Not Enough To Survive, But Won't Get A Job | Financial Audit
Hi, I'm Ally. [music] I'm 25. I'm based. out of San Antonio, Texas. And this is. Financial Audit. [music]. So, what do you do in San Antonio for a. living? So, I recently just graduated from. cosmetology school. So, I am like a. licensed cosmetologist, but my real like. 9 to5 like what pays the bills is uh I. work I'm a Starbucks barista. Oh, okay. Yeah. Starbucks barista. How what are you. making per hour there? M well in. November I'm supposed to get like I. think a dollar raise, but right now I'm.
at 1545 an hour. [clears throat]. Okay. How many hours a week are you. working? [sighs]. It kind of like varies and depends on my. manager. Um so I would say anywhere. between like the lowest 28 hours a week. and the most being. 38. like it it kind of like fluctuates. back and forth uh depending on like. quotas and stuff like that. Like right. now since it's holiday season um there's.
going to be a lot more hours available. because they need more people cuz we. have more people showing up. Now cosmetology is not necessarily the. highest paying job in field for a while. Yeah. For a while. Yeah. Yeah. Getting into it. I know sometimes. a lot of people can struggle breaking. into the field and it's a lot of hours. and working with a lot of pain in the. ass. uh eventually I can turn there's. some people that uh you know make pretty. good careers out of that. When are you. going to start getting into that a bit. more? So. I really want to like take the well my. original goal was was to graduate and.
then take the rest of this fiscal year. to start working on my debt and to start. figuring that out. and then starting next year starting. looking into salons either just looking. at my options and seeing what's. available. So that was what I was. wanting to do. So you Okay. So instead of focusing on. that part of the career, we're focusing. on staying at Starbucks, making the. monies. Yeah. Making the monies, trying to like. get the debt down as much as possible. So if I want to like, you know, start a. salon suite or something like that, like. branch out on my own or put more money.
into like um like the tools and. equipments and stuff, I'm able to do. that because I'm not paying for my. credit. Why are you in the debt in the first. place? Well, 25. Not old. No, not old. Not a crap ton of time to. build up that decent. I would definitely say it was my mom's. influence because. All right. Mhm. When I was 18, it was like, "You're. fresh now. You're new now. You can get. credit cards to help me pay for things.".
To help her pay for things. Help her pay. for what? Like [sighs]. like I don't know, like the water bill, things like that. So like it stems for a. very long time. like in my family and. like having like money issues, but it. was like very hush- hush. Like no one. ever really talked about it and um like. I didn't understand it cuz I'm an only. child. So like growing up it was like I. want this or this or this like very brat.
like behavior and I would get it. So then it was like oh I'm 18. I can get. credit cards. I can do stuff. No, that's fine. But why is mom like, "Okay, get credit cards. They can help. us pay our bills. to do fun stuff.". What? Like go to Disney World. like go to. Korea, like stuff like that. That has nothing to do with paying the. bills though. Mhm. Like it would be like a mixture of. both. Like it would be like one one of. my credit cards. I have three. So one of. them I solely got because. uh I had like one like concert tickets.
for a K-pop group out in Korea. So my. one of my cards I solely got to fund the. whole trip. Yeah. And it's been maxed out ever since. Well, I'm Well, I'm not okay with it, but I understand that. But I'm still. stuck on that thing that we very much. glossed over. Mom was like, "Open credit. card so we can put the water bill on. it.". Yeah. When's the last time you lived at home. with them? Um, I moved out when I think I was 21. So, three years. Were you helping? Were.
you putting utilities and stuff like. that on your credit card bill? I'm okay. with especially Okay. towards 18. Maybe. we pay a little rent to the house. Maybe. we help take care of some of the. utilities. Was it more like that? Was it. more like please help or was it like. literally use your credit card to do. this? So, let me like rephrase it because I. think I like phrased it wrong. So, it the cards were more for us to be able. to do fun stuff because she didn't make. enough money to pay the bills. So, it. was like I have no more money left over.
So, if you wanted to go out to the. movies or go out and do that, like get a. credit card so we can go do fun things. together. and I'll help you pay it back. I guess I. I guess that kind Oh, all right. Because I'm trying to think back of like. timeline wise, like when that was. happening, like the water would be off. or like our internet or our cable would. be off, but we're still going out to eat. or. What are your parents doing now? Um, so my parents were divorced. My. dad I lived mainly with my mom. I guess. my mom. Wait, you live with your mom? Or I used like I lived with my mom. I I.
live with him now. Um, boyfriend? Yeah, boyfriends. Um, but it was just me. and her for a very long time, so I didn't really have anybody else. My. dad was in the military and. Sure. Yeah. That didn't answer my question. How is. she Is is she in the same situation that. she was before? Yeah. Okay. So, she's. But I don't give her money anymore. But she still has like utilities turned. off. I Yeah, I think so. I don't know. You. don't know. I don't know. I don't. Have you cut contact? No, I haven't cut.
like full contact, but I'm definitely. like going through therapy and stuff to. like rebuild our relationship because I. didn't realize like how bad it was until. I moved out. Okay, understood. Like about what is the correct way to. spend money on what is the correct way. to buy groceries to do that like basic. like adultting things I didn't start. figuring out until I moved out when I. was 21. Now. I had payroll come in for the month of. 1477. What is that? That's the money that came in.
Yeah.$1477. Yeah. 1477. Got it. Yeah. Yeah. That's hard to live off of. I know San. Antonio is cheaper than Austin, but. still in a major top 10 population city. in the country, that's pretty difficult. to live off of. Now, I assume you do. split rent and some other expenses with. the boyfriend cuz you said you live. together. But even still, that's quite a. struggle, especially when we're trying. to get out of a lot of debt. I mean, even the first credit card that we're. going to look at is essentially double.
that. So, what's it what's it been like right now. living off of 1545 an hour bringing in. that much a month? It's very hard. It's very hard. It's. like a struggle. Um, that's why I feel like I'm kind of like. in this like constant circle of like. paying the minimum, but then if I need. to get gas or groceries or something for. myself, which I've watched your videos, no taqua, don't do it. But I do it.
anyways. Why? Why? If you watch the videos, why? And then you come here. I will say and I know I like hate to. like play the bit but it's like I have. watched the videos for like probably. about a little over a month now and I. have cut back a lot. No. Mhm. Don't roll your eyes at me. I swear. But it's what they all say and then we. go through the things and then a. temporary fix for a couple weeks is not. a fix. It's not a fix. It's oh I'm gonna be on. camera. My statements are going to be on. camera. Let me be a good good lad for a.
second. So, I just I that's not. upsetting. It's not that I'm not happy. about that. It's just like I can't trust. that as the ongoing future. That's fair. We have a Capital One card. What would. you consider yourself a score of 0 to. 10? Like on how good. your financial score overall? Financial score? I would say a promising three. Promising three. are promising three. because I've never.
until I started dating my boyfriend. I've I didn't know anything like. how to make a budget. I didn't know. Okay, that sounds like the average. American which is totally fine. Um but. like your actual finances at this. moment, not just like your idea around. finances, like what are the finances? But strong three. That's that's fine. We. have a Capital One $2323. That's the balance, which is again a ton. for bringing in $1477. Mhm. $75 minimum monthly payment. The. payments are definitely going to stack. up when it comes to the minimum. monthlies.
70. Okay. So, this is this me all the. time and it's with me now, especially. after the spiel you gave me. And I like. people to give their spiel. So, then we. can actually look at the reality. situation like I'm getting out of debt. I've watched the show for a month. I've. cut back. This was, by the way, going. into just the beginning of this month. This is until today. Your payment was. due today on this. Uh, so this was just. happening. I'm going I I'm sacrificing. so I can get out and all that stuff. We. put a $75 payment towards it. Then you. purchase $96.84.
So immediately, what the you. why say all that stuff if the actions. around it, you're putting more towards. it by an additional $20 than you even. paid and then $52.60 of interest acred. on bringing your balance up from 2248 to. 2323. Why? You say all the stuff and that's fine.
They're words. I hope there's meaning. behind them. But then you go in your. actions within the month that you were. watching and you're like, I didn't spend. the money. Give me some words. Words. Um. some reasons why. Ask why. There there are like no good reasons. other than Boulders Gate came out. Yeah. Well, that was one of your. purchases. Yeah. And then there was some potential taqua. unless we're only getting 11 hours of. gas, which sometimes can happen, but I. doubt it.
cuz we had uh full tank gas purchases on. the chicken account. So, I'd be. surprised if it was that. Okay. So, and. then we had. that's my co-ay. And then we had your therapy co-ay. Okay. And that's that's okay, but why are we. putting that on a car? If we can't if. interest is occurring on it, we can't. even come close to paying it off. Why is. that? I want you to go to therapy. That's. fantastic. We're going to put that in. your budget, but that's coming from your. checking account. That doesn't make any. sense. It doesn't fit here. You can't. pay for it. So, I will say I have removed it from. like my tap to pay and that.
remove your credit card from your tap to. pay. No, I did after that because I saw my. statement. Oh, I thought you said you removed this. purchase from your tap to pay. But you. remove your credit card. I removed my card because I accidentally. like did the tap to pay because he was. trying to get in with another client. So, that's why that accidentally. happened. And you can see on like my. checking account one that I use my. checking account for that. Good. That's a good That's a good. action. That's a good action leading. towards change. So, that's good. But. [clears throat] then the taquitos and. then we're getting a video game. Come on.
By the way, the video game was like a. week ago. So, this was like immediate. We're just. like a video game. It's more important. apparently than getting out of debt. What' you say it was? Boulder Boulders Gate. Boulders Gate. Okay. It's like a DND game. It's Yeah, [snorts] it's pretty sweet. At 27.99% interest rate, so 28% 600 uh. $464.37. has been stolen from you this year so. far. Stolen from you yet again, you.
decided to put a larger. purchase purchase amount on this card. than you put towards it. So, it's just. like I'm really trying to figure out the. logic based on the spiel you gave me at. the beginning. It's just not lining up. I know that I have a problem with um. things being linked to that that. specific card through uh my uh PayPal. and I think that it's going to go. through on my checking and it doesn't. and then I'm like, "Oh, okay. Well, I'll. remember to put more money towards it. when I pay the minimum payment and then.
I forget or I just don't do it. every single month." Not every single. month, but when it's like those bigger. charges that I put on my card, I forget. because I linked it to my PayPal, which. I have recently unlin all of my credit. cards from my PayPal and from my phone, like the tap to pay because I need to. pay more attention to them. Now, this one, I just feel bad about. this one cuz I wouldn't wish this on. anyone. Credit One is just like the. death, the evil, the mean bully of.
credit cards. I remember the first very. video that I ever watched of you. You. were like, "They are literally like. Satan." And I was like, "Yes, that's the card that my mom talked me. into to getting for Korea.". Your mom. And she promised that she was going to. help me pay that back. Of course, she did. We've seen that on. this show multiple times. Yeah. Yeah. If if your parents promise you. take out debt will help, don't unless. their name's on it. Yeah. Then they'll actually help. Well, maybe. not even.
No. So, this is the fees. The fees get added. constantly. Says fees, fees, fees. $825. of fees. $51.90 of interest. You did. minimum monthly payment. Yeah, you put. you paid the minimum monthly payment. It's now 109. It was a little more. Mhm. It was 111 before. So, you brought the balance. slight Oh, yeah. Slightly down. Really not crazy. But on this 30% card,
the new balance is at $2,169.34. on credit one. The death card. The death card. Then Best Buy cuz we. wanted to just go into a bunch of debt. at Best Buy. Huh? Yes. What did we get? Bunch of video games. Gaming PC. Um I to play our DND game. No, I. financed a computer through there and. then so this is going to sound like a. really terrible story probably, but um so I got the credit card to. finance a computer for school uh when I. first went into college. I almost had it.
completely paid off and then I was. working at a place and I saw someone pay. with a Best Buy card and I was like, "How are you paying with that? I thought. you could only purchase things at Best. Buy with that card.". And then they were like, "No, you can. It's a credit card. You can use it. anywhere." and just turned 21, went to Vegas. Oh, no. Yeah, you. travel way too much for someone that. doesn't make money. I'm sorry. [laughter] I'm sorry. That's just ba.
basic math. I'm not saying I don't want. you to travel. You just you can't afford. it and we just put everything on debt. It's like you're pro you're the proof. that you just can't travel if you can't. pay for it, which sucks. I'm sorry. I. want you to have those life experiences. I want to work to help you get out of. debt. get an emergency fund and have. proper money going to savings and live. on a proper budget so you can have money. saved up to go on awesome trips paid. for. Yeah, that's great. But if we stop taking trips, I'm not telling you where I'm going. tomorrow.
Where are you going tomorrow? Mind you, I I didn't pay. Where are you going tomorrow? I'm going to Daytona Beach, Florida to. go visit my grandma. I did not pay for. it, though. Oh, well, okay. She paid for the flight to start with. that. Well, I don't know. You're like, you. can't take any trips. I'm taking a trip. Well, okay. So, even when someone pays. for a trip, one of the episodes I'm. going to end Well, one of the episodes. we recorded this week, someone took a. paid for a trip. Cool. But then they. still bought uh they went out and got. food. They got drinks. They got uh they. had to get an outfit, beach shoes, all. that stuff.
Yeah, I did not do that. You haven't been there yet. You don't. know. You don't know if you're going to. go out to eat and stuff. I mean, you could say you're not, but. you don't know. My grandma, of course, you haven't done it. You're. not there. Yeah. My Yeah, my grandma has money, so. No, I mean Okay, so she's going to cover. everything. She's excited. She's excited to see me. Okay, I'm excited to see you, too. Yeah. Well, what? Yeah. I don't know. There's always just things. baked in with travel. When's the last.
time you traveled traveled like paid. just went like got the plane ticket, got. the hotel, got the be? I went to LA for. a K-pop concert in 2020. K-pop's gonna bankrupt you. Oh, no. It did. Absolutely did. You went through bankruptcy? Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Sorry. I. not for real. For real? No. $2,155 is the new balance on this card. $76 payment was made. New minimum. monthly payment $74. So, you're making.
the minimum monthly payments. Mhm. Which I'm glad you're at least doing. that. I'm missing them. $51.61 61 cents. of interest is being acred. [snorts]. This is at 28.74%. Credit card rates are. wild right now. $446. of interest has been stolen from you. this far year so far. But. this card doesn't have. annual fees or quarterly fees as far as. I know. But you've had fees charged. Have you missed payments?
No, I've never missed a payment on any. of my credit cards. Of course, it. doesn't say what it was for, but I don't. know. I mean, you only started uh. carefully looking at your finances. recently, though, right? So, is there a chance you may have. missed the payment this year so far, and. you just didn't know? Not that I'm aware of. Well, well, yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like, I don't know. Yeah. I mean, it hasn't shown up like on my. credit report or anything like saying. that I've missed a payment ever. So,
Oh, yeah. Like on my credit karma it says. like. do you check your credit? Yeah. Okay, cool. And then we have some federal. student. not for the um. for cosmetology school. For cosmetology. How how long is cosmetology? Um so I did an excelled program and it. is like hourly based. So in the state of. Texas you only need 1,000 hours to. obtain your cosmetology license. Um but. I did the master kind of. uh like course. So, I did 1500 hours,
which. why? I don't know. When I got when I got to 1,000 hours, I. saw that it was pretty much like a a. scam. Like, there was no point on being. there that long cuz that means like I. wouldn't be able to be go to more hours. at work and all of that. And. there was there was really nothing. I. was like free labor there pretty much. I. was doing haircuts and everything for. free. Like, yeah, I would get cash tips, but like a dollar. Mhm. And it was terrible. And I tried so hard. to like switch to like demote myself,
but they kept telling me, "Oh, well, you. would have to pay an out-of- pocket fee. of $3,000 or in some. $3,000." $3,000 in like some How long. was this? How long did you get? I was in school for about two years. Oh my gosh. For cosmetology. Yeah. And um. I mean, people like going getting their. skin did and stuff like that. So, there's certainly demand for it. I just. know that it's. uh. a lot of people can start but in terms.
of making the actual monies in it, it. takes [clears throat] a bit and it takes. work and. going through many years of really not. making much. Yeah. That's why I wanted to before I. even decided to go to cosmetology. school, that's why I wanted to secure. like a good job like with that has. benefits that you Starbucks job. I love Starbucks. Okay. I love my co-workers. I love the. company. They've treated me very very. well. What about the pay for school program. that they have? Um, so I already have a bachelor's.
degree so I can't. You have a bachelor's degree as well? And then you went and got cosmeto. What was your bachelor degree in. biology and nursing? Why didn't Why don't we go make money. more than $1,400 a month? Um, mentally I can't do it. Go on. Well, what. I I just can't. can't do what though. I I don't know. what it is. So, like I've had like patients pass on.
me and I've gotten really close to them. I can't detach myself in that sense. I. can't. Well, there's isn't there's so many. different parts of nursing though. There's so many different parts of. nursing. Yeah. And then so like part two to that. is I have an autoimmune disease and I. have lupus and during like the CO 19. pandemic, I can't risk my own health. Oh, I don't want you to put your. physical uh safety at health, but. there's even like nursing things that uh. even for a bit my mom did, this wasn't. during co this is before co some like. remote stuff where uh calling or. checking up on patients just seeing how.
people are doing that are in certain. programs and stuff like that. Things. that you can take advantage of and cuz. the medical the medical needs of people. all across the United States [snorts]. and the money that they pay for it. is [clears throat]. extensive. There's things you can do in. like good paying careers. You limit. yourself of course a lot by not being. able to be in the hospital, but that's. your life and I'm not gonna No one's. gonna put you Yeah. risk. That's, you. know, that's fine. There are options though. Have you But. it just sounds like. it's just very traumatic just from my.
internship and my first like kind of. residency that I did. It was very. traumatic. I worked in pediatric. hospice. Yeah. Well, so. yeah, that would certainly. Yeah. And we think having anything going. anything medical will we feel will bring. up memories from that. Yeah, it definitely would. Yeah. Well, I mean I can respect that. I mean. you know yourself, you know your mind. and you're working through it. If you're. in therapy right now, so you're taking. the right steps. So I can definitely. respect that. I wouldn't want to put you in a. situation that you're.
mentally. not fit for, then you wouldn't be able. to give the care necessary as well. That's why I really liked like the. thought of cosmetology school because it. does kind of still fall into some of the. similar. wish you made money. It does though. Well, just Yeah. Not. I've had quite a few on this show. Oh, okay. So, [gasps]. it does, but it's like. going to school for two years to. [snorts].
make slightly above minimum wage for a. while. Mhm. We're just I mean if it's what you. want to do that's fine. I'm not judging. that within itself. I'm just like it's. just a bummer seeing the debt that's in. front of me. cuz for a while I wasn't even I when I. went through your finances I didn't. connect that with this and you know I. was like you know maybe if she went to. school I don't know if she borrowed for. that cosmetologology school totally good. with you having that and having that. certification wanting to go into that. but the fact that you borrowed almost. $15,000 for it I'm just I'm struggling. I'm struggling. Mhm.
So that's that's a that's a hard one, but uh they are all federal. Mhm. And two are at 2.7% and then some are at. 5%. That 5% it's not thrilling. The 3.7. Okay. It's a bit bit more stomachable. Yeah. By the way, this is the point in the. video where you should hit subscribe. because we're trying to get to a million. subscribers. I love you all so much. Thank you to everyone who has. subscribed. I love you. And okay, so that's your debt. That's.
all your debt though? Yes. Correct. Okay, cool. So nothing in. collections? No. I have So at mine and my boyfriend's old. apartment, there was a discrepancy of. $700. Um, it was able to be removed off. of his credit and we're just waiting for. mine to come back. Oh, what do you mean come back? like. it's still pending. through like TransUnion like a $700 like. uh. Okay. discrepancy.
So since it was it was removed from his. credit. Yeah, it was removed from his. So mine. should be coming here soon because we. have like enough like evidence and all. of that that it was. What about car? San Antonio is very car. Yes, I do have a car. Um I do. What? You said this was all you didn't. send me a state. So. what when asking for debt? Why did you. I included it in the email. It's under. my dad's name. Everything is in my dad's. name. Well, that's not the Okay, that's not. you having debt on a car then. I pay him though. Okay. But you still don't have debt on.
Yeah. No, not not on me. It's in his. name. Everything's in his car. You do pay him monthly though. So, what. do you pay? Uh, so I pay 270 a month. And right now, um, as like a graduation gift, uh, my. dad has helped me push the pay, not push. because we paid. So it's like then my. next payment isn't until January, until. the first of the year. Is he covering the rest of the year or. is it being deferred? Yeah, he he's covering. It's not being. deferred. Like we every payment that I.
paid, he would pay the same. So it would. be like when I pay him. paying half. No, he's paying like I'm paying 270. He's paying 270. What's the actual car payment? Do you. know? It's 270. Okay. So it's just he's we're trying to. pay it off twice as quick. Yeah. Oh, that's really cool. Yeah. Uh, and. what's you're paying 270 and. uh car insurance. Is he paying for that? Are you paying that? Yes, he's paying that. Wow. I mean, that's pretty lucky. Yeah. Do you know how much is left to pay this. off? I believe there's 14,000 left. Wow. What is this car?
It's a 2018 Hyundai Al. Is it Elantra? It's the Eco. What was the interest rate? Uh, that's why we went through him. It's. uh 4.2%. Yeah. Okay. Because when I tried doing. it, it was at 18%. Well, you said 11,000. I'm sorry. How. much was left on it? I believe 14,000's left. So, not taking in account really much. interest. You have a calculator now. Yeah, it's been Yeah, I've had it for a. while. Uh, it'll take.
[snorts] 25 months to pay off if I did. that math correct. Did I do that math correct? I think so. It'll take Oh, no. Yeah, [laughter] I'm. not sure. Oh, so that'll take two years. Two years and a few months. Yeah. And he did like I think 48 months. Okay. So quick. When when did you get this? At the beginning of this year. Ah, that makes sense. Okay, that makes. sense then. It's It's new or. Well, you said 2018. So, it was a used.
car. Yeah, I got it at CarMax, but we. financed it through a security service. So, Okay. Yeah. You have to take care of this for the. next two years, though. Yeah. This payment. So, it's not a debt in. your name, but it is a payment that we have to. include in the budget, obviously. Yes. Even though for the next couple months, you don't have to take care of it. Checking account. very scary to see ending with $11. $101. Okay. We started with $466. Below a,000, not thrilling, but 466, we.
can manage that. $101. Are any of the. payments on those credit cards. automatic? No. They're all manual. So you sit down on a. monthly basis and be like, I'll make. this payment. Yes. Then I wouldn't be surprised if some of. the if that Best Buy fee we saw was a. mispayment if you're doing that at some. point, even if it hasn't shown up in your. thing. But either way, so again, you said at the beginning, this is why I like everyone to give give. their thoughts and everyone thinks it's. going to be nice and optimistic. Oh, this person's just, you know, they're.
ready to just go full steam ahead and. just take care of everything. Just like. the other stuff we talked about, I'm. here. We're going to McDonald's. So, we're getting some We're doing going to. Five Below. Now, I don't know what this. is, but leen lehen. leen.com. I don't know what that is. I don't know. 20 bucks. It's out and you. don't even know what it is. What's. brewing? You sent $200 somewhere. Um, so any. two payments to Peacock TV. Two payments. to Peacock TV. Peacock. They have.
nothing and you two payments at the. office, but two payments for it. So it's. So it's like the premium premium cuz. then you get. Why is that two payments? Why isn't that. just one? I don't know. I tried figuring that out, but it's always. okay. So instead of getting out of debt, we're paying for ad free peacock and. we're going to Michael's store, spending. $41 there, getting. So I did get cash back for that. That. was from my manager. They gave you $4110 back. Okay, good. Nine tails.
I don't know what that is. You don't know what it is? That makes me. nervous. That's the second time now. McDonald's. You probably know what that. is. Apple cash sent out $540.78. Rent, utilities, something like that to the. boyfriend. Okay, good. Barnes & Noble. Love books. Books are great. We're. trying to get out of debt. Birthday present. So. to yourself, no to a friend. Okay. Happy birthday. Pay off your debt. instead. That's what I say. Arm. So Armstrong. Um, if you see anything.
that says Armstrong or Salon Centric, those are um for hair clients that I do. at their houses and they have paid me. back uh through like Apple Pay. So, or. Cash App. Why are you giving them money though? I'm not That's That's for their hair. products and things that I do for their. hair. Okay. So, you spent $57.64 on that. How. much did you get back? Um, what date was that? The 6th of last month. We're going and. yeah, I charge him $100. [snorts].
Okay. So, we made like 42 bucks off. that. 42 bucks. and 40. That's what I need help with. I don't. know how to do that like pricing. structure like how. Okay. Yeah. So, you're trying to go private instead. of working for like a spa or something? Mhm. Because a lot of them are like. really hard. Yeah. A lot of them are really shady. cuz they'll like do your whole payroll. They'll tell you what products to use. and everything, but then they want you. to be a 1099.
Wow. Presents. Please don't say you don't recognize it. Come on. This is a reoccurring card. purchase, it says. Oh, I just canceled that. That was so I. could watch Rupaul's Drag Race. Uh, some Taqua, Chick-fil-A, and Sally. Beauty. Mhm. So Sally Beauty would be for the. for that of which you make okay margins. on but for the cost of your time versus. like what is spent working somewhere. else probably I I don't and like. building out that whatever it took to.
capture that client and then go shopping. and create a plan and then actually. execute on it. I don't know but. especially with the actual bachelor's. degree that you have. So to be clear you don't go crazy. You. don't go crazy on spending your money. And I know I've been hard on you and. it's just I mostly especially go hard. when people come out of the gate and. they're like, "Watch your content. Been. fixing things for a month. Everything's. so much good better and we're full on. and getting out of debt and all that. stuff." And then that pops up. I got to call it out. I have no choice.
but to cuz I don't deal with bull. Yeah, this is a no bull table. But do you go. insane? No, you really don't. So, some of your bull spending was about. 9.1% of the money that left out, plus an. additional 4.4% on eating out. where only 8% went to groceries. Mhm. Transportation, your category is a. little higher because we didn't know. that you sent the payment to your dad. Mhm.
Additional shopping, which again, these. are not 100% needed. like Five Below, half the things there aren't needed, so. you never really know. Michaels, the Legion, we didn't even know what. that was. The Barnes & Noble, so that's. probably an additional 5 to 10% of your. spending go to going into even more. Unknown shopping, which is Walmart, which is about 5.1%. That could be. groceries. It could be really know. It. could be a mixture. Walmart 2.4%. Okay.
Subscriptions are 2.4%. There's your peacock and anything else. we caught up on. But imagine even if it's just a little. bit, but because you don't make a ton of. money, an additional 2.4% going to. paying off your debt. That's incredible. Especially since all that you put. towards your debt was only 12.5. So an. additional 2.4%. from the subscriptions. makes a decent dent. The other. miscellaneous bull 9.1%. Come on. Add.
those two together and you're basically. doubling your debt payments. Add the. eating out that you did and. half the shopping that was bull as well. You triple get close to quadrupled the. amount of money you put in your debt. So. that's why I have to call that stuff. out. Did you go crazy? No. But all those. little things stack up. Especially when. you don't make too much money. You don't. make too much money, which is okay. There's no shame in that. But when we're. doing that, we really need to manage. We. need to aggressively manage. And if you. actually have the intent to get out of.
debt, it's time to buckle down. This. cannot be a thing. You could have. quadrupled your debt payments, gotten. out of this in four times the amount or. four times as quick, but you chose not to. You chose not to. You were choosing Mickey D's over that. I was. So going forward, what's to stop you? Because this is your good month. according to you. According to you, this. is your good month. It is. Yeah. I didn't end the month with like. $6 in my bank account.
Okay, so this is your good month. And. yeah, I'm sure it's better. It's certainly. better than $6. $100 also is. very like I want to get better. Well, I want you to get better, too. But. that's why we're calling this out now. I mean, without calling out where the. misbehavior is, where the is the. we're not going to get better. So. what what do you think in I so I'm. curious from your perspective when you. went from where you were before to your. good month this being your good month. you obviously made progress but you.
didn't do what was necessary to get out. of this as quick as you could by you. know about four times quicker you could. have if you wanted to three to four. times. What do you think is holding you back. from that? Why are we still on such a. tight income, tight income for a major. city? Are we still choosing these things. are not even close to necessities? They're fun. They're bull over actually. improving your life and creating. generational wealth so that you're not. your mom's age with utilities being. turned off in the middle of the night.
Why? I think it all really like stems from. like my childhood. It really all stems. from that that I've I never learned how. to spend money. All I knew was. your boyfriend though has been trying to. teach you. We talked about this before. the episode. He's been trying to help a. lot. He's been giving lots of different. advice and it sounds like it's come from. a sound place and a place of uh. reasonable understanding. He I certainly. believe your boyfriend probably. understands you better than most people. You know, you know yourself better than.
anyone, but still. there's been resources there. So yes, I. can see the things and I know I cut you. off. I'm going to let you finish, but. immediately. sure things can stem from childhood. A. lot of the uh behavior we have can stem. from the. uh the behavior that we just saw. Yeah. Like it was all habit, you know. Yes. But you've been surrounded. by someone who has been trying to help. and you've chosen not to. Yeah.
So adding that to your adding that. context to your overall situation that. you were saying go ahead and continue. cuz it doesn't add up. Yeah. I would definitely say I mean my. boyfriend's wasn't the best either and. we're both like trying to do it together. you know because we both kind of come. from a very similar background like. single mom you know just us poor for a. while and then wow we're 18 we can we're. getting stuff in the mail we're getting. cards and doing all that and now it's. like money we have the availability.
Sure. But you specifically told me that. he's been giving the advice that would. have been helpful for a while now and. you haven't chosen it. I don't understand. I I don't understand. some of the things he says. What do you mean? Like I don't like I don't understand. like uh. Do you ask follow-up questions to try to. get an understanding surrounding? No. Well, I just don't like to mix like finances. with like relationship cuz I because. that's like going to start fights and. that's like a huge thing. Okay. But what's the largest cause of.
divorce in the United States? probably. like finances. Finances. So, I think they're pretty. well intertwined. I don't know if there's much of a choice. around that within our culture. So, uh I. mean, not to be rude, but I really don't. think you have a choice. Yeah. Um No, there's healthy ways to approach. those conversations. You're right. I. don't want this to turn into a fight. No one wants that. And there will be. tension here and there, especially when. trying to get out of a debt, get to a. better place. And there might not be. agreements. You know, couples therapy is. a good place for that. And I know you. already believe in therapy, so that's. fantastic.
[laughter]. But avoiding asking a follow-up question. of something you don't understand like. it could improve your life just because. you're afraid of a little disagreement. I don't want to see. Oh, come on. We're all dumb as dude. I'm. like the dumbest motherucker that's ever. existed. I'm good at personal finances. I care about it. I'm good at like. writing music and I'm good at some other. things. But on the vast majority of. things, just like everyone, cuz no one. has time to learn everything about. anything and everything. I'm a dumb. mother and I trust the people who are. smart at it. So if someone's better and. knows more about a subject than me, I. like to sit down. I like to listen. and.
I like to learn. That's a good mantra to. live by. If you're dumb, that means. you're normal. It's a topic that you. weren't interested in. It's a topic that. you just weren't educated in. You're. ignorant in it. And that's totally okay. cuz. it's just never been given to you, especially from the place you've been. raised to. So, be like, um, cough cough, excuse me. I'm a dumb. Let me learn. And that's good because. when you learn, you go from being a dumb. mother to be the person that can teach a. dumb mother. Yeah. I'm trying to work through that in. therapy because I have a lot of pride.
and I have a lot of uh I'm very. defensive when it comes to stuff like. that. So like me being able to sit here. and like somewhat be quiet. like while you're like being very harsh. with me and me not just like yell at you. get up and storm out. That's like a lot. of therapy that I've been through to try. to like get through those situations. I. like. I'm Sagittarius. I'm very fiery. very. like. I love fire like you you don't know what. the talking about I have the biggest. room like sorry. wow impressive. and he even said like when I was sitting.
outside in the car he's like why does it. look like you have like a like shriveled. up like. shriveled up dick now. because like I was so nervous and so. scared in the car straight out of the. pool yeah and I don't even know how to. feel right now because I literally feel. like an ant with a sworn penis I don't. know. I just like this is something like I. feel like I like fully like research. things and stuff and. but this is like the one topic I know. nothing about. Absolutely nothing. But recognizing that's good.
Yeah. But when we know that a massive part of. our culture and society surrounds that. just mature choices, we need to at least. learn the basics so that we can survive, right? [clears throat]. So recognizing we know nothing, asking. questions. Okay. If people Okay, now. don't get me wrong. On the other side of. things, there's always context and you. know often times because I just go. through through things quicker. try to. make everything sound easier said than. done. Mhm. Um, you're right. There are going to be. some people who are like, "Yeah, you. don't know the topic. You ask. questions." And if they're a bad person, if they're a bad communicator, they'll.
make you feel like you're dumb. And that. sucks. That's stupid. That's not And I'm. not suggesting he's that person. Um, and. I'm sure he's not, but. uh, in general, I do get the hesitancy. around that. Just knowing people that we can trust. to, uh, trust talking to. Yeah, it's it's good to learn. I'm slowly getting there. I'm slowly. getting there. I'm glad you're working in therapy on. this. And I'm glad you recognize your. own mental barriers, too, and what. you're working on. That's really cool. Because I'm trying I'm trying not to. like. freak out and go psycho because I'm. known for that. Oh, I can take it. I' I've had a lot on.
this show. So, but go ahead. You know, you do you. You be you. Yeah. But if this is what you guys are working. on in therapy and this is what you want, Yeah. your reaction to be, then you've done a. very good job. Thank you. Yeah. I've really tried my best. Went from big dick to small dick energy. I just want to be a regular like. American sized penis and just like I. don't know why we got into phallic. shapes, but I just want to be like. normal. Yeah. I just I just want to be normal. I don't. want to be like too extra or not extra. I don't want to be too much in debt, but.
you know, I I just want to. classic American cut. I want to just live the American dream. So again, there's a lot of things we need to cut. back on. uh it sounds like you're. relatively on the right track, but when. there's a point where we open the. conversation making it sound like, oh, we're doing everything. great. It's like, okay, we could be four. timesing our debt payoff. Yeah. So, what we could do and what I do with most.
people, we can make a budget and we can. go through a debt payoff plan. Is that. what you think would be helpful for you? Or knowing your situation, going through. the mental health that you've been. working on because you're very. self-observant and understanding of. where you are mentally, which is really. good. Yeah. What do you think is going to be most. right now? I. I really need to figure out the debt. I. need to figure out how to.
figure out with what I make. how am I going to be able to pay that. off and what is the most reasonable way. to do that. Okay. That isn't going to I mean, I'm totally. fine with eating ramen. I'm talking just. I'm fine with just drinking water, whatever I got to do. Well, water is fantastic. Ramen little. unhealthy, but. Well, yeah, it's it's it's good to throw in there. every once in a while. Yeah, I live on the third story, so. that's like cardio, I think. Like my. apartment's on third floor. Sodium, though. Oh, yeah. Okay. So, Okay. So, it sounds like we. need to create a budget, and we need to.
figure out how much money is left over. and what can we use. Now, if I create a. budget, I'm creating a budget for you to. drastically cut down on things. Can you. actually follow a pretty hardcore budget. for a while? Yeah. That's the hard part that I've. always like gotten to. I've had my. friend um try to set up a budget for me, but. she was trying to help set up a budget. for me and him. Me and my boyfriend. Well, that doesn't make sense. You guys. aren't combined finances, but we can. split some things like rent. Yeah. Yeah. So, she was trying to help. by like showing me her budget with like.
her and her boyfriend and like how. they're able to do things because she. works at Starbucks with me. So, we make. about the same. And then at the time, like our boyfriend's made about the. same. So she was like, "This is what I'm. doing to get out of debt." And she's way. more in credit card debt than I am. Um. but. Yeah. Yeah. And that just didn't work out. because it was like her life. You know. what I'm talking about credit card debt. than you are as well. Oh, was. uh Yeah. Well, we can get we can get you. out of it. Just like I got myself out of. it. Yeah. I just always have a hard time. like her budget because I'm like, "Oh,
like what does she know?" And then I. would try to set one up for myself and. then I'd start like justifying things. that aren't justifiable. Sure. Sure. I I get it. I get it. So, let me create a budget just for yourself. then. What's your portion of rent? Um 550. Your portion of utilities on average? That's rent, utilities, renters. insurance. What about internet? And internet. And internet. Wow, that's pretty great. We got a sweet deal. Yeah, you did. We got a sweet deal at our place. Now, car insurance is taken care of, but we. usually owe dad $270.
Yes, usually. So, I'm gonna include that in. some way. We'll figure that out. But we have 75 + 74 +. 109. Have you set Have you paid your. student loans? No. First payment. They're not They're not ready to be paid. yet. What do you mean? They said 6 months after I graduate. Oh, yeah. I just did graduate. Uh, when did. I graduate? It's coming soon, though. Still, when did I graduate? Do you know when I graduated? I don't.
know. I'd probably say like within the. last two months. I just got my license. in the mail last night. So, it sounds like this car payment and. the student loans might start up in a. very similar time. I know. That's why I'm literally. I'm literally so frightened. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And I would be I would. be um Yeah. Yeah. How much you spent on gas? Gas. So, I got I had 62.94, but it's always hard. to tell.
Yeah, you never know what you're buying. Um, I would say I was doing a lot more. driving around at that time because I. had to do like state board things and. whatnot and go downtown and like. what's a good guess for a month. I would say probably like $45 because. where I live, where I work, and where. everywhere I go is like within five. miles. Good. and. 5 to 10. You're starting the cosmetology thing. You are making a profit on it. Let's. give you a budget just so we can include. it.
Well, actually, let's not because we. didn't include the income from it. either. Yeah. And we're And from the beginning, you. said you're going to do Starbucks. Yeah. Until the debt's paid off. Okay. So, we'll just any extra that you get from. that as long as you're only making. profit. If you're not, we're not buying. stuff. But if you're anything extra you. get towards it is just being thrown. towards that. It's a bonus. It's a. bonus. Yeah. I always make sure uh like if I do. anyone's hair if it's like a um what do. you call it? Like if I'm using it for my. portfolio, they know to pay me for the.
product. Maybe not making profit on it, but at least I'm breaking even. Um just to help with my portfolio for if. I do decide to go to salons, you need to. like be able to provide like a portfolio. to just show them like your work. Um. is that why you have Canva? Yes. for uh posting. Okay. That's your only subscription. you're allowed to have. and that is $1312. Mhm. Okay. Uh how do you guys do groceries at.
the house? So I get paid on Wednesdays, he gets. paid on Thursdays, he gets paid weekly. How do you guys do groceries at the. house? It usually like every other week. What does that mean? Uh, like whatever. we need. Who pays for what? Is it split? Is it. How are we paying? Like I'll take care of one week and then. he'll take care of one week. Okay. Oh, so Okay. Does that make sense? It kind of It kind of does. So, it's. kind of it's like a collective pool, but. we're paying for it at different times. Yeah. So, I'm giving you $300 a month.
for groceries is what you're allowed to. contribute to that. Okay. Uh for makeup and toilet paper and all. that good stuff. Keeping the house in. order. Call that the toilet paper fund. Giving you a hundred bucks. Congratulations. Oh, thank you. Any other money that you need to spend. on a monthly basis outside of buying the. shampoo and face care for clients of. which you make a profit? Mhm. Phone. My mom pays for that. Okay. Should she? The her the business pays for it.
Okay. We're not going out. We're not shopping. anymore. We're canceling all these. subscriptions. We're not getting. taquitos. We're not. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, can you put in there for my uh $20. co-ay. for my. Is that all it is? Once a month? Uh, twice a month. So 40? Yeah. Okay. Yes, I have. Um, also. therapy. Can you make it like either like 50 for. like medications? Yeah. So an additional 10 for medication or 50. for medication?
Uh, additional 10 like 50. 50. 50 for medical. Just in case if I need to like. totally. bring them up or if I have my. medication. Yeah, totally good. Okay, let's get your budget. Then we. will pay off these debts and then your. life will be turned around if we. actually follow what we talk about. I really want to come back and show you. I want you to too. Please do. Yeah. Uh it's going to be hard with an. additional. $40 a month though is.
your minimum in order to survive is. $1,31612. Again, last month we had 1477 come in. That is not including the money that you. need to give your dad. That is not including student loans of. which have started up but have not. started up for you because you're on. deferment until about February. Mhm. So here's really. this is your path that I see.
People always ask me what high yield. savings account do I use for my own. money? Some of you know by now it's. SoFi. I love them. It's great for my. checking account needs. It's great for. my high yield savings account needs. And. right now I'm getting 4.5% interest on. my monies. I love that rate on my. moneyies. So if you want to get a great. rate like that on your monies, just. check out the link in the description. below. I have a paid affiliate link. there. You can get bonuses all the way. up to $250 and I took advantage of that. and you should too. You're not willing.
to go get anything in medical, are you? Okay, cool. Continue Starbucks. Work as. many hours as you can there. Pick up as many hours as you can in. cosmetology. Any other hour that you're not in there. that you're normally hanging with Mr. Dude over here. Sorry, he's going to be bored and lonely. for a bit. I need you to go get a second. job. I need you to work like 80 hours a. week across everything. It's going to. suck. 60 60 to 70 hours. Anywhere from. minimum 60 hours a week, though. And the. reason is unless you refuse because you.
refuse to get a job in the field that. you're already certified and have. experience in, which is okay. I. understand. And unless you try to go get. a higher paying job within the field of. service, which is easier to get in the. moment, you know, a service based job, but harder to get a necessarily a higher. paying job in that area, not 100% sure. Come January, you're in the hole. You can't afford to survive. Come February, you're double in the. hole. It's not even close. You can get. on income based repayment, kicking can.
down the road. Hopefully, it's forgiven. You never know. It's kind of. administration by administration. So, it's a bit risky and it's just crucial. the entire time. So, no. No. That's why [clears throat] I say. you're working 60 to 80 hours a week. I'm saying if you don't do that, yes, you're So, right now, it's your choice. You have the choice. Or go get a or. apply like it's a full-time job to go. get a higher uh higher income job. I. know you like Starbucks. Uh-huh. And you know what's wild?
There's not many other higher paying. jobs like. like the entry level service. Yeah, like entry level. You can try to start going into. management, have the conversations. around that. I don't know about. internally at Starbucks, but other. places as well. So, I I have been trying to get promoted. to a shift at Starbucks because I have. previous management experience. Um I ran. a massage place. Yeah. For a couple years. So, Wow. See, you have some resume. experience and you have some real world. experience as well. So, uh, there are a.
lot that is determined to get into those. positions off the gate if you don't. start completely entry level. You know, resume buildout, use some online. services with that. It's worth it. Uh, unless it's like just stupid expensive. If it's stupid expensive, don't use it. cuz that's not worth it. They're really. cheap, the helpful ones. So, you don't need to spend much on it. That. and interview practice skills cuz. you're not going to land a job that you. can't land via the interview. So, those. are very important. But what I need you. to do is bring an additional $1,000.
minimum in on a month. $1,000. Let's just for simplicity of math, call. it $900. extra [laughter]. a month, which will give you $1,000. left. $1,000 after all your necessary expenses. because you can't spend a penny outside. of your necessary expenses that I laid. out in your budget. Or else you're not going to survive and. you're going to be dying in poverty. And. I really don't want that for you. I. really don't want that either. Mm- Your life matters way too much. Yeah. Way too much. A crackhead under the bridge. Yeah, sure. And I think the first month when you're.
making additional thousand, set that. aside. That's close enough to cover you. for a month if something bad were to. happen in the workplace. Cool. Second month, we're throwing everything. towards the Best Buy card. We're paying. that off in about two months. Then we're paying off the credit one in. about an additional two months. So, we've we've had a one month emergency. fund plus the two smallest card we've. paid off in a total of five months. One. month emergency fund. and paying off two cards. That's done in.
five months by you working your and. bringing in an additional $900 a month. and sticking to this budget. Congratulations. Call an additional two. months because of the minimum monthly. payments that were made at the time. No, call an additional two and a half. months. And just to give you ease of. transition and figuring things out, let's call an additional 3 months. actually and you'll pay off the Capital. One card. So that's. Mhm. eight months total. Eight months total, you have a onemon emergency fund and. every single card is paid off. One month emergency fund and every. single card is paid off. Okay?
Because your future's worth it. Work off. for eight months. All you have to do. from there, we're going to save up about. 12,000 bucks. That one's going to take a while. That. one's going to take a while. [snorts]. Actually, it's going to be hard. Well, what did we How many months did we say. we were in? Eight. Eight. Okay. So, it's actually going to be a. little longer than that because by by. the time four four and five months from. now, three and four months from now,
both those other payments are going to. kick in that you need to do. So, it's. going to this is it's going to extend it. to about I think a year and two months. until you have a one month emergency. fund and all three credit cards are paid. off and then let's call it an additional. year unless you increase your income to. have a fully funded emergency fund. Yeah, just about. Yeah, just about. But that's okay. Yeah. What? Close. Well, I mean, we have some choices.
Yeah. You do have experience. Yeah. And you do have the ability to go. make the income if you. choose to. We're not choosing to. It doesn't have. to be in the nursing field, but in. general trying to get into a higher. paying job that you can get a higher. paying customer service job. Um, and you're bombastic and stuff. I, you. know, I haven't seen it here because. you've worked on it, but you can take a. lot of those skills like I did because. I'm bombastic. I'm sassy. I'm a little, you know, I'm, you know, I'm special. And I, uh, that helped me succeed in sales.
Mhm. That could be that's an area where if. you have the talent for it and you work. your off, you can make a lot of money. Yeah. So, there's a lot of avenues. The choice. sticking to what you have plus working. an additional 20, 30 hours a week. That's what takes two years, two months. if you aggressively budget down. Okay? You could you could cut that shorter, but that's your choice from here. And. that's the harder part about these. conversations where the income's not. there right now is because it's. literally your choice from here. economic conditions could change there.
There is that reality. There could be. there's there's always the chance, who. knows, of a super deep great recession. and people just aren't hiring and it's. hard to get jobs. Yeah, we're not going to bank on it cuz that's. not a way to live. You have the choice right now. Go out. there, make some money, but and then what you decide to do with. it from there is up to you. But this is. what I would recommend. This is what I. would recommend. And that's two years, two months, fully funed emergency fund. All your bad debts gone. Student loans, you can pay them off aggressively if you.
want or you can minimum monthly payments. until they're paid off. It's up to you. Car because your dad's matching it. I'm. probably just doing 270 until it's paid. off as well. Yeah. From there, it's time to start contributing 20% to. retirement after that. 20% on a monthly. basis. I do have a 401k. It looks like you take match, right? Yeah. Which I would cuz it's 100% return on. your investment, which beats your 30% on. your highest debt. So, that's okay. But we're probably just. push it up to like 20%. 20% once you're out of debt and you have.
a fully funed emergency fund, bad debt. and fully funed emergency fund. So that's what I would do. But what do. you think? What do you think of all. that? That's like a lot to like digest. It is. and like taken especially since like I. don't even know how you got all those. numbers. Like I know it's like adding. and all of that. Like um. Well, which numbers? I I can help. explain. Well, no. I mean like it makes sense. I. just like my brain can't like focus that. hard on like all those numbers. Okay, does that make sense? No, it was just one numbers.
like um like how to break down all of. that like the 300 for gas or like the. 300 for groceries and all of that like. how did you get those numbers. from what you told me and then what I. assigned you based on what I know you. can do. Okay. Okay. So the groceries, that's. what I know you can do with aggressive. meal prep prepping. Okay. And you know, pretty basic foods, but. still healthy. Okay. Therapy and medication, you told me to. paper fund. I mean, that should easily. get you there.
Canva, we already know. Gas, you told. me. Debt, we know by just adding up your. minimum monthly payments on your credit. cards. And rent and utilities, you told. me. So that's how it came up with your. budget. Okay. Those are your budgetary items. From. there, I just didn't know like what like the. categories were. Oh, yes. Sorry, I was getting lost in like the. numbers. I was getting lost in the. sauce. So, I was like, I'm always happy to help. I'm always happy to help and write up. emails and talk on the phone and all. that. Whatever is needed to make sure. I'm going to need this like on a piece. of paper. We got you. Yeah, cuz I. Yeah, we [snorts] got you.
I will not remember. Um, well, I will remember. Your biggest thing right now. Yeah. Huh? Your biggest thing right now. aggressively budget and you need to go. to make more money immediately. Yeah. If you don't, when those payments kick. in, you're drowning. You're relying on. other people to survive. And I don't. want you to do that. No, I don't want you either. Do you. think you'll actually follow this? I think I will. You think so? Even the strict budget? Mhm. You think you'll go make more money? I think I will. I I did it for two years. during when I was in school and I was. doing that for free. Yeah. Free. I was working 30 hours at.
Starbucks a week and I was working third. 30 plus some at cosmetology school for. two years. Yeah. And now like I was finally like, "Yay, like I graduated. I get a break." No. because I couldn't pay as much off to my. debt because I had to quit my cushy like. salary manager job, get a job to where. they are like okay with me going to. school but like still pays like somewhat. decent and me being able to go to school. to get my certification. Mhm. Okay, good. So then good. Yeah,
absolutely. Please just go make the. money. I know you're working on micro. dick mentality right now, but. yes. Um, whip out the 10- incher in the job. market and make that money. A word. Any final thoughts? Any questions? I don't I don't I can't think of. anything. I'm still like mentally. processing everything and I'm just like, okay, so what do I do when I got to get. home? I'm going to start looking on. Indeed or how much do I have? Have the support of the boyfriend who's. in the room and. Yeah. We'll help internalize and then you have.
our support as well. Yeah. Yeah. That's good. Yeah. And then. I'm like, "Huh, should I message my. manager and be like, "Hey, tell our. district to. promote me already." Like, I pretty much. do the work. Do it smart, please. In a smart way. Well, I would send like a heart emoji or. something like after that. Oh, of course. Yeah. Like, much love, kisses. Well, promote me or I'm going to be homeless. For Alli's hammer financial [music]. score, when it comes to spending in a. budget, it wasn't the worst, but it. certainly wasn't the best. And. obviously, she could have been putting. about four times [music] more money to.
the debt than she was. So, I'm going to. give it a three, four out of 10. You. know, be a little more generous. Debt. certainly wasn't the [music] worst debt. It's just really hard for her income. It's still not great, so it's going to. be a 2 out of 10. Emergency fund, she. has 500 bucks in there, so it's going to. be a 1 out of 10. Certainly not close to. where it needs to be. [music]. Retirement, just getting started. You. know, for her age, though, about a 2 out. of 10. Real estate, not a part of the. conversation yet, so 0 out of 10. Don't. forget to check out the resources in the. description below. They are what I use. or would use in specific situations. If. you want to be in an episode of.
