Ever hear this before? The world is. going to end. >> Our home earth is in danger. What is at. risk of being destroyed is not the. planet itself, of course, but the. conditions that have made it hospitable. for human beings. Moreover, we must face. up to this urgent and unprecedented. threat to the existence of our. civilization. >> If Gore was right, we all would have. been dead 10 years ago. that we're all very much alive. They. also said if we didn't lock down and get. vaxed, we'd be wiped out again. Still. here. They said if we didn't pass. Obamacare, we'd all be dead. Now they. have a new one. Your computer is going. to kill you. I assume you are saying. literally that you believe uh that AI. could kill us all by the end of the. decade. How would that happen? Like what.

would that actually look like? >> Yeah. So the precise scenario sounds a. little bit like science fiction. Uh it. sounds like something that's not real, but I think it is frighteningly real. >> That guy's now a famous whistleblower. from the AI company Anthropic. He says. big AI Frankenstein some crazy product. in their lab and they're about to lose. total control. >> It helps to just think of uh building AI. as sort of inviting an alien mind onto. the planet. >> You're building a human level or or.

superhuman level mind without. understanding what it wants or or thinks. or the way it thinks. And I think that. intrinsically should be quite scary. >> They say by 2030 we'll all be dead. AI. is going to hack into your bank account, take your cash, build bioweapons that. sends a thrill up Fouch's leg, and. launch a nuclear holocaust. It's like. the AI mafia. You have a nice world. there. Be a shame if anything happened. to it. I would rather they make fun of. me than to wake up one day and and.

discover that someone used our our model. clawed to kill a bunch of people. I. don't want that. I would repeat the same. point which is that the it shouldn't be. my responsibility alone or anthropics. responsibility alone or all of the AI. company's responsibility alone or even. one government's responsibility alone. This is bigger than all of us. He just. said he built a product that's going to. kill a lot of people. But he shouldn't. be responsible. That's not how it works. Companies have.

a responsibility to ensure their. products are safe before they release. them to the public. If you sell a. product that gets a bunch of people. killed, you better hire a lot of. lawyers. And just as their product. becomes potentially deadly, according to. them, Anthropic and Open AI are begging. the government to save them. It has. always been very strange that this. technology is being built by by a. private company. People ask me that. question all the time. Why isn't this. being built by government? And the.

strangest thing about it is I agree with. them. I'm uncomfortable. Would you be. willing to give up the technology to the. government? >> To the right combination of governments. >> Now, when the smartest people in the. world are begging the dumbest people in. the world to help, something doesn't add. up. Anthropic was asked to give up their. technology to the government. Our. government, the Pentagon, and Anthropic. refused. So, I guess the Trump. administration isn't the right type of. government to work with. More on that.

later. Now, why would AI companies need. the government's help slowing down. technological progress when they could. easily slow it down themselves? The oil. companies don't drill like madmen, they. pace themselves. And why would you bring in of all people. Bernie Sanders? >> What we have got to do now is light a. match under the backsides of members of. Congress and say, you know what, we. don't have months. We don't have years. We got to move now.

Bernie's been trying to slow down. capitalism his entire career. This is. the invitation of a lifetime. And you. know something's up when Bernie's on the. same page as Barack. Obama left Honolulu. last week to tell Democrats to roll up. their sleeves and join the AI fight. At. a Manhattan fundraiser, Barry told the. party that if he were running for. president, he'd make the 2028 campaign. all about AI. And in the same room, Hakee Barry told him and the Democrats,

quote, "This is something that is moving. very fast in private hands, and if we. don't get on top of it, I think it could. be dangerous." Now, Hakee's taking the. mantle, making himself AIAR. So what we did as Democrats was to begin. last December a commission on artificial. intelligence and innovation economy so. we could evaluate the steps that needed. to be done and then present an. aggressive framework which we're in the. process of doing so that Congress can. act.

>> Hakee can't even photoshop his own hips. and now he's the new Aisar. Trump's old. Aisar David Saxs smells a rat. There's a lot of like overlapping. agendas here where there's some people. have an economic interest and some. people have a power interest and there's. going to be a division of the spoils. In. their view of the world, AI is going to. be very centralized. We're going to have. a duopoly. The duopoly reaps the. economic benefits and they give big. political donations and they'll do the. dirty work of suppressing speech.

>> Big AI companies are asking Democrats to. regulate them because it prevents. competition from catching up. Democrats. will just write whatever regulations the. big AI companies want. And whoever. writes the regulations gets all the. donations. And all the smaller startup. AI companies making cheaper models, they. won't be able to compete. That's a. typical move by big business. They have. all the lawyers, the money, and the. knowhow to handle regulation. Smaller. companies don't. But it gets even.

shadier. You know what else big AI is. asking Democrats to do? Protect them. from lawsuits. They want to be treated. like vaccine companies. They know their. product could be dangerous. They could. have some side effects. And they know. they're going to get sued, so they want. to be indemnified. Now, they also know their product could. crash the economy. So, they want to be. treated like Wall Street, too big to. fail and be bailed out if things go. south. They also want to form a cartel.

And they're asking the Democrats for an. antirust exemption, which basically. every company would love to have. You. can collude, become a monopoly, fix. prices, and the Justice Department can't. bust you up. Now, the timing is very. suspicious because we're on the eve of. the anthropic and open AI guys going. public. Could be the biggest IPO in. history. That means we get to see their. books. Now, we hear they're burning. through massive amounts of cash. The.

government slowing them down would. actually save them a lot of money and. stop their competition from spending. So, they're basically saying, "Let's. quit while we're ahead." Now, out of. nowhere, a whistleblower comes forward. meeting with Bernie, with AOC, and the. CEOs. They're all white kniting. themselves, saying, "No, no, no, no. We're the only ones who can be trusted. handling such dangerous and powerful. technology. This is the guy from Open AI. Listen,

>> you're looking at a trillion dollar IPO. and I'm curious if that's still a. priority for you. >> As we have said, we're not rushing into. an IPO. I actually think that given. everything happening with safety, this. would be right now would be an. ill-advised moment to go public. Um, and. we don't feel pressure on that. We've. said for a long time, we'll do it when. we're ready, which is when the business. is ready. >> All right? So, they don't want to go. public without government protection. These companies, they're all run by. Democrats, trust me. And they're only.

asking to be protected by Democrats. Now, it's become clear that big AI is. forming an alliance with the Democrat. party to freeze out the competition, stop the lawsuits, and basically create. an artificial intelligence United. Nations with Republicans on the outside. looking in. They know which way the wind's blowing. They see the Democrats could flip the. House. They see the countries turned. against data centers. So, they're. demanding a merger with the Democrat. party, a party that never passes up a.

chance to regulate because it's what. they do. And in exchange for massive. campaign contributions, Democrats will. get credit for saving the world. This is. a perfect opportunity for the Democrat. party to bounce back to be at the. cutting edge of industry while also. saving the working class. And we saw. what happened when Democrats aligned. with big tech the last time. What did. they do? They kicked the president of. the United States off Twitter and. Facebook. They censored free speech and.

they pushed Democrat hoaxes and. propaganda all day. And that was just. social media. Imagine. Democrats controlling AI. All of it. It's the same playbook every time. Here's Peter Teal. I would say the. political solution, the default. political solution um people have for um. for all these existential risks is one.

world governance. What do we do about. AI? And we need global compute. governance. We need, you know, a one. world government to um control all the. computers, log every single keystroke to. make sure people don't program, you. know, a dangerous AI. And I've been. wondering whether that's sort of a um. you know, going from, you know, the. frying pan into the fire. >> Remember when vaccine hesitancy was. dangerous? SUVs are dangerous. The great. replacement theory, dangerous.

Trump was so dangerous, they shot him. Now, if something's dangerous, it needs. to be controlled. Sometimes when a guy. is dangerous, women want to get in bed. with him. Same thing with Democrats and. AI. I have to say, just personally, I. feel a little bit weird about the fact. that you have so many frontier AI tech. companies kind of coming to the. government and begging the government to. regulate them. It feels a little bit to. me like a bit of a Trojan horse.

>> Now, AI is supposed to create a huge. economic boom. It's already driven the. stock market to record highs in the last. three years. They say AI is going to. make everybody more productive. I've. certainly become more productive using. it. Outpit supposed to explode. The GDP. goes up, debt goes down, and it frees up. more time for creativity and more. vacation. Now, we're in an AI race with. China. It's a zero- sum game. You don't. bankrupt an industry in its infancy, especially when it could determine who.

wins the next century. Whoever wins AI, and we're leading by a. lot. Whoever wins AI wins. >> Have you ever used it yourself or have. you been. >> use AI? of oil, the information age that we're. in now. And with AI, seems like we're on. the precipice of something beautiful. We. figured out a way not to blow ourselves. up during the Cold War. Yeah, we came a. little close during the Cuban Missile. Crisis. And there's always danger. lurking. And maybe we do have to. regulate AI in 10, 20 years, a little. bit once we have our hands on it, you. know, see what it does. But I have a. feeling that in a couple years I'll.

Democrats just hit their lowest. favorability ever. 70% of the country. hates the job House Democrats are doing, but somehow House Democrats are supposed. to win. I don't get it. a bunch of computer geeks boasting about. a program that they built that might be. smarter than they are. Who? Remember, these guys spent their whole. lives inside behind screens and it. finally paid off. And now they just can't act normal about. it. It has to be dangerous. It has to be. deadly. Sounds a little like Revenge of. the Nerds. Mad scientists created a. monster they can't control. Yeah, it's. called Frankenstein. These guys watch. too many movies and now they want to be. movie stars. This is their moment.

We need to take a threat. from AI as seriously as global nuclear. war. >> How's AI going to cause a nuclear war? When the commanderin-chief greenlights a. nuke strike, there's a whole chain of. command of humans before launch. Verbal. order from the president. Joint Chiefs,

then nuclear football, fingerprint at. the Pentagon, guys physically turning. keys at the same time, punching codes, yanking levers, eyeball scans. AI can't just push a big red button and. boom. But the CEO of Anthropic, who has. a big IPO set, thinks he's Oenheimer. >> Do you believe AI could kill us all by. the end of the decade? So you know the the basis on which we.

started Antropic was we always believed. that this was a very powerful technology. and because it's a very powerful. technology it has a lot of a lot of. benefits but also very serious risks. Right? The more powerful a technology is. the more powerful its benefits the more. powerful its risks. >> All right. So if you're manufacturing a. product that could cause mass extinction. and you're saying there's a chance you. can't control it. Shouldn't we shut down. your lab and throw you in jail? Shouldn't we treat you like we should. have treated Fouchy before the pandemic?

>> I think if Dario believes that we're. going to have the worst outcomes, my. question for him is why are you doing. this? Uh it doesn't make sense to me. that you're running a Frontier AI. company if you think Frontier AI is. going to end humanity. So again, I would. push that back on him and say, "How are. you going to make this safe? And if you. don't think you can, you should probably. either shut down the company or step. aside and let someone else lead it.

>> Mr. Anthropic last year told everybody. that AI would wipe out half of whitellar. jobs. Half. Did that happen? No. AI is. actually creating jobs. The guy's got no. track record. Now he says there's a 10%. chance we're all going to die. And there. was probably a 10% chance that gain of. function research would kill us. And. Fouchi still funded it. And we're. supposed to fund this guy. Buy my stock. before you die.

>> It certainly is like some some crazy 4D. chess to [laughter] you know um you know. say these there's what of a 10% chance. of annihilating. humanity. But by the way um how much. allocation would you like in our IPO? Anthropic supposed to go public in. October with a $2 trillion valuation. It's the biggest IPO in history. It's. like 50 Cent said, get rich or die. trying. But before they launch, they. want to buy a little insurance policy.

from Democrats. >> Can this industry regulate itself. without Congress in your view? >> No. No. That's ridiculous. It's like, can you imagine when we had nuclear. proliferation that you know Oppenheimer. sold his bomb to regular companies? This. is on that level. >> These guys are spinning their product to. be more powerful than the atomic bomb. just so they can pump up the IPO price. and get the government to backs stop. them in case they get sued. You know, keep the profits and dump all the risk.

onto the taxpayers. Between this and the. commie wave, burn dogs have in the year. of his life. If AI surpasses human. intelligence, as many scientists believe. could happen, this technology will. escape human control with potentially. catastrophic consequences. To Bernie, everything's going to kill us. Big oil, big pharma, nuclear power, coal, SUVs,

insurance companies. Every industry is. deadly. Which is why Bernie Sanders. needs to either shut it down or control. it. See what's going on here? The. Democrats haven't been this excited. since the lockdowns. It's like they want. to work from home again and get credit. for saving society. Suddenly, a whistleblower screams danger. and Democrats have to be in charge of. everything. >> These new models are scary. We're. dealing here with real peril, not.

science fiction. And so there should be. an urgency. We should not break for any. kind of recess without dealing with AI. And we can do it very simply by. establishing an agency like the Food and. Drug Administration that reviews. pharmaceuticals for whether they're safe. and effective. We ought to do the same. for AI. >> Are you impressed with a politician who. says they're scared? Who says that? Dick. says Congress won't be able to go home. for Thanksgiving until they all vote for.

big government to take over AI. It's the. same playbook they run before Christmas. Politicians will vote for anything as. long as they can fly home in time for. the holidays. And if you think they're. just going to be satisfied with just an. AI commission, get ready for an AI. agency. Probably an entire department of. artificial intelligence. Bill Gates. wants an international AI organization, like a little AI UN. They even want to. send their minions into the labs.

>> We need inspectors in these frontier. labs. We need these CEOs testifying. immediately before Congress. We need to. be fortifying the nation against. bioteterrorism, one of the most. significant potential threats associated. with this technology. Are they calling for weapons inspectors. to do SNAP inspections of AI labs? Sounds like a jobs program. All the guys. that got fired from USA ID can now throw. in a lab code and poke around data. centers with a pencil and a clipboard.

Follow the money. Open AI just hired. Chuck Schumer's daughter right before. the IPL, right before the midterms. Right as Chuck's calling every senator. in for an immediate briefing on AI. Schumer's daughter used to work for. Amazon. See the revolving door here? But. AI is going to make the big tech. Democrat alliance look like a summer. fling. AI and the Democrat party are getting. into bed and it's getting serious. Firms. are even hiring Democrats like Obama's. former flack, Jay Carney. Barack's.

already community organizing. Quote, "We. can't stuff AI back in a box. But we can. collectively determine how it's. developed and how it's used rather than. sitting back and letting AI and its. fallout happen to us." What do Democrats. know about AI? Nothing. What is AI? know that the Democrat party does. They. know the Democrats do nothing. AI has. the potential to lower the debt, to. solve health care, to find fraud. That's.

a big one. To fact check all their BS. AI is actually a huge threat to Democrat. credibility. Barack knows it. They're asking Democrats in the. government, don't prosecute us because. we need to collude and set prices and. create a monopoly. They also want protections against. lawsuits like a vaccine company. Emily. made a great point today. These. companies are already getting sued by. parents whose children were coaxed into.

suicide by chat bots. And when those. lawsuits, the company lawyers are. saying, "We had no idea our product was. deadly." and then turning around and. saying today, "Oh, our product could be. pretty deadly. Can't have it both ways.". The doomer industrial complex is out in. full swing. Totally unAmerican. Meanwhile, China full speed ahead. Beijing believes whoever wins the AI. race is going to be the sole superpower. who does wonders for mankind. The.

narrative is much more practical. Nobody's in China is saying that there's. end of this and end of that and you know. cataclysmic this and you know. >> doom or that. >> doom or that. >> They're much more pragmatic about it. They see AI as a technology that's going. to advance their economy, advance their. society and they don't have these these. groups who are basically saying it's. going to end civilization. >> and we're making it up. says, 'Don't worry about the AI arms. race. It's not real. No one can win the AI arms race. Our. goal must be to end the AI arms race. These are the same people who said we. had to unilaterally disarm during the. Cold War. We needed to get rid of our. nuclear weapons, even if the Soviets. didn't. reactors. Being a doomer is a dead end. We're on the verge of an AI boom. They're saying it's bigger than the. industrial revolution. And Democrats. want to lay down and just give it all to. the Chinese. AI doomers have a lot in. common with the people who want to hurt. Anthropic even held a. funeral for a bot that they had to. retire. Who are these people? Well, bunch of. pale woke freaks who believe in open. borders pronouns in the apocalypse. And.

they have the Democrats and the media on. the ropes. The Post says tech tycoons. are funding newsrooms and nonprofits. And as many as 80 journalists are on the. payroll, spreading fear porn, and it's. working. A new political poll shows 63%. of Americans say there's a serious risk. of AI destroying humanity. And half of. Kamala voters say it's okay for America. to lose to China in AI. Wow. The actual. smart guys in the valley are calling it. all a hoax and are trying to wake us all.

up. If we're if we're not confident. about the safety of the products like. all companies like you and I any any com. all the companies here if you build a. product or a service and you're not. confident in its. functionality capability or safety then. don't release it. These people have said. the world's going to end but AI is. actually making the economy boom and how. you view it says a lot about who you are. as a person. If you're negative, you.

have no hope for humanity and think the. glass is half empty, you're a doomer. If. you think Maxine Waters can help you, tells us everything about you. But if. you're for it, you're buying into the. next industrial revolution, bigger and. better than ever. You're betting on. America. Artificial intelligence isn't. even artificial. It's actually human. intelligence. What we've done is we've. taken all of the knowledge, reason, and. understanding from the entirety of. mankind from the very beginning, put it.

different bots software agents pieces of. software and we've said hey go attack. these systems and see if you can find. any exploits. They're good at that. They're also good at fixing those. exploits. And so some people working in. the industry see these bots just like. you might in chat ch Jesse it has a. personality right it's been programmed. to have a personality now imagine these. bots talking to each other having. personalities and actually being pretty. good at hacking software that's what's.

happening you could easily Jesse make a. thousand of them to make a system. impregnable and just perfect that could. also happen so we have some people who. are young who are getting very panicked. about this and making two or three. jumps. What if they had robots? What if. they had access to nuclear bombs? The. subject of movies we all grew up with, Terminator 2 or War Games. So, we should. worry about that 10 years from now. But. for today, we just want to make software. a little um resilient to hacking. And.

that's really the the shortterm effort. But of course, people are politicizing. >> succinct and easy to digest. explanation. And I thank you for sharing. that with us. But let's just jump ahead. Let's play their game. H how are these. computer programs going to create a. boweapon? How are they going to launch a. nuclear missile at Seattle? How? >> Yes, this is where you need to get some. science fiction authors in a room to. make like three or four or five jumps.

>> The jump you would have to make to get. to the nuclear missiles is those are. airgapped. You would have to create an. incredible thriller where somehow the AI. programs a thumb drive. That thumb drive. makes it way its way into the missile. silo and uploads it, right? It's just. not possible. >> Okay. >> Now, and to take the airplanes out of. the sky. Those are also what we call in. the industry airgapped. We also have. human in the loop system. So, right, people are getting a little excited. about this. We were all trained on. science fiction to get excited about it.

The pernicious thing here is, and you. alluded to this with Bernie Sanders. getting into this and other folks, people when they see a crisis like this. want to jump on it and they have. agendas. And one of the agendas here is. to do what's called regulatory capture, create a bunch of rules. So maybe these. one or two companies can win the market. and then the smaller companies coming up. or opensource where anybody can own the. technology, maybe they get regulated out. of existence. Right.

>> And so there are some nefarious forces. at work here. And it's our job, you. know, all-in podcast. You know, you here. as a host here in the mainstream media. to kind of debunk this a bit. President. Trump came to the All-In Summit or he. phoned into the All-In Summit and said, "Listen, >> nerds, get back to work." [laughter]. Jansen knows what he's talking about. Satia Nadella, Elon Musk, they all to a. point said, "Sure, there are could be. some concerns, but let's just not. release broken software." And Elon had a. just perfect solution. Why don't we.

build software that tests these lang. large language models, chat, GPTs, and. profics flawed, and then we'll just test. each other's models and look for. vulnerabilities and then we'll publish. the vulnerabilities. That's a perfectly. reasonable next step. But I can tell you. something, the Chinese are going to. speedun to get to super intelligence. So, President Trump's correct. We can't. slow down, but we just need to be. careful. >> You can't. And the people that want to. have a different agenda, we're hearing. rumors. We had Lansdale on last night.

He was saying that they're worshiping AI. in San Francisco like a god. Do do you. do you see that? Have you sensed that? What's that about? So, um sometimes people get delusions of. grandeur and these folks not only think. that they're gods, they think they're. building God. And so when they look into. this, they're so impressed by their own. work. Joe's right. They do get a little. bit of a delusion of grandeur that there. are these grand engineers creating God.

and then God's going to save the planet. The truth is this is software. It's very. powerful software. We should be. thoughtful with it. But I can tell you. it's not going to create a nuclear. holocaust anytime soon. Just not. possible. It's not going to create. boweapons. Yeah. >> What are the greatest things that this. could do? We always hear about doomsday. Te tell me your upside, JC. >> Well, yeah. And this is really. important. Uh we're going to have a. world of abundance. It is quite possible. that this technology will solve many.

health care problems. It'll give every. single student the ability to have their. own personal tutor. So not just rich. parents who get to have that tutor that. gets you an extra two or 300 points on. the SATs. Everybody's going to have an. amazing free tutor. We're also going to. see prices of products and services, whether it's energy, water, uh, consumer. packaged goods, those are all going to. drop in price like they have over the. last 50 years of efficiency and. technology. And this is going to. dramatically increase it. So, we're.

going to live longer. We're going to. have better lives.
