Todd & Julie Chrisley’s Wildest Podcast Yet
[music]. >> Is this thing on? What's up, you sexy. [ __ ]. >> [laughter]. >> Welcome to another episode of Don't Be. Late. Today, I am sitting with I I. Today, I'm sitting with a gangster, Todd. Chrisley, and the most beautiful woman. I've ever laid eyes on, Miss Julie. Chrisley. The Chrisleys are here, baby.
>> Thank you for having us. I am so. excited. >> I. >> I have watched your podcast. I have. listened. I have read your book. I mean. Yeah, I have to admit, I I was really. excited about this one. >> I appreciate you so much. Knowing that. you read my book, too, like that really. means so much to me because you know, writing a book, you pour your heart into. it, and all you want is for people to. just consume it. So, knowing that you. read it, like it just makes me so happy. >> the book. a while before any of this right here. became out. >> Yes.
>> Yes. >> And I remember walking in our bathroom, she was in the bathtub with reading your. book. Now, I don't know what if it was a. personal relationship between your book. and her or what she was doing. >> Shut up. >> There was a lot of movement in the. water. >> Oh. Well, there are some parts in there. that'll make the beaver [laughter] the. meat the beaver throb. >> But, um you know, I remember her saying. she you brought the book to bed one. night, you was reading it, and I said, "What is this you're reading?" And she. tells me, and I said She said, "You've. got to read it." I said, "Yeah, I'm. probably not going to do that." Just. [laughter] because I don't read books.
like that. >> Yeah. >> And not like that, but you know, I just. don't I don't get into people's business. just by a book. >> Well, because people are in your. business. So, you know how that goes. >> So, I kind of feel like that if you put. it out there, then it's okay, but I feel. like that it's an intrusion of that I. almost it's kind of voyeuristic that if. I'm looking into someone's life. And I. know how we have craved privacy for so. long. >> Yes. >> And I and I know that some people when. they hear, "Well, oh, you crave privacy. for so long, but yet you're doing. another podcast or you're creating.
another show or whatever. >> But that's different. It's a controlled. narrative. >> Yes, exactly. I love that. It's a. controlled narrative. [clears throat]. And plus we get to control who's in our. circle and and and that's in our home. and that we feel safe with. And. I just try not to. I have had enough happen in my personal. life. to not find comfort in someone else's. misery or their misfortune. >> Yeah. Right. I don't think I took it. like that at all because to me it was.
such a personal account for you, you. know? I mean, going back to your. childhood and your biological mother and. and your dad. Um and so I think it just. like. you see you and you see you, you know, and. your life that you have now and and on. the podcast and it just gave it such a. different depth to it for me, you know? Because it it like, "Okay, that makes. sense now, you know?" Like. >> Now we know why she turned INTO A. HOOKER.
>> [laughter]. >> WELL, LISTEN, I've been hoeing since I. was 14. >> Oh, me too, babe. >> happen to get more money than I did. >> We're like kindred souls over. >> [laughter]. >> They're paying for not paying for dick. Paying for not paying for dick. So you. did better with your. >> So what form of hoeing were we doing, Todd? >> Well, listen, I was an escort when I was. 18. >> Were you? >> Uh-huh. Um in Los Angeles. Um I left. South Carolina when I was 17. It's in my. book. It's coming out, chapter eight. Um. and it didn't start out like that I was. being an escort. [laughter]. >> Were you like male Were you like Deuce.
Bigalow, male gigolo? >> Kind of. >> [laughter]. >> More like Richard Gere in American. Gigolo. >> nice. >> Um but you know, I met this woman. I. worked at the Cheesecake Factory, the. original Cheesecake Factory, as a. waiter. >> Mm. Delicious. >> And I was there it was there in um. Marina del Rey. >> Mm. >> And. >> Oh, you were making really good money if. you were in Marina del Rey. >> where I came from, I was a a small. little town in South Carolina, I had. never seen $800 handed to me in at one. time in my life.
>> Yeah. >> And so I remember waiting the tables. this night and there was like six or. seven women, good-looking women. >> Mhm. >> And which is going to show you why I. don't is probably why I have less issue. with you and your babysitting service. that you're running right now. [laughter]. Um. >> Todd. >> But cuz this is the hypocrisy at play. >> [laughter]. >> This is the hypocrisy and why I don't. say much about it is that I was 18. >> Oh. >> and I ended up waiting on this table of. women and.
I got an $800 tip. >> Yeah. >> Now, this was 1986. >> Yeah. >> And when I looked at them like oh my. god. Cuz here I was coming from this little. small Hooterville town in the in the in. the rural area of South Carolina. thinking I have made it. >> Yeah. >> I have [ __ ] made it. I've got 800. bucks. And so, I left that restaurant that. night and when I was walking out, there. was this limousine that was backed up. against the wall there at Admiral Way. And the guy was standing there propped.
up like this and I'm thinking [ __ ]. >> like Pretty Woman. >> Um but I was thinking at this time I was. like. yeah, I was thinking of it more along. the lines of like [ __ ] this is kind of. like a an episode in Dynasty. >> Yeah. >> [laughter]. >> So, I was walking cuz I didn't know he. was what he was doing and so, he I was. walking this way, he was coming this way. and he walked at me goes uh good evening. and I said good evening. And he said um. my lady would like to speak with you. He. said you were their server this evening. And I said okay. Now, me being who I was.
and what I came from and parents that. demanded yes, ma'am, no, ma'am, yes, sir, no, sir. Um I said okay. So, I go over and she. lets the window down and she goes um. >> This is so hot. >> [laughter]. >> This is a hot story. >> And so, I she lets the window down. and she says um. great service tonight. And I said thank. you and she said where are you heading? And I said I just live up here on. Glencoe and she goes get in. She says. I'll drop you off.
Well, she didn't drop me off. >> [laughter]. >> Let's just say that um it turned into a. very quick. um encounter that I'm thinking as the. sun as the sunroof was open, I'm banging. this woman as we're driving through LA. >> That is hot. >> This is every dream I have ever had. >> Okay, and how old was she? >> She was 38. >> Wow, okay. So that's why. >> you got grace with me cuz I can't be.
Here's what I'm not going to do. I'm not. going to fault somebody else for [ __ ]. I've already done and that nobody knows. about. >> Yeah. >> So you know, I ended up started seeing. her. So clearly the first ride was. pretty good for her. >> So when you're Yes, Todd put [laughter]. it down. Baby Julie, can you confirm? >> I can't after 31 years. I can't. >> [laughter]. >> Um but. >> Okay, so I'm over here blushing. I'M. >> SO HAVE HAVE YOU EVER HEARD THIS STORY. BEFORE? >> I'VE heard Yes, I've heard pieces of it.
for sure. >> you've read the chapter of what cuz I. had to run it by her and say, you know, how's this going to affect you cuz I've. been very open with my kids from years. ago. >> Absolutely. >> And um. So at any rate, we were sitting in. Beverly in the Polo Lounge and this. individual came in with a bunch of other. high-profile women and Heidi What was. her name with the. >> Slice? >> No. >> [laughter]. >> No, she wasn't in business during that. time. I may have gone to work for her.
Um what was the woman who had the yellow. diamond? >> Heidi Klum. >> Heidi Klum. It was that same day and. this woman walked in and I noticed her. from a distance, but she had work done. And I wasn't about to bring it up. >> Well, we all. Hello, [laughter] we're going to talk. about. that. >> But so at any rate, I started seeing. this woman and in my 18-year-old mind, you know, she. helps me get a place to live. You know, she's she's doing things for me. And. it was one of those moments to where my.
dad knew. my mother never did. >> Right. >> And. cuz my dad would say, "Where are you. getting all this stuff?". >> [laughter]. >> And my dad was very to the point. He'd. say, "Who are you fucking?". That's what he'd say. And I said, "Daddy, I'm not doing anything. I work. all the time." Cuz I really did work at. The Cheesecake Factory. And then, in the. day, I worked at the original Banana. Republic in Santa Monica. So, I was. doing it two jobs. Not for long. >> that was short-lived. >> It was. >> So, when you say that you started seeing.
her, so you guys were It was it like a. sugar baby sugar mama relationship? Or. were you guys like actually dating? >> In my mind, we were actually dating. Um because I was 18. >> Right. >> And I remember 8 months into this. relationship, I was. watching the Academy Awards. And. she walks the red carpet with her. husband. >> Oh my god. >> And I was so devastated. That's how dumb. I was at 18. You know, I was so. devastated. >> Julie does not give a [ __ ].
>> No. [laughter]. I was so devastated because I was. thinking. Shh. She's cheating on me. >> [laughter]. >> And cuz I was that young and naive. And so, I remember seeing her that week. And you have to remember, Bunny, I had never been in a Jaguar. I had. never been in a limousine. I had never. seen anyone who had a a phone in their. car. >> Yeah. >> Uh none of that. And you know, I was my.
cousin who was married to Lyle Alzado, um lived there in Pacific Palisades. She. had all those things. And you know, her. life was very glamorous. And I wanted. all of that. Um. but I also really. kind of probably caught feelings for. this woman. >> Right. >> And was embarrassed that I could not. tell my mom and dad that I was sleeping. with someone that was 20 years older. than me cuz I knew Daddy was going to. slap the [ __ ] out of me. And um. so, when I brought it up to her, um she said to me, she said I said,
"What is going on? What Who was that man. that you were with. at the award show?". And she said, "Oh, that was my husband.". Just that very casual. "Oh, that was my. husband. [laughter]. And I said, "Your husband? Why have you never told me that?" She. said, "That's not your business.". And she then followed it up with, she. said, "We have a great thing going. Let's not mess it up.". >> Mhm. >> And I said, "What do we have going. here?" She said, "We have great sex.".
And from that moment on, I felt so. ashamed. >> Aw. >> I felt so ashamed that. >> heart was hurt. >> It was, because I felt like that that's. that that's what I was at this point. >> You were a piece of man meat? >> I I don't know that I felt used as much. as I felt foolish. >> Aw. >> That here I was catching feelings. >> Right. >> who that was not what she was in this. for. >> Right. >> And so she and I ended up seeing each. other for another month or so. I ended. it, but not, you know, hell, I fell.
right back in the same rut, because I. ended up with another woman whose. [laughter]. husband she was divorcing from, who. played for the um. Denver Broncos. >> goodness. >> And um. >> So you were like a little like a. >> I was a magnet to that. >> commodity. >> And you know, she had her vagina shaved. in the shape of a heart. >> Okay, we don't care. >> for Valentine's Day, cuz that's the. first time. >> care. >> But. >> I don't care. >> But this is [laughter] funny show. >> Okay, well, I'm glad. Julie, have you. ever shaved your vagina hair in the. shape of a heart? >> We have We have no hair.
>> No, >> [laughter]. >> I don't know what you. >> We have no hair. >> Oh. >> I'm not a cat. I don't like getting. hairballs. >> There you go. Aw. >> Um. >> You don't have to come up for air. Pick. it out of your teeth. >> But you know, when she did this, >> I know. >> when she says, "I shaved my bush in the. shape of a heart for you." And I said, "Well, I'm going to break it.". >> Aw. >> So I ended. >> So because she broke your heart, you. were like. >> No, this was the other new woman. >> saying, so [clears throat] since the. first one broke your heart, you became. like a little Casanova and started. breaking everybody else's hearts. >> Well, I was going to break her vagina, cuz it was in the shape of a heart.
>> Oh, gotcha. Okay, Todd. >> And. >> Are you packing? >> [laughter]. [gasps]. >> I got to know. Julie, Julie, are you. packing? >> cannot believe this. [laughter]. Well, I don't even drink. >> Everybody was going want to know after. this. Todd, you're blushing. Did I just. make Todd Chrisley blush? [laughter]. >> Well, I have never had a complaint. I've. never had a complaint. >> Okay, so you're like a tripod. >> It's. >> [laughter]. >> It's a two-hand job. >> Todd's got a hog. Todd's [laughter] got.
a hog. Two hands. Let's go. >> But [laughter] so, you know, I ended up. doing that and then I end up. >> [laughter]. >> going back to South Carolina just for. like a week. >> Mhm. >> End up screwing this girl who was at the. country club. She got pregnant. >> Oh, no. >> I don't know this until 6 weeks later. She gets in touch with me, tells me that. she's pregnant and that if I don't marry. her, then she's going to have an. abortion.
>> Mhm. >> And I just couldn't do that because I. just did not believe in abortion and I. for me, I felt like this is my child. >> Yeah. >> And so, I come back. We ended up getting. married because my mother shamed the. hell out of me and told me that, you. know, you should not be having sex in. outside of marriage. I'm thinking, Mama, I'm a hoe. >> [laughter]. >> I'm an escort. >> That's all you worried about me [ __ ]. some [ __ ] one time back here in the. sticks [laughter]. and you worried about and I'm laying up. getting my rent paid for [ __ ]. >> You're like, Alexa, queue Fancy by Reba.
McEntire, please. [laughter]. >> I JUST LET THAT OUT ON MY PODCAST. I FEEL LIKE THAT WHEN REBA wrote that. song, Fancy, it was about me. >> Me, too, baby. That's why I [laughter]. love We are kindred souls, I'm telling. you. >> Yes. >> So, this book is coming out when because. I can't wait to read it. >> it's going to come out. It'll be completed uh sometime early. next year, probably March. Then the. following year it'll come out. >> Oh, wow. So, we have to wait 2 years. Oh. my gosh. It's such a long time. I need. to know everything about Todd now. I. need to know everything about Todd now.
[laughter]. >> Um so, you know, that's kind of how when. I went to LA the first time, that was my. journey. >> Mhm. >> And then I ended up meet going through. that a very horrific relationship with. my the mother of my first two children. >> Mhm. >> Um cuz there was never any love there. >> Mhm. >> I was thrown into that marriage by my. own doing. >> Obligations. Self-inflicted. >> I blame no one for it. I had two.
children from that marriage. Um but I. have never been in love but with one. woman in my life and that's who I've. been married to for 30 years. >> Aw. >> Um. >> And she is a beautiful woman. >> Yes. And. >> Her spirit is just so kind and so. gentle. >> got. >> and so sweet. >> judgement for anyone. She is a good, decent, honorable human being. >> Yeah. >> And she has been the backbone of what. has elevated me to be who I am and to. move forward in my life. >> Yeah. >> And and I think that when you see a. successful man,
you need to look to who's behind over. his shoulder. >> Yes. I 100%. >> Because if there is a woman there and. that man that you're talking about is so. strong and centered, he got that from. somebody propping him up. >> Amen. You have to you breathe life into. yeah. >> That's right. >> So true though. >> Yeah. >> Absolutely. Tell me about the first time. you guys met. Like Julie, how did you. feel about him when you first laid your. eyes on Big Dong Kong over here? >> She didn't know it then. >> [laughter]. >> But she ran later.
>> Off the bed. She ran later off the bed. >> headboard. [laughter]. >> That's stupid. Um. You know, I was so young. I was just. turning 21. >> Mhm. >> Um. I was at a friend's house. He came with. his brother over there and his friend. was actually a childhood friend of his. Um so we grew up like in neighboring. towns, but he's 5 years older than me, so we didn't like go to school together. or anything like that. Um and he had. moved back to South Carolina cuz he had.
gone through this divorce and had these. two had the two kids. >> This was after his ho days. >> Yeah. >> After his ho days. >> Yes. >> Well, pretty much, I guess. >> Retired. >> She said, "I guess.". >> Pretty much, I guess. [laughter]. Um. And yeah, and so we met and I. I like to think that it was pretty. instant on both ends. On both sides. >> I have said that the moment she walked. in, Bonnie. I had never experienced that. feeling in my life. >> Aw, your souls are connecting. So cute. >> I I can remember exactly what she was.
wearing. I still have the ticket stub of. the first movie that she and I went to. see Legends of the Fall. >> Aw, so he's a romantic. >> It was the first It was the first time. she and I had ever kissed. It was the. first. >> You're really romantic or nothing. You. know, it's like an all or none. >> When's your birthday, Todd? >> April, I'm an Aries. >> Aries. >> Okay, and when's your birthday? >> Capricorn. >> You're Capricorn? Okay, I'm Capricorn. [clears throat] Aquarius. I love that. >> And so when I met her that first night, I thought she had the most gorgeous. smile I had ever seen. And the best. boobs I had ever laid my eyes on. >> I mean, I can see under this little. [laughter] these sweater puppies right.
here. >> She had great boobs and I thought, "God, she is so hot.". And I said to my friend Bill, I said, "Who is that girl?" And he said, "Don't. even try it. Her father's a preacher.". And I said, "Well, I have taken many. preacher's daughters to the Holy. Spirit.". >> Oh, making them speak in tongues, baby. >> Right there you go. And so, [laughter] he said, "Well, not. this one. Not this [clears throat] one.". And so, I pursued her. >> Sounds like Bill might have had a crush. >> [laughter]. >> on Julie and he was trying to cockblock. you. >> Well, he was you know, they were.
friends. And even though he and I had. grown up together, you know, he had. lived with us his his senior year in. high school. She worked for his family's bank. So, she was a teller there in the bank. >> Okay, got you. >> And I kept going in after that trying to. make a deposit. >> [laughter]. >> But, um you know, she and that was. before I had any money. And so, I finally just said, "Well, it. was the It was on a Wednesday because. that was a half day for her." And she. said, "So, are you ever going to ask me.
out?". >> Finally, she was like, "Okay, so what. were you thinking in this moment? He's. coming and visiting you. He's lingering. How are you feeling about him?". >> so cute. He was so handsome. But, then of course, the very logical. part of me was like, "Okay, this man's. divorced. He's got two kids. Like, you know, And know that I don't do this, right? Well, that didn't last long. So, we'll. just say that didn't last long. >> Um so, we our first date was to. Applebee's. >> Oh, I love that. >> Carolina. And it ended up we started at.
lunch and we didn't leave until after. 9:00 that night. >> Aw, you guys were just sitting and. talking the whole time? >> Yes. And from that point on, now she. wouldn't put out. So, that was a problem. for me cuz I was trashy. [laughter]. And you know, for me sex was kind of. sealing the deal. >> That was your love language. >> was my validation for me. I mean, cuz I. validated myself sexually. >> Yeah. >> And um. >> That's trauma from childhood. I was the. same way. >> There you go. And you know, cuz I went. through a time in my life to where I had.
been molested by a doctor that my mother. used to take my brother and I to as a. dermatologist. >> A dermatologist? >> Yeah. And so, for me I became very. sexually active at 14 years old. And. >> so sorry that happened. >> Listen, I There's been more people go. through that than than what I have and. have had far more severe trauma than. what I've had. >> same thing. >> And so, I don't minimize what I went. through, but I also I'm not going to. take the light from someone who. struggled with harsher things. >> I get it. >> But um she wouldn't sleep with me. And.
so, >> Why wouldn't you sleep with him, Julie? Did you know he was a hoe? >> Well, yeah, I did. >> Okay. >> [laughter]. >> Did he have a reputation around town? >> I I knew it. I knew it. We lived in a. very small town. >> Yeah. And so, were you playing hard to. get? Was it part of a long game? >> probably some of that, too. Um. >> Well, you had said that you did not. trust me. >> Right. >> didn't trust that I was sincere. >> Right. >> And this is how. >> just come out of a divorce. So, you. know, I'm like. Okay, he's like, "I'm going to settle.
down. He's going to you know, he's going. to do his thing." cuz he he got married. so early, so young, you know, and had a. baby right away. So, I'm like, "This. guy's not going to settle down." you. know. >> And the irony of it is is that. so, she's I'm not having sex with you, whatever. So, then of course I go out. And I've never had a drop of alcohol in. my life. Never drank, never done a drug. Sex was my drug. And so I end up hooking up with this. girl that I thought was really hot.
>> And after the date with Julie? >> Well, after we'd been dating I think for. probably about 3 months. Two or three. months. >> were horny by that time. >> Well, yeah. I mean you can only jack off. so much. >> Yeah, yeah, exactly. >> Well, I mean [laughter] it just it just. is what it is. And so. >> It's a guy thing. >> And so I ended up going out, meeting up. with this girl who was beautiful. And I. ended up going back to her place and we. had sex. Well, I'm never going to talk. about that. >> Yeah. >> that was sex. >> Yeah. >> I'm still pursuing this one right here. because I I was in love with her.
>> Okay. >> And. my in my mind then, she didn't feel the. same way about me cuz if she did, she. would have sex with me. >> Right. >> how I related it. >> Right. >> But I remember going to pick her up to. go to the lake. on the weekend. And she's sitting there. on this deck with these cut-off jean. shorts, this bathing suit top, and these the. most beautiful boobs ever. And um. as I pull up, I see this other girl sitting there on.
the. deck as well. >> Oh, the one you just banged. >> Yeah, cuz she was a part of the friend. group. >> Oh. >> just didn't know. >> Oh, no, Todd. >> And I didn't When I pulled up, walked. [laughter] up, >> [gasps]. >> I wanted to just I wanted to just. vaporize. >> Cool. Yeah, crawl into a hole. >> And she's looking at me and and she. goes, "Hey." And she gets up and gives. me a kiss. The other one sitting there. And I said, "Hey, how are you?" And she. goes, >> [laughter]. >> "I'm good. How are you?" So we get in.
the car and as we're backing out, she. goes, "When did you sleep with her?". >> [gasps]. >> Okay, so did she tell you or did you. just you picked up on the vibes? >> She knew. She said, "When did you sleep. with her?". >> close attention to people. >> And I lied. >> can read them like a book. >> You read energy. >> Yes, I lied. I rode that lie to the. gates of hell cuz I wasn't telling. nothing. And they But women will tell their. business. >> Yes. >> So then this. >> This Yeah. >> This chick goes to. >> This chick goes and tells her bestie.
>> Yeah. >> that I had screwed her. Her bestie tells. her, "Well, you know he's just he's. doing he's just screwing everything that. walks or whatever." And so, she called. me that night and she goes, "We need to. talk.". And I said, "What's up?" And she goes, "This thing that you and I have is not. going to continue.". >> Aw. >> She's And I said, "What are you talking. about?" She said, "I know about what you. did with blah blah blah blah." And she. said, "And if you don't have any more. respect for me than to do that." She. says, "I have enough respect for myself. to distance myself.".
>> Let's go, baby. Let's go. >> I said. >> you put a man in check. >> And I was so pissed off cuz I had never. had anyone [laughter] to do that to me. >> Yeah. >> And I was like, "Who the [laughter] [ __ ] are you?". "Who are you to sit and tell me this. shit?". >> know exactly who I am. And we're done. talking about that. We got more [ __ ] to. talk about [laughter] than your trashy. past. >> So, long story short, going back going. back to that, Julie would not have anything to do with. me for months.
>> Aw. And during that time, what were you. doing, Julie? >> Working. >> Working. >> Yeah, I'm just not worried about him. >> No. >> Okay, good for you. >> doing her. >> wouldn't walk away from that. >> Mhm. And I had to beg her. >> Yeah. >> had to go and say, "Listen, just give me one more chance, and I give. you my word that we will set the. parameters here, and I will abide by. them, and I will do what I need to do in. order to rise to your level.". >> Mhm. >> And from that point on, I have never.
stepped away from her. >> Aw. >> And I don't like to say that I cheated. because I mean, that was before there. was a ring. >> Yeah. So, and and how long have you guys. been married? How many years? >> Uh 30. We've been married 30. >> 30 years. >> for 32. >> And 32. Yeah. >> And you guys have you neither one of you. have ever been with anybody else since. then. >> Wow, I love that. What do you guys think. the secret [clears throat] is to your. marriage that makes it work? >> I think that I married I think that I. outkicked my coverage. And I look at. that every day and I look at her.
[clears throat] and say, "God, thank. you." Because she has been a loyal, faithful woman. She has been an. exceptional mother, an amazing wife. She. has built a home for us. I work every. day, but she has built the home for us. And. so when a man feels safe to go do what. he needs to do because you've got a. woman holding it down at home, then that. allows you to become bigger and better. and hopefully more prosperous. >> Yeah. But it doesn't mean that I was. this just, you know, barefoot and. pregnant woman sitting at home either,
you know, I had a career and then we. built the show together. Um but I also. think that. for me, I from the very beginning, I was. like, "This marriage is going to work.". Because it's not always been easy, you. know, I mean, we had two children that. he brought into the marriage. immediately. Then I got pregnant with. Chase very quickly, had Savannah 14. months later, Grayson 9 years later, we. had a prison sentence, we had, you know,
a granddaughter that we adopted as a. baby. So we had a lot of [ __ ] Like. we've had a lot of stuff and it that has. gone on in the public eye. But I always said, you know, "I'm not. going to walk away.". You know, and so I think because there. have been many times where it would have. been easy for us to throw our hands up, right? And been like, "Okay, I'm done.". >> And I think that's that's what people. don't understand when it comes to like. real relationships, especially being in. the public eye. There's so much. pressure, there's so much scrutiny,
there's so much [ __ ] that goes on behind. closed doors that people don't know. about and literally to wake up every day. and say, "I choose you." That is like. the most beautiful gift that you can. ever give to your person and like really. choose them even in the moments that you. don't like them. >> Yeah. >> There's so many times I've been like, "I. don't like you, but I love you and I'm. going to ride or die with this with. you." Yeah. >> Absolutely. Absolutely. >> And you know, and I think that for us, you know, and and speaking from from. myself on this right now, I think that you know when someone is.
there for the right reasons and you know. where the commitment level is. >> Yes. >> And. I had a lot of [ __ ] in my head when. Julie got me and I was a fighter. You. know, like I would say the most foul. things and like [ __ ] you and you know, she'd never heard any of this. You know, her parents are, you know, Southern Baptist and she grew up in the. church her whole life. Her father's been. in the pulpit her whole life and she had. never heard her father speak. poorly to her mother, raise his voice to.
her. Her mother had fixed his plate, fixed his glass of tea before everyone. else ate. She fixed his plate. She had. led that that life. Well, Julie started. out with me that way and I said, "You. don't need to fix my plate." And she. said, "But I want to.". But for me, I felt like I don't want her. feeling like that she's having. to be less than a man to do this. >> It's more of a love language though. I. do the same way. >> That's what she said. And so. for me, Julie became a safety.
that I had never felt. And once you find that safety to where. when you lay down at night and close. your eyes and you know when you wake up. tomorrow morning that same person that. made you feel so comfortable to get to. get rest tonight is going to be who you. see the first time the first thing. That for me was very healing. >> Yes. >> And she took a lot of anger away from me. that I had from my childhood. >> Yeah. >> So she removed a lot of that anger. Now. she's caused a lot of anger for me. He. pissed me off a lot of times.
>> I mean, he has me too. >> I'm [laughter]. sure. >> But I don't argue with him. You know, he. loves for somebody to argue like if you. argue with him, oh my gosh, that just. fuels him. >> It's sport for me. >> Yeah, they want to yeah. >> And I don't do that. I've never done. that because it doesn't end well. You. know, I mean, he does have a mouth. >> Right. Very [laughter] very. sharp tongue. >> And I learned real quickly that that. doesn't end well. And I I'm just like, "Okay. Say whatever you're going to. say.". >> But he that. He needs that because he. >> If you fight fire with fire, then the.
flame just becomes bigger but if you. smother the fire, it smolders. >> has been able to do that all of these. years. She's been able to do that. >> that. >> And. so now the fire in me, it's still there. >> Of course. It'll always be there. >> raging. >> Right. >> To where before it was full wildfire. mode. >> It's contained. >> Yes. >> Yeah. And you guys are just a happy. little campground. >> Yes, very much so. >> I love that. All right, so let's pivot. really quick. I want to talk about. something that had me cracking up. Todd, you were in your diss track era.
>> Ah! >> Big I'm big as a house boat, [ __ ] We. watched that video and we were cracking. up. So like is reality TV not enough? Now you want to be a rapper and like a. singer? What's happening? Are we getting. like Grammys or you know? >> You know. >> It was um again, I have learned to. fight differently today. >> Right. >> Um to where before I would just slap the. [ __ ] out of you cuz I love to physically. fight. >> So I I saw something that said that. today and that actually caught me by.
surprise because I I would have never. have gotten that from you. Have you. actually beat somebody up before? >> times. >> Yeah. Did you Did you beat them up in. prison, too? >> No, I never had that problem. >> Oh, you were probably like can't one. incident. >> I had one. uh yes, one incident with uh Rick Singer. who was the snitch on the um college uh. scam. >> Scandal. >> The college scandal. >> Oh, wow. How did you know? >> the one who sent [ __ ] uh Aunt Becky. to prison. >> Oh my gosh. Lori Loughlin. >> Yeah, and you know, I've always thought.
she was hot. >> Hot. >> And um and she looks really good now. that she's going through this divorce. >> Yeah, I mean everybody gets a glow-up. post-divorce. >> Yes. >> [laughter]. >> And so um. you know, Rick Singer was there with me. and um he was talking [ __ ] and. he came down to my pod and he goes the. first day I got there. And he goes um. ah, he says I'm Rick I said I know who. you are. And he goes um. I just wanted to let you know that I'm.
here if you want to talk or anything. He. says I'm working on my book. And he said. and he just wanted to get your thoughts. And I said, well, I hope that you don't". I said, "I hope your first chapter" I. says, "includes you being the biggest. snitch in America.". And everyone in my pod went. And when I walked out, this one guy came. up to me and goes, "Motherfucker, I'm riding with you." And. I just I just just shook my head cuz I. didn't know what that meant at that. point. And um so, 3 months later, he's. out in the library and he's saying some.
[ __ ] about Savannah, you know, and you. know, her fighting for a you know, an a. a pardon for us and whatever. And so, I just walked up to him and I. told him I said, "Listen, I'm not about [ __ ]. You can say what you need to say about. me if it makes you feel good, but you. better keep my daughter and my other. children and my wife's name out of your. mouth. because we're already in prison camp. I will elevate our custody level and. beat your ass from one end of this camp.
to the next.". And I've not said anything I you know, he denied all of it. So then, there was. a second round of that same [ __ ] and. then I just put him up against the wall. and I said, "I will rip your head off. and [ __ ] down your neck. I'm not playing. with you.". >> [laughter]. >> Julie, how does that make you feel? >> Well, you know, >> I've had people come and tell her the. story. >> was worried. I was like, "Oh my gosh, you know?" Because we got there, right? And we had no communication. Like we. couldn't talk. Uh we had an email, but. it was email through prison, you know, prison email. >> everything.
>> And so, here I am worried. I'm like, "Oh. my gosh, you know, I hope he's okay." Um. you know, I'm I'm worried about what. he's going to eat and you know, I I here. I was just all worried about everything. And then his friends are like, "Why were you worried?" Like he was. running the whole place. Like he could. have been like behind the fence. He. could have been in maximum security and. he'd have been fine because everybody. loved him, you know? And with the men, it's a little more segregated and. they're like, "But with Todd, it. wasn't." Puerto Ricans loved him,
Mexicans loved him, blacks loved him, whites loved him, like. >> Todd, tell me the truth. Did you stab. somebody when you first walked in there. and just set the precedent? >> [laughter]. >> When I tell you I never had a I never. had an unkind word with anyone other. than him. >> Aw. >> Um I worked out with the Puerto Ricans, the the Mexicans, the blacks, the. whites. Um. I had a great I had a great relationship. with all of them. I'm still friends with. everyone that I was there with. I stay. in contact with them. I put money on. their commissary accounts. Um and I have helped 1,400 people get.
home under the F- under the First Step. Act since I got out just by them. properly calculating correctly. And um. so I didn't I didn't have a She had a. far worse experience because she got. nothing. >> Right. >> I was able to hire staff members there. that were CEOs. I put them on my payroll. and I paid them to bring me my food, to. give me my cell phone, and they would. put it up at night and hide it for me. >> I never saw a phone for 28 months.
>> She's a rule follower. She's boring. >> So Julie, your prison stay was And we're. going to get back to your dis track era, too, but I just wanted to zero in on the. prison stuff. So your prison stay was a. lot worse than his. >> Yes. >> Yes. >> And and first of all, I just want to say. the the the prison system is [ __ ] I. have have friends who have gone through. it. It's so sad what they do to these. people once you are in the system. It is. absolutely horrific. It really is. And. the fact that you guys had to go through.
this. Like I I watched the whole thing. and I watched Savannah go to bat for you. guys. And man, my heart was bleeding for. you guys. >> It was crazy. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So I was in Lexington, Kentucky. And where I was, it was a facility that. was over 100 years old. It had been a. mental institution like back in the day. And then the state condemned the. building. So literally they it was back. they had a poppy field that was there. when they believed it they could. actually cure people of drug addiction.
>> Like heroin? >> Yes. The poppy. And then they would do. the lobotomies. And so. >> if I ever have to go. >> They Now I've closed it down. >> So there were. there were these windows and they would. literally sit the women in these windows. or sit the the not just women men to in. these windows after they did the the. lobotomy because it gave them the. sunlight which was supposed to help. them. Um so it was just really dark and. you know the energy the energy there had. to be crazy cuz you're an Efil energy.
too so I can only imagine. The energy. was was definitely off in the building. and. you know it was just different like I. never saw a cell phone. >> He had a cell phone from the moment he. got there. >> Three days after I got there. >> Why do you think they treat women like. that and men like that? >> Cuz women are their own worst enemies. They turn on each other. >> Yeah. >> Men will stick together. Women will not. >> It really is it is the truth because. it is because you would think that okay. you're all in there together right? And. Todd has said many times prison is the.
greatest equalizer that we have in this. country because when you walk through. those doors right? You're no different. than anybody else. You're. wearing the same outfits. You're doing. right? Um but women it's just this. cattiness and you know if they thought. you had one thing more than they had you. know. it was crazy. They were more they would. just I don't know men just just move. different. >> You know we guys guys where at my camp.
we stuck together. And when I ordered my food I bought food. for everyone in my in my pod. >> Yeah. >> Um. >> So they all got Chick-fil-A. >> [laughter]. >> Were you allowed to order food out? >> No you're not allowed. You're not. allowed. This was just. it just felt right for me to do that. >> Chick-fil-A. He had Colbert. >> He got away with murder in prison. What. the [ __ ] dude? >> He had his he had his hair paste. >> to a country he got his hair what? >> He had a his own hair paste.
>> Well I had cuz I use Kevin Murphy hair. paste. >> Tell me. >> And so they brought it in to me. >> Did you braid your hair while you were. in prison? >> I've never had long hair. >> [laughter]. >> You would have. but you know we just didn't we had a. camaraderie and that camaraderie has. continued to exist because it was built. on a bonding. >> Yeah. >> of hurt, of frustration, of hopes, of. dreams. >> And also, you have I have some of those. same. >> This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Y'all know how easy it is to get stuck.

That's betterhlep.com/bunny. >> Some of those same people, right? >> Yeah. >> I bonded with a lot of people because it. is so different than being out, right? Because. where I was, it was a small camp, so it. was basically one building. So, you. slept there, you ate there, you.
worked there. You did everything. together. So, you know, you might have a. friend out here and we might see them. once a week or once a month or whatever, but you were with them 24/7, literally. >> being in school. Right. It's like being. in school and you see the same people. every day. >> Yes. >> But mine was a poor boarding school. I. didn't get I didn't get the first class. boarding school. I got the best freaking. Chick-fil-A. >> Well, which was better than what she. had. >> And Culvers and [laughter] Olive Garden. and. >> Culvers, Olive Garden, Pizza Hut. >> Yeah, none of that. Nothing. I had not. one ounce of outside food.
>> What does somebody in prison order from. Olive Garden? I need to know. >> Well, I got this like trio thing that they got. me one time, but I didn't like it. >> Yeah. >> Cuz I had never had it before. >> [laughter]. >> So, they said, "Oh, let's do Olive. Garden." I said, "Okay. What is What is that going to be?" And. they tell me I said, "Okay." And so, they brought it to me and I'm like, "Mhm, I don't want to do this anymore.". >> So, before you went to prison, you never. had Olive Garden? >> Mhm. No, he never he never mhm. >> That is a that's a blessing for me. >> after we got out, we went we were.
visiting a friend and uh he said, "Pull. over. Let's go to Culvers." And I said, "Culvers? You've never been to Culvers, right? Ever? Like ever never?" And he. said, "Oh, I had it all the time when I. was away.". >> And you're over here like, "What the. fuck?" You know, "I'm literally eating. slop and you're over here eating. freaking Olive Garden and Culvers.". >> Yes. But. >> Yeah, it true story. >> These guards where I was, they wanted that hookup. You know, they. wanted to make money.
>> Of course. >> And so, when the one approached me and I. said, "Dude, you are so hired.". >> Yeah. >> [laughter]. >> You are so hired. >> You're like the little mafia boss that. was. >> He really was. >> I mean, listen, some of my buddies that. met met you and they're like, "Julie, I ain't never seen nothing like it in my. life.". They said, "Everyone was lined up the. day he came in. They were lined up. waiting to see him and whatever." And. said hell, a week later, he's got him in. there redoing the dorm. He's got him.
bringing [laughter] in spa sheets for. him. And. >> Spa sheets? Were you giving them like. style advice in there or did anyone give. you style advice? >> because she was this bull dagger dyke. [ __ ] that I hated. >> I feel like the wardens are always the. worst, too. >> Yeah, she was and she was like again, my. thing is is that if you're a lesbian, I'm down with that. >> Yeah. >> But be a lipstick lesbian. >> Yeah. Yeah. Don't. >> Don't be a bull dagger dyke. >> [laughter]. >> Why? But I think some of the masks are. hot though. >> No, I don't. I think it's confusing.
>> [laughter]. >> Um but you know, I just think it's. confusing. I don't understand that if. you as a woman. are attracted to a. woman. >> Mhm. >> you should be attracted to the feminine. qualities of that woman. If you're. attracted to a woman who looks like a. dude and acts like a dude, then really. you would just want dick and you're not. getting it. >> Yeah, but I mean maybe. I understand. your point there too, but there are some. lesbians like Ruby Rose. Like how. freaking hot is she? She's hot. >> Yeah. >> Gorgeous. She's. >> He doesn't know anybody. Sorry. >> to look her up. She's gorgeous and she's.
>> killed her baby's daddy or something? >> No, that's Gypsy Rose. And she didn't. kill him. He died of an [laughter]. overdose. Oh. Oh my god. I understand what you're saying. But. okay, so you hated the warden. >> Um I did not like Sherry Salisbury. Let. me put this [laughter] bitch's name out. there like I do every week. Um you know, she came in. >> was named after a freaking frozen steak. >> Steak, exactly. [laughter]. >> I couldn't expect much. >> in his ass, all right.
>> I couldn't [laughter] expect much. >> Why? But she came in and and the bitch's. wig was was cockeyed on her head. >> Oh, no. >> And so she had this wig on and she she. looked like a lime popsicle when she. came in [laughter] her first day. And she. >> wig green? >> No, but she was this black woman who. just was like a bull dagger. >> Right. [laughter]. >> And so she and she had a man suit on. and this fake Gucci belt. Well, you now. know. how to spot a knockoff.
>> Yeah, yeah. >> And so I passed her on the sidewalk. And. this was her first day coming in cuz I. was already there before she got there. And she looked at me and I said, "Good. afternoon." and kept right on walking. cuz I have nothing to say to her. And so she calls me down to her office. like 3 days later and she said, "Mr. Chrisley, do you know why I called you. to my office?" And I said, "You missed. me?". And she said, "No.". She says, "I'm surprised for a man who's.
been written up in so many fashion. magazines that you didn't compliment my. Gucci belt the other day.". And I looked at her and I said, "But. it's not real. It's a knockoff.". And she said, "My belt is real." And I. said, "If you believe that, then you. should go back to who sold it to you, because it's mine.". I said, "But you did. you did have on my shoes.". >> [laughter]. >> And. >> You're like, "If I have to find. something. >> Right. >> dig deep.". >> Exactly. So, that So, I gave her that.
one. And so, then she started, you know, thinking that we were going to It. started out kind of like, you know, she. was wanting to be friends. But then I started calling her out. because she was so prejudiced. against any man. It didn't matter if. they were black, white, Puerto Rican, or. whatever. >> Mhm. >> She hated any man. And so, I started. >> why she got into that position of. sticking to control. >> Exactly. Which makes you wonder what's. in that What's going on upstairs there? >> Right.
>> So, she and I fought the entire time, and then her ass got She was forced to. retire after I got out, and then I went. and told everything and provided all the. documentation on her. >> Yeah. >> [laughter]. >> Her ass was uninvited to the Bureau of. Prisons. >> So, okay. So, you got mad and this is just me. asking an innocent question. You got mad. at Rick Singer for snitching, but do you. feel like telling on her was a form of. snitching? >> No, cuz I told on you, [ __ ] I've. already told you I told on you. [laughter]. Um. >> But do you feel like you were saving.
everybody in that prison from her? >> I did. I did. Uh the camp was closed. down. >> Yes. Oh, wow. >> Um All of their All of those guys there, their um time sheets were updated and. done correctly. She was not doing any of. that. >> He truly was and has been an advocate. for. all the all men and women that. >> Just her cruelty and her abuse. >> Well, she I I watched her abuse these. guys. I watched her go in and tear their. tear their rooms up, throw their food. out on the floor, flip their beds just. to show that she could do it.
>> Got you. >> And so, when I started watching how she. rolled, I thought, "Okay." So, then I. told one of the COs that I was paying, I. said, "I need 12 pens that have. recorders on them. I'm going to record. this [ __ ] for what she's doing to these. men.". >> Wow. >> So, I planted that [ __ ] out there. We. got the footage of her and I turned it. over to Savannah. >> Good for you. >> And Savannah got. There has There has been 19 people that. have lost their jobs. >> Wow. >> And you don't get rid of people in the. federal government. >> No. >> unless you can prove what the hell you.
what they done. >> Yes. Yes. >> So, it should tell you that if 19 people. have been walked out of the Bureau of. Prisons, some facing criminal charges, that I had the goods on them. >> Good for you. Good for you. That's. amazing because they really like I was. saying before when we started this. conversation about the prison, they need. an advocate like you. They need a voice. like you guys. >> And I'm in it every bunny. I'm in it. every day. >> right. >> it every day. I work with the um. >> Let me know what I can do to help. I.
would love to help. >> I work with a guy named Rick with Rick. who is with um. >> Stover. >> the Bureau of Prisons. He's Rick Stover. He's over the First Step Act. And he has been such a blessing and he. and I kind of butted heads in the. beginning, but then when I started. showing him what they were doing, he. said, "Yeah, that's not right.". And then he stepped in and started. cleaning it up. And because of Rick, there's been over 1,400 men and women. to have recalculations done that are now. sitting at home with their loved ones. >> That's not anything that's been given to.
them, but what they've actually earned. >> they've earned and what they deserve. >> The First Step Act, which, you know, is. a law. >> And you have a wonderful director of the. Bureau of Prisons for the first time in. the history is is William Marshall. Um he has been a wonderful man when it. comes to looking at this from a human. perspective. >> Right. Well, I think for the first time. it's being seen that, "Okay, a prison, you're sentenced, you're whatever, you've been found guilty, you've a. plead, whatever. You are in prison for a.
certain amount of time, but it is not. their job every day to punish you. >> Right. >> It is their job. >> is to be there. >> Your punishment is to be there. It is. their job to make sure that you are. educated if you come in there without a. high school diploma, that you are being. rehabilitated, that you are safe. You. know, those are the things and and so. many times so many of these people, they. think that it is their life's mission. just to punish you every single day, you. know, and it's. >> And you know, it was so.
>> The whole experience was so humbling. Because we would have never met these. people that were in these prisons. >> Right. >> so humbling to realize that I'm sitting. here. sharing a Snicker bar with someone who. can't buy one. And them talking about their kids and. how they've not seen them in 3 years or. how they, you know, that this is what really happened and. when you hear these stories and you. start researching the case, you realize. this guy was railroaded because he had. no money for an attorney.
>> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> And you know, you look at these young. kids of color that are in here that are. truly, anyone that says, listen, I'm a Republican, I don't make. any bones about it, I always have been, I've always been a conservative, but. I've always kind of ridden in the middle. of the road. >> Mhm. >> Um I believe in certain things and then. other I'm not left, I'm not right, but. I'm right in the center. >> But you believe in right and wrong. >> But I believe in right and wrong and I. believe that the God that I serve, when I meet my maker, I don't want him. to say, why did you mistreat this. person? Why did you not feed your.
brother when he was hungry? Why did you. not clothe him when he was naked? >> Yes. >> And these young kids coming into the. system and you've got staff members that. would put them in refusal status. Now, refusal status means you're not getting. your credits to reduce your sentence. They would just throw them in there. because they didn't want to do their. job. >> Right. And they just get lost in the. >> And they get lost in the system. >> And you know, and I think a lot of. people don't realize even I remember. after we were. sentenced, I one of my attorneys said,
"Ms. Chrisley, you're going to be fine.". >> You're going to a camp. >> You're going to a camp. It's going to be. people just like you. >> It's not. >> It's not. >> And it was more with me than her. >> saying I'm any better than anybody else. cuz like I said, I view myself when I. walk through those doors, I am no better. than anybody else walking in this room. But it is not just white-collar. criminals, right? It is people from all. walks of life. Now, because we were at a. camp, no violent offenders. But. >> No sexual offenders. >> It was a lot of um,
you know, drug offenders, right? It was. a lot of drug dealers, a lot of people. that had gotten caught with drugs and. and that had been in what we call real. prison, you know, behind the fence. prison, and they had make made their way. to a camp. So, you know, you're thrown. in with a lot of different people from. completely different back backgrounds. than what you're used to, right? Um, and. I have to say some of those are my. dearest friends to this day. You know, I. have my We both say we had our kids in. there because at the end of the day, we.
had been parents longer than we had been. anything else, right? We had been. parents since we were 21 years old. Um, so. I use that, right? Cuz that's what I. know. So, I was able to take these these. girls that were, you know, in their 30s. or even in their 40s, but so many of. them emotionally, you know, >> We're not that same age. >> Right. And I feel like so many people in. the when they're in the throes of. addiction, you know, at some point. because of trauma and because of things. that have happened, they kind of quit.
maturing emotionally. >> Yes, ma'am. >> You know, so they I viewed them as my. kids, right? And and that's how they. view me. I still to this day I get. >> They call her Mama Jay. >> Mother's Day cards and I get birthday. cards, you know, and I take care of them. as well. Um, and try, you know, try to help them when. they do get out, you know? And so many. of these young girls, you know, >> They have nowhere to go. >> They have nowhere to go. Um, you know, they a lot of them dated a drug dealer, they got caught up in it. You know, I. had one my one of my girls, she, you.
know, her husband wore wire. And you. know, they were both doing the same. thing, but he wore a wire on her. And. you know, she got sentenced to 15 years. in prison. >> Wow. >> And he got nothing. >> Wow. >> did get he did get prison time, but not. as much as she did. >> But Nici Bunny, that goes back to what. we were talking about earlier about how. did how did I get to do all the things. that I did versus her doing nothing? Because women don't take care of women. And it's so sad because now let's just.
talk a little bit about kind of where. you've been in your life. You look at how many of the negative. comments that have been made about you. have been made by women. >> Right. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, no, it's crazy. >> the men. The men might say that dumb. [ __ ] hoe. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> Okay, that's as far as. >> called me a [ __ ] the other day or. yesterday and I was like, don't talk to. me like that. I liked it. >> [laughter]. >> I just said, stop flirting with me. >> Yeah, yeah, exactly. >> But I mean, you know, guys, they're just. not articulate enough to or they just.
don't give a [ __ ] enough. >> Right. Right. >> to do that. >> emotional. Women are more emotional and. they want to hurt. >> And here's the thing about it is that. you've got women saying you're a [ __ ]. But they they have [ __ ] 50 men. >> Mhm. >> and are in church on Sunday for free. >> Yes. Yes. >> [ __ ] own something. >> [laughter]. >> Yes. >> I'm it's the same thing as people. commenting today cuz you know, Savannah. released today that you know, she's. pregnant. >> And that one of the comments said, this.
[ __ ] banging a billionaire. And I went. back and I said, better than banging. somebody in the breadline. >> Yeah. >> [laughter]. >> Yeah. >> So, I mean, which is is insane at the. women and the comments that they will. make. Stop as a woman going out here and. fighting for equal rights, fighting. saying that women are being. discriminated. [ __ ] you are. discriminating against your own people. >> Yes, yes. It's so true. >> than you know, yes, you've heard.
negative things about us, I've heard. negative things about you, and yet here. we're sitting together. Because I choose to do business with and. to be friends with people that I trust. and that I have something in common. with. >> Yes, but also you it's like people can. say whatever they want about somebody. online. You don't really know that. person. >> Until you sit down with them. Absolutely are as a person. >> Absolutely so true. >> I could never leave a bad comment on. somebody's page ever because I just I.
one I'm not like that, but two I have to. be in your energy. Let me shake your. hand. Let me hug you and then I can form. an opinion, you know. >> Exactly. And I have never I they get on. to me all the time. >> She has never read comments. >> I've never read comments since the very. beginning of our show, right? Never read. comments. Like I don't need to hear you. say this [ __ ] is fat. Okay, I knew I. was fat. I didn't need you telling me. that, right? And. I just never have. Like would they say. something about Todd or they he's like. and he gets sometimes he gets all in his.
feelings and I'm like. >> Why do they want this tripod? >> I'm like why do you care? They don't. even know you, right? Like And. >> But like I don't care. >> that make you feel when everybody is. always hurling gay accusations at you? >> That has never bothered me. That never. bothered me in the beginning um because. A I know what I do. >> Yeah. >> Not that if you're gay that it matters. to me cuz I don't give a [ __ ] and I. understand why you would look at me and. want this. I get that. >> [laughter]. >> But at the end of the day it's not now. is it something that I that I would ever.
do? It just depends on if one of my kids. was ever in trouble or you know, I. didn't have a lot of money or. >> Have you ever been with a man or have. you ever No, never. Yeah. >> I've been propositioned, you know, by. people in Hollywood. >> only asking because you were you were. escorting in Hollywood. >> have to remember in '86 that really. wasn't a that really wasn't as big as. what it is today. It was man and woman. Um so no, that's never bothered me. And. I have raised my children with the. understanding that it's not what someone. calls you, it's what you answer to. >> Mm react and they own you. I kind of say.
the same thing. Yes. >> And so I don't I don't I don't give you. that. And you know, And irony of it is. is that. I think that both political parties are. are hypocrites. Because you've got the Democrats over. here and the the liberals. shouting, you know, for. for gay marriage and for transgender. equality, but yet they're the first ones. that will try to out a Republican. Then you got the Republicans over here.
saying no to no to gay marriage, no to. this, no to that. And they're in gay relationships. That's hypocrisy on the on both sides. My thing is and it's always been. do what makes you feel good. >> Yes. As long as you're not hurting. people. and you're leading with love, I truly. believe that if you Jesus wants us to. lead with love. That's what he did his. entire. >> lifetime on earth. >> adults, what you choose to do with the.
ladle of the town [ __ ]. >> I mean and honey, he [laughter] turned. water into wine. He had a party trick. >> Exactly. Right? >> So, I'm like he couldn't have been that. bad of a guy. >> I feel like I am walking with the Lord. all the time. I am doing his work. God. and Todd. >> There you go. God and Todd, baby. I love. >> So, you know, at the end of the day, I. don't care what. I care less about what you call me and. more about why you're hurting so bad. that you felt the need to do that. >> That's a different level of healed and. healing. I don't ever believe that we're. all fully healed, but that's a different.
level of healing is when you can. actually look at somebody who's trying. to hurt you and see that they're also. hurting. >> Yes. And you know, that's. and that's happened today, you know, like with Savannah which which should be. one of the most beautiful and it is the. most beautiful time of her life. >> Yeah. >> Yes, you know, is. you know, you've got all these comments, "Oh, she's having a child out of. wedlock." Is she? >> [laughter]. >> Is she Bonnie having Is she having a. child out of wedlock? >> Let's talk about it.
>> Um you know, at the end of the day, Savannah's story is her story to tell. And. do we know everything? Yes, we're her. parents. Um, and do we celebrate her and and and. her announcement today? We do. I'm. tickled to death and can't hardly wait. to get my grand baby. Um. >> I feel like that's like you guys have. been waiting for Savannah to get. pregnant. >> cannot wait to hold this baby and it's. and she called her mom and she said, "Mom,
do not let dad tell Bunny what I'm. having. That [laughter] is my story.". And so I. >> That was my next question. >> She said, "Do not let daddy tell Bunny.". And I said, um, "But you know, I'm. thrilled." Now, let's address the. elephant in the room. Let's, you know, because we did our pod I did a podcast. with Savannah and Savannah started. asking me these What was it? Top topic. hot topic questions or something and I. think that you can't you came up in. that. And.
Savannah said she didn't understand it. with a younger guy. Clearly she does not. understand dating younger. >> [laughter]. >> I She's dating an older man, right? Is. the guy that. >> she dating or is she engaged or is she. married? >> Right. So, I guess I mean, you. >> [laughter]. >> let me know. I would like to know. Can. you What can you tell us, Todd? >> I I think that all the haters out there. that have talked [ __ ] today is going to. >> nervous. He's rubbing his hands. >> Yeah, he's. >> [laughter]. >> I think I think that all of the the. haters that have commented this morning. about Savannah's life. is going to go back and start deleting.
when she releases the rest of her story. next week. >> So, I guess we can assume cuz her story. is going to be uh it's everywhere today. Um, she's married? >> [laughter]. >> Let's just say this, she did very well. with what she has done. >> Aw. [laughter]. >> And um Can we get a hint of who the man. is? >> Um, you know, he is he is older. He's 20. years older. He is. >> Um, and it was not a it was not.
something that I embraced. >> Not at all? >> I was I mean, to the point that I had a. choice to make. It was either embrace my. daughter's decision or lose my daughter. >> Aw. >> And nothing is ever coming between me. and my daughter. I love Savannah with my. heart and soul. Um but did I advocate for this? No. But I will tell you that there's a lot. of um.
he has treated her with the utmost of. respect. Um he has never had children. He's. divorced. Um. for many years. Um. went through a very difficult time in. his life and that's their story to tell. but went through a very difficult time. in his life. Um and. to watch how she's treated on a daily. basis. And he came to me as my generation would. cuz he is of my generation. I say that.
you know she said she'll have 20 years. with him and I'll retire with him in the. assisted living. >> [laughter]. >> Um but. the. he came to me, he asked for her hand in. marriage. And. I said to him, I said you do understand. that she may be the only love that you. claim you've ever had but you won't be. her only love. And did it was I not Was I I was that. honest? >> He was that honest. >> I said but you won't be her only love. And he said well it's my job while I am.
to make sure she never forgets it. And Savannah sat and cried with me and. she said I would rather have 20 years of. everything than 50 years of nothing. And how do you go against it at that. point? Because she's going to do what. she's going to do and no matter how much. she respects me or respects her mother. when your heart wants what it wants. if you have been raised by parents that. have made you feel safe and secure and.
loved you know you can. kind of. stretch that to get to where you need to. get to because you know where your safe. landing. and if it ended tomorrow. it's already been a blessing because my. daughter knows what she what how she's. supposed to be treated. >> Savannah's an old soul and you. >> She was never going to be with somebody. younger. You know, she was with Nick for. 4 and 1/2 years. They got engaged and I. have said that Savannah stayed in that.
engagement for me. Because I think she knew early on that. this is not where she wanted to be and. this is not what she was going to do. But she did not want to come to me and. say. Cuz you know, she was in she accepted. her engagement on television. And I think she and she has said as much. that it was had it not been for. disappointing me, it would have ended. sooner than it did. And I feel bad for that as a father that. my daughter, although I loved Nick and.
Nick was my he was my chosen one and was. the greatest kid one of the greatest. kids in the world. I would rather have my daughter's. happiness than someone else's. >> Yeah. >> And I don't want my daughter to ever. feel like that if she [ __ ] up. that daddy's going to walk away from me. And because that's not going to happen. I'm not going to walk away from any of. them. Now, some of them I don't talk to. because I don't get along with them. But. >> But that doesn't mean you don't love. them. >> Doesn't mean I don't love all of them. I.
love every one of them. And every one of. them knows if they get their ass between. a rock and a hard spot, they can come. home and they can call their daddy. But. I don't believe that blood bonds you for. life. I believe that blood is a common. denominator. It's DNA. I believe what bonds you for for life is. commonality. Safety. Um knowing that you're loved and. protected. That bonds you for life.
And just because you're family doesn't. mean you always have that. Now, I love my children. And I love each and every one of them. differently. You know, people have said. forever that Savannah's Todd's chosen. child or whatever. And I That's just not true. Do I love. her with all of my heart and soul? Yes, and would lay down and die for her, but. I would lay down and die for her. siblings as well. Each child gives you something. different.
Savannah has always given me. the security of knowing she was going to. do the right thing or she's going she's. going to do everything in her power to. do the right thing. Chase has always. given me. this larger-than-life personality of. just love and. he's so funny and I say he's the only. star in the family because he's he's. that dynamic. >> He's you. >> He. you know, people say he's me, but he's. so much better than I've ever been.
He's so even with his struggles, he is. so much better than I've ever been and I. just need for him to say. that I'm nothing compared to what he's. going to become. And I don't want to be better than my. children. Because if I'm better than my children, I didn't work hard enough on them. So, I want whatever I've done today, step on that. to get you to the next level. And step when I say step on that, step. on all of it. Watch the journey that. your mother and I've had to go through.
in our life, learn from it. Don't be. bitter from it. Cuz I'm not bitter from. it. I look every day and I and I say and. Julie and I have talked about this and I. pray about it. I give glory to God for. what we went through. Because without that, 1,400 people would. still be sitting there. >> Well, your mess became your message. >> There you go. And Julie and I have. gotten to a place Now, are we different. people today than we were before this. happened? 100%. >> Yes. >> We interact differently with each other.
We have created more boundaries between. us and our children because you're grown. now. This time belongs to me and Julie. And. you know, I think that everything you go. through, Bonnie, and you know this cuz. you've had hardships in your life. It's not the easy stuff that defines. you. >> No. >> It's the messy stuff. >> If it was easy, we'd all do it. >> Exactly. And you know, look at where you. are today. >> Mhm. >> Look at where you are today.
And you're sitting here with a platform. to where you can show all these other. young girls out here that have gone down. the same path that you went down that. there is light at the end of the tunnel. But be smarter about it. >> Absolutely. >> And you know, for me, I love you dearly. I I love your humor. I love that you own. your [ __ ] That no one else gets to tell. your story. Bunny tells her story. What you're hearing from someone else is. gossip. What you hear from you is the.
reality. And that's how I want to live my life. Now, I don't really necessarily give a. [ __ ]. what people believe. >> Right. >> Cuz people are going to believe whatever. resonates for them in that moment of. their life. >> Everybody's seeing everything from a. different lens. >> Yes. And so you know, so when you look. at our daughter today, you're not with. her every day. You're Do you understand. that I'm with my daughter every day of. her life. She is at our table. She and her.
significant other. >> So do we know him? Does it Is he. >> Oh, yes, we know. >> Oh, so we know him. Is he like Is he. famous? >> No. >> Or is he maybe infamous? >> There's There's a There's There's some. infamy there. >> Okay, okay. >> Um let's just say that she crossed the. political aisle. >> Oh, okay. Red or blue? >> So she's born red. >> Okay. >> [laughter]. >> I should have known with Savannah. >> Um let's just say she crossed the. political aisle, which tells you that we.
can all come together, >> Oh. >> literally. >> [laughter]. >> Um the um. I think that um it's going to be their. story, and I'll have her I'll ask her to. come on here and talk to you about it. >> Whenever she. >> her to tell her own story. Um but. we have dinner with them every night. They're sitting at our table. >> Mhm. >> Um I said I've got a front row seat to. what to one of the greatest love stories. that I've witnessed. >> Besides you guys's. >> Well, I don't even compare it to that. cuz that's not happening.
>> Yeah. >> [laughter]. >> That's not happening. And I And I say to. him, "If you just love my daughter. 50% of the of how I've loved her mother. and how I love her mother, then I'm okay. with it.". And and she's whole. She feels whole. And you know, I mean, we're talking. about battles that she's having now. about not being able to wear certain. clothes. >> And you know, no one knows the struggle. that she you know, that she went. through, you know, from the time. >> right? She was. >> Well, she And here's the This is how God.
works, Bonnie. She had had been diagnosed with. endometriosis when she was what? 16? 16. And she had struggled with it from 16. on. >> Multiple surgeries. It's been. >> And so, she went through her through her. last surgery about five or six years. ago, seven years ago maybe. And I went with her, was there with her. when she had it done. And sat in the doctor's office with her. and said, "What are her chances of being. able to get pregnant?" And he said, "About the same as anyone else's. He. said, I feel like that I got 95% of it.".
He said, "She's going to be fine.". And then, you know, she did not want to. have a baby at that point in her life, so she was on birth control. So, she. didn't know if she could or if she. couldn't. But when she got to a certain. age, when she got to 27, she said, "I. think I want to freeze my eggs.". And And I said, "Well, why?" Cuz I. didn't understand that whole all the. stuff with that cuz like with me back in. our day, I mean, you screwed and got. somebody pregnant. That's what I. I'm noted for that. Um, and so, I didn't.
understand it. Julie is way more. educated on that kind of stuff and I. would say, "Well, what does that mean?". And Julie would have to fill me in. So, she went through this whole egg. retrieval. So, at this point, she's with. her with her guy and they've been. together for a year and you know, she's. like, "This is who I'm going to have my. children with. I like the DNA. I liked I like his mind. He's a brilliant man and he is the. kindest I've never felt safer with.
anyone other than with my mom and daddy. >> Aw. >> So and he didn't care about the show. business cuz this man is brilliant. >> Right. >> He's brilliant and. she is emotionally set for life but. she's financially set for life. >> Yeah. >> So. >> But even before him she was too. >> She She was good on her own not like. >> she is today. >> Oh good for her. >> Um but but you know she um. she ended up doing the what is it?
>> The IVF? >> Yeah, she did the IVF. She got. >> they actually had embryos everything. >> And then they leave to go on a cruise on. the Four Seasons cruise and she gets. sick on the cruise. and she thinks it's because of the. motion and then she says, "I haven't had. my period in like 10 days. When we when. we dock in Greece. I want to go to a pharmacy." She calls. us from Greece FaceTime. And Julie was in her closet getting.
dressed. I was brushing my teeth and she. got Julie answered and she goes, "Hey.". And Julie's always when they call it's. she's. she lights up. She's like, "Hey, how is. it?" And. I'm brushing my teeth and she goes, "Where's Dad?". And she said, "Right here." And she. said, "Can you ask him to come in. there?". And I walked in and I said, "What is. it?" She said, "Well, I want to tell you. something but I don't want you to be. mad.". She said, I said, "I'm not going to be. mad. What is it?" And she goes,
"I'm pregnant.". >> Aw. >> And I just screamed. >> I got goose bumps. >> I just screamed because here she had. struggled so hard to do this. egg retrieval and whatever she embryo. all this. She had struggled so hard to. do that and here she got pregnant on her. own. >> Mhm. >> And so. >> Look at God. >> Mhm. >> Look at God. And you know. we look at it today and how do you look. at a child being born and say that it's. wrong? >> Mhm. >> You know, the irony of it is that you've.
got all these negative haters on there. talking [ __ ] but yet you're sitting. here with your fake Christianity saying. you that you're pro-life, but you're. trying to shame a woman that you think. is having a child out of wedlock. >> Yes. Yeah. >> That's the hypocrisy of people. >> They're the same people that say IVF is. science and not God. >> Well, I like to look at this way. God. gave that man who came up with it enough. ingenuity. >> Absolutely. >> for us to do it. >> It's a It's a It's a twofer. It's a. twofer one. >> Exactly. And, you know, if you're you.
know, if you're going to sit here and. talk about, you know, you you don't believe in it, then that's. okay. You don't have to believe in it. >> It's okay to. >> to believe in you [ __ ] goats. >> Yeah. >> [laughter]. >> Todd, they're not How do you know. they're [ __ ] goats, all right, buddy? >> Well, I mean, you just look at some of. these basement dwellers when they're. >> afford the goats, all right? >> Well, they're raping someone else's. goat. >> [laughter]. >> All right, so let's move on from this. really quick cuz I I want to I want to. be able to um get these two topics in, too. Um and by the way, congratulations.
I'm so excited for you guys. And I mean, Savannah, I got to meet Savannah outside. of my gym. She was training with my. trainer at one time, and she came up to. me. She had no makeup on, gym clothes. on, and I was like, "How are you so. beautiful?" Like, she really is so. gorgeous. >> listen to Do you even stop to listen to. yourself when you speak? You are constantly reinforcing another. woman. >> Oh, I know. >> You're constantly giving a compliment to. another person. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> That is a soul that is healing.
>> Yeah. >> You have to be able to get to that place. in life to where you can. to where you can celebrate. >> Mhm. >> someone else's goodness. >> room for everyone. >> Absolutely. >> Yeah, that's the thing. Not everyone is. some [ __ ] I don't want around me. >> [laughter]. >> It's I'm all It's all women except for. Jaime, but he's kind of very feminine, so we. >> Oh, I get the same [ __ ] buddy. >> Okay, not to put a damper on things cuz. this has been such a great interview, but I have to ask this because it's in. the headlines.
There's a new tax lien that's going on. Can we talk about this? >> Well, we can't because we're suing the. government. And so now we are told it was a clerical. error. That. not clerical, automated. An automated. system thing. >> public in the news? >> Well, it automatically files liens. But. here's the thing. We didn't file to our. people did not file for 23 and 24. We. were not Guess what? We were in camp. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So.
yeah. We were in camp. And so. >> We were at band camp. >> Right. We were back at band camp with no. flute. And [laughter] or with in my case many. flutes. But. >> skin flutes. >> Right. But so he had not filed those. because it wasn't a need yet because. there was no income. But so if you don't file a return the. IRS can go back in, look at what you. filed the previous year, and pull it. forward. >> Yeah. >> And say, "Based on this last return, you.
need to file your returns on this or. file real numbers.". So they just did that last week and I'm. I think we owe $25,000. So So we're good. We're good. >> Yeah, I saw that headline and I was like. they cannot just not catch a [ __ ]. break. Like [laughter] what the [ __ ] is. going on? >> caught many breaks Bonnie and so we're. we're very blessed. We're in a good. place. >> That makes me happy. Julia, I've been sitting here staring at. your face. It's freaking flawless. How. old are you?
>> 53. >> You're I hope I look as good as you at. 53. I'm I'm I'm 5 years away, right? OR. SOMETHING LIKE THAT. YOU GOT A FACE LIFT, RIGHT? >> Who did your face lift cuz it's. phenomenal. >> Um Dr. Dino Eleasnia. And he is in San. Francisco. And he is amazing. So I am. just When did we have it done? >> July the 13th. >> July. Yeah, I had mine in March. >> Yeah, so. >> And who did yours? >> Uh Dr. Gold in Beverly Hills. >> Okay. >> Okay. So. yeah, so I'm just a few months out. So. still have some swelling and little, you.
know. >> Are you still numb right now? >> I am cuz I'm still numb. Did you do the. neck, too? What all did you have done? >> So, I did a lower just a lower face and. neck lift. >> Okay. >> I did the whole shebang. >> You did? >> I did the whole thing. I'm talking like. upper, lower. >> No, I didn't do anything. Well, I and. actually did a lip lift, too. So, my lip. is still little Yeah, it's not settled. in right exactly. >> the lip lift so bad. How do you like it, Todd? >> He hates it. >> It was horrible. It was And I know I. like it. I like the look of it, but it.
was the most pain. >> Aw. >> Like as far as like recovery. >> Cuz it's under your nose. >> Mhm. >> So, you're. >> So, you know, of course that's still. numb. Um so, that was the worst part of it, honestly. It wasn't the face lift. I had. no pain with the face lift. >> See, that's crazy cuz I had the most. pain with the face lift and the neck. lift. Oh my god, I felt like I was being. choked and not in a good way. >> [laughter]. >> It was rough, dude. >> Like I had we had no um we had we. we weren't bandaged. Nothing. >> That's crazy. >> And he did the um CO2 laser.
>> Mhm. >> So, you know, of course. >> That was. >> That was a that was a pain just because. the first few days, right? You know, you're like crusty and yuck. >> Oh, no. Mine was it's been a process. So, I'm surprised to hear you say that. that was that was the worst part. >> Yeah. Yeah, but as far as the face lift. itself, it wasn't bad at all. >> And she literally Julie has a high. tolerance for pain. >> Yeah, I think all women do. >> Yeah, she has a high tolerance for pain. She did not complain one time. >> No. >> It was. >> Not one time. We. >> We were out shopping in San Francisco 3.
days later. >> That's crazy. So, was it a deep plane. lift? Wow, that's so crazy. >> Yep, and she does not have a scar. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, he did really. I I would. definitely recommend him. And if I do. anything else, I will. >> Yeah. >> use him again, for sure. >> look him up cuz I definitely whenever. I'm older I'm going to have to get. another one. But man, it was the most. brutal thing I ever [ __ ] went. through. Todd, have you ever had any. plastic surgery? >> Yeah, I had mine done the same time she. did. >> Oh, so you had a face lift, also? How. was your experience? >> I had no problem.
>> What the [ __ ]. I mine hurt so bad. Like I tell. everybody I'm like this is the [ __ ]. worst thing you'll ever go through. Like. >> I had I had zero problem, no scarring. I. mean, literally zero scar. Um you know, he had said initially cuz I had always. kept up with mine way more than Julie. had because I was a slave to late to. laser. >> Right. >> When a new laser came out, I went and. had the laser done. And Julie, because. she said it hurt, she wouldn't do it. >> Yeah, laser hurts to me. >> I've been fried so much that I'm just.
kind of numb to it. >> Yeah. >> And so I would always go. >> laser. >> I would always go twice a year and have. the laser resurfacing done. And so. Julie's was talking, she says, I I want. to have this done. I want to have this. done. And I said, well, then I'll go in. with you. And she goes, but you don't. need it. And no one no one knows that. I've done this. You're the only one that. knows this. >> Yeah, wow. >> You're the only one that knows this. Just now. >> Oh, I got the tea, baby. >> Um and so no one has not no one has. known about it, but and we've not even. brought it out on our podcast. >> Wow. Why didn't you talk about it?
>> going to do it next week. We're going to. do it [laughter] next week, but I don't. give a [ __ ]. >> Yeah. >> Um but at any rate, I had no problems. with it. We were We were 3 days later. shopping in San Francisco. >> We stayed there for like 9 days. >> at the Four Seasons and walked to our. doctor's appointment every day. >> Wow. >> Yeah, cuz uh you did have to stay there. for a week uh because you had drains. Yeah, so you had to keep the drains in. for a week. And that was uh you know. >> Yeah. >> But. >> And you know, we both we both still have. residual swelling, which he has said.
that I think we've got about. Yeah, they've said that we've still got. 30 to 40% swelling. >> Mhm. >> And um. but he was great. I mean, we had zero. complication. She went in first cuz if. he [ __ ] her up, I wouldn't doing it. >> [laughter]. >> Um but. >> He's there in for Julie. >> She's the one that wanted to go down. this road, so I agreed to go with her, but I did not agree to go first. >> That's okay. I love that you guys did it together. >> Dino was great. I I went in one day and. Dino and uh Todd went in the next.
>> Aw, I love that. Chachi, come here. All right, we're. about to We're about to wrap this up. >> name, Chachi? >> Chachi. >> You know, that's my friend Scott Baio's. name from Happy Days. >> Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Everybody says. that. They're like, "Did you name him. after Happy Days?" And I'm like, "No.". [laughter]. His real name is Croachy, after Jim. Croachy, the musician, but nobody could. pronounce Croachy, so it just turned. into Chachi, and it's been like. [laughter] that for the past 8 years. All right. Last thing, let's circle back. to your diss track. >> Right. >> Are there going to be more? Because this. one is fabulous. >> It just depends on if you piss me off.
Um, because that song was written. um, because of someone. calling my granddaughter, my daughter.
