So, I started DJing.

in there. >> Okay. >> And then uh then I became a patron. >> Okay. >> And then I just I just kind of started. just kind of easing into it like, "Hey, y'all go just like somebody else DJ in. there. I'm just going I'm going to go. into the regular spot." And then I. started getting on the dance floor. And. then uh yeah, then my one of my first. performances was in Paris Lounge. And. again, it was a 35 and up club. I was 15. years old. And that's just that. Yeah. I. It wasn't I wasn't supposed to be in. there, >> right? But also it's Tyler as they saw.

>> How How did you How did you How did you. clear that with your parents? >> Parents? I don't know where them [ __ ] was at. [laughter]. >> Come on. Come on. Pay. >> man. Hey, look. Soon as she. got off, my dad had to go to work. >> Yeah. >> So they they they flip-flopped. >> Uh both of them was was living their. life when the other one wasn't at work. to the club, it wasn't um they didn't. care. I I think they knew what I was. doing, but. >> it wasn't nothing they can do to where. they going like, "Oh, I'mma get off of. work and go fix it." Like you can't do. nothing. >> Well, they could tear your ass up and. you wouldn't go. >> They didn't know. You know what I'm. saying? So I can So I can be like, you. know, it was never on time. So when I. get back from the club, they like, "DID. YOU GO TO THAT CLUB?" AND I COULD say. no. And there was nothing they can prove. about it. >> But you smelling like cigarette and. And he was like, "What is this? YOU BEEN SMOKING THEM BLACK AND MOUSE?". I WAS LIKE, "THAT'S a cabissan thing.". He was like, "Don't let me find OUT YOU. SMOKING BLACK AND MOUTH." I'm like, I. think you already know we're all. smoking. [laughter]. >> But when they found out you was making.

money, >> I don't think they cared. >> Really? >> I don't think they cared that I was. making money. Did I just feel God damn. it? Yeah. I don't think they cared that. I was making money. jurisdiction. Um, as far as school goes, um, I made it all the way to the last. eight days of 8th grade. and then after that I dropped out of. school. >> Your mom and dad didn't say anything. about that. >> Well, they had a part of it. Um, so. [laughter]. so the last eight days of 8th grade. >> Okay. Um. they they the school implemented a uh a.

dress code and they said that we all all. the men boys had to tuck their shirts. in. >> Okay. >> Um. >> that's not too extreme. >> It's not too extreme unless you're fat. >> cuz now all the girls you like can see. exactly the same. >> Yeah. the costume and they wanted me to put. the microphone up to the mouth of the. thing and I'm like, I can't do that. We. I actually need I need somehow to maybe. That is going to look stupid as hell. you're gonna have a just a just an arm. out here with a microphone in it. And. I'm like, "Okay, well, what's the best I. can do?" And like, "We can put a.

microphone in your hand. on a half a stand, put it up to your. mouth, but we can also have a microphone. right here on your face." And. >> the mic. like, "Well, I breathe too much for. that." [laughter]. And they're like, "Well, you got to. control your breathing and that's the. only way we can do it." And that that is. literally what won me the whole thing. because I was like. I'll hold my breath in between these.

lines in order to get this right. And I. literally was holding my breath that. whole night. >> because you can hear me. [sighs and gasps].
