Iran issuing new WARNING SIGNS with action at nuclear sites
Certainly, we were expecting some kind. of escalation from Iran and its proxies, you know, prior to the midterms. And it. looks like this is what they've selected. to do. There is a bit of a coalition. working against the Houthies here. And. obviously, I think we got to strengthen. it and step step up the game a little. bit. >> So, Jack Keane with us just this week. Now, coming over on the board, I'll show. you what's happening in what's become a. quickly developing hot war between Saudi. Arabia uh and Yemen to the south. We. focused a lot on the straight of Hormuz.
rightfully so over the past 6 months or. so. Baba Manddev, that's that choke. point right down here on the Red Sea. And we'll show you why that is so. relevant in a moment here on the map. When we talk about a hot war, the. Houthies are hitting targets inside. Saudi Arabia with the ballistic missiles. with great efficiency. For example, they. hit that airport this week in Riad where. you had several innocent people, including an American killed there. Overnight they they hit Dahan, Saudi. Arabia and they targeted the Aramco oil.
headquarters for the executives who work. for the company. Aramco is one of the. largest oil companies in the entire. world. The Houthies for them that was. their target overnight uh last night. I'll show you one more thing down here. If you focus here down on Yemen and the. western part of the country, this is. that shoreline uh where the Houthis have. control and that's that's why there is. so much concern. You got two choke. points, same part of the world trying to. get oil to the market and that's where.
our focus is right now. And I'll bring. in retired Lieutenant General Karen. Gibson, former US SenCom intelligence. director. General, thank you for your. time. You're just in the region there. Um, will the United States get involved. and support the Saudis right now in a. more forceful way against the Houthies? >> Well, of course, Bill, that'll be a. decision by the president. Uh, he has a. lot to weigh. I think some of the. arguments against getting involved. One, it opens another significant front for.
the United States that requires. resources. you know, not just ships, but. a lot of aircraft, a lot of. intelligence, and that could pull from. the assets that are either dedicated to. the straight of Hormuz and Iran or. assets that could be used for other. contingencies, say in the Indoacific. So, there's a resource drain there. A. second reason, you know, there's some. would question the efficacy of air. strikes alone to compel the Houthis to. do anything. They've been at war with. the Saudis, you know, a hard hot war. from 2015 to 2022. They're pretty.
belligerent. And I think it's really. going to require ground forces, Jack. General Keane alluded to those ground. forces to dislodge them. A third reason, you know, the Houthis as they've. targeted vessels going through the Babel. Mandab and the Red Sea have been. specifically targeting only Saudiled. vessels. I think there's some concern. that if other nations like the US get. involved that they will broaden open the. aperture and they will go after more. vessels and that the Babal Menddev. itself could become another key choke.
point much like um the straight of. hormones. Those are some arguments. against getting involved. >> Well, I'm sure you would agree with what. General Keane just said like this is the. war. This is the battle that the. Iranians have chosen to fight for now. Wall Street Journal, Iran fortifying. nuclear sites and rallying its people. for a return to fighting. That's the. story in the Wall Street Journal. Now, you were just in the United Arab. Emirates. What did you learn on that. trip? >> Well, okay. So, Bill, it was a great. trip. Thanks for asking. I would say.
there was a broad consensus that the. economics of warfare have really. shifted. If you look on the attack side. of the equation, much cheaper and easier. for elements like the Houthis to conduct. long range precision strikes against. nation states. On your map where you. circled Riad in the center of the. country, the Aramco facility on the. Persian Gulf, but on the other side, the. Red Seaside, the Houthis have hit. Yanboo. So, tremendous geographic reach. for a nonnationstate actor with long.
range precision strikes. Cheap and easy. to do. getting more and more expensive. all the time for nations like Saudi. Arabia, the Emirates and others to. defend their critical infrastructure. So. again, cheap and easy to strike, relatively exceedingly expensive to. defend and we've got to change the we're. on the wrong side of that cost equation. I think that was really a consensus of. the regional security conference in Abu. Dhabi. >> General last question here. Do you think. these Persian Gulf countries, Saudi.
Arabia, UAE, Qatar, even Iraq, Jordan, are they better equipped to fight a war. now than they were say two years ago? >> I think they are better equipped, but. the problem is, as I, you know, alluded. to with the equation there, that their. adversaries have made even greater. advances than the developments in. defense that those countries did. I. would point out in the uh or the Houthis. in particular, you know, the Houthis can.
indigenously produce a lot of this. stuff. of course they get great. assistance from Iran funding advanced. weaponry um intelligence advisors and. potentially potentially it's been. reported getting some components from. China although I haven't personally seen. that evidence but yes it's much easier. to go against our critical. infrastructure despite the advances in. air defense um across the Gulf states. >> terrific analysis good to have you on. Karen Gibson Lieutenant General thank. you for your time today.
>> so this morning new warning Signs from. Iran. The terror regime reportedly. fortifying its nuclear sites. I know. And rallying loyalists as UK officials. say two shipping containers have just. been struck in the street of Hermuz, marking 10 attacks in a week. This as. the US embassy in Riad warns Americans. to reconsider travel to Saudi Arabia. after deadly Houthi missile attacks at. the airport. Meanwhile, concern. spreading to Europe where officials say. Iran is almost certain certainly behind. a suspected plot targeting a UK air base. used by US forces.
We will not tolerate these threats on. our soil. We will crack down on Iran's. use of criminal networks using our full. range of powers to target them and their. funding streams. And we will bring. further sanctions to restrict the. capacity of Iran and the IRGC to do us. harm. >> Fox News contributor Rebecca Heinrich. joins us now. First off on Iran harding. up their nuclear sites again. Uh it's. easy to see. Why don't you think we're. doing anything yet? is everything to do.
with the midterm elections and the price. of gas and oil. >> Yeah, I think Brian at this point that. the United States has so badly degraded. the US military and US Central Command. is so successful in protecting ships. going through the straight of Hormuse. I. saw we just got about 19 million barrels. of oil through the straight of Hormuse. just yesterday that we are pretty. comfortable because we have such a. military advantage against the Iranians. But as you said, the Iranians have not. given up yet. So they're trying to. fortify their their nuclear sites. And.
that I think means too, Brian, that they. know that President Trump is almost. certainly not bluffing that he does have. the will and the capacity to go back at. the Iranians to finally make sure that. they can't rebuild, reconstitute their. nuclear facilities. Remember, we've got. the an aircraft carrier surging to the. region that should arrive around the. straight of Hormuse region sometime by. the end of November. I know when Saudi. Arabia gets hit, obviously we have an. alliance with them, but the Saudis have. this brand new alliance with Pakistan. and Turkey. I'm wondering why that.
hasn't been triggered yet because the. Saudis are hitting civilian airports. right now or the Houthies almost trying. to provoke our response. Certainly a. Saudi response. >> Yeah, that's right. I mean, I don't. really think that this other potential. Mecca alliance really means anything. I. mean, the Saudis understand that it's. really the United States that is the one. that can bride provide stability in the. region with our greatest ally, Israel, and these Gulf partners should increase. their relationship with the Israelis.
That's the way to get peace in the. region. The Iranians are operating this. so-called axis of resistance and they're. utilizing the Houthis, which is a. jihadist paramilitary organization to. put pressure on the Gulf States. It's. not just Brian, it's not just that. they're targeting the Saudis. Remember. they killed an American by targeting. that airport the other day. >> I know the president's showing. remarkable patience because you know uh. this is really the October surprise, isn't it? This is the try to bait. America in to jack up the price of oil. over $100 a barrel leading up to the.
midterm elections because they wrote a. 28page letter already to America saying. vote Democrat. So we know exactly what's. going on. Let's but let's uh jog over to. Ukraine. Uh, President Trump says the US. is still sharing intel with Ukraine. because there are reports today that. we've stopped. Ukraine says for the last. two days we've got nothing and that's uh. and that Starlink has paired back their. help for off- offensive weapons to. locate sites inside Russia. What are you. hearing Rebecca Hinrix?
>> Well, if we were doing that, Brian, we. would be snatching defeat from the jaws. of victory because the Ukrainians are. doing well on the battlefield. The. United States should be doing what we. can to help the Ukrainians continue to. hold the line and defend themselves. So, it would be unconscionable if the United. States was doing anything that would. give the Russians the advantage at this. point. The pro peace policy and strategy. at this point, Brian, is to pressure the. Russians who are continuing their. assault against the Ukrainians. And. remember, if the United States does.
anything to increase or help the. Russians at this point, the Russians are. the ones that are providing help to the. Houthies. You just heard from Trey. Yinst. And so that is directly causing. American casualties. And of course, the. Russians back Iran, which the United. States is engaged in an active conflict. >> Yeah. And Rebecca, it's just so clear. that Zilinsky would not hit a refinery. if they stop hitting his power grid and. everything else. And they did it last. night. I was watching the footage right. before I came here. It's out in the BBC. They were doing live coverage. So, it's.
obvious the president's trying to give. Putin a saving face offramp. He doesn't. want to take it. Thanks so much, Rebecca. Always appreciate your. reporting. >> Tensions escalating in the Middle East. with the Iranianbacked Houthies and. Saudi Arabia exchanging strikes as. President Trump delivered a new warning. to Iran during a rally in Alaska. >> Oh, wait till you see what we do to. Iran. We're going to We're going to do a. number. Wait till you see. They're just. waiting. They're waiting. Will you see. what we do to Iran? The big thing is.
they were not going to have a nuclear. weapon and they won't. that's buried. under thousands of tons of. rock, but we're respected. >> And the warning comes as the Wall Street. Journal reports Iran is strengthening. its nuclear sites and rallying. supporters ahead of a possible return to. fighting. Retired Navy Seal and host of. the Everyday Warrior podcast, Mike. Slingi, joins me now. Mike, thanks for. coming on to talk about this. I want. your thoughts on this new warning from.
the president to Iran. Yeah, it is severe and Iran is. fortifying natans in pickaxe mountain. for just this reason. President Trump. said he could attack after the midterm. elections. You know, you've got to. think, you know, Iran is approaching the. the straight of her in the Red Sea as. increasing the cost of the war, but. their only sort of strategic negotiation. chip is is their nuclear programs. And. that's why they're fortifying their. positions, not necessarily re uh. restarting uh enrichment of uh of.
nuclear material, but the rallying o of. their population is more about regime. survival than it is national defense. Uh. and they have an opposition problem. So. they're deploying bajis into schools. They're doing weapons training. But that. is to to redirect the narrative from the. domestic economic failure to we have. enemy at the gates. And that is a time. old tactic. But the Iranian people are. not stupid. They've long opposed this. regime. It is a great sign that this.
this regime is in desperation. >> Mike, what do you think the next attack. uh would look like on Iran from the US. and in relation to what President Trump. is saying? >> So, maritime security is still is. starting to go well. We're seeing the. flow of of energy traffic uh increase. Uh they still have the the the the. ability to disrupt the straight uh but. that is being handled. I would see. President Trump specifically going at as. after Natans and Pickax Mountain for. just that re uh reason. If you remove.
that strategic leverage, they have very. little to negotiate with and that. changes the the the the the direct route. towards ending this war. I. >> and I want to talk about something else. the Wall Street Journal reported. It. said, quote, "Iran is preparing for. possible US attacks after the midterms. Do you think this means attacks here on. US soil? Is that military bases in the. Middle East or is it a combination of. both? >> It's it's a combination of both, but. we're seeing uh great progress here. Uh. especially coming out of the UK and UK.
Prime Minister uh Andy Burnham using. very strong language that they believe. the IRGC most certainly directed these. attacks on the RAF. We're going to see. onesies and twzies of our allies start. to enter and it's not a white knight. coming across and doing offensive. operations. But if they become part of. the security infrastructure, they add. assets to the region, they start. protecting our Gulf partners, we see a. different architecture and a different. trajectory of this war in the favor of. the Gulf partners, the US and our.
allies. >> And then really quickly before I let you. go, how do you think this impacts the. midterms in a couple of weeks with the. what President Trump is saying and also. um Iran? Yeah, definitely. Uh it's going to be an. interesting uh perspective and we will. see. I think the American people are. tired of war. Uh they're dealing with. domestic uh economic issues, the concern. of gas prices. I'm hoping the Republican. party can pull this out, but uh time. will tell. >> Okay, Mike Cerilli, thank you so much. for your time. I appreciate it.
