The Highest Interest Rate I've Ever Seen | Financial Audit
uh my name is Kiana I am 31 years old. I'm based out of Atlanta Georgia and. this is financial audit welcome welcome. thanks for coming down what do you do. for living up there I am currently. unemployed uh okay okay wait that. actually so like I I do a lot of gig. work does that make sense like I'm not. oh well you're bringing in money. something like that yeah what is. something like that well first of all I. mean I I'll be honest out of the gate.
that scares me cuz what I've looked. through is and it's not a competition. it's not a competition yeah I get it. this has to be one of the worst deaths. of you have the spoiler I spoiler you. have the highest interest rate on. anything I think I've ever seen on this. show I think I've ever watched I think I. do have the highest one I've ever seen I. mean why why do we not have a job why do. we be even just the service industry at. least in Atlanta area major Metro I.
can't speak to it like I can speak about. the Austin Metro in terms of openings. and you know everything we see and the. people I see but why the we just not. working so we're taking up payday loans. to be very clear sorry I I'm coming I. promise it's not aggressive that just. took me off guard no no no um okay so I. was working um I was working at a. physical therapy-wellness Center um. before like during the summer um I went. on a vacation I probably shouldn't have.
went on um and that's when a payday loan. came in no yes what vacation I went to. I'm Caribbean so we have Carnival in our. Island and it was my best friend's. birthday you were born there uh my I'm. the first person in my family to be born. here in America so my mom's country okay. um we go there a lot um and it was her. birthday and I have a thing with not. showing up for people so I knew like.
like happy birthday I'm going to not my. life. um yeah it crossed my mind and then I. about you very nice teeth by the way. thank you like incredibly nice teeth I. just noticed that thank you so much I. don't like I don't I'm not like usually. an inspector of faces but like as your. cuz we're really close and I'm like wow. jealous so it's okay I can I bought them. you can buy them terrible destructive. end of the world Deb yes great teeth. thank you sorry continue you're you're. you're okay I I I I'm a little bit of a.
people pleaser so I I did take it out I. knew before I couldn't afford the trip. but I I just did so wait are you telling. me okay did we take out the payday loan. alone just for that just to go to the. Caribbean. yes okay well off because I'm let's. let's just start with that then because. do you understand what you even did I'm. not going to lie no um what do you mean. I didn't understand I I was just.
somebody I know does it so they told me. go ahead and take it and then when you. get paid when you get back who's this. who do you know what's the relationship. with you it's just a random friend like. not even like a friend they're they're. the dumbest person that's ever existed. on this planet I agree now never listen. to anything they've ever say about. finances maybe they're a super smart. astrophysicist and they can tell you. everything about that but they know. nothing about money yeah and um when I. signed it like I was just so desperate. for it I just like signed it and took it. and then I then I read the loan. agreement and then I saw the percentages.
and my whole thing was when I get back. I'll just work and pay it off. immediately so what happened to your job. I got back and the hours were cut um. drastically and then from to from I was. making probably like 11 almost $1,100. every two weeks. to literally by the time I left I was. making 750 every two weeks even $1,100. every two it wasn't a lot.
that net or making like net okay even. still I mean netting like what is that. $24,000 a year Atlanta is not a cheap. City it's not anymore know no yeah. exactly um even still you you borrowed. well that's why it's a payday loan. because you borrowed a Payday of your. loan yeah the plan was I worked a really. good job um earlier this year and I had. to leave for mental health issues reason. and I took like a leave um when I left.
my manager told me I would be able to. come back when I was with as long as. their position was available I can come. back and um I attempted yeah and he um. we went over the paperwork together I. signed like an official paper and. everything and then when I got back from. vacation and realized my hours were I um. contacted him and we were trying to get. me back in but HR denied everything so. what I was like hoping for wasn't. working out and I was working I was.
making like. 75 net over. there but I had to step back are you. fing Kidd $75,000 a year yeah with all. of and you make zero right now yeah and. we're this payday loan literally blows. my mind this is the wildest thing I've. ever seen yeah what's not I mean okay. $1,100 that you borrow that's not wild. the7 $95 interest rate that is.
insanity that is insanity to be very. clear I'm not angry at you I'm just like. that alone I'm just like. oh just like death because the extra. crazy part you do the minimum monthly. payments which by the way you make no. money so how are we going to pay the. minimum monthy payments we're not on. everything else we're going to go. through it it's death it's Insanity it. doesn't make any sense so you pretty. much have to do it so we borrow $1,100. what do we pay back total in the end $. 5,783.
$340 that's in this is so much yeah it's. it actually overwhelms me um when I look. at it so I kind of avoid them I haven't. looked at them well that's not an option. that's not an option not avoiding paying. them but avoiding like looking at it cuz. it it literally you $30 per yeah late. yeah this is this is some this. is oh man I'm so I'm just you I mean you. sign up for this and you sign up for.
this wait when did you sign up for. this. July have you made payments. yes okay I wasn't 100% sure because. everything else I saw no yeah I mean I. it comes out of my um account. automatically um what does that mean. like before your paycheck hits like it. it's it's set so that it's like auto pay. I guess yeah but spoiler alert two. checking accounts are negative so yeah. so what usually happens or what was. happening was it would pull it would be.
negative and then when my check comes. it'll just like recover it the balance. if that makes sense so I just know off. uh off bat off of every check that I'm. going to lose that. $321 guys it's a new year and you need. to make your money work for you you can. do exactly what I literally do right now. and put my money in the best high yield. savings account SOI I get a 4.6% yield. on my money and I also took advantage of. the bonus of up to $250 when I signed up. you can start 2024 off Amazing by doing.
the same by going to the link in the. description below this related to your. income is 321. per. well I do like the gig apps and. stuff and right now well you have to. there's no choice yeah there is no. choice it's not a it's not a thing not. option yeah you're just you're you're in. a man we had someone else it's it's wild. cuz when year this situation like the. last major crazy situation I seen mhm.
she also took out a payday loan she's. taking a major payday loans since she's. also in the Atlanta area I know the. Atlanta area has a lot of food deserts. has a lot of uh underserved. communities um would you say you're in. that I'm going to be honest no um okay. because usually that's who the payday. loans pray on um yeah I I learned a lot. about payday loans from taking that out. that was my first time ever doing it and. your last time and my last I um yeah no. I I'm blessed to be um my son's family.
his uh dad's side of the family um helps. me out a lot um he guys together no I. haven't been in like a decade but okay. so you had a kid at 18 I did the math. yeah uh one kid one kid okay so uh. 13-year-old mhm okay if we have a. 13-year-old dude we are not taking out. payday to go on a vacation a vacation. yeah some of that was also you have like.
$100 in your 401k something like that. yeah because I got like a random 401K. from um job so we are not taking first. of all we're not taking vacations and we. are not taking payday loans to go on. vacations no no we're not we don't have. time to go on vacations cuz we're. working every second of our life just to. survive I don't know how you're paying. rent well you're you're surviving. because cuz the money that came in cuz. the money that came in is from your uh. uh uh ex's family no no no no I don't. get from them I stay with them so I get.
like a huge discount on my rent like we. live who do you live with um. his his grandmother's sister so like his. Grand Aunt his great aunt is that what. it's. called yeah how' that situation come. about um I was living on my own when I. moved to Atlanta my rent was like $1,400. and when it was time to resign the lease. it was it went up to like1 19 as well as. my other utilities going up as well and. at the time I had injured Achilles um. and I couldn't work on my feet as often. cuz was still healing and I was actually.
on it before it was healing so I kind of. extended it so um when she had an. opening in her house cuz she was like in. a big townhouse by herself and she's a. travel nurse so she's never really home. um I kind of just jumped on the. opportunity to get out of the lease I. broke it yeah um the company the. apartment place was super shady and um. we had issues prior to me even breaking. the lease um we've been to court couple. times um and then at that point I had. just I decid I did resign the lease. again my first place I always lived at. home so um it was it was very hectic it.
was not a good experience AG was this. first place at what age first place at. 29 cuz I where were you before if not. Atlanta uh New Jersey my mom had a big. house there and that's where uh your ex. is based out of we're originally from. New York Brooklyn okay we moved to. Jersey my mom got a big house there it. was in a suburb Are You full custody. basically child support no. why uh you bust it up you pay money.
that's how it works yeah somebody yeah. know what I don't have the answer for. that well you know the I don't have we. don't we haven't spoken in like two. years I don't know where he is what he. does uh hello money please I I've tried. that I wrote him along okay then we go. to court and they'll be like hello money. please I I I kind of didn't want to um. one because his family does help me and. I didn't want and then it's like he he. wasn't a citizen here and I felt like if.
he's illegal not anymore no he's not he. has like a green card situation going on. but from what I heard from his sister at. the time he let it lapse and I didn't. want to be put him in a situation where. he you know get his license suspended. and but you're you're like not making. ends me I'm not any you're not you you. did this credit card that we go to this. credit card infuriates me not I mean. just the the credit card itself not you.
again like there's no reason to be upset. at someone else for the debt they're in. there but this debt itself just woo. we're sitting okay so this is. Quicksilver mhm we're sitting. at $5. 9052 but guess what guess what the. credit limit is $500 we are having fees. charged by being over the credit limit. and not even making the payments of $125. or that's than the the normal minimum.
monthly payments like probably like 40. bucks but 100 it was 25 25 so now it's. higher than that because one we're not. we're not making payments which is why I. was surprised you're actually making the. payments on the payday loan of death. yeah and then interest of $13 is. accruing so we got fees for not making. the payments and being over the credit. limit yeah. $111 of Interest stolen from you this. year so far in $88 of choices has been. stolen from Y in terms of fees p do fee. you're not even getting a fee for being.
over the credit limit but what does that. matter because then we go to our Capital. One just straight up Capital One card. and we're sitting at. $338 well that doesn't sound like very. much does it the the cap the credit. limit IS300 my dude my dude 300 yeah $25. of. fees fees probably another $25 minim. monthly payment but now it's 61. because this is getting me like oh my.
gosh let's see should should should we. see the heart rate that's what everyone. always ask for in these situations cuz. it's making I feel I feel this debt I'll. let it. calculate 87 it's not that bad nope 95 o. sorry I had to adjust yeah I was like hm. I'm. like yeah yeah and transactions what are. you transacting what what's the. transaction dunking d Donuts we can't. pay we're over the limit and we're going.
to Dunkin Donuts we're not going to. Dunkin' Donuts why are we going to. Dunkin Donuts that's yeah you're dunking. your entire life down the drain why are. you going to dunking donuts that okay. that pisses me off that pisses me off I. wasn't angry at you this entire time I. wouldn't say I'm angry at you but that. choice right there that pisses me off we. don't do that that's irresponsible we. have a kid we can't afford bills we're. leaving we're leaning on the other. family the okay sorry no. I I any like food charge.
is me like going to school and not like. planning to so like I just like instead. of making a cup of coffee what is the. school thing oh um um so in New Jersey. I'm a licensed esthetician but in. Georgia they don't recognize it so I. have to gotians don't make much money. though anyway unless you're pretty far. into that career I mean technically I. graduated 2018 and I was taking clients. when I first moved and I was that was. helping a lot but um if you get caught.
doing that down there without a license. it's a like5 $20,000 fine so I stopped I. was working with a pretty good company. but I didn't want anyone to get in. trouble so I fun fact no more doing. things that are. illegal yeah so I decided to I was. pushed to go back to school because it's. something I'm actually really good at. and I make a lot of money doing when I. do it so make my face look pretty before. you leave please okay I'll try I'll do. my best I'm breaking out I got.
you how much does that. cost. [Music]. 18,000 yeah for how long uh nine months. I'm done next August dude and I'm all. about those things man I you I mean you. people you hear me talk about my boys. over at cor CR and like it sounds like. I'm Shilling for them so I but I'm like. it's not like that kind of stuff I am. for you going and do doing this kind of. stuff I am for certifications I am for.
college I am for everything and anything. and everything I'm for doing it smart in. a smart way and I you can't afford to. survive how are you paying this how are. you paying this how are you paying. this student loan you're not paying for. it all right we're just going further. into that okay 8 $83 of interest charge. this year so far fees. $75 okay oh jeez oh people are probably. going to think being mean um this has.
just. thrown my plus car issues before the. episode which you know about yeah but. besides that I'm not making it much. better I having a little Drive recently. uhuh just a little zoom zoom down the. road you know when you go down a lane. and there's like a left turn lane yeah. you go to the left I was going down a. lane someone was in the left turn lane. and then they're like oh not anymore. boom that's very upsetting too it's very.
upsetting cars have uh been uh not. making me very happy as of like my car. doesn't make me happy I just blew a tire. two weeks ago and I had to use whatever. I had to to fix that this is not this is. not ASMR you got to speak up I'm so. sorry I told you I'm sorry I I'll try to. keep it in mind oh the card you don't. like speaking of which that's our next. little fun little thing yeah of. joyfulness as we head down this despair. what day of the week is it what Tuesday.
it really felt like Friday and I thought. this was how my week was ending and I. was like you're sending this Deb is. sending me into a bad Friday heads space. but oh it's only the beginning of the. week so yeah okay it can always get. better it can you're going to estheti my. face and things will be great exactly uh. my car issue at some point won't be a. car issue that'll be great exactly it. gets better you'll get out of debt at. some point and that'll be great and.
we'll figure out how to get out of that. there's there's positives but until. those positives we're going to talk. about the uh 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid of. which you. owe okay car. $1,960 which for someone making Z is uh. not much um but what's crazy is the. amount due is. $898 $898 MHM that's I'm smiling because. I'm happy cuz this is good this is good. this is so happy this is so so much good. is happening right.
now yeah what a low payment everything's. great that's actually my mentality and. that's probably where why I'm at where. I'm at well we can't ignore the. realities of the world that's the issue. I I don't want to be Mr Negative Nancy I. know this uh show typically revolves in. negative situations so it it can be easy. to perceive me as just a negative person. but in general I'm across the board I. tried I I I hope I'm a little more. balanced but you do have to be realistic.
if we're just sitting everything's. rainbows and Roses I mean obviously. that's not the reality if we're $1,100. turning into $5,000 of debt to repay. just to go to the car. Caribbean not even not even hanging out. with Johnny Deb this is what's the point. at that point it was very fun though I. don't really regret it but I I do regret. not being educated about it but yes now. you are no more I got it okay is this.
your minimum monthly payment or please. tell me that you've missed some payments. which I can't believe I'm even saying. that okay good what's your normal. minimum monthly payment uh. $372 so how many payments have we miss. like two yes I'm about two payments. behind why are we behind on. everything cuz my income is not cool why. haven't just to survive just to survive. why have we not gone worked all night at. McDonald's you know shoving out some uh. just some Mickey D's some nugs into. people throws is through the. drivethru N nug nug I've applied every.
everywhere I'm not discriminating. against jobs at this point I like not. Choice it's really not um I realized. that cuz I was only applying to like N9. to5 kind of situations but then I. realized my situation and I just kind of. figured Like Water Burger like literally. they open the water Burg and I apply I'm. applying everywhere I'm not. discriminating but I'm just not getting. any well we know Across the Nation. itself you know Tech had a hard time. especially towards the beginning of the. year hasn't necessarily like rebounded. but uh it's not as bad as it was.
statistically speaking companies are. going to have their own issues regions. are going to have their own issues just. n Nationwide but Nationwide but what has. been a true statement still over this. entire year and I look at the employment. data whenever it comes out on a monthly. basis. dude service places are still just. desperate to. hire so I mean again maybe Atlanta's. just one of those Pockets or maybe the. pocket in Atlanta that you're looking. for is just one of those Pockets within. a pocket I I I don't know I got hired at.
a bar place like a restaurant lounge. situation sure. um that was a terrible terrible toxic. environment like my manager was like. slurring junk huh he was yeah like he. would be drunk drunk oh that's SAR okay. it's like people leaving smoking. drinking everyone's like drunk and just. for me I just felt like I couldn't be. around that because as a bartender it's. just like you get sucked into that. okay a lot and I I'm not going to lie I.
have before and it just becomes a. constant cycle of like you have. addictive Tendencies um no but if I'm. going through something to cope yeah I I. just I would just well I certainly don't. want you to fall into it so I mean it. makes sense yeah uh just all I'm saying. okay how many jobs did you apply to uh. yesterday yesterday at least six really. no seriously I can like show you on. indeed okay I believe you if it's just. on indeed it should have been more than. that anyway anyway cuz I could I can. easily exed all the other available.
things okay well for fast food places. man for fast food specifically go in. there go in there introduce yourself to. the manager yeah show that you're a hard. worker I don't know maybe your. applications are like I don't know I. don't see yeah and that's another thing. I'm not used to being unemployed like if. I lose a job and within two weeks I'll. have another job this is like the first. time I've been in a drought so I'm just. like it's fine it's going to work out. that's like and then at some point your. word on it yeah oh it's car insurance.
yeah that I no longer have cuz they. cancelled it uh yeah yeah cuz you're not. paying on my very last month yeah okay. car wait do you have car insurance. though. no it's. illegal so I've heard okay I plan on I. don't think we should break the law when. I get back yeah we planned on paying off. the payday loan got back. too that's true but I need this so are.
they veneers it's a bridge I got into. really bad accident when I was younger. and it knocked out my permanent teeth. so talk about that in a. second talking about student loans so. this has all been for esthetician no. so I am a habitual College enroller and. drop outer oh you got to stop that. immediately I I can't handle that that's. that's why went back to uh aesthetic. school um because I kept trying re.
enrolled in school yeah so I did. aesthetic School in Jersey that was also. a loan um I went to regular school those. were loans and then my final loan is. school. again 7% interest on a big part of. it that's not. low it's not low for huh it's not low 7%. on a Federal Loan no it's not low oh. 4600 , 68 owed.
$482 you are a Brave coming in that's um. and talking about all this you might. that's not the cuz what you had to add. the 18,000 I just took out it hasn't hit. the um the account yet so you got to add. the 18,000 for my current School in. there I feel like you know nothing in. your life except for debt feel like your. entire life is debt that's fair. I think I've been in debt since I turned. 18 you do but do you.
do I'm here so you're CH well you want. to change things but again not to be too. negative but on the negative side of it. told me you've been watching since. February you've heard other people with. payday loans if you've been watching. since February I have but you know this. isn't good yeah we can look up average. income for certain positions before we. go and sign debt you know how debt works. you know what having over the balance on. a credit card is like you know what not.
making payments is like you know what. being negative in a checking account is. like if we've been watching since. February and this is where I am a little. more upset at you because you're a. member of the audience and I I love you. for that that's awesome congratulations. thanks why not actually like follow the. talk about I'm not going to lie when I. first started watching it was it was. more so entertainment for me in the. beginning CU I was in a good financial. position because I acted like as intense. at the time when I was working and I did.
save and invest and do all the good. things and then somewhere along the line. things changed for me uh invest have you. taken out your Investments yes oh. they're empty at the moment except for. that $100 in Fidelity what were they it. was in Robin Hood it was no Robin Hood. and um I have an account with Ira with. Charles Schwab and they were all um S&P. 500 in O real o real realy or something.
like that and um I forget what the last. one was but it was recommended to me it. did really well but I can't remember. what it was cuz I took it out cuz I feel. like it wasn't enough to keep in there. so I just I took it out to help me float. along was probably. like closer to. 3,000 20. 2026 something by the time I took it out. which I also know from watching your. videos and not as entertainment and as.
real life advice that it was probably a. terrible idea how much more did you just. take out for St loans. 18 I'm just trying to mentally operate. right now that's. all also getting angry this a this is a. whole situation right. now at least I like you as a person you. seem very pleasant and we've had we had. before very much I mean you're you're.
you're a cool person uh my finances just. finances are a little less cool speaking. of less. cool h no we we'll save that for a. second cuz I forgot we have collections. yes which is not a shock unfortunately. it's not wrench Recovery Solution so. eight was this the lease break yeah that. was the the lease break but it's not. supposed to be that High um I was recom. I was it is uh what do you call it I was. told that I should seek legal advice.
because um they were receiving when I. hurt my ankle they were receiving rental. assistance you so they shouldn't it. should it should have only been uh the. two months to break the lease um which. would have. [Music]. been around. 4,000 but they added a lot of fees and. stuff or whatever they added and they. didn't um they're supposed to legally. contact me and try to get payment from. me as far as making a plan drafting up a.
contract I know but that's what's on. your collections right now yeah but yeah. I mean if if if if there is a legal. opportunity then sure take it okay uh. you know a lot of this is state-by-state. basis so um. $1,540 in collections some portfolio. recovery and Credit Management contact. contract Callers Inc uh First Credit. Services my phone just went off. what is happening copyrighted.
music no you didn't hear that did. you collections were just can you just. like with the rent at. 8,000 yeah it's a lot of money and then. First Credit Service is. $190 I'm not even sure what I'm going to. have to look back at the contract. Callers I don't know what that. is I'm not sure what that is the other. ones are familiar the other ones not so. much these are all old um credit. cards that one I don't know what that is.
I have to check on that one first of all. I just realized you know we're. approaching like six o'clock our time. drove like 15 hours to be here and a lot. of people drive here a lot of people fly. here like you were going to go home. you're going to go I'm not going to. allow that it's just it's too late it's. too dangerous I don't want you to do. that so I'm going to put you up in a. hotel and usually I don't like. selectively like you know put people I. just like let's let's like try to. survive to pay off this debt you know. thank you I appreciate it I I'm used to. doing things like that are you willing.
to sleep in a hotel yes I'll I'll get. some actual sleep good I was just going. to jack up on more Red Bull and coffee. and make the drive. no yeah negative $85 and 16 seconds in a. checking account yeah that's been our. way for a. while probably since like June because I. have like a I had a lot of like. subscriptions on there I wasn't using. the account but I wasn't paying. attention either and um. when when she asked me for my documents.
and I happen to remember the app was on. my phone and I saw it and I was like oh. but I haven't done anything on there. since. June so it's been negative since. then negative oh we are through the debt. we're all through the debt right we. don't have any more debt what's the. interest rate of your car. 26 okay what okay no that might be too. high that might be too high I think it's. like. 16 16 it's still pretty high. what's better than 26 it is better than.
26. $326 in our checking account oh wait no. no it's negative. 326 yeah about right we started with. negative 309 then $2,000 came in $2,000. now great went uh what the. is I mean why are we zaling it just. because I don't really use my Chase. account so I just send my money to my. actual I use Capital One you zelling to. yourself yeah literally oh yeah it is. your name okay mhm um but we're.
overdrafting that's from the payday. the're 320 payday and no but selling to. yourself like Zell a few hundred less. but if I do that then I can't pay. like yeah I have to choose I get it it's. reversal of a. thing monthly service. fee PlayStation Network oh yeah I have. to I have to cancel that I didn't.
realize that was still coming out yes. you have to cancel that yeah I haven't. even we're over drafting sorry we're not. making our payments on things we're not. even paying for car insurance right now. yeah we're canceling PlayStation oh I. got to go don't think it's a choice. Dasher direct spending okay so this is. where you an account for Dasher direct. mhm opening balance 25 cents closing. balance $0 60 bucks came in but where. did it. go.
taquitos what. is oh the electric company why do you. pay like every second of your life. because it's like a prepaid thing so I. was broke then in order to start up a. new thing they wanted like 3 something. dollars I obviously is isn't the place. isn't the place uh your ex's cousin. sister yeah I'm responsible for the. electricity there God are you. responsible for the Starbucks and. burgers and. McDonald's and some store some. shop one Roy oh Roy yeah it's delicious.
if you never had it like a Caribbean. burrito great great thrilled I usually. buy a lot of it most of the time because. I feel like a bad mom if I don't I kind. of why fast food just like a treat cuz I. cook a lot I do cook a lot nice but like. I just feel like sometimes like he. deserves Chick-fil-A or McDonald's every. now and then okay what about like making. a cake or something you know we made. brownies the other day oo they were.
disgusting oh well you know be a better. C A lot of it is me just all the. directions yeah pre-bagged stuff yeah. there there's options here I mean treats. treat treats are good but treats can be. cheaper and more affordable Yeah by you. know making something nice what are you. figure out what the fa favorite meal is. figure out my son is very expensive. taste his preferred meal when I ask him. what he wants to eat is.
steak okay wag you steak to be exact I. don't make it I've never made the wagu. steak but I do I do I do make this Ste. he's 13 get him got steak tell him it's. wag and he won't know I feel like he. would he he might but also tell him it's. wagu and then he'll never want wagu Oh. that's oh he's right there though so. that's actually pretty smart. though. yeah I am so glad I am so glad that. we've at least gotten to an account.
where you have. $362 positive well across your savings. and money and my son's account so what. savings the money account is my son's. account why does he have an account he's. 13 e8th grade because I used to give him. like allowance and then when his family. members send him money I just put it on. his debit card okay well that's fair. yeah but allowance like okay in the. treat thing it's just I I I get it it's. like this is something that I just want. you to do this is like basic that I want. you to do buddy if we're not making. payments if we're taking out payday.
loans if we're we can't even afford car. insurance we're driving illegally which. could you know bad consequences. expensive tickets that you certainly. won't be able to pay for yeah it it. doesn't exist yeah it just doesn't exist. because this is really not a choice I. mean he hasn't gotten allowance in like. three months probably but that was why I. got the account well certainly what is. the choices Wendy's and paner bread and. some Taquito and we're doing quad pay. we're doing quad pay oh guess what we're. doing um not another quad pay but Best.
Buy video game that was a cell phone Z. money out you got a cell phone for. $25 yeah I. um I kind of detoxed and got rid of my. iPhone for a few months and got a flip. phone. taquitos t uh well that this other one. might not be uh there's the electricity. more quad pay zelling out money there's. the electricity getting some. sarb's do that was like rent though it.
was like 25 bucks oh was that rent no. quad pay Mickey D's again they should be. paying you door Dash they should be. paying you you cannot afford a $44 59. Cent door Dash you can't it doesn't. exist it doesn't I'm sorry. taquitos SK Beauty. Supply I I resorted to doing my own here. instead of paying like $250 a month so. like I was on YouTube watching I just.
did that two days ago really you're bald. I have really short hair now oh I'm used. to that though I like my hair short sure. but I was trying something you're paying. for a credit report I don't see the. point no way your credit's halfway de. they they. that Experian uhuh is a company because. I've tried to cancel with them several. times and every time I log in they'll be. like oh error with your account error. with your account and then I'll get a. charge to uh what is this is this Chase. Capital One uh tell that to Capital One. like report it yeah I'm gonna have to.
they credit card but at least with this. just be like yo they're not allowed to. charge yeah quad pay Amazon Amazon. flower child it's really flower. child Chipotle Best Buy quad pay quad. pay Fresh Market is that groceries yes. seven bucks yeah that was it was lunch. electricity. bingo bingo oh yeah oh yeah quad pay. F yeah the guy I was dating was really.
sick so I I wanted to be nice and get in. so far because he sends me a lot of. money but you said dating well was he. broke up like a week ago I was going to. say that's a great way to get free meals. yeah he usually does he usually does a. lot for me but yeah it doesn't matter. but it's fresh so I'm going to ask it. anyway cuz we're here why'd you break up. communication my communication sucked. fair play quad pay quad pay McDonald's 6. T fls oh that was for his birthday and. they did like a payment plan for me oh.
no so this is another debt so it's a. what 15 bucks for how long um it should. be done this month happy birthday mama's. going to get out of debt so she can. maybe afford College happy birthday. Mama's getting out of debt so that you. don't have to support me when I'm were. supposed to do Universal Studios but I. couldn't afford that no you're supposed. to do nothing cuz you can't afford. anything I'm sorry I mean that sounds. like the dickest thing ever said I. sounds so mean I sound so evil saying f. no no no but again you have $100 in.
savings I do not want the kid out there. to have to take care of you when you're. 70 it is not his responsibility to have. been born against his will to have to. financially support now will he of. course lovely dude met him yeah great. you know I take care of my parents too. even though they didn't tell me to I. would yeah but guess what that is your. choice that putting on them by choosing. this instead of taking care of your own.
life right now you got to you just got. to be an adult for the first time in. your life you just got to be an adult. it's not a choice at this point I feel. like you got to be an adult okay yeah. what I feel like I am an adult oh okay. but like for I don't know you told me. before the episode started that you feel. like a child yes but not when to cancel. my finances like for the last two years. I really like was on and then this all. happened in less than a year screams. immaturity then yeah it was like a. spiral and it just got worse and worse.
and I just some Farmers some Talk of the. Town crap and quad pay and Amazon and. Paramount come on come on. Paramount what why quad pay Fresh Market. $2 again I think you're just going in. there and getting a drink come on yeah. that was an energy drink quad pay stop. it no more energy. drinks $40 in the child's account. savings M just goes in out in out in out. Ed with 276 I am glad to at least see.
that okay uh 401K 169 bucks can't really. see what that is fundrise you did. fundrise I did okay well we got. 156 yeah I stopped putting money in. there yeah so we have like $220 for. savings bull kidos like 12% plus eating. out 10% so 22% to you bad stuff when. we're only putting 18% towards our debts. can't even pay our debts I mean do you.
see why I feel like I'm giving up. because this is like the percentages. like you're just like what are you doing. yeah let's see other large purchases. cell phone repair but you switch to flip. fil anyway yeah the B&B Studio the. beauty supply come on Experian credit. report I know and then the U-Haul that's. all 16% the housing. is that number that number should be. bigger why what's your rent 11100. what yeah how much space do you get.
you're splitting it with someone we live. in a big house how many rooms four. bedrooms three and a half bath how how. many do you get one for him one for me. okay two options that exist that I would. rather you not do but do exist. bankruptsy it exists won't take care of. the student. loans you can let things go into. collections haven't fall off in seven. years won't really be able to do. anything credit wise either of these. options so for a long time plus. technically they could come after you.
legally doubtful because it's they're. not going to get much for it car could. re be. repossessed I mean there's options here. these are options before we go into. hopefully what we can do student loans. won't be covered by any of those by the. way which is your biggest balance by far. and is also a big monthly bit biggest. minimum monthly. payment and high interest rate as well. not low interest rate so let's see what. came in so we had wisely comeing what is. that oh I was working like 80 hours a.
week I was doing B&B studio and working. at Amazon and they um had like a day pay. a daily pay thing oh gosh no yeah Amazon. service groupa you doing some driving. for Amazon MH Amazon Flex. okay uh stripe what came in through. stripe oh um who pays me through stripe. instacart okay M uh well that's a refund. there that's also a refund you did a. little bit of uber 25 bucks yeah Uber's.
kind of sucky where I live zalis is. being given. money body. n Body Body and Balance that's where I. used to work so that one's dead so the. big one's dead cuz that was like 75%. yeah I got my last check from them like. last. week okay but last week I made $400. without trying with my gig apps so like. with trying I can probably hit like six.
I want you to Gig everything what I. don't like is how many miles are on that. car after this drive. 105,000 yeah I mean the the money and. maintenance and gas and all that did you. calculate that versus your 400 or yeah. because I use I use the stride app and. it does all that math for me oh you're. such a pleasant person you're so nice. your kid's a really pleasant person too. thank you I want you guys to do so well. my goodness you have so much of life. left to live this is a lot of this is.
behavior again uh about 30 about 35 to. 40% that's been. a stuff that was completely. unnecessary. um OB so there's two things there's. there's that behavior issue related to. whatever whether it's cope whether it's. just addictive Tendencies whatever it. is that we we just need to take control. of immediately cuz is you simply can't. afford a single dollar of it and I know. that's so harsh it it is harsh but the. real reality is unfortunately harsh and.
it's irresponsible of me on side of this. table to just be like oh I wish I wish I. wish I wish you could have money so go. just go do it everything should be fine. I want you to feel good you know I wish. you could so just go do it yeah that's. not going to be a thing oh crap that's. okay to totally natural reaction to feel. I'd be be crying over there as well and. by the way the conversation I'm having. with you is the exact conversation I. wish someone had with me over a decade. ago and I would be having the same. reaction because this is the part of. Kitchen Nightmares essentially where we.
smell all the nasty food and like gross. okay get your together yeah so seeing. all this put in front of you totally. natural tissues right there if you want. them thanks um and I get what you're. feeling I get it and we have a kid to. take care of and there's just so much it. feels like life is against us right now. I promise there's a way out of this if. you're willing to work your off for a. bit I promise you there's a way out of. this yeah let's talk about the. aesthetician thing cuz that could be a. future uh future income Source what were.
well New Jersey you know oh first of all. it's just more expensive up there so the. pay was probably a little better but I'm. not 100% sure it's just a guess m what. do you think you could make conservative. give me conservative what do you think. you can make. esthetician monthly basis conservative. um I did I never worked for anyone when. I I always worked for myself oh okay. yeah I made um my first year I made. 50,000 um on my own like Prof profit um. I want to say for Atlanta just because. it is like a did you pay taxes I did I.
did pay taxes I did um H&R black did it. for me but I did pay my taxes and. um Atlanta I probably can make more. because it's a more of a beauty Hub. there like where I where I am and the. connections I've made there so far will. benefit me greatly so I I definitely. think conservatively I can I can. definitely hit 55 next year okay I do. that's huge that's game changer yeah I. know it's another Interruption but you. can get $5,000 by listening to the end.
of this right now if you transfer your. portfolio to Mumu which I personally use. for my individual stock picks you can. get up to $5,000 it's literally free. money and an amazing investment platform. and it's what I personally use so check. it out in the description below I highly. recommend it student loans I'm going to. calculate what they would be they're. going to be more. like uh 700 when they were about to come. on they were they were actually only 482. yeah like that yeah that's going to be. about 700 yeah so you try to get on some.
income plan or something but even still. if you're making that much money at that. point it might it will be lower but so. Deb. 1450 car insurance what was your car. insurance before uh it was. 289 put 300 but I got it might be more. now I got a speeding. ticket yeah the quote two days ago and. it was at 3:30 gas how.
much with the apps now maybe like 45 cuz. we're going to calculate that against. your income just normal when you're. aesthetician oh okay uh $50 every two. weeks $100 a month okay food uh how's. this done in this in this in this house. I get food snaps that's how it's done no. no no how is food prepared how is meals. prepared in this house with all these. different people it's just me and him. she's not there for majority of the year. Well food stance if you're making. $50,000 a year at that point oh at Oh.
you mean like in the future yeah they're. going to cut it I can't give you a plan. right now cuz you make nothing so I'm. going let's get this esthetician let's. survive until then by grinding grinding. grinding and if we're making $50,000 a. year before I also have an interview. tomorrow with Panda Express as a g for. general manager position oh very good go. and go through that whole process cuz. that can actually be a pretty uh decent. career I've Heard lots of good reviews. yeah it has a great starting salary so. obviously I enjoy. for you both I'm doing 450 for.
groceries what it's more like. five I'll do five okay he eats like a. linebacker it's just one of them but he. eats a lot to paper money 150 that. includes like school supplies includes. what you need sometimes it going be. lower sometimes it's going to be higher. it's just the extra mundane blah blah. blah you're you're going to go through a. budgeting program which is like the best. that has ever existed in the history of. the internet trust me we went through. them all you're going to go through it. you'll help divy out those categories. better cuz it's going to be a full the.
full program is designed for your. situation so you're going to build on a. more concrete budget we're just we're. trying to get a loose picture right now. just seeing what we can do okay what. exists on Bill I got that down to 70 72. a month down to 72 yeah I was paying. like 100 cuz you're paying for phones. yeah but it's almost done I think I have. $160 dude when you're done with that go. to Mint okay go to men man okay yeah. yeah I tried but my phone was locked and.
T-Mobile was like pay your phone off. once you pay it off switch to men I mean. you can use my thing and it's like 30. bucks oh 60 bucks cuz his phone is not. coming on my plan well you can we can. you just shop with options exist with. them okay utilities you got to pay gas. um uh just electricity electricity right. how much of that um last month the bill. came up to after they add all my. payments 150 you don't have to pay for. gas or for uh internet no. okay rent debt car insurance can okay. rent is insurance I don't have that yes.
you do now it's $30 okay what are you. doing for health insurance for you and. the kiddo uh Medicaid yeah yeah I do. what um what if it doesn't show up on. your credit report does it like that's. not a full credit report that's like. Credit Karma pull you need to pull like. an annual free credit report to get like. an actual representation what I have. medical debt how much. 8,000 for my. I injured my ailles in a hospital for a. total of like 4 hours and that was the.
bill. so health insurance dude I think again. I'm going off of wi you're esthetician. I'm going to do like conservatively. 300 so is it that much I've never had to. pay for health insurance oh my gosh yeah. oh and it's going to be for kiddo too so. I mean that's being generous the state. of Georgia covers the state of Georgia. covers all kids like no matter what. until there until. well like while their kids like no. matter income MH they they cover the.
kids the kids have to have insurance in. a of Georgia 300 then that actually. seems a little closer to what it. actually might be what else do you need. to survive what am I missing anything. medical anything anything anything to. survive can we just throw an extra $50. in a a month for the duration of my. program because unexpected like expenses. come up you have to pay for the like. there's like random field trips and. supplies they want us to purchase gosh. 50 yeah $50 $50 is good so you need.
4,232 to survive J Christ yes and we. brought in 400 on a good week. ho oh what did I say 4,232 yeah yeah. $5,700 a year and that's without you. setting aside money for taxes so this. isn't this isn't working this isn't. working this isn't working so when. obviously scrape survive until then I. don't know how um obviously first and.
foremost you know you got to pay for. food so pay for food just when it comes. to things you're going to start paying. on the surv while you're surviving while. getting through school and you're just. going to do it regardless so that's is. why I'm saying until school's done got. to pay the electricity bill got to pay. for food got to pay for roof overhead. after that debt payments I want you to. make them but if we can't we can't I. still I think how many hours a week are. you doing this school 24 24 25ish okay.
then you're working an additional 40. hours a week but then it's like not that. not that I don't. okay what Mom guilt I I've been dealing. with that a lot yeah so it's hard like I. don't see I don't have kids but I'll say. this I'd have Mom guilt if like I can't. afford to survive yeah so survival comes. first okay and I'm sorry again that just. comes off as like slap slap punch punch. I'm sorry but there is the reality of. like we got to survive like well you. work you're not working while he's being.
homeschooled yeah I just try to get home. and help him out and by the time I get. home cook clean but I know it but just. like listen I just have to be real world. about this we just we can't afford that. okay we just can't you need to work in. the times that you're teaching him I I. get is there a specific no he's. independent like they set up a whole. curriculum and he does his curriculum I. just check everything to make sure that. it's done and correctly and he okay then. you better be going out and working 10.
hours a day okay you spend a few hours. at home it sucks it's temporary yeah it. sucks it's temporary listen I mean we. could just say no I mean the your your. your answer to that was no I'm going to. I have Mom guil I'm going to spend more. time okay then we're just not making. payments and we just can't afford to. live like that's the alternative yeah. like you you do understand that right. that's basic math at this point I I do. understand something has to give I was. just trying to make that not be the. thing they had to give but well what. else is there I mean it's income it's.
income's your issue right now income in. Behavior you need to cut everything back. the budget I gave is your minimum budget. you're spending on top of that like. crazy so it doesn't make sense math. isn't mathing you need you need need to. make money now the S edition thing it's. going to help it's going to help mhm wo. um that even then you're going to have. to work probably double the hours and go. bring in an extra minimum $20,000 a year. so that we can make progress on this do.
you think that like if I did the. interview tomorrow and I crushed it and. I got it and I got my minimum salary of. 72,000 do you think I should keep that. even you're going to go through a. program and stuff it's not going to. start right away like that probably no. but I think the program is only eight. weeks like the training program right no. if you crush it and you get it I would. drop out of school really I was thinking. like no no if you can balance it balance. it if you can balance it balance it but. right now money is more important cuz I. want go to school Monday through. Wednesday well so I can do Thursday. through Sunday and Sunday through Sunday. you're not surviving so like if if you.
can balance it yes do it do it seriously. if if you can balance it do it if you. can't we're picking surviving even when. I get my my license I should probably. still keep a job with that salary that. consistent salary and use my Aesthetics. one I was thinking to do that if you can. sure but just yeah it's money right now. it's seriously money I don't want to be. a go chase the money kind of guy in. every aspect of life but right you need. to because there's nothing there's zero. Z and we owe debt $450 a month and.
that's not even including the. collections of medical debt. and yeah okay and the back pays that you. owe on a lot as well the insurance. credit cards family members so yeah what. how much do you owe family members why. did you not tell me I asked if you had. any because it's there's no obligation. like you owe it well do you owe it yes. there's obligation how much do you owe. obligation. um. 20 please say 100 please say 100 oh. 3,000 thought you're going to say 20,000.
no no no no 3,000 who do you owe this to. my mom my brother a little bit of my kid. and um a cousin the you mean by. Kid yeah I I had like negative balance. in my account and I needed groceries. before I got food stamps so I I took. money out and yet we chose to spend. about 40% of you're making immature. choices you're not acting like an adult. I need you to get together now I need. you to go work your I need you to stick. to this budget I need you to hopefully.
get the job tomorrow if you don't you're. working still working many more hours. than you would like to and it sucks I'm. sorry it's temporary getting the. esthetician thing making $50,000 a year. making an additional $20,000 a year. working your stuff every single second. of your life until you pay this off. until you get a fully funded emergency. fund until then and then after that. contributing 20% to investing but all I. am saying is right now the math is not. mathing you're spending 40% on you seem. like a pleasant person I I like you. you're cool I'm rooting for you I'm. struggling to see the way out if if you. continue down this road there is no way.
out there's dying in poerty Walmart. floor crazy endless I'm sad it's sorry. I'm sucks what the wars aren't even. making sense anymore so please get it. together if not if not for you for your. kid at the minimum because he deserves. to live a good life you could cash flows. College if you get your together it'd be. hard but you could actually do some real. work MH get it together now I will I'm. going to make you proud do it come back.
on here I will come back on here show us. yeah I'm I'm going to get it together. it's not something I've always worked. two jobs I just recently stopped doing. that and I I don't know why I spiraled. as much as I did I think it was just. more so me um trying to positive flow my. way out of things because I'm used to. things just working out for me I'm not. going to lie but yeah this is I've hit. rock bottom and um I hope so this is. actually not I hope it's actually rock. bottom that means only up from there. please cuz if you if you continue of. what I'm seeing it's not Rock Bottom.
