Birthday Fails

my ninth birthday party is one that I. will never forget as much as I'd like to. I'm Anna and I'm Rachel we're from L. Illinois let's talk about. [Music]. Lando happy birthday who is turning 2. years old today and my oldest son lock. turns eight tomorrow and yesterday was. George Washington's birthday he turned.

well he's dead but we still celebrate. his birthday but yeah that's an honor. it's an honor happy birthday to all. three of you great men or hopefully one. day we'll be great men should we sing no. we'd have to pay rights yeah we've done. that before last time we sang Happy. Birthday on an episode of Good Mythical. Morning we got contacted by the author. himself not really but we thought this. would be a good occasion for us to. reminisce on our own best or worst. birthday memories you're welcome to do.

the same in the comments now being as. we've known each other since first grade. we have shared a lot of birthday parties. M two a year I would go I've I've been. to every one of your parties and you've. been to some of mine the years that uh I. considered you my friend well sometimes. you would have a party that was like off. the premises like with another like. another family somewhere like in Benson. or something every once in a while just. relatives yeah you would be like I you. can't come to my birthday party cuz it.

won't you know it's going to be out of. town and I was disappointed I would just. sit there in my room and celebrate. actually I wouldn't I didn't do that I I. remember one one birthday party my 9th. I'm I'm pretty sure it was my ninth I'm. I'm not 100% certain I'll have to call. my mom and and make sure but whenever we. whenever we would do a party that it. would be a friends party it would be at. McDonald's you know in dun they had this. McDonald's that had the Playland you. mean a friend party a party where you.

invited your friends not not the family. party right yeah my party with friends. where you would be invited and and and. some other classmates you had multiple. multiple parties multi parties I don't I. don't know if McDonald's does this. anymore but they I mean they did it up. right I mean if you you might even see. Ronald himself come out and and you know. the Happy Meal would just be you know it. would be blown out of proportion for for. a birthday party like two little toys in. there oh yeah you know like double toys. maybe double toys and.

there was a there was a ball remember. the one in D they had the balls that you. could swim in the ball pit the ball pit. I mean if that doesn't make a birthday. party I don't know what does the. bacteria Laden ball pit so every every. year that we had I had a friend invited. birthday party I'd go to McDonald's but. one year my mom said okay we're doing. this but it's going to be a surprise. this year you're not going to know where. you're going she decided to mix it up a. little bit it might be Burger King and.

so we get in the car and she blindfolds. me oh come on really yeah she that's. that's cute that's great you know lots. of intrigue huh for a nineish year old. almost turning nine almost becoming a. man you know yeah that's when you become. a man at nine when you want to you know. and especially if you could take a. blindfold you know only men can be. blindfolded is at least what I thought. yeah I'm nine now I I'll take the. blindfold okay so where'd you go I get. on the blindf go fold and we're driving. driving driving I'm in the back seat.

and uh okay we're here I I feel the car. stop at the parking. lot and uh she kind of she opens the. door guides me out like I hear cars. going by we're walking in the parking. lot okay okay I hope my friends are here. and then I hear the door open and then. she takes the blindfold off we're. McDonald's again and my friends were. there I was like what yay McDonald's. again ball pit was it like a different. McDonald no same.

McDonald's but here's the thing was. there anything different about it. nothing you were just nine I was nine. did she forget about the previous years. well I I don't I don't I don't know I. have to call her or she was like this. year I'm going to do I'm going to make. it really exciting I'm going to just. blindfold him but I'm I'm going to. forget to change the local well I love. my mom but it gets worse than that turns. out that riding stuck in the ball pit. riding in the back seat of the car. blindfolded all the way to D you sick.

made me car. sick so I remember sitting down and. everybody's getting their happy meal and. I'm like like turning I'm pale turning. all shades of. green. um and then I I I I ate the stuff you're. like burping in your yeah I ate the. chicken nuggets and started playing with. my stuff and yeah you were there you. don't remember any of this I kept it. within myself I have a bad memory and. and then it was you know it was cake. time and I remember I remember getting. up and running to the bathroom and.

vomiting at my own party to make room. for. cake no I didn't need any cake and then. I was I remember being really afraid to. jump in the ball pit because the last. thing you want to do is vomit in the. ball pit well but it does happen and. that's why I don't go in the ball pit. and pee and all types of stuff not maybe. not when you're nine I think stay out of. the ballit there's an age. limit that's my that's my that's my. memory you share yours well I recall my. birthday parties uh not just because. they were mine but because my parents. chose this as pretty much the only time.

to take pictures it's like when I look. back at my family albums it's like. birthday party birthday party birthday. party what else did we do Mom and Dad. nothing we just celebrated birthday. parties and that's when we broke out the. camera but you know what they kept a. good record of the birthday parties and. we' got some of the photos here and. incidentally link you're in all of them. of course I was I was your friend from. the GetGo you don't have to turn that. around because we're going to show a. close-up of that okay so we can just. look at these and you bring it down here. so we can see it here so this is this is. eight8 years old is that what we. determined no no this is uh yeah 8 years. old so this 85 this is the the first.

real birthday that I had after I moved. to North Carolina uh and so I had a lot. of friends there okay now now those of. you watching uh can you can you find. Rhett and can you find me I can find me. and I'll give you a hint the guy who's. like pointing and Hamming it up in the. background that's Zack West that's the. guy who got facial hair by the time he. turned N9 and a half I think you also. had very hairy legs at like age seven. yeah uh so that was a good that was a. good birthday we and that's not to the.

right to the left of Zach that's not me. that's David Rogers though it could it. could have been me you're over my left. shoulder there next to Brooks yep and. there you are in the foreground at the. head of the table now place of honor the. thing that we did in my house was my mom. would either make or buy that looks like. looks like a homemade actually you know. what there's a nine on that cake that. was ninth birthday oh yeah so it was my. ninth birthday also um you you don't. look sick she uh I'm happy you can see. on my face there I'm excited I'm like.

what's coming next what's coming over my. shoulder more presents I would always. get uh extra crispy fried chicken from. Kentucky Fried Chicken that's what we. did this year and that's what we did the. following year did you ask for extra. crispie or is that just what your mom no. I wanted it I wanted all that extra. crispiness and then this year the next. year my my pool of friends has decreased. significantly but you are still there. and this is just not because I had a. tough time making friends but you know. you've been there an extra year and. you're like you know who your real. friends are and so you don't invite Zack.

West the next year you know look at how. happy I am to see you blow out your. candles like I am really into that and. it looks like that was a smiley child. that's like a bakery cake that year but. then we really up the Annie this is. where we're taking this we I got tired. of Kentucky Fried Chicken and my and I. said I want to go to Pizza in and I want. to get the buffet pizza and that was. this year and as you can see there we. are all of us we posed out front of the. pizza in uh we've got me Ben link my.

brother Cole and Brooks and now you can. see everyone other than Ben is in full. sweatsuit Garb I mean we're talking top. and bottom I am in just a straight up. gray just gray sweats and my brother's. in straight up red sweats it was so easy. to dress kids back then put a sweatsuit. on him I had a Wolfpack sweatshirt on. see I was you don't look happy to be. there were you sick there was no b i I. think my mom blindfolded me to bring me. to your party as well and then then. there's the interior picture here when.

we're in here enjoying again I'm sitting. at the head of the table there's a clown. there getting ready to make some sort of. balloons you still don't look happy you. still look unhappy as a matter of fact. again my my mom blindfolded me to bring. me to every party I'm remembering it now. and look I'm about to blow chunks right. on your your pizza buffet I of course I. don't even look that happy it's like oh. another Pizza my 18th Pizza of pizza but. what's on that Clown's head it's like a. confetti wig or like one of those pom. wigs but look my brother Cole who is in.

the full full red sweats top and bottom. you know we could have exchanged like if. I had red top and gray bottom and he had. the opposite we would have been like oh. that's kind of cool but no we're both in. full color sweats but Cole's eyes are. closed in both pictures all the only. record we have of this particular. birthday party Cole was either sleeping. the entire time I think it's a. self-induced blindfolding so that he. could become a man more quickly that was. before the flash warnings on cameras so. the memories the memories come flooding.

birthday party inside of your heart. breathe the universe into your birthday. heart just imagine that you're sitting. inside of your heart and there's a. little piece of cake that's perfect size. for you when you're inside your own. heart and feed it to yourself but watch. out don't stay away from the walls of. the aord because if you if you get in. there and you do a little bit of this. you could cause a lot of trouble you. could have a heart attack we don't want. that to happen I mean especially as a. you're a kid like this is your 9th. birthday I have no idea what he's.
