signed and mailed directly to you. Link. in the description and pin comment. below. Hi, my name is Bianca. I'm 21. Hi, my. name is Tyler. I'm 21 and we're from. Lafayette, Louisiana. And this is. Financial Audit. Thanks for coming over from Louisiana, guys. Young, young couple. Are we. married? Very young. We are. Okay. Very. cool. How long have we been married? 9. months now. Nine months. Cool. July. Oh, okay. Very cool. Well, I guess I'm. going to ask. I mean, it's a little It's.
a little less likely these days, but. it's possible. A lot. We got Oh, are you. talking about baby? Oh, baby. I I'm I'm. talking about baby. Okay. Well, we've. been married for 9 months, but she's 6. months old. She's about to turn 7. months. Okay. She's 6 months old. So, technically, the pregnancy happened. before marriage. Okay. Intentional. Whoopsie. Whoopsy doopsies. Whoopsie. Yeah. Blessing in disguise. You don't.
like the rubber? Uh, no. God, no. Uh, just anything that we ever never ever. You know, more will come. Yeah. But we. just kind of resort to natural ways, timing. Um, natural planning. Natural. planning. And, um, how'd that work? Uh, with a baby that's seven months old now, almost. Uh-huh. Yeah. Not very. So, something tells me a few years from now, you'll be back on the show and there. will be 10. All right. Hopefully not 10.
cuz I came up from eight and we're. trying to max out at three. Yeah, he's. one of the Yeah, your strategy is not. getting you there, buddy. You're not. keeping you there. All right. So, how's. life in Lafayette? How we doing? New. kid, 21 years old. That's, you know, how. we doing moneywise? Um, not too good. now. Um, going into it, you know, we. were kind of set up. Um, at that time I. had started paying off some of my debt. um, from what I racked up from when I. was 18. Um, over that time. Uh, we ended.
up spending a bunch of money. What time? Since 18. Yeah. Since when we were 18, I. maxed out my brother. This is a fat. stack. Wait, since we got Okay. How long. have you guys been together? Not. married. Since ninth grade. Since nth. grade. Oh, for sake. Oh, jeez. You okay? really just the the the one time in. forever. Okay, cool. Nothing wrong with. that. How? No, nothing wrong with it. Just a little less common these days. Totally good. So, you guys have been.
through just the taking out debt. together forever game. Yeah, kind of. Um, it's kind of a lot of me. Um, she. really really hasn't had a big like eye. or knowledge of our financial situation. with her staying home and her not having. a job anymore. You have a job. Okay. So, that I guess was going to be my next. question and that makes sense. I mean, new kid, but you better be making money. What were you doing before? I was. working at a hospital as a dietitian.
What were you making? Like 1260. Yeah. I. don't know the cost of living in. Lafayette, but I doubt it's among the. higher. M. It's not too expensive. Yeah. And you? Uh, when I started at. Chick-fil-A, I started Chick-fil-A. What's your position? Uh, currently I'm. an assistant manager over training. Okay. Working our way up. What are you. making? Uh, right now I make 20 an hour. 20 hour. How many hours a week? I can. work upper I work regularly. How many. are you? 50 60. Yeah. I mean, you have.
to cuz she's not and there's a kid. Yeah. So 50 to 60. Yes. On average. So. 55. Yes. Overtime is 30 an hour. I get time an. hour. Yeah, over time until Oh, okay. Yeah, sure. So, what's hidden your. account on a monthly basis? Um, now. currently around right under two grand. So, like 1,900 on a monthly basis. No, no, no, no. Right under grand. Okay. 1,900. And. I get paid 500 a month from watching my.
nephew. Okay. Yeah. That just started recently. in about March. she started babysitting. forever. Like how long is that? Uh. that's going to be until. um next year in August when he starts. school, so not 2026. So $4,300. That's. what's hitting our account on a monthly. basis. You know, we're talking $51,600 a. year. Definitely not bad for your age, but again, it it's the it's the new kid. situation. Yeah. Yeah. And how we doing? How we doing today? Well, it's doing.
good. Just him working so much like puts. a strain on like him seeing us and. having a relationship with his daughter. He'll go like sometimes 48 hours without. seeing her. Just depending on when we. wake up, go to bed and what time he has. to go and strain where? Well, I work. horrible shifts. So like Sure. But. strain where? You brought up strain. Is. it strain with you? Where is the strain? Well, yeah. I guess it is us cuz I mean. we don't get time together anymore. because he comes home late and I'm.
already sleeping and then we wake up and. we have our morning but that's it and. I'm not going to help her as much and. it's putting a huge toll on her baby. For what it's worth, you are helping by. keeping the roof over the head and the. food on the table. But okay, so how's. this how's this going? What's the. strain? Tell me about the strain. This. is important. I mean we don't go on. dates anymore. Like we just don't have. time for ourselves. We just when we do. have time, we clean the house. Like. that's our free time. Taking care of the. baby. Yeah. Make sure to passing them to. a family, you know, and then taking care.
of the house. How many hours a day is. the baby sleeping? She doesn't sleep much. She's a very. much of a FOMO baby. She loves She has a. fear of missing out. Oh, you guys are so. southern. Okay. She loves to be in the. know. So, she takes about 30 minute. naps, maybe three times a day. What do. you mean southern? I don't find us mean. like I never was told that we're. southern like I left Louisiana. I have. Okay. Uh yeah. Yes. The accent. Okay. Okay. So Chick-fil-A. How long have we.
been working at Chick-fil-A? Well, so I. started there in 2021. Um I think in. August and then I worked up until. February 2023. In that period I worked. from like $10 an hour to about $16 an. hour. um worked my way up to SCT. Um. then our store was going to be shut down. for a remodel. Now, what are you doing. to combat the strain cuz there some of. it obviously is on you. I mean, you're. going to work a lot. I understand why. You have to be able to pay the bills and.
this is a fast stack. So, we we're. obviously in a crap ton of deer. 21 new. parents, relatively newly wed. So, yeah, you got to work. So, how are we dealing. with the strain? Or else is this going. to get worse and worse? What are we doing? Right now, really. nothing. We just never really had. conversations about it. You know, starting to actually look at the. finances now has kind of opened up. conversation, you know. Tell us about. the conversations. I mean, well,
um, in between us moving in from our. house and I don't know if you know this, but moving in from our house to our. apartment, I had opened up like two. payday. loans and they had an insane amount of. interest on them. Reaction. I did not. know about these payday loans. There was there's like four in total. She only knew about What did she know? It was more of just kind of I felt I. didn't want to put stress on her a lot. of times through like pregnancy and.
stuff. She would like So we do things. behind her back, our pregnant wife's. back, right? Yeah. I just in the time I. just felt like she would cry to me at. moments when we would go to the I don't. know I guess appointments. She would be. overwhelmed by appointments when we. would go for the baby and she would ask. how we were doing financially. go take. out the worst step possible without even. a conversation. Like I didn't want to. put any stress on her so I would I guess. yeah go behind her backing. Yeah. Or are. you just saying that as a way to get out.
of that cuz oh my gosh that puts like. the oh virtuous me you know you got the. that gets that gets the push back off of. you like I was doing it to be the good. that's what every stress on her. shoulders. She was already that's what. every single she was already. overwhelmed. She was pregnant. We were. doing something really different doing a. midwife. if we weren't at a hospital. Yeah. You're doing something really. different. Taking out payday loans. Yeah. That's what every single person. who goes behind their spouse's back. does. Says they do it for them. I was. working till I was 40 weeks pregnant.
So, I was already stressed out. Like, you could have told me. Yeah. Like, I. guess. So, what what So, okay, we're. hearing about payday loans for the first. time. Great. For why? For why? It was. instant money. I needed it. There was. moments where like Why did you need it? Well, so. when we moved into our house, we had. moved in with a friend. Um, we were. going to split rent with this person. We. moved in in 2023 December and he was. going to split rent with us. We all. signed on to the lease and well, like 3.
weeks in, he quit his job uh that he was. working in Lafayette, Louisiana at a. construction company, and he went try to. go to the oil field. So from then we. started having to cover the whole. $1,500 amount in rent and I wasn't. making enough money at the time because. I had recently also gone through a. demotion um when I went back to. Chick-fil-A um because between February. when I left in February during the. remodel I got offered a job at one of. the South because he told this girl he.
couldn't pull his pull her break out of. his. ass so he got demoted. What the does that even I've never even. heard that in my life. But she has to go. on a break. To put it in order, I had. left from February to August um from. Chick-fil-A. They were doing a remodel. What did you just say? Someone translate. that to me. Someone pull a break out of. their ass. Yeah. So, when I got hired. back on at Chick-fil-A in um October, I. was a manager hired on and about. January, February, a younger team.
member, it was like her first week, she. had came up to me and asked to go on. break. and I was the back of house. manager and she was in the front and I. jokingly looked at her and was like, "What you want me to do? Pull your brake. mail on my ass." And she started. hysterically crying. Apparently, she had. a hard week at work. I instantly. apologized. Well, it was brought up to. management and then she quit and they. demoted me. So that and then she came. back hit my pay a lot. Yeah. A lot. Okay. One, as a boss, get.
to know them before you with them. Once. you get that thing once you get that. relationship then you can with each. other. Yeah. Two sounds like she's a. Okay. So. yeah it's a weird honestly it's a weird. thing to get demoted by but I. understand. I mean in our culture I've. gotten the position back now. Yeah. But. you got demoted. How long were you. demoted? I was. So what was your pay. hit? Cuz you had to get the payday loan. for this some of them. That was before I. took out the payday loan. So I was in.
full debt before that February to. October gap. I tried out a job. opportunity instead of like I was. saying, I was offered a job to work at. one of the South locations at. Chick-fil-A, but I didn't take it. You. are staring at the manager soul. You're. staring into my soul. It's just cuz I. have blue eyes. Okay. Um and after that, um where was that? But the Cali, he went to Cali for 7. months and then left me to pay the. bills. Yeah.
I had already racked up all my credit. cards. I didn't take the job opportunity. at Chick-fil-A. My brother was working. in California. Oh, guys, I am so lost. You're just talking about so much random. stuff. It's a lot. It is so much. We. graduated high school. Uh-huh. And we. were together. 5 months later, we took a. trip to Costa Rica. Sure. And that was. about five grand we spent. No, we had no. debt then. But did you go into debt for. us? No. For sake. So, was that the. start? Is that what we're saying?
That was the start of the mountain, the. pile. The you this all is that was the. beginning. Yeah. Okay. So, why have we. done nothing in the 3 years to combat it. to start rolling it back? Especially. since Especially since we had 9 months. of knowing we were pregnant. Well, there. was one moment where I actually did try. So, when one moment, oh, thank goodness. when I went to California to try to sell. solar with my brother. It ended up being. a whole Ponzi scheme and the people at. the top were making Ponzi Ponzi means,
but yeah, pyramid scheme, whatever. Probably closer to a pyramid scheme. The. people at the top were making all the. money doing stupid stuff, going to. parties all the time. [Applause]. Okay, let's talk about the payday loan. cuz that was actually. interesting. What the do you think about. this hearing about these payday loans? Why the would she not know? Now, I. understand why she maybe I understand. your logic even though I think you're. bull to be completely honest. I think. you're just trying to use that as a, you.
know, a. little virtuous when I have to ask. I. was already asking. for this already. You said that in your. nice little monotone voice. Yes, I heard. it. Okay, very good. So, why doesn't she. know 6 months since birth of the child? I didn't want to put that stress on her. My biggest thing is I don't want to have. So you will never So she will never be. capable of being able to listen to. anything you say because if she wasn't. there then she wasn't capable 3 months. She's already overwhelmed with taking.
care of a baby. I don't I be overwhelmed. forever with your own logic though. So. she you know you know what this means. You know what this means, right? And. it's cuz you weren't able to vet other. people, right? Yeah. So this guy. Tyler, yes, it's his fake name. I was. confirming. Okay. Yeah. Is he is. essentially saying that he will always. think you're stressed and as long as he. thinks you're stressed. I'll never be in.
the no. You'll never He can continue to. go behind your back on this. That is the. logic he is using. And I want that to be. very clear. And I took care of him while. he was in Cali. She did. And I told him. everything. He took a lot of burden on. that. Making sure to make sure the. minimums were paid. I never really the. only time I knew of the finances. Just that period. Wait, what do you. mean? You don't know about the finances. in general? Well, not really. Why? Why. aren't you guys having that conversation. together? This every [ __ ] couple. I.
don't know. Why? You don't know? I don't. know. How do you not? No. Okay. Why are. you not including her then? She doesn't. know why she's not being included. Guess. we just don't have conversations about. I mean like we'll have conversations. with like how much money we have left. after bills and stuff but like beyond. that it's just are you how combined are. we? Why you're married? I mean we do have. one joint bank account but we don't use. it. It's like a credit union. That's the. point. How do you even know all the. finances then? If one person's managing.
the finances, how do you even know what. they are if we're separate? I just cover. all the bills since she's been a. stay-at-home mom and the only thing she. covers is her car now. So she's making. money again. Yeah. Yeah. But how? What. if she's not able to cover that? Cuz she. only has $500. I was covering it at the. time. What's at the time? When she had. her baby and she wasn't working her You. guys hearing the theing words? Our baby. Come on. I This is starting to add up. here. Starting to add up.
Come on. The language you use, right? You hearing it? All right, baby. I'm not saying there's not love here. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying to. break up. We're not breaking up and it would be a. cuz we're married. Yeah. Okay. But some. of it I just don't ever want her to have. to worry. And I know it takes, you know, through conversation and stuff to have. awareness and stuff, but I don't want to. put that stress when we're, you know, struggling on her when she's already. back and commit financial infidelity for.
the rest of our marriage. That's going. to go real well, guys. Real plan on. doing it forever. Yeah. And when would. that logic change, guy? Through conversations that we would have. them cuz you don't want to stress her. out. Yeah. So when would that change? No. No. Yeah. Okay. Well, it's different. now. And don't use the bull. That's why. I'm here. Shut the not like, okay, yes, you're here. We can talk about things, but that doesn't mean all of a sudden. his entire behavior and mindset on life.
that he's been living the past. multi-year as you guys have been. together is all of a sudden changing. We. can give budgeting advice, maybe uh. conversations that you guys are able to. have, different mindsets of the way. you're able to look at any of that. stuff. Okay. But what honestly though to. you is going to be different apparently. now that you're getting called out by it. and I'm discovering this. Who even. knows, you know, if this was even in the. picture, but I'm discovering that, uh.
oh, dude's using his little, you know, virtuous looking. amazing to hide things from you and will. always use it. You're a baby. So, what. are we doing? You know, what is actually. going to change? Well, one of the. biggest things, too, is like I didn't. realize how much of especially with like. the payday loans and stuff until I sent. all the documents here. I didn't even. look at some of the interest rates on. these things and there there's one of. them. It has like a 7% interest rate. broken. You're the one that's overseeing. the finances. That was your self.
assignment. I know. And she was okay. with assigning that to you. I don't even. know how I was approved for them. I just. applied for. them. That's why the interest rates are. so high cuz so many people just let them. go into collections. Okay, that's not. the point. How about the point of why. the do you not know if you're the one. that's taking on the responsibility of. taking care of the house financially? I. should have looked at the statements. I. agree. I'm asking why you haven't. Thanks for agreeing with me. Why haven't. you? It was just simple. They take it. out your paycheck. You get the funds.
when you need it. I get that. I get. that. I get that. But you have self. assigned you. So why have you felt like. you have not needed to go through every. document and be informed on the. financial. houses the finances of the house? I feel. like it's just a bit big of a hole that. it's just overwhelming to look at. So. now you're So you need second eyes to. look at it so it's not overwhelming. No, you know what he just said? He says, "Now I'm and I'm not just protecting her. from getting overwhelmed. I'm protecting. myself." Oh, thank.
goodness. Really helping the house here. You got a kid, dude. Like we can't just. like put our hand, you know, put our. head in the sand. That's Well, we're not. able to do that anymore. Protecting him. from getting his chewed out. I'm sure he likes it. I'm sure he likes. it. I don't probably, but there needs to. be more conversation and I'm sorry about. that. It's all good, but there needs to. be more done about that. Right out of this ball, young. I mean, I.
I'm happy that you like that type of. language like there's there's two look. away like walkaways for it. There's the. walk away that I think, you know, people. that aren't involved in these. conversations will do, but they're like, "Oh, good. They're green." Or there's. the other way, you know, who's been. involved in so many of these. conversations where it's, "Oh, they're. both a green, so they can just move on. and not have any confrontation." Spoiler. alert, they told me beforehand that they. avoid confrontation because you guys are.
just afraid of confrontation with each. other. So, it's it's just like that. right there. what you guys just did that. is just so you can avoid this and never. have to talk about this. It's like, "Oh, we're drawing the line in the sand. We'll talk about it now.". It's like, "Okay." But you're not. You just. deferred that to a later date. Yeah. Honestly, it. just this is just going to be like our. fresh start. Why aren't you putting. yourself into the conversations? Why.
aren't you asking the questions? cuz you. know things are happening. You know. money there. You know money is going. away. You know there's debt. Why aren't. you putting yourself in there? Trust me. There's a little bit of responsibility. on your end as well here. Yeah. Well, I. do worry. Well, I have my car to worry. about and my everything. My my her baby. blah blah blah. Why? Guys, I don't think. you're like married. Like I think you. guys [ __ ] make a kid, but you guys. are not acting like you guys are. together. My my my hers hers his his.
his. What the [ __ ] Why are you so. separate on everything? There's no. inclusivity. Yeah, we just worried about. our own. We've kept everything so. separate so long that we got accustomed. to it since high school. Yeah. And just. kind of just rolled with it until we've. realized the point where we're at now of. so much where it's I look at my bank. account and it's gone before my check. comes in. And yeah, I still think about. her and my daughter every single day. when it comes to the finances. And I. realized the mistakes I made. Call it.
yours this time. the horrible mistakes I. made throughout the years and the. horrible mistakes I made behind your. back and pulling out those loans. I just. didn't want you to Yeah, maybe just. pulled out in general. That would have. saved us a big headache today. I'll. never regret that. We still be in debt. No, of course not. We have the kid. We. love the kid. But we still be in debt. Maybe even worse. Who even knows? Yeah. Because our expenses probably. And one. thing too, we really did cut back this. year. In my defense, those payday loans. weren't just used on mindless spending. or anything. It was our friend moved out.
of that house. I was having to cover an. insane amount of rent, paying back. family and stuff. But if we bring this. up, we have to do what is necessary to. cover the expenses without getting. a,000%ing loan. But in that moment, she. literally just birthed a child. She was. overwhelmed. But it's a partnership. Maybe she maybe someone on her family. side would be able to help. Not that I'm. advocating for that, but it's better. than a payday loan. You don't know. You. guys are in a partnership together to. solve it together. Okay. So, that's where you have the.
conversation to come up with solutions. together. We lack that a lot. We don't. really conversate like we should. Why? One, we don't see each other. I work a. lot and like I was saying uh earlier, I. work a horrible day. So, uh now luckily. I have Sundays and Mondays off. That's. when you always have Sunday. Yeah. Like. a month ago, I was working six days a. week. Yeah. But I'm a manager. So. sometimes I go in on Sundays for.
meetings. I run training. So I have team. leads underneath me that I have to go in. for meetings like every other Sunday. Every other Sunday. But I also work like. a horrible shift cuz I'm doing. different. He has two days off. We're. still not talking. On Mondays we go to. the park and we take our dog to the dog. park and our nephew and our and our. Sundays is really just cleaning and. family day. We bring You can talk guys. I'm talking a hour a month. That's true. Like what are we doing? You guys haven't. been proactive in that at all. We're.
just prioritizing other things. Yeah. Avoiding your mess, which by the way is. one of the leading causes for divorce in. this country. One, behind her back, that's going to be a leading cause. Two, finances. You guys are definitely headed. down the wrong train. And you really. don't want this. I mean, come on. Young. marriages. And I didn't realize any of. that until I really paid attention and. looked at it. You know, sending all. this, but that was your. selfprescribed job. I know, but I guess. you were supposed to be looking for. years. But the stress from everything. having a kid and all that stuff. Man the.
up. It's your responsibility. Period. You took it on. I mean, you. could do it, too, if you took it on. But. you took it on. You're the one that. prescribed it to yourself. We just need two. Oh, for sake, guys. For. absolutely dumb sake. What the are we. doing? And they just told me you haven't. been paying on the cards for a couple. months. The guy who runs Did you know. this? Yes. So, you knew this and you.
were okay with this? You didn't know. about the payday loans, but you know. this. We know we're not paying our cars. We know we'reing our credit. Hey, do you. own your home? No, we're renting. Okay. I bet parents that have kids that want. three, which will probably have 20, probably want a house and you're. obliterating your credit. You're. obliterating. Yeah. There is a reason. why I stopped paying on the credit. cards. I I bet it's to avoid stress. Is. it to avoid stress? No, it wasn't to. avoid stress. It was to pay for. necessities. We had to provide diapers.
for the baby. We had to pay electricity. We had to pay rent. That's also what the. payday loans we used for to catch up on. all that stuff. But no. going back to the cards the reason I. wanted to change the subject. I had seen. I had seen a Dave Ramsey post and it was. literally explaining if you're in a. situation where you can't provide. lights, you can't provide food. Agree. If you're not spending money on the. other stuff, I wasn't spending money on. anything, buddy. I have your. spreadsheet, your little tit. Yeah, we. do. Is she your sister? Like anything.
compared to the amount of money I make. Most of that goes to the debt and payday. loans that I have to pay. That's where. most of my money Most of it uh actually. 41% of it. Yeah. Yeah, there's [ __ ] in here. Yes, I. agree with Dave because those come. first. If you don't spend money on bull, I bet he didn't say the word bull, but. he probably said rice, whatever the you. know, it was just cuz up until now, I. mean, up until then, I've spreadsheet.
No, I was just saying up until Yeah, but. you still did what he said wrong. You. still chose things that were not. necessities. We have definitely. And you were okay. with this cuz you knew about this. Yeah, I did. And you were okay with it? I'm a willing. participant. I guess it's just more of we kind of. give into each other when we have extra. funds and we know bills are paid up. until a certain point we need to go get.
stuff or things like that. Just that. freedom. We spend that money on that. stuff. I want freedom. Yeah, but your. freedom is being delayed because yeah, 41.9% net is what went to debt. Like. that's that's not freedom. No, you got. to work to get out of this. The. situation you purposefully got yourself. in. You did this with your own choices. Freedom comes getting out of. this. Listen, you make the literal.
before taxes. Actually, you make more. before taxes than the median household. income in Lafayette as a single income. household because of the hours you work. Yeah. Yes. But you make more. Well, then. so you are doing this with your. spending, your choices, your this is all on you. So like pretty. much also we live in affordable housing. So like currently right now we pay $10.
Well, it's an income limit. So, when we. applied for it, the threshold was like. for a three uh income house, it was like. 45,000 and I made 42 with her income. We. didn't really qualify cuz we had and we. had we had So, that, you know, got us, you know, a little extra income. But, well, I do have good news. The average. rent for a two-bedroom apartment in. Lafayette, Louisiana is. $1,175. Congratulations. You guys aren't. going to be Yeah, but most of them are. your choices. Again, this is not another.
excuse. I have data at my. fingertips. All you got to do is look. And guess what? It's an if and I. understand the want of the two bed. But. maybe we one bed for a bath. Will we get. out of the debt? Maybe we one bed for a. bit. A year even. Will we get out of. debt? What? What? Why? No. At least what sacrifice are we. willing to do to get out of debt, though? Cuz then you can have a. threebedroom. I'm talking a year. Okay. Well, it. doesn't technically really need its own.
space. You kind of do. Yes, I get that. But also, just put the make the bed the. living room. Their bedroom the living. room. pretty much with the No, no. I'm saying. the [ __ ] crib and stuff. Oh, that's horrible. No, that just looks. weird. It makes the house look horrible. I don't give a I care about the future. of the household. This is a one-year. sacrifice and I'm not even saying you. have to do this. If you can afford the. two bed, you know, the the the the the. average two bed there, 1,175,
which you were going to complain that. your rent was about to go up, right? Right. No, it's not. We're getting less space, though. So, Oh, no. We also have a dog. Yeah. And. it's like everything laid out is Guess. what? I got a dog when I only had my own. room in an apartment where I shared it. with a roommate. It's okay. Well, we got a dog cuz. someone broke into our house while me. and were sleeping. Me and our daughter.
were sleeping. I get I I didn't say it's. bad to have a dog. I don't care. I love. dogs. What? Good. I don't know. It has. to be done. Cool. I'm not against this. I don't I. don't know why you're bringing that up. I guess she's more bring it up cuz we've. recently got the dog a few months ago. Even though we're in all this debt, guys. So, the average is less than 30%. of your net income. It's totally within. your limits. I don't know what we're. complaining about and trying to make an. excuse about. No, it is your choices. that is keeping you here. So, shut the. up. Take some responsibility. My.
goodness, guys. Got it. That's for a. twobedroom. You'll be. fine. That's so small. Well, right. No, two bedroom. We're in a. threebedroom, two bath. Oh my. Guys, you. don't need that. You don't even need. two. It is much better. If we move into. if we move into a two-bedroom, we have a. washer and dryer and a couch and it's a. big sectional. That couch won't fit in. some of the apartments that are so.
small. I don't give a You get a couch. off a Facebook marketplace. What am I. supposed to do with my couch now? Sell. it. You sell it. You pay for it. I don't. give a Everything you sell, you will. have paid for most likely. I don't care, buddy. I'm trying to save you monthly. cost so you can survive. Right now. you're talking about how you're not. paying your credit cards to pay. utilities. Shut the up. I don't give a. [ __ ] If you're not willing to make. changes, there's no hope for this. conversation. Good luck with this one. Like, want to have to like pay for a. couch and a new house or something like. it's easier to just already used. Used.
used. You don't pick the rich area, which I don't know if there is in. Lafayette. There is. Congratulations. Pick that area on Facebook Marketplace. They're getting rid of they're just. getting rid of it. and the time worth. selling in their couch, you know, is. worth is better spent just getting rid. of it than actually trying to sell it. and make money. Okay, that's what you. do. It's what it's what me and my. friends do here in Austin. Find the rich. zone Facebook marketplace there. It's. where you get all the goodies. Okay, two. bed. That's a downgrade. I don't give a.
compromise with two bed. You'll be. fine. Okay, I'm going to go 3 2 1 go. This is way too long of an introduction, but you guys are just a. So far, immovable rock, which makes me. very nervous for because this is a this. is a woo. This is a lot. All right, I'm. going to go three, two, one, go. On go. I want you to give me your household. financial score from both of your. perspectives at the same exact time. 3 2. 1. Okay. You think you're a little.
better. You think you're worse, but. you're not willing to change. This guy. makes a lot of sense. All right, cool. If you want your Hammer financial score, go to Caleb.com, take the assessment, see where you stand. You can also go to. the link in the description below. You. can also apply there. Caleb.com/apply. And if you don't want. to turn out like these, I'll tell you. how. Download my budgeting app link in. the description as well. Anyone who. signs up for the annual version. We will. send you the cookbook signed right to. your doorstep, which you guys get for. free. Congratulations. Take advantage of.
the premium version. You better. It's. like it's the tool you need. Okay. Everything's automated. He loves to. cook. I do. That's one thing that has I. mean since we've been scavenging for. money cuz in our house we've spent. money. What do we do though when he's. not there for dinner because of work for. meal prep? Yeah. So like something. actually reasonable after cuz we spent. 40 minutes of bull on a lot of the cards. is from when we just had open credit. limits and we go eat out and stuff.
We're about to start going through them. Discover it. What's up with this first. card? Uh-huh. Then what's up with that? Uh, I. got that one when I was 18. That was. actually I opened it up on my 18th. birthday. I would always kind of watch, you know, financial um videos on YouTube. and stuff like that. So, just to kind of. have an idea for the sake, who' you. watch? Uh, I don't even remember at this. point. It's probably Graham Stefen. Um, none of them would have done. No,
no, not at all. Correcting finance. YouTube and ending up like this. the. first like 6 months that cuz it was a. secured credit card. I paid the $200. every single month. Um and then what was. the minimum monthly payment on this. before you started getting late? Minimum. monthly payment like financing. Okay. Well, now it's at 317. So, I'm going to. put it at 70 cuz we're going to catch. up. This ising stupid. It's 313 right. now because you're just not paying on it. because we're choosing everything else. that we're going to go over throughout.
this conversation that you have put on. it. $42 of interest, $41 of fees. fees that you're endlessly stacking. Oh, for death. It is almost $300 over the. credit card limit. Did you know that? No. Yeah. What do we think? How does that even happen? Interest. Interest. It was maxed out. And not. making a payment. What do you think? You're not making a You are okay with. not making a payment. You are okay with. that. You have enabled it. Well, I'm not.
okay with it. I don't have the money. either to do it. Like I don't he don't. why the are we not okay pure and simple. We could end the conversation here. We're not going to but we could. Here it. is. Combine your finances and if you. don't if we keep this his mine, you guys. are never going to make it. This is a. fun one. I get to get you free money and. then I get to get myself free money. It's a pure win-win for both of us. What. do you have to do? Sign up for a SoFi. high yield savings account and get a. welcome bonus of $300. Sign up for.
Acorns using my link and get $20 instead. of the usual $5. Finally, sign up for. Silo and earn up to $5,000 in cash back. on your own stocks. These offers have. been negotiated to give us both more. money than using traditional signup. methods. So, use the links in the. resources section of the description. below and get yourself. $5,320 right now. There you go. We need. to combine our bank accounts. Yes. She also says that she doesn't want to.
close hers when I say just join mine. No, I'm okay with having like a spending. account or something, but let's have the. main bills and everything go through the. joint. Incomes hits the joint and then. if we're able to allocate personal. spending, we can allocate that to our. personal checking accounts. You guys. don't really have spending money right. now cuz apparently according to you, you. can't even afford utilities. So tax, you. don't have spending money. So this is. your credit card. Okay. So, you opened. it forever ago trying to be a little. finessy with all the points and all the.
sign on bonuses, right? Yeah. You're not. credit card people. You're the opposite. of credit card people. You can't manage. a credit card to save your life. Don't. be credit card people. Don't try to be. Okay. Just make it look so good. Easy. Yeah. And then you just make it look so. $300 over the limit. Yeah. Then it's also like when they do it went. up to 1,800 and then it's like you have. more spending and then at that point. your credit's good enough and then. that's when I was opening up my other.
cards and then I mean for finance. YouTube real quick and it's not always. perfect but there is not a singleing. credit card channel in the world that. does not that is not very clear about. that you need to pay it off every single. month and is the only way to make this. work. So the the make it look so easy. No, you just manage it. You budget. you. just be an adult. And clearly, you have. been incapable of being an adult with. your debt, which means you should never. open a credit card again until you guys.
are 100% knowledgeable about where every. single dollar, every single cent goes. Once you know that, then you can manage. a credit card. But look, you're not even. making your payments, man. Not even. making your payments. And it started. with that Costa Rica trip. Yeah. Was. this a girl? At that time, 540 credit. score. good luck getting the house for a. kid to grow up in. It got increased the. limit and then I was able to open up. open up some other cards and me and her. um had just graduated high school and we. wanted to go on a vacation. I had went.
to Costa Rica when I was 13. Um so I. wanted to show her it. You know, we had. been together for so long and we planned. on moving out eventually from my. parents. I wanted to take a little. vacation and we went and I got a promise. ring. We spent about like five grand. Um. on that trip about a grand of it was. promised to never pull out. Lived up to. it. Amen. Um but yeah um you're really. gonna have it forever kids, right? Just. kids until you're just no longer able. when I'm getting a vasectomy. Okay,
there you go. That might be the way to. do it. But but you know at your guys's. rate that means we're probably having a. kid like next year. Hopefully no more. scares. Hopefully like two years. Hopefully. But not with the way you. practice. Okay. TMI, but I don't give a. [ __ ] already have permission. You. guys a lot. Okay, then a kid is probably going to. come. Well, it's like like he pulls out. So, like it's safer. But look, we. literally have a child. Do we not have a. child? But no, that's slips up. Oh,
well, what's what if he slips up? Slips. in. Slips up. The goal is not to. Okay, guys. Oh my. I. love it. So, we're having a kid next. year and then a kid the year after that. And we can't even afford to have a. single kid. So, good luck. We're not. paying our credit cards on choice. How's. the job market in Lafayette? Cuz it's in. a declining state. And honestly, Exactly. So, why are we in Lafayette? Why aren't we moving to We want to get. out of there. Yeah. Why aren't we moving. to like Houston or something? That's. what we're thinking about, but there not.
necessarily. There might be more. opportunity there. You're in a declining. city, in a declining city. My positions. in Houston and Austin, same position. pays $5 to $10 more an hour. Well, okay. Yeah, but cost of living is higher in. those areas. But I'm looking for future. job opportunities probably outside of. the festival world, unless you're. actually getting into that store manager. position. I am like active and like. going to leadership events and stuff. Okay. Well, keep that up. That's. actually pretty good. I I like that. I've been working there since I was 17. Make those connections. I mean, it is a.
pretty good place to get up. Maybe you. can be a franchise. Really good. That's. where I've kind of gotten all the. opportunity from. Do you like the. operator? Our new one? Yes. Okay. The. old one was horrible. He was the one. that first owned the ones in Louisiana. Well, he could only own three and uh he. built a new location on the south ridge. side and got that one and gave up ours. He never cared about our story. Not. really in a good place. Again, it's just. like no [ __ ] Baton Rouge just New. Orleans is kind of it's cool place. It's. considered city in the US. Which one? Lafayette where we're from. Look up the.
happiest city in the United States. I. think Lafayette will come up. He thinks or what it's called. I've seen. it before. Oh, really? Yeah. No, not to defend. You didn't see the. highest suicide rate. I'm just not 100%. Uh Fairmont, California ranked the. highest. Never mind. Uh you know, it's interesting. Worst. Uh.
Shriefport, Louisiana. Real close. Don't. go there. Happiest cities, Fremont, California. San Jose, California. Madison, Wisconsin, Overland Park, Kansas, and San Francisco, California. Worst, Detroit, Huntington, West. Virginia, Shriport, Louisiana. Cleveland, Ohio. I would be from Ohio as. well. I would just end it all. Montgomery, Alabama. So, I don't know. what the you're talking about. Declining. job market, declining state. Might have. been a local news station. I don't know. Yeah. Okay. Now, obviously, the kid was born. last fall. Have we had a scare since.
then? No. No. Little spooky scare. Well, I'm breastfeeding, so it's like a. natural Yeah, but it's not 100%. But it helps. Okay. Anything that helps. Well, besides the condom. Are you anti. that? We're both anti- condom. It makes. it awkward. Southern sex ad, ladies and. gentlemen. Makes it awkward. Okay, guys. Look [ __ ] Woo. We. are There are babies coming, ladies and.
gentlemen. They're going to be. beautiful. It's okay. We have a. declining birth rate. We got to have. irresponsible people somewhere. Apple card. What's going on with this. one? So, that was actually one that I. opened up after um my discover. They. like had instantly gave me This is yours. again. Yeah. I gave me um like a 3,000. limit. And that at the same time, shouldn't matter if you're a responsible. adult. I had opened it before a Costa. Rica trip. So, all the hotels and stuff.
I had put on those. How much of this is. going to be [ __ ] stupid Costa Rica? And it can't even be 100%. Because guess. what? The other one wouldn't be over the. limit if it was just Costa Rica. And. then since then, we made our minimum. payments cuz you wouldn't be at the. limit. You'd be under the limit. Okay. How long do you think until the last. card is paid off if you make minimum. monthly payments only without making. purchases, which one, you're incapable. of when you have room to spend, and two, you're incapable of also making your. minimum monthly payment? But go ahead. Let's pretend perfect world. You make. your minimum payment, don't purchase. How long does it take to pay off? Probably 20 years, 30 years.
11 years, which is still horrendous, but. yeah, it's still horrible. 11 years. 17 years for this one. A $528. minimum. But that's what's it normally? I'm assuming this is cuz it's also late. You're making it worse, though. What's. our Okay, how about this? Tell me what. your plan was cuz we've been not paying. for 2 to 3 months. What was our plan? Cuz the catchup was insane. The ketchup. payments on these would be insane. So, what was the plan? Well, obviously you. don't have a plan cuz you don't know. about a single thing.
Hopefully soon I can pay off a little. bit on the payday loans and that that's. what's ripping me off. Our plan is. making payments that we're not paying. Come on. How are we making payments? What was your plan going to be using our. tax return? Pay off the payday loans as. fast as possible because those are. taking out like one of the payday loans. is taking out like $800 a month. $400. making payments on the payday loan. On. the payday loan. Yes. Okay. Payday. loans. Return I appreciate. Has it hit. yet? We're waiting on it. How much? It's.
going to be like four and a half. Child. tax credit. Yes. Hell yeah. And I'm going to use some of that for. one of Southern United States, ladies. and gentlemen. Every single. time. Yikes. Is that the only reason. we kept it to term? C. What's the term? Oh my.
Yes. He's covering her face. She can't. even What. the Nuke. Louisiana? Let's just call it. Let's. call it. Let's go down to 49. 49. What? Oh, kill me now.
Lindsay, what have you brought into my. office? Stay at. Chick-fil-A. And that's not a bad. career. That's not an insult. I'm just. afraid of you being on something. different and interviewing for. it. Okay. So, the Apple Card, what were. what were we putting on here? What's.
even the limit on the Apple Card? Do we. know? Uh, it was three, but then it got. out to four and now we're at 426. So, we're above the limit. Yeah. Um, general, I mean, I'm told we're getting. like air fryers and appliances and. washer and dryer and trash and TV and. dining table and chairs. 1,000 bucks for. that. 3,000 for the other, $800, $500. for decor. Well, that was spent all. after. So, we spent all that afterwards. Yeah. But closer to today after I got. back from Cali and she was paying the. cards and I had got a job back at.
Chick-fil-A. I was making good money cuz. I was a manager before I got demoted. California call it Cali. I I tried to I. was going to say I've never heard in. anyone in the world except for these two. call it Cali. But we're very stuck on. the Cali. It's Cali. California. California is just too long to say, but. it's also what everyone else says. Okay, go ahead. Um, and I started doing words. are hard. We do try to keep them. Well, I started doing the snowball method. And. I was able to pay down my utilization. from like 80% to about like 45. He knows. the snowball method, ladies and.
gentlemen. He knows the Dave Ramsey. He. knows the financial audit. He knows the. credit card channels. Yet, he takes the. information. He's like, "Oh, people have. changed their lives with that. Let us do. the opposite.". I guess it's just more of when we would. impulsively want to go on a date or go. and buy something at the store. Like. there was a time where we were spending. a lot of money on like Squishallows and. stuffed animals and she think it was. like a stuffed animal. They're cute and. they're huge, but they're like $30 a. piece. Maybe focus on theing sentient.
bean in our house instead of We didn't. have her then. Yeah. Yeah. But it was. definitely coming the way you guys were. doing things. Definitely. Listen, the. decor in your house was just ended 2023. It's like she has to decorate all the. space in the house. Has to. That's a. need for survival. It makes it a home. You guys live there. A roof over your. head is what matters. You guys instead. of a roof over your head, you're over. your credit card balance. limits. That's where we.
are. Okay. And I think maybe financial. security for the sake of our kid is more. important. At the time, I just wasn't. thinking about that. But I wasn't. thinking about the future. Uh-huh. Clearly, but at that time I was in the. mindset you have high limits. You have. income. The minimum payments aren't that. bad. So you think you could just spend. spend spend. But then once you spend. spend spend it get to this point cuz. yes, you're not spending on these first. two credit cards, but you're already. $300 over on both. You can't spend. You.
would still be spending if you could. Like that has not changed. Let's not try. to be this has been. Listen, you wouldn't be doing it today. Your behavior has not changed. In fact, you've just deferred to something worse. Fees. Bull that's going to hurt your. credit eventually. More money. Well, Huh. More money. Having to pay. Yeah. Having to pay more money. Yeah. You have. to pay. Okay. Yep. Just going further.
and further into debt like with the late. fees and the interest. It just Listen, I'm thrilled. Do you agree with me on. that point? Everyone would. You walked. in here with that and did nothing to. change that. Not even a day before. So, what the agree with me all you want to. look good, but you guys are doing this. My goal with my next paycheck though is. to make sure cuz I know after like 3. months they close. I'm going to try to. keep them all, you know, caught up to. the point where they don't close and. then hopefully I get to a point where I. can start tripping more. I've been.
working more hours. So, some of my. checks have been upwards of more than. 2,000, around 21,00. And then her. working now, she said she's going to. start, you know, helping catch up on the. cards and stuff like that. Well, when we. get back, we're getting a joint bank. account to start. Yeah, that's going to. be our start and writing down. everything. Yeah. Actually having a. budget cuz the only budget we ever used. is make sure the bills were paid even. though they were budget on this 2018 Tik.
Tok dude haircut. We don't budget at. all. I mean, I know that perm's. expensive. It's not a perm. This is all. natural. Yeah. Well, no. Yours looks. real. Yeah. How does mine not look real? Cuz it's almost is like too much. Well, you know, it's just product in it. But. my hair is natural. I just cut it too. shorter. But I My hair was like almost. curly. We're not talking about hair. I. don't give a I was making a little joke. I can get these guys to go down any. rabbit hole except for the ones where. they pay off their debt and take any. kind of responsibility. $84 of interest.
acrewing at. 26.24% interest rate. Huh? Continue. I. heard something. I just H I'm just What? Empathies. Yeah. Just in disbelief. That's all. blood. What are you close to the no? We're not in Alabama or in Louisiana. You always defer to the next one down. the ladder. Oh, $854.91 with a minimum monthly payment. of $81. No. What's the normal one? Cuz. again, this is fees. Probably around. 40. It's like 30. All the capitals were.
like 3540. Again, no spending. Why? Because we're $50 over the credit limit. $850. $4.91 is the balance. Credit limit. 800. How many are you behind on? Okay. So, she doesn't on all of them. So, she. doesn't know. Is she not allowed to know. or what's happening? It wasn't until. recently that I told her that I saw pay. that. It's just I just we just he just. we just don't have conversations about.
our finances. We really don't. We just. take care of our own bills. Listen, we. kind of already went over the why he. thinks he's not bringing it up. Again, I. think I asked this, but I didn't get an. answer. Why don't you try to take some. initiative and ask? I just have other things to worry about. Yeah, I think whether or not we lose the. roof of our head and have food on the. table is a pretty important one. Also, diapers for the kids. Pretty important. And the development of my child is also. very important to me. Mhm. Which we need. money to do. So, and care and love and.
care and love. It's hard to give that. without a roof and food and water and. utilities and electricity and right. everything. basically car to transport them in. So. why the have you not? You just don't care. Show me. You don't. care. I'll ask every now and then, but I. So what's the ask? Just how much is on. this card? How much is on that card? How. does this conversation go? Typically, I. mean, recently, the past 6 months, it's.
really just been no conversation cuz it. was they were maxed out and then I was. just paying minimums and we were just I. would just ask if we needed you were. just I feel like you just you're too. accepting. You're just like because you. like the dude, you know, yay, freshly. married. Woo, new kid. Yippee. So, it's. like we're not willing to push back on. anything, especially out of our fear of. confrontation. I guess I just trusted. him. Okay. And you still trust him? Clearly not. Clearly I shouldn't. I'm.
asking, do you trust him? Not with the. finances. No. Okay. Cuz he literally. went behind your back. Yes, I. know. Very disappointing. thoughts. Very embarrassing. Embarrassed. and disappointed myself that. I trust you and it's just you're. disappointed in yourself. She does. Your. wife does not trust you with money. And. that's it. Little disappointment. That's. all you feel. Just regret that I even. went down that hole and never had those. conversations with her and.
never was open and honest about what we. needed to do in certain situations, dire. or not, when it came to finances. And I. should have had those conversations and. we didn't. And yeah, I was in a sense of I guess at. the time I was justifying it to make. sure she wasn't overwhelmed, but now I. feel like it's going to just put us in a. more overwhelmed state at this point. You know, how does he win back the. trust? Well, one, the joint account so I can. see everything that's going in and out.
and budgeting and making a list cuz I He. can always do things behind your back. there. How do you gain the trust back? Joint's great, but he can do anything. behind your back. Guess go through the. statements. You know, there hasn't been. any known cheating. Correct. No. God. knows. Okay. Just making sure. Well, listen. You took out payday loans behind. your back four times. So that's. different than infidelity, but it's in. the same area mentally of like he was. willing to do something pretty egregious. behind your back. It was in a sense of.
not putting stress on her though. I. didn't want to tell her, "Oh, we can't. afford the first month's rent out our. logic. I don't give a you virtuous. little defensible guy." Sure. Still did it. You still did it. Decisions were made. And now we're here. Bad ones. Real bad. ones. Great. We can all. agree. Fees. Fees forever. Interest. forever.
29.74%. interest. And again, it's the the the. the date thing. It's not like a couple. dates a month, you know, outing whatever. get in a triple dipper. Like, sure, we. can do that. That's okay. That's not. obviously what got us tens of thousands. of dollars into bad debt and not making. payments. Okay. So that that's not the. issue. How I mean how often are we going. well now? None. But you said dates got.
you into like this card's hole and dates. and just we What were we doing? Enjoy. shopping cuz how often though. isce once a week twice a week? Once a. week going to a restaurant. Where are. you going? What are you spending? We. would go to restaurants and then but. before the restaurants we would go to. like Olive Garden. That's not. horrendously expensive. Target spend. money there. Not horrendously expensive. Yeah. Yeah. Usually not. I guess it's. just a like a a pile of small things.
that just add up over time. Yeah. If you. do it a ton throughout the week. If it's. once a week, it wouldn't One of our. things is is like always buying stuff. that's like cheap or at clearance or. less price, but then we buy more of it. or a bigger quantity of stuff and then. that adds up to be more than what we. would have spent somewhere else, you. know. Okay. Another Discover it. Does. that mean this one's yours? That's hers. Yeah, that. $9.93 actually under the credit limit. and a minimum of payment owed. Maybe you. should be the one that's overcharged.
with the finances. Hm. I've never had a. mis payment or a late payment. I haven't had up until now the past. Are. you ever going to give me your guys'. real thoughts out of non like pretending. like you're not afraid of confrontation? Cuz this dude is [ __ ] up all the. finances. You've never missed a payment. and we're totally chill. We're totally. chill. I just feel like like at the. point where I did kind of get. information on our finances, it was too. late. Like it we were already so there's. I felt like there was I had no control.
and I couldn't do anything. He's still. not making payments now. Yeah, I know. But like I said earlier, I don't have. the funds to fund him. Like unless my. stuff's paid off. It's not about that. It's about the actions he's doing. affecting your household, not about what. you can do. You're not advocating for yourself at. all or for the household or for the. kid. You don't have to pay $37. interest growing $21 takes seven years. to pay off at this rate. Yeah. So,
what's up with this? Cuz this was. honestly just stopped spending on this. card pretty recently for it to be. basically at the max. That one, what. were we doing? Will be Mm- That one. um I used when we got married and I used. for our daughter's baby shower six. months ago. Okay. Yeah. And a little bit. after for a few things. You have to pay. for your own baby shower. groceries. Is. that how that usually works? At our. house that we were at, we don't really.
get much financial help from Do they. usually pay for their own baby showers? Who usually pays for it? I don't know, but I've never Well, your mom did. I've. never pooped out of your mom's house. Also, there's multiple. There was two a. mixed one with usually multiple men and. women and then can be okay. Yeah. Well, she came she comes from the family. So, there was some separation with like the. one we threw was all our friends, co-workers and stuff like that. I just. have two well one set of parents that. raised me, but I have a biological side.
of the family. Did they have a baby. shower? No, they came to our second one. cuz we wanted to keep those separate. Yeah, it was Why did they kill each. other? It's a mess. No, they just My. adopted side just hates them. Oh, good. Yeah. Very healthy. Huh? Toxic. That right there stresses me out. He pays for a $5 rat every month. We. have a snake. Yeah, we have a snake. His. name's Bodie. Sick. You guys can't.
afford life and we're cheap. Yeah. And. it's not going to defing defend your. house if someone breaks in. We got that. right after high school. Still cool. before debt. It is relatively cheap. unless you have to upgrade tanks. That. kind of then it gets expensive. We. already had the tanks. Yeah. Upgrade. Sometimes they run out of space. Uh we. bought a new tank for him and I probably. put that on one of the credit cards. Oh. yeah. When? That was that was when we. were in our last house. It was like. probably during the summer. That was.
like the beginning of us being in our. house. We had got a new tank. Charging. 27.2%. Of course we did. 27.24% interest rate. Great. What. the Okay, you started the month above. balance. Above the limit. So what the. [ __ ] was happening? You must have just. been spending on this card. You started. the month above the limit. Which one? The one we were just her discover. Yeah,
I did. I paid it down. What were you. spent? Give stuff for him. Give. stuff for my dad. Give my your phone. Your discover account. your phone. It. was probably stuff for the baby. I'm. hoping so. And I will. vet. Oh, good. Back to your card next. I. see. Cuz there's no payment made. Oh, the internet connection. I'm Why did. you join the Wi-Fi? Just pass it that.
way. There was a QR code in the green. room. We didn't know. Who's ever fight? Pass it to him. I. don't know. He You guys fight ever? No. We kind of try to avoid that. I get. it. But at some point, it's important to. have this conversation. Finances is the. tough conversation. We really don't do. things to piss each other off or try to. nag at each other. Well, or Well, that. would be very active. That doesn't mean. people don't fight. Well, no. I don't.
know. I mean, my concern is like that. you guys aren't willing to ever have. conversations at all about anything. It. is scary. Okay. So, the statement before. this, here it is. There it is. $45 to. spending credit score. U645. Uh, no, we went in the gas. station, got something, and then we went. to the candle smoke shop. Yeah, for the. baby. Exactly. Knew that was going to. happen.
Tell me it's for the baby. Yeah. Uh-huh. Great. So, what do you get at the gas. station? Monsters oring smokes? What did. we get at the gas station that day? We. did get a vape at the smoke shop. Oh, good. Why live long for our child? Uh, I don't know what we got that maybe. snacks. You vaping? I may on the low. sometimes. Why pick it back up? You went. nine months without like I did. No, I. did. I did. I did. Okay. So, why not. just keep it off? Why pick it back up? There's no reason to. Mama is stressed.
Yeah, you're going to be more stressed. when you have [ __ ] lung cancer or. whatever. And yeah, it's definitely something we. need to stop. You do it a lot. I vape, too. Yeah. What you guys spend on vape? Maybe $20 every two weeks, $40 a month. We'll buy one vape every. check. [ __ ]. dude. All right. Capital One must be. yours. Like I said,
$645.75. Minimum monthly payment. What. is it normally? Uh those were usually. 25. Okay. $25 right now 72 because we're behind. interest. acrewing fees being. charged above the credit limit $645 700. uh uh with the limit being.
$61. passy what are we putting on this dude. This card this card's only a couple. years old. Is that the We immediately. maxed it out. So it's Capital One just. platinum. Yeah, platinum. I only knew about three of them. Everyday spending gas at that time. And. I'm being told date nights. Yes. But. door dashing as well. Yeah. In our old. house, we weren't um cooking at all. I. wasn't cooking at all. So we would door.
dash at night. We I would go pick up. Canes at night. I would pick up food on. the way home, especially towards the end. of my pregnancy. Just the convenience. she wanted. No lie, I was getting it for. easy convenient. And the cards were. probably 80% utilization at that time. when we were spending on them. Definitely. So, we bought it to the max with all our. Door Dash and then once we're at the. max, couldn't spend any more any more. money, we decided not to make payments.
on them. And now fees are acrewing. It's. at 31.24% interest. Great. Oh, for [ __ ] sake. We have a. credit one. That's the worst of the. worst. So that's when we know we're. showed up in the mail and you're like, "Yeah, let me destroy my life." Great. Oh, good. It's maxed out by over the. limit. $110. So balance. $410.79 with a minimum monthly payment. of 60. No, that was the past due.
Usually 30. Usually 30. We owe double. the payment plus more. Oh, no. Because. minimum fee payment is now 129 because. we got late fees and then regular fees. and then interest and you [ __ ] you. [ __ ]. you. What did you put on this? Probably. more bull dumb things. Stupid vapes and. bull. You just opened this one last. year. Yeah. No, this one was just opened. like a few months ago. What are we. doing? And it's over maxed out already.
You're okay with this? No. What are your thoughts? Cuz you're. so passive. I'm just baffled. Like I. just don't know what to say. Like I'm. finding this out with you. Yeah, but. you're just going to accept this. forever. No, you're never going to push. for him to change his ways cuz you never. confront. You never confront. He's just. going to be allowed to continue like. this forever without you standing up and. slapping him into shape. I feel like when I do confront, I just. get a lot of excuses. Well, yeah, that's.
all he's been doing this entire. conversation. So, it's just Yeah. Take. some accountability for your actions. Be. aing, you know, adult. I just know it. stresses her out to have conversations. like that. And it stresses you out. I think it stresses me out to have those. conversations. A [ __ ]. I'm just not a [ __ ] Scared to have. He's acting like a [ __ ] I guess it's. more of taking in his actions. You're. saying he's not. Look, he's not willing. to have a conversation with you cuz he's.
scared. I think I'm just scared to take. that accountability from you and. being held accountable. And not only. that, but you need to starting. participating. You need to be checking. in on the overall finances, not just a. balance of one account that you want to. spend on. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. You guys. need to be sitting down at start. multiple times a month, probably almost. weekly, then go to bi-weekly, and then. go to monthly. Mhm. Okay. I mean, again, all this would be. automated. You'd know it all if you had. the budgeting app. Yeah. It's all.
[ __ ] automated. It's there. It tells. you everything. I just with being in so. much debt, I didn't think it was. a smart thing to get another monthly. subscription or something. Yeah, but. it's a monthly subscription that people. have that then they pay off tens of. thousands of dollars in. debt. And it costs us money to have it. every time you connect an account. So. yeah, every time someone has a free. account, it costs us money, too. So. yeah, there's going to be a. subscription, but people subscribe, you. know, a few bucks a month and then they.
pay off thousands of. dollars. It's good math. Yeah, I know. That one was a dumb one to take out. All. of them were. That was one of the ones where you just. go on Credit Karma and it's like, "Oh, you're approved for this one." So, you. just take everything you're approved for. and instead of paying for a monthly. subscription that helps you, you get. vapes. You and the vapes. Yeah. Me and you living past 60.
when you have a kid. That's a weird No, I agree. It's. something we need to stop. But you. don't. Words are great, guy. Actions. Let's have those for a change. Okay. It. must be yours because Oh, this one's. even an extra bonus. We are above the. credit card limit, of course, cuz you. know, Sick. Sick over. But we also. purchased We also purchased. $15 with six. What's your normal monthly.
payment? 25 probably. Good. Minimum. And. then I don't know what the purchase was. So, I was going I'm about to tell you if. you have a little bit of patience. Calm. down. $33456. balance. fees. interest you went into circle K and gas. and bold. circle. K it was probably gas I don't go into.
circuit I don't go inside of circle K's. only it's possible I don't know yeah. I'll take your word for it but you still. put it on a credit card that is now over. max that you can't pay off that is green. it's just that you're not making minimum. payments on which means it is acrewing. fees. You're doing that. Oh, here we. go. The big daddies, the payday loans. What's the balance of it now? Do you. even know. what what they were when I got them? Not.
when I How about now? Because we're. talking about now and I also said now I. financed 500, but I have to pay. What's. the balance now? Total of payments is 1,900. balances. You don't know the balance. How far? When did you get this? Which. one is that? Oh, yeah. I just showed. you. Like credit ninja, buddy. I just. showed you. Take a look again. You prove it. I took that one out. That's the the one she didn't know about.
that I took out when we got into our new. apartment. When did you take this out was the. question. November. January. Oh, December or January of this year. Move. in. Yeah. Oh, good. Good. Okay. So, the. balance is going to be like high. Yeah. Yeah. It's probably like I don't with. the finance version and the [ __ ]. Listen, it is at a. 547.87% interest rate of death. Death. I didn't even see that in $500. Pay.
2,000 back. I don't know. It's probably. at $1,000 now with the interest in the. bull. I'm just gonna say a [ __ ] I I I. I I I I don't know. I don't know. I. don't know. You don't know. You don't. know. I definitely don't know. Why don't Well, here let me tell you the minimum payment. is $18.84. Every check that's bi-weekly. All of. them are you. Everyone is bi-weekly.
Oh god. Yeah, that's why I said one of them was. have a little reaction to it, but you're. passive. You just allow this. You allow. this. You allow this. I don't allow it. I didn't know. You know, if he cheated, if he cheated on you, and he's not going. to, and I don't think he would, but. actually, I don't know. He is in that. kind of realm of whatever. Either way, let's pretend he's not. If he did, you. would just be, "Oh, no." That's it. That's That's how the. conversation. ended. That's it.
There'd be no. talk. Let there be nothing. And he'd be. like, "I did. it." So that I didn't hurt your feelings. by asking for a lot having to move out. with a month old baby. You're right. He'd use that excuse for why he's. someone else. And I did. I wanted to make sure we had. a roof over our head and it was a dumb. decision. Oh, am I hearing the same. thing I've heard 10 times? Yeah. Oh, good copy and paste. Good copy and. paste. Well.
done. M keep it going. I just wanted to. make sure that bills were covered. It. was all used for none of it was mindless. spending. It was used for rent and. things like that. But sh enough with you. quiet now. They're telling me, the. producers are telling me that your wife, what is it? Dolores. No, Bianca. Who. knows? It was some weird southern name. Doesn't know that some of his money went. to getting a dog. Some of this money.
I didn't you prove her? Yeah. Payday. loan for dog. But like she said, somebody had broke. into our house. So she wanted she wanted. to make sure that there was something. there to keep company and have like just. awareness cuz the dude was just in They. loaned it. You. I get it. That would scare me too. Get a gun over a dog. But I get it. I mean, people still break in the house.
with dogs cuz most dogs are just they'll. just sit and get I was sitting on the. couch and he just came like behind me. like there was no I can't grab a gun in. that situation. He took my deodorant. It. was a kid that was like sleeping. He. didn't have no time to rob me cuz I. caught him in action. I turned around. and seen him. Did he need it? I don't. know. They said he was sleeping in other. units. The kid was like 16. We pressed. charges and everything. We don't know. what it went to. They said they had to. find a guardian cuz he didn't have. parents, but pretty much I had left for.
work. If you press charges, you haven't. heard anything. Then nothing's happened. But I left for work and then he. apparently got in the back door somehow. without like breaking anything. She woke. up while the baby was still in the room. And very spooky. Very spooky. I get it. Listen, but a lot of dogs, I mean, this. is what happens. Let's just be honest. today, would probably just be like, "Oh, yay. A person to pet me." Yeah. But at. least like you would know someone it. would go to the person like she had no. idea he was just sitting in the third. bedroom for 20 minutes, you know. So we.
took out a payday loan. That is very. scary. I get it. They're telling me you. didn't even leave work when she called. though and said there is someone in my. house with our baby. It took a second. because uh I it wasn't even registering. in my head. There we go. Well, an actual. emotion for once in our life. Yeah, that. that kind of pissed me off cuz I I mean. I called him and said, "The door is open. and there's shoes pointing in and he was. just like, "Yeah, I don't know. Maybe. it's like the homeless dude." What? But.
the door is open. And granted, you this. was a meeting right when I got my. promotion back and I was going to the. meeting trying to, you know. Yeah. And. there was not a single manager. There. was not a single manager that would not. understand. They understood and I left. and I was the one that called. After how. long? cuz it sounds like uh not she. called 2 minutes later when she actually. realized he was in the house and he ran. out and then I called the cops on the. way there. He skipped around my rug like. you've been there. before and he just shushed me like I. turned around and he said shipped around.
my rug gave me a little smile and. shushed me again. links in the description below. Man, he. was justing around. He was honestly just. entertaining himself, was he? Honestly, cuz he didn't steal anything. No. Yeah. Ask for the deal or took the No, he took. it. He just wanted the thrill. Hey, go. ahead. Get some charges against you. Maybe. I don't know. When did this. happen? In January. Middle of January. Okay. But yeah, it does. All right, so that's. a horrible payday loan as I'm sure these. all will be because here we go. We. continue. Yeah, this one's the worst. 779.68% interest rate. What the What are.
we doing with our lives, guys? When did. you take this out? Is it Lucent? I don't. Whatever the name is, I'll be able to. Bearclaw. Bearclaw. Bearclaw. Credit ninja. Bearclaw. All right, I'll I'll have you look at. it. But it says bear might be the Lucent. Uh. yeah, the Lucent cash. So I took this. one out at the same time or similar. time. For what? It was for electricity.
Mhm. Well, we still spent all our dumb. spending. Okay. Yeah. And rent cuz the. credit ninja one as well. We still spent. all our dumb money. Okay. This one's. probably at $1,000 too then cuz it's. basically the same. It was just a $500. little It's insane. You're going to pay. back $2,500 for this one. What the This. one's. $136.33 every other week. Yeah.
If I had no morals, man, I should have. just gone into the payday loan business, let me tell. you. This was delicious. money. $27266. Did you even know what you were signing. up for, man? No. Why? Why didn't you. ask? You didn't even ask. You was just. wait. What did you think was happening? Everything was online. There was no. calls or anything. It was an online. application. Like Google it or GPT it.
like what would be happening grock it. anything. You coulding Chinese blue. whatever it like you can learn about. One of them I knew it was like a 200%. interest and that's okay. We're okay. with that. We accept that. And the other. ones I didn't look into it. I I didn't I wasn't even aware until I. printed those PDFs out and realized how. horrible the interest rate and why the. payments were so high. Have you ever cried? Have I ever cried? Yeah.
Here and there. Yeah. I cried when my. daughter was born. Out of pain or. excitement? Excitement. A little bit of. both. Okay. But do you ever like sad. cry? No, not really. I grew up with like all. brothers, so I'm pretty tough. Like is. it tough or is it I am more the. emotional one. Something. No, I just cuz. you don't seem to experience emotions. I. do experience emotions, but I just I. don't know. I don't cry. I don't like to. cry. Who likes to cry? Crying can be.
good. I mean, yeah. Just take you a nice. relaxing bath. She cry like when she. gets overwhelmed with the baby and stuff. like that, but you know, does cry. There. you go. She still She does still cry. Yeah, that's still crying. She's not. just emotional. Make sure capable. Well, yeah, of course. Of feeling things. Some people don't. Sociopaths maybe. Well, I didn't want to say the word cuz. it comes across a lot stronger cuz you. would think I'm like throwing something. to you. Whereas it's more of a medical.
term, but I'm not diagnosing. Just. asking. Oh, yeah. Let's continue with the 200%. interest rate loan. So, this is the one. you understood the loan. Okay. So, this. is uh Cash Net First Electronic Bank or. Ninja. Oh, no. Credit Ninja. That one. was When did you take this out, my dude? Took that out right when we moved into. our apartment. That was the one I used. Buddy, I don't know when the that is. When did you take this out? It was end. of November. End of November. December. Thanksgiving. I'm guessing this one's.
probably at like 2,500. Yeah. Uh, but. you're going to pay a total for. borrowing 1,400. total back of 4,500. minimum monthly. payment. Was a long episode, isn't it? $226. So, what was this for? First, this. was a very different time cuz we moved. in literally Thanksgiving week. We are. our lease ended. Okay. And our started. Let me ask you guys cuz my fear is with. how you guys are doing things and um you.
know not budgeting and have you guys. ever been close to losing a roof over. your head. this in our last house. What's coming up. in October yet? There youing go. You. almost got evicted. Yeah, that's why I. picked out the first. See, that's. exactly what the I'm talking about here, guys. And then you're just prioritizing. all this just doesn't make sense. Of. course, you've almost been evicted. before 21 and you've almost experienced. an eviction. Come.
on. What are we doing? You have a kid. And by the way, at that time, you at. least knew there was a kid coming. We. did. Well, we didn't know until. literally a month after we moved into. the house, but then two months after the. friend didn't pay his obligation or. stopped living there. Doesn't matter. We've already almost faced eviction. Mhm. Yeah. Come on. I mean, we're. [ __ ] around with our money the way. and now it is raised like we don't know. if we're able to stay in our apartment.
now because he makes too much. Go to. aing twobedroom. Did we not have this. part of the conversation too? We have to. loop. Are we looping? Do we have to go. back? We going back in time. Yeah, but. our debt to income ratio like you have. to make three. You're right. It's Yeah. And that messes up the three times rent. cuz I'm paying so much. You're going to. have to shop around like crazy. You're. going to have to shop around like crazy. That's why we were only able to get an. affordable housing apartment. Well, you're probably But that was before your. race. We're probably going to have to. mom and pop landlord. But honestly, they.
probably won't trust you. Why would. they? They're going to look at your. credit and be like, "Oh, this guy.". What's the rent going to go up to? What. would rent go up to? Or or they just. kick you out? They would. I don't know. It says it auto renews. I have to look. at the lease and see what we would have. to do to renew it or if they reach When. is it up again? October. October. Okay. We have a little bit of time. October. Okay. Okay. Okay. We almost experienced.
eviction. Me. First month's rent payday. loan. You're going to do it again. Hope not. And uh what are the other. options? Where's grandma. grandpa of any side? Both of Yeah, we. all have our family. We have our. families down there. Yeah. Yeah. Do they. work full-time? Yes. How what are the. ages? Mine are in their early 50s. Okay. Mine too. But they work full-time. All. of them. My parents had they knew the. situation we were going through from.
house to apartment. They offered to take. us in if we cuz we literally got. approved 2 days before. We might have to. do a couple days a week. And I know this. is hard, but we might be dropping off. the kiddo at one of the grandparents. house in the evening. And then you're. picking up a job. You're getting back. out there. Unfortunately, I know. It's a. hard situation, but you guys have put. yourself in this situation like this was. what you guys have chosen in this. situation. Okay. Okay. So, that is that the only is that. the rest of the payday loans? Okay. I.
have a. 32.88% interest rate loan of something. that was you that whole loan was used. for the security deposit of the house. that me my friend. Crazy. My friend had said he was going. to have the money to go in and he. didn't. until I took out that line. cuz if I hadn't, we wouldn't have gotten. a house and Yeah. I mean, but in that point in time, we. really didn't need to move into a house.
I know. We couldn't afford it. I just I. don't know. You guys have financed. everything. I just What are we doing? Okay. One main doing it on the. assumption that Andrew was going to be. paying his half and it would have been. at what we're at now. But then also cost. of utilities and everything else. $1,670.61 and monthly payment. $7957. The interest rate is crazy and. this is going to last. forever. You guys had no plan. You were.
just. hoping. You were just hoping. And you. agreed to all these debts that have been. taken out other than the payday loans. Like you guys sat down and talked about. them. No. No, not really. Like whole. conversations? No. No. What the are we. doing here? Not since he was in Cali. Huh? California. What the? No. How are you guys? How are you guys.
going to make it? It's scary. It's. scary. That's a great response. This is. going to be our turnaround. Not with the actions you guys have shown. so far on the yellow brick road. The. producers are calling this guy a. monster. Oh well. I wasn't going to say. it, but one of them are saying that. you're a monster dragging her. down. That's their opinion. Beauty and the Beast. They capable of.
advocating for yourself. You just don't. give a [ __ ] anything. You don't give. a You just let everything happen. We should have had more conversations. It's it's a lack of I we're scared to. communicate about it and this is our. first time really having conversations. about it. And it's uncomfortable, but. it's the uncomfortable conversations we. were supposed to. have. That was the first payday loan I. took out. Great. Okay. When was this?
Right before we got Well, it was during. the eviction situation. I used that so. we didn't get evicted. Buddy, you do not. know how to say when when I ask when. October. Oh my gosh, this is also. [ __ ] recent. Okay, well the balance. now, at least I can see the balance on. this one is. $2,929.84. Can't even see the. interest. It's probably insane. The. minimum minimum monthly 385 or is that.
bi-weekly? Bi-weekly. 385 bi-weekly. Bi-weekly. Whoa. Bi-weekly. Oh, what the Once we clear it. up, like we're going to Once you clear. it up, good luck, though, lady. Yeah. I don't know, man. That's the one I was talking about. Why did you choose not paying the credit. cards over not choosing the payday. loans? Well, I thought the payday loans, they're like taken out of my check. automatically. So, like most of them, I.
can't go and Oh, for can't stop them. You've signed up for those. I can't stop. the I can't even stop the payments on. them. They don't let you miss like skip. a payment or like pay later. None of. that. $770.60 a month is the minimum payment. on that. bull. The are we doing? Good luck. You. guys have put yourself in a perma cycle. It's bad. It's bad. It's rock bottom.
But at the time it was we had the baby. just born. We're trying to move. It was. Let's hear some excuses. Go ahead. You're a professional at that impulsive. Let's ramble it off. Is this all he is. this what he's like every day? Just. excuse excuse excuse. Never [ __ ]. what? Not even a silver chain. You don't even. have a damn chain. You have like a. [ __ ] steel chain. A gold chain. A. silver chain or steel. chaining. That's what I'm dealing with.
a steel chain kind of. guy. Well, good news. You can actually. borrow more on this if you wanted to. Never. Yeah. It's at a 300% interest. rate. Yeah. One of uh um producers said. uh that it was one of the most episodes. they've ever worked on in terms of. finances, ever in the history of this show. It's a.
first for everything, I guess. Not proud of it. See, that's what the. how the deal with that. It's just like. you don't give a I do care. I mean, it's. just we're in it already. It's just now. time to get out of it. Get our plan. How. you're in a vicious cycle that you. cannot get out of and your spending, which we haven't gotten to yet, but we. will, is not allowing you to. Cut. Cut back.
Yeah, maybe you should have done that. Literally, we have a lot though. This. past year, we have lot of force. You. can't spend above your limits anymore. Like, you're just incapable of spending. Like, because you are literally not. allowed to. Like, it's forced. It's not. behavior. You get the money back, you'll. spend it. Get the get the credit limit. raised, you'll spend it. That's what. happened. Discipline. We just need. discipline. Accountability of each. other. Yeah, you guys are saying great.
buzzwords of what you need to do. I wish. you guys would do any of it. Like like. what the is we need a term for this like. an it's an accountability trope that you. guys throw yourselves in. You throw out. the words that you need to say but then. you don't do. anything. It's like now that I'm. realizing the severity that's now. yeah you were the self-appointed head of. the financial household. who should know. not every number down to the cent but at.
least where interest rates stand minimum. payments the overall balance of all the. debts. Oh my Is this really another. [ __ ] debt? Are we seriously going. snap finance? What even is that? I've. never heard of that. That was our couch. What did you buy. the moved into our house? Are you. littleing tit? You littleing tit. What are we doing? We also have a washer and dryer payment.
Remaining amount for maxim maximum. number of renewal periods. Remaining. amount for early biode option. You're. probably not going to do the early. biode, are you? No, it's past 100 days. So, what's the balance on this? Like 300. left. I think it's 554. Last time I checked, I think it was. I'm putting 554 cuz I don't trust you. 50 with a minimum monthly payment of. $9242. And that comes out bi-weekly. How much.
was the damn couch? $1,400. Then why was total paid today? Oh, because of interest. $3,000. Jeez, for. So you got a you you spent $3,000 on the. couch, guys. By the end, $3,500 on a. couch. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Facebook market sounds. real good right now. Is this something that just Guys, I. don't know what to do. What are you. going to do? If you ever do move again, you'll just do this again. I want to.
have learned. anything. Is this budgetable? Let's find. out. I'm so curious. What the [ __ ] even. is this invoice for professional midw? I. for Oh, yeah. That's our fee for cuz we. did it at a midwife. She had a natural. birth and I was only be able to Why? Cuz. that's what I wanted. Sure. and now you. owe a [ __ ] money instead of putting your. kid's future. ahead. I think a doctor can do. okay and your insurance would mostly.
cover it. Your co-ay, you know, deductible, who knows? But she just I. wanted to make sure she had a safe. environment and we had the conversation. with the mother-in-law. Historicals are. Yeah. You know, hospitals are. historically not safe. They're just very loud and bright and. not very welcoming to a brand new baby. I get that. And now we don't regret it. Of course not. I don't you guys regret. any of this which is the problem. Um. because the fact is you guys did this.
which I'm okay with you doing this. You. did this while taking out forward payday. loans and a ton of other you couldn't. afford it. It is easy as that. You guys. chose this and now you owe this. Are you. on a monthly payment? I haven't paid on. that in like 4 months. What was the. minimum? What was the minimum? No, it. was like 200. It was like 175, but I was paying 200. Yeah. 175. But the balance on there is what we. owe. $5,790.72. Is there interest on it?
No. What are we doing, guys? Is this another one or is this the same. statement? That's the same one. It might. if there is interest, but I don't think. there is. I don't think there is for the. first years or something like that. There was two separate accounts. They. were combined. Oh. my. Youing. creatures. Money owed to family.
$740 for what? That was probably around. the eviction time in September, October. where I was asking family members for. money and then $740. Are you paying them. monthly or what's happening? And I pay. uh my biological dad for my car 300 a. month. So that's probably what some of. that is. Well, we'll talk about that in. aing. second. Are you paying your family. monthly? Right now I'm not paying. anything. Do they want you to? They.
haven't. They said whenever I have the. means to. You'll never have the means to. with your spending. Good luck. Money. owed to Cash. App foring Why? That was just a borrow. that I have on Cash App. Oh, is there a. minimum monthly? Um, I think it's like. 20, but it's like what the It's like. just a flat fee, no interest. So, it's. like a $5 fee on the $100. I'm sure. there's Yeah, $5 fee. That's what it is. And then we have.
this stupid little tit of aing car to. our dad. So, is it in his name or your. name? My car. Yeah. Uh, it's in my dad's. name. Okay. So, it's not in your name? No. But I'm putting in the budget. I'm. not putting it on the debt cuz it is not. a debt in your name to [ __ ] But what. is the balance? We're not putting it in. the debt. 6,000. Good. Great. What about. you? What's your car situation, guy? I. drive her car. Yeah, she stays at home. Yeah, right. I think I got a year left.
to pay it off. Checking it out. Here we. go. Her balance is $16. How the How the. are we surviving off of that? Usually. it's under overdraft. Oh my [ __ ] No, guys. No. The immediate overdraft. Theing immediate tit of an overdraft. Me. Don't charge me hundreds of dollars. in overdraft. Yeah, cuz you spending. money you don't have.
You I mean 4 thou $5,000 came in. You. should be able to manage that. And they're overdraft fee. A second. overdraft. fee. Good [ __ ] new parents. Barely in. our 21s. Also, according to Tik Tok, an. infant child, both of you. Oh, but oh. guys. Oh, you won'ting believe. I'm. going toing kill someone. You won't.
believe this. But guess what? Why are we. overdrafted? For a [ __ ] Door Dash. dash pass. [ __ ] end it all. What are. we doing? Zelling out 600 to who? It. might have been to pay back my brother. from when I owed him. I I owed more and. I had paid him back from when he had. helped me with the eviction time before. I took out the payday loans. Oh my. What. was happening during the eviction time? Why did you not have money? Cuz you were. making money. Well, at that time it was.
about 3 months into my demotion and my. hours got cut. So my payin hours were. short. Make it on a monthly basis. during your demotion after my demotion. was like $1,200 a check. Cool. Congratulations. You probably still had. enough money. Even more congratulations. if you actually budgeted. Even extra. congratulations. You would go pick up a. seconding job. Oh jeez. Cash out $300 to what? Probably. the same thing. To the brother or a different family. member? Probably my.
father. Cuz if I was ever short on. electricity or something, he would spend. the money to make sure we get him back. on. And then he goes and spends money at. Chick-fil-A. Oh, but he gets overdraft. to do it. He gets overdraft to spend. money on his work. Oh, you. And then. Roku. We're spending money at Roku. Well, we're getting overdraft. Apple. bill. Apple. Apple bill. Hulu. Think.
we're doing Hulu when we can't afford to. take care of our damn newborn kid. Smoke. shop. Good. Fuel the addictions that. instead of our child's future and the. roof over his head while we're getting. eviction notices and selling out $15. Both of you pull up your damn phones. now. Now. Now. Oh my [ __ ] Getting a fever from. this one. Listen, when you're ready to go back, I'll give you a course career.
certification so you can get Just give. me your phone. Give you a course careers. thing. So you can make some money. Yeah. Give me this. Am I going to find Tinder on his phone? Okay. I hope not. Oh, she's not even. confident at this point. Apple Music. Wait, this is Whose phone.
is this? Mine. Okay. Period. Tracking. You don't need that right now. So, I. don't know why we're paying for that a. ton. Well, it's only once a year. So, I. mean, great. So, cancel before it. renews. Also, doesn't the Apple Health. app do that? Then, Glow Baby Tracker and. Grow. That's to track like feeding. times, amount, sleep, everything for the. baby. development is important. And then. him chronicle bill organizer use our app. that I should have Apple TV plus great.
then he's paying for Gmail probably. storage cuz I ran out of storage was. paying for AI image editor Da Vinci and. to browser. that was it's still taken out for that. is to browser for browser that was. something my brother had used and I it's. just a little at for what? The tour. browser at the time. What do you do on. there? At the time he was buying like. marijuana. And what do you do on there?
I got some marijuana with him. Uhhuh. Cuz you don't care about anything. And he's a grown ass man. What do you. want me to also feel like he's hiding a. little in the tour browser? She's familiar with that. I knew about. that. But I mean, I didn't know I was. paying a subscription for the tour. taking care of you. I'm an independent. You're a kid. You're.
independent. You don't have a job. Shut. the [ __ ] up. I babysit. Yeah. $500 a. month. Good luck living off of that. Hope it goes well. For [ __ ] sake, guys. I don't know what. you're doing. Okay. Any balance? $72 in. savings. We're We're doing so well. $27. in this checking account. Zelano payment. to Cash App. Target for that one. That's $5. No. No.

No, I think that was tacos. I. think that was cheese that night. Oh, you were making apple. Potential bull. from Target and then transferred from. savings cuz we didn't have enough money. Guys, we're not overdrafting on this. one. $45 in this checking account. And.
there's the transfer into the checking. account. No retirement to speak of. Nothing. No savings. Roy, is this one budgetable? I don't. hate you guys, so I'm going to make a. budget, but I don't have a lot of. confidence. Think you guys have. yourselves by not being willing to make. sacrifices in the past. Yeah.

I'll mark your total income as $400 now. $4,000 because you're getting health. insurance. Okay. Co-pays and stuff. though, medications, anything? No. Monthly basis. Co-ay for the kid? No. Okay. Uh 170 now that. we're with T-Mobile. with a new plan cuz we got close. Uh-huh. Anything else that needs to be. on your budget? Um I just.
Yeah, my car is Huh? Just my car. That's all. Yeah, that's. the only thing I can think of that comes. out of my Well, yeah, you guys are. under. Why about a,000, which you wouldn't have been until you. took out the payday loans and you did. not need to take out the payday loans, but you did. $4,938.93 in order to survive. This is. what I owe. you. Three. options. Three options.
Okay, option number one, the one that. builds the discipline that I think is. going to give you a better outcome for. the rest of your life. That is mommy uh. mommy and daddy watch the kiddo for a. couple a few nights of the week and you. go work a second job. We try to bring in. an extra $1,500 in net. So, you're. actually going to be working a lot, a. decent amount in the evenings. Going to. be doing that $500 towards debt. We can. start paying down debt. It's going to. take a long time. with that.
$27,000. It still takes 52 months or. four and a half years. And that is. quicker than these other options for. what it's worth. So four and a half. years. Then you get an emergency fund. We start investing. That's okay. We're. starting in our mid20s. That builds. discipline for the rest of our life cuz. you have to budget in order to be able. to accomplish this, right? Cuz you're. living on your necessities and you're. going crazy for a few years. And it. doesn't matter cuz the kid won't be. forming memories until you're done. anyway. So doesn't even matter. Okay. Okay. Not talking about trauma, but I'm. talking like we have to pay for like. daycare or something cuz like both our.
parents on both sides work full time. That's why you're doing in the evening. They I mean Well, yeah. They get up at. like. 5 hours. Yeah. Okay. Yep. Yeah. That's. what you're doing cuz you want to. survive. Then there's another option, the shorter cut option, and it still. requires you bringing in a few thousand. bucks. Uh but that's bankruptcy. It's. going to [ __ ] your credit. You won't be. getting a home for 10 years. And. honestly, people will ask you if you. declared bankruptcy for the rest of your. life. Uh but it won't be on your credit.
for after like 10 years. But even still, typically a shortcut option because you. don't have to change your behavior to. declare bankruptcy. You can go right. back into debt. And there will be debts. that you can open right after. bankruptcy. I don't advise this option. until you have at minimum at least. changed your behavior. And the best way. to do that is again by proving the. system. And by proving the system, you're out of debt in four and a half. years anyway. So, and then the next. option, don't pay the credit cards, let. them go to collection, but that your. credit for 7 years, good luck ever, you. know, getting a house or anything in.
that time. And again, paying off debt is. 4 and a half years. So, I would rather. do that anyway. Yeah, pick up more. hours. I know that sucks. Put in strain. I get it. Pick up more hours. You work.
