You raided your kids savings so you. could go on vacation and you don't. regret it. >> he's three, four now. He won't He won't. know. How much was there in your kids. your kids savings? >> Probably. because they thought I was going to pay. him back immediately, but I pay my son. right back. >> Pay your son back. Do you hear that? You're paying a 4-year-old back. Do you. hear that? What the. She said when she quits yelling at me is. when I should worry. Do you think she's. actually sticking around just cuz of the. kids? Potentially. Sure she's not. someone else. >> I wouldn't be surprised.

don't wear sunscreen. Yeah, you're a. >> outside all day. Is the 28 years younger. than me? Yeah, dude, you're going to. you're going to age. >> Oh, yeah. >> Can we talk about that? You're going to. age. Oh, I know. Trust me. I'm in the. sun all day. That's sunscreen. >> What's the city you're from? Biloxi, Mississippi. >> Biloxi, Mississippi. I don't know it. Mississippi not a high cost of living. state by any means, so I'm very curious. to see what kind of income you got. What. do you do for a living? I am a mailman. for the post office. Okay. Freedom. We.
love it. America. Roar roar. >> too bad. Sure, what do you make? Um. about $27 an hour. Mhm. In Biloxi, how does that stretch? How. you feeling? Uh it's not too bad if I. was a little more responsible, but you. know. YOLO. YOLO? Yeah. I just like to live it. live my life. We're going back 10 years. ago. YOLO. Okay. Wow. Sure. Uh. it was big when you were 18. You're. really holding on to those high school. days where you peaked, right? Oh, yeah.
Sorry. Probably actually. I don't know. Uh. Okay. So, what hits your account per paycheck? On average, I'd say about 1,500. Depends on if I work overtime. >> week? Or bi-weekly? 1,500? >> Bi-weekly. Yes, sir. You said if. overtime? How often's overtime? Is that. normal? 1,500's the normal, though. >> It's about average. It's normal. >> Good. Okay. >> It was more consistent, but I actually. recently took myself off the overtime. list. I don't work overtime anymore. Okay. So,
what hits your account now? No overtime? >> Sometimes I'm forced. Sometimes I'm. forced. What was it? >> About 1,800 to 1,900. People want their. mail. Why are you going down? Well, my. wife just left for the military and I. have a 4-year-old. >> How old's your wife? She's 27. >> What does she do? She just rejoined the. military in the army. She was National Guard. >> She can't tell me. She has to go to. training. She just left for training. Sure she's not someone else. >> Oh, yeah. I hope not. She might be.
That is. a common. thing. She comes home in a good mood, I'll look the other way. Why is she doing this? Uh like I love. that. Signing up and serving, great. We. love it. We We love the armed forces. We. need people protecting the United. States. This is good. You really don't. hear them signing up 10 years after when. people usually sign up. >> Well, she was in the National Guard and. then when we had our kids, she got out.
And she says it's because I've put us in. a financial hole, you know. >> So, she signs up for the army? Yeah, well, she could go right back. >> get away from you? >> Well, she could keep her rank and so she. gets paid more. She was serving sushi. and she had some old ladies giving her. crap about yum yum sauce. >> going to go serve in Japan? I hope so. >> I hope so. Cuz I would love to move to Japan. Oh, you're going to follow? We are My kid. and I as soon as she gets stationed. somewhere, we're going to up and move. >> What What the. This is Oh.
When is she stationed? We don't know. Yeah, what if it's Afghanistan? I don't. think we're there anymore. >> No. No. No. No. Not going there. I hope it's. >> So, you won't follow if it is Iraq. I. think we're a little there still. >> I might back out at that point. Uh. marriage or or. No. No. No. Not the marriage. Just the. moving part. >> be there for Is she doing the standard. 3-year cycle? I think she's on for four. now. Wait. Wait. What's the intent of. this? I'm so confused. Again, I still. don't hear people signing up. You're. you're at that age, typically.
>> She was in She had the opportunity to. get back in and keep her rank. So, she. didn't have to start over. >> So, what income is that going to come. with then? She's roughly. >> to trans try to translate to civilian. life? Like I'm just confused. Her plan. is to go in for occupational therapy. assistant. They pay for all her school. and then it can transfer. When she gets. out, she can do it privately civilian. life. >> Yeah, but with the National Guard, did. she not already have school paid for? >> No, it was Well, she would have school. paid for, but they train her. So, she. would have to go to college. If she was.
in the National Guard here, they send. her straight to the training and they. pay her like a salary while she's in the. school. So, instead of having to be in. school and work. and be a weekend warrior on the National. Guard then she'll be in there full-time. And it's in Texas somewhere. I just I. don't know where. But after service? After she wants to transfer to civilian. No, when is she doing the schooling? In. service? She just left a couple weeks. ago. For Yeah, like the like she's in. her service and they pay her to be in. school. >> doing in service? Right now, just.
school. Like that's her whole thing. And then when she gets out she does If. she deploys, it'll be a It'll be a. medical setting. It won't be like she won't be in like a. combat zone. She'll be more like in a. hospital helping people with like rehab. and stuff. Okay. I like that. That's. nice. Yeah. And then it transfers out. >> she felt pushed to go because you [ __ ]. up? >> That That's what she tells me when we. argue about money. She'll tell me. >> maybe she should be here with you, honestly. >> her I'm like, "Are you sure you're not.
trying to catch a break from us, you. know, for a little bit?" But no, she. said. >> Honestly, maybe. >> She might. Yeah, she might. But you. know, uh So, sorry. I've interrupted a. couple times. What What income is she. going to be making then? Um. It should be around 5,500 a month with. her housing allowance. >> What does that kick it? Oh, with housing. allowance. But after it's the housing. allowance is put towards housing, what's. going to be hitting? I think it's around. four. She just left, so we're. >> Okay. And you guys have joint finances. We haven't conjoined yet. So, is that four even going to go to the. household? How How does this going to.
look? So, I'm waiting. >> What's the household? You don't have. joint. I'm confused. >> Well, we kind of just send it back and. forth between each other. She like, you know, she pays the power. bill. It drives to her card. I pay the car payments. She'll pay this. I pay that. >> Who pays rent? Uh I have. >> one. The chunk. >> I I don't have rent. I have a mortgage. Who pays the mortgage? You And you're. going to leave to go be stationed for. four years? Uh if I do, my dad's going. to rent my house for me. Build my equity. for me. Pay the bills. Why Why Why would your. dad do that? >> Until I'm ready. Uh cuz he lives in an.
apartment with his mom right now and. he's looking She has some health issues, so he moved in to help her out. >> But she's She's going to have to go to a. care facility, so he's looking to get an. apartment. He's actually going to move. in with me for a little bit now that. she's gone until we leave and then he'll. take over everything. I don't want to get rid of my house yet. I'm not suggesting so necessarily, but. you're going to be gone for a bit and. you're going to be landlording and. landlording with family especially gets. very awkward very quick. How long have. you guys been together? Six years.
Married for Since. May, June. Yeah, we had a courthouse wedding. >> leaving. Well, yeah, we had to get. married because so I can get all the. military benefits. We didn't want to pay for a wedding, you. know. It's expensive. Yeah. Um okay. Okay. Very Okay. Okay. So, I don't What the finances I'm. looking at today, does that include. hers? No. This is all just. >> do I even incorporate her four into. this? Uh she has no debt.
>> Can I? She has no debt. >> Yeah, but she has accounts including. spending, so I don't know how to. incorporate her 4,000 into this. Especially since you guys aren't joint. Mhm. Yeah. I mean, we I had talked about it. >> Really? No conversation around this? So, I mean, what is your What have you guys. talked about when it comes to her four? She I asked her if she wanted to make it. a joint account before she left and she. was like uh you know. she likes kind of how that setup we have. now kind of works, you know. So. >> For her? To protect her, I have a.
feeling. Is she on the mortgage? Yes, she is. We're both on it. >> you guys get this house? September 2021. It was a little crazy back then. Why? Oh, the housing market? >> Yeah, the housing the housing market was. insane. Okay. I I'm just I'm confused. Is she trying to have any kind of. independence to protect herself? Like. cuz it sounds like you guys got married. before you were ready to get married. You only got it for benefits? Uh we were never really too concerned. with the whole marriage aspect. You.
know, my kid's four. We've been together. a while. It was a 4-year-old. >> Yes, I have a 4-year-old. Okay. So, you. know, I have insurance through my job. It's a little pricey. Insurance is her. biggest concern out of everything. Well, no, it's just one of the perks of her. getting back in. There's a lot of ups. and there's a lot of downs. Yeah, but. you guys getting married but not going. joint. Why doesn't she want to go joint? What has she said? She just says I spend. too much money and I have too much debt. Financially, probably not. Then why are we married? Well, for the. benefits, but you guys aren't ready. I.
mean, we love each other. You got love. isn't everything. Well, finances is one. of the leading causes for divorce in. this country. >> I've heard. She gets on to me. She gets to tell me about that. She gets. on you. What What? Tell me. >> I told her if she had came here with me. today, she'd probably sit on that side. with you cuz she she gets on me. Very good. Now, tell me what that's. actually like. So, like I I My big thing. is eating out. I have a weakness eating. out and so I'll, you know, I'll be on. the I'll get off work. I'll grab me some. McDonald's on the way home, right?
>> Oh, yeah. You spend eating out. >> Oh, yeah. So, like it's like my stress. thing. It's like, oh, McDonald's, Chick-fil-A chills me out, you know? It's kind of stuff like a cigarette. I. get a McDouble, you know? And so, she. And then like I'll come home and she'll. be like, oh, did you go out to eat? And. I'll be like, Mhm. And then she's like, You don't care if. >> to eat. You spend too much damn money. eating out. Well, yeah. Is Is she. cooking or you cooking? How does that. work? I I don't like cooking. >> Who's supposed to cook? Uh we don't have. an oven right now. We have the stove.
top, but we got struck by lightning a. couple months ago and it fried the oven. And so, like the the easy bake oven. >> to cover? No, I don't have any insurance. for stuff like that. Okay. Yeah, that's. usually extra layers. Okay, what do I have a note here though. that I was like, I'm I I Listen, I go in. blind with the God against. And this is. the get-to-know-you section. And I. usually decide whether right now if I. hate you or like you. And I usually like. you, but I'm usually annoyed. So, and. that's normal. But I usually like the.
guest. And I was like, okay, so what's. this episode about? So, I look over my. screen. I have a note from you essentially, I. guess in your application or whatever. You raided your kid's savings so you. could go on vacation and you don't. regret it. >> Yeah. >> What the [ __ ] is that? Because that's. going to make me hate you real quick. No, I understand. I I figured I valued. building memories with him and stuff, taking him experiences. Who's what? >> Raided. Yeah, I figured, you know, I. took him to New York four four times in. the last year, Disney World, the.
Bahamas. >> [ __ ] Houston. >> with her? >> Atlanta. Yeah, she went. What's the raided? Like. I used it all. How much was there in your kid's Your. kid's savings. Your kid's savings. >> My savings for him was probably 8 to. 10,000. What the [ __ ] for your. 4-year-old? >> Yeah, well, I ran it up. >> For. cards and then. >> Ran what up? The. >> Those.
>> pay. I figured you. >> want to pay interest, so let me take. from my kid's future. >> Well, yeah. He's like a. >> What the He's like a 0% loan. So, you owe it back in your mind, which. I get. What was the city then? What was. the savings city then? Uh Capital One. savings account. >> a regular old savings account. Okay, so. it should have been accruing in some. kind of like more education focused. savings account, tax-free, by the way. Yeah, I haven't set one up for him yet. Great. Wonderful. Love that. Being a. parent. Yeah.
>> Uh she doesn't approve. I really didn't. ask for her permission before I did it. I figured he's three, four now. He won't. He won't know. He might one day. But by then I plan to have him paid. back. Yeah, 10,000 in. 14 years? Yeah, hopefully sooner than that. Hopefully sooner than that? Yeah. I'm. going. >> Doesn't sound I'm going to get around to. it. Will you? Because you racked up credit. cards to go on vacation and took from.
his savings. >> And they ran them right back up. And of course you did. Bro, what the. What the actual. So, you did it without asking. Yeah, cuz. I had She has her own account for him. I'm not sure what's in it. Probably. shouldn't know. I said my my my mine for. everything, including for our kid. That's so weird. You guys' dynamic is so. weird. >> I used to put him some to the side back. then, but, you know, as my debt got. higher and higher, my expenses got. higher. I quit doing that. And then I.
was like, oh, I don't want to pay all. this interest. You know, we had a good. time. I think it was worth I think it. was worth it. But this wasn't like you set this aside. I know technically you did it, but it. was for your kid. And that The way I. separate that is it's no longer your. money. Yeah, we just actually I just. took him like 4 weeks ago to New York. again. He had him a. What? He likes to ask to go and we were. going. >> Can he The 4-year-old's like, can we go. to New York right now? >> does say that. Yeah, cuz you've You.
cuz you. >> in his head, yeah. >> Well, yeah. Four times this year. We're. not even in Q3 four yet. Yeah. That's. That's the That's where we like to go. And now he feels some kind of like. entitlement? Yeah, he. >> like in in a way? Not an entitlement, but like when kids ask to go to. McDonald's, he has to go to New York? Yeah, he's always asking, when are we.
going to New York? And then, you know, I. was actually. I was actually supposed to come on. during that time, but I pushed it back. with Lindsey because I was going to New. York. Okay. So, you saved up how much in that. savings account? Originally it was close. to 10,000. >> And how did you save that up? >> Um well, I didn't save it all. A lot of. it was like birthday money from family, friends. A lot of it was mine. A lot of. it wasn't. >> Dude, it wasn't even from you. It wasn't. even from you. It was from family giving. it in his Do they know? Uh yeah, some of.
them. Huh? And what do they think? What. do they possibly think, Guy? This is. insane This is disgusting. >> They They didn't disagree cuz they. thought I was going to pay him back. immediately, but I let my. >> in the savings account? >> pay my son right back. >> could you do that? Pay your son back. Do. you hear that? You're paying a. 4-year-old back. Do you hear that? What the. He's only little for so long. Want to go. out there and build the memories, the. experiences. >> He's a year into forming memories. But. even still, >> a trip to New York once a year is great.
I have great memories with my parents. and we did everything on the cheap. It. was going to a campground in a tent that. was like 20 minutes away. THAT'S WHAT WE. DID AND I have good memories. You don't. have to go balls to the wall four times. in one year plus Orlando and [ __ ]. craziness. >> Yeah, we did go on a 2-week vacation. last year. It's been a right under a. year. Dude, this is insane and I don't. even know if he was able to have. memories at that point. You're going to. have pictures. But again, let's just. pretend you did New York once this year.
Okay, maybe I mean, I would probably. say, yeah, you probably shouldn't, BUT I. WOULDN'T BE FREAKING THE [ __ ] OUT. Four. times in one year, probably five by. year's end. Yeah, well, we had. originally we were just going on a. cruise. And. >> Well, then I was like, you know what? >> Oh, yeah. A vacation once a month? Well, then it was a cruise, but I was like, you know what? I got a few extra days. off. Let's go to Disney since we're. going to be down there anyways. >> US Postal Service, stop giving days off. literally for everyone just so he stops. [ __ ] up his child's life. Yeah. There's a limit to how many people can.
be off. So, if four people are off, I can't take. off. And it's pretty booked the rest of. the. >> many days have you taken off this year? I get like 120 hours up front in. January. And then I get my sick leave on the. side. >> Taking it all? Uh I have about 40 left. >> What are you going to do? Uh 40. >> 40 hours 40 hours left. >> So, a week? It's about a week. I'm going. to try to roll it over, but we may go. see his mom some. Depends on where. >> Some? >> Her His mom. My wife. This. Uh my wife, Oxana. She's a boring. Oh,
yeah. Where is she? She's somewhere in. Texas. I don't know the name of the. town. >> You're in Texas right now and you don't. know where she is. She's about. >> You could be literally close to her. >> She's about 4 hours past Dallas. In what. direction? There There's a West. Fort I. looked at it on a map one time, but I. don't know the name of it. Some military base. How much you guys want to bet it's. Killeen? Could be. >> Real close to us. I'm not sure. She said she. >> You're not going to visit while here. No. I'm going back tonight.
I didn't want to spend money on a hotel. room, so. >> Oh, yes, of course. Yeah, now we're. going to not spend money. Oh, wow. You literally asked Colton to. postpone coming today. because you saw we were moving to New. York. So, you just wanted to go film in. New York with him. Oh, yeah. What is. your obsession with New York? Like I'm. excited to go there, too, but this is. insane. >> ever been to Mississippi and then go. somewhere like New York? You'd understand. It's. >> Well, why would I ever go into. Mississippi? >> Well, that's fair. I understand. >> So, maybe don't be in Mississippi. You.
have that freedom. We got 50 states to. choose from. >> Well, it's so cheap to live there and I. get paid the same. >> cost of living follows. >> No, not for us. Okay, get a better job. >> Yeah, I need one. Oh, maybe maybe not. bucks so lucky. Yeah, I get a raise every 46 weeks. So, I I try to look in the future with that. saying, oh, the pay will be good one. day. Um yeah, I mean, no. People can. have good careers at the Postal Service. and then there's good benefits and. whatnot. But I mean, you're literally. stealing from your child. So, I don't. think that's what I'm caring about. You. stole 10,000 hours that you didn't even.
contribute to your kid so that you can. go on vacation. Yeah, we were actually. talking about when she gets a break in a. few weeks, maybe next month. We were. actually talking about using the um. the money we get from here and going to. New York again. >> covers your travel. That's what I was. looking for. That covers your travel to. get here. Yes, that's why I went so. cheap today so that we could use it to. go back to New York. You're going a. fifth time this year. Yes, I I like to get a Christmas. >> in it, too? My savings? I put a thousand. dollars in there. And that's No, his savings. His savings.
is Oh, it's a zero. So, the reimbursement that is a flat. rate because, you know, some people. we just don't want people to abuse it. It's meant for people like you that are. traveling in to cover the full cost. >> Yes. Figured I'd get some extra. >> to go to New York with it, which by the. way, you're probably going to spend more. money anyway. Yeah, but who else gets a. chance for. >> a severely discounted New York trip? Discounted meaning you're still spending. money that you do not have while you. have not contributed back to your kid's.
savings account. If that. Let's do a little bit of math. Do you. know what the kid. It's so This is so stupid. Why would you. do this? That's so selfish. I would. never. Dude, this is one of the more Can I be. honest? One of the more disgusting. things I think I've seen. If this was. just in the overall market and the. market these days, I mean, we're more. compounding the last few decades like. almost 13%, but I'll do 10%. Let's talk. S&P 500 you know. since it's started since it's. you know until today. don't even don't even put anything else.
in it the kid going up to 18 where he. could use it as a college fund or pull. it pay a little bit of taxes and start a. business or down payment on a house or. you know start his life in a really. strong way so that's going to be in 14. years $10,000 10% that would have been. $40,000 there you go boom that's the. cost of college right there that's the. cost of real good college. I actually. >> $40,000 that's what I borrowed for. college yeah I had a Roth IRA. to grow in the market but I cashed it. out to pay for debt from going to New. York. debt to New YORK WHAT HOW DOES.
EVERYTHING STEM from going to New York. with you I. I I like to travel I like to travel like. it's my thing is experience to New York. yes that's my favorite place to go right. now. >> yeah I mean it's the biggest city in the. country I get it it's I'm sure it's fun. it's dense walk it's a lifestyle shift. and for some reason we don't build other. places like that in the United States I. really don't understand but. no Chicago's never had that Mississippi. every time I come back it's just like. >> anything I mean no offense to. Mississippi but no it's like that's not. the place to. like.
if I'm not mistaken you know Alabama's. not great but don't they usually lead. analytically. compared to Mississippi isn't. Mississippi just like the down. I'd pick Mississippi over Alabama I'm. sure you would patriot of Mississippi. but I like. like I I I don't get it I don't get it. back what what the [ __ ] is a box of. lucky. where where are you from Biloxi. I found it okay it's on the coast. >> yes so there's there's a lighthouse. there's a lighthouse.
wonderful it has a lighthouse. my. >> yeah just looks like a normal little. small town right. >> yeah there's a casino wonderful all. those yeah there's like six or seven of. them all those little towns right there. kind of make a one big city let's talk. about student loans I know it's. something we all avoid talking about but. if your private student loans are. crushing you whyrefi might be exactly. what you need they don't rely on your. credit score alone they look for. borrowers who have the desire and the. ability to repay that is a game changer.

and for all cuz I've been traveling too. but you could be road tripping to. Florida and stuff you can road trip into. New Orleans usually when we road we go. to New Orleans a lot we're actually. going tomorrow for a family day my mom. me another day he is. do you work I do I took off. I took off um how much have you spent on. vacation this year do you even know oh. if I had to add it up I'd probably say. north of 15,000. usually all debt no not all debt you. took $10,000 out for your. yeah well that was for a different.
vacation that was for the one the. two-week vacation. I'm just trying to make memories that's. wonderful I treasure his younger years. >> again I yes I would you're going to. treasure every year you're going to want. to make more memories when he's older. too when he can do more the thing is. what the [ __ ] is the kid doing in New. York anyway um. I push him around in a stroller he like. I. he likes to go play he likes he likes. the buildings he likes to fly on the. airplane. he finds it exciting the fly on the. airplane then fly I'm sure he likes to.
that we eat out too cuz you can eat you. can eat out anywhere you can fly. anywhere there are buildings in other. places Chicago's 10 times cheaper. >> Chicago's actually one of the ones. that's on the future list. we want to do New York during Christmas. vibe you know after maybe after. Thanksgiving. so get that little Christmasy vibe. >> up with him there. yes a early follow up. >> forward to it and we'll see how many. times he's been in New York since then. let me guess it'll be like three more. times by year's end is this right this. is [ __ ] insane. >> I hope so TSP deposit oh yes I took a.
TSP loan TSP is my retirement to pay for. debt from going to New York it all stems. it's. we are not able to have a conversational. topic here without it going to New York. somehow. >> it's kind of been my thing for the last. year and I kind of let it get away from. me. >> why don't you guys just move there if I. could afford to I would but I don't make. you could afford to live in an outer. borough yeah but I want to clean if I'm. going to be in New York I'm going to be. in Manhattan well yeah build up your. career and do that I don't want yeah but. my my pay is set so I I know like you.
would have to switch jobs you'd be in. the private sector. I just I don't know like if I go to New. York I think I don't want to have to. live somewhere like Queens or. the Bronx I want to live nice you know. big apartment up in the sky look out. over Central Park. cuz unless you build an incredible. resume and then switch them but I don't. think you have any incentive to switch. from your current job where you are so. it's like I don't think you're going to. be doing anything and it sounds like. that's kind of the lifestyle you wish.
you had anyway. so you have to sacrifice grind and then. build up to that and you don't get there. by stealing from your child borrowing. buddy. you haven't put anything back I don't. want to [ __ ] hear is there an. interest rate does he does the kid know. about the loan does the kid know about. the loan has he put an interest rate on. it cuz he should cuz right now he's. losing 10% right now he's losing 10%. that it should be going into the market. e getting to about $40,000 by the time. he heads off to college. I'll throw him a little interest there. at the end no no I I don't believe you I.
don't believe you because. because here's the thing you borrow from. your retirement to pay off that build it. all the way back up you do a debt. consolidation or whatever build it all. the way back up take from your kid build. it all the way back up there is no way. in any way whatsoever you'd be able to. give him interest or more if you even. pay back at all because all you're doing. is endlessly trying you're just. quadrupling your debt endlessly cuz you. always transfer somewhere else and then. build up the original debt meaning. you're endlessly doubling how much debt. you have and okay great so payroll um.
was this her payroll too cuz this is. [ __ ] if that's August August was a. unique month it was a three paycheck. month and I got back paid. oh wow okay so even still with 7,800. coming in which normally again we're. about three but okay that's. what was the outflow I spent some. >> everything going out I I put some of it. towards my debt what was the outflow we. all of it what was the outflow I. probably spent. if I had to guess 10,000 so an. incredibly strong $7,854 came in via. income $14,554.
was the outflow. >> 14 we still doubled it somehow you had. an incredible pay month and you doubled. it and you didn't even pay back your. kid well what a joke. >> not realize it was 14,000. that's crazy well oh my goodness so what. have you done what have you done to try. to fix this. by the way I know the answer cuz that's. a leading question as I was typed the. answer so you better [ __ ] tell me. well I used the back pay towards a. little bit of debt what action action um.
I've been working on trying to not eat. out as much that's really my thing it's. not going so well. that's kind of my uh oh you. you know like I you know I drive by. Chick-fil-A or McDonald's you know I'm. from Mississippi you know we're not the. known for our skinniness so I drive by. Chick-fil-A it's like I hear it calling. like you're not fat. >> oh I'm I'm pretty big I'm like 210 lb. I guess stand up and give us a spin I'm. hiding it from the. over here see okay well this is cuz I'm.
fatter. probably I probably wear a bra you hold. it well in your face yeah oh my face is. very round. I used to be really skinny but everyone. did all these eating out and then having. the kid well here's the answer yeah you. weren't the one that got pregnant here's. the answer you begged your friend to. make a budget for you I did he and he. did and I did not apply any of it. >> exactly well it was so many so what the. [ __ ] could what I do I'll tell you of. course it could be using the budgeting. APP HOWEVER HE DOWNLOADED DOLLAR wise as.
well and then when he saw it cost money. which by the way every budgeting app. does cuz every single account you. connect costs us money so we're not. going to literally lose money off of. something that we spent hundreds of. thousands of dollars to build so yes if. you pay a service that saves you. hundreds of dollars a year yes I think. it's fair to give a little bit of money. okay but either way there's a free trial. dollarwise.com. to see if you like it anyway did you. even do that no and then he immediately. deleted it he didn't use the budget that. his friend built for him what the [ __ ]. can I do you are a person that steals.
from your kid that's not something I can. change you are a thief in the night. I just try to take him when I get I want. him to live a have a good childhood you. know. I think I'll pay him back one day we'll. get there. eventually. and what. what what here would suggest that you. would for me to believe you. you spent double WHAT CAME IN DOUBLE. well I want TO DO BETTER OH oh good. >> that's why I'm here shut the [ __ ] up get.
your teeth straight that's why you're. here you want to do better I want to do. a lot of things that doesn't mean I'm. doing them you actually have to do in. the action you have to put in the. behavior you have to put in the. discipline I want to do a lot of things. okay want is nothing. >> it is the action is the actually putting. in the step, putting in a plan. Putting in steps along the way that you. must execute. Well, I tend to do better. with like a deadline, so I figured if I. came on here, maybe it would kick me. into gear, you know? Give me a little I. have I have severely lack discipline,
but if I know there's a follow-up in. like 6 months, I might be more motivated. to do better. Follow-up by end of year. in New York. Well, yeah. Maybe I can make it work. Try to budget in the New York trip. >> that as well. You. Well, good to know. >> But you can also zoom in. Oh, well, that's not as exciting. No, it's not, but there's a deadline. You wanted a. deadline, there it is. Before the end of. the year. Yeah. >> I'm giving you 3 months from now. Yeah.
Another reason I want to do better, you. know, like when we got our back pay a. couple weeks ago, you know, we case mail in the morning, we all talk to each other. Well, some. people are like, "Oh, I'm going on. vacation here." Oh, very good. >> "I'm putting this in this investment. account. I'm buying this." And I'm over. here thinking, "Oh, I I just got to put. it towards debt." And I'm like, you know, why this isn't fun, you know? So, Who put towards that? You're talking. about this put towards that, but he just. literally borrowed from his retirement. Like, what put towards that are we. talking about? Why are you obsessed with. comparing yourself to your coworkers,
especially Mississippi coworkers? >> I just felt left out, you know? Like. everybody's over here getting this extra. money going to have fun, and I've. already had my fun, and now it's time to. pay for it. You know? So, I put some of it towards. that, saved some of the rest to go. towards Don't you want to go live that. life, though? Eventually. >> a long time to be Well, it doesn't have. to, depending on Well, what's your debt. situation? How much debt do you have. outside of the mortgage? If I had to. guess, I'd say around We don't even have. the mortgage. You say there's a mortgage. Well, we didn't have a mortgage. >> get into my account to pull the savings. >> much debt do you have outside of your. mortgage? >> Outside of the mortgage, including cars,
I'd say close to 90,000. Maybe a little more, give or take. >> Well, I have two I have a two car loans. >> Something tells me you probably don't. have all the debt. Oops. The two car. loans, between the two car loans, the. TSP. loan, the other personal loan I got to. pay off debt, and my credit cards, I. probably say I'm around 85. >> Dude, you should be living a good life. You and your wife combined should be. living a good life right now. And now. she's just going away to try to bail out.
the family, which makes no sense, cuz. you've tried to bail yourself out. multiple times with consolidations, borrowing from retirement, all that good. stuff, credit card transfers, taking. from your kid, and then you still built. up all your debt again. So, what's the. point of her even doing this? Because. your behavior hasn't changed. So, if she. goes and makes more money, gets. benefits, actually impact anything, cuz. when more money comes in, you're just. going to spend it, and increase your. debt limits cuz the debt-to-income for. the household looks better. Like, what's. the point of her doing this? She thinks. she's doing a big thing, and she is, but. she doesn't understand that it's. actually not going to fix the root. problem.
Want to know a dirty little secret? And. no, I'm not starting an only. You're not broke because you suck with. money. You just can't see where it's. going. She We were arguing the other. day, and she was telling me like she has. to leave her son and leave us and our. dog to try to help me get out of this. one. >> I I need to. This is like, what the. She sounds like she's just being. traumatized right now. Yeah, she. >> By you. Yeah. >> How often is she down cuz of you?
>> Well, she. she like down mood? Yes. Oh, probably. every day she We argue about something. She's always in a bad mood. I've kind of grown a little used to it, so it doesn't phase me too much, but. you know. She says I stress her out. Wow, and this is this is going to. there's going to be lots of longevity in. this relationship, isn't there? This. really screams Distance makes the heart. grow fonder. Or it makes her realize that she's.
happier. Yeah, she That could happen, too. I hope not, but it could. Why the [ __ ] did she marry? I'm so. confused. If she's literally down every. single day, I feel like she settled, and. she. Come on, be. Okay. This is going to be a brutal question, but try to answer from the bottom of. your heart and from the bottom of your. brain. >> Hit me with it. Do you think she's. actually sticking around just cuz of the. kids? The kid? Potentially. I feel like she does care about me, and. she wants me to do better, but she says.
she's running out of energy. >> Yeah. >> she quits yelling at me is the day that. I should worry. She yells at you every. day. Well, she did. She's been gone for. a couple weeks now. I can't talk to her. as much. It's more her talking to the kid on. FaceTime. Dude, that's crazy. Yeah. That is crazy. The day I'm not. really you, you have to be worried. Meaning she yells at you every day, meaning this relationship's. And she is sticking around just for the.
kid. And I'm not saying she doesn't love. you. She probably cares for you, but. loving someone doesn't mean you're going. to be there forever, cuz that she has to. love herself as well, and she's probably. she's like this relationship's pushing. over the edge, and she might be better. off alone. I I don't want to see you. guys break up, especially with a kid. being in the household. I really don't. I want you to change this and it get. better. But I wouldn't be surprised if. she would be better off right now if you. weren't there. Yeah, she says the same. thing sometimes. She She also gets on to. me for my weight.
>> to all that? >> I Like I said, I kind of just push it. out, you know? I get I get real anxious. about a lot of things, and so when when. we're arguing, I get stressed out. I'm. just like, you know? Yeah. Me and the kid will go. visit my grandparents, we'll go hang. out, we'll go do something, then you. know, let her cool off, come back, she's. in a better mood. Dude, this is the. least Is it This is so unhealthy. Do you. not know how unhealthy that is? Yeah. You know, she's a. Vietnamese, you know, they're a little. feisty, so.
I figured this is just how she is. I know she wants me to do better. It's. just. >> Vietnamese? Is she Was she born here? Yeah, she's from here. Her parents aren't. We met serving sushi together at a. Japanese restaurant. It's like 7 years. ago. It's romantic. And I'm sure she regrets. every day since. Yeah. She might. This kid, she loves him. Yeah, I love him, too. I want to do.
right by him. >> see a picture of her. Of her? Yeah, not the kid. I got pictures of my. dog and my kid. Let me see. But you. don't have pictures of her. I said. Instagram? She doesn't post. She doesn't. do social media very much. You can see. her in my profile picture, though. That was in the Bahamas last year. >> She's a cutie. I don't understand I. don't understand what the. >> She's She's very, very fit. Very into. her fitness. That's why she gets on me. about my weight so much. But you know, I.
eat a lot, so. Have you Do you listen to her about. anything? Like, what the [ __ ] is this dynamic? Like, she probably feels like she's. talking to a brick wall. Yes, she has. said that. I know, I I but you know, I feel. motivated for a couple days, and then. it's just like back to my normal habits, and she just It's like a never-ending. circle. She just gets on me. Dude, but. that's not good. That's not good. And. listen, I'm not saying like every every. time a spouse has an issue with a.
spouse, they're 100% right. Obviously. not. There are things where it's just. like opinion-based, whatnot. But it. sounds like you're not changing. literally anything, and she's definitely. valid in the financial conversation. Well, you know, I. >> You stole from your kid. That is not. something we should get over here. Borrow long-term borrow? >> from a kid is also disgusting. Yeah, I. understand. >> that's disgusting. Yeah. Well, she you know, she left, and you. know, I told you I do a little better. with deadlines, so she's like, "I want. you to get this debt done by the time. you're 30." Cuz we don't know exactly. when we can move to her and everything,
so It's a beautiful family. >> I'm trying to do better. I'm trying to. get done. >> family. Your guys's kid like it's This. is what you know, this is what people. dream of. This is like a beautiful And. you're you know, you're destroying the. whole thing. Yeah, I want to do better. >> the whole thing. We'll put that picture. in the video with their faces either. blurred or not blurred, depending on the. consent that we get after we film. But. this the picture itself, I mean, it's. just like you have something beautiful, and you're destroying it. You're [ __ ]. them over in a selfish, disgusting way.
How much did you spend going out to eat. last month? Mm. $700? $750? Well, last month Well, New York would be. in there. I would say 1,200. $1,214.01. Oh. Oh. Look at me. Yeah. Eating out's my thing. >> That's insane. >> you, when I get anxious, instead of like. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't. vape, I don't Zen, I get like a. McDouble, the little $6 McDouble meal,
some fries, some nugs, Diet Coke, smooth sailing. You have to find other. coping mechanisms, then, if that's the. actual reason. Like Yeah, like I eat my. stress away. It's expensive, but you know, I'm kind. of like addicted to the fast food at. this point. >> That's as clear as day. That's another. thing that you're just you're just like. you have to you have to fight. You have. to just And you can do it cold turkey in. it for a couple weeks. Like it's like. you'll crave it hard. It's not like you.

YOUR NEW MINIMUM MONTHLY PAYMENT? Minimum last time I checked was around I. think it was like 80 bucks. No, it's 160. here. You have. And the balance IS GONE. I I don't. really look. I JUST PAY. >> I'LL CALL IT. You don't look. You just. pay. LET'S FIND OUT. DOUBT. LISTEN. Let's go. Before before the balance went up. Before the balance WENT UP. BEFORE THE. BALANCE went up. Minimum monthly. payments only without doing any. purchasing, which by the way, OH, YOU. DO. This took 28 years to pay off. You.
tell You tell me you're giving your kid. back their. money BY THE THAT WAS GIFTED FROM FAMILY. AND FRIENDS. NOT YOU. YOU'RE TELLING ME. you're paying him back before he's 18, but this takes 28 years, now probably. like 35 years, to pay off if you do not. purchase. And oh, you purchase $1,276.52. of purchases. Wow. I did not realize.
>> MEMORIES GOOD MEMORIES, YOU DICK. I HAVE NEVER had a late fee, though. It gets paid. My payment history is 100% on time. I. have good credit score, just bad debt. You have a decent credit score cuz the. household income is halfway decent, and. your credit line is huge on here. Huge. But the fact that it is going up, you. are halfway to the credit line at 8,000. You This will be 16 before you know it. And I'm sure you've gone pretty darn. close before you done consolidation and. TSP loan and [ __ ] and take it from. your kids.
Yeah, that's usually the one I run up. the most. I've uh paid it down a couple times. >> I'm sure you have, big guy. Oh, I'm sure. you have. $139.39. of interest alone this last month. You. made your minimum only and then. purchased a trillion. dollars. Shoe Station. Oh, yeah. Wonderful. Game Exchange. Yeah, I like. to take my nephew in there, and he'll. buy Pokémon cards and stuff, and Your. nephew. Take your kid. Kid. Take.
He gives me like It's like 10, 12 bucks. usually, and sometimes 20. He'll give me. the cash. >> a profit off him? Cuz this is only. $2.56. >> Oh, well, there's multiple transactions. sometimes. It depends on when we go in. there. We haven't been in a while. Chili's. I love Chili's. >> Chili's. Bamboo. Shoe Station again. >> Hey, the bamboo's for the wife. Got to. keep her happy sometimes. >> She doesn't live with you anymore, and. if she's lucky, she never will again. What is the bamboo? What? Cuz she's. Asian, you racist freak? >> It's like the boba tea stuff with the.
little bubbles in. >> He's racist. I don't drink it. >> Let's talk about how phone carriers. basically rob us. They charge over 100. bucks a month for service that still. drops the second you step into a. basement, and we're just like accepting. it, I guess. Not anymore. Today's. sponsor, Helium Mobile, is proving the. big carriers are a joke. And here's the. deal. Helium Mobile uses nationwide 5G. Plus community-built network. Think of. it like Airbnb or Uber, but for cell. service. Everyday people help power the. network, which means costs stay low.
without sacrificing coverage. And that. is why Helium can offer plans that are. radically affordable. We're talking the. zero plan for free, or an Infinity for. more data, still nowhere near the $100. rip-off from the big guys. And because. they actually reward you for being a. customer, you earn Cloud Points to spend. on gift cards for brands you actually. want. When's the last time Verizon. handed you a Sephora card? Exactly. So, ditch the overpriced nonsense. Head to. the link in the description below to. download the Helium Mobile app and enter. code Caleb. Let's get back to the. episode. You ever try to figure out if.
your insurance covers something? It's. like playing a game of Guess Who, but. every answer is maybe, and you still get. the bill. But today's sponsor, Ro, is. making one part of it way easier. They've got a free tool, yeah, actually. free, called the Insurance Checker. You. just upload your insurance info, and a. few days later, Ro sends you a clear. report that shows you which GLP-1. medications your insurance may cover. That means no guesswork, no endless. phone calls, and no need to Google What. does a formulary mean? And even better,
you don't need to be a Ro member to use. it. And if you do become a Ro member, they walk with you the whole way with. licensed professionals on-demand chat, and a platform that is actually built. for real humans. So, if you're even. thinking about getting started with. treatment, start with this. Over 500,000. people have already used Ro to check. their coverage, and nearly half of Ro. members do have insurance coverage for. those meds. So, go to ro.co/caleb. for your free insurance check. That is. ro.co/caleb.
to see if your insurance covers GLP-1s. for free. And of course, go to. ro.co/safety for box warning and full. safety information about GLP-1. medications. Let's get back to the. episode. Not my thing. >> That's racist. >> I'm a Diet Coke. If I'm drinking. something, it's Diet Coke or water. Not bamboo. Hey, it makes her happy, you know? Yeah, well, she can probably afford it. You're. going and getting in on debt that you. can't. You said she doesn't have debt. You went into a gas station and got some. [ __ ] that you're getting in your.
can, lovely Diet Coke can. I usually get. the fountain one. Dude, this makes no. sense cuz even that even though that is. cheaper than most gas station purchases, you know, most people go in there and. get like a $3, $4 Red Bull. Even that is. more expensive than this. Dude, get on this. Get on this. There's a caffeine version, energy. drink, or there's a hydration drink. version. The thing is, you use that, the. Gamer Supps, whatever flavor you want. There's like a trillion flavors. I'm. sure they probably have a cola flavor, Diet Coke, whatever. I don't know. Get that It is 25 cents a serving. It is.
like making coffee at home instead of. going to Starbucks. Do it. Get it now. Yeah, I'll give it a go. >> a [ __ ] This is as easy as day. It's as. easy as day. And. Okay. How about this? I will get you. some free samples. Everyone in the. audience gets free samples at the link. below. Okay. And 10% off if you decide. to purchase the whole 25 cents a serving. tub. Okay? So, find the flavor you want. Do that instead of this stupid [ __ ]. Stop going to gas stations and getting. cans. Okay. Stop, okay? Sure. It's. ridiculous.
You just can't afford it. Oh, You recently bought an AR-15. Not really thrilled when I see a. blue-eyed dude buying an AR-15. Yeah, it was a gift to myself a few. months ago. I uh. I've been wanting one, you know? All the. crazy stuff. They just get more. expensive every time something crazy. happens. So, I was like, "Ah, let me go. ahead and get it." It's mount It's. mounted on my wall. >> it to yourself. Yeah. Please tell me. you're not gifting the bullets to anyone. soon.
>> Oh, no, no, no. We just go up to range. >> People be writing messages on them these. days. >> No, no, no. We have a range up in the. woods up the road, and we go up there. and shoot. It's free, so. What? Yeah, but the AR-15 and ammo. >> how much was that? Uh it was on sale. It. was like 550 before tax. Bullets I spent. like a 200. >> that to your. kid, you [ __ ] Yeah. You [ __ ]. What is wrong with you? I actually. bought my brother an AR-15, too, at the. same time. I don't know if it's on there. or not, but yeah. We got two at the same. time.
He won He He couldn't do it, and I was. like, "You know what?". >> You can't do it. >> I know. >> You owe your kid money. I know. Looking back at him, like, "Yeah, that. wasn't too smart." But I was feeling. generous, you know? Oh, my. Oh, my. dude, this is insane. Burger King. Burger King. You stopped in. and got some [ __ ] for $5.55. >> It's on my mail route. It's right there. What? Burger King? I really don't like. Burger King, but it's. >> does. >> Speak for yourself, [ __ ].
>> It's Burger King or Papa John's, and. it's It's not that great of options. No, it's not. So, do neither. Pack yourself. a sandwich, you freak. I did recently. learn there's a Popeyes on my route. I. do like Popeyes. I deliver on military base. So, I went. to the other side of the base and. you know, so I'm trying not to go to. Burger King anymore. I don't think anybody really likes. Burger King. >> No. But, the French Toast Sticks before. what, 11:00 are great. I like the little. cinnamon things. Little cinnamon.
The cinnamon is my weakness, okay? Every. time I'm in the. >> You're going to get fat. I'm I'm there. >> You're chunky. You're not like obese. You're definitely overweight. Yeah. >> be obese. Light scale. >> on the medical. like medical term, yeah, I'm morbidly. obese. You're not morbidly obese. >> I should be like 155. I'm like 5'9, 210. lb. I think I have a lot of visceral fat. That's what my wife says. >> 210, you're obese. Yeah. Yeah. I'm a short king. Well, no, you're. an average king as I am 5'9. We are the.
average American male in the United. States. Thank you very much. >> Today, we're finally driving the truck. >> 5'9 is the literal average. Okay? Now, listen here, Mr. Frodo. Don't. get short with me. Also, the average is 10 lb lighter than. you. So, just get there and you'll be. fine. And then you'll actually be. overweight. Yeah, I I. >> You'll go from obese to overweight at. about 200 lb at 5'9. I was 220, but I. took myself off my uh Lexapro. It it dropped me 10 lb. I was on the.
for my anxiety and stuff and I just. didn't want to take anymore, so I. stopped. Is your anxiety worse? >> Oh, yeah. Oh, okay. But, I don't like. that stuff. It makes me feel funny. Sure. >> I'm pretty sure there's a correlation. between that. >> feel funny, you talk to your doctor and. you find one that works with you better. >> I get anxious about taking new medicine. It's it's a whole ordeal. I actually I I. I do get that. I go through that. You. stopped and got a gas station bull [ __ ]. $5.55. Gamer subs. [ __ ] Give your free.
trial. Okay, that one's gas. The next one, I. think. Then Domino's. You stopped in, got some bull [ __ ] Stopped in, got some. bull [ __ ] This makes no sense. This. makes so no sense. Frugal's. But, you're not. Yeah, that's. a grocery store. >> Yeah, but you stopped in and got. something for 13 bucks. I doubt you got. groceries, [ __ ]. >> Yeah, we were making red beans and rice. at my grandpa's house and I needed the. >> The sound. The sound. >> Yeah, I went to see a Skillet concert. You know Skillet? They're from like 1996.
They're still around. It's like a. Christian rock band. Really good. Recommend the show. They put on a great. show. My dad and I went. The Salt Sand Barbecue. Panda Palace. Buffet. 75 bucks. GameStop. It's a. rarity. >> GameStop. >> Bayou View Quick Stop. Well, he went and. got some bull [ __ ] Japanese Express. Popeyes. Well, he found it on his route. Waffle House. Stopped in and got SOME.
BULL [ __ ] GAMER SUBS, [ __ ] 25 cents. a serving. And Jimmy John's. Yeah, I like Jimmy John's. It's better. than the Subway. >> Everything is. There is not one. restaurant that is not better than. Subway. >> Well, I used to have a Subway on my. route and I could eat lunch there for. free. >> that's that's that's terrorism, okay? That's terrorism. >> it was awful. It's horrible. It's the. worst restaurant ever created. I don't. know how literally anyone goes there. interest rate. Yeah. Now, if you do have. health anxiety, the question is, why are. we coping with fast food? Cuz that makes. your health worse and. because being fat. Mhm. Myself, I got about 5 lb on you, okay? I'm I'm. overweight down, but got about five, okay? Got you. Uh thank you. Always. always Yep. Yep. Um but. that being healthy. decreases anxiety. It decreases like. almost every bad mental health thing in.

I try to exercise, I get my heart rate. up and it feels like my heart starts. skipping and I get real anxious and I'm. like, "Nope.". >> that as someone that literally goes. through that, that means that that is. clearly something. So, what happens in. that moment? Uh as, you know, I've I've. gone through like uh. panic disorder therapy for quite a while. and um I can actually recommend for. someone for you if you'd like, but um. he's on insurance, so it works. >> Yeah. Uh. that is clearly you just start freaking.
out about that. You like notice that, then you think about it and then your. mind goes to the worst to the worst. instead of what you should be just. telling yourself is, "Oh, this is. normal. I'm working out. This is not a. bad thing. I'm not in danger." And you. just have to sit through the anxiety and. the anxiety goes away. The only way, unfortunately, to get through a panic. attack, I'll tell you, is to literally. just sit and wait. >> Yeah, it's awful. >> The only way. without medicine. Um there is no running. to go fix it. There is no fast food to. go fix it. The only way to do it is to. sit in and let it go, okay? >> Yeah.
So, work out. Let the heart rate go high. and when you get anxious about it, tell. yourself it's normal and there's nothing. wrong. Yeah, I'll give it a go. You just. have to go through the process and make. sure you take control of your breathing. Yeah. I can get you a guy if you want. Yeah, I can get you a guy. >> good. Uh Keesler Federal Credit. >> It's a Keesler. >> For some reason, Keesler, wonderful. For. some reason, he cannot figure out how to. send this statement over. Dot dot dot. He may be stupid. Yeah, no. I know the. balance. It's 3,000. >> Show me now. You are not a credit card. person. Use the Fizz card debit card. that builds credit. That's all I can. trust you with. Other than that, you. need to close these accounts, man. >> be like 3,500 bucks. That is it. 3,500? It's mainly.
>> Pull the [ __ ] up. It's mainly just. Chick-fil-A and. >> good southern boy. >> insurance. You know, so I've been. trying, you know, pay other things, so I. let the car insurance charge to that. card. I just pay the minimum. I get it. Chick-fil-A's good. Get the grilled. sandwich. It's better. for you. You can take it off the charger. if you need to. It's just it has about. an hour and it'll be dead. $3,574.83. That is what is owed on here. With a minimum.
Should be like 90 something if I had to. guess. >> Well, you couldn't guess the last one, so I don't think I believe you. If you. back up one screen. You back up. And. then scroll down. I think my mortgage just pulled out of. there, too. Yeah, keep going. Yeah. >> This one? >> Yeah, it should say a minimum down there. under the numbers. >> 92. Today. Uh last night. It's just pending. What about your kid? Is he not eating. everything you eat? >> Oh, no, he wanted Chick-fil-A. He loves. the spicy chicken sandwich. >> he likes, though. It doesn't matter what. he wants. It's your kid. Do you want him. to go down that same health situation as. you? >> Yeah, I've thought about that. He's just. he's at that age where he's so picky and. like he'll literally not eat if I don't. get him. You may have to scroll back up. I got a cheap. >> What's the screen recording? Uh I can. add it on there for you real quick if. you want. They um I got a cheap screen put in this.
thing. I think that's what fried the. battery in it. Got a cheap screen put in? >> Yeah, cuz my screen went out like 6. months ago and I went to the guy at. Walmart and he put. >> At Walmart? Not Apple? No, because Apple. is $330 and he. >> AppleCare. No, cuz I don't I don't ever. get AppleCare. Well, maybe you learned. your lesson. It's every day, by the way. There's. State Farm. Chick-fil-A. Um Mississippi. emergency? Oh, yes, I actually ended up. in the emergency room. a few weeks ago. I have real bad. sinusitis. That's what the doctors told. me. My sinuses. >> call me sinusitis? That's what they. called it. So, my sinuses are all. inflamed, but Is this contagious, [ __ ]. >> No. No. No. No. No. It's a it's more of. like a long-term thing. I just have to. deal with it. It's like allergies really. bad. They put me on a bunch of meds and but I. was so short of breath and wheezing. >> So, they made me go to the hospital.
>> a panic attack? No, I'm sure. Okay. I can usually tell the difference. Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A. Well, that's. usually the thing is you can't. That's. why it's on Chick-fil-A is the one I. have. I have that card linked to the. app. >> Chick-fil-A. Delete the app, mother Delete the app. >> Yeah, I think about it. It's like. McDonald's. I've deleted the app. probably 100 times and then when I want. it, I just redownload it. T-Mobile actually downloads it quick, so. you know, if I get off work, I'm like, "Oh, I want it." I deleted it. I just. it's ready by the time I get there.
>> Oh, we love Chick-fil-A more than our. kid. That's great. Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A. >> really use that card. That's why that's. all you see. >> don't really use it. Chick-fil-A every. day. Shut the [ __ ] up. This is insane. Chick-fil-A. Let's let's. see what else is going on here. While we're on here, Yeah, go ahead. Oh, okay. Before you go through those, I'm on the same account as my mom. The. only subscription. >> Google Photos. iCloud Plus. NetShort. The only subscriptions I have on there.

So, I actually. re-downloaded it. >> we fired our whole external team that. essentially built it and we bought them. out and now we bought in like top. players from the budgeting app field. We. stole people and now we're on track to. make the best budgeting app. None of those are going to be mine. It's. just music and the Google Photos for my. that's where I back up all the pictures. of my kid and my dog. And my wife.
Can't forget her. She's last. Oh, okay. And with that Amazon app, there's about. eight of us that use it. So, just a heads up. >> I know? Uh I can tell you which ones are. mine. If you see all them phone cases. that are returned. >> So, you're just buying phone cases. >> Well, I bought a passion hobby. >> decide. I returned them. Got a different one. Um okay. I don't. know what. >> Yeah, that we we all split the Amazon. account to save the money on paying for. the Prime. But, I hear they're talking about. changing that to where it can only go to. one address, so that might mess that up.
I saw it on Facebook the other day. Don't know if it's true. I would not. trust what I see on Facebook. >> Kind of like Netflix how you can only. sign in on Yeah, but that doesn't make. sense. I order things to the office, I. order things to home. That would. >> That's what we said when we were talking. about it in our group chat. It's in my name and I pay for it, but. it's her car. You pay for it? Yes, I pay. both the car payments cuz she pays for. the daycare. That's so weird. $2,632.42. on here. Minimum monthly payment $66. 10 years. minimum monthly payment only without. purchasing. Oh, we purchased. Oh, baby, we purchased $1,341. 40 cents. or $40.61 of interest accrued. That's.

>> And that doesn't matter then cuz if you. were a piece of [ __ ] a long time ago, but you're not now, I also wouldn't. judge. Yeah. I judge on what you're. doing today and what you're doing today. is. 6 years. This is the shortest year years. to pay off a credit card and it's 6. years. I just I I don't even know what's. on that one at this point. >> me you're going to put back in money for. the kids. I will. In what way? We. have barrier islands that block. >> You're really selling it. Yeah. It's. nice. If you're from there, you'd. understand. >> No, Charleston's great. But, Myrtle. Beach. Hell on that island, that's great. Okay,
this is insane. What's the interest rate. on this? I want to say it's close to. 10%. I did a shorter term cuz I was. like, oh I'm going to get this paid off. and do better. >> Yeah, that's right cuz now this is like. you. >> It's like almost $400 a month payment. >> $395.88. a month with a minimum with the balance. being $9,842.53. Yes. I was working a second job just to. pay that. >> Really? What was it? Why did you stop? >> working with my wife at the Japanese. restaurant she used to work at. Oh,
that's what she did right before signing. up? >> Yeah, she was a server. And then uh. Okay, she is taking a big jump, yeah. It. was right across the street from my post. office, so I would just go there after. work some days and work. But, they hired. a couple extra people and so there. weren't that many shifts, so I was. working like once every two or three. weeks, so it wasn't worth the trouble. >> No offense, I wouldn't be getting sushi. from you. Oh, why it I didn't make it. I. just give it to you. I'd be very. disappointed. Yeah. Now, she pulled up. I'd be like, I trust this woman. >> Yeah, I'm just a fat white guy serving. sushi. This is ridiculous, man. And.
yeah, it's all going to this is yeah, the interest is heavy. Okay, uh Ford Maverick. Yes, that's my truck. That's the one I got rid of the Model 3. for. They were having the I got off work. I. was driving to pick up my kid. >> electrics. It's hybrid. It's a gas. I. don't have to plug it up. >> Minimum It's a little truck. Minimum monthly is 550. 550 I pay 550. It's like 525. >> Well, pay 525, [ __ ] You need to.
prioritize where money's going. 525, what's the interest rate on this? I want. to say it's close to 9%. My my uh credit. union See, I got the We had a Honda. Civic that we had for like five years. It had a big electrical issue and it was. like six grand to replace it. So, I was. like I was like, no. >> mean we go get a $32,000 car. Well, you. owe $31,992.93. Well, I would have to put that on debt. like a credit card cuz I didn't have the. money to pay for the repair and it was. more than the car was worth, so I found.
that Model 3. It was only 22 grand. It. was a lower payment. The insurance was. really high, but. after like three weeks I just hated that. car. It was awful. >> small for you. So, I went I passed by. them on the way to get my kid and I saw. they had the Maverick cuz they sell. really fast cuz they're cheaper than. like the big trucks. And I went back and. forth with them for about 4 and 1/2. hours. I ended up getting all of the. money back for the Tesla Dude, come on. What are we talking about here? What do. you think this car's worth? Uh about 28, 29,000. >> 26, by the way. We've done the check.
You owe $31,992.93. with a monthly payment that you can. barely afford, 525. Like, what are we. doing? Yeah, my whole thing was I the Tesla, you. know, the payment was lower, insurance. was higher, so I was like, oh this. payment's higher, but the insurance is. significantly lower. So, it cost me. almost the same each month and then it. had a lifetime it has a lifetime. warranty on it, unlimited miles. And I. got the employee pricing for it. Yeah. AND AGAIN, YOU'RE UNDERWATER BY. 5,000. SO, LIKE,
>> BUT, it's brand new, you know. Yeah. So, it'll always be underwater. What are you You're going to be. It's a depreciating asset. It's just. going to keep going down. Okay. Kessler. Kesler? Kesler. Yeah. Kesler. So, what's. uh. What's this? Wait, this is your. checking. Where's the other car loan? Um. they're One's with Ford Credit. You're. not able to give me the Tesla one? The. Tesla's with Kesler. It's with Kesler. My Maverick is with Ford. Oh, here she. is. Model Y. Yeah. She's a 2021.
Yeah. Model years don't matter as much. on those, but. everyone survived a few years. There is a jump. Okay. $26,975.63. And it's a 6.1% interest rate. Now, there I mean, the minimum to pay is. $578.67. Yeah. now we're over 1,000 hours in. minimum to pay payments when you bring. in three. Yeah, just the two cars. It's. I got a little carried away. >> is worth? Uh I put it in Carvana to see.
if they would buy it cuz she was. leaving. She was like, "If we get rid of. it, we can save the money, put it. towards other debt." And they offered. 19. I think I owe like 27. 27? >> Yeah, so I was Good. I'm not I can't. afford to take that big of a hit. Yes, you can. >> Well, if I had to get a personal loan. >> Yeah. Well, do Yes, do it. Then we focus. on paying that off. We get rid of the. snowball. What do you mean? You just got. You just got 19,000 towards your debt. Of course we're doing that. Yeah. That's. fair. Of course we're doing that. That's. not an option, dude. Yeah, I just don't.
know when she she Is it going to be at. least 4 months, but I don't know when. she'll need her car again. Oh. Well, what did she say? Did she say sell? Well, she was fine with it cuz she was. like, "Okay, we sell it now, we get out. of debt, you move to us later, eventually we'll get something cheaper.". >> she's going to be deployed, anyway. >> Yeah, we don't know. And she was kind of. hesitant to let her car go until we had. a bigger picture. >> we don't yet. I don't know. That's an. option we're holding. Cuz if I have to. turn around buy something right away, and I just took out another personal. loan, it's making me. >> savings. Not your child. Let's go to the. checking. Yeah, I put that in there as.
backup. >> Here we go. You went $1.50 Coke. $0.25 a. serving. Yeah. I don't want to hear it anymore. There's. no more excuses. There's no more excuses. for that kind of Right? >> Mhm.
