A WARNING TO AMERICA: What the US could learn from France's riots
So, there's chaos erupting across France. as violent riots and looting lead to. more than 1,800 arrests. Take a look at. this. These are shocking scenes because. it's fires burning in the streets of. Paris. Rioters hurling objects at. police, shopkeepers being attacked as. stores are looted and destroyed, and. historic 19th century city hall now. largely lost after being engulfed in. flames. French President Emanuel. Mcronone now vowing to hold those. responsible accountable. And then. several political, labor, and student.
organizations are involved in the. protest movement on the far left side of. the spectrum. Senior fellow at the. Heritage Foundation, Mike Gonzalez, joins me now. Mike, thanks for coming on. to talk to us about this. This is crazy. what we're seeing uh over in France. right now. But I want your thoughts as. what we're seeing as a whole. >> Well, good morning, Ashley. Good. morning, Todd. What we're seeing here is. our future. Americans may ask. themselves, "What should I care? I'm not. French. I never been to France. I've. only been there once. If we don't act,
if if we don't choose that this is we. don't want this future, it could be. ours. These are huge political riots now. taking place across France. The speech. that Mron the president gave yesterday. was insufficient has been dead pant. across the country. On the contrary, the. speech that Mah Pen, the leader of the. party that our media loves to call far. right, though it isn't far right, the. national, she gave a fantastic speech.
She is going to get herself elected in. elections this May and a this March and. April. First round is in March, second. round is in April. Uh it looks that way. anyway because these riots are really. making her case. You know, I I want to. also clarify that JD Vance, he actually. used this as an example of what could. happen in America if Democrats control. Congress. He said, "I pray that France, a beautiful country of amazing people, will stop this madness before more of. its landmarks burn, and I hope Americans.
are paying attention. This is the future. congressional Democrats seek for your. country." Also, Trump weighed in and he. said that France needed to tighten its. borders. Uh, do you think this is where. this lies? is from the borders and from. a political standpoint. >> Yes. But but but it has to move beyond. that. This is a cultural problem and we. need to address cultural issues. This is. a an absence of assimilation. France. used to be great at assimilating its. immigrants. It abandoned assimilation.
about around the same time that we did. in the 60s and 70s because of similar. issues. Theirs was over guilt over. colonialism. We did it because we were. told we were we had systemic racism and. and and and so we abandoned taking in. immigrants and telling them if you're. going to come here the bargain is you're. going to become American. You're going. to adopt more and traditions of the. United States. France did the same thing. and look at but in at an accelerated. pace. These people rioting they're not.
immigrants. They're they're second. generation or third generation. people. born in France to people born in France. obviously of uh of of origin in Muslim. countries they hate France they are. torching the statue of Jon of Arc. they're torching the statue of Maran the. they the. republic they're toppling that city hall. that town hall that you just showed in. in the city of Leosh that town hall has. existed for 134 years gone um they're.
diluting Jewish stores Jewish owned. stores in Marseilles Hey, they know the. addresses and they're going after them. These are pilgrims. We need to pay. attention to this, but for our own sake, JD Vance is actually right. >> Okay, Mike Gonzalez, thank you for that. We appreciate it. >> All right, here we go. Back with a Fox. News alert. France facing a major. security crisis as fiery protests ripped. through the country. Did you see this? Over the weekend, at least 1,800 people. have been arrested following rioting,
looting, and clashes with police, with. mass groups setting fires, and. vandalizing stores. This is ugly. There. were even seen attacking public. buildings, including the 19th century. city hall, Lee Marouge, where the roof. collapsed after it was engulfed in. flames by protesters. Who would do that? Authorities say roughly 550,000. people took part in the demonstrations. with more than 100 more than 500 police. officers, military officers, and. firefighters all injured. The protest.
started over rising living costs, teacher shortages, and failing public. services, but have now turned into a. political firestorm. Emanuel Mcronone. Emanuel Mcronone vowing to punish those. he says tried to bring down the French. Republic. >> Those who destroyed must pay. Those who. plundered must pay back. Those who. sought to bring down the republic will. have to answer for it. >> That's it. The riots are fueling a. political fight ahead of next spring's. presidential election. Presidential.
candidate Marine Le Pen is blasting. politicians Jeanlu Melan Shawn for. joining the Paris march. She's way to. the left and she and Le Pen is way to. the right saying looting and attacks on. police have overshadowed the protesters. message and the unrest is spreading. beyond France with demonstrators. reported in Lisbon and Mil and Milan and. violence also reported in parts of Italy. and Albania. And now Fox News Digital is. exposing how communist unions and global. propaganda networks are actually behind.
the protest targeting Western culture. Here with more is Astra Nomani, the. senior investigative editor at Fox News. Digital. Astra, what makes you think. this is, and I agree with you, but what. makes you think this is bigger than a. bunch of high school kids who want. better conditions? >> Well, McCron can go to Fox News Digital. and see the 54 names of groups that. [snorts] we've identified, and they are. specific to the communist socialist. far-left network that is in Europe and.
in the world. They in work with the. Islamist groups that are very. anti-Israel. And that's why you're going. to see the Palestinian flag along with. these images of the hammer and sickle in. all of these protests. You don't see the. French flag flying in order for them to. get a better France. They're trying to. destroy the nation. And we can see this. spreading throughout the world. >> I mean, what is attractive about. communism? Will people just sober up? There's nothing good about it. I thought. we figured that out when the Cold War.
ended. These are the key groups you. outlined. French Communist Party. translation France Unbowed, the CGC, Labor Union translation, Solidar. students, and urgent Palestine. Uh, obviously you know what that means. The. translation Muslim students of France. So this fundamentally it shows the. president is right with his truth social. post last week when he said this is what. happens when you open up your borders. and let anybody in. >> Yeah. And what has happened is that they. have taken very legitimate grievances.
that people have in society over schools. and public services and exploited them. And Brian, [clears throat] the important. point is that this is also exactly the. same playbook as the far-left groups are. doing in the United States of America. We've seen it over the last decade. And. they're amplified by a network by a man. that is sitting in Shanghai named. Neville Roy Singum who is pro-communist. is a self-avoued Marxist and these US. nonprofits are amplifying the protests.
in Europe in India in South America in. order to make it look like a global. revolution for ideas that yes we thought. had long ago expired. >> Yes. Uh I think we could extradite that. guy. Uh I he keeps coming up. Um Georgia. Maloney uh noticed what was happening in. Italy. She came out right away and said. once again the women and men of law. enforcement have had to face the. violence of criminals even though. organized and even though organized. groups exploit demonstrations to seek. confrontation and so chaos. Same thing.
in Portugal. Uh we're seeing this spread. throughout. How big could this get? And. do you think that finally these European. countries could realize the enemy's. there and hurting them from within and. take legitimate action instead of. waiting for days and just tweeting and. having a benign statement like Mcronone? >> Right. Exactly, Brian. Because they knew. these groups had signal days ago that. they were going to be on the streets on. Saturday. And now I've now learned that.
on November 20th, these same far-left. socialist communist groups are going to. hit the streets of Europe for a protests. that go across 12 countries. And they. they signal exactly what they've. planned. I ended up staying up through. the night putting all the names on Fox. News digital because I don't want people. to just think that these are student. protests. Don't believe the propaganda. and don't believe the sort of euphemisms. that a lot of government leaders put. forward. There are specific names with.
signals, flags, and other signs that. indicate exactly where the money is. flowing from these organizations onto. the streets. And it is organized chaos. I call it chaos inc because it is a. network and a business. And the goal is. revolution and rebellion. >> And real quick, the the elections that. are coming up, who do they want to win? Well, interestingly, these are far-left. organizations and parties that are. trying to elect the far-left. politicians, but they would be very.
happy with Marian Le Pen coming into. office because then they would have. another evildoer, right, that they can. target just like they've been doing in. the United States of America with Donald. Trump. So, they love the demagogue that. they can try to dismantle because the. the bottom line is just like you were. saying, communism has failed as a system. and they don't have solutions. So, their. only answer is chaos. And that's what. we've seen unfold on the streets of. Europe. Now, >> great work. Uh, check it out on Fox News. Digital right now. She breaks it down. and tells you what exactly is underneath.
all these horrific riots. Ashra, thank. you. >> Thank you, Brian. >> So, Vice President Jody Vance warning, what you see in France is what to expect. if Democrats are in charge. Posting. quote, Western liberals imported the. third world into France and other. countries in the name of diversity and. compassion. They ignore fundamental. questions of assimilation and. compatibility. They were told that it. would lead to this and they didn't. listen. And I hope Americans are paying. attention. This is the future. congressional Democrats seek for your.
country. Fox News contributor Daily Wire. opinion editor Ben Dominic joins us now. Ben, the vice president is exactly. right. Um, but will voters listen? Well, I certainly hope that they do, Lawrence. And I think that he's hit the. nail on the head with this. You know, the truth is that what we've seen is. these leftist policies that are designed. to completely open your border to import. migrants who have no affinity, have no. love for the country that they are.
coming into. uh that that creates uh a. real powder keg that can be exploited by. the leftists who exist within that. country and by people who simply want to. rob and loot those around them. I think. that what you're seeing play out here in. France is something that is really an. indictment not just of their policies. but the policies of the west and the. policies of a Europe that has grown. decayed and decrepit that has imported. all these people who do not love these. countries that do not love their art do.
not love the incredible architecture do. not love the buildings that are around. them instead [music] view them simply as. something to be robbed destroyed and. replaced with whatever chaos they would. like to uh have in a new regime. one where they have control. That's. something that we need to understand as. a very real dynamic. It's not just the. stuff of theor theories or of of you. know elite debate or something like. that. It's not something you're going to. read in a Michael Welbeck novel. It's. something that you are going to see on. the streets across Paris today. The idea.
that you're just going to impose some. curfews on these people, I don't think. that's going to work. And Lawrence, I. think that I think that American voters. should wake up to the fact that this is. the kind of thing that the left uh and. the Islamist agenda in America really. wants to see happen here. >> It's such a critical point, Ben. Um. Marco Rubia earlier this month gave. another warning. >> Over time, we in the West came to feel. ashamed of the very things that made us.
exceptional. The word nationalism became. a dirty word. And so we tore down our. monuments. We condemned our own history. We find ourselves at a crossroads. The. course we take will determine whether. the West maintains its place at the head. of the world or resigns itself to a. future of atrophy and servitude and. decline. We will either choose to act. now. or lose the choice to act at all. >> Yeah. The fundamental thing is been they.
don't like the country. They want to. burn everything down. our documents. included. >> and start all over. >> You know, the the heritage that we have. is something that we can honor. You. know, as Marco Rubio has said in other. remarks, you know, I mean, I'm I'm. someone who has, you know, traces back. my ties to Spain, to the Netherlands, to. Ireland. But the truth is, the thing. that I'm most proud of is being an. American. And being an American is. something that I think we should all be. proud of. And that especially, you know, on the 250th anniversary of our country,
we we can all stand up and have pride in. that. These people have no pride in this. country. They view it as something that. they can tear down and and and pervert. to their own ends. And that's what. France is experiencing right now. The. consequences of becoming, as Marco Rubio. said, apologetic about their values, viewing nationalism as something that is. a dirty word, that they can't have. national pride. It's absurd. It's at. odds with the way that human behavior. has has been for the entirety of our. history. And it's something that we.
ought to reject, especially in this age. when people seek to exploit it in order. to burn, to loot, and to destroy the. culture that they are now part of. >> Well said, Ben. Thanks so much for. joining us this morning. [snorts]. >> [applause]. [cheering]. >> So, French officials now calling for.
curfews later tonight after a weekend of. riots and they were brutal. It is. believed more than half a million. protesters are on the streets. Our next. guest writing this, the kids are not all. right in France. Mark Whitesman's a. contributor for Tablet Magazine, author. of Hate, the rising tide of. anti-semitism in France. And thank you. sir for your time from Paris today. Uh. um Fox Newsw.com on our digital yeah our. digital site wrote the following about. who's who inside of the chaos. They.
write this. Of the 54 organizations. identified in the October protest. ecosystem. 16 or only one in three are. student or youth organizations including. communist youth groups and a Muslim. student organization. It continues. The. remaining 38 include adultled communist. groups, labor unions, political parties, revolutionary left organization, advocacy groups, and international. propaganda outlets. That's a lot. What. have you seen from your post there?
>> Well, it's certainly been an. unprecedented uh journey. Uh, you know, we've ne friends has never been has. never seen anything like it. uh not in '. 68 nor never uh in the city of. Marseilles only we had uh 30,000 luters. uh in one city and uh even even the. Muslim shoppers who suffered the looting. said that the most of them were of. Muslim or immigrant backgrounds to be uh.
we had city halls destroyed, burned down. uh police stations attacked uh for for. this is this is something really uh uh. nobody knows how to deal with it right. now in the country. Uh were were there. 54 organization that uh propagandized. for it? Possibly. There certainly there. certainly are some organizations behind. it. Uh we've seen uh messages on social.
networks calling for 17 October. uh um. uh an anonymous accounts, mystery. anonymous accounts, Algerian accounts, uh Russian bots that were part of the of. the uh of the calls to uh but you know, you only weaponized that people that can. be weaponized. Part of the hatred, part. of the anger is genuine. Uh and that's. the real problem of the country right. now. uh the the the this this the. population that you see on the on those.
uh on those pictures right now on the. videos are really are more more than. more than angry. Students are angry but. the riers and the looters are more than. angry. They hate uh the country and they. say so on social networks. This is the. real problem. The problem is hate and. it's been rising for a long long time. uh we we were a certain number of. writers and journalists to uh you know. to try to uh ring to to to to raise.
alarm in the country since the early. 2000s and the rise of anti-semitism. Now. I think it's too late. >> Um uh nobody Yeah. Uh we are we're 6. months away from a presidential. election. The uh the actual government. is totally out of touch with the. population. no political no political. personality really emerges right now. Uh. so the country is really in a bad bad. state and on top of it you have a. national debt that exceeds $4 trillion.
Uh and this part of the problem because. no because the any candidate to the to. the president to the next presidential. elections has to promise things that he. knows and that everybody knows won't he. won't be able to keep because of the. situation. >> Mark, I have a minute left. Let me just. jump in here. I I just want to jump in. this. 12 days ago in Athens, Greece, Marco Rubio said this kind of about. America, maybe about France, too. Watch. >> Over time, we in the West came to feel.
ashamed of the very things that made us. exceptional. We taught our children to. be ashamed of the countries they would. inherit. Today. we find ourselves at a crossroads. because the next decade and the. decisions we make will write the story. of the next century. We will either. choose to act now. or lose the choice to act at all. >> Is that how some in France feel? >> Yeah, that's totally accurate for the. for the French situation. I would say as.
I just said I I I think it's a little. bit late but uh better late than never. Uh the problem is who is going to be. able to uh to put the country together. I think the French have to do the work. by themselves because the political. class right now is discredited. Uh uh. and that's something that you begin to. see. I mean uh after the riots uh people. people street people normal people uh uh.
took to the streets to help the. shopkeepers that have been looted and. help them recover. Uh pe you know people. are trying to to uh uh rebuild the. country by themselves without too much. trust in any institutions right now. But. okay but certainly the countries are. Yeah. Uh but the but certainly the. country is at a crossroad and probably. the whole Europe is is at a crossroad at. this point. >> There is a two week holiday for school.
right now and you say it's not over and. perhaps it tones down for a moment but. it's not over in the end. Mark. Whitesman, thank you for your time and. sharing what you've learned there in. France. >> Thank you for Yeah. >> Thank you. >> Thank you as well. Apocalyptic scenes from France. Hundreds. of thousands of violent far-left rioters.
fighting with police, looting. businesses, and causing chaos over the. weekend. Just two days and it looked. like that. President Trump posted, quote, "The migrants have taken over. France. Now, Greg, that. situation has devolved daily.
>> Absolutely. It was a weekend of extreme. violence, Harris. The kind of violence. that this place, believe it or not, hasn't seen in a long time. We are just. off of Plaster Republic and behind us. are burnt out cars and trucks. There. were dozens and dozens hit. It started. out peacefully, a large protest against. the rising cost of living and faltering. public services in support of students. that have been protesting, but then it. was hijacked by what is being called. today ultralleft extremists and just.
plain young crooks clashing with police, smashing, stealing anything in sight. All told, in Paris and in cities across. Government buildings like a city hall. and a town in the center of France up in. flames. The target of much of this. anger, the embattle of French President. Emanuel Mcronone. But today, the political fallout is. raining down with left and right. knocking the government's handling of. the unrest. It's revealed the interior. minister offered his resignation to. Mcron admitting a lack of anticipation,
his words, of the violence of the mob. and that security forces actually, these. are his words again, lost control of. parts of Paris and other major cities. His resignation, by the way, was refused. following an emergency government. meeting today. It was suggested that. curfews and limits on protests could be. enforced. a possible state of. emermergency also a possibility. Harris, uh I've lived in Paris for eight years. I've covered these protests for for. decades here. But coming here today and.
talking to the people here today that. were in the middle of this, this looks. very different. This looks very. profound. It looks like some people. here, many people here are feeling that. the government has lost control, that. this country could be on the brink of. something very, very serious. And by the. way, in 6 months time, a crucial. presidential election, politics and on. the street. Back to you. >> real quickly, cuz you're on the ground. there. Is anybody talking about Le Pin. uh the person who's on the more right. side of this conservatively? Not exactly.
like American politics, but much more so. than uh than not. And so certainly. socialism translates in both countries. We have heard Harris that Marine Le Pan. and her national front party is could be. the big winner out of all this. She of. course has slammed the Mcronone. government for letting this get out of. hand. But she's also slammed the the. left-wing uh parties that are uh uh. making some hay out of this. And her. central message really is law and order.
And law and order is something that was. very sparse on the ground here this past. weekend. Well, tell that to President McCron who. Friday night was at a Selen Deion. concert while France was burning. Thank. you very much. >> Apocalyptic scenes from France. weekend. narrative. >> Well, tell that to President Mccron, who. Friday night was at a Selen Deion. concert while France was burning. Thank. you very much. Who exactly is behind all. the violence? Weeks ago, students began. protesting over education issues, but. almost immediately, a legion of far-left. groups jumped in and took over. A Fox. News investigation now has found 54. organizations tied to the protests and. to the rioting that we've been seeing. for a couple of weeks. Only 16 of them.
are student or youth organizations. Now, remember, this started out as teachers. and students in the streets saying there. weren't enough, you know, uh, resources. for public schools, that they didn't. have enough seats in class, they had too. many kids in class, that sort of thing. Well, all this includes communist youth. groups and a Muslim student association. The remaining 38 include adult-led. communist groups, labor unions, political parties, revolutionary left. organizations, and international. propaganda outlets. So, the may have.
started with the youth. It's ending with. the grown-ups in the room who have a. whole lot of money and resources behind. them. In focus now, Nile Gardner, former. adviser to Margaret Thatcher and. director of the Thatcher Center for. Freedom at the Heritage Foundation. Great to see you. Look, when you and I. saw this together, unfolding breaking. news just about a week or so ago, you. called it. How did you see it coming? And what is it that we're looking at now. that we know that the bulk of.
organizations on the ground are far. left? >> Uh, great to see you, Harris. And uh. without any doubt uh we are witnessing. in real time a communist Islamist. uprising in France on an epic scale. Uh. we're seeing violence in France that is. more significant even than the 1968 uh. riots many decades ago. And you have a. network of communist and Islamist. organizations working together to. destabilize France. These groups hate.
Western civilization. These. organizations of course are also uh. backing large-scale mass migration into. France and into Europe. They're often. transnational organizations working. across the European continent. We've. seen widespread violence recently in. both Italy and Belgium as well. Uh their. goal is to spread this across the. European uh continent. So this I think. is really just the beginning I think of. widespread unrest that we're going to. see across many European countries. And.
also Harris want to point out that uh. just this morning in Paris uh we. received reports coming from uh from. French uh newspapers uh that some of the. roo riers and looters on the streets of. Paris Leon Marles were carrying AK-47s. submachine guns and this information is. coming from the the French internal. security agency and so we're witnessing. >> urban uh terrorism uh in France. >> who brings an AK-47 7 to a protest/ riot.
organization is what you're talking. about. I'm going to step in quickly. My. time because of all the breaking news. this hour is a little bit short, but I. want to get to some of the scary and. very sad scenes like this one playing. out around France. Individual business. owners pleading with the rioters Nile. who are taking everything from them, destroying their livelihoods. Watch. >> Look, it's a shame. >> Damn. It's a shame. It's not possible. There's art and manners to make demands.
Make demands with class. But not like. this, damn it. >> What do we do to you? We're family men. It's our damn grocery store. How are we. going to survive now? >> So that's in Paris. Nile. >> It's absolutely heartbreaking the scenes. that we're witnessing. And we are seeing. uh immense evil on the streets of French. cities. Really, this is a battle between. good and evil. We're talking here about. the defense of Western civilization. against barbarian barbarians who really.
are resorting to savagery on on a large. scale here. Um, and we've got to fight. to preserve Western civilization, fight. against the barbarians, the lutters, and. put an end to this uh this savagery. But. of course, Emanuel McCron is an. incredibly weak need president uh who is. doing practically nothing. Yeah, he's. missing in action. I think he's off to. the Middle East uh today. He was at a. Selen Dion concert actually on Friday. night. Uh he's a pathetic and weak need. uh leader. France needs real leadership.
France needs to see uh troops on the. streets actually protecting French. citizens and businesses. Uh and we need. to see uh real leadership in France and. Emanuel frankly should resign. He's an. absolute disaster. 550,000 people took. part in 110 marches across France just. on Saturday, October 17th, according to. France's interior ministry. 550,000 in. two days.
France on fire. This was the wild scene. over the weekend. Stores looted, landmarks vandalized. More than half a. million people are believed to have. taken part in these violent riots. And. take a look at this video showing a. store manager in Nice France fighting to. keep riers out of his business. He was. kicked and pelted with rocks and. projectiles before the store was. ransacked. Meanwhile, French President.
Mcronone is facing backlash over his. response to the riots as he travels. across the Gulf on a diplomatic tour. Joining us now is Simone Rodan, senior. envoy for Europe at the Foundation for. Defense of Democracies. Simone, thank. you. You say this is no longer about why. >> because very clearly I mean originally. it started with high school students. Uh. what we are now seeing is something. entirely different. This is about um in. particular the radical left who wanted. supporters to believe that they are.
fighting tyranny. Uh but what have does. intimidating public servants uh or. trashing uh stores for people who have. built their entire lives have to do with. fighting tyranny? >> You also say it says a lot when you look. at the targets in um in France with the. riers storming Marseilles city uh city. hall shouting we're taking the best. deal. Tell us more about that. >> Yeah, you're absolutely right. Um I.
think it's very clear that when people. are attacking town halls, when people. are attacking mayors, when people people. are attacking the symbol of the French. Republic, something entirely different. is going on here. Uh it's a form of. insurrection. Their objective is to. bring down uh the government, to bring. down the states uh symbolically or. actually. Um so I think this is amongst. other things what we are seeing. currently. >> Well, a lot of it um we have seen is. organized. I mean who's behind this?
>> It is indeed organized. It's uh it's for. the government has said that it's very. clear that far-left. anti-fa groups are behind it. Uh in. particular around the figure of Jeanluke. Milan, the presidential candidate from. the far left, which is the equivalent on. the US scale of the DSA. Um and uh. together with other networks, Islamist. networks uh but also probably foreign. actors uh it's very clear, it's become.
very clear uh that Europe, that France. is an easy target uh for anyone trying. to destabilize the west and France in. particular. Uh so we are seeing also. accounts from Algeria. We're seeing. Iranian accounts. uh we are seeing. accounts from Qatar and other countries. uh who are trying to on social media. really to uh sort of you know encourage. protesters to go and do more. >> The Wall Street Journal editorial board. here in the US takes this on uh with a.
headline that reads quote why France is. burning. France is in a violent. democratic funk. It reads and it will. probably get worse. don't think it can't. happen in the US given the current state. of American politics. What do you think. of that warning to us here at home based. on what's happening there? >> Um, I think it's true. I think it's. true. I think what France is. experiencing, has been experiencing uh. is a warning sign to the entire Western.
world. We are seeing extreme. polarization. We are seeing enemies. trying to target uh from the inside and. the outside our liberal democracies. Um. and uh we have seen the early warning. signs already for years here. We have. seen Islamist organizations. We have. seen an explosion of course of. anti-semitism and as you all know. anti-semitism is always the first. warning sign of a society falling apart. Uh so we've seen all of this for years. and I don't think today unfortunately.
any liberal democracy in the world um is. safe from what we are currently. experiencing here. >> Simone uh finally cue the photo so many. are talking about and that is Mcronone. and his wife at a Selind Dion concert in. Paris on Friday night. Uh now Gardner. posted Mcronone's message to France, let. them eat cake. Apparently, anger is. growing in France after the president. and his wife were spotted at that Selen. Deong uh concert in Paris amid this.
widespread unrest across the country. What are people saying about that, Seline? >> Listen, if I was his communications as. our adviser, I would have definitely. told him not to go. It's not a very. smart idea. Um it I think it's a general. issue. I think it's not just the fact. that he went to the concert, but I think. there is a feeling generally that there. is an absence of the state. I mean you. know for day for hours and hours uh some. of the shops here uh in Paris were. ransacked. They were people were coming.
out with you know shoes and phones and. and uh the police was nowhere to be. found. So I think there is nothing worse. in a democracy when people have the. feeling that the state is absent. Uh so. of course the additional symbol of. President Makon uh then attending a. Seline concert uh doesn't help. >> Got it. Uh Selene, it's approaching uh. 7:10 p.m. at night there. We're told. things are somewhat quiet right now. There is a curfew in effect. Uh we'll. certainly be watching for how things go.
throughout the evening there. Selene, thank you for joining us. >> Mr. President, Emanuel Mcron is blaming. the Iran war and you essentially for the. rioting in France right now. >> I don't think he is. No, I think that's. the fake news. Who you with? >> NO, SIR. MARY MARGARET WAS THE Daily. Wire. >> Oh, Daily Wire's good. Mr. Sorry, Daily. Wire. Why would you do a meeting with. President you? Look, he's a friend of. mine. I told him a long time ago, you're. making a big mistake in France. You're. letting everybody from the world come. in. The whole world was coming in. And.
you know, as you know, Paris is going to. be a Muslim city very soon. And that. wasn't the deal. That wasn't the deal. I. told Emanuel, you should close up your. borders. And let's see. I've known him. for probably eight or nine years. I told. him as soon as I met him, I said, "You're making a big mistake. We closed. our borders." He didn't. >> And you know what? His borders are a. problem. And he also has a little bit of. a problem with energy, but they have. gone. You know, they're doing better. than others. But Emanuel should have.
closed his borders a long time ago. I. told him to do it. Sand. The State. Department launching a new campaign. against far-left extremism abroad as. President Trump blames Europe's migrant. crisis for riots in France. and security. forces go on high alert ahead ahead of. an NFL game that is scheduled to take. place in Paris. Our next guest has been. investigating the activist networks that. she calls Chaos Incorporated, including. 54 groups linked to the protests in. France. Fox News Digital senior editor. of investigations Azra Nmani is with us.
now. Azra, it was great to see you. >> Oh, so great to meet. >> So, I want to put this up on the screen. here because this is really interesting. 54 organizations you identified in the. protest network in France. 16 of those. are student youth groups. That means. that 38 are adult-led organizations. Who. who are these people and what are the. implications for what could happen here? >> Yeah, 16 does not make for a studentled. or effort. You know, that's what exactly. what the uh news media is reporting, but. I crunched the numbers. You know, I just.
had to find the data myself. So, I. studied all the signs and the flags and. the various social media postings to. promote these protests. They are a. far-left network of communists and. socialists working together with. Islamists. And so this is something that. I call the Red Green Alliance. And they. are global and we have them here in the. United States. And that's why a mom in. De Moine, Iowa should care about this. because. >> those young people and adults that are.
on the streets of Paris were. indoctrinated. And that is something. that's called a smokeless war. That kind. of indoctrination. And you know, K. through 12 education is so important to. you and me. >> and that kind of indoctrination is. getting into little kids' minds. >> I mean, you brought some examples here. of some of the stuff that's being given. out in the street during these. demonstrations. >> Yeah. So, I wanted to start at the. beginning. Woke baby. It's taught. literally in our school systems and so. they are clearly trying to activate. children. Little cardboard book. You can.
feel it yourself, you know, easy to get. in your hand. Kids book. >> Yeah. A is for activist. And so I don't. know if you know this name, but it's Z. is for Zapatista. They are a communist. group from Mexico. And so this is an. indoctrination that they want to have. end up with this kind of sign in the. hands of adults. >> Trump is a sis symptom. Capitalism is. the disease. So this is the communist. network that then says socialism is the. cure.
>> Right? >> And why does it matter to us? Because. organizations like Democratic Socialist. of America puts people on the ballot. with this idea that America is the. fascist state. >> So when we see these signs being waved. around at various protest demonstrations. in the United States, these are not. signs that were made at home in. somebody's living room or basement or. whatever. These are being produced by. organizations. >> Yeah. And that's exactly what's. happening in France. So it's a global. network. They have an infrastructure. That's why I call it Chaos Inc. because.
it is a business and it's a multibillion. dollar business. >> So here's what happened in France. I. mean loge is known for its you know. fabulous China. Yeah. >> But this is what happened in Lammoj. This is the town hall. This 143y old. building is the famous clock tower goes. down inside. I mean this is kind of. reminiscent of the Notre Dame fire as. well. This fire was set by the. protesters who are destroying France's. history. >> Yeah. And the reason why is because they. believe in this book that is also sold. at these protests. the and I love that. that it's sold. You pay $5 on Venmo and.
you get the Communist Manifesto. >> Carl Marx and Frederick Engles. >> Yeah. And so they want destruction, not. solutions. And that's why everybody. should care. >> Uh so in France, this could end up. backfiring on these far-left. organizations because the right-wing. candidate, Marine Le Pen, has been. leading in the polls, and there's a real. belief that this could propel her over. the top in the French presidential. elections next April. In fact, she had. this message that she put out over the. weekend. Listen here.
>> I therefore strongly condemn the. political exploitation of this anger by. political forces that encourage violence. as well as the exploitation of this. anger by thugs who sow chaos in the. cities of France. In 6 months, the. French people will be able to choose. another path. The path of restored. authority and security. The path of. sovereignty and respected democracy. This is the path I propose to you. >> Right. Okay. So, this this is something. obviously in the wake of what's going on. in France is going to be far more.
attractive to French voters in six. months. >> Right. But the far left is not going to. care because they're going to have an. enemy now in power. And that's just what. they've done in the United States with. turning Trump into a demagogue. And so. whichever way it turns out for them, they are going to continue their. campaign of destruction. >> All right, Ozra, great investigation. It's a great read on Fox News Digital. Thanks for joining us. >> Thank you, John. >> Appreciate it. Be sure to like and subscribe for all. the Fox News latest on YouTube and catch.
