Best Video Game Ever?

ever and you voted by commenting we make. it easy here on mythical morning it's. the give and take I was trying to go on. and on about earli you give us votes and. then we take them and compile them and. then we give you back what you voted on. you know we got lots of uh opinions. Space Invaders Minecraft Halo Skyrim. pong I think that's one of the first. video games ever if not the first ever. I've never seen it or played it oh I'm a. big fan is that the one with just the. ball and the two things the ball and the. two things is the perfect way to. describe it portal should have called it.

that the one ball and the two. things uh portal I saw that in the. comments a lot never played that but. apparently it's a very popular game many. people have have played it well as. you'll soon learn never playing that. actually means nothing means nothing uh. the overwhelming uh cry from the. comments is that the best video game. ever is Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. I mean no one was even close I don't. know where the exact numbers were but. more than twice as many as the second.

place which I think was Super Mario. Brothers uh was Legend of Zelda Ocarina. of Time this is like a 1998 release in. The Legend of Zelda uh I got a few. comments about it oh comments the hobo. leader of chaos said it made me a better. person and made me hate fairies forever. whoa so I mean it it's enough said. almost but I'll read two more Pumba. motion said Legend of Zelda Ocarina of. Time is the best video game ever because. it is the perfect mix of mix. of I I could read these I mean I'm to it.

I also read English help me out here it. is the best mix ever of mindless. violence and semi- tricky puzzles that. really give a player a sense of. accomplishment when you get by it and. finally Shake poool I'm going to try to. read this one too Legend of Zelda. Ocarina of Time it laid the groundwork. for all adventure games today and it's. still more fun than some of the games. that come out nowadays what did you. choose I'll tell you what I chose I. believe uh I kind of agree with what the. people said and kind of what that last. comment played it no I'm I'm kind of.

agreeing with him I'm also disagreeing. with him because I think the best video. game ever is the first Legend of Zelda. okay the original Legend of Zelda I. think the best video game ever is Super. Mario Brothers so you know let's just. have a little friendly discussion. here I'll start out with you know one of. my first experiences with the Nintendo I. remember when that thing came home we. plugged it all in it comes with Super. Mario Brothers you it also and Duck Hunt. duck hunt and it also came with that pad.

that you're supposed to run on but I was. like I threw that I like what is that a. tarp mine didn't come with that that a. tarp to protect the Nintendo you got a. special one and it was just exhilarating. playing that 2D scroller this is no. longer Pac-Man eating ghosts on the. Atari you know or Pitfall this is a. whole new world of wow when I go to the. right it just keeps going and going and. going and look there's a castle and. there's a there's a flag the flag and I. I bet you if I'm skilled enough I can. jump over that flag pull I never was no.

and but there was plenty of schoolmates. who said that they had figured out Chad. landram said he figured out how to jump. over it's impossible jump over it it can. be done no it can't it's no it's. impossible tell him in the comments you. can do it with a Game Genie did you have. a Game Genie were you a cheater you had. a Game Genie what a loser that's what. they call me in Middle School hey Game. Genie I agree with you to a certain. extent also because I love Super Mario. Brothers and I remember that first night. that I got it and I remember our parents. let us play it till like 9:30 p.m. and. then we had to go to bed that Christmas.

night and I remember sitting there and I. did not go to sleep until like 3:00 a.m. and I was just thinking about the game. and I remember I specifically remember. you immediately get it that's what's so. I specifically remember thinking that I. have found why I was. created I I remember thinking about that. game and how fun it was and just not. being able to get past the fact that the. greatest discovery in the history of. mankind had just entered my home and I. in the morning I was going to be able to. to go back out there and play it again.

and it was mindblowing now I think it CH. it changed my life because my stepdad at. the time it was one of the first first. things that we did together and bonded. on was playing Mario Brothers he would. play I'd play Mario and he would play. lugie I called him lugie that's not how. you say it my stepdad did not correct me. so I don't know what that says about him. maybe he was just with me you did not. know that it was Luigi I thought it was. lugie which you were friends with me. though and I knew that.

you didn't know that well you didn't. tell me and you know what I'm then we. moved on to play this game called Jackal. which was an overhead game where you. would throw grenades out of a Jeep. there's a tank or something I played. that with my stepdad Jimmy and we were. we bonded so now that's my favorite game. now Nintendo Jackal I you know I have. some arguments about uh the original. Zelda but David Littleford on our. Facebook page made some great. arguments that I'm going to just take he. said props to David Littleford the and. he's really fired up about this I'm he's.

passionate the original Zelda here's why. first game to allow the user to actually. save the game on the cartridge you could. have a game loaded on the C on the. cartridge and it would pick up and keep. your progress from that didn't happen in. any other game it started with Zelda and. let me pause you on that one second he's. telling me this because listen I will. admit my my name is link I was not named. after Zelda I'll meet I'll meet people. and they will say link like Zelda I was. like yeah they named the game after. after me never played the game never.

pressed the buttons at least even once. while the game was on a screen I'm so. offended by that I I I do feel like I. should apologize I feel like you know. it's my name's sake I'm I'm sorry but. I'm just weird in that way I was never. it was I couldn't get it you were. intimidated by you don't you don't you. don't break bricks you don't eat. mushrooms you don't get larger or eat. flowers and spit fire I don't get it I. think you were intimidated by the the. challenge well it was overhead and it.

seemed boring it was not boring it was. phenomenal it was lifechanging in fact. it was the first game according to David. Littleford to have documented cases of. game addiction Legend of Zelda is the. first game that people were documented. to be addicted to and would actually. lose their jobs and I specifically. remember getting involved in this Quest. and just the fact that there were so. many places you could go so many things. you could do and you could keep your. progress and you were and you would the. fact that you could save your progress. ress is the reason that you would become.

addicted to it because you would get to. a point and you were like I got to get. back to that I got I got to I got to say. I'm sick I got to stay home from school. how long does it take to beat Legend of. Zelda I don't know what the total hours. of gameplay are I'm I'm not familiar. with those statistics but I mean it took. me as a like a. eight-year-old at least a year playing. it off and on and I had to keep going to. school and asking Chad Landrum it's. quite an investment I thought Chad. Landrum just was able to figure. everything out and then like a year into. that process of me always getting these. tips from him I realized that he just.

subscribed to Nintendo Power Magazine. mhm which you which he still subscribes. to today probably you know you can beat. Super Mario Brothers in about five. minutes if you're a professional oh I. not easy no that's the record I beat. Super Mario Brothers in less than 20. minutes the last time I played it on the. Wii I'll be honest I've never beaten. Super Mario. Brothers I've never beaten it you not I. I just can't I can't stick around oh.

there's flag flag there's a maze at the. end it level 51 or 52 whatever it is. there's a maze no no no no get the. unlimited men you know when you jump on. the turtle I couldn't do that either you. don't know how to get the unlimited I. was I was a I was an only child and and. I didn't have close enough friends to. show me how to do it I could come over. tonight and show you how to do it well. it's too late now I don't really care. for it but there's the other thing last. night my kids were playing it my wife. can beat it Christy she's really into it. she loves it the kids play it with her.

that's another testimony to being better. than Legend of Zelda is that it it spans. ages it spans decades I mean look at all. the spin-offs of Mario Brothers Mario. has appeared in over 200 video games I. read that somewhere on the internet and. it has to be true yep well Legend of. Zelda was the first open world game ever. thus giving later uh groundwork for. games like Grand Theft Auto and the. Skyrim Series in other words David is. saying that every game that is popular. today meaning that we 2D scrollers are.

not that popular anymore I mean some. people still play them and there are. some good ones but Sonic is pretty good. the games that people are addicted to. today are open World Games in which they. can go around they make decisions they. determine where they're going to go they. there's Not Just One Direction and one. dimension that they're going in a. literal line that you're going in in. Super Mario Brothers but it was an open. world game and so I I'm I'm with David. on this it's like the Innovations of. that being able to save your gameplay. being able to have this open world and. let us not forget as David points out it.

came in a gold case do you remember this. it was a shiny gold case I did look at. that yeah Legend of Zelda when you take. everything into account you take into. account its influence and the experience. and the fact that you can still play it. today and enjoy yourself best video game. ever but I think we can agree at least. amongst amongst R link like me and you. between the two of us the best video. game ever as far as our friendship goes. is. what you know know two syllables.

Contra oh we played a lot of Contra our. friendship was built on Contra and which. I never beat that either even with a. cheat no it only gave me 30 men you're. just bad at video games I was at your. house playing it and we never beat it I. beat it by myself I didn't want you to. be be there when I beat it you didn't. want to show me how get me in the dark. man shout out to the principality of.
