I'm here to say I really like waffles in. fact I had. today all right waffles I'm still. getting over my uh my what's that candy.
stuff we ate yesterday called cotton. candy candy cotton candy candy cotton I. couldn't remember what it was called I. knew it was Fluffy and that I ate way. too much of it if you want to submit an. intro to be in an episode of Good. Mythical Morning Do that people we need. more of those make a video response to. the latest and greatest Good Mythical. Morning episode and make sure you say. the right things hi I'm so and so from. SE and place Good Mythical Morning uh. quick news story that you may have heard. about has served as a segue into into.
what we want to talk about today and. that is a 13-year-old girl in Tennessee. drove 700 miles to meet a 12-year-old. boy that she had met on Xbox f f first. of all H how do you meet somebody on. Xbox I don't even know how this works I. don't know you can Xbox is like the. internet except for video games. apparently gaming consoles apparently. these days link gaming consoles you can. communicate with other people while. you're playing you couldn't do that on. Nintendo that's the last time I checked. they have dating services on Xbox you.
couldn't do it on the Genesis could you. do it on the Genesis I don't think so. but there was a c button on the Sega. Genesis controller right but we're not. old don't don't worry C the SE was for. connection love connection so anyway uh. this girl meets this 700 miles is a long. way to drive she meets this boy if. you're 13 on Xbox they get she gets into. an argument with her parents she and and. she says and then she that night she. opens her bedroom window climbs out gets. into her brother's car and drives at 700. miles and they catch her and then the. cop realizes that the girl that they.
pulled over who's 13 matches an amber. alert and that this is a missing girl. anyway she's back home safe her name. Amber no cuz that would have been just. surreal it would have been uh but anyway. you know first of all anyway I'm proud. of this girl because that's quite an. accomplishment to make it 700 miles as a. 13-year-old but she you know and I'm. glad that she's safe I'm going on record. and saying I'm not only not proud of. this girl as a father of a daughter I am. I am just wigging out right now no give. me a break I'm wigging out if I had on a.
wig it would be outing itself I don't. think that's what it means yeah my wig. would be outing itself I don't even know. what that means either here's what I. thought about when I read this I thought. I can relate you can relate I can relate. because I remember 13-year-old girl I. remember not what it's like to play Xbox. and to communicate with other people. because I never did that I can relate. what it's like to be 12 or 13 and to be. obsessed.
with someone to the point that I would. drive 700 miles okay I can believe this. I know this about you and I think we can. discuss uh how we're different in a few. minutes but just just kind of fill the. people in r on uh Ju Just your mindset. and and this goes much deeper I think. than just 12 or 13 year old or it goes. earlier in time it goes very early it. probably goes deeper into your psych too. but a lot of people you know every. typically the way that it works.
we're speaking in general gener. generally here uh you've got a per you. got a kid and a boy thinks that a girl. is nasty and gross until a certain age. and then he begins to think that she's. amazing and you want to be with her. right well I don't know when that. happens for most people I think girls. also think that boys are gross boys are. gross boys are weird boys are rude and I. don't want to have anything to do with. them and then there's this switch that's.
like oh now that's that's Macho I like. that really I like his boo his Bo is. good. yeah and and so there's a switch that. happens and sometimes in certain kids I. think when the switch is flipped it's. like goes way too far and then it gets. caught somewhere out there in Crazy Land. is that that's where you were well I. what I want to say first of all is that. I remember as early as kindergarten so. when I was 5 years old being obsessed. with girls I mean really not thinking.
they were growth at all just being. obsessed with them just thinking they. were cool to having a crush on them. wanting to have a girlfriend oh yeah a. kindergarten being attracted to them. being physically attracted to them and. that that's that's early that's odd and. and I remember in even as early as first. grade because when I moved to North. Carolina in first grade and that was. when I got to know you and I remember at. that time there were two girls you know. both of these girls Holly wble and Lisa. Johnson now Lisa was.
two years older Holly was two years. older Lisa was one year old one year. older Holly was a family friend you know. we knew The Wombles I was obsessed with. Holly I was obsessed with Holly for a. very very long time like up until like. late teens like a couple months ago no. like late teens and I was obsessed with. Lisa Johnson she was I was tall first of. all I was like six feet tall in third. grade I don't know I was maybe not that. but I was definitely not 6 feet in third. grade but I was a head taller than all. the rest of the kids and was a head.
taller than all the rest of the girls I. was like she was like a we can make some. tall babies together she was like either. a volleyball player or like a robot or. something because she was just she was. pretty she was for a tall girl I thought. I thought about him all the time and I. remember both of them like in tandem no. no it one at a time I want to be her. girlfriend or her girlfriend I don't. want you didn't try to figure out a way. to be both of the girlfriends but it was. too early for actually putting anything. into action it was just Obsession well. it was just thinking about them and at. that age and being nervous around in.
grade school and middle school when a. year or two years in age difference is. is that's insurmountable oh yeah I knew. there was no chance but you just you. just thought they were awesome and I. don't remember you talking about them. all the time I had dreams about them I. mean I would dream about them I would. tell me about these dreams I remember. having dreams now when you're a kid. lucid dreaming comes very naturally I. don't know if you know this but. typically that's when you can fly and. you can manipulate your dreams it gets. more difficult as you grow.
but I specifically remember I would. realize I was dreaming I would be like. I'm going to fly to Holly's house or I'm. going to fly to Lisa Johnson's house fly. I'm going to fly to their house and then. what never made it I I always dropped. into the pine trees or I got I would get. to the door I would get to the door her. mom would answer and I would be like is. Holly home and she'd be like you can't. see her Holly so I was like I I was. shutting myself down in my dreams oh wow. but but all you to do was say can I see. Holly I'm the guy who can fly.
I wasn't thinking that clearly that. would have been impressive it was a. dream sure I'm two years younger I'm. only in kindergarten but did I. mention I can fly now we're very. different because 90% I would say 90% of. my thought process was committed to. thinking about girls now on throughout. my adolescence you just said 90% 90% of. your your thought capacity was was. directed towards women specifically. these two girls no no women and lots of.
different girls but I I ke early early I. keed in on these girls I mean I was. doing lots of things I was making good. grades I was we were hanging out I was. playing sports but every if it give one. minute in any given minute 90% of that. minute was committed to it's at least. multitasking thinking about girls now I. will say I thought that was normal that. yeah I will say that's OD I think that's. CS for for counseling uh you may even. still now need counseling I don't know I. think the one that's unusual but I'm.
yeah I mean I I just didn't think about. girls that often I you know I liked. girls I got to a point later in life. like in high school that I was still. very timid around women but I was very. interested in them and I glad it finally. happened ultimately I ultimately got a. wife who I I was very interested in is. still very interested you got one yeah I. got one I got a wife for you I got a. christe I got the Christy model of wife. she's great yeah I recommend that type. of woman for every everybody I don't.
think that's how it works either no I. didn't purchase her but yeah well well. in defense in defense even back in. kindergarten I did have a first crush. crush I remember Jennifer Pearson I. remember her she lived on a farm she. lived on a farm she she had a speech. impediment that was good I think it was. because she she still sucked her thumb. in like kindergarten or something but. something about the total package of the. way she talked and the way that she like. the speech impediment looked across the. room when she was nodding off when she. in na time it was just all very much.
enamoring to me Jennifer Pearson if. you're watching I just want to say hi. but I but I just don't remember hearing. we never talked about this I I never. talked to her but I did think about her. I didn't dream about it I didn't fly to. her farmhouse in my dreams or anything. like that should have her Dad wouldn't. have let you you what one thing I do. know is that I never told anybody I. never told anybody I thought that it was. the type of thing. that yeah people you know they say oh.
they would assume that boys in. kindergarten thought that girls were. gross and I think this was this was. definitely kindergarten cuz I remember. nap times only happened in kindergarten. this is before you got there it's when I. met Jennifer and but then it kind of got. me to this point where even when I was. interested in girls even when I got a. girlfriend like in Middle School I. didn't want to I didn't tell my family. or like you know you'd go to a family. reunion or something and then Gramps. would be like hey Gramps hey you got how. many girlfriends you got I'm like I felt. compelled that the right answer was.
supposed to be oh you know girls are. gross I'm not supposed to have a. girlfriend I'd i' I'd rather lie and. tell them I didn't have a girlfriend but. see but you weren't I know this is to be. but I was obsess I was not obsessed with. girls either so what I mean what were. you doing what were you devoting your. thought process. 10% healthy level of Interest was in. girls but the other 90% was like GI Jo's. and I had a rock tumbller yeah I. remember the rock so it's like you know. I was thinking about things like that. like oh I got to Tumble my rocks so I.
would come over to your house my rock. smooth I would come over to your house. and it would be like Hey look check this. out and it would be this red thing that. was turning you were like it's it's rock. tumber I was like what does it do and. you're like it makes Rock smooth and I. was like and you were like called me. over there and we like looked at it for. a while I was like yeah I was thinking. about that and come come to find out the. whole time you were even talking to me. about it you were just thinking about. hollyw and Lisa Johnson you were. thinking about rocks turning over and. getting smooth was a boy you know I was. I was health I was healthy young child.
you know I wasn't I was. healthy well in the comments you tell. people people you people tell him what. what you think about that I wonder maybe. we should uh I wonder if Lisa and Holly. watch this they don't but it's this will. there's somebody who knows either one or. both of them who will forward this to. them so hello Holly and Lisa sorry we. never made anything happen I thought. about you a lot and you know we dreamed. about you I think we could go to the you. know the girl who drove 700 miles she. was 13 I think that it would be good for.
us to end another episode very soon let. let's say next week let's talk about our. first girlfriends because those are our. first crushes but let's talk about our. first girlfriends okay let's let's uh. let's dive into that and share that with. you people so that's something that you. can look forward to next week next week. uh in addition to intros for the show we. also need wheel suggestions mythical. wheel. suggestions and they need to be good we. need some good ones we've been getting.
