Pathetic Loser Is “Too Good For Work” | Financial Audit
I cashed my 401K out, had a big amount. of money. I know. I already bought a. PS5. Great. And a I played video games for 9 weeks. No. And I went through my whole 401K my. 401K is gone. kidding me? It's gone. You are borrowing from your retired. elderly parents. DISGUSTING, IMMATURE, BABY, CHILDISH. YOU. HI, my name is Mark. I am 46, currently. residing in Austin, Texas, and this is. Financial Audit. So, what do you do here in Austin, Texas.
for a living? Right now, I am a full-time Uber driver. Um. regular Uber driving and Uber Eats and. and the such. Lyft as well. Yeah. And. then uh acting on the side. I bet. everyone who's ever been on this show. has Uber Eaten from you cuz they Uber. Eat every second of their lives. Better. not see any Uber Eats in here. This is. insane. Uh. Uber driving, okay. Well, how much are. you bringing in doing that? Uh Uh well,
uh I would say on a good. week, anywhere between 650 and 750. Okay. And that's across all the. different Uber variations. And driving variations and food and. Correct. Uh I I. Correction, I tend not to do Uber Eats. that much cuz it doesn't pay that much. for versus the mileage you have to go. for an order to take it to there. Yeah. I know it was great during the. pandemic, but I think Yeah. But. recently, it's not been as good. But. obviously, you have gas after that and. maintenance and everything.
Yeah. So, what do you think actually. comes Okay. I look at your income. What was the largest piece of incoming. money? From this month or for On the most. recent month, the statements that we. have. Okay, that's. uh. It probably the largest thing was. probably about uh it's going to probably. show like $597. on there. No. The largest thing that came in was a.
payday loan. A payday loan disbursement. Oh. Okay, well, yeah, that's that Yeah, that. was a little bit larger than the than. the other one that was on there. Yeah. That was the largest thing. Yeah. Yeah. Me Okay. Well, okay. So, unknown. transfer in of 209, what was that? Um unknown. just a transfer into your account. It's. $209. We don't know what it was. What. what was that? That was that was uh. God. Uh that was money from uh my dad,
actually. He he uh Hold on. How long have you been Ubering cuz. something's telling me it's not working. out to pay the bills if the two things. I've called out so far are not income. Well, I mean, it is working. It is working. The problem is that it's. summer. payday loan. I took I did take out a. payday loan. I I did take out but hold. let me but um it's summer time, college. is out. It's slowed down significantly. So,
maybe we need a job that's not so. seasonal if we're taking out payday. loans. I am. Wait, what have you been doing? And then. you said part-time acting. Okay, how. much do you bring in doing that? Uh in. in May, I brought in about 2,000 on. that. Um. May. uh May, June. Well, okay. We're looking. at June cuz there's nothing that hit. your account that's 2,000. No. Uh June, it's also I've only done a couple of. gigs. um this month and they only How much.
does that make? Uh about 300. Okay. See, that's you know, we've had a. lot of people on the show who. I am getting an agent. Uh. You're getting an agent. I have a I have a interview actually. tomorrow with a large Dallas with a. large agency in Dallas. Okay. So, hopefully that will. We've had a lot of people on the show. who want to make it in that industry. from and you know, a lot of people in. the audience that want to make it in. that industry. And this is it's a big. thing. For some reason, people are. moving to Austin to make it. That. doesn't make sense to me, but whatever. Okay, I want to I want to help you get.
to your dreams if there's a way we can. get there. But we're taking out payday. loans. We're taking money from our dad. Uh I'm. I don't think Uber is what's going to be. what pays the bills if we can't pay our. bills. What How long have you been doing. Uber though? I I have been doing Uber. about 5 months. Okay, what were you. doing before that? I was working at. FedEx Express. Okay. There we go. That. sounds like a job. What happened? Uh I. hated it. Um Do you hate paying bills? No, I don't.
hate No, everyone hates paying bills, but. No, I don't hate paying bills and you're. and you're right, it was a good job. It. was How much were you making? Uh I knew. you were going to ask me that. Um Well, yeah. And you're going to. Welcome to Financial Audit. the response response to me on this one. Uh 2379. an hour. Okay. 40 hours a week. 40 hours a week. Good health insurance. Paid time off. Uh paid paid time off. Okay. So, probably making like 50,000 bucks a. year.
45 to 50. What? But in my defense. mic right up to your face. In your. defense, what? In my defense. um I've been act I've been part-time. acting, starting to delve into that for. about. a little over a year. Okay. Started to. get so busy that I used all my PTO and. sick time to pursue it. Which is great. Which is great. I I had to have a major. surgery. go. Dreams. Let's go. I had to have a. major surgery. So, I was off work for 6 weeks. It was.
paid time off work disability. Yeah. And. I thought. I just I I have two bulging discs in my. back, all this stuff from lifting for. cuz I worked for Amazon before that. Okay. Um and um. I decided, you know what? I need. something more flexible so I can pursue. this. I had a buddy that's been doing. Uber for 7 years. Said making his living doing it and I. said that'll give me the flexibility to. do it. I'm going to do it. And Caleb, let me tell you. it would have worked out. I cashed my 401K out, had a big amount.
of money. I know. I know. But I but but. but but but but here's You're going to. You're going to kill me on this one. Probably. You're going to kill me on. this one. You're not going to like this. don't have a weapon. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. It's a long story, but I I I. Well, what the. No. What? Okay. That's not how this works. So, I used to. be a full-time partnered streamer on. Twitch. Okay? What? Yeah. This is when I lived in Arizona. before I moved here. So, um and I'm I'm like jumping back and.
forth. Wait a minute. What were you doing? Full-time on Twitch. Yeah, you were full-time on Twitch for 2. years. Full-time partner streamer on 2. years. Okay. You've been everywhere. What the So, how much were you making. doing that? I was making between I would. say on a good month. top ending about. five to six, low end three to four. Okay. That's that's making a living on. Twitch at streaming. Yeah, it it was. Yeah. Um What were you streaming? Uh I. was considered a variety streamer, so I. did open world RPG games. Um.
I basically. gave my whole soul and life to that, so. I ditched all my friends. Yeah. I ditched everything for that. And uh made it to be doing it full-time, but I basically was just me and my space. station in my living room with just I. had no table, no It was just my space. station and just me and the internet and. my moderator Discord. My I mean, it was. it was great, but 8 to 10 hours. streaming a day. Oh, yeah. Uh I had no life and I just. got burned out of it. I felt like.
stopped? everything. I've also been clean and. sober for over 12 years, so the stuff I. do to keep that, I discarded all that. stuff. Okay. That helps me with that and. Was there a better content strategy that. we could have adapted to? There was. Because again, you're literally. borrowing money from your dad and taking. out payday loans and. I think the pay that came in was like. $500. Like I And That's so different. than making at the top end 6, 7,000. hours a month. Yeah, well, I mean, it's.
It's a little bit of a hiccup right now, but I think we can get past it. I mean, the way I'm thinking but I realized what. I did wrong is. got the chunk of my 401K when I quit. FedEx. How much was that? Uh I ended up. with around 5,250. after they took the penalties. And And here's what I did. How long were. you doing Twitch? I did Twitch for 2 years. But then I moved here. Um And I know that a lot of people that. are streaming full-time, it's like it's.
seriously like crazy crazy crazy hours. and you give up. you give up so much of social life and a. lot of things. Now, I would have rather. come up with a different content. strategy than just giving up cuz where. are you not Do you have anything Uh. Well, yeah, you do have something in. retirement. Let's see. What is it? Oh, $200. Okay. So, that's. I can I Yeah, I Yeah, well, that's. That's that's going to be zero. Oh, yeah. When did you just pull 600 You just.
pulled 6,000 out? I No, no. I pulled that out like. four and a half, five months ago. Okay. Some reason, it's still gaining money. Oh, this is it's Well, it's showing it. from the year. Okay. So, when I pulled it out, sorry to go. back to this, but. when I pulled it out, I would have used. that for my nest egg and then I would be. driving Uber and making six to 700 a. week, so it was like great. But I. decided. Before gas, before maintenance. Before. gas and maintenance. I decided. I haven't had a console or you know,
indulged in video games in 3 years, so. Oh, so let's do it when we have to pull. from retirement and make no money. I I. bought a PS5. Great. And a 4K 240 hertz um. HD monitor and. I didn't drive for 9 weeks and I played. video games for 9 weeks. You know what? Uh no. went through my whole 401K and my 401K. is gone. kidding me? And so then I realized I need to start. driving. But I have the candor, but this. is the most that's the most childish Why.
don't you at least stream it? Why don't. you at least stream it for 9 weeks and. try to get some tips and donations? Because uh Cuz now, unlike when you. stream, there's all these different. areas you can stream on, too. Well, I. don't have a webcam anymore. I didn't. have the money. Okay, I think if we went. into have a I don't have a computer any. I don't have a gaming computer anymore. So, it's just too many factors. a. computer. Well, honestly You can stream from. PlayStation these days. You can. You. can. You got to buy an extra Excuse. Okay, okay, you're an excuse just bundle.
of excuses. Sure, whatever. Great. know. if I would call it that. I would just. Well, you just had to make a thousand. excuses why and probably none of them. are valid. If you can go spend on a. PlayStation 5 and all that and you can. stream from your. PlayStation, you could have got a $25. webcam and you could have been. streaming. Yeah, but you got to make it. look good. You got to make it look good. You do, but you could have at least been. trying. So, you literally drained your. 401k. Sat on your for 9 weeks playing place. What are you even playing? At least let.
it be something good. Yeah, I replayed the. uh Oh, it's a replay. It's not even a. new play. Well, you know, last of us. replay? Okay, I I replayed the remake of. Last of Us 1. Okay, all right, all. right, all right. Last of Us 2 that they. upgraded for Yes. all right, all right, all right, okay, okay, payday loan. Hey. Payday loans. What? I don't know what you mean. I don't know. I don't know. I don't. know. Okay. Well, I appreciate you. trying to be a part of the conversation, but that was Yeah, that was a little.
awkward. This that's just dumb. The GreenDot transfer, is that. work? The Uber? That is GreenDot. transfer is Uber. And then what's the Venmo in of $589? Uh. That's money that I. uh borrowed from my mom. Oh. Buddy. I I mean, I didn't know I I I I uh. are killing you. I want you to get to. your dreams, too. You're just doing it. in a stupid way. Listen, okay, what.
about the Cash App in of a hundred. something dollars? Cash App of a hundred. um. That is um. total over the course of the month. Cash. App of a hundred. um. Total Cash App in was $117.90. What was it? Uh 40 of. cat Wait, no, Cash App. Oh, oh, oh, 121. That Cash App that was from an acting. gig. Okay. So, actual earned income was like. 600 bucks and then you.
$750 payday loan. 209 from dad, 589 from mom. You can also. check out the link in the description. below. Because you're trying to become an. actor. So, we go from the streaming and. then we go to an actual job. Well, I. mean, streaming was a job. You made it a. real job just like I've been able to. make this a real job thanks to you all. And then you're like, "Okay, done.". Fine, that's your choice, but you. replace it with a good job making.
$50,000 a year with benefits. And you're like, "Because I want to be. an actor and it's a little hard with. this job and I barely make any money. doing it. Let me go make no money.". In what world? Your parents How old are. your parents? Cuz you're 46. How old are. your parents? um in their. in their 70s. And you're taking money. from them. How does that feel? Cuz I would feel. disgusted. Personally. Now, if it was to help you. in a certain situation cuz you're going.
through a rough time, that's different. But this is your choice. This is very. much your choice. You are choosing this. Well, well Oh, come on. Well, it is kind. of a rough time. I mean, I had a Yeah, by your choice. Well, well, not. necessarily because I You left your job. I did. But I actually had a plan when I left my. job, which which if I would have. followed it, I wouldn't be I wouldn't be. in this situation. Well, yeah, you sat. on your for 9 weeks. So, what was the. plan versus what happened? I was going. to keep the that five grand as a nest. egg and then start driving Uber while.
I'm doing self-tapes and applying and. auditioning for roles. But that way I'd. always be ahead. I'd have that five. grand. I'd be making 650 to 750 a week. It was going to be great. So, what what. happened after the 9 weeks? What made. you finally decide to get up from the. couch? I. the the the gaming is. it got to the same feeling I got when I. was streaming. I I had it and I was like. doing Is it drinking? I felt like I had. my fill of it and I couldn't it wasn't.
it wasn't filling the void anymore and I. was like, plus I need to pay rent and. bills and I'm not I'm down to my last. mini skill amount of money. it. had the same feeling of when you were. drinking and stuff? Or were you. drinking? No, I wasn't drinking. No, I'm. still clean still clean and sober. Um Okay, happy to hear that. Yeah, thank. you. I appreciate that. Appreciate that. But um. I realized I need to start uh working. I. need to start getting off my And so I. sold the PS5 and the monitor. I mean, I.
didn't make the amount of money back. that I paid for it, but. that's something good, you know, I took. that step. This is like a. That was just That's like the worst part. of everything. we Okay, shut up. That's. not true. Sorry, but that's not true. This I mean, you literally Okay, let's look at the. first document. It's not that bad. I. mean, that I can't. accept. I will accept, "Hey, you got up. and you tried to do something. That's. good.". I will not accept borrowing $750 at 680%. interest rate. I don't think that is not that good.
I I will not accept that that is not. that good or not that bad, sorry. Okay, well, what was I supposed to do? Just. Work like an adult, like a human that's. 46? Well, I Like a mature person, like a. big boy? No, kidding. Well, I I've been applying for jobs and I've. Okay, what do you mean? You said you're. Ubering and you're trying to act. What. do you mean you're applying to job? What. does that look like? I'm putting in for. part-time work right now. Part-time? Why.
part-time? So, I can supplement I can still do. Ubering and do part-time. to do Ubering? You're not making anything. The car. you're doing it is insane, by the way. No, I know. And. uh. I just uh you know, you got to you got. to follow your dreams, man. You only. live once and I I my body is racked. I'm. not I'm not delivering packages anymore. I'm not going to drive around in the. 985°. heat. Um You're right, you only live once. So,
sacrifice just in case you live longer, but if you die today, you won't know that you sacrificed and. didn't live your dream cuz you died. So, may as well bet on the likelihood that. you're going to live a while and make. sure you actually have a chance for. retirement. Cuz you only do live once. And I would rather you not spend the. rest of that under a bridge, which is. where you're headed. Yeah, well. Well. Yeah. I'm not against your dream. We could. have done this We could If we sat down.
before you quit, we could have literally. come up with a good way to do it. I, again, am blessed to live my dream. I decided not to do this in a stupid. way. I ain't quit my full-time job until. I was able to do this full-time. I know. it's different than acting cuz acting's. relying on these other gigs and you ate. up your PTO, but maybe we're finding. different job strategies. But the Uber is clearly not working.
65%. of your money or something like that. came from either parents or payday. loans. This is not working. Can we agree. that this is not working? Um. I Oh. Well, I. hold on. I I I can agree with that. halfway, but but part of it why it's not. working is cuz I'm not actually. I'm not actually getting out there and. doing it. Doing what? Uh driving. So, so, so. So, so, so maybe maybe maybe How many. hours a week are you driving? Oh, the.
last. I've slacked off this last month. you. lazy? Why do you not care? not lazy. You. But you would No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. What are you doing. during that time? What are you doing. during that time that you're not. driving? What are you doing? Honestly. As honest as possible. Oh, um. Hats off. This is a big thinking. exercise. Um. What am I doing? Yeah.
Um. Applying for other jobs, auditioning. for roles. the whole time? Literally the. whole time that you're not driving. you're Watching YouTube. sitting around doing nothing. Okay, there you go. So, to be clear, You No! So, to be clear, you're borrowing from your. mid-70-year-old parents so that you can. sit on your. In the end, that is how that has worked. out. Selfish child, immature baby.
That's a little harsh. I don't think so. Taking from your 70s, your mid-70s. old parents, you can start taking from. your tax-advantaged retirement account. at 59 and 1/2. Social Security. retirement age is mid-60s. They're mid-70s. They're well within. where they should just be enjoying the. good life. You're taking from them so. you can sit on your. You're taking them for them so you could. play PlayStation for 3 months. You're. taking for them so you can pursue your. dream instead of allowing them to live.
theirs. Selfish child, baby, immature. Okay. You disagree? How could you possibly? I don't know. Grain of the beard is supposed to mean. wisdom. I'm not saying it. Um I would say this. is just I mean I this is the first time. This is the first time I've been in this. situation like this. I've never borrowed. money from any of my family. what? You are. But I am. So So I. wouldn't call myself being childish. I've I've worked my ass off my whole. life. Where does that lead us? $200 in a.
retirement account. And no money to our name, payday loans. So that we could sit on our. ever taken out a payday loan. Doesn't. matter. You're 46. You have a payday loan. You. have no money in retirement. I don't. care what has been. I don't care if you. made a bunch of mistakes in your life. and you're incredible right now. I would. reward you for being incredible right. now. I don't care incredible your entire. life and you're doing horribly now. I'm. going to talk about how you're doing. horribly now cuz that's all that. matters. Why would we go and give hugs. and high fives and. blow bubbles and have rainbows flying.
all over the room for what happened 10. years ago. That's not where we are. You're taking from your your parents who. are in their mid-70s right now. And borrowing payday loans because you. don't want to get off the couch. Self-assessed, where do you think you. are on finances? Truly, where do you think you are? Zero. to 10, zero being the worst, 10 being. the best. You know how this goes. Um. I would probably say I'm at a. four. Every time they know how it goes and. they Okay.
No, four four's reasonable. Four's. reasonable. You have a payday loan. Okay. Four. If. you want your Hammer Financial score, it's free in the description below. And if you have payday loans, let me tell you. But you're also an. interesting individual and uh you know, you like to They're not that bad. What? Who? The payday loans. Just feel. free to apply to be on the show. CalebHammer.com/apply. Boy, okay, you were about to ruin me. there for a second. I'm glad you decided. to have a moment of.
attempted humor. I wouldn't. Seeing how again, so you borrowed $750. The minimum monthly payment for 12. months. is $194. You're going to pay a total of. $2,522. from that $750. Are you at least making. your minimum monthly payment on this? When did you borrow this payday loan? Um. about two speedycash.com. speedycash.com. speedycash.com. Don't go to that site. It was speedy. anti-sponsorship. Uh I about two three. weeks ago. Um Okay, so you may So your.
minimum your first payment's probably. coming up soon, right? Uh the 17th. And? And I'm not going. It's 2 days. And that's why the interest rates are so. high on those, by the way, cuz like no. one ever pays them. pay it. I mean I I don't know I don't I What did. you use your money on? What did you use. your parents' money on? my rent. What's your rent? Uh 1,290. Boy, you're bringing in $500 from work. off.
What are we doing? You're you're you're. you're you're you're not allowed to. you're you're not allowed to leave your. job with a rent like that. That's you. just can't. Again, we would have. strategized. We would have gotten you. into a cheaper living situation. Maybe. you're doing a like hostels or something. so you could grind it out your dream, make the sacrifices necessary. But. you're doing the thing where you are not. making the sacrifices necessary while. also trying to live your dream. It's. insane. You're willing to sit on your not work. and also keep your crazy rent.
while pursuing it? That's not how. that's not how we pursue our dreams. We. sacrifice. I I I. um Well, if you're going to tell me. you've sacrificed, I would like to hear. that. Oh, I would love a good comedic. bit right now. I mean I I've tried. Uh. Uh the first couple the first two or. three months I've been able to make I. was able to make it.
You know, and I just figured uh. the acting would pick up. you mean first few months? 3 months you. sat on your and played PlayStation. Making it by draining your 401k? What. are you What are you What are you. talking about? Well, I was still able to. pay my bills and live. Yeah, because. your 401k, but not because of earnings. That's That is That's true. Well, no. Thus, that's why I'm looking for. part-time work. Oh god. Part-time work, buddy. You're. doing. Ubering right now and you're bringing in. $500. I don't know if part-time work's. going to get you to your rent. Unless. you're working a lot of part-time work,
part-time work full-time. Oh, this payday loan? You I want to make sure Do you know the. payday loan's bad? Uh. Cuz you're It's not that It's not that. bad. What What do you mean? But you But But. But. Okay, I explain, please for. please. Well, I mean. I I I'm I I'm pretty sure it has a high. interest rate. I would say I would. gather. I already said the You probably don't. even know cuz I already said it, but. what do. It's probably like six.
Oh, but 16, 17%. Buddy, I've said it already. Are you. here? No, wait uh. Oh my gosh, are you. No, I I No, go ahead. Go ahead and tell. me. I I I I. I I I What was your addiction of choice. back in the day? Um uh uh alcohol. Wow, okay. I'm glad. you're clean. Yes, thank you. Just. wanted to make sure you were like. weren't smoking right now because I. already said the. Mountain Dew, but I mean that's not.
really medicine. It's the closest thing to it in the. world of pop. 600. Oh, buddy. Buddy buddy buddy, we're. going to get there. We're going to get. there. Sorry, a little bit of caffeine in me. Just had to had to myself up there. But. honestly, payday loans. 680%. Well, if you pay it off What is well? Are you paying it off? You just said. you're going to miss your payment. What. the Well, here's the thing, Caleb. If I. get Stop looking at the producers. Look. at me.
Okay. No, I was just Okay, sorry about. that. If I. get off my Yes. And drive five to six. And how's that going? Well, it's not. it's. it's not going good right now. But I also have a bunch I mean I have. This is going to sound like I'm whining. and complaining and I'm not this kind of. person, but I have a bunch of medical sh. that continues to plague me. I don't. know if you know, but I had a major. surgery five months ago where they. You said that.
Okay. your discs in your back. No, like I had a colon resectioning. where they cut a section of my colon out. and resitched back together. That's why. I was off work for six weeks. It didn't solve any of the problems. I. don't have money to pay any co-pays to. go get test they want me to get for. So I'm just I guess I'm just. you on any of the exchanges? You can. apply for that if you like fall out of a. job. You didn't get fired or laid off. though, so it's different. Yeah. I don't know if you're able to say. a loss of job without saying why on the. exchanges, but you could have honestly. gotten free health insurance. Well, I. have I do have health insurance.
Oh, okay. But it's through Oscar Health, which is. a. no-name whatever insurance. So I mean I maybe we just ride this off. into the sunset till my intestines. explode. Who knows? Is that a thing? Potentially? I don't Yeah, I I. At this point I have no idea. I mean. But that's neither here nor there. I'll. get that's It's not a medical. thing and I don't need to bring that up, so I'll let you get get back to. 684%. That is high. Mhm. Unless you pay it off immedi Unless you.
pay it off immedi Okay. It's not going It's. not going well. Okay, sorry. Yeah. It's 684 you said, right? Okay. Let me see. Give you a box of crayons to draw all. over it. That helps. That's a little. remember. a little harsh, bro. Come on. If you. need a circle the interest rate. Well, that's it's there. Capital One.
Yeah, Capital Yeah. This is new? Uh uh I wouldn't even. recommend the Fizz card to you and I. recommend it to everyone. I just don't. trust you. It's good for people out. there, but It's about a month old. So you did just open it and you. immediately put $334 ON THERE. OH! NO, YOU DID IT. YOU DIDN'T MAX IT OUT. YOU OVER MAXED IT OUT. HOW How dare you. allow you to spend $334 when you had a. $300 credit limit? What happened here? Um. What happened here? I.
I don't know. I don't know. Um Oh my death. Oh my. death. I want to. Well, no, hold on. Let me Let me um Oh. Okay, so I was doing an Uber shift and. uh I I think I had two like close to $3. left on it. And I needed gas. And I knew. I knew as long as I had somebody on. there would let me use it. Um. So I had to fill up my tank with gas. We have a taser in the office for. protection and I want to use it right.
now because that was a big lie. You're. going you're getting wings. You're. stopping in a store getting some bullsh. Getting some barbecue chicken, stopping. in a store getting some bullsh. Stopping in a store getting some bullsh. Panda Express, stopping in the store, stopping in the cafe, stopping in the. store and cafe, stopping in the store. and cafe. And then you're gas. So now, you put all the money on there, the vast majority of it from.
What? We got to eat. Oh, don't you dare. I swear. I mean, I Don't do that. Just Just shut. up. Just don't even say that. That's not. even Those aren't even words. Those. aren't even words. Well, they are words. I haven't heard someone say that in a. hot second. I I honestly thought we were. kind of done because I mean, the a lot. of the people who come on the show. that's like, okay, they you know, they. watch a couple like a month of episodes. And I guess we haven't had someone say. that in like a month of episodes. So I'm. just going to.
You have to eat. Yes. Pack a sandwich. Pack a sandwich. Pack a. sandwich. Get a. thermos with ramen in it. Do soup. Gum. Anything. Air. Eat air. You're. You're right. You have to eat. Not. stopping every second of your life to. eat. And eating out, it's so expensive the. way you're doing it. You max out a. credit card. Took out a payday loan. Reminder in a.
way in a way of how you are doing this. is you are borrowing from your retired. elderly parents. to go to Panda Express. In a way, that. is how that works. Disgusting. IMMATURE. BABY. CHILDISH. you. I I can see that. Good. In a sense. Okay. In a sense. You're a defensive one, aren't you? Okay. No, well, okay. I I I hear what. you're saying. There's all Well,
there's also another. Capital One card. I We're getting through the debt. Okay. It's a 30% interest rate, and that's. going to start. nailing you. Well, and you're also going to get. probably fees for being over the credit. limit. $25 minimum to payment anyway. That won't even bring it below the. limit. Going to take a few of those. 30%. 30%. Still worse than what you. thought the payday loan was. I don't. know what you think. I didn't even know.
that was at 30% to be honest with you. Not does just I. genuinely. feel like you don't. care about your life. No, I do I do care about it. I I do. I. just feel like You're not acting like. someone who does. Your choices are not. indicating so. I just uh. I just don't know what I'm doing. anymore. I just feel like I I I just. feel like there's no way to get ahead of.
any of this stuff. They're They're I just feel like it's uh. uh What are you going to do when you get. evicted? Cuz that We're talking that soon. Like, there's only so many payday loans you. can take out. I don't know what the. situation with your parents. And we have a lot of bills to go through. still. And you have a ginormous rent. Yeah. What are you going to do when you. get evicted? Uh that's a good question. Live in your car? The next payment we. have to take out of cuz that'll probably.
Um Well, I don't think for long cuz this. one's going to get repoed. That's going to get re- I Well, that's. another thing, too. I mean, that's what. I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. There's so many things that have just. piled up where maybe it was stupid of me. to leave FedEx Express. Maybe. Well, we're using the word maybe. It wouldn't. have been stupid if I would have. followed my original plan. I I kind of disagree though because it's. stupid to pull from your 401k. That was. your That was your retirement. Living. off of that isn't going to do it. And. don't tell me that's just the nest egg. on the side while I work. Because.
you're doing the work right now even. though you're not doing it as much as. you'd said. Even if you do it as much, I. don't think with your rent and your. minimum to payments you'd be able to. afford to live. I don't think that I. don't think your plan would have worked. Even with seven I mean, cuz there is a. week I can show you that I mean, there's. week I I I usually average about if I. worked six days on Uber. Now, this was. during the fall when everybody was here, but I would make $750 $800. doing auditions then if that's the. dream? Cuz you Because you do them. during the day.
So you Uber at night? Yeah, I would have. to Well, sometimes I would do day. shifts, and then I would I would go from. like 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. And then you get off and do self-tape. auditions at night. Um. and send them in and stuff like that. Maybe it did or maybe it didn't, but. also that's in the past. That already. happened. You're right. Yeah, you're right. Now. we're talking about potential repo. You're still a few months away from it, but I mean, I think I'm. 50 days behind on my I mean, they're. going to eventually repo. Yeah, I'm. I'm basically sparing my. you going to get to auditions? How are.
you going to drive Uber? How am I going to drive Uber? How am I. going to get to auditions? How am I. going to It's just falling apart. And. basically at this point I'm. 46. Why Why aren't you doing anything? I mean, I Well, I I. I am. I'm. Where are your parents? Uh my mom's in San Francisco. My dad's. in Oregon. Okay. Do you have friends here? I'm with one. of my brothers out here. My little. brother. Could you guys live together? You need to decrease your.
ran- ranch out in Dripping Springs. He's. got three kids. I mean, we're pretty. close, but um. I I No, that's the other thing I'm. looking into. Okay, listen. Yeah, I was. looking trying I'm. roommates or get a cheaper place. Uh I. have a buddy from Arizona that was going. to move out here. He was going to come. and live and share rent with me. Um that fell through. He got got out of. a 10-year relationship, got all messed. up in the head, and he's. going somewhere He's going to El San. Diego now. So, that's not going to He's.
not coming out here anymore. Okay. I mean, there might be like. roommate finders. I need to do that. I. need to do that. Dude, we had a guest on here. Not that I. would encourage it necessarily, but at. the lowest of the low, there's like. housing for people that have been. through eviction. You know, you live with a bunch of. people. Not doing that again. You did that. Yeah, I lived in a halfway. house for a year. That was the last. time. Well, I'm not Again, I'm not. saying that's what I want. I was just. saying like in the extreme case. You. just can't pay your bills, and I don't.
in the car-dependent infrastructure we. have, a lot of the jobs are going to. require you having a car, and you losing. your motor transportation is going to. make it very difficult. Um. you don't have to tell me what area town. you live in, but like. you can bus a lot of places here, and. you can train in some specific areas. But I think things are going to get real. complicated real quick. Yeah. So the. car, let's see. Oh god. What is the car? It's a 2011 Toyota Camry XLE. Camry. Okay. Miles? Uh 113,000.
How is it? It's good. It's good. Um. it was kind of an impulsive bu-. buy. When? Uh about 2 years ago. Okay, they didn't. sell it at value. No, it's. Sold it way above. They must have. Cuz. you still owe $14,025. With a $440. minimum to payment, of course you are. back multiple payments. You owe. $1,714. That's a 17%.
Yeah. 17%. 2 years ago. Ah, man. So a really exciting thing that. you guys should be thinking about is we. now have all these extra things with our. YouTube membership program. You can sign. up for our post show. We talk about. extra drama for the episode that we. didn't have a chance to dive into. Why. would I want more than one stripper? I. don't even want one stripper. You don't. them. You just touch them and you. move on. I want to do that again? Because it's. fun. Is that? And it's awesome. You're good.
Eat, bro. How is Caleb as a lover? I'd. give a solid nine. Wow. you get to a nine? I just don't know how to answer that. because I mean, I just do. I just do. For the upper tier memberships all the. people from the crew from over there, they come together, they make crew cast, and then they talk about the. behind-the-scenes content and how we do. everything here. I don't want to. contribute as much because I'm already. so much on camera. That is the greatest thing I've ever. heard. Twice a month, Noel and I come here, we. have a live stream with you guys, and we. hang out with you. We answer questions.
We chat it up. We talk about the show. We just have a good time. Caleb reads that book every day. I. actually wake up, and then I go into. that book in the good stream. And then. most exciting, right here at this table. with even more pie charts, we have an. exclusive, uncensored, and free. financial audit episode for the top tier. members that no one else gets to see. anywhere else. Consider joining because. ad rates are always up and down. We're. trying to build something great here, and I wanted to make sure to provide the. best content and the most amount of.
content that's ever been in a YouTube. membership. Link in the description. below. I had a perfect thing it's worth. Uh it's probably eight. Five. Five? You're underwater by $9,000. Yes, I am. I mean, it's at 17%. It's $440 gone. Yeah. You know, if you. get repoed though, I mean, they're only. going to like get rid of it at auction. It's probably probably get three for it. You're still going to owe $11,000. I have a re- Yeah.
Like, the repo's not going to really. help you. No. Like, nothing's. I mean, I. I had it The car I had before. No, no. You're acting like a It's a. child in life. I don't know. I don't. know. I think I think like this was the. biggest mistake you've ever made was. leaving this job. Biggest mistake. I mean, honestly, no. Huh? I. I don't I don't I think it was a. The only way I think it was a mistake.
was in the fact that I didn't follow. through with the plan that I had. designated for myself. If that makes sense. Or maybe I'm just delusional. I'm trying. to. tell myself that to make myself feel. better. But if I would have followed the the. plan that I had, uh I would not be in the position I'm. in. because you're a child. That's what I'm. saying. Okay. You didn't. So, 17% a car, you're $9,000 underwater, and you're missing your payments for. like 3 months.
Okay. Okay. What is this? Okay, so you did you you. borrowed. and it's uh some loan from a bank. Yeah, that's. uh that's a loan from my bank, actually. Okay. It's a for what? I'm I'm guessing just to survive. Yeah, exactly. Right. No, well. a mess. It it it. it's. It it was a loan to survive and uh.
I kept up on the payments with that. although they're behind now, but And the. bounce isn't even crazy, man. If I If I. just get you in a place of work. Like an. actual. job, you could just pay off the $237.80. Yeah. $33 minimum monthly payment. What's the interest rate on this? I. don't see it. I don't know cuz it's. through my It's attached to my bank. account. So, when I applied for it, it's. like a thing on online where you go on. and they give you. 12%. It's it's high. I think it's Do you owe.
money to the IRS? Oh, yeah. Oh my gosh, it's all the way back in. 2014, 2015, 20 WHAT WAS HAPPENING? WHAT. WAS HAPPENING DURING THAT TIME? What are. you doing? Well, uh. Yeah, cope life your way through that. My goodness. Those are years that I um. I was working at what I had a good job. I was working at Wells Fargo. It was. personal banking. You've done everything in the world, apparently, and you can't commit to any. of it. Okay, good. No, no, not every not everything. That's. because my true calling is not any of. this garbage. But anyway, I get it. It's.
fine. Um And now you're going to I. claimed to exempt for like 6 years on my. taxes. Exempt. Um. to. um. to try and. um. get as much money as I needed. uh to get to to to to get me ahead even. way back then. Get you ahead in what. ways? For what? Like what was the play? What was the play? to not be uh in debt anymore. To not to.
not be struggling all the time. Even though I was making. then, too? So, this is just a lifestyle. This is just your life. Okay, look. Yeah, your life is just Okay. It's been. up and down for years. I Where's the up? At the beginning of. when I graduated from school, Oh. 2004. Okay. Um. and I got that job at Wells Fargo. I. initially started off great. I had a. budget. I wrote everything out. I I.
followed it to the T. know how to budget. I know how to do it. Then. Okay. I followed it to the T, and then I was. making more money than I ever made. So, I started getting I would have like. $1,000 left over after all my bills, and. I just started. buying And then got into the. credit cards. I got credit cards. I. started. putting it and it just I just um. got my eventually stopped doing my. budget and just let everything get out. of whack and then just got into this. cycle where it's just Here. Can I tell. you something honest? Up and down. Uh.
And I'm 46 now, and it's come to the. point where it's like. uh. I'm doing I don't know. Let's just get. my car and drive away. I I don't know. I. mean, that's a 12-year-old way to think, but like It is, and the car's not going. to be there. It's true. It's true. It's true. I'll tell you an honest. truth. It's It's a brutal honest truth, but. honestly, I really have no filter, and I. just kind of say whatever Go ahead. Go. ahead. You're kind of my greatest fear.
Oh, how so? 17 years. Like doing well, starting off well, budgeting, doing all. that, then somehow cuz we're both. creative people. It sounds like you. you're doing streaming, I'm doing. YouTube. I used to play made my living. playing music in Arizona. That's why I. went out there. You are my greatest fear. What? Sitting across me, I'm terrified. It It. terrifies me. Yeah, dude, you're doing you're not. going to You're I don't know, man. No, you've got it all You've got it all set. up, bro.
Like you You did it. I don't know, you did, too, on on. Twitch. I'm just saying this can happen. to anyone. Your mistakes and everything. cuz you think you have it all figured. out. You have your budget, and then you. just make these life choices. Uh they're what Yeah, they're. like I'm looking into like a future. mirror, and it's scary. It really is. I'm. Yeah, I'm sorry. Don't mean to scare. you. No, it's not about the It's It's. just. I don't know. You owe IRS debt from 2017.
from 2015 to from 2014. I mean, that was. the year after I graduated high school. You're still You're You still owe. I'm. old. You know? Yeah, look at I mean, that's 12 I owe like 12 grand. And why. haven't you Have you made any progress. on that? on it Yeah, I I had a CPA in um. Arizona, and he went back They got me on. a payment plan. And I was on it for a year, and they. were supposed He was supposed to renew. it for me in a year. And the guy never. called him up and did it. So, it went It. fell apart.
you? I I I I I was. was this? Um. When did he not? That was That was That. was about. When was this? Okay, okay, okay, okay, it was about 12. years ago. Okay. So, why haven't you Why. haven't you done anything in 12 years, again? Because I was. Being a child. I know, but then COVID. hit, and they weren't. worrying about it. Well, guess what? That's all done. Yeah. So, I don't have the money I don't have the. money to pay anything.
You're right, you don't now. I'm just. surprised you haven't done anything in. 12 years. I mean, I can't I How am I. COVID was 4 years ago. So, there's a lot. before then as well. It's almost Well, yeah. Honestly, you might be able to claim. some hardship stuff. But I don't know though cuz you didn't. lose a job. You quit a job. I did quit it. I did quit it. And not in a good way. Not in a good way? Well, did you go out like guns a. blazing? Um No, I I was on. long-term disability for the.
uh. surgery, and um. I just called him and said I'm never. coming back. Great. For your career stuff, we obviously need. to talk about this in the end, but what. I'm happy to do just like for any guest, um I'm happy to offer you. to go through a certification of your. choice at Course Careers, which is great. for tech certifications. I I don't think. that's the world you're in, but I do. offer that to you. You can gift it to. someone if you'd like as well, but for. being a guest, you do get that. What is that? What is that? Um.
So, the certifications that you you can go. through courses and get certified in. something, for example, accounting is. one that they offer. Then you can have. that on your resume. Really? in that. Yeah. So, we can gift that to. you. That's kind of cool. Usually, they're like resume boosters, really. They're. resume accelerators. Okay. Is this additional taxes to Arizona? Oh, god. Um. Oh, oh, god. I did send you that one. Okay. Um Are.
there things you did not send me? No, I. sent you I pretty much sent you. everything. Okay, what did you not send. me? Um. St- Stuff that I can't that I couldn't. find anymore. Oh, things that are so old? Yeah. I. don't think they're. I think they're gone. I think they're. gone. One of them's an eviction and a a repo. Um. You had payday loans from Arizona 12. years You were taking out payday loans. 12 years ago? Noah's telling me. Um Oh, buddy, so this is just your.
behavior forever. No, but. Forever and ever. But it's not that I I. I. Hm. I see that's that's what scares me. about just potentially never changing. We can send you through the budgeting. program, the investing program, which I. encourage everyone to go through. We can. do all that. That's I don't think that's your issue. But the thing is I I can do it. Huh? I can do it. I know I can. don't know. It's just like but for 12. years you've been taking out payday. loans. So, what's going to change? I. could get you to open a Moomoo account,
start investing. I could get you to. switch over to Helium and spend $20 a. month. I could get you to do all these. resources that we've accumulated to help. save money and make money. I don't think that's your issue. You've. been borrowing for payday loans. No. No. What do you mean forever? 12 years ago, you were taking out payday loans. That's. what you told Noah over the phone, according to I did tell Noah that over. the phone, but that was once or twice. Okay. Look, but you just took out a payday.
loan last month. I mean, we're just. It's just like that's a part of you. But hey, that was like, you know, a good. good amount of years in between that. Okay, why do you owe $5,120. to That is from. Arizona. Okay, that is from COVID. That is from. being on unemployment. Um and they. I was being on unemployment. They were. offering an additional amount plus the. regular unemployment for Arizona.
I feel like you're doing You You're in a. new part of life every 6 months. No, it's great. Okay, don't be a dick. Okay, yeah, no. Um. You going to be a dick? What are you. going to say? No, no, no. Um. You can be a dick. I can take it. No, I'm not I'm not I'm not trying to be a. dick. I You're I I probably using that. as a coping mechani- coping mechanism. and defense mechanism because you're. probably right in the sense of. And I've had other people tell it to me. before. Um It is like a It is like a.
roller coaster. It's like a Yeah. roller coaster up and down. That's from. Um. being on unemployment, getting the. benefits during COVID. The extra amount went off for a period. Remember when they dropped that off for. a little bit? So, then I was like, I get. a job. Got an over-the-phone job. Um. So, you got that job job because of. unemployment? I Well, I I had I was.
working in behavioral health for 6. years. Um What It's just another thing. It's another career. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I did that for 6. years. I was good at it. What I was. You can be a dick, but you can't hit the. table. Oh, sorry. No, cuz of the not. Yes, sorry. It's okay. I'm sorry. Sorry. Sorry, sound guys. Um. Yeah, I mean, I was in that, but I hated. that. I don't. I've never liked any job I've ever been. in because I always get. So, what's the What's the O though? You. were just getting more? And you Why do you O? because.
So, I got a over-the-phone job customer. service through a company called. Affinity that does like cell phone. customer service, whatever. Still. collecting unemployment during that? Um. Good. Good. Well, hold on. I I I I I I. didn't necessarily. stop making my weekly claims. Um So, you stole from the taxpayer. I don't know if I put it that way. I. would. And then you also take money from. your parents.
Okay. Well, hold on. Oh, you're right. Your life is a roller coaster with how. many times you say hold on. Okay, well, stop. There's. um Okay. Hold on. No, but so I only went through the training. part of that job, and then I quit, and. then they then they said, "Hey, you got. another job. We can't give you benefits. anymore." And that's how much they said. that I over they overpaid me, but that's. outrageous because they only gave me two. payments. I didn't There's not $5,000.
So. I'll be honest, I'm And this sucks. I. hate that I feel this. I'm just going to share it. I'm losing. hope because like you try to make it. through training. You didn't do that. You've been like 50 different. jobs in like a year. It's just It's just. so. sit on. I'm sorry, I interrupted you. To see. what? I mean, do you want to sit on the. phone and talk to people with their. stupid cell phones? no, no, no, no. Well, uh no, I didn't do. that, but you know, my first job down. here before I was able to get fully in.
sales, I did have to do some customer. service as well. And I hated that. Guess what? I also uh. wanted to get out of that. I wanted to. live a better life. I wanted to have. retirement. I wanted to be able to pay. bills. I wanted to have my car not get. repoed. I didn't want to take money from. my parents. I didn't want to take out. payday loans. So, I chose the adult. ACTIVITY OF MAKING MONEY, making. sacrifices. I know. So, I don't give a if you wanted to or. didn't want to. I know. It's. What is this? What is What is this? Uh didn't get the care you need. This is.
health? Uh that's medical bills. Yeah, that's medical bills. So, we have a few of these. There's a. lot. Okay. Yeah, they kind of built up. Okay. Let's just add these all up. All right. Usually the ones I let sit. till the last, depending. 1,893. 439.74. 403. 10.
Okay. So, those are the last of the. medical bills. Just three? Uh are there. more that we just don't know? Uh Are on payment plans? I'm assuming. not cuz you can't even pay rent. No. Okay. $2,736.65. That's Yeah, that's medical. Yeah. Okay. Well, I'm sorry with what you went. through. What happened? It's um well, from sitting around on my. for 2 years gaming um and streaming on. Twitch, I got.
and being 40 when I started that, I got. uh digestive issues that turned into. from sitting? Yeah. It was from sitting, not exercising, literally I'm an animal. when it comes to it. Like I can. game for 3 days straight without moving. or doing any I mean, it's disgusting. Um. And then eating at. 5:00 6:00 a.m. in the morning, fast food. Uh doing that for 2 years and not having. any type of social life and just sitting.
around it messed it up. I uh. stand again when I say. I'm afraid. I'm being you. No, no, no. Cuz I like. the game and I eat bad things. Well, no, but but you. No, no, but you. But Yeah, I don't know. Actually Actually. Actually, YouTube is a probably a better. platform for gaming than Twitch, I don't. honestly. Anyway. And Twitch is dying. We had our first member stream last.
week. If you want to join us in our. member stream every other week. Oh, really? to join us. It's pretty fun. Oh, cool. Yeah. I'm I'm I'm It's really I think. it's great what you're doing. It's kind. of an inspiration, dude. You You're. You're doing what you want to do. It's. great. you. You've given me hope to at least. finish this one out. Yeah, hopefully. $633. Is this collections? Yes, sir. Um. let me see this. First National Bank. Yeah, that's a credit card. In collections? Yeah, in collections. Okay. 633. How long have these been on, do you.
know? Um. probably. 2 years. And they're also probably the. last ones we're worrying about as well, but that's okay. Uh 481, another collection. That's another credit card. Okay. And. payday loans go on there soon. I'm sure the balance of the car will go. on there soon after. they. Well, is there any way for them to not. repo it though? Is there any way for. Yeah, you make your payment or you run.
Maybe I could hide it somewhere. You can try. I know the guest talked about that the. other day. It It doesn't work too well, though. Refinance the debt? I can't do it, man. I mean, I'm telling you. I mean, your credit's probably horrid. And they don't like right when they when. they ask for your. What's your credit score? Uh You have. unemployment. My credit score? Yeah, what is it? Um. I don't know. This We had a Credit. Karma. Yeah, it's bad. 560. It's bad. It's bad. It's not It It's not good.
It's. So, I'm just I'm a little just It's. embarrassing. It Sure, I get that. I'm. just trying to figure out a solution for. you. I know that you're It's. complicated. Cuz. I don't know. You've built these. routines and acceptabilities over the. course of decades now. And you're not 25. in this mess and we can start correcting. things now. You've been doing different. versions of the mess for decades, and. that's a hard thing to just fix. You'd. have to essentially be starting fresh. I would like.
50s, and you literally have like I mean. You want to retire mid-60s? It's It's. just so. That's why I'm hoping. time against you. That's why I I'm. hoping that if I get get this get an. agency and get an agent, I can start. getting roles that pay. you done? What have you done? I've done I've been in. um 11 short films, one commercial. And. how much have you been paid total across. all of that? Um probably 4,000. But it's been a little over a year. But.
a lot of this Some of them I had to do. for free to build my port to build my. um. portfolio up. You says I mean, some of. them you have to do for free just to. a beyond competitive world, and I I'm. not saying you can't make it. It's just. beyond competitive. You need to pay your. bills. If you can't get to an acting. gig, I don't know what's going to. happen. If you don't have a place to. live, I don't know how you're going to. get roles. It's just I don't You're. You're headed such a down a dangerous. path. I don't think you even understand. Uh your checking account Oh, me. At the.
time of this statement, you had $2.61. available. This is just insane. Going in. a store getting some crap, going in a. store getting some crap. Past due. collections set up. Just $71 in your. checking account. Kill me. So, essentially like overdraft, I think. Go inside getting some BS. Go inside. getting some BS. Coat and tie food. Go. inside getting some BS. Go inside. getting some BS. Incoming wire fee great, $15. Go inside. getting some BS. Go inside getting some. BS. Go inside getting some BS. Go inside.
getting some BS. Jack in the Box. Go inside getting some. BS. Go inside getting some BS. Oh, $8. from Uber. Woo. And got some coffee. Got. some coffee. Go inside getting some BS. Go inside getting some BS. Go inside. getting some BS. Go inside getting some. BS. Go inside getting some BS. Go inside. getting some BS. Amazon. Go inside. getting some BS. I don't If we can't pay. rent, I don't think we're doing things. off of Amazon. Jack in the Box. Go. inside getting some BS. Airport. Who are. you traveling to? Um Airport quick thing. Oh, maybe it's. something on airport or Well, I don't.
know. Yeah. PayPal out. Jack in the Box. Go inside. getting some BS. Oh my goodness. Uh go inside getting some BS. Jack in. the Box. Go inside getting some BS. It. looks bad. And there's your collection. offset. Yeah, if they put in 15 bucks. and then they this. I It's just And then as we talked about. the retirement, what was it like 25. bucks? This It's just. What's your relationship with your. parents like? How is this going? How is. this How are you like, "I need money, mama, daddy.". I don't I don't do that though, honestly. I mean, well, I well, I I I.
did did do it. I did do it. Okay. Um So, answer my question then. Yeah, it's. What do you mean relationship as far as. like. Buddy, you're asking your 70-year-old. parents. What do What do they think? How. does the conversation go? My dad's fine. Uh we get up He uh. Ah, in a way I'm kind of like my dad. though. It's honestly my dad's. It So, we Yeah, my dad's if he had more. money, he'd give me he would give me. what he whatever he has. He's a good.
These are. relatively. helping you. I don't think it is. No. It's allowing you to not get a job. It's. enabling you. Well, if I could just if I. could just. I'm almost glad I'm not glad for his. sake that he doesn't have more money, but for your sake I'm almost glad he. doesn't. Well, he's. pretty much being taken care of by. somebody else in his own life anyway cuz. Sure, sure. I'm just saying for you. For. my my for myself, if I could just get a. chunk of like five grand and then so I. Oh, yeah. If I could just get a chunk of. like five grand just so I could. clear some stuff and be fresh and start.
over. I don't think that's that's not. going to happen. It's not going to. happen. One, that's not going to happen. I'm not going to give it to you. If I. thought it would change your life, I. would actually give it to you. Like, sure. Let's Let's help a dude out. You're right, I'm not. Like, you don't. have to convince me not to. I'm not. going to cuz I don't think that would. help you. You've been taking out payday loans for. 12 years. Sure, big gaps in between. them, but you've done you've changed. careers every 6 months. This doesn't. help you. That's not what's wrong with. your life. Your What's wrong with your. life is you don't stay anywhere. You. don't.
You have to change everything. immediately. Always. Like, you're always. onto the next thing. And then you're. just willing to lose everything for. whatever your brain is set on in that. moment. Um. I. It might be like that whatever it's. called like the addiction offset where. you just get out addicted to the new. thing. And I think you might have a very. addictive personality as such as I do. and you get your brain fixated on. something and you're just like. into it because, you know, you've given. up your addictions and sometimes those. are displaced onto new things at that.
point. And you're just all And obviously. I can't diagnose that as like a mental. health expert, but you know, just. reading it from the conversation I have. It's. And I That's I don't think the $5,000. would help you. It might clear some. minimum payments. Might delay getting an. eviction. Might delay getting a car. repoed. But I think you'd be right back. there in 3 6 months. I I don't I really. don't think it would do anything for. you. I. It. How would it do anything for you for. you? I don't think it would. feel like it would.
um. It would just give me some room to be. able to be like, "Okay, now I feel like. I cuz I feel like everything's crashing. down. There's no I mean, what. what am I going. do? I'm going to go out and drive and. make $150 today, tomorrow, whatever. Well, no, you have work experience. You. have a very long resume. I I've done a. lot of I mean, you didn't even. mention I mean, I've had over 50 jobs. probably my whole life. I'm not surprised. I don't think. anyone's surprised. But behavioral health, who the. wants to work on a psych unit? I I did. that for 3 years in the community.
at this point. If. clearly your want to be more happy with. your where you're showing up to get your. bills. is more than your want to actually fix. your situation. You say you're like. putting your head in the sand and. avoiding this because it's all crashing. down. But your want to not do a job that you. don't like. is more than your want to get out of. that crashing down. No, no, you're. right. Well, yeah, you're. I mean, I got Which is another reason.
that $5,000 wouldn't fix anything cuz. you're not willing to do the sacrifices. that are necessary to actually improve. your life. You're not. I I don't know. Like, I am going to make. a budget for you, I guess. It really. doesn't matter cuz you don't bring in. any money. We can figure out what it. takes for you to at least live, but. Yeah, it doesn't matter cuz you don't. bring in any money. You need to get any. job. You need to work 60 hours a week. You need to. And that's not the only answer to this.
situation. So, let's be a little more. nuanced. I would leave the the tax for a bit. Uh. Well, I mean, have they hounded? Okay, then I think we can kind of risk. that a bit. Um. I think what's going to be important. Obvi- Shelter is most important. You're. going to pay for the roof over your head. and food on the table and utilities. The. next is going to be the car. We need to. make sure we get caught up on that car. because in the infrastructure we have, I. need you to be able to get from to and.
from places reliably. Sure. From there, that's when we can start making our. minimum payments on the credit cards. And then we take care of the taxes. And. then we take care of the collections. Sometimes I do taxes first, but I'm just. You know, you're going to lose like a. roof over your head and I'm a little. nervous with that. Um and sometimes the. IRS will have sympathy if you go to them. first and talk about it. It's No, and uh and I understand what. you're saying, Kevin. I mean, and now. that we're at And actually I'm glad.
that all this stuff is out here and. looking at it because. um. It is. uh Maybe let's. that stuff I don't want to look at like. you the way you put it. It's just like. going like. living my life up and down and not. sticking to something. But but in my. head it equates like sticking to. something, but then I'm sacrificing what. I really want to do. It's like, why the. am I. sticking. to this when it's Cuz you matter. Your. life matters. all this and chase it, but. I'm stuck at.
full Well, I don't know. Many people. stuck at. full time at this place. How the do. you do it? of actors who make it are you know, you. know, who have made it are just making. like a living off of it. You know, they. don't get famous or anything. Right, that's all I want. all you want. And that's still a small. minority, but doesn't mean we can't get. there. But your. This is going to make it harder for you. to get there. I I'm just trying to think. about your finances. And in general like. you I mean, you need to retire. And. people have made it when they're old. You know,
Yeah, that's true. Um That's true. I think We almost I I usually never. encourage it. And I don't really know. uh bankrupt. Well, bankruptcy is a potential. solution. Um but we also might just not pay the. cards and let them go to collections. Cuz we need to pay rent and car bill. Rent and car bill. And eventually the. IRS debt. Okay. Rent and car bill. Rent and car bill. I. mean, and I am. no way to get out of this car bill in a. mathematical way that makes sense. From.
repo or from refinancing, which you. can't do, or from trading it in and. borrowing money and getting a different. car. You're so far underwater on it and. the value of the car is so low. A lot of them are. like, "Ooh, let's you know, play the. game.". Just doesn't work. You've lost the game. Um I've lost the game. Plus when they. I mean, I could once they see what my. what I do for a living or my income, they're going to be like, "Yeah, no.". Well, you could also just be a fan and. just like work 80 hours a week. Like, I.
mean, you can you can work. I mean, you're being a child borrowing money. from your parents. Actually, and I can keep telling you. Trust me, you're not going to get. sympathy on that. You'll get sympathy on. the medical bill and sympathy how hard. it is to look at your situation. Like, I. would get sympathy on that, but I mean, you also need to work. You're not You're. not going to get sympathy for pulling. out your 401k to sit on your for 3. months. What about Ubering? It's not working. You're not doing it. I. think you need to be told when to show. up and where. Unfortunately, I think Oh god.
No. No, you're right. I've always wanted to. be one of these people who can just be. like, "Fuck, let's just go with the. flow." And it's like. I need struc- I need some kind of. structure and discipline, unfortunately. I I think and I think you're right on. that. I'm going to do your actual. minimum minimum minimum to survive. So, like I'm like I'm not even going to. include some of these minimum payments. cuz I just want you to survive. It's. Dave Ramsey's like four walls things. Um. I He probably didn't come up with that, but.
You know, that's what he talks about. So, your car payment, 455. If we at. least start making payments, we can. 4 440 and 55 cents. We can If we start. making payments, we can at least avoid. the repo. Okay, so we'll do that for. your. car payment. What's car insurance? Uh. 200. You paying it? It It is current. Wow. It is current. Yeah. Impressive. I know. I know. I'd don't. No, I'm not even going to suggest. Stop paying car. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Gas, vroom, vroom, drive, drive, how much?
Oh god. Without Uber? Without Uber, um, probably. cuz we're going to get a better job. Probably. God, I would say maybe less than a. hundred a month. Yeah, a hundred. Rent? Rent is 1290. When's your lease up? November. Okay, you're moving into a studio in the. cheapest place possible. that at all. Well, it's not really an. option. But 1290 for now. Gas, electric, all utilities, water?
Um. Yeah, okay, so it's gas, lease. Uh, water and stuff included. The gas is. uh. Uh, I mean, uh, electric is probably. like 65 a month. Water? That's included in the rent. Okay, internet? Internet is 65. And home. insurance renter's insurance? 24. Okay. And then phone. TP fund, anything else you need to. survive in life going 75 on that. Necessary food, I'm going $300 on that.
Follow our meal plan and watch our. program. Yeah. A month for groceries? Oh, yeah. Super easy. I can live off. way less than that. Okay, 250. Okay. And. unless yeah. No, you you can. We just. try to give some room. Are there ongoing co-pays that you need. to take and like prescriptions and No. Okay. Definitely no subscriptions. Do you have. any pets? I do not. No. Good. No savings, anything Oh, phone bill.
Phone bill is 65 a month. You So, you own your phone outright? Uh, I do own the phone. Yeah, I just. paid it off. Helium, $20 a month. It's not an option. Okay. You do just You really do not have the. choice of just. But I've had this phone number for. You can You can keep the same phone. number. But if you're not going to make. the small sacrifice, I've lost all care. No, no, no. No, no, no, no, I. I'm I I I'm willing to do it. Good.
I just don't want to live in a crap area. and they're crap area. going to. $2,529.55. That is the minimum we have to come up. with for you to like actually not. lose life and living. in your current situation. That's just. the car payment and your bills. That's. no other debt. See, it's crazy. That I can It's. Yeah, it is, but a lot of people make. that money. $30,000 a year in the Austin area, the.
median household income is like 70. Median, not average, median. Okay. It's more in your favor. Okay. You. literally just need to work. I know. The lowest uh the median lowest. wage in Austin is 18 bucks an hour. Yeah, 18. Oh god. 18 * 40 * 52. $37,000 a year, boom. You just made it. Well, I can make it You no longer have. sympathy. Go work. Get a job. Be an adult. Okay, well.
Well, food, you spent $243. But going to get grocery stores only 190. and actually they they weren't because. you're stopping at stores and getting. some crap, so I know it wasn't. Well, what do you mean crap? Yeah, I. know. and just getting like $5, $10 things. How much do How often do you cook? Uh, almost never. is. Exactly. There it is. know, man. I'm devastated. I'm sorry. I am sorry. You've been through a lot. and there are there are. sad things, but um.
there's so much personal choice in here. and you're reaping the consequences of. our system that is based on personal. choice. You've lost the game because. you've decided to be lazy. And that is unfortunately the. consequence. Now, the good thing about the game is it. doesn't mean you're stuck there forever. You have a lot of time left. You can. recoup your losses. You can make gains. on this life, buddy. You can make your. money. You can try to live the dream. That doesn't mean you're going to make. it in acting. You're not entitled to. make it in acting. But you can and you. do have the ability in our system to.
pick yourself back up and actually be. able to pay your bills and live a. halfway decent life. You have that. ability. You have the ability still, still to live a relatively comfortable. retirement. It will be on the lower end, but you do have that ability. It. requires sacrifice. It requires you. actually having some discipline and not. sitting on your playing video games for. three months. Your hammer financial. score, spending a budget and I mean you. spent way beyond. You had to borrow. money. It's not even It's a zero out of. 10. Paid a loan for debt, zero out of.
10. Any collections, not even close. Emergency fund, zero out of 10. You have. $2 in your checking account. Retirement, you just drained it all, zero out of 10. Real estate, zero out of 10. It's I. mean, obviously, zero out of 10. Make. sure to stick around for the post show. We'll have a conversation and dive more. into some of the more dramatic things. Well, we have the numbers here. We'll. dive into some of the drama in the post. show. So, check that out in the. description below and there's also. resources down there that I use or would. use in specific situations including the. best budgeting and investing programs in. the history of the internet. Stick. around for the post show. Today on the. Financial Audit Post Show. You were a. Twitch streamer for two or three years.
You say you were making five to six. grand a month. It sounds like you had a. lot of success doing that. Most of the. Twitch streamers we have on the show. make like $30. Killed yourself, so I. think But you got to where so many. people want to be. You know, and then my followers would. give me a hard time cuz they're going, "You need to take days off." I'm like, "That's loser talk. You don't take any. days off." But I killed myself. Yeah, you pushed yourself hard that you went. to zero. I would have rather you played. the long game.
