Ilhan Omar being investigated for alleged immigration fraud #shorts

Um, also want to ask you about some. comments from the DHS Secretary this. week. He was at the convention and he. said on a podcast, let me pull it up. here. Um, made made some claims about. Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Um, he said. "Something's going to happen. We know. that she married her brother to try to. bring him to the United States. We know. that he now lives in London. They There. may be more to this. The whole family migration and possibly. some illegal activity for them to come.

to the United States to begin with. If. we can prove it that you shouldn't have. been in here in the first place, we will. deport you." Um, Congresswoman Omar, we. should note, has repeatedly denied this. allegation. Um, her chief of staff last. year called it a ridiculous lie. Um, can you say though whether the federal. government has evidence right now that. Congresswoman Omar committed immigration. or naturalization fraud because the DHS. Secretary appeared to be making a. declarative statement there?

>> Well, I'm not going to comment on. ongoing criminal investigation. I know. things are going on, uh, but I can't. give specifics uh, of what's happening, but uh, you know, we'll see. I mean, uh, if. someone committed immigration violation, if someone committed marriage fraud or. anything like that, regardless if. they're a congresswoman or not, uh, no. one's above the law. So, um, I'll leave. it at that. We'll let the uh, HSI, Homeland Security Investigations, uh, continue the investigation.
