Gold Digger Keeps Destroying This Mans Life | Financial Audit
how many times you guys break up twice. twice why you guys always breaking up. finances might have been a part is that. true we both cheated on each. other who the cheated first or was this. a and then you Revenge cheated yeah um. people were having with two people at. one time without commitment to either. one download my new simpler budget app. today and take control of your money. once and for. all hi my name is Cara I'm 30 years old. and I'm Brian I'm 32 years old we're.
from Detroit Michigan and this is. financial. audit oh I am glad I escaped my homeland. Michigan to can not be suffering every. single day in Gray and sadness and. depression okay well welcome down it's. not like it's very happy today anyway. here so whatever it's warmer here than. it is what do you guys do for a living. up in sad. Zone uh I do Corporate Safety for a. construction company okay what is what.
are you going around punching [ __ ]. that walk up or with cyber security no. I'm I'm the [ __ ] that yells at people. for not being safe oh interesting what. are you what are you making with that uh. 60,000 not bad Detroit's not expensive. at all you buy a mega mansion for a. penny what about you um I actually just. got licensed uh for Vette Tech o okay. and that is some hard work vettech. doesn't always make the most what what. are you going to be making or what do. you make now you just got Li do you not.
make anything now are you not working no. so I actually started working again I. was a stay-at home mom during school and. stuff um but uh oh children ages um. she's 10 just okay but so I just got. licensed in December CU I just passed my. test congratulations which I get a raise. so I just got it up to $20 which is not. a lot well from Detroit where everything. yeah yeah yeah but still um lifestyle. wise and debt wise uh it's not the. greatest way actually I'm asking for a.
raise when I get back very under you. just got a raise and you're asking a. raise well is that not going to be like. just a little weird or they going to. think you don't have the best intentions. they going be nervous you're leaving. okay like very like we have five. employees and one of them is like the. hospital manager yeah they're how's the. revenue for the oh they're great they're. doing great okay so what are you going. to be asking for a raise two or just may. I please have raise no no um 23 I'll. take 22.
if I have to but you have to do you. think they'll give it you said you just. got a raise yeah it was part of like. when I signed like um when I got hired. there rules once you get licensed you. can get 20 okay um what were you making. before 18 okay so what do you bring home. net now um a month about 2,200 and you. uh like 3,200 a month all right so in. the Detroit area not necessarily bad. again it's just just a little further.
there compared to most big cities I know. the uh there's kind of that one nice. area in the downtown area and like the. where the stadiums and stuff are it can. be a little more expensive there or if. you're in the Deep BS it can be. expensive again yeah we're not in any of. those nice are so you're in theth. Detroit yeah yeah okay so how we doing. $64,000 a month n 6,400 sorry 64,000 how. we feeling um I feel okay and actually. that's a little bit of a lowball um I. coach soccer as well so it's a little.
bit more what you make coaching soccer. not aot uh I coach both High School boys. and girls and I coach Youth Travel okay. what do what what's extra a month I mean. I assume it's seasonal like about a. thousand maybe 12200 a month it's not. seasonal it's year owns really yeah. extra, a month yeah net yeah so. 7,400 what's going on here today guys. what are we oh what are we looking at uh.
I think it was more or less when uh car. wasn't working it got a little bit out. of hand um which was for how long again. cuz you said stay home mom that usually. means quite about a while so we've been. together for 13 years so it has been a. roller coaster for the first portion um. how long were you not working I'd say. about a year year and a half but I was. uh when a year and year and a half have.
when uh a year ago why did you end up. becoming stay-at home mom when she was. already in grade school I'm a little. confused why did we start stay-at-home. mom at 9: it's usually just well I mean. you guys can if you want to I Don't Give. A Fu but that's not usually traditional. age of the kid when stay at home mom and. starts um I think Choice uh actually it. is something that we agreed upon um I. did you agree you did reluctantly yes it. was agreed upon because I wanted to.
focus on school and actually it might. have been closer to co so you weren't a. stay-at home mom you were schooling you. being a student yeah but I still was at. home during Co for you want her to do. that I mean I'm a year ago Co was I know. I mean like U that's when it kind of. started so I stayed home for Co for her. and for me because I had to. so it's been four years then cuz Co was. 2020 so you are unemployed for four. years she went back to work uh about a.
year year and a half ago I don't know. guys this is so confusing well we need. to know I'm just trying to get trying to. establish your lore so I can just. understand what's happening here but. also how were you how when were you out. of work and for how long like actually I. think she was out of work 2020 to. 2022. yeah that sounds about good that lines. up more with the pandemic okay so you're. saying this problem stem from that I.
mean I know you guys were getting uh I. mean you guys got I mean you stemmed it. up a little you got some stemmi you also. to check credit helps a little but. Detroit also just being cheaper and you. don't have a insignificant income the. area I mean where we live now the taxes. are pretty high but I what what taxes. are you talking about taxes in Texas are. higher if it's just the property tax and. sales taxes alone sales tax in Michigan. are 6% not sales tax property tax we. live in a city that had a huge water.
issue um maybe 10 years ago and it's. still being paid by taxpayers but I mean. that doesn't really equate to where. we're at and our stimulus went away. pretty quickly well yeah I know but you. again you were unemployed during the. time when that happened you know you're. were staying at home during that time we. use it to buy a house and to buy. furniture not to sustain yourself you. put it to buy a house how expensive is. your house cuz again in the Detroit area. it's a little cheaper.
no our house is wasn't expensive we paid. 185 for it how is it that's nice a try. level 1600. ft like I said the tax is being higher. it doesn't doesn't make sense to where. we're at financially and I what do you. mean even if the property tax rate is. higher which I'm by the way looking for. at a house under. $250,000 what are you talking about like. what how much is being sucked away from. you what like I don't know what you mean.
didn't it go up since we last bought it. well our home insurance has gone up but. taxes how much this can't be this can't. be what's making or breaking home owners. insurance is insane it's 3600 a year so. within like the last year we had a flood. claim in our basement and it was a. relatively small claim but it made our. uh our home Lo Insurance go from 1,600 a. year to 3600 a year okay so 3600 and and. trust me that's not insignificant money. but we're talking actually three we're.
talking $300 a month total that wouldn't. be make break for someone in your guys'. position I really don't get it I feel. like the and then the property tax rate. again even if the rate is high which I. don't know yet because all these all the. search engines are down right. now uh what's your property tax bill how. about that like 4,000 a year okay so. it's which. sucks so right but I mean 600 bucks a. month an extra 600 bucks a month you. know if we're talking it doesn't made up. yeah well I just that is money it is not.
insignificant. money I am just thinking for your income. scale where you are in a lower cost of. living area and it's not like it's cheap. for everyone I get it but you're in a. relatively decent position how would. that be the makeer break for our life I. feel like that is not the actual answer. to our question I think it is the answer. to the question that you guys have been. cop telling yourself so what the is. actually going on um so there was a. while where I would just like ask him. for money for Stuff obviously being the.
stay-at home mom I was the taxi driver. and he likes to keep me from getting. stress so he would say as long as our. savings isn't under I don't know like. 10,000 we're fine and once we get to. that point I'll let you know when we. have to worry or start cutting back so I. would ask for money and most of the time. I got it and also I have years of debt. from when we would um not be together. and I had to scr up money for myself so.
most of that debt is mine scr up why. aren't we we we have broken up in the. past and during that time and during the. marriage well we're not married yeah. we're not legally married no you're not. married we're not legally not legally. married but we wear rings and we like. say that we are 13 years the you're not. married we just haven't had a wedding. why but you can courthouse and you can. get tax bennies what are we doing I. don't know we were working on oursel we. go to therap yourselves aren't you guys. a couple you have a kid together no like. ourselves together perfect so get. married I don't know what you're talking. about like why are we not married just.
because we haven't had the formality of. doing so it's a courthouse we just don't. care that much about like the paper part. I guess is every what about the. legality um I don't. know I on my side I don't know much. about any of how many times you guys. break up twice twice when uh once like. three years ago and the other time seven. yeah and when the kid was seven and once. when the when uh daughter was very young.
like one why are you guys always. breaking up I don't know cuz we're we. were young why are you guys breaking up. finances might have been a part for some. of it and then is that true yeah that's. part of it yeah okay who's why when what. where cuz uh yeah that's a leading cause. for divorce not that you guys can get. divorced but in this country you're. right by the way Detroit like leads with. property taxes you're 100% right but of. course the median property value in. Detroit is substantially under so it. offsets a little but understand it. definitely hurts seeing that percentage.
being added because the percentage is. high either way $300 a month is not make. a break for your life I I I think I. think that's true I think it's a bit of. us kind A coping coping skill where we. like to hide our uh our uh Financial. insecurities tell me about these. breakups that constantly happen because. if we're navigating the situation we're. trying to get you to a place where you. guys are going to be together forever. and hit these goals I need to know a. little bit of this backstory I don't. know if you guys need to start from the. beginning or what the if we start from. tell me what the is going on we had our.
kid really young we made stupid mistakes. and and it what mistakes it's like we. didn't commit very well and you guys. haven't committed once you're not. married the first time we broke up we. both cheated on each other the second. time it was more financial. based you're. cheaters were were are you did we did we. have been a cheater once an alcoholic. always an alcoholic whether or not. you're alcoholic in right now via. drinking I guess so who the cheated.
first or was this a why what are you. doing um he told me I couldn't do. something and I what not the cheating. part it was yeah you usually can't do. that in a relationship I know but so we. had had our kid and I felt like I was. doing a lot of the work I was young I. was just turned 20 so he wouldn't let me. do anything I felt like yes why why. wouldn't you letting her do anything why. are you just tra house it wasn't like. that no it was like she wanted to do.
things that were irresponsible what like. constantly go out with her friends and. drink every you know 3 4 days well. that's a little hard when we're trying. to raise a child true but then there was. a time where he would want to hang out. with his friends at the house and he. said if you leave then we're breaking up. and I said fine so I left and closed the. door okay we were 20 and 20 yeah but you. had a kid we shouldn't know was an. oopsie yeah well hope she doesn't watch. this well no she know that birth control. is very important even though it doesn't.
work she knows that at 10 our child 10. knows that birth control does not work I. mean you should use it but there's the. man has to do his part and we did not do. that part our child is very mature she. is cuz she sees so many driveby. shootings in Detroit she had to grow up. quick no because we're open with her and. we're honest about how the world is. working and I don't want to raise her. her kid for her when she's a teenager if.
that happens so just prepping. her okay so. he confined you to the house kind of but. also kind of correctly also didn't want. you to go raging every single night yeah. with a kid at. home that's not unfair but okay so you. went and suck some oh no no no I don't. do that isn't that what cheating is I. mean I I I I it wasn't that bad but it.
wasn't good it was just like I made out. with. someone oh but we were we had a kid so. like I mean that's still bad but that's. not what I'm like picturing you know. yeah okay ever notice how the market. gets all jittery when there's a big. shift up in Washington yeah me too and. with the big news of the recent. presidential election wall Street's been. on a bit of a roller coaster whether the. back to the episode wait you had a kid. not with that person absolutely not oh. my God no and then you Revenge cheated. yeah um and what does that look like uh. it looked like we're getting a little. Lord dump right now but it is good to. know where they came from we were uh we. were in the process of getting back. together secretly but I was seeing. somebody else at the time how long have. you seen them like 2 weeks. okay and that that was it that was a. cheating if you guys weren't together I.
mean he was we were on a break oh my God. so you guys weren't dating well I mean. we were together and he was we were we. were getting back together we had talked. about getting back together and I was. still in denial and people were having. two people at one time without. commitment to either one wait what who. are you talking about me yeah you not. you not me people you said people like. he was he was with that other person and. they would have and then he was also. with me for a very short time and also.
had you guys seem a little toxic We Were. Young it was a long time ago we're young. but the decisions of the actions that. you guys the that are doing now the. consequences of them are laying in front. of me and it doesn't seem like that we. are young anymore cuz we're in our 30s. you're in a place where immaturity is a. little less acceptable in certain. instances you still have fun doesn't. mean you destroy your life and right now.
I don't think that we were young is. really applying because your entire. situation is and you're blaming. something on a $300 month payment in a. low cost of livion area. relatively for your income especially I. think that immaturity may have just. shifted to something different so then. you broke up again just a couple years. ago now why and for how long and what. and who did we suck this time what. happened there was no sucking M on. either heart no we we were very cordial.
um I actually paid for her apartment and. it lasted about 6 months and we had to. break the lease and why did you guys get. why did you guys break up because I was. sick of the financial burden really okay. there we go leading ca for divorce in. the country one of them okay so three. years ago three years ago we broke up. parents of a kid that we had together we. broke up yeah yes for finances yet we.
were on this show three years later and. the finances are if they've ever been. before like just about as bad as it gets. I think that's how did we get back. together and stay together and have this. conversation now and why has nothing. changed if we broke up 3 years ago. during due to finances we're trying to. change it now sure but why nothing. change if we literally broke up 3 years. ago due to finances yet we are talking. about the finances today we still don't. like he knows my finances for the most.
part I know nothing about anything for. him I don't know anything about the. house cars nothing but he broke up with. you because of your finances well yeah I. have debt like a a lot what but why is. nothing changed if the reason we broke. up three years ago was because of. finances so why has nothing changed in. three years uh cuz I can't afford to pay. it off as quickly as I like and it's. weird asking him for extra money to pay. off bills we've you know are starting. they're asking money I mean you guys. aren't legally married but you guys are. so individualistic about this you're not.
Fu you guys are not a. community yeah your house is not a house. you guys are not a family you might. unite on taking care of the child but I. think it stops there asking your husband. for money shouldn't be the thing you. guys should be tackling your financial. problems together and trying to achieve. the goals that you both have together. yeah my fear is that if we put our money. together it would just be gone because. of of of care spending habits.
but it's not bad lately and I think that. it's not just me I he just sees what I. purchase I don't see what he purchases. so I feel like it's different cuz I know. he goes out to eat way more than I do. and stuff but when I buy stuff he sees. it true yeah I'm on the road a lot for. work um so I do eat so is it all her. fault then you this is lot of like her. her her her her coming from you I think. a lot of the irresponsible spending is. her fault she just said and you admitted.
to going on a lot but then you freak out. when she. does how does this look guys what is the. relationship with money now we got your. a little backstory it's better than it. has been it's not great it's better than. it has been yet this is in front of me. yes yes I'm just trying to prevent you. guys from breaking up. again thank you yeah I think I think. we're good this time yeah I think I for. now well we go to coup's therapy too. which we do to start that's good yeah. and there's no insurance so we do I mean. it is a commitment cuz it's a good chunk.
of money that we're spending have. insurance or you just went to someone. that doesn't accept yeah he doesn't. accept it he's a specialist want this. person specifically okay that's fine. that's fine well I mean we'll definitely. put it in the budget I. am good with. that okay neither of you leave this. neither of you leave this studio until. you both download the simpler budget app. you'll create an account eventually. we'll be able to have two accounts. access the same thing but you'll create.
one account you guys will log in. together you will budget this you're. going to try this United if you guys. really have to be separate then create. your own separate ones but use simpler. budget it's our budgeting appm. specifically for you guys use the. premium version for free literally for. Life CU you guys are guest on the show. they get it like a few weeks to try it. for free but you come on as easy as that. I'm glad you guys are in therapy that is. a good first step but I don't know I I. I've already scene and how long have we.
been filming like 20 minutes just like. deflection and blame towards each other. and one person cheats the other person. cheats and it's just. it's which is important to know because. I want I'm just trying to avoid us. getting there again yeah but he also has. lots of excuses like he says that he. doesn't know how to cook can I just say. we're blaming but we are because I can't. find a middle ground because I like. budgeting he doesn't like budgeting why. don't you like budgeting that's kind of. like the minimum basic cool [ __ ] I don't.
know you like cool [ __ ] what is liking. cool [ __ ] I like cool shoes I like do. you like the mother of your child yeah. yeah maybe you should keep her around. sometimes yeah I'm sure there's. disagreements here and there but aren't. we playing the long game at least for. the sake of the kid ideally yeah what. are the excuses um so he doesn't know. how to cook so I have to try while I'm. gone all day pretty much how to prep. which I can she is the woman am I right.
but I'll get you know REM a new for. getting Starbucks but then him and his. buddy will buy two jet skis without. telling me why the you buying jet the. water in Detroit's nasty anyway what are. you doing is not you just want Le all. over your skin you going to what are you. doing I like cool [ __ ] I have fun with. jet skis this is a purchase that was. made years and years ago Lake Eerie is. objectively like the worst great lake. that Michigan touches Lake St Clair it's. the fifth Great Lake.
there's already five the sixth Great. Lake I see what I'm dealing with here. but okay he also he doesn't believe in. any form of savings like I think there. should be not maybe not three but at. least two different forms of savings and. he just thinks it's all one lump sum and. as long as we don't go below a certain. amount it's fine okay so why not cooking. I know I was making a little stupid but. it's not it's not that I don't believe. in savings I don't believe in a specific.
savings account like in actual the. cooking thing and going out to eat and. all this stuff instead of collaborating. with your wife is. here yeah I can't cook okay why don't. okay use our budget friendly cookbook. that comes with the app as well stop. being a little bit well you what do you. mean I can't cook have you never heard. of Google or. YouTube you know it's like five little. steps are you a what you're a. 32-year-old Manchild cook that can if he. literally just tries once I'm sure you.
learned things you learned how to you. know manage a jet ski and take care of. it and maintenance and how to use it. without dying I think you can learn how. to fry some eggs almost died on it so. but you didn't he he can do frozen. chicken nuggets and french fries and. cereal and a sandwich I can make. sandwiches I can make a bomb sandwich. and then the budgeting thing that she. says I want I watch your perspective on. this man she's. throwing yeah I mean I. don't like spending the time to sit down.
and looking at a sheet of paper that. tells me what I can and can't buy I just. if I can buy it I buy. [Music]. it I I don't agree how do the. conversations go with this it doesn't. because it doesn't he just does he just. says if it goes below 10,000 that's when. we have to worry and that's all I know I. don't even know what our save well I. guess our savings is I don't have one. personally so I don't know anything. about any of that is there an ours. he says there is yeah I don't think.
there's ever like I I know she said she. has to ask for money but it's not like a. permission thing it's hey I need money. for this okay here why would she have to. come to you though again now you guys. aren't legally married once again if we. was all together I think it would be. spent you wouldn't be able to control. yourself you guys wouldn't be able to. sit down and do the budget on a monthly. basis and talk about what went wrong in. this previous month and what we need to. address for the future month I think. recently we'd be able to do that but in. past no chance I don't even think we can. do that we were supposed to sit down.
this last weekend to talk about our. stuff for the next coming week so I'm. not o like overstressed and we couldn't. even do that so why uh. life the [ __ ] is that we have a lot of. crap going on I know everyone do. everyone does at every time yeah I would. say busy is an understatement for us I. on Aver you have a kid you're a little. busier than. normal pets too we have six pets why cuz. like so I but if you can't literally.
afford life I don't think we're taking. on that responsibility one's not ours. yeah we Foster okay so five even still. what are they dogs do they all have pet. insurance no then you what happens if. they need a surgery that you cannot. afford so right now let them die I don't. think you should have them in that case. then how well how would you do it then. because right now I want to take care of. these Debs and no how would you do it if. they had a surgery or works at a you are. in that one lucky position but that. essentially means you can't leave for.
their sake or else yeah we need to start. budgeting in ped Insurance probably 40. bucks per which I'm fine with but not. now because I have such a good deal at. work I would rather have that when I'm. done paying off debts for the most part. or you know have that allotted. availability there's no point right now. because I pretty much pay nothing okay. let's start jumping into these numbers. there was I think I at least understand. you guys' situation what yeah there was. there was a period where we were getting. at least one Amazon delivery a day at.
least or were they Necessities or fun no. Necessities organizing our fridge with. containers is not a necessity that's not. a necessity it helps me and helps but. it's not a necessity it's not a survival. thing yeah but I also get stuff to help. my kid get her own lunch and everything. and then I get stuff we have to give. from Amazon to help her get her own. lunch cheese is in a box shut up so that. or I get stuff for him to help with.
cleaning the kitty litter that he's. supposed to do I got that so there's a. cat you said all dogs oh well one cat we. have one cat yeah he doesn't do anything. um poops and eats yeah but it's. automated for him to help well you don't. do anything oh I when it's full but yeah. we have an aut what's the problem so are. I try to get things that'll make things. easier for him and or you got the cat. letter okay the automat or like a 3 lit. watered thing for the dogs to drink out. of so that we didn't have to fill I know. it's stupid but it's stupid it we still.
have to fill it every day and it's a. pain in the ass to fill okay well the. thought was there but those are my. purchases it's mainly for house stuff. it's not like I'm buying jewelry or. pures it's not necessary when we have. that that we cannot and if you guys. break up you're on your own you have no. legal protection to anything oh I'm. [ __ ] you're because you guys refuse to. get married well I have no money exactly. my bills and you refuse to get married. there's no protection here guys there's. nothing yeah I want to know self. assessed where you guys think you are.
I'm going to count down from three it's. going to be like 3 2 1 go and then on go. I want you guys to give me your. household Financial score where you. think you are zero being the worst 10. being the best at the same time three. two one four okay four so why do you. think we're double where you think she. is or where she thinks you guys are uh. cuz all are paid. I don't even think that's 100% True by.
the way but uh. okay I guess maybe your portion of bills. because we're so individualized yeah I. mean we aren't in the danger of losing. any anything like our house our cars we. don't have happens payday loans or I. don't think or anything like that but. people that do end up losing stuff are. usually at this position before they get. there you guys are on that slippery. slope and you might be the anchor for. that so you said two yeah well I took. your your quiz and it said too it said.
too but I also was very vague with stuff. because again I don't know well that. doesn't well I tried my best based off. what information he gave me when we did. are you hiding information from her no. no then what's the issue here uh she. tends to overreact and be very stressed. with things but I I I I think I try to. protect her more or less and make her. not worry about things that she doesn't. have to worry about I still. worry it's stop not working it's not. working so do you.
request um transparency kind of I it. even took a while for me to try to get. my name on the house but like I'm it's. fine but those are interesting well at. least you do have that legal part yeah. that's your one thing yeah cuz it again. comes but I think would you guys get the. house. 2020 uh 2021 2021 the house it's value. yes it does it's it's good it's huh he. said how its value Oh I thought you said. the house has value um I think we have.

the audience is or the sorry online is. weird so I have to ask these things but. for those who are considered applying. now you all know okay yeah come on down. we we'd love to have you. guys the. money synchrony Amazon synchrony what. I'm looking at if I'm not mistaken is. mostly yours yep I do have all your. documents you just don't have many yeah. I don't uh I don't have any credit cards. right now why are we so different here. why why are we so different because I.
don't make a lot and also when I was no. that's not well when I was making no. money I but he would be supporting you. as your husband but when we weren't. together he wasn't so I've had some of. these credit cards you were apart for 6. months and that was three the one when. my child was like a year old I decade. ago so what a lot of money on that one. credit card but even if it was in. collections or something at that point. it would have fallen off it's not in. collections I I know but you just held. on to for okay so what have you tried to. do okay okay okay I get it I get it I.
get it so it was hard during that time. but over the last 10 years when he has. been yours you guys are supporting each. other or at least supposed to yeah why. has it maintained then instead of 10. years of paying it off of which it would. have been paid off all of this cuz I. didn't put a lot extra towards towards. each one and why cuz I didn't have the. money to I could had but you guys are. together I know so I didn't want to keep. taking Tak his money cuz I didn't know. where he is it taking his money cuz. we're not together because we're not.
married because we're not an actual. couple no but like 8 months ago I I only. found out how much he made at his job. eight months ago why how you guys are. not together you guys aren't together. you guys take care of the kids but you. guys are not together we are he knows. how much I we don't seem very United. probably cuz you told him is it cuz he. asked no he doesn't ask well why aren't. we communicating anything guys no wonder. we've broken up. twice and listen you're going to get. anywhere if you say everything bad in my.
life is because of something that. happened 10 years ago that is a victim. mentality you've had 10 years to fix it. of which you were not in that situation. where you were 10 years ago and yet. you're not changing anything I know I'm. just making excuses but it's easier it. is easier but guess what it makes it. actually harder long term because this. is gets worse and worse and worse and. eventually you do lose the house that's. what happens to people eventually you do. lose the car that's what happens to. people Detroit's not walkable so you. need that car mhm. especially.
him so we know how much you guys made. now over the course we had about we had. kind of like a month and a half of. statement it was an interesting. situation but either way like 5,900 came. through you you was 1,250 just last. hours I guess 1,250 that's what we got. from your payroll that hit um shouldn't. be well either way we know what comes in. normally is 7,400 after everything. together what did you guys spend. combined of course you wouldn't know cuz. we don't talk most I don't but I don't.
even know what combin would be well I. definitely spent if it was that's a. combined number let's just see where you. guys even think where you guys are 4, 3500 was going to be my guess 3500. together 4,000 together you want to add. one at the front of that I'm sorry. $113,000. guys are you fuing kidding me how the. how have you operated how have we gotten. to this is literally what it. mathematically adds up.
to right there that's insane it is. insane almost a thousand of it alone was. going out to. eat almost 2,000 of it was. misscellaneous Bull that could either be. things like video games or new tool for. the jet ski or just things that do not. matter it is miscellaneous [ __ ]. unknown shopping things we couldn't tell. it's usually like Walmart or Target cuz. you don't really know it's either or not. 2,17. $178 then additional large purchases.
which will go over. $2,400 Jesus this is unsustainable. Beyond it's. crazy it's working so far it's not the. Situation's getting worse wasn't it. christmas-ish time it was but you didn't. have money so I don't give a regardless. I'm bad with Christmas yeah yes you're. bad at life you're bad at the. relationship objectively from what we've. talked about if I didn't cut off you. guys are dating like high schoolers.
right now good job but you're in your. 30s oh if I didn't cut off like a a a. Christmas like say okay that's enough. she would continue to buy our child. gifts until do you have no selfcontrol. in life do you have any other addictions. are you a vapor are you a drinker what. do you have cuz obviously you have no. self-control I don't do anything I was. drinking but I actually have stopped. completely okay because you didn't have. self-control yeah kind of you didn't. have self-control to not kiss that dude. huh yeah no I I mean I don't want to. agree with you but I will yeah because. it's the truth it is indicative.
throughout your life here it's showing. yeah but if I don't buy her presents he. won't really buy her anything that she. actually wants he'll just get her random. crap that's cheap also half the unknown. shopping was Amazon oh that's me and I'm. going to go through that Amazon account. okay and I'm going to look at everything. that was there. $1,646 on here with a $60 minimum three. payment how long does this take to pay. off just minimum three payments without. purchases which by the way you fail at. because you purchase $89. 79 even though.
$42.96 of interest is acing and we're. making no progress in the balance. actually went up on something that you. paid more than the minimum monly payment. on congratulations that's horrible how. long does it take to pay off only. minimum monthly payments with no. purchases uh four years okay 10 years oh. you're going to be in your. 40s that's what we want for an Amazon. card no you want to be paying off 2024. Christmas in 10 years no yeah but I do. pay over on all of them doesn't matter. the balance went up cuz you purchased it. doesn't matter if you put more money on.
it if you are spending on it yeah how. does that not make sense guys I will. never understand how that does not make. sense to people it makes me feel better. what does because I know if I just pay. minimum then I'm extra screwing my so. it's a cope it's a cope payment that. you're doing come on Amazon Amazon. Lenny's pizza and Amazon interest charge. last year alone was5 uh $10. and just Amazon one card a single card.
$510 taken from you remember you. basically according to you have like no. money that you make and you just gave. away $510 to Bezos you paid for his like. 50th wife's new fake tits yeah but I. needed okay oh uh I needed of that that. would be nice I'll take some of those um. no don't do it they're not as good. they're not that cool exactly thank you. well you aren't getting them unless you. do it for you your happiness I got to. yeah so we're going to pay off debt and.
buy some. boobies um the Lenny thing was for my. daughter's hockey tournament so that was. needed the other thing is totes to. organize the garage you got pizza well. it's like uh protein pizza or like. pretzels it's weird it's like the like. uh I don't know she bought the hockey. team protein pretzels because they. needed it for their game you didn't need. it well we were supposed to bring. something thing and then they ended up. saying okay well they're playing hockey.
well it was yeah for a whole okay then. bring a fist to their face they need to. build up stamina I you can't afford it. as simple as that what is the credit. limit on this uh is it 1,500 better not. be cuz you owe 1646 oh well then sure. 1,800 well you don't know a single thing. I don't know I well I don't see it um it. doesn't say what is it a limited I hope. I hope not giving you everything all. right pull up that Amazon account and.
start a screen recording we'll bleep out. personal information okay I don't know. how oh this I do oh my Apple please I. love you I use all your stuff and your. stocks incredible how is how is your bad. how can I not search. screening. recordings this is ridiculous all right. let's just go through the Amazon kind. dog encyclopedia yeah need that to. survive LIF Savers need that to survive. oil need that to survive it's for my kid. hair it's really I don't give.
a the oil her hair is bad and maybe that. one's okay but the rest oh is this. frizzy no she gets like knots Like A. Rat's Nest I promise so that she needs. you have curly hair yes he does I used. to have very long hair uh PS4 stand we. definitely don't need that with cooling. that was a gift card I it doesn't okay. then use that on the oil well I was. before that I didn't have the gift card. by one day well yeah cuz I spent it all.
on that that PS4 you probably shouldn't. spend money cuz you can't there's. organizers organizers organizers forever. a picture frame great necessary for. survival it what do you meme emotional. stuffed animals shut the up this is all. [ __ ] I don't give a any of it for. this is all [ __ ] Veterinary stickers. don't need it gummy peelable oranges. don't need it premium free lemon heads. definitely don't need secret I don't. give a Secret pay off your debt and then.
brag about it once you're done I can't. say that to work what that you PID off. your debt well I can say that but I'm. not part of the secret s there's five of. us okay listen but you got two things. you would buy her mail a Christmas. present I bet ring boxes some luxury. warming bull I don't know how far you. can go on there some. pens huh buy him ch christas presents. [ __ ] is Christmas presents uh we had a.
deal this year that we would not buy. each other Christmas presents that's. what everyone says though yeah correct. it didn't didn't work well multicat. calming fragrance it's my cat. Wasing smart garage door opener and then. feed it to the dogs I can't don't do. that I love cats I'm. kidding are you sure I mean I like dogs. a little more because they do more have. actual personalities appreciate when you. come home and do 10 times more things. but I do like cats uh just slightly less.
our cat's pretty cool yeah good he he. goes to town on our big dog that's weird. I. know tell them to wrap it up unlike you. guys just say so much [ __ ] Mario all. this this is crap that is all crap I. didn't see anything in there that was. like toilet paper or anything you don't. care no I thought you were going to say. anything. inappropriate it was Christmas presents. I didn't know what was on this is there. usually inappropriate stuff no um.
no I heard um and no yeah I don't know. why there was um cuz I got him a gift. for um he got his own office and stuff. so I got. him nice things for him off Amazon I. just didn't want you to see it that's. all what is it things for my desk that I. didn't. need but I appreciated them what is it. gooning equipment what are we talking. about we got fun bedroom stuff too he. just didn't say that part okay well. really I didn't care it was just weird. how it was just weird how just like.
hiding you were I didn't want to scar. you if you saw. anything I okay yes I've never seen a. sex aren't you. single yes oh so I didn't know how long. it's been that probably means I actually. have more sex than married people we're. not married that's why okay major. Link in the description below this. budgeting app will change your life City. double cash card is this also yours yep. that one is closed Lindsay is suggesting. we could get a we could get someone here. to marry you yeah want to get married. right now no my kid would kill me why. yeah we we tried it we tried it in Vegas. last summer and she threw a contion.
because she wouldn't be there so that's. fair that's fair okay. $3,772 14 this is yours yeah $120 of. minimum monthly payments these payments. and things oh remember when I said we. pay everything on time oh oh why is. there a fee I'm curious $30 fee H. interesting I know the city double cash. card as one that I have does not have an. annual or monthly fee plus $82. 91 of. Interest so what's going on here what's. going on here oh an interesting little. return check fee that's not my fault of.
course not why would anything ever be. your fault why would you be in the. situation where things are not your. fault go ahead what's not your fault so. it's partially my fault so oh a little. bit of ownership okay that whole. communication thing that you keep. talking to us about um we didn't have. that so at one point it was going. through his card like his debit card um. two of my bills due and he didn't tell. me there wasn't enough in there so it. got returned it wasn't that it wasn't. enough in there I closed the account and. I went with a new bank and didn't uh.
move everything yeah so I didn't know. till too. late so it wasn't on purpose I have it I. had it set to Auto you guys can't. communicate cuz you don't know what's in. the accounts because you guys don't sit. down and talk because you guys are not. married because you guys are not adults. because you guys are not in a weird. relationship also doesn't matter cuz. that's only $30 a fees and there's 13. there's $153 a fees last year so no you. do not pay everything on time that. either happens every fing month or. you're not paying on time there's fees. up the ass it's endless fees and then.
$1,360 of interest just last year alone. on one card combining those were're at. about $200 in interest on the two cards. we've looked at so far what you make in. a month yeah those aren't the bad ones. you lost the month of income because of. two credit cards because you can't. manage your [ __ ] but these these I paid. Now by myself which probably doesn't. sound myself himself his money myself. you guys are a mess but that way I know.
that I can pay these off and then I just. have to make sure that the one gets paid. through his um account so I just have to. focus on one maybe not going through or. something so the kids very mature are. they going to watch this yeah she's. going to watch this yeah what is she. going to think of this disaster that you. guys are um she'll hopefully not want to. be like this that's the idea. but also we well I don't know about your. family but I did not my mom has a.
horrible mindset she makes bank and. somehow she has nothing to show for it. so I just don't want to be like that the. money part would be nice you are you've. been headed down that path for your 12. years of adulthood what trying I'm not. seeing trying there's no trying you. guess you spend you spend $12,000 you. don't even make three I know but now I'm. trying cuz I feel like I have the what. is your trying cuz I don't see it it's. not in these statements what's now a day. before you come on the show that doesn't. count that is not anything I'm not a. magic pill glad you're taking the first. step I'm glad doing couples's therapy. but those Amazon orders that are.
literally happening right now that I. just went through is not I'm trying it's. here's an excuse why we absolutely. needed or else we were going to die yeah. but what are you talking about trying I. don't think you know what the word. trying is trying I do really I do. because now I actually licensed so I can. ask for the rate of pay I deserve that. trust me this is not an income problem. no but I'm saying with that I can pay it. off easier no this is not an income. problem people like you you you make. more money you spend even double more. than the raise you got that's if you. don't end up in a situation like this if.
you're not like that that is your. behavior but it feels good when I do pay. stuff no when I pay stuff off sure but. that means you never feel that feeling. it must feel even better to go spend it. CU that's all you do yeah all you do is. order on Amazon and up and be late on. payments I know it's I know what it's. for but it's not necessities and you. guys are not getting together and you're. not communicating on anything I don't. think you know what trying is I'm glad. you're getting a race that's good I'm. glad you finished the schooling part. certification part that's good I'm glad.
that is it shows that you have work. ethic but you're not putting in work. here and do not me by telling me you are. I have the statements in front of me I. just looked at your Amazon in front of. me yeah well if this is your trying that. you're going to die in poverty no I if. your relationship is you guys trying. then cheating and breaking up twice is. not that'll be you guys not being. together. in the future and you guys have a kid to.
take care of so it's no longer a joke at. that point it is not cutesy have a fing. child mhm this is not a. joke free spirit Bank of America card. never even heard of this um so there's a. story behind that one kind of I'm taking. the blame on this one thanks oh okay I. was supposed to pay it off immediately. what do you mean immediately when was. this and why the first time we used it. okay how much I think it was like $1,000. a little over what did you use it for. why did you have to use it uh I think it.
was for a trip that we were going on and. it was like a interest free for a. promotional period And I instead did not. pay it off immediately and I told him to. and I only opened it because I knew I. had to so I didn't know anything about. points and all that crap but there was a. thing when I was on a plane that you get. a good amount of points if you signed up. and were accepted that's all you have to. do but you didn't know anything about. points well I knew that but you heard. the word points you're like I no no I.
I'm just saying I didn't know how much. uh a flight necessarily costs with. points but I knew that I was taking a. spirit trip soon so I was like okay cool. I'll get this and get the initial points. to help well he said we should use this. credit card for our trip to Fort. Lauderdale and then I'll pay it off. right away and he never did so I why. didn't you pay it off dude why didn't he. pay it off let's hear from your. perspective I mean I I told him once or. twice and then he didn't I said screw it. and I used it a little bit too what the. is that what kind of response is that.
it's not but it's the literal opposite I. thought you were GNA say so I paid it. off to be responsible for the house no. you can't because you've put yourself in. a position absolutely but that's where. that that's where that sentence would. naturally go for a reasonable person. said you made it worse I didn't want but. you still spent more on it because he. didn't pay it off that doesn't make any. sense that is the that is beyond stupid. so that means it's not all my fault no. it is not all why did you not pay it off. dude uh I I was being lazy I don't know.
or I you don't know I probably spent the. when when was this last year yeah you. guys areally just. bad with money and communicating you. guys can get the Fizz card because. obviously you guys are not credit card. people it only allows you to spend. what's in your cheing account it's a. debit card that builds credit see I. didn't want that one so that's not. completely my fault if I wouldn't have. even applied for or put money on it it. would have been fine why did you guys. get it if you didn't want it cuz I just.
I I was stupid but I thought that the. points would help cuz I was trying to. get money off of you applied for it well. yeah I just wanted money off of it. doesn't matter if you didn't want it you. applied for it but I was going on a trip. where everything was paid for except for. the you applied for it so I don't care. if you didn't want it you are the one. that did it that doesn't make sense it's. not like he did it against your will so. what the is the I didn't want it that. doesn't do anything that's trying to. make a smart thing to get a discount on. a flight and it didn't work and guess. what now we're losing $33 46 in interest. and it takes 7 years to pay off you're.
going to be approaching 40 at that point. going to Old Navy $371 in interest oh. good $228 of fees last year what is that. Miss payments every single month late. payments every single month what are we. doing um well done guys congratulations. we can't manage a single credit card and. now with the fees and the interest are. at about $. 2, uh. $600 of money completely stolen from you. last year well done good job I think. that was when I wanted him to pay it off. and then I forgot and then I didn't pay.
the monthly and then for like a year. though cuz that is a huge amount that. Stacks I did just um freeze it or. whatever it's called now I know I can. still use it did you close it no you. didn't but I don't carry it with me oh. so you I don't even have it on like my. there's not a term for that you're just. saying you don't have it in your wallet. no I don't have it on my phone and I. don't I don't ever carry no it is Frozen. too or whatever you froze it yeah what. do you mean you froze it like uh I want.
to know what that means to you like you. it's locked but you still have it you. didn't close the account no I know I. didn't close it I know that well the. interest is still acre you still have to. make your payments on time the. purchasing wasn't an issue there I don't. see any purchasing on here that's not. what I called out all I know is it's. yeah less than $80 away from the credit. limit so that's a that's a recent thing. you did oh wait there are purchases what. am I talking about Old Navy that was. Amazon well the Old Navy one was for the. Christmas looks like the Old Navy was. returned but the Amazon was purchased I.
don't know what that one is exactly oh. good but you're the Amazon queen you. don't even know what's being put on a. card that's ining interest that had. hundreds of dollars of late fees last. year and is now with the credit limit. now I do it was I needed something for. Christmas and I had enough money left. over on that card so I didn't have to. tell him I was buying another Christmas. present literally at the time of this. the Nvidia stock Nvidia stock just. dipped did yeah yeah he knows he's. following that that $228 of fees and.
$371 of Interest today I just opened up. Mumu my investing app that I personally. use and I bought inedia because I wanted. to buy the. dip that money that you could be putting. into situations like that opportunities. is just being absolutely lost because. you're just giving it to the bank. because you refuse to pay your bills on. time okay what the is this oh GMC Acadia. that's probably what it is whose GMC. Acadia mine everything is yours okay but.
I don't know anything about. that we have bad car look what the does. that mean does that mean all of a sudden. I'm nice like what do you mean I bought. it I bought it but it's her. car whose credit is it on uh both of our. names are on the car okay so we do have. some joint okay the wall is $363 minimum. the payment who makes the payment cuz. we're separated does I didn't want the. car you do so she doesn't even make the. payment cuz I don't know how you would. afford it I can't I had a car that I had.
paid off so. 14,1. 19569 what's the interest rate on this I. don't want to talk about that it's bad. the interest rate is what is the. interest rate on this I think it's like. 15% it's 14 I just looked but so you. co-signed it and still at. 14 stupid percent but we didn't have a. choice kind of mean you didn't have a. choice you said you didn't want to. I think then you had a choice to not get. it what the are you talking about living.
in the lovely Detroit uh we've had two. cars stolen a year from each other I. have a garage we do one of them was. stolen out of our driveway the other one. was stolen at a hospital when uh was at. the doctor it was the same car too by. the way do you guys live there there's. like it was actually in a very nice area. like in our there's cazoo there's Grand. Rapids there's TR City there's so many. good places and you guys live in Detroit. well it's we live north of Detroit yeah. it's not actually Detroit but it's CL.
your car G stolen twice why do you live. Shelby Township he got a car I don't. know what that means uh a very like a. wealthy area you're underwater by 13,000. well that's probably where they go to. steal the car so that makes sense but it. was a car that he knew got stolen a lot. and he has bought it three times wait. has this been stolen this one no no it's. not that no the car that got stolen. twice it was a trailblazer it's a very. commonly wait wait it was stolen then it. was found it no he bought another one.
and then he bought another one after. that I've had three of them and three. were stolen no one of them was totaled. by a drunk driver oh my wait why why. this you're underwater by 1 th000 that's. not crazy but the 14% interest rate is. insane and stupid how long's the term of. the loan uh 5 years okay well it's not. great so why this why force her into. this position so her stipulation was. that it had third row seating. and that's pretty much the most reliable. thing that I could put her reliable.
what's reliable to you what do you mean. reli I wanted to put her and our kid and. a nice you have a kid why do you need a. third row one kid no it's mainly for a. if I have to take any of her teammates. anywhere or if I need to put that down. make them steal a car everyone does it. if I have to put those down to put her. hockey and all her soccer crap in the. trunk well yeah just get a good trunk. that you don't need a third r well that. so for the soccer players usually the. third row just takes up the trunk space.
that would already be we don't use the. third row seats very much it's just a. big. trunk okay yeah so you did need this I. mean I didn't need it but if he was. going to try and get a car for me that. was the only thing I care about why. could she get what was how long have you. had this um a year and a half what was. the purchase price 18 or why could we a. more. 10,000 I like cool [ __ ] this isn't cool. it's.
nice I don't know anything about it I. just said okay this is a normal whatever. it's like a cool mom car I guess get a. tiot of minivan I again I had no say i'. I mean I've never why did she have no. say in what to get though that's I think. more or less she had no care like I said. I said what do you want and she said I. want a big trunk or third row seating. that's what it that's what it was. it wasn't that she had no I was fine. with my. car she was fine with her car uh at the.
time because of the stolen vehicles we. were driving a uh 2021 Jeep compass that. we were paying $6 a month so I got out. of that no it was a lease but I got you. rolled it over I rolled it over yes so I. got out of that and what was it roll. over into into this uh no I rolled the. total car or the stolen car into the. into the lease what about the remainder.
of the lease though that I got out of it. positively oh okay cuz you through the. same dealership I sold the lease to a. different really car dealership yeah and. then bought that okay I have no idea. what's going on right now well all that. I care about is that you have a. $4,195 car 14% interest had a 5-year. turn with four years left had a 363. minimum the payment that he's taken care. of because again we're separate I tried. to refinance it within the last month or.
so and got ghosted by the ghosted what. do you mean he just he just stopped. answering my calls email the guy that I. was dealing with like what from where it. was called autopay was the company okay. you didn't like well why didn't you use. the opportunity you already had the. credit did you already have the hard. inquiry on your credit yes okay then why. don't you just apply to other places I I. I was just trying to keep up contacting. him and it just hasn't worked why him. are you love what the is happen no I. liked the rate that we were getting I. think it was like down to 9% yeah you.
were ghosted buddy sorry happens every. once in a while you got not used do that. oh must be nice we've been together for. 10 years what are you talking about who. are you getting ghosted by I mean I've. been ghosted. before while ago but a long time ago ago. well yeah but still at this point we. don't know with you guys okay Capital. One Venture one who has this that's me. this is the long one this is my first. credit card ever. credit card and it's over the credit. limit I hate it yeah oh no no no so I no.
yes yes no yes I just found out I didn't. know this but it was 10,000 was my Max. and they've been lowering it which is. fine I just didn't know that so it looks. like it's over I think cuz I just looked. it yeah but it's cuz they keep lowering. it uh I didn't know that oh good you're. not purchasing on it how long does this. take to pay off oh I don't know 27 years. 26 years that's a great guess it was a. great guess and it's a horrible life it. is I hate it and he wants to hate it why.
the is it never being paid down at all. in the 10 years that you guys are you. know making money and living in pretty. cheap areas I think we pay $350 a month. on that it's like 200 something interest. yeah it was $221 13 of Interest minim. monthly payment 316 26 years to pay off. when did you rack this up when was the. last time a purchase was made on to be. honest 26.74% interest I mean if fees. last year fees does this card have a fee. or those late fees I probably late fees. I don't think it has a fee anual does it.
I I could be wrong but I think it has an. annual well I look it up but I don't. have it I don't have search capabilities. $2,575 of Interest so now $55,000 of. fees and interest what taking from you. last year oh my God two months of your. earnings two months of your earnings are. gone yes but since I oh there's going to. be a butt to that for all my current or. aspiring content creators keep listening. making videos can seem like a breeze but.
let me tell you the truth it's not only. hard but it takes time and a lot of it. but with tools like today's sponsor nid. it doesn't have to be nid is a tool. using AI that empowers you to make. whatever kind of content you need. without the usual hassle say goodbye to. hours at the editing dock days of. filming and recording your own. voiceovers whether you're a Content. veteran or just starting inv video is. there to make the pro process easy so. how does it work step one just type in. your idea for example let's create a one.
minute trailer where Indiana Jones. discovers a new age influencer at Area. 51 under the moonlit Desert Sky Indiana. Jones faces a tall barbed wire fence. Indie crouches cutting through the fence. the desert is quiet his face half lit by. the moon as he sneaks inside inside a. large dark hanger step two make sure. things are perfect want to change the. music type ad IC music that's similar to. the original Indiana Jones soundtrack. and just like that you get the music you.
need need a voiceover you can even clone. your voice so it sounds just like you. Indiana always the skeptic is drawn into. her world of crystals prophecies and. extraterrestrial Whispers within video. it's like you have your own content. Studio without the space and massive. overhead start to finish it's your. creative partner helping you get started. irrespective of the skill level you're. already at you can even try it for free. and you'll see the countless amount of. ours saved so if you haven't checked out. nid ai3 already go check it out right.
now for free use my link and code in the. description this will save you hundreds. of dollars that you would have otherwise. spent on editing animating and other. production costs try out the future of. video creation today I actually started. to try to do the I don't think it's. maybe snowball whatever that stupid. thing is the thing where you pay off the. higher interest but the lower amount one. cuz this is going to take me ever so I'd. rather get rid of the smaller ones and. put that toward your last purchase on it. probably for Christmas but 20 bucks but.
before that no what you purchased it on. this now snowball method does not work. if you're purchasing it that's not in. the method I don't okay I don't think I. am but I I don't want you to get all. upset again so I'm just going to say. maybe a small purchase to like how do. you not fing know you're going through. this method I don't think I did but I. can't remember that 90 yeah that's oh uh. um Capital. One capital one Venture rewards credit. that version has $890 fee but the.
Capital One Venture one credit. huh Venture is this the Venture one yeah. yeah this one does not have a fee those. are late fees though sweet. awesome that goes through Brian yeah. Brian pays for that because how are you. guys deciding what happens where again. you're so weird with all this I can. afford the smaller bills I can't afford. the why is it the his mind all this. stuff though this is so. weird it's not even the joint account. why aren't you guys attacking them.
together the joint account isn't even. the big thing she just says hey we need. to pay x amount of Dollar on this card I. say okay but there's been times where I. say hey can we pay 200 extra towards. this and he'll say well I can't do that. right now but okay what about the Care. Credit I got screwed on that one yeah. cuz you've been the victim this entire. conversation how were you the victim in. this one well I have paid for some of. his medical stuff with it but it was. used before I was working it was used. for our pets um but I did also her.
mother's pet if you can't afford pets. don't get them her mother's pet is on. there it is not fair to the pet well. when I got it I was working in a vet. clinic and you couldn't afford it yet. cuz we still well no that was the in. between when I wasn't I was working at a. really good um hospital and then I is it. free I mean it's not free but it then. how would you still be able to afford a. major surgery either they can take it. out of your pay if they have to or well. that's not a 40 well I do every I.
haven't had a major surgery I know I. know I know I can but otherwise. everything else like one time a dog has. to eat something and it gets stuck in. their intestine no I know but I don't. pay for like X-rays I don't pay for. that's the easy the the surgery is what. kills you well I do most the surgery too. so it you know you don't do the surgery. a surgeon does the. [Applause]. surgery if you can't afford pet. insurance you can't afford pets that is. is like the basic new reality here I'm. not going to follow that like I would I.
would go I would go into way more debt. for a pet you aren't qualified no I know. but I'm saying that I I will always have. a pet yeah but what if you get denied. the debt uh I didn't even know pet. insurance was a thing yeah INS INS okay. it depends on the kind I don't like some. of them well yeah some of them are just. like some insurance in general but see. the thing is I wouldn't use it because I. don't need it for wellness like I'm not. saying. I'm saying for those it's insurance for. the big things just like you have health. insurance so that when a big thing.
happens you're not going bankrupt but. also it's going to be kind of expensive. for some of mine because they have like. issues already or they're 17 years old. so that's a different convers that's a. different conversation but I'm saying. with the new ones that you get yes okay. that yeah we can fit that into the. budget I'm fine with that but for some. of them it does price-wise it doesn't. make sense for well yes no I mean once. you have like a 17-year-old no I. wouldn't recommend it yeah or even I. have or a chronically sick one yeah yes. okay even those with like past issues of. doing things you can't get them that's. not the point yeah we have a dog with.
like a cardiac issue that yeah and I. wouldn't say do them but that's not the. point I'm just saying if you cannot. afford the basic health insurance when. you get a pet you can't afford the pet. because if you can't afford the basic. health insurance then you also cannot. afford the basic big thing to save their. life yeah that is a obviously you know. we suck at communicating uh but that's a. conversation we just haven't had but I. did look into it I did look into it and. price-wise for all the pets well. obviously not the sick ones and the old. ones so 4,000 424 on here yeah well I. thought cuz I was making all the. payments $148 minimum payment and $103.
48 of Interest gr seven well not this. month but probably last year 17 years to. pay off all these are multi- decades. let's see two $287 a fees she let her. mom put her dog's ACL surgery on that. card why and it didn't get paid off in. the promotional period like it was. agreed upon why um I I mean I I don't. she couldn't get her own debt I'm she. had her own she has huge financial.
issues that's not her fault it's not. it's not nothing awesome she got got by. somebody faking being somebody else and. they opened a business together and he. was operating under a fake name and got. her for like. $200,000 yeah so it was not her fault. it's a huge thing but anyway so I did. that but it doesn't pay it to the. promotional periods which I didn't know. I thought if I didn't know you signed up. for something you didn't understand. great I mean yeah cuz I signed up when I.
was. 19 so my balance people can't ask. questions at 19 no I can but I don't. know I I I've never had one my mother. never talked to me about it he didn't. have any cards yeah congratulations. welcome to the entire world where none. of us are financially educated when. we're born you learn things you ask. questions which I should have and now I. learned my lesson and now you have this. what's the $287 of fees last year though. um I had it on autopay and it wasn't. working so I called to complain no I did. you called to complain but it wasn't big. enough for obviously their fault enough.
for them to reverse it well they did it. once and then I signed up for autopay he. made me do it on the phone with him and. I said okay does it say signed up now he. said yes what do you mean it wasn't. working was not working it's not it's. wasn't Auto paying then why why aren't. you tracking your [ __ ] though regardless. I did check after the fact and when I. called them after this is a lot of late. fees no I know I'm I'm it's went on for. a while so that's why I you looking at. your accounts ever I I was just after. the fact I never after the fact every. single time so you're like oh wait that.
one failed last time that's okay and. then after I start it failed last month. I'm sure it's going to work this month. well I signed up he watched me and the. dude on the phone said that it signed up. for auto this is a lot of Auto pays. though so I'm saying if you notice one. miss and you corrected it okay but. obviously it failed again like how many. times does it take until you like okay. maybe I just make the payment well yeah. then I said screw it I'm not doing. autopay and now I just do it by like. just go a day or so now we're. at. $6,500 or so no of yeah in Fe oh okay.
interest sorry I thought you meant total. is like absolutely not fees and interest. across the board yep it's insane we. might hit and that one actually was down. to about 2,500 and then with all the. promotional ending it went down up to. like 4,000 something and depart now on. that so how much in student loans do you. have is it justice. 3,453 yeah and and that's from a while. ago are you paying on them I wasn't um I. did start cuz I assumed I should I just.
paid the interest I paid well I paid $50. which covered the interest that was. built up which is probably stupid but I. don't know what to do with it cuz I. don't need to pay it now don't log in no. I I do but it's def does it say it's. deferred okay right yeah it's deferred. yeah till uh January of. 2026 okay okay that was the actual. answer. of the mortgage okay at a. 2.875 rate we love that you're both on.
this we did it yeah and she gets she. gets really uh really upset when I tell. her we're never moving because of our. interest. rate yeah I mean we can still move and. you can still use that to rent I just. don't like the house why not anytime. soon don't. $1,459 $79 a month or and. 79 a month. why don't you like the house uh for all. the crap we have there's there's not. enough. room square footage 1,600 ft but we.
don't have a traditional we don't have. like storage areas my kid doesn't have. anywhere to do anything basement no no. it's. a very small one okay the addict is just. over the kitchen and Brian was doing all. the house hunting himself and then it. for the most part for the most part and. we we've never obviously bought he. bought it cuz you guys weren't married. and you're not together so. hey we both on it now on don't now. what's this AT&T thing that I have I.
don't know that's just our phone bill. it's $410 a month uh my mom my stepdad. they they pay their portion they pay. their portion what's their portion like. 200ish oh my so even you guys alone are. 200 I have three lines Why well I have a. work phone but they pay they reimburse. me how much is that they reimburse me. $50 okay so even 150 and we have my. phone her phone and our daughter has a. phone are the phones owned outright uh.
no I don't know about this either which. isn't good I think they're all about $5. a month when. you the thing is I love just the. different resources out there again one. of the things that we connect people. with and the audience helium for. literally $15 a month T-Mobile towers. same Services T-Mobile but you can't do. that when you owe the phone when you. still owe on the phone to. someone sake. okay well okay what am I seeing here.
it's a retirement whose retirement is. 4,300. mine okay dramatically behind for your. age yeah it's it's new he never had a. big boy job for a good amount of years. so what was this thing that someone told. me at the beginning we pay our bills on. time cuz that was obviously complete. line we've just gone through this and. every account had late fees but they're. old late fees from a year that ended a. month ago shut the up listen including.
in that year was an overdraft from a. checking account yeah no we are not. financially sound you cannot have any. sense of Financial Security Fifth Third. is you yeah yeah so you're both you're. both stupid with money I don't want ever. want to hear one person's good one. person's bad absolutely not Andy balance. of 886 it's okay it's a little I'd. rather get closer to a couple thousand. just in case he doesn't believe in. keeping money in Banks. but that's where your mortgage is paid. he only puts in the stuffer bills yeah I.
keep cash what the the are you what dude. you're in Detroit that's the worst place. to keep cash we have a safe yeah we have. two safes watch them learn how to take a. safe one is very smalled to the floor. one is not watch them learn how. to get screw drivers and that's another. thing we don't agree on is he doesn't. like to put any money in any form of. different savings and also sense you're. losing 3% a year to. inflation he doesn't why would you want.
that and then why would you want your. house to be a spot where they robbers. would look well they don't know that. it's there they don't advertise it. you're even though you're using a fake. name there are going to be a few people. who know you who you are this is fair. yeah and but also I don't even know. what's in the savings I don't even know. what is in how much cash uh like 15,000. you're [ __ ] stupid why why not get 4%. in a high yield. savings I didn't know that there were.
savings accounts that had that good of. interest rates are you you can look. things what is with people and not just. trying to ask questions. I I don't get it he likes to do like his. own stocks he like researched that when. this your own stocks you have $15,000 in. cash what stocks no I'm saying he liked. to do what was it I got to the moon or. whatever that I got caught up in the AMC. GameStop stuff he would play that on our. TV all day long and I had to watch this. really annoying guy I'm so tired now I. thought it was a stockmaster for what.
you're watching roaring Kitty no who was. that annoying um what was his name Matt. Kors or something like that it was the. worst no it I don't think he ended up. being anything Merchant. payment uh Chop House Detroit Chipotle a. grill ven went out money Amazon. Fantastics what's that F. Fanatics uh so in Michigan we have all. the uh online Sports gambling apps what.
you gamble I don't gamble I hustle them. for their promotions what do you mean. what was this $50 then cuz it was still. $50 that left your account correct and. if you go through them are you seeing a. pattern Mr GameStop. AMC yes but it's a good pattern I I how. much money did you make on GameStop and. AMC uh like 6,000 you made and you took. out yes glad you actually took out one. the rare few that was a long time. ago ago well but who knows what he's.
been doing. s go explain uh I just hustle them for. their promos if they have like a deposit. 50 get 10 I deposit the 50 and then you. can lose $1 for 53 and then you profit. the N if you're being 100% truthful net. across the board are you profitable are. you down yes yes 100% yes how profitable. I mean very minuscule but it's at zero. risk good point he is good at like poker.
and gambling I will say cuz we do trips. and stuff for poker itself I put it in. the fun money but you guys just don't. have money to like Risk right now yeah I. mean but he doesn't risk it for poker I. have a backer I I used to play poker for. a living and I still play very. occasionally but I have a a backer for. that Marshalls PayPal and out zeling out. TP fund anything else to survive I'm. going to do $200 there going to be. school stuff for kids as well some's. going to be less than a month some's. going to be more Medical Healthcare what.
is the co-pays for all the stuff and the. cost of the therapy all that blah blah. blah couples is 300 a month my um. therapy is 40 a month and then our. daughter has um like inhalers and stuff. so I like 80 for all of our Med medicine. anything else um I have a psychologist. but that's every three months and it's. 30 bucks so I don't I had 10 okay all. right 430. Jim I have yeah how much um 36 do you. have yours yeah 25.
okay 61 anything. else um Sports our Sports and our kids. sports that should be in the TP fund. unless how much it's not going to fit in. there how much a lot how much our kid. plays travel soccer how much um so a. month for a hockey can range anywhere. from 200 to 300 soccer and then soccer. is to 300 you said 200 to 300 depending. on fundraising and then soccer is 100 um.
El and then us in the summer I about. like 120 for three months and what's. yours I don't pay for mine okay and then. we only in the summer well we do indoor. too but I pay like nothing for that yeah. like nothing we've been in in the S I'll. put 350 no I'm going to round it up to. 400 because of all the bll 400 yeah I. have subscriptions too I don't know if. you no you don't you're canceling them. uh probably well I don't know about that.
I do well one of them I can't it's my. kids band instrument so okay I don't. know if that's a subscription how much. is that kind how much is that 35 okay. that would be TP fund but I'm lowering. your a lot in TP huh that's a lot going. besides TP I'm lowering your TP fund to. $150 a month you're just going to have. to figure it out and budget like adults. and then I'm doing the sport at 400 oh. okay sorry I was panicking we're going. to see if it works it probably won't and. you're canceling all the bull.
subscriptions you're canceling the. Netflix all the crap well oh my what my. my kid doesn't have like any form of TV. so they have YouTube they have YouTube. YouTube kids it's free does she have. YouTube in her so I can't watch night. agent anymore the no one knows what that. is oh it's a great show well no one. knows what it is so cuz it's probably. cable TV which means nobody watches no. it's on Netflix. aort subscription for my kid just did. for my kid no it's it's called it's. called live Barn to watch hockey games.
how much uh 22 a month I'll give you. guys $50 for subscriptions and you. figure out where that goes how many. young pets um that are. healthy. three okay right well and one that's not. ours but three are you going to pay for. the one that's not yours no no we don't. pay for that one two no three total that. are ours three total RS the four for pet. insurance okay how much for pet food um. for the big dog across the board give me.
how much let me do math about 120 oh to. 130 a. month I'll do 130 so two don't get food. and the one got too much food cuz I. messed up something anything else that. needs to be in this budget speak. now I can't remember I don't think so do. you have a Starbucks fund sh you $1,210. is what you guys have. left okay so if you guys actually team. this up my method is you guys team this.
up actually get married with your. daughter and. attendance and you guys start working at. this. together that's how I would do it and. that's the method that I'm going to. recommend so removing the mortgage and. the student loans the bad debt that we. are going to collectively pay off this. doesn't mean you need a join chicken. account we're budgeting together though. and we're funneling the money correctly. you have 4. 5,289 of bad debt Jesus Christ yep it's. insane I can't believe you guys have. allowed this but it's because you don't.
know how to act like a adults with your. money. 1,200 I'm giving you your subscription. money and all that Sports money so I'm. not giving you any more fun money and. it's going to take 36 months to pay off. which is three years just over three. years then let's call it so three three. and a half to three and a quarter years. to fully pay off all the bed debt get a. fully funded emergency fund room for. flexibility it's called 4 years this. will be a fouryear process fouryear. process get your pay raises that helps. pay raises you get your pay raises that.
helps work a second job potentially I. don't know there's things you can do but. either way a four your process for DEC. uh over a decade of mistake making it's. actually not the worst so this is the. consequences of your reactions time to. stop being a up actually being an adult. do this budget together unite as a. couple come on it sounds a lot less fun. but it is a lot less fun sorry you don't. get to go Fu other people when you're. with someone I apologize spending a. budget zero out of 10 you guys were.
horrible you spent an insane amount of. money debt no collections which is good. the bad debt is bad combine to you guys. it's not the most horrific but it is. still actually pretty horrific two out. of 10 emergency fund you have cash yes. but that's our everything fund that's. our savings that's our emergency that's. our if we have a trip coming up I don't. like that no there's no trips no but. no there are no trips but no not. voluntary it's his his work pays for it. so we would your work redem for the to.
an extent well I'm not going to drain it. but you're going to take probably 5,000. of it you're going to put it in a high. yield emergency fund and throw $10,000. at this. de he want well he will do that cuz he's. going to man up he's going to be a big. boy I don't want to do it no you don't. but you're going to do what's right for. your household and kid instead of being. a little [ __ ] oh okay so uh that leaves. us with no what if something happens. leaves you $5,000 okay and it leaves you. on the edge of your seat and it leaves.
you to grind this out but guess what. $10,000 that pushes this process 6. months closer yeah it leaves you extra. money left over on a monthly basis. because that $10,000 is going to take. care of one two. three maybe four four loans potentially. four loans which gives you all that. extra minimum monthly payments that. would be going towards them into your. money is snowballs the process you guys. will get start getting out of debt also. her car potential way to do it is H.
never mind we can just pay it off we. we'll continue paying that off. technically we could save a couple. thousand if we downsize but that's okay. so emergency fund with where you are. getting kind of close it's not the worst. but we are going to drain it I'm going. to do a five out of 10 for that. retirement you're behind dramatically do. you have a retirement. um kind of she just started. I have one at another job but I don't. know if they pull it out when you. retirement 2 out of 10 no they don't you. have to either roll it over or cash it.
out if you did how much was in it under. $500 okay two out of 10 real estate that. part's the good part real estate I'm. very happy with um you don't like the. area that part kind of sucks um I'm a. little stringent on my real estate score. not everyone necessarily agrees with. that but for where you are with the. equity position you have I am going to. give you a very strong and happy eight. out of 10 wow cuz there is still. technically debt and risk. there 7 out of 10 I like the eight. better you shouldn't have said wow.
