The largeness of it. Yeah, because they got plates there. I mean, just put things on plates. They got so much more room. They got tables. It's so big. Have you been in one of those? A frame? You use the height of the restaurant. Yeah, right.

We don't think we've experienced Sonic, or. That's a wide one. This is doing things for me in the taste region. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I really wanna dip this one. Not that it's not good on its own, but it feels like. What do you like about it so much? The flavor profile, which is. French toast.

It tastes like. bread, that has been dipped in eggs, and got some cinnamon on it. And then, you know, put into a pan and, it tastes like French toast. This is the best one. I'm gonna give it an eight. I'm gonna give it a nine. Man, you're really pushing things. You're leaving so little room for anything to be better. It was very wide. It was. big and generous. It was as wide as my mouth. Which is not very wide.

I think I'm all over this one. Well, hold on now. Maybe I will be too. Let me see. Well, I mean, there's a three, two, one. Okay, all right. Three, two, one. Sonic! Wendys. You know about this? No, but I know that Sonic has, like, different sandwiches that. have toast. They have toasted. sandwich that use bread. Toast is bread. Toast is bread. So, I think that they've got their toast game down. That's my favorite kind of toast is the one with the bread.

And the final stick. Okay. Oh, cinnamon. And sugar. Oh, whoa. And flavor. Boy, you are very emotive when it comes to this one. Should you put that much sugar on French toast sticks? I mean. They did. Because you're still gonna dip it in syrup. You don't have to do it with this one. I'm missing one ingredient.

Egg. It tastes more like a churro. It does taste like a churro, so I really liked it. But then when I'm really holding it up against the standard of French toast, I'm bringing it to an eight. I wanted to say nine. Then I brought it to an eight. I like it for a churro, but. I'm gonna give it a four. It's not French toast. I wouldn't have known, if I weren't doing this already. All right, you got a guess? No. Gosh, where is this from?

Who would go so far. afield? I mean, I would guess Taco Bell if I could. I have a guess. Okay. Three, two, one. Sonic. Wendy's. Sonic. Sonic would never. You don't think? You feel like you know a lot about Sonic? Yep, I do. I'm one of the guys in the Sonic commercial. Oh, you're one of those? All right. Okay. How are you feeling about, how you did across the board? I could have gotten zero, and I wouldn't be surprised.

It's a crapshoot, which is a good idea for another episode. Okay, well, by far, your favorite French toast sticks were from Sonic. That's where you heaved the most praise of Sonic. And did you guess Sonic that round? Which means that Sonic was not the last one. Rhett. you got. Yes, I did. Two. correct. Whoa, I'm surprised. And Link, you got three correct. Yes. Which means.

you are our Oui Oui. Winner. And every time you say, am I right? In Good Mythical More, the entire Mythical crew has to say oui oui. So, what was our least favorite? It was Eggo, which Rhett got correct because, yeah, you said, it's puny. And did we like IHOP. The next one after that, you liked the least. The first one that you thought was spicy, that was from Wendy's. So, Link got that correct.

How did you get that? How did you think Wendy's would make it spicy? Cause they have a spicy sandwich. Somebody mixed up? There's, like, ghost pepper floating around in that place. Okay, there you have it. Get yourself some Sonic, y'all. Thanks for subscribing and clicking the bell. You know what time it is. Hi, I'm Ray. And I'm Amanda.
