His Lying Is Making Me Mad | Financial Audit
hi I'm AJ I'm 25 from Pearland Texas and. this is financial audit. so what do you do for a living I am a. plumber service plumber very cool what. do you bring in currently uh just. generally it's commission based but. generally around minimum seven eight. hundred dollars net and it could go up. to about 2500 sometimes per week. oh per week I was gonna say if it was. seven eight hundred for the month okay. well what's an average month give me an. average because if things are commission. based there's always up months down. months what do we look like taking those.
Peaks and valleys as an average I'd say. take-home pay is probably going to be. four grand a month okay. minute 25 I think a good amount of. people would be happy with that for. take-home pay that's very good now this. is commission base or uw-2 or contracted. W-2 okay very cool now what is the. commission what are you getting. Commission on so it's uh 17 of uh the. total job uh minus contractors and parts. so is that encouraging you to get people. to spend more money for their Plumbing. uh a little bit but no I don't like.
plumbers this is I mean I've said that. on the show before I mean people will. just want to take a dump without the. water going right up their butt yeah but. it's it's we're we have a system in. place to where we're not taking. advantage of people and what's that. system it's called The Fresh system but. it's basically making sure the customer. is aware of every single option that. they get and we give them what they call. us out here for so if you want to be. aware of every option Lane in front of. you you should be aware of the option of. hitting that subscribe button because.
we're trying to get the 750 000. subscribers thank you everyone who has. subscribed so far I love you so much. okay so I mean this is a good take on. pay this is pretty good now the air what. kind of what kind of size town is that. town you mentioned I don't think I've. heard of it before it's it's pretty much. Houston it's below Houston oh okay it's. pretty big so fifty thousand dollars a. year mostly uh post taxes contribution. and health insurance all that good stuff. uh how do you feel living on that uh. it's pretty good right now. um you know I'm I'm pretty comfortable. with it I used to have this bad.
um I guess expectation of making 100. Grand a year. um net which is very doable as a service. plumber but sure you just have why. aren't you that just takes time I guess. more more practice and and getting how. long have you been doing it uh about six. years seven years now how many years is. it gonna take you're halfway there yeah. um I'm doing I'm on Pace right now to do. like 80 grand this year. um but not yeah sure oh girl sorry gross. gross I'm sorry oh yeah okay but all.
right so what's up dude like I know I. have a lot of debts in front of me I. have a lot of spending in front of me. but what's up what's your financial. situation what are we looking at why are. you here it's definitely damage control. right now. um I cut out all unnecessary expenses. before I came here. um yeah and even you know like three. days before you came here like everyone. else no just you know over over a course. of a month or two. um definitely you know I guess that's. before here but. um definitely cutting back on a lot of. expenses but. um right now it's just.
damage control that's all why are you on. the desk that you're in why do we have. personal loans what do we uh so there. was a lot of debt consolidation. um moving the money around which is not. smart on my part but. um no that can be a useful tool that can. absolutely be a useful tool you just. didn't do it in a good way yeah I you. know I paid off maybe like four or five. grand of it and then I bought stupid. stuff again and just went back right in. what are you buying with us what what's. the stuff you're maxing at your debt for.
dip on on the loan side of things. um. it might have been you know tools and. stuff of that nature but what the. does it does work w2. pay for the tools. are these like it's all hand tools and. like power tools the company doesn't why. is everyone on here who needs to use. tools go into so much debt for tools. it's not all of that but I but I I do. well what's the other stuff uh man I I. don't I can't tell you on the personal. loan side of things um I don't use my.
credit cards for like food and stuff of. that nature. but no instead you overdraft your. checking account for that yes. Chick-fil-A or overdrafting Chick-fil-A. wins is what we've learned yeah sure and. we'll get there. what would you give yourself 0 out of. ten Financial score where are you at I'd. say uh zero being the worst right zero. being the worst time being the best I'd. say probably five being average I'd. probably say like a 2.5. [Music]. interesting well let's find out shall we.
first of all so we have a personal loan. was this a consolidation. uh yes sir well it's at a death 9.99 so. essentially 10 so we have a 10 interest. on a consolidation now consolidation can. be a useful tool when you're in like a. 30 credit card especially you know when. it's uh variable and rates are going up. and everything and okay so it makes. sense consolidate into. ten percent I mean you're never you're. probably not going to beat that with. Average stock market returns of eight. percent so it still absolutely sucks all.
the butts in the world right but is that. better than 30 absolutely. why people are against that and. psychologically what a lot of research. has shown is that when people have ten. thousand dollars of credit card debt and. then they just get that on a personal. loan to consolidate they're like okay. the interest rate's lower so I've made. progress so now I don't know I can let. the foot off the gas and I don't need to. go crazy. guilty guilty and then they also rack up.
that credit card right again because. they haven't changed the overall. behavior of the overall habits stuff. like that would you say that's kind of a. similar boat that you have been in yeah. that it's definitely a discipline issue. and and putting plans into action that's. definitely one of my biggest struggles. when it comes to when you're. stall this that dude. man I'd probably say 21 22. yeah so 14. 437 so 14. 14.
000 37 personal loan I mean that just. has to feel like absolute. because it is it does um I know that was. rolled over from like a 22 loan so yeah. so we've made progress on the interest. rate but still there in general what I. would rather you do for either version. this is paid off as quick as possible. because you're losing you're losing. about 1200 a year in interest on this. thing. yeah this is being sucked from you. that's only that you could be using. making progress investing do you have.
any investments in life that's 25. halfway through the best decade of your. life for compound growth and it's gone. and 1200 is being sucked from you on. just one of the loans right so 14 437. what the what the even is the. minimum entertainment on this thing uh. that is I believe 281. pretty sure. it's weird that it's not on this. statement okay and. 100 62 a month Interest death. death. all right that's number one so again.
this is mostly consolidation of just. stupid spending that you did not need to. do and I bet you got nicer tools than. you needed I bet you got more tools and. stuff that you don't use if you use all. this all the tools you use no sir no of. course not and of the tools that you got. that you do use are there options that. are cheaper of course now yeah. interesting okay now we have a quick. silver card. now one thing that is making me happy. about this is okay we made a little more. than the minimum monthly payment that's. good and we're not spending so I don't. have to go just absolutely crazy on you.
because that is that pisses me off when. people spend on a card that they're. trying to pay off because that's just. trust me there's things that. are gonna make me upset we'll get there. but either way we're at a thousand nine. hundred. 78 cents. so what was this so I assumed this was. originally Consolidated in that personal. loan and then you built it all the way. up again. um man I'm not too sure honestly I I can. probably track the exact what did you. spend this on though dude.
how long have you been nervous about. this debt or 25 when were you like oh. well that's bad yeah I got so I barely. moved out of my parents house about a. year ago okay and um that's fine I. started growing up essentially and it. started hitting me in the in the face of. saying you can't so last year yeah. that's when it hit me in the face okay. yeah. like I as and as in like What's the. progress you've made in a whole year. quite a bit. um you know because this thing isn't. terribly far from his credit limit.
right. um man I can't tell you what what that. purchase was on but. I can only guess maybe Home Depot or. um. bam. I don't know was it another 45.83 in. interest on this. it's just charged this year 138. 8 wait this doesn't make sense interest. charge up forty five dollars yeah this.
just entered its interest rate period or. has the balance gone up this year no it. hasn't gone up but it the minimum. payment and the I've been told that by. another financial advisor that I go to. and he said that minimum payment doesn't. make sense but. yeah it's minimum payment no I'm talking. about just the interest charged Sears. only 183 138 but this past month was 45. so if it was for the full year like we'd. be well beyond 138. hmm. you got me there I don't know have you.
spent money on this card this year no. I could probably pull it up I don't. think I have but. well it's pretty much at 30 rounded out. tisk tisk yeah this one I'm not proud of. this one no you shouldn't because this. one's stupid this one pisses me off this. one doesn't make sense yeah we have an. Amazon Chase Card okay fine lovely zero. dollars to start with okay fine lovely. and clearly you can't pay your cards. because you only did a hundred dollars. on the last one and we have other debts.
as well. 1162 dollars and 39 cents of purchases. why yeah just I go on that bad tangent. and just what's the tangent just. you know get hooked on Amazon and then. just buy dude you're addicted. because it's Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon. Amazon Amazon Amazon Amazon Bezos Bezos. Bezos Bezos bald head Basils so is this. yeah this is insanity 567 what were you. purchasing on this you can't afford this. you have terrible debt why are we.
possibly purchasing this much money and. you do not always make your payments on. this card because we've had 24 hours of. Interest charged this card this gear. alone so you've paid it off and then. you've put money on it so what are you. purchasing what possibly is this I know. the 567 was definitely uh uh insta X3. Pro Camera. why uh starting YouTube but okay listen. listen well listen as someone who. has started a YouTube channel.
you can start it with your phone dude. yeah you can start it with return this. newest iPhone so let me guess this thing. is 4K dude 60 frames a second. the uh I think 120 you can change it to. if I'm not mistaken not sure an. Incredible video quality on there yeah. yeah the story with this phone is that I. switched from Verizon to visible and I. I had to pay this phone off full okay. when I switched so that was 1200 on I. think one of those cards that we're. gonna go through yeah that's I I didn't. read the fine print on that so well. either way use it if you still want.
money on it may as well use it instead. of another stupid camera yeah it's paid. off there's gonna be like a forever. phone here so. um eligible to return through July 28th. there you go so I got three days you do. just start that return process now and. it will it'll do pull up that Amazon now. I need to see these other orders go to. your orders go to this dumb stupid thing. there you go there's some credit that I. had and used it for like delivered today. what is this the phone case we're. looking at no that's that's um it's a. bit for a tool.
yeah you don't have enough tools enough. beds for them tomorrow what is this a. little visor sunshade your car can be. warm I will accept that my car is warm. and I can afford a sun shade you cannot. have a sunshade Brandon filmographer do. you have a sunshade Clara helper do you. have a sunshade producer none of them. have sun shades and they can afford. sunshades you do not need a sunset when. you cannot afford a sunshade add credit. for that but yeah I I get pure credit I. get pure credit you can use it in the.
so you know how to refund things because. here's a refund yeah you got a neck fan. I know dude you're being copped into all. this chicken jerky healthy jerky is. very expensive and then you're probably. going on a rabbit hole just things but. yeah. yeah. I love spoiling my dogs I get it but I'm. sure there's cheaper alternatives just. obviously make sure they're okay. well this is. pied blade cutter and then you have. these other things that go into pipings. then a big old backpack and then.
a bunch of crap on a keychain then lots. of little wire connectors. you need LED garage lights so we're. gonna when I work in attics it's a. bright light that goes to why does this. work not pay for anything. well it's just it's just our tools. cooling breathable sheet did you. absolutely need that was that a. necessity in order to survive right now. would you die if you did not have no. it's okay. a thing to hold up an iPad that guy. returned yeah oh yes I did thank.
goodness. Comfort office chair thing dude I drive. a lot I drive a lot organizer that yeah. I mean I'm not ready. right degree men's Advance okay I'll. give you that because it is hot we don't. want you smelling like death right. underwear don't know what your underwear. situation looks like and I'm not gonna. investigate so I'll allow it. toothpaste we're good with that but do. we need glass these glass meal planning. kits just get cheap plastic ones from.
HEB for like three dollars but a billion. reusable Ice Bowl it's like a thousand. five but yeah yeah it's a lot though. right yeah yeah there's some stuff for. your cameras you got some SDS and all. those converters but guess what you're. returning all that because you're gonna. be using your phone yeah sure lots of. stuff for the Lenovo. lots of stuff so a lot of this was just. spent on this. money clip is your wallet broken is it. done can you not use your wallet.
now. dude you can't pay off debt why are we. getting this crap right I I'm right. there with you I understand there's. cheaper and Justice good versions of the. Greenies Greenies dental bones. and just is good get the ones that are. like half the price all right that's. what I do. yeah. I understand it's oh my gosh it's like. coming here you know I know that it's it. was kind of good didn't you say you cut. back your spending. when was the spending cut back because.
not even possibly right now what kind of. bullets are you laying in front of me. that's you weren't cutting back your. spending no no don't come in here and. look around if we're gonna try to get. out of a situation don't just start. putting lies on the table right no I got. I got you okay so no you did not come. back on spending they said you got. another card or something. I don't see it. uh there's an apple card that that's I. can't pull up a statement for some. reason. all right hold up let's see now I. usually dig into people just so they. know how bad their situation is and so.
the audience knows how bad the situation. is because a lot of people are like this. isn't but it's not great but it's not. bad it's not that bad no it's it's bad. yeah but that is gonna be pissing me off. if you come in here and you start saying. all right cut back on spending then I. look at that Amazon thing and we spent. like 1500 bucks on both stuff you did. not need you're gonna kill me oh. oh and then you throw this out he. didn't even know this was a thing uh. yeah what's this apple cup. oh. I have a white board that I that I look.
at every morning with all my debts and. interest rates if that makes. but I know whatever works for you I. don't know but you were looking at that. whiteboard congratulations you went and. purchased 1162 on the Amazon card so is. that whiteboard really helping it was. before the Whiteboard but yeah. so you got the Whiteboard yesterday no. no I'm saying like that was spent after. the Whiteboard sorry what at the Amazon. stuff was spent after the Whiteboard so. the Whiteboard doesn't make a difference. okay we have an apple card. [Music].
sorry I know I'm getting into you no I. mean I will not accept both no this is. what I expected so yeah I'm trying to be. as open as I can that's good that's good. because we're gonna get you to a better. place by the end and we are you're also. helping a lot of people who will relate. to your situation. but dude I'm not gonna let anyone. 4126 dollars. 14 cents on an Apple card what the. possibly is this uh interest charge 86 a. month Death kill me yeah it's only I'm. what 14th the principal after the.
payment and the interest charge. yeah 100 another monthly payments great. what was that what was this what'd you. even spend this on uh you're still spin. on it at the end oh it was the end of. last month it was almost a full month. ago but you were doing. more Supply Company. plus us something and some Claws and. Paws that. the phone killed me yeah 1200 okay so. what's this phone thing what's the phone.
what's the phone and no that's not what. killed you because you were still with. her three thousand dollars on there. correct so what the f okay so what is. this what is this what's the phone. what's the phone situation so I I was. just paying about almost 180 bucks a. month for Verizon and I needed to switch. to a cheaper carrier yeah I know. um so I went to visible and before. switching I didn't understand like the. the fine print of the phone deal because. I had a paid off iPhone 13 before then. and when I switched to Verizon they said. they'll give me that free oh and then I. got screw it on the back end so.
um. I don't know a visible thing is I I. personally like meant I'm an affiliate. Link in the description below for a good. deal on mint but. maybe visible is good too I personally. don't know them. 35 bucks a month so you can't okay. that's pretty similar. Molly knows phone service is too much. and there's no reason to pay that much. yeah especially I haven't even noticed a. difference honestly so what got you in. the what was the first what was the. three thousand dollars that was on here. uh we can go we can go back further and.
uh check uh a couple months ago we got. some liquor and then 132 dollars on. Chick-fil-A Chick-fil-A is actually. pretty cheap for a good amount of food. how do you possibly spend 132 I think. how they how Apple condenses it it's. like oh how much you spend within a. certain time I think so but I'm not. I actually don't have this card. um. I like Apple products I just don't spend. enough there to fully take advantage. um. yeah amusement park and you just yeah. you're just taquitos you're getting some.
7-Eleven together I saw that like. actually what you were actually doing it. yeah. Supra what the f you must have had this. balance for a very long time because. even going back through this year like I. can't find anything that would have led. up to that much money so you clearly. just we're just not making progress and. you're still putting money on it. it's dumb dude I understand maybe the. vet but all the even the other two. things you did this last month. stupid. and then there's a car debt am I.
correcting that yes sir oh geez okay. what is the car itself it is a 2020. F-150 god dude. there's a whole backstory on this too so. let me guess you. you to look around some tools not at all. this was a very. um. bad decision on both ends so I used to. have a 2011 Audi S5 took it out for. about 18 Grand. it had um eight percent interest rate. and.
um AC went out on it and um I'm getting. there. um but essentially part of the reason. why I sold it was coming for future. repairs I know I wasn't going to be able. to afford it but then second was that I. would abuse the hell out of that car I'd. go 120 150 miles per hour every single. day it's not very safe no no and I. thought I was just gonna kill myself or. kill family so I didn't want someone. else yeah someone else so. um unfortunately I did roll that into. that F-150.
um I wasn't sure about how to go about. the situation. um I did go against my financial. advisors advice about not getting. something Have you ever listened to your. financial advisors advice looking at any. of this I have um you know he's helping. me condense everything but. um I just how can you get any help if. you're not even listening to your. financial advisor's help. I'm it's an it's just another. reiteration from from you so that's. that's I know it's going to be helpful. um but.
um before I got this car or um on the. F-150. they gave me seven or eight I think it. was eight grand for the Audi it was. worth maybe about 10 I think. um so they rolled over about I think. they did roll over 10 into a 30 000 trip. so how did you get a truck uh because. you live in Texas you don't need a truck. 95 of people who drive their big small. trucks around they just they don't.
actually need it yeah it makes no sense. and then it just clogs space that could. be used for pedestrians actually. enjoying life and enjoying the cities. great great. um I I I'm I'm right there with you um. who made you choose it though and when. when was this I know it was this it was. red um I like red a lot but. um I think this was back in. I want to say January February I'm not. too sure exactly I really do like right. because all your finances are in the red. ah yeah that was pretty good okay. um so that that interest rate is a 7.49.
um it's balance 45. about 46 Grand right at 46 Grand Theft I. thought she said it was a 30 000 car it. was 31 they rolled over I believe 11 and. then there's uh extended warranty it's. on there so a 20 000 extended. warranty no no. so it's a 31 000 truck with eleven. thousand dollars from the Audi and then. uh about a three thousand so after the. 11 000 from the Audi was it was a thirty. thousand dollar truck was it a thirty.
thousand dollars truck and then they. took off eleven thousand dollars. okay so the extended warranty was like. fifteen thousand or eleven thousand. something what's the balance out on this. forty six thousand kill me and when did. you get this I want to say like. like three or four months ago not even. that. is it too late to get rid of the. warranty. no it's not I've I've canceled I. actually had warranty on the Audi and I. canceled that and they reimbursed me. cancel this immediately what the yo. why do you possibly just have insurance. on it dude and just.
[Music]. I know this one was gonna be the the. kicker here so. of the car warranties kill me I mean. warranties is how places make money. that's how Best Buy makes their money on. the products they sell and tell them. okay. yeah so they just really got oh and then. I found out it was salesman had a good. payday yeah I found out it was a wrecked. truck after the fact too you didn't do a. title check or anything that that was. one thing that just skimmed over my head.
I asked all the other questions but they. didn't show me the Carfax so remember. that but so what's it gonna be after the. warranty is refunded should be about. I think it's a four grand warranty. something like that what again how to go. from thirty thousand dollars to twenty. thousand dollars because you put in I I. think this this is getting a little. misconstrued sorry so it's it's a 31 000. truck list price my Audi was only worth. eight grand so they tacked that. um away away from them not away from the.
31 no it's oh sorry sorry okay okay I'm. gonna break this down sorry so I owed 18. on the Audi. they paid okay you're getting it now so. you got it for me yeah so yeah it was an. upside down balance on the Audi my bad. [Music]. four thousand dollar thing so it's gonna. be forty two thousand dollars yeah. it's anything mechanical but I mean I. know it's.
you know three four grand should be a. three year warranty I think lovely. any other debts uh. it's. you better not got an Acu loan that's. what we covered not what is this a AC. line no no ACU loan that Associated. Credit Union that was the first one we. went through the 14 000. okay uh we went. through the Apple card we went through. the Capital One. we went through Amazon Chase and then. there's two uh. there's Associated Credit Union card but.
that's a different one yes sir well okay. uh on credit uh just another credit card. Union. credit card yeah same one with the loan. how much is on there that is 6200 even. oh yeah no. bloody that's so much what's your. minimal monthly payment there 186. what's your minimum depending on the car. uh. I don't want to tell you this but it's 8. 11. what's the term length uh I want to.
save. five or six years. okay and what's the interest rate on. this Credit Union card uh 12.49. are you making have you have you. purchased anything on there this year on. that card no sir good lad good lad okay. and there's from the shots of it there's. another yeah there's uh one it's a. revolving credit loan I guess it's. through Woodforest uh that bank there. and that's at a should be a battle. balance now of about like 2200.
um that's at a 16 nine. well uh it's a 16.9 yes and it's at 1.2. 2200 yeah what's the matter monthly. payment uh 111. okay you gone into this. and you're still doing the spending and. you're still doing the things and you. know. I all that stuff is on you personal. responsibility but you also just you. have my sympathy man because this is. this is gonna be hard to get out of it's. gonna be very yeah it should be it.
really should be and a lot of that to be. scary to you out there if you've. considered. you're you're not a credit card person. no sir not at all no have you chopped. these up yet no but I chop them up close. the accounts and if you need to get a. card about the things. to take advantage from credit. use the Fizz card because it acts like a. debit card so the moment you swipe it. it's immediately paid off from your. checking account okay paid affiliate. Link in the description below but I like. them because of people like you who. clearly like credit cards but are.
clearly not a credit card person yeah. definitely learned that in the past year. so yeah yeah dude because this is this. is. this is absolutely and you moved out. yeah damn I wish you were at home we'd. have so much more income to so play with. and that's something that we're we're. talking about my lease is up in November. good lad. um I can't my parents already said I. can't move back in with them 10. so yeah. um it'll be about four or five hundred. bucks a month in rent but to them yeah. uh maybe I mean I have you had a.
conversation well I mean that's my if. that's what they decide that's fine if. you had a conversation with them like yo. I up my life is like basically. done financially speaking I'm never. gonna be able to retire I'm gonna die on. the Walmart floor can I have a. flexibility for a year so I can just. tackle all this and then live life I'm. sure without being dependent on you yeah. so that's a conversation worth having. now this is gonna this is what actually. this the Amazon card pissed me off now. this is dude this is stupid and this was. just last month so don't tell me you've. cut back on stuff the food is definitely. the. you have so you have addicted Tendencies.
similar as opposed to what I have when. it comes to eating out I think in fast. food that's stuff you know I've kind of. worked on like you know I can fit eating. out uh within my budget in a comfortable. way if I do it smartly but even still. when I want to do that man the greasy. fatty sweet stuff it calls my name and. it the dad Bob is lured towards us right. there so I get that. is this also a cope just for all the. extra stress just I would say yes.
um and then also me being a plumber I'm. on the road every single day and it it's. so tempting and it's not an excuse not. to pack the lunch like I have done meal. prepping in the past. um sticking trying to stick to it again. now but it's definitely very just easy. to pull up through a drive-through it is. it's hard to get on that routine but. once you get on that routine it'll be. better it'll take a few weeks for it to. feel more natural versus the the plug-in. thing it makes sense the. easy tag in the Texas tolls because.
you're driving all the time oh that. that's that's. um our company pays for all this good I. was just gonna say I was gonna be upset. they didn't you started with 173 that's. really low to have a checking account. yeah makes me nervous and then we're. doing Chick-fil-A a brewing thing. Raising Cane's got his pizza Sonic drive. through Whataburger McDonald's. McDonald's Chick-fil-A Sonic selling out. 500 who knows where that went Sonic. Drive-In Wing Stops Michael stores some. Academy Sports and Little Caesars. Kolache Factory McDonald's Texas Pride.
card wash yeah you really need to have. your car washed instead of paying off. that because that makes sense I canceled. that so good and uh fetch.com is that a. dog thing fetching yeah that's pet. insurance I canceled that as well oh. well pet insurance I'm not against pet. insurance pet insurance is saved me. thousands of dollars these past few. years so yeah she had heartworms but it. got denied. um because I didn't know about a. three-month policy so that that oh that. should have been on one of the cards I. think it was like 1300 for heartworm. treatment cheers I'm sorry.
MLS corner store we got some taquitos. and some Taco Bell and we're selling out. 350 you know so that went Wendy's Sonic. drive-through Kolache Factory. Chick-fil-A and some taquitos and Sonic. Drive-In Jack in the Box Panera. Chick-fil-A Wingstop Panera Goodwill. finds Boyd's Seafood peacock TV I mean. come on that's kind of that's like this. like TV service there is no Paramount's. worse join therealworld.com for fifty. dollars and pearl land invisible Lone.
Tree company Apple bills and barber shop. and cash app and out money who knows. where that went it's a hundred dollars. and it's gone we're getting some. taquitos and Chick-fil-A and Wingstop. Pronto Mini Mart got some taquitos there. and selling out 300 who knows where that. went Panera Bread Amazon tacos and cash. app and not a hundred dollars who knows. what a flat one at McDonald's and. Spotify I will kind of allow Spotify. because they're driving so that's okay.
Chick-fil-A pearl land Parkway. Chick-fil-A Chipotle Apple Bill. Whataburger dude you're eating just. because it's not nothing. healthy nope not at all and you've over. good this this year you have overdrafted. already so again you are choosing fast. food not only over paying debt but you. are choosing fast food over having money. in your checking account you're like. guess what I don't have money but. Chick-fil-A is more important taquitos. are more important I I think I have a a.
answer to the uh the overdrafting in. there because I've gone negative but. essentially how my payroll works is that. I put my check directly into my savings. that way it kind of helps me like that. explains what we're about to look at it. helps me understand like or helps me. maintain the discipline to pay you know. the the debts that I have instead of. just having it on the card and just. swipe so I swipe so. um that explains some of the. overdrafting I guess. but I just do I plan better put it in.
your checking account I don't give a sh. there's no excuse not to overdraft right. crafting and we're eating out three. times a day two times a day whatever it. is there is no excuse regardless of the. situation I've tallied it up one month. and I think it was like 750 bucks one. month for out for food gas station. yeah yep we have it at 743 yep there you. go 743 on just the fast food restaurants. the one with the taquitos and everything. a thousand dollars both spending yeah a.
thousand fifteen dollars thousand. fifteen dollars thousand fifteen dollars. that could have gone to paying down this. debt and getting out of this situation. quicker so you could actually live the. rest of your life yeah now here in your. savings we started with 720 but you. ended with negative 6.77 negative. 6.77. negative in your savings what's the. point of view inheritance savings. because if you paid two dollars three. dollar fee four dollar fee three dollar. fee you're getting just even having this. what's the point and even if you did. have savings you're only getting point.
zero eight percent on this anyway may as. well use the sulfide one that I use Link. in the description below because there's. four point four percent interest but. even still it doesn't even matter. because you have a negative balance what. is the point of this possibly what. possibly is the point of this I I really. don't know I just know that the payment. my direct deposit goes into the savings. and then I transfer it as not many. answers I love I hate more than I don't. know that's not an answer why why do you. have this plus an additional uh six. dollar fee even plus an additional five.
dollar fee yeah all those are mainly. like transfer fees I think yes yourself. having this yeah which is why haven't. you laziness. no I I thought I thought it was a good. idea to put it directly into the savings. but that's but you've seen the fees and. stuff so why haven't you fixed it it'll. get done today so but why haven't you. previously. can't I mean I'm trying to I'm trying to. understand laziness. just not knowing so ignorance to the. fact of those of this can you sorry.
you're talking about just like the fees. or like I'm trying to understand having. the direct deposit go into checking. account and just leaving whatever the. minimum balance is necessary in the. savings if you're even gonna have a. savings account to begin with I got you. okay no yeah I just haven't done it so. laziness yeah laziness yeah. it used to go to my checking beforehand. but oh I switched it to what this is. yeah. and then also um there's something that. I didn't mention on that so I did have.
there's no more debt but there is that I. did have a 401k. um from my previous employer like five. six years yeah and um it was at I want. to say 20 20K 20 000 and I dude great. position in your early 20s yeah and it's. gone so no yeah. I like don't have any more energy in me. to even like be upset at that you've. drained all my upsetness I'm just like. devastated at this point for you you've.
just. put that. would you put when I when did you pull. it out I think that might have been last. middle last year I'd done the math and. that would have even if I didn't touch. it it'd probably be like 300 and. something okay yeah we're doing a math. so I didn't have my financial advisor. back then but um I did tell them about. it I can't I can't do that you just ask. anyone and yeah no it was definitely a. bad move. um I think it was for debt consolidation. as well but I did pay like three or four.
grand of fees on it and then I also had. to pay the ARs ARS IRS last year about. three grand before taking it out. getting into 65. average return of the. stock market eight percent that would. have been worth 469. 000 you literally just lost 469 000 and. if it was just the s p fault the s p you. lost 995. 000 with dividends reinvested you lost a.
million dollars yeah. to do what what'd you do with the money. that you pulled out Jack so a million. dollars is gone yeah. and now you have just a fully negative. net worth our calculations on the debt. didn't add up because uh we had you know. we didn't have all the debt so let's. figure out how much your death is I got. it right here everything that you need. so uh with the balances that I have. exactly the same uh similarly yeah. seventy two thousand.
twenty five dollars ninety two cents for. my statements. your net worth is negative seventy two. thousand dollars yep there's a little. bit of equity in the car. not much it's probably like sixty two. thousand dollars negative net worth. maybe fifty two thousand I don't know. that is not even close to where we want. to be now minimum monthly payments this. is what's gonna yeah a truck of. stupidity yep. okay. I'm at 16 for some reason but I don't.
well those might be the payments you are. making versus what are the minimum. required right because again on a couple. of credit cards you pay a little more. just double check my math unless there's. a debt I don't know about but I am. seeing 1335. [Music]. that's life ruining yeah. subscriptions you have like 16 16 were. definitely you cut you ended the stupid.
uh peacock and I'll allow you to keep. the Spotify just because you drive so. much cool because no situation is one. size fits all I don't want you to just. be dying while you're in the car. because they actually make okay money. and that money has the ability to go. even further up yep. you know there's these past two weeks um. each check is going to be about two. grand so it's I just it varies so much. but I don't count on it I try to count. on a thousand dollars a week minimum.
so. well to rent. rent is 13 20. yeah it's what have you done it's. funny you just decided this is. completely yourself in every way oh. my goodness. oh geez I don't know what to do but just. laugh this is pain that's pain yeah debt. minimum monthly payments we have.
1335 what is your car insurance uh 270. it's going to go down this year. hope so yeah hope so what is the how. much do you spend on gas a month. um so my company actually lets me drive. their vehicle. um so the car just that yeah and that's. what I'm trying to understand what to do. with this truck because it's it's oh. we'll talk about that then because dude. do you have the vehicle at your house. both yeah oh.
so I I maybe no I know oh you can't go. drive the company vehicle to do I'll do. the do these extra things I don't I mean. I don't go out much you know. everything's within walking distance. biking distance I'd rather you walking. distance biking this is perfect I'd. rather you know take a couple Ubers a. month unpair this truck as well. I'm only nine minutes away from work so. so how much do you spend on gas how much. do you spend I'd say 50 bucks a month. not even that stupid yeah he has a. stupid truck and he's. okay okay groceries.
trying to get on that anniversary life. um I'd say I I went to the grocery store. yesterday 80 bucks should last maybe a. week or two I'm giving you 300 all right. toilet paper keeping yourself alive all. this stuff and needed to survive 100. Spotify ten dollars. eleven dollars probably all right yeah. those are fees or whatever right. there's a gym for 40. yeah I'm down for that that makes sense.
and what was the phone what's your phone. bill uh 35. utilities gas electric internet uh 110. all together uh internet with Internet. it's gonna be wow 145. terrible. any other minimum expenses in your life. right now. that's it. am I like 3 400 I think so what was the.
car insurance uh 270 okay that's a seven. minimum for you to survive. is. three thousand six hundred six dollars. on a relatively tight budget yeah three. thousand six hundred six dollars which. means. your needs category is 90 of your income. in order for you to survive ninety. percent of your income goes to your. basic survival when's the release of. November yeah you're living with your.
family I don't give a you are. living with your family cool it's not. even a question at this point even if. you owe them a little bit of money it's. nothing better you're 13 20 plus. utilities yeah. and then maybe the grocery situation. will be easier maybe you can just chip. into a pile yeah for the household. this is. there's another another thing I wanted. to run by you on the on the living. situation is. I already talked to my financial advisor. I'm not going to do it but just I want. to hear your input on it car no no uh.
living in a travel trailer. um. live at home live at home cool you'll. live in a home stop all right. honestly not much can totally be done on. your average month because yes on the. months where you make more money you can. put more towards it but then there's. months where you're going to make a. little less money right depending on. things and then what do you do you're. just completely underwater so yeah we're. gonna need to have like a couple month. emergency fund before we can even do. anything yeah.
[Music]. what's your car what's your what's this. thing. 2020 uh Ford F-150. uh supercab XLT. or XL it might be the XL. when it got wrecked they upgraded to XLT. I don't know how but that's what. happened I want to take a brief moment. to thank today's sponsor course careers. if you want to start a high paying. career in the Technologies industry but. you don't have the experience or the.

College Dropout working in retail to. making a hundred and forty thousand. dollars just six months after completing. course careers so go to. coursecareers.com which is linked in the. description below to sign up for the. free introduction course well you'll. learn exactly how you can start a high. paying technology career without a. degree or previous experience and make. sure to use the code Hammer 50 to get. fifty dollars off on the full course and. all of this is linked in the description. below thank you again to course careers.
for sponsoring this episode. that's everything's. because then I'd have to take out a. personal loan or something like that. right what's your credit score it should. be like a seven. hundred sorry no I assumed not a seventh. I don't think that's like literally. possible. yeah you probably get like 25 to 30. private sale.
and that was one that was the one thing. that was confusing me with the Audi. because I wanted to go that route and. and sell it for maybe 10 or 11 and then. try to get a personal loan but I just. didn't I think you can get a personal. 700 but you're debt to income yeah. that's the issue okay so if. this is what I'm gonna do this is what I. would do personally and I only do what I. would do okay. let's see if I can get a personal loan. to cover that difference first you're. going to get rid of the stupid warranty.
okay get a refund for that immediately. right death stupid unnecessary sometimes. I've heard it on the on the warranties. they'll actually send you a check. instead of taking it off the balance so. they that's what happened with Audi is. that okay that's fine if they do then. that's what they do. and just put it towards it immediately. but we're gonna see me put it towards it. 42 000 hours okay 42 000 is left. I'm gonna say you can sell it for. 29 huh 29 maybe I don't know that's kind.
of on the higher end of what I saw I. think it's gonna be 25 to 30. I'm gonna. say 2 700. or 27. 500. yeah. I mean you need to it's even qualify for. fifteen thousand dollar personal loan. okay. see if you get approved for it and if. you do. if you do. well this is step one I mean you're. doing that to like today okay uh then. all of a sudden 14 500 is owed and. you're completely paying off the truck.
completely the 811 minimum monthly. payments gone is your minimum monthly. yeah the insurance is gone which is. going to be incredible yep so okay and. your minimum amounts of time in I was. gonna be like. 250 or something like that. which yes isn't is the worst interest. rate was 7.49 both depreciation and. everything it's actually pretty. comparable. okay. so now our minimum monthly payments are.
a little different our new debt mineral. monthly payments is 7.74. wow and your. budget in order to survive no more car. insurance no more old debt mineral. monthly payment. and a new minimum monthly payment for. the debt of 774. rings for you to. survive 2775. even replacing that with. another debt dude your minimum monthly. payments almost a thousand dollars left. in order to survive your minimum monthly. expenses to survive is a thousand. dollars less we went from 90 of your.
income going to surviving. to 70 percent. that's a big change 70 is absolutely. disgusting but it's not even close to 90. percent well I mean okay that's. exaggeration it's a little close but. it's much better than. it's better than 90 percent. so with this we have some wiggle room. and then especially in a year's time. frame of you know living with my parents. you know the bare minimum a year yeah we. still got like a little more than a. quarter to go before you get there so.
there's gonna be some struggles so. really. what I need you to do until you move in. really actually because the income. uh fluctuate so much so how many how. many months until November oh man July. what are we in July yeah so five months. right at five months yeah. oh four months save up a two-month. emergency fund okay so you have about a. little over five thousand dollars in. there in two months because you're. following this budget and you're not. spending any money outside of it and if. you're having fun it's free fun or.
someone else is paying for it. uh so and then that first month you'll. throw a thousand two hundred twenty five. towards the Chase card and Chase card is. paid off okay so by the time you move in. you have a two-month emergency fund your. Chase card is paid off now what you need. to survive you know I'm just gonna still. keep the groceries and toilet paper the. same okay put your rent's gone. and your utilities are gone. do you think you're gonna have to pay to. live there well we haven't had a full. sit-down conversation it was a text.
conversation you know them what do you. think that they're not gonna I think. they're gonna understand my situation. and I'm getting rid of rent and. utilities completely now in order to. survive 1 310 massive change massive. change we're making progress. and your needs are now 32 percent of. your income 33 of your income we've gone. from 90 to 33 you're well you're well. below the fifty percent of your income. that you go to needs so this is great. also on four thousand dollars.
minus one three one zero you now have an. extra two thousand six hundred and. ninety dollars to throw out the debt and. clean up your life so we're five months. in we have one card done and we have a. two-month emergency fund because your. income's a little more. and you're talking about doing uh. minimum monthly payments on everything. everything while you're doing that and. that's baked in your budget all right. it's baked in your budget. so month number. we completed month number five month. number six you're completely paid off.
the Quicksilver card. and you put essentially probably an. additional one thousand towards the. Woodforest personal loan okay and then. the month after that you put the other. thousand towards Woodforest personal. loan and it's gone 1200 or so and you. put the extra one thousand. three hundred and this will go actually. a little quicker because your minimum. monthly payments will start going. towards putting towards all this extra. stuff right you put your extra. 1400 in month number seven towards.
looks like the Apple card because we're. snowballing this thing it makes no sense. with what you have yeah. one thousand. and then that'll take an additional. probably a month and a half to pay off. so that was number seven of the monthly. rate so we're let's say we're. we're months into this whole process. just for a little in case whatever. happens 10 months into the process. woodforce has gone Apple's gone Chase. Amazon's gone and no more spending on.
that card quicksilver's gone now we have. about. we have a credit union card of six. thousand two hundred so now we're going. to pay that off we probably have an. extra like three thousand dollars left a. month six thousand two hundred dollars. there it's gonna take about two months. I'd say so we're a full year in Credit. Union card is gone as well now all we. have left are the two personal loans and. they're sitting at about the same. that's a rough thirty thousand dollars. you got to pay off now divide that by. probably probably three thousand two.
hundred dollars you have left now. it's gonna take about nine months so a. year nine months Roundup year 10 months. yeah and then you need to save up a full. year emergency fund so it's probably a. year and a half uh or sorry uh it's. probably two and a half years so you're. gonna be living at home for two and a. half more years. two and a half more years school that. you'll be 20 27 28 27 28 but then you. have you have no debt you have a fully. funded emergency fund your life is. completely different completely changed.
you're never gonna open another credit. card again if you do it's the Fizz thing. but you're never going to open up. another credit card again. and at this point. dude. your base level is set you have a couple. years left of your 20s but mostly at. this point you're doing 50 30 20. you. can go get rent again and because you. have no minimum monthly payments on. debts you have a little more room to. actually be able to put rent in whatever. your rent groceries utilities car. insurance at that time you know maybe if. you end up getting another car at some.
point like a five thousand ten thousand. dollar on car on cash whatever all your. bills to should never be more than 50 of. your income but at minimum at this point. because you're going to be playing catch. up entering your 30s with zero dollars. in retirement you're going to be putting. 25 of your income minimum 25 post taxes. uh towards investing yep and and then. the other 25 you can finally have fun. again in two and a half years you can. pay for your own phone you can still. have fun free fun there's lots of refund. to be had hang with friends go on walks.
go to the parks do whatever and other. people can pay for things as well go on. some dates and finesse yourself into. some free foods cool get your Tinder. game up. uh hopefully it's better than my hinge. premium extra plus super. great deal that I have where I'm very. single but either way I can get some. yeah just just just you can't spend. money on both for two and a half years. if you're going down the path you're. going down you're not you're still going. to be in almost the same debts and. probably even more depth for another 15.
years yes by the time you even start. making progress your minimum monthly. payments and just this is gonna be. Insanity you don't have the money to. your your needs your needs your needs. without you even spending your fast food. is 90 and then after your fast food you. spend a hundred these with all the BS. and everything combined you spend like. 130 of your income on a monthly basis. right now 130 of your income that's why. you're just going further into debt it. doesn't make sense the Amazon purchases. and all that it's crap.
so just it's time to finally grow up. financially speaking discipline yourself. keep yourself on a strict budget for. just a little while move back home do. the two-month emergency fund sell the. car take out the personal loan pay off. all the debts smallest to largest and. save up the full six month emergency. fund you can move back out and then. you'll go 50 on needs 25 are investing. 25 on fun then your life is good and you. probably retire a multi-millionaire now. make as much money as you can. how many hours a week are you working.
right now uh it's only 35. okay you go. get a second job I thought about that. second job no more thinking you're doing. all right second job is a must you can. cut this from two and a half years two. years maybe even a year and a half if. you go crazy if you bring in a lot more. money hustle hustle hustle because your. life is worth it your life is worth it. you are worth it your existence is worth. actually living but right now you're not. living you're barely even surviving I. wouldn't even call this survival you're. drowning yeah so do it for yourself a. temporary sacrifice for the remaining.
Decades of your life is worth it I. promise I sacrifice for a bit to get out. of all my stupid mistakes in the past. and when you come in the future I'm not. going to judge you for what you've done. here. I'm going to congratulate you for where. you are now because what this show is. all about this show is about personal. growth you're in this bad spot now I was. in this bad spot you know a decade and a. little less ago honestly a lot of people. would probably consider me a piece of. back then too we all go through. different personal growth stages and. that well that's why life isn't very.
long but it's long enough for us to make. mistakes learn and grow and that's. that's what this is about so. this is what you've done let this be. what you've done permanently make the. rest of your life better grow from this. learning mistake that you've made and. live an amazing life and we will not. judge you for this in the present but. that's actually if you fix it if you. continue down this road then you're not. making growth and there's no point for. sure. it's definitely definitely um just.
another reiteration of just stay. disciplined and you know kind of. motivates me a little more to. fix it and it's. like you said I'm drowning and it's not. I don't like being underwater so well. make mistakes no one's perfect learn. from your past grow as a person become a. better person this includes your. personal finances do you have any final. thoughts. uh. no I just. yeah I think that's I think that's it so. thank you all right for AJ it's going to.
be a long tough road I hope he gets. another job I hope he cuts back I hope. he moves in with the family I hope he. gets rid of that truck but he thought he. was a 2.5 out of 10 for his score for. his hammer Financial score from my. opinion spending within her budget come. on all that Amazon spending ranking of. debt when he already has enough debt and. he can't even barely pay the minimal. monthly payments and all the fast food. spending a thousand dollars come on zero. out of ten debt it's like as bad as it. can get zero out of ten retirement. nothing so out of ten he drained it all. emergency fund there's nothing in. savings there are ten it's actually.
negative money and savings right now. real estate not even part of the. conversation zero out of ten right now. AJ is at a zero out of ten but two and a. half years he could be at like a 5 out. out of 10 which would be awesome but. that requires temporary sacrifice now. for an amazing future check out all the. resources I've Linked In the description. below they are resources that I either. use or would use and I have some paid. affiliate links there like putting five. dollars into acorns and you get a free. five dollars they're signing up first so. far checking to save and get bonuses all. the way up to 250 and get interest on. your money in the high yield Savings of.
4.4 at the time of making this video is. absolutely incredible and I use that as. well don't forget to follow my Instagram. and Twitter thanks.
