Theresa Caputo | Dumb Blonde Podcast
[music]. >> Is this thing on? Hi babies. Most people. think they know Teresa Caputo. They know. the hair, the accent, the moments that. made them cry. But today isn't about all. of that razzle-dazzle. It's about the. woman behind the gift, the anxiety, the. faith, the doubt, the love, and the cost. of being open to everyone else's pain.
Please welcome. Teresa Caputo. Oh, I thank you. >> Yeah, I You know. >> to see you. >> It is so good to see you again. I Ever. since we met, like. when I sat down, I don't know if we're. allowed to talk about it yet, but. I sat down on your podcast with you, and. ever since then I just felt like such a. connection to you because you just are. such a bright light in this world. >> Thank you. >> And it's amazing how you. One of the thing the things that. resonated with me whenever we did sit.
down is you said that you only use your. gift for good. >> Mhm. And you talk about how you. struggled with it also. Right. And I. confided in you that I've always had a. gift, but I've been scared too because. of my religious background. So, I think. that this. this avenue in life, like, you know, mediumship and stuff like that, needs. somebody like you, and we've needed. somebody like you for a really long time. that can show the difference between. light and dark because gifts like this. can be used for such.
you know, different things, and. sometimes things that aren't good. And I. just wanted to tell you in person that I. really appreciated our time together. >> Thank you. I know it was so special. It. was It was so amazing. We knew from the. moment that I walked into the space, you. know, and how your loved one's souls. were like hanging out there already. Like, I still can't get Like, when I was. drawn to that corner, you know, it was. just It was just amazing. Yeah, no, it. was awesome. I can't get over your. style, though. That was like one of the. main things that I loved about you. I.
want to dress like you. Like I love your. style. You're so cute the way you Thank. you. And then the legs. I need to know, how are you maintaining this muscle. tone? Well, I I have good genes. Yeah. But I do I work out. I do Pilates. I've always like strength trained and. stuff like that. And as I got older, I. realized I can't work out like that. anymore. So for the past year I've been. doing Pilates and. just kind of changing it up a little. bit. >> So I need to stop weight lifting and.
start doing Pilates because I need legs. like this. You could do Well, I you. know, it's hard because I've always had. really good legs, you know. Have you. always been athletic? >> Always been athletic. Yeah. >> Yeah. So I used to I used to deadlift. I. used to do all that. And. I just I can't do that anymore. I tore. my ACL 7 years ago. So once I had that. repaired, I really couldn't do it. anymore. And at the end of the day, I'm. 58. I can't be deadlifting anymore. I my. body just I can't. But the Pilates. really changed I could feel the change. within my body. >> Yeah. And you become like connected with.
your with your muscles more, too. I feel. like when you're lifting weights, you're. kind of like concentrating on not dying. And in Pilates, you can kind of like. connect with your body more. Yeah. And. the thing that I find interesting about. it is that it never stops getting hard. It's always hard. And what I've noticed. it's because I'm getting stronger. And. it's a different strength. It's a. completely different strength. >> Have you ever used a reformer? That's. what I do. Yeah. >> I love those. >> the I go to a class where it's it's a. reformer. Yeah. No, it's amazing. If. anybody out there has ever done yoga, I.
get really bored doing yoga like regular. yoga. >> Me, too. >> But the reformer, I'm telling you, is a. game-changer because you have to really. concentrate and it's hard. It is hard. >> like stretching and and putting your leg. in certain positions on a you know, like. you're use it's It's like a table that. you lay on that has bands. I don't know. how to really explain a a reformer. And. you're moving your body and contorting. it in different ways, but you're holding. these positions. And you would think it. would be easy, but it's not. >> And the reformer is only moving because.
you're whether lifting from your core or. or you're lunging forward and it's not. it's really hard. >> Yeah. Yeah, it's crazy. I love it. >> that crazy that you were talking about. my style because I I watch I follow you. and I'm like. does this girl ever like have a bad day? Like you always look amazing like. whether they're in your leggings or like. you have no makeup on and your hair you. always just look. you don't always just look beautiful. >> You're so sweet. I think it also comes. from the soul. So I think beauty comes. from the soul as well. So 100% you could.
be the most beautiful woman on the. outside and if your soul is ugly. it it resonates and that's how I feel. about you though. I just love everything. about you. I think you're just so sweet. and you fascinate me. You are literally. everywhere. Does anybody just ever stop. and ask you like hey, how are you doing? Would would it No, not really. Well, yeah, I guess. >> I feel like I just want to ask you like. how are you because I feel like you are. just always on the go 24/7. [clears throat] and it's like do you. ever have time to stop and like catch a.
breath and like process emotions because. reading people every day and having. spirits talk to you every day. you know, like do you ever just have. time to just breathe and be? It's I'm. starting to learn to incorporate that. into. um my my schedule. >> Yeah. >> Because it is it is very hard. I would. say it I make what I do look very easy. and it's the hardest thing, but I don't. know how to be anything else but me.
So it's hard to find that balance. But. now that I'm a grandma I really work. really hard. I mean it's always been the. center of my touring. You know, I I've. been touring for um 15 years to 14. years. So it's always like we're home. for the holidays. I try to make it home. for every Make sure we're home for every. every milestone in the family, birthdays. and things like that. So. Yeah, it's got. to I don't know how you have so much. energy because I I know we have the next. 2 weeks are about to be crazy and I'm.
already exhausted. Watching you though, I'm like, "Okay, I can do it. If Teresa. can do it, I can do it." I swear. [laughter]. >> I literally was saying this to this. morning to Jenny. I was like, "I had a. dream that I was complaining to her that. I was just so exhausted." Aw. [laughter]. Because the you know, we flew in we lost. 2 hours this morning. So, it was just. like I couldn't peel myself out of bed. this morning. I was like, "What?". >> And you're doing this on your day off, too. That That hurt my heart when I. heard that cuz I know how special day. offs are, you know, especially in our. business. So, for you to be here on your.
day off means so much to me. >> appreciate it. I mean, I feel like it's. it's an honor and and I do I feel that. connection with you and I love how you. um respect not only me, but my gifts. So, I want to thank you for that. No, you are I I was thinking yesterday when. I was writing down on your notes. I was. like, "Why couldn't I have a woman like. this to grow up with?" You know, like I. just feel like you know, we'll get into that in a in a a little. bit later when we talk about your. family, but I I just feel like if I.
could have had like a role model such as. yourself that like my mom was so scared. of her gifts that she became a drug. addict. And the rest of my family, they. were all so scared of their gifts. Is. there other people in your lineage that. have this gift also that you were able. to lean on? Well, I I always say I would not be who. I am first and foremost without my mom. and my dad because my mom that they're. like my my biggest cheerleaders, you. know. They always just encouraged me, you know, like growing up like doing and. saying like odd things and my mom is.
very spiritual and so is my my dad. So, I come from a very spiritual, but also a. strong faith family and I think that's. the thing that has always kept me. grounded. You know, is to have that. faith and that belief. and. um. I know I come from a long line of people. that have gifts. But I know everyone's. gift is different. You know, everyone's. maybe it's an intuition. Um I remember my mom telling me a story. about my grandmother that she had she. would soul travel. Like she would leave.
her soul with and she'd be like get back. in that body. And she would like yell at. herself to get back in the body. Wow. So, you know, everyone does have gifts. and and an intuitiveness and you will. also know that I've shared this with you. that I believe we all have the ability. to connect with our own loved ones that. have died. So, that's a soul bond that. can never be broken. But to have the. ability to be um. so sensitive to people's emotions or. energies around you, that's difficult.
Mhm, absolutely. Um it's is the grandma. that had the gift the same grandma the. first grandma that appeared to you? No, that was my great great but it was her. um it was her mom. Okay. >> Her mom. Okay, so it's kind of passed. down [clears throat] between you guys. That's amazing. >> Yeah. Can you take me on that journey? I. know you've told the story numerous. times before but to anybody who hasn't. heard it, you started seeing spirits. around the age of four. Right. Take me. on that journey. >> So, I would always remember a woman. standing at the end of my bed. And I.
would always feel like a protection. So, I would always like wake up like with. these blood-curdling screams. But I. would always just see a woman but I. always felt safe when I saw her. And it wasn't until I started realizing. that I had an ability. um or something different than the. average person and I remember seeing a. picture in my grandmother's house and I. I said to her, I said, "Gram, I go, who. is this woman?" The the picture just. looked very different to me and she's. like, "That's my mom.". And of course I've seen pictures of my.
great-grandmother before but never. realizing that that was her and it just. clicked in that moment. Wait, that was. the woman that I would see standing at. the end of my bed at night. Um. So, you know, growing up was difficult. Um there were many a times where I had. my dad would have to get I would tell. him that there were people looking at. me, you know, through the window in my. room, and my dad would be out at 3:00 in. the morning with a ladder up to my my my. window. >> [laughter]. >> looking and my brother would be like, "Yep, I'm my sister's making us go up on. the roof today looking for people that.
aren't there." Oh [laughter]. my goodness. That That must have been a. lot to process though at such a young. age. Like, did that start to create like. um you know, like. you know, like when you can't express. yourself, especially being that young, did it create like an OCD loop or did it. create like certain behaviors? >> So, I don't I think through me it was. more of just that anxiety of of the. racing of the heart and feeling like. something was going to happen to me if I. did not leave that space immediately.
So, that's how I grew up. And I would. say to my mom constantly, be like, "Mom, I don't feel right. I feel different. than everyone else. I don't feel like I. belong here. Like, something's not. right." And my mom, you know, would say. to me, she's like, "Listen, she's like, we love you. You belong to this family.". And I always just felt loved and safe. with my parents and. >> to you. Yeah. And they I think it was. cuz my mom also gave me that space to. kind of express what I was feeling and. not to make a big deal about it or not.
to make me feel embarrassed. um or even weird about it. You know, because I would just say like, "You. didn't just see that woman like over. there?" And they'd be like, "No, we. didn't we we didn't see that woman. standing in front of the TV." Like, everything was just so matter-of-fact. So, whether if my mom was scared. [laughter]. That was my next question is like, did. they ever try to take you to like. counselors or like therapy or anything. like that or did they just accept it and. roll with it? In the beginning, accepted and rolled. with it. And then as I got older, um I.
did go to therapy for my anxiety. Um, and then my mom was the one that. suggested that I go see a spiritual. healer because of my anxiety it was so I. couldn't even leave the house. That's. how crippling it was. And I had just had. my daughter Victoria. And, um, so I would attend these. spiritual awareness classes and that was. a space for me to kind of navigate my. gift. And I would only open up there. Wow. So, I was blocking it all. I was.
holding it in and that's what was. causing the anxiety because souls make. me feel how they died. So, I would all. of a sudden feel like I couldn't. breathe. I would all of a sudden just. start tasting blood and my my mouth. wouldn't be bleeding. So, all these. things were happening to me and I. couldn't understand it. So, through this. class I was able to work through it and. understand what it was that I was. sensing and feeling and why I would be. feeling that. We're going to circle back to the the. spiritual teachings, um, but I just want. to touch base on the fact that you lived.
with this from the time you were four. until you had your first child. Yeah, no, I I. from my my entire life I've lived with. this. I was I was almost 30. And nothing did you know that you were. like psychic or you just thought it was. just severe panic panic disorder? I knew. that I was sensing and feeling things. that other people didn't. And we were I. was just talking about this this morning. and I think this is interesting. So, like if people are thinking they don't. know how to connect with their loved. ones or they're not getting signs,
I said to Jenny when we were getting. ready this morning, I was like, "For. some reason I felt like I needed to wear. my grandmother's cross today." And I. just I this is my dad's mom. And I was like, "I feel like I need to. wear this today. I I have to put this. on.". And she's like, "Okay, so, you know, wear it." And I'm like, "Yeah, I just. feel like I have And then all of a. sudden I sat back and I looked at my. calendar. Today is the day she died. 43 years ago. Wow. >> Yeah. So, like little things like that, like an intuition. And to me, that was a.
sign from her of her saying, you know, wear me today. >> Yeah. >> Right? Remember me. >> Remember me. Bring me with you, even. though she's always with me. But, I just. This is all part of like intuition, and. some people then it I would say cuz if. people are very intuitive, right? Like. like you're an intu- you're very. intuitive, that doesn't mean that then. you have to be a medium. Right. >> Does [clears throat] that make sense? Like Like that there's a difference. I. know I was born this way. I was built My. physical body was built to do this kind.
of work because it's not easy, and I. know my gift is guided by God, um. because through that struggle of going. to the spiritual awareness classes, I. was fighting it. Mhm. And I was like, well, why would Why would God give me this. gift? Like, this is crazy. And then, once I kind of accepted it, I was like, okay, this is great. Then I was like, okay, but now who's going to want to. come and speak to a medium? Who wants to. talk to their loved ones that have died? I could not understand that. Cuz you. have to remember, this was back in the. '90s now. >> Right.
>> Right? So, I was struggling with it. Then 9/11 happened. So, now we have this. 6 years where I was battling this gift. And or or the acceptance of And 9/11. happened, and that's when I put my gift. in God's hands. I said, listen, if this. is my soul's journey, then I will put. your gift in my I will put my gift in. your hands. You open the doors, I will. walk through them with my gift. But, I. only want to use it for healing.
purposes. I don't want to see scary. things. I can't keep seeing people in. full form. Um and remember, I'm afraid of the dark. Yes. [laughter]. Yes. So, and I and I would have been. more afraid, if I had to see what you. had to see all the time. >> Yeah. It It's startling when you feel. see Well, my thing was is cuz I would. feel things and see things. So, if I. open my eyes and it was dark and I was. still feeling something, I couldn't put. it together. So, by always having a. light or a little brightness to it, I.
felt safer. You do talk about that you only channel. white light. How do you decipher and how. cuz I know the spirit world world. especially the dark side of the spirit. world is not respectful. So, how do they. respect your boundaries? I think because uh God wins. Yeah. Right? If you don't mind me saying. >> Of course. We love Jesus around here. Yeah. So, I um. I'm always I never want people to. misinterpret. Like, I am a practicing. Catholic. Um and I never want people to.
misinterpret if I'm pushing a religion. I just think faith is important. I don't. care what it is, but faith is is part of. our foundation. Everybody needs. something to believe in. >> Exactly. And whatever it is, it doesn't matter as long as you believe. in something. >> Yes. So, I don't know how it is, but I know it's. true. I um I I can see souls, but I. can't receive direct messages from them. They have to be channeled through. another soul.
So, I know I can't lower my vibration. low enough for that. Um and it's. happened where I've seen it in readings. And then also I've seen dark energies. around people. I cannot get in there, but I'll know what it is and I'll just. back off from it. And I'm always. protected. What does What does a a light energy. look like and a dark energy look like? Is it pretty self-explanatory or do they. come in different forms? I could just. feel A lot of A lot of my communication. is through feeling, but the one instance.
that I was just referring to, I was. doing a live show and there was a woman. and I asked her to stand up. And when. she stood up, I saw all this just. darkness around her. And I was like what and I just got this. like pit in my chest and in my stomach. and I literally felt like someone was. pushing me back. >> Mhm. To back away. And I said to her, I. said, "Do you not feel right? Do you. feel heavy? Or like, do you feel like or. do you use the term, I have this black. cloud over me?" And she said, "Yes." And.
I said, "Well, you played with a Ouija. board." And she said, "I did." I said, "Well, you have all of these negative. energies attached around you. You need. to go home and burn the board, cuz. that's the only way that you can get rid. of, you know, the energy." Wow. Um and. and she looked. I'll never forget she looked at me, she. was, "Well, I don't want to." Ah. And I said, "Okay.". >> [laughter]. >> Wow. Yeah, and I was like I just got. goosebumps. Why would you want that dark. energy around you? >> don't know. I don't know. We had a. spooky situation that happened here, cuz.
I have a lot of antiques in here. This. is just our studio where we film. Literally, we uh. >> Yeah, that door, that room when you. first walk in, >> Uh-huh. that room, I guess it was I. don't know, I walked in, and then to the. right. >> Yes. >> Yeah, you could I could feel energy in. there. Oh, for sure. There's energy all. around here, and this is why I will not. bring antiques in my house. Yeah. >> filming one day, and I look over, there's a Dolly Parton Ouija board in. here. I love Dolly Parton. >> Well, today's Dolly Parton's birthday, by the way. That's crazy, right? Yeah. A. Dolly Parton Ouija board?
>> Parton Ouija board, and we don't know. where it came from. Someone just. >> That is bizarre. >> placed it in here. We have no idea where. it went, and I I was like, "Get it out. of here." Like, That's so crazy. >> It's so crazy. We talked about it, and. like, people, you know, the fans that. watch the show went back and traced like. when it appeared and everything. Like, and we still don't know who placed it. there. No, have no idea. Like, it's the. craziest thing. >> that you don't maybe not might not want. to know. No, never [laughter] want to. know. But, for her to say like that lady. to say that she didn't want to go home.
and burn the Ouija board. Like, I. wouldn't want that dark energy around. me. Yeah. Do you feel that all Ouija. boards invite dark energy? >> [gasps]. >> Yeah, um I do, because you're you're. you're calling in energies. You know, you do have this connection. and you do have that ability and I feel. like that is just opening a vortex or or. a vessel that you don't want to or you. don't really know what to do. I mean, listen, there are times that I end a. live show and I can feel energies. attached to me. Mhm. Um, that doesn't.
mean that it's bad, but I have to do a. lot of prayer. Um, you know, to make myself feel better, more grounded. A lot of times after a. show I kind of seclude myself for a. little bit. Um, because I don't want and you know, I. don't want to carry that with me. I have. to do my own thing to get rid of the. energy. >> Mhm. I can't imagine. Every time I go to. a funeral home something attaches to me. We just freaking filmed I um, Christmas video or my Christmas song.
video in a funeral home and it it was. Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, but. I ended up with the worst suicidal. ideation. >> wait, did you say the because I was. literally saying, "What Why are you. doing a Christmas video in a funeral. home?" I was like, [laughter] "Why is. she doing a. So, WE'RE LITERALLY COMMUNICATING. YEAH, [laughter] IT WAS literally Grandma Got. Run Over by a Reindeer, but I paid the. price for it because all of December I. had the worst depression after filming. that. I mean, it's real. I mean, Yeah, it's crazy. I I always say this. I go,
"People can. uh, say whatever they want about what I. do. and it but it's real. No, it's I mean, it is real. But what do you do you. protect yourself in when you go into. spaces? Do you protect yourself in white. light? I I haven't done that and I need. to do that more. I actually just did my. first um, uh, Ar- Archangel Michael meditation the. other day cuz I need I wanted to call. him in for protection and I really felt. a difference. Like it was amazing, but I.
have crosses tattooed all over my body. cuz I've always, like you, as a child, uh, had severe anxiety to where I couldn't. leave the house and have always seen. spirits. So, my obsession with crosses. has always been since I was little, so I. have crosses in my house, all over my. body, and I just always pray, but I. guess I do need to start doing the white. light meditation. >> I also do Archangel Michael every day. Yeah, every morning after the rosary I. say the prayer for St. Michael, Archangel Michael, and then also. [clears throat] before.
every reading that I do, especially a. live show. Wow, that's amazing. And it. it really did make a difference. Like I. felt so much better after I did that. meditation. >> Yes. But so, you can what you do is when. you go into a space, just like imagine. yourself like a white light from God. like coming in through the top of your. head and just like filling you and like. pulling out all like any energy, okay? Any grayness and like imagine yourself. like translucent. and just trimmed out in white light. And.
then imagine that light that you drained. forming into magnificent white light. And then filling you up and then. showering you in God's white light and. protection. Oh, I love that. I would. definitely. >> do like a bubble, but it's this form of protection where. if anything that's going to come in, you. only want for the highest good of all. concerned. Amazing. I will definitely. start doing that. Raising your children in this, you know, you know, you had them on TV and just in.
your lifestyle, have you has your. children known that you were you had. this ability ever since they were born? Since they were little, you know, I mean. my kids when they went to school, you. know, people are sharing, you know, oh, what did you oh, my dad's a police. officer, my mom's a teacher, my my mom's. a nurse. There's my kids, my dad's an an. Italian importer, and my mom speaks to. dead people. Like [laughter]. my kids grew up, that's what they knew. >> Yeah. >> You know, but it they but the the. beautiful thing about that, they did not.
think that that was. odd. Like Cuz it's all they knew. >> That's all they knew. I ran into someone. recently. where it was a mom that was on a. baseball team with my son and she's. like, "I never knew that that's what you. did." She was, "You used to say things. to me all the time and I thought it they. were she was like it always reminded me. of my dad." She was, "But now I'm. realizing you were channeling my dad on. the at the baseball games.". >> Aw. >> You know, but like it was just so matter. of fact and no one ever ever made a big. deal about it. Do any of your kids have.
gifts as well? Of course they do. Yeah. You know, my. son is just very intuitive. He's very. sensitive. >> Mhm. My daughter shows signs to be able. to do more like what I can do. >> Wow. Yeah, but she but she also. struggles with. you know, mental illness and she's very. very open about it. >> Yeah. And. she's good when she when she puts her. mind to it. >> Yeah. >> [laughter]. >> Yeah. She's really good at it but She.
doesn't want to. Yeah, and you have to. want to to to be able to. But it's a big responsibility. >> Right. She probably has to watch what. you have gone through. Yes. And and I. say this all the time. I'm like I make. what I do look very easy. But it's the hardest thing to allow a. soul to channel through me. Take people. on this emotional roller coaster, right? >> Mhm. And. I don't think I realize I realize what I. do. changes people's life in a positive way.
But I just got a text message from. someone two days ago saying that I read. someone in prison. Mhm. And it changed. his life that he said to the person, "Can you please reach out to Teresa and. tell her that I want to thank her Mhm. because I feel worthy." And he just got. married. Aw. >> got out of prison and he's married and. it's just I don't real I know what I do. changes people's lives, but you can't. even imagine to what level on how it.
changes someone's life. Who heals the. healer? Because you are a healer in a sense. You. are bringing so much light to people, so. much closure that most people would. never have if they had like you brought. me a ton of closure so I could only. imagine you doing that times the. thousands and millions of people that. you have reached. Who heals the healer. though? God. Aw. Yeah. Yeah, because it's had it's I mean. in the beginning um I would say I would.
get it from um the woman who helped me. with my gift and unfortunately she has. passed away. >> Mhm. Um but that was in the very beginning. and then since then uh it's been my. faith. Yeah. I would be I just I you're you're uh. you're an anomaly because I know how. like you know I I'm not even on your. level and I know how exhausted I get. picking up people's energies. I could. not imagine what you do. Like and you. don't get like do you ever get. physically ill from reading so many.
people or do you are you constantly. protecting yourself? >> No, I'm constantly protecting myself. In. the beginning that's interesting that. you asked me that. >> Mhm. Um in the beginning. uh I did become very physically ill. Mhm. Um. this was when I was struggling with my. gift and I don't even know if I even. shared this. Courtney, you might know. this. Yes. Um my dad had a physically carry me into. the doctor. I was and I was ill out of. nowhere. My my kids were babies and I. was literally in bed for 2 weeks, but at.
the time I smoked. Um and I know. >> Cigarettes or weed? No, cigarettes. >> Okay, got it. >> [laughter]. >> No, not weed. Got you. I don't know what. that is. We have to clarify these days. Listen. [laughter]. People do them. That that would probably. be a disaster. >> Right. >> [laughter]. >> Um yeah, I was never one to really. dabble, um, you know, with things like that. Yeah. Um, I guess it's like also so so like a. control thing. I didn't like that. feeling. >> Yeah. Um, so it was almost like a way I.
felt of God detoxing me cuz I couldn't. do the work that I do with filling and. putting toxins in my body. >> Right. Oh, absolutely. That makes sense. I know that that and literally my mom. said to me, it was like a couple of. weeks after I had stopped smoking, my. mom said to me, she goes, "You are such. a bitch." She goes, [laughter] "You need. to go back to smoking." And I go, "No, God doesn't want me to smoke." And we. both looked at each other and we were. like, "Whoa." Like, but these are things. that I would say, like, why would it Who. would say that, right? And I knew it was.
for for a higher purpose. When you were. when your dad had to carry you your dad. or your husband had. Dad had to carry you into the hospital, what was the diagnosis then? Was it just. >> It was just stress and just taking on. everything? >> it was just I think they chalked it up. to like a flu. Wow. And it was just from. reading people. It was me battling and. fighting and resisting. >> Mhm. And, um, I do believe that. sometimes when the worst things happen. to us, um, things happen, but it's always for a.
reason. Always. >> though that was the word at that time, it was it was awful. Mhm. Um, but I know. it was a time for me like there was just. something deep in my soul that I knew I. had to stop smoking and that I had to. accept my gift. >> Yes. And it's growth. I always say. there's a blessing and a lesson in. everything that we go through. You were married and raising kids before. you ever fully stepped into this work. Do you think motherhood delayed your. awakening or do you think it prepared. you for it? I think it prepared me.
Um, again, as a child, I always knew. that I wanted to get married young and. have children. That was I knew I wanted. to be a young mom and I think most. people feel that way, but I would not be. able to do what I do. and travel and all the things that I've. done if I did not have children at a. young age. Right. Absolutely. How how. um sorry. How did being a medium affect. your marriage in ways that nobody could. see? Well, I do have to say Larry was a great. supporter through that. I mean, I used. to say I see shadows. Like if you think.
you see shadows, go [laughter]. you see shadows. Like he really he. really didn't believe. or I like to use the word understand. He. didn't understand it. But what he. understood was that when I read, I. became better. Like it was like a release. >> Yes. Wow. Because the anxiety came from. me trapping all the energy inside. >> Mhm. Um so he did notice that once I. started reading, I was more relaxed. I. didn't have anxiety. Um so he was like,
"I don't care. If you think talking to. dead people makes you better." He goes, "Then you talk to all the dead people. you want.". >> [laughter]. >> Aw, he's like, "If mama ain't happy, nobody happy.". >> Mhm. Did you ever feel guilty like you. were more emotionally available for. strangers than but you were like a ghost. at home? 100%. I still feel that way. Mhm. I still feel that way. >> why you're trying now to kind of slow. down and take time. And and I know that. that's not true. Like I know cuz I work.
very hard. I have amazing relationships. and bonds with my family. Um you know, I. still live next door to my parents. So. >> love that about you. >> [laughter]. >> But like even friends taken. I mean, that's amazing. >> my dad is 85 and my mom is 78. Yeah. And. my dad you would not think he's so. active. He's [laughter] unbelievable, my. dad. You light up when you talk about. your family. >> Yeah. Aw, I love that. >> Well, I wouldn't be who I am without. them. I feel so blessed not only to. still have my parents, but to have them.
They were the they are the most amazing. role models and the best parents that. anyone could ever ask for. They sound. amazing because a a of parents, especially hearing stuff like this from. their child at 4 years old would have. been like immediately trying to like put. them in a mental institution or put them. on medication or, you know, like you. never. you never know what to do with something. like that, especially. I say that that I would I might have. been diagnosed with schizophrenia. And.
yet, unfortunately, that is a real. mental illness. But I could have very been easily. diagnosed with something else and not if. it wasn't for my parents. I mean, trust. me. My dad is. very afraid of my gift. >> [laughter]. >> He's always like, "You're taking the. dead people with you, right?" Like, you. know. >> [laughter]. >> He's like, "Keep it over there, though. I don't want to know about it." But he's. like my number one supporter, like, you. know, he's always handing out pictures. of me and, you know, he's just Yeah, he's just he's the best. >> Does he ever come to you for readings at.
all or is he just completely No. If I. say one thing to my dad, he's like, "Got. to go.". I But it's But it's also hard. Like, I. always say this, my family and friends. get screwed out of readings all the. time. Because am I getting This is what. people also don't understand. If I know. something about someone, it's harder for. me to read them. Because when I get the. information, it's like, "Oh, did I know. that about them? Or is this my own. memory that I'm recalling?" So, when I. read, I can't have any personal. thoughts, feelings, or emotions. They. have to strictly be the emotions of the.
souls of the departed or the person that. I'm reading. So, when I take I take. great pride in what I say, if I read. someone that's in the public eye and I'm. like, "I don't know anything about. them.". It's such a beautiful thing. because it just makes the the experience. so much more authentic. You are. definitely the real deal. I will say I. was a little skeptical when I went into. our podcast. Not that I was skeptical. cuz I totally believe in it, but you. know, people nowadays, you never know. The stuff that you have I can't wait.
till you guys can actually watch this. podcast with us. The stuff that you were. saying down to the fact that my mom was. hiding behind people because I had. told her to not appear in this reading. and she was like you were like your. mom's like hiding behind people and I'm. like it's because I told her not to be. step up in this reading and it was just. there was so many other things too that. you pulled out like it was crazy. You. were definitely the real deal. Um moving on to when you were doing this. with your spiritual teacher, um you. studied with a spiritual teacher, you.
learned boundaries, grounding, discern. discernment and structure. Um you didn't. just wake up and start doing readings, you trained. What was the hardest. discipline you had to learn? Um I don't know. I don't know if I would look at it. in that way. The only thing that how I. could describe it to you buddy is that I. put my gift in God's hands. and I realized that this had nothing to. do with me. Mhm. Um I know that some people might not. understand that, but this I'm just the.
vessel that they're using. I'm just crazy enough to remove myself. from it and allow them to take over Mhm. my physical being to be able to deliver. messages. Mhm. So I think that was the hardest. thing if you might say that I had to. learn. um because I'm just Theresa Caputo from. Hicksville. That's literally how I still. view myself. And um this does have to do. with the souls, not me.
It's so selfless that you have dedicated. your entire life to just putting. yourself aside so that you can help. other people. Well, I didn't realize. that this was going to be my life. You know, I never in a million years. thought that I would be where I am. today. >> Mhm. Um I didn't. the if you want to refer to it as a. business, um I I had a business card. I. didn't even have a website. I didn't. even have an email. I I had a business. card with a phone number on it which was. the sign of the cross by the way. Wow.
Um. and it was a business card. I had a. 2-year waiting list. I was booked for 2 years. And then one. day Courtney, my manager, she came to me. Well, unfortunately, Courtney lost her dad. Mhm. And she was. having You don't mind me sharing this, do you? Um trouble moving on. And her sister, Victoria, said, "Why don't you go see. Teresa?" And she came for a reading and. it changed her life. And she's involved. in television and she had said.
"Everyone should have this experience. Should be given this opportunity. um that I had." And she came to me and. asked me if I wanted to do a uh TV show. and I was like, "All right. [clears throat]. I You know." Like, "Okay." So, I thought. I was just going to like film a couple. episodes. I'd be like on my break from. filming like making appointments and. they used to be laughing at me. They're. like, "What is she making all these. appointments for? She's not going to be. able to do this. She's going to be. filming a TV show and [laughter] all. this." Um and most certainly, I never. thought that I would be traveling all.
over the country Crazy. >> living on a tour bus doing live shows. So many back-to-back-to-back-to-back. shows. Like, you have a tour schedule. like my husband. Mhm. It's insane. Yeah. You have to be proud of yourself. Do you. ever just stop and like think like pat. yourself on the back and like. You should. >> I I'm proud of myself because where I am. Mhm. um. Here's this. little girl who couldn't even leave her. house because of the anxiety and the.
fear, um insecurities, whatever they may. be. Mhm. Um. and then. you know, to go through your own losses. um and then to be strong enough. um. to take my abilities to this level, to. take these chances. Um but again, I. always just put I just put it out to God. and I put it in his hands. Like, if if. this is what I'm supposed to do, every. new venture I do that. Well, I'm proud. of you. Thank you. And I'm.
you are somebody that I love to look up. to and I'm happy that we have role. models like you. Thank you. What's the. biggest misconception people have about. how controlled and intentional your work. actually is? >> Oh. Yeah, um I always say if people think. that or then they don't know me. Right. >> know the first thing about me. Um and and I get it. I mean. I get I'm I'm honestly the first one to. say that what I do is crazy. How in the. world can someone communicate with. someone that has died?
>> Right. >> But you witnessed it yourself. There. were things that there's no way. Yeah, there might be common things because. there's only so many different ways that. people can die, right? >> So those things are common. I can't help. that. But these other things of and I. think that was the thing that I loved. about your experience was the souls. really delivered on communicating with. that personality. >> Mhm. Respecting you, what you asked for. for the first time. Yeah. >> I mean, to me that still stays with me. and I don't remember my readings. That. stood out to me. And they all showed up.
I mean, it was crazy. There was a lot of. people that showed up in that reading. It was really really wild. >> It was crazy. >> [laughter]. >> It was like sending me like it's like. they but I feel like they wanted to talk. to you as much as they wanted to talk to. me. They were like, "Oh [ __ ] they're. together? Like let's what's time to show. up and show out." Like you know, like I. really feel like they were just like. this is our time to shine. Can I just go. back to something cuz you you said. something to me and I and I don't know. if it's something because I never just. I'm I am who I am.
Do I take I don't even know how to say. this if this is correct to say like. credit for where I am? Yes, I did it, but I always say I would not be who I am. without the people around me. Absolutely. >> Including my family, but also my team. I. have the most incredible team around me. Um, people have been with me since day. one. So, um, I'm very blessed and I don't. take any of that for granted because I. know that.
if I didn't have these people in my. life, um, things could have been very different. for me. Your vibe attracts your tribe and I feel. like you have attracted people who are. just like you. So, that's a testament. again of who you are as a person and. then also your team that you have around. you. >> you have to be I want you to start. practicing on saying, "I'm proud of. myself.". >> I'm proud of myself. >> There you go, sister. >> You hear that? I'm proud of myself. Did. you guys hear that? I'm proud [laughter]. of myself. >> There you go, sister. So, your life changed overnight with.
Long Island Medium. >> Mhm. Um, when the show exploded, what. part of your life disappeared first? Cuz that show I mean, you were. everywhere and you still are. Um, I would say being home. All all the you know, just being home. and also the freedom of, um, just going. out. You know, um, that that's hard. You know, you go out and I I love.
people. I will stop and I will talk to. people, you know, but people also have. to understand if I'm if you're out, you're doing errands, you're doing. things, you can't do things like that. for yourself. So, I think that was hard. because I am such, um, a people person. and I and I just love to be out there. Yeah. So, that was just hard and then. just being home. I think people, you. know, when people hear stuff like this, they're always like, "Well, you chose. this life." Or like, you know, you you. know what you signed up for and half the. time we didn't know what we signed up.
for. I didn't, right. >> Yeah, you know, like it my poor husband, you know, even wants to go to like his. son's basketball game and he's getting. filmed, you know? So, it's like you. totally forfeit Yes. >> privacy and like little things. Like. even being able to go eat dinner with. with your kids, you know, something like. that. And we're we're no way. complaining, Not at all. Not at all. >> but it does affect us as humans. Cuz we. just want to do things I mean people. will come up to me and say, "What are. you doing here?" Like I'll be in Target.
This man literally came up to me like, "What are you doing here?" I go, "I don't know. I'm buying toilet paper. What are you doing here?" Like I'm doing. the same thing you're doing. Like I have. to and and he literally said to me, "Don't you have people to do that?" I. get that all the time. That's so weird. I said to myself it's such a different. misconception and I think that is one. thing Bonnie that I work on myself cuz I. think we all do it to an extent, judgment. We judge, right? And you don't My mom. always says, "Don't judge because you. don't know the whole story.".
And and it's true, you know? Um but. yeah, of course, but they're they're. here to help me, not to go, you know. what I mean? Like I I could go do my own. thing. CVS is my favorite. >> [laughter]. >> finding shopping place. I like CVS has. become my one-stop shopping. I love. that. Okay, well, now everybody's going. to everybody's going to be looking for. you at CVS in your hometown now. >> [laughter]. >> Do you ever feel pressure to be on. spiritually even when you're emotionally. empty? I don't because um there's.
something that I feel that spirit knows. as this part of the boundaries. Um. because of course, I feel energy now and. I feel things, but I'm not being pushed. to say anything. That's several things. It means that maybe the soul doesn't. need to communicate. Maybe the person. doesn't want to hear from their loved. ones because not everyone wants to hear. from their loved ones that have died, right? So, um. I don't really ever feel pressure and.
and it's hard when people say, "Oh, are. you always on?". It's not an on thing. I can't explain. it. It's not so I I don't know. >> It's a lifestyle. Yeah, it but it's I I. don't know how I don't know how to turn. it off. I don't know how to turn on. It. just happens. >> Yeah, I understand. What is the funniest thing a spirit has. ever said to you? Oh, there's so many things that that. just popped into my head. I remember. doing a live show and it was an older. woman. She was I think in her 80s and.
her husband had passed away. And he goes, "Tell my wife she still has. it." And then he showed me him chasing. her around the dining room table. And then him and her on the dining room. table. And I WAS LIKE, "OH MY GOD! >> [laughter]. >> OH MY GOD! I DON'T WANT TO I HOW DO I. SEE THIS?". SO, I tried to deliver this in a way of. where and I said, "Oh, your your husband. says you still have it." And then I felt. him like hit me on the butt. And she. goes, "Oh, she goes he would do that to.
me all the time." And then she says, "And he used to chase me around the. dining room table." I'M LIKE, "OH, LA LA. LA LA LA. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THIS. AGAIN." You're like, "I know. I just saw. it." Yeah, exactly. That is so funny. But those are the things that I love. Like so there there are always levity. moments because I want spirit to. communicate with personality and. laughter because I feel that is the best. medicine for the soul. And I and I think. in a way it also gives us permission to. kind of live life with happiness and. joy. Even though we're missing our loved ones.
that have died. Yes. Amen, sister. What's one thing you wish people would. stop asking you? Um stop asking me. What are you doing here while you're in. Target? Yeah, what are you doing here. while you're [laughter] in Target? I don't know. What would it be? Because usually for the most part when I. see people, they're never like, "Oh, what are you. getting?" Like people never say that to. me. They're always just thanking me for. what I do. They want to share with how. what I do changed their life. Um and.
they just want and they just want a. picture. Oh, I'm going to say I'm going to this. is it. Stop asking me to change my hair. It's not GOING TO HAPPEN. ALL ALL I. >> [laughter]. >> love my hair. And the reason why I wear my hair this. way is because I don't like it on my. face. >> Mhm. So, when my hair isn't done, my. hands are constantly in my hair, and. then your hair becomes greasy and like. dirty, and I don't like that. The higher the hair, the closer to. closer to God. >> I like it. I don't know why. I just love. big hair. I think it's your signature. I.
don't If you changed your hair, I don't. think anybody would recognize you. Oh, they do. Even in a baseball [laughter]. hat, someone will say, "I noticed the. way you stood, the way you walked. I. heard you talk.". >> The voice gives it away. Yeah, it's. definitely a trademark. >> Even if I don't do my hair, it's always. like in a little poof, like I just love. a poof. I think I look better with my. hair bigger. I love it. I tell when. she's doing my hair, I'm like, "Tease. it. Tease I want bed head. I want to. look like I just got banged type hair.". Like and when I do get my hair done, >> talking about that. [laughter].
You love that tousled hair, right? And I. was just saying tousled hair, and then. somebody said, "Oh, like you. like you just. >> [laughter]. >> Yeah. Great minds think alike. Yeah, and. I was like, "I was saying alike. I. didn't think of it like that.". >> Yeah. No, that's [laughter] exactly what. it is. I love it. I love bed head. It's. it's amazing. What do you think the. biggest myth about mediums is? Uh. >> [sighs]. >> I think that it's not real. Mhm. Um and. and I I only speak for myself. Um I feel.
that. there are people out there that do have. abilities. Um and I would say if someone is helping. someone live their life in a positive. way, then I support them. You know, um. and I can't explain what I do. It just. It just happens. So, when people are. like, I'm like, "I don't know. This is. just me." Yeah. So, >> Do you have friends that are mediums, too? >> I do. I do. I have one really good. friend. Um and she um.
I kind of helped her along or encouraged. her to. to do this cuz she had she was but then. she stopped. Um so she's one of my best. friends. Would you ever get into. teachings? Like actually like letting. people learn from you or mentor. mentoring somebody? I don't know um because I would just. share with people people if they ever. ask me like if they're struggling with. their own gifts I just share with them. what I do and what has helped me but.
because it's such a personal thing and. the way mediums communicate well all. different not one better than another. which is different on how we get and. receive messages. So for me it's more of. a feeling. um and just a knowing. Like when I hear. someone speak to me I'm not really. hearing someone speak to me. I can't. explain it. They're really not speaking to me but. they're speaking to me. >> Right. We it's but you feel it and you. see it and yes. >> Yes. And I can and it's just something. that I feel like deep in my soul. >> Mhm.
What would you be doing if you weren't a. medium? Oh, I don't know. So I had these are the several things. that I thought I was going to be. Well, I I always wanted to be Well, I feel. like I accomplished it cuz I always just. wanted to be a mom because I feel like. being a parent is the most important job. here in the physical world. So I feel. like I did accomplish that but I wanted. to be a Dallas Cowgirl cheerleader. With. those legs you could have definitely. done it sister, [laughter] okay? And um. I wanted to be a legal secretary or a.
stenographer. That's amazing. So you just wanted to. sit there and type in a courtroom? >> and I always had long nails so I it was. always. >> hear you just clicking away in the. courtroom. That would be amazing. Would you ever try to do that like in. the second part of life? Just be like, you know what? I don't want to be a. medium anymore. I'm going to go be a. stenographer. No. What? Because I feel like I would get. like too um engrossed in the whole I'd. BE LIKE, WHAT? LIKE LIKE TO GET CRIME. documentary just [laughter] right right. in front of your eyes. And honestly, I.
can't I know this is is going to sound. crazy because it's probably the not. normal, but I feel I will never stop. doing what I do. because this is who I'm supposed to be. and even being on television and having. cameras and to me it was the most. natural feeling. I can't explain it and. I even think my my family felt the same. way like it was never uncomfortable. It. was always comfortable. It was always. like this is what was supposed to. happen. As a little girl, did you ever.
visualize your life like this? No. No, not at all. I always thought that. I was never going to achieve anything in. life because I was going to die. Aw. >> Yeah. So like even before I got married I was. like, well, I can't imagine myself. married and like not living with my. parents. So. I'm going to die. From natural causes or. >> Just No, it was it was just a thought. It wasn't anything like this is how I'm. going to die. And it was the same thing. when I was pregnant. I was like, oh my. god, I can't imagine going through. childbirth. Something's going to happen.
I'm just going to die. You know, like I. never really. thought Right. That never thought I'd. make it. >> grow old. Aw. But you're not old. You're. hot. I mean, can we talk are we dating? What's happening cuz you are way too hot. to be out here single. There's no way. that men are not banging your door down. You are so cute. >> Nobody Hey, nobody has never banged my. door down. >> [laughter]. >> I don't know what this is. No one has. ever slid in my DMs and was like, hey.
No. What? Well, you know what? I have to. full disclosure. I really. >> the right cuz there's three inboxes? I. really don't even check my. DMs. DMs. I'm not even I'm I'm Can I Are. you allowed to that? I'm not a big fan. of social media. I just don't. you know, so I really don't go on it. I'll just go on it to look like if my. friends Yeah. DM me. So, how is dating. life for you now that you are single? >> Well, here it is like I don't I don't. I don't feel like I ever really dated.
Like I've never really dated like how. people would most people say, "Oh, I met. someone at a bar or I met on a on an. app.". It was never like that for me. I. couldn't see you on Tinder. No. There's. no way. No. So, how do how does somebody. like you meet somebody? >> Well, you you meet people through. connections. >> Mhm. Through work. Mhm. >> That's how That's how I met my first. husband. That's how I met Larry. [clears throat]. Mhm. Um so, and it I never even. thought about dating or wanted to date.
Why have we not made a dating show for. us? >> kind of happened. I'm really not a um a. a dater or like someone that and I never. was like that. >> Mhm. Um no, I I am dating. Oh, you are. >> Well, I'm not like freely dating. I have. someone in my life that I've been with. for you know, several years now. >> Okay, I didn't know that. That didn't. come up in any search that I was looking. for. >> Well, you also have to realize I um this.
was my life is out there. Mhm. He does. not choose to live a public life. >> that that you guys were able to keep. that under the radar though. That's. amazing. >> Well, I've always been very open about. it um when I was dating. Mhm. So, but I'm not like a dater dater. Right. >> make sense? >> No, I get it. >> You just. >> And and I I have to I always say this. >> I am. Mhm. I You know, Larry and I I. always say this because I'm very proud. um of also of how we've handled. everything and where we are today. You.
know, um we're family. I always say. this. Even though just because we're not. married doesn't mean that we're not. together. We're family. We have. children. We have grandchildren. So, we're able to have all these special. moments together as a family. Aw, that's. beautiful. >> Yeah. And that's amazing that you guys. can go through, you know, such a public. divorce and then still just be so. amicable and raise the family together. because a lot of people let their. emotions get in the way. Because that's. that's what life is about, right? It's. about family and it's about connections.
So. Absolutely. What is the most. misunderstood part of your personality? I don't know. I don't I don't think. people misunderstand me. I think it's. pretty black and white of of who I am. I. mean, if this is what I always say, if. people say, yeah, does anyone say. anything negative about me? No. >> [laughter]. >> I don't EVEN KNOW. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. I DON'T CARE. I DON'T CARE. I DON'T. CARE. I DON'T CARE. I DON'T. >> [laughter]. >> I DON'T KNOW.
OH, J'Adore these things. Yeah. But I always like nice things. My. grandmother and my mom would always say, we don't know where you came from. You.
were born with a label on your head. [laughter] And my grandmother used to. tell me, you have champagne taste and a. beer pocket. Cuz I always I always love designer. things, always nice things. I always. tell this story when I was in fifth. grade, that's when Jordache and Sassoon. first came out and the Thom McAn's. And. it was we were getting ready for school. and my mom was like, okay, we're going. to go school shopping. And I was like, well, I want Jordache and Sassoons and. Thom McAn's. So my mom said, look, we. could go to TSS and you could get 10.
outfits and five pairs of shoes. She. said, or you can get a one pair of. Jordache, one pair of Sassoons and one. pair of Thom McAn's. And I chose. the three items. >> [laughter]. >> You're like, I want all three. >> I've I've always been like that. Like. I've I just I just like nice things. I I. don't know why. Again, I was just born. this way. And I and I don't think I. think that is one of the biggest. misconceptions about me is that people. don't know.
or realize that what I do is so much. more than me communicating with people. that have died. Mhm, behind the scenes. >> Um, yeah, the behind the scenes things. Um, so I did a fan club because um. and I'm very proud. Sylvia uh runs uh my. fan club along with Victoria. We formed the fan club because people. were taking advantage of my ticket. prices. >> Mhm. So, and they were with and filled. with empty promises. Um, so we formed this fan club. It's. $19.99 to join. I mean, first of all, that's ridiculous, $19.99.
>> [laughter]. >> Um, but we did it so they could purchase. tickets safely. uh for the correct ticket pricing. Um, so we did that, but all the proceeds. after the cost of running the fan club, I donate back to the fans. Aw. So, um. we've give it we do like $1,000 gift. cards at Christmas time. People have. said we weren't going to have a holiday. if we didn't receive this. One woman was. able to get a job and fix her car. because of that. So, changing people's.
lives in so many different ways and. doing a lot of work with the John. Theissen uh Children's Foundation. >> Mhm. um as one of is the greatest. foundation that I've ever worked with. and the things that he has done for. children and families on Long Island is. just amazing. I'll have to look into. that. I love donating. I love giving. back. Nothing makes me feel better than. giving back, especially to strangers. I. feel like when I give back to people I. know, they don't appreciate it as much. But I feel like when you give to.
strangers, it's like such a different. feeling, you know? >> Because you know what I've also. realized, Bonnie? You know, people say, "Oh, I have such a close family." So, when people tell me that, I think it's. like my family. >> Mhm. And people don't have that support. That's something that I've learned. through my gift where I felt that I took. for granted of having family, you know, parents, a brother, cousins where we're. all so close and to have support. emotionally. And people don't have that. We create People who don't have that cuz.
I I don't have that, we create our own. families and we create our own safe. spaces. But yes, you are definitely. blessed. But I do believe that Do you. believe that we choose our family before. we come here? I do believe the soul chooses the life, yes. >> Mhm. So, you think that it they pick. everything that they go through, like. the elements that they go through, the. addiction that they go through? Because. I believe that. I truly believe that. also. >> And I did a past life regression. >> Mhm. And um one of the the past lives, I.
was a young man and I was desperately. trying to save someone in a fire in in. that in my house. And when I finally. pulled the young person out of the fire, the person conducting the past life. said, "Look into the eyes. and who do you see in this lifetime?". And I saw my nephew, my brother's son. Aw. >> Yeah. So, he was my brother in a. previous life. Wow. >> Yeah. That's insane. I haven't done one. of those. I want to do one. Mhm. Powerful. Very powerful. I'll have to.
get um a recommendation from you. Thank you so much for coming on the. podcast today, especially on your day. off. >> Oh my god, this was amazing. >> really appreciate you being here. And. I'm so excited for you guys to go check. out Goodnight Nashville tonight. >> Oh, I can't wait. >> I'm so excited. >> want to say to you, I just want to thank. you um. because you I feel like you really did. touch something that people don't. normally ask or know about me. Aw. >> So, next time someone asks me that, I'm. going to say, "Well, Bunny asked those.
questions." Like you asked those and. wanted to show a side of me that most. people don't know or that people. would never even consider knowing. And I. know sometimes it might be. uncomfortable, too, because you know, you we especially being interviewed, it's hard to answer personal questions. like that. So, I always try to be. respectful, but I think you did really. amazing. Oh, thank you. I feel like I've. been here for like 5 minutes. No, it's. been an hour. I think it's been an hour, right? Yeah, it's been an hour. >> Yeah. Thank you so much. >> Oh, well, thank you. Where can people. find you if they don't know how to find.
you? Just go to theresacaputo.com. Um I'm verified on everything and the. I'm just going to say this, if people. reach out to you asking um for a gift. card saying that it's me and I'm going. to give you a reading, it is not me. There is so much out there for and this. is again something that through the fan. club we work so hard for. That's why I. encourage people to join the fan club. because you have direct access to my. team and my team only. Yes, and they can. reach that at uh theresacaputo.com. >> Yep. Go sign up for the fan club. I'm.
going to go sign up for the fan club. >> [laughter]. >> I'm going to be the number one fan in. there. I'm going to be like a stalker in. there, just crazy. I love you, girl. I can't wait to to. just continue watching your journey and. I'm just so proud of you. Oh, thank you. so much. I'm equal. I am proud of you, too. Thank you for being here and thank. you guys for tuning in to another. episode of Dumb Blonde. I'll see you. guys next week. Bye. >> [music].
>> Um that came through. And she was like, I don't know if you don't know exactly. what's going on with him. or like if you do, like I don't really. if you feel like it, but they just keep. showing me like everything's going to be. okay. What is there something with his blood? >> [laughter]. >> What? Yeah, so just so you know, like how you. always say that you want to be. respectful, like I used to feel like I.
cuz I feel like you wanted to ask me, but you were afraid to ask me. >> I would never. No, I know. I know. So, you were afraid, you know, to ask. Um. but um I feel like did you just switch a. doctor or did they just switch the. treatment? Uh yeah, no, he he bled out last week. He lost 50% of his blood at surgery. >> [snorts]. >> And did they change something or did. they give him something new? I don't. know what it is. They're switching his.
nurse that we love so much. It's his. last day today. And I've been so scared about that cuz I. swear he's the only reason he's getting. better. Yeah, but he's strong enough now. So, he'll like it's almost like she did. her job. Is he home? No. Um well, they showed me him home. So, Wednesday. We just found out he's going. to come home Wednesday. Oh, perfect. Yeah, so he's he's strong enough. It's. almost like now he needs someone who can. do all of this. Like it's he's going to. be fine. But they're telling me like.
he's a little bit stubborn. Like he. doesn't listen. Like if they say eat. more protein, he's like, I'm going to. eat vegetables. Like, I'm not going to. eat protein. Or right? Does that like. He's so mad about the protein. So, he needs to he needs to he needs to. he needs to. he needs to do the pro he needs to. really inspect Who's the young male that. supported connected to you? I feel like it's more of like a brother. energy or. uh or did he have a brother that passed. or someone that was like a brother? No.
And they told me yes. So, you can just ask him. Um I know what that is. Which, Jenny? She's inside. So, that was okay. So, it's going to be but he has to just. it's almost like I don't know if you. said to them like, "Dad, like knock this. [ __ ] off. Like, just do what they say. Like, stop being so stubborn. This is. your effing life now. Enough is enough. Like he has to. you know, and and same he can't give up.
He is being a little stubborn like, like. all you Yeah, you got to. You got to eat the [ __ ] protein. >> [laughter]. >> Yeah. He hasn't eaten in 8 days, so it's Yeah, so he has to But it's got to it's got to. be it's got to be little. because it really does he doesn't feel. good when he like I get it, but like. he's got to do little like micro-dosing. It is. And he's got to and but he will. build that he will build that up, but he. has to just allow it to happen.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But he'll be fine. Thank you. Wait, did he Did he. I don't know what it is. So were there a. lot of any changes that they said that. he should be making in his life? >> Mhm. He doesn't want to do that either. He doesn't want to quit smoking. >> [laughter]. >> He doesn't want to do any of it. He's. like, no way. He's so stubborn. He's so stubborn.
crazy I told him I was like, no more. surgeries cuz it stresses me out. Yeah. I was like, I forgot everybody else. Did. he have to have this surgery? It. [snorts] it was like either he lived in. a catheter the rest of his life or it. was Well, the problem with that was is. that show me like he waited too long to. have He did. Like if he had like So this. is a a lesson. So we were just talking. about this on how the worst thing that. can happen in our life turns out to be. the best thing in a sense. So this is.
also to acknowledge that if he did this. sooner Yes. Right? If he did this. sooner, this never would have happened. It literally they we talked about it. with the doctors. He's been having this. prostate issue his whole life. And had. they just done this years ago he's at. the VA, so they're not very But I'm also. just going to say this, they didn't know. so much about it and I don't know if. they were just watching something and. then all of a sudden it was like, [ __ ]. we got to do this now. So, that in itself, so next time things.
come up, we just have to like we we. don't have to like it, but we have to do. it. Yes. Does that make sense? >> That's what I think. I'm just. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Do.
