Blonde Manipulates Men Instead Of Working | Financial Audit
Hi, my name is Maya. I am 24, based out. of San Antonio, and this is the. financial audit. The financial audit of you. Okay, so. what do you do for a living? I go to school. Okay. That is also what I do for a living. So, I get a benefit called. Chapter 35 from the VA. My mom is a. totally disabled veteran. So, I get a. stipend for all the months that I'm in. school, but then the months that I'm not.
in school, I don't get paid, which is. very nerve-racking coming up on June. Does it also fully cover Is she using. any of the benefits that she's getting. to pay for school, or is it just a. stipend? Oh, so the stipend just goes like. straight to me. But there's no there's no extra benefit. No, it doesn't it doesn't It's supposed. to cover the value of tuition, but it's. what I use to live. a monthly basis? So, only when you're in. school. Okay. Only when I'm in school, yeah. Because I. take classes full-time. So, I'm getting.
How many credit hours? I'm doing 12 right now, but next. semester. full-time by one. Yeah. I'm. I'm No, it's full-time. Just like. barely. full-time. Mhm. I I'm thinking about. taking 16 next semester. It's just. What are you bringing on a monthly. basis? Uh 1488, I think. And that's supposed to also pay for. school? Yeah, that's that's their expectation. Yeah. Okay. What is your tuition. there? What is the cost per credit hour.
per semester? per credit hour. Should I look it up? Don't. Yeah, I don't know the credit. hour cost. Um. You're from San Antonio, so you're in. state, right? Uh yeah, they do in-state tuition. Mhm. All right, let's see. And then you're. paying for school. In-state tuition $8,945. Gosh, the out-of-state costs are. absolutely insanity. Yeah. Yeah. They actually tried charging. me uh out of state at first. Um. but.
So, total estimated cost of attendance. per year. Do you live on campus or off campus? You. have an apartment? Okay, so total cost just for school not. including that is about $21,000 a year. is the estimated cost. Yeah. Does that sound right though? I don't. know. That seems a bit high compared to. what they were saying. It is. It's just a rough estimate. because what I pay at least like for. four. paying? Cuz what? You go to school what? Nine months of the year? Yeah. So, $13,000? You have to be taking out student loans.
then. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. much more sense. Okay. Yeah. No, I'm taking out student. Laugh your way to the bank. Yes. It happens. We all did it. 24, what year. what semester are you in college? Um I'm doing my first sophomore. semester. Okay, did you take time off between. college or did you. gap years. Well, I mean that's okay. I mean that's. fine. Go back to college whenever you. want to go back to college. For some. people it doesn't make sense to go into. college right away cuz you don't know. what you're doing. So, I mean sure. community college is okay cuz you can.
take you can take some gen eds that will. apply to most degrees anyway, but. what were you doing during during those. five years? A lot. A lot. So, That's not an answer. Go ahead. Give a real answer. Okay. So, I dropped out of high school when I was. 17. Sure. Um. Well, that's okay. Yeah. I started working. um around like 19 just cuz I Yeah, no. you do for two years? Partied.
I'm all partied out though. I'm I'm a. tired old lady now. Um but when I was 19. I got a job at Taco Bell and then when I. was. 20 21 I think I got promoted to a. manager there. Um when I was 20 I moved out. I moved in. with uh my long-term boyfriend at the. time. Sure. It did not work out. Classic. Uh yeah. Um so, I moved my friend in and. it's a one-bedroom apartment. Um so, This is where you're still at?
No, not at all. Okay. So, okay. So, I had the bedroom, she had the. living room. It was a horrible living. situation. Um. so, we parted ways after that, but it. was kind of on like a bit of an. emergency. So, I took all my savings and. I bought an RV to live out of. Let's take a moment to talk about. something that affects all of us, our. online security. A lot of people I've. known has had personal information. leaked online since I even just started. this YouTube channel. Let me tell you,
it's scary. But thanks to today's. sponsor, Aura, the internet can be a. safe place for all of us. Aura offers. services trusted by millions making. digital security available to everyone. Think about it. Your address, phone. numbers, financial data, all potentially. up for grabs on the dark web. This opens. the door to stalking issues, identity. theft, and credit card fraud. And I know. I'm not alone when it comes to spam. calls and phishing. Not only are they. just annoying, but they can be. upsetting. Aura identifies data brokers.
selling your personal information and. automates opt-out requests. It protects. sensitive details such as addresses, phone numbers, and financial data from. reaching the dark web, reducing risk of. stalking and identity theft. I don't. know if you saw this, but AT&T recently. revealed that over 72 million customer. records, both existing and former. customers, were leaked to the dark web. They recommend those affected to use. strong passwords, monitor account. activity, and consider credit freezes or. fraud alerts from credit bureaus. Well,
Aura does this all for me. I don't have. to download several apps just because a. company couldn't keep my data secure. If. my info was compromised in the AT&T data. breach, I wouldn't worry because Aura. would already be protecting me. Don't. sacrifice your privacy because it's a. chore to keep up with it. Aura makes it. easy. Visit aura.com/hammer to start. your 2-week free trial or click the link. in the description below. How much in. savings did you have? Like. I want to say like 6,000, but I talked. the RV down to 4,000. It's a 1993.
Fleetwood Flair. I named her Rhiannon. Where is it now? Uh sold. I sold it. Okay. Yeah. For how much? Uh for 6,000. Okay, so. Do I have any of that money now? Okay, where'd the money go then? Living expenses. Okay. You're working 12 credit hours. I worked. 12 credit hours and had a part-time job. Why don't you have a part-time job if. we're blowing through savings and we're. taking on student loans? I'm curious. It's for me like I wanted my primary.
focus to be school. Um. Sure. And then we also say, "Okay, welcome to the reality of the world and. that money needs to exist in order for. us to do things.". So, then again. again, why don't you work at least like. 5 hours a week? It's It's a multitude of things. I will. say it is partially my fault where like. I have a one-track mind, so I'm like, "Okay, school and school only. I'm doing. school." Because if I work like a 5-hour. shift, then I'm like, "Okay, that is. like all my day gone.".
Sure. Absolutely. Dedicated Saturday. Dedicated Saturday. You're a young. college student and you're just making. it so that your future's better. That's. okay. You're not taking classes on a. Saturday. I know you're not. You might. do some homework, but more than anything. due. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, that's. when all my homework's due. Yeah. And I know you could wake up and. do like a coffee shop until like early. from like 5:00 to like noon or. something. The The issue though is that I live in. college town. So, it's very hard to find. jobs. Huh. I wonder if any other college.
students ever found jobs in. where they went to school, which might. be classified as college towns. I think most places where colleges are. are college towns. They might be. Also, this is San Antonio. Where is it. in the middle of nowhere or is it in San. Antonio? It's in San Antonio. Oh, San Antonio, classic college town. Nothing else is there. It's not in the. top 10. It's not in the top 10. population in the United States or. anything. It's only a college town. Okay, sure. Um I I will say for a while I actually.
didn't have a car, either. Um I was. Okay. I was trying to save up money um to get. a car. I wanted to get a car so never in. my entire life. will I ever have I ever financed a car. Cool. I will not. Um my dad has taught me. well. We've always had. Well, I mean, what the. Apparently, that did not translate to. the rest of your life. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, cool. Well, my dad also has credit card. problems, so this is the apple does not. fall far from the tree. Okay, I think the apple fell on the head.
and made us. a little special when it came to. Just a little. Just a little bit. that have have Okay. See, what. immediately uh concerns me. Yeah. is uh we do have credit card debt. We're. going to go through credit card debt. Uh. we have some collections. We have some. things to go through. And then we have. checking accounts. We have no savings. There's just, you know, there's a lot to. go through. And when I hear the I'm not. able to at least dedicate a part of my. time on Saturdays to working. Student loans, sure, you're doing that. Yeah. But with your spending habits and what.
you're doing to do with your money and. time, Yeah. you're essentially a You're just putting. your life on credit cards, dude. You're. just putting your life on credit. You're right. Yeah, it's. Balances on both of the cards went up. Yeah, they did. And they also like have. gone up since. like since since you saw. I'm glad you're able to smile at that. because it makes me want to vomit. Uh smiling is a stress response for me. Yes, it is. Make sure you're giving her. some love cuz I'm the one who has the.
permission to. So, give her some love. She's brave. enough to come on here. And if you if. you need to get yelled at to, you know. make your finances better, you can apply. CalebHammer.com/apply. So, check that out. Now I got to beat you up a little cuz. Yeah, no it's okay. You have done some good. It's just a little bit of Just a Just a. little. Don't give your Don't give yourself too. much credit. It's. uh no, pretty bad. What would you give yourself zero to 10?
Zero being the worst finances, 10 being. the best. Ooh, okay. So. getting a little giddy here, aren't you? I was I was thinking about this uh on. the drive here cuz I you know I was just. jamming listening to music getting stuck. in Austin traffic. Um both Austin and. San Antonio are under constant. construction. So, I have a lot of time. to think. Yes, welcome to cities. Okay, but the. answer to the question. So, I was thinking I was like, "Okay, how actually bad is my financial. situation?" Well, there I've obviously. seen people who are in worse financial. positions who like.
This is why I yell at people. Oh, but. the other people have worse finances so. mine can't be that bad. No, that's why. people get yelled at cuz they need to. know how bad it is. Yeah. intense fingernails. Thank you. They are uh $5 press-ons. Okay, so your financial score. Um financial score, I would give it. I don't want to be too nice to myself. I. can't give myself too much credit. it? Three. Okay, thank you. It's a number. Jeez. Let's um. I don't.
pull that out of you. Quicksilver. Yes. Okay. That was a mistake getting that card. You said the balance went up, so where. is it at now? I would have to check. Well, check. And I'm not going to I need to know your. finances if I'm going to help you. Okay, so. This. This number right here. says uh. 7,327.
It is at 7,494. Why? I I should probably look why. Um. Okay, you look. Let me look. Come here. It's not good. It's not good. Starting the screen recording so we can. put it on screen. We'll delete that all. your. Okay. This is So this is your biggest balance. card and it went up because in the. previous month you started at 7,264. So. you're $200 above that. You made the.
minimum monthly payment, sure, but then. $140 of purchases when the interest. accruing on it is almost $200. Yeah, it's not great. It's not great. No, I know. And it's I. the then? Cuz you recognize it. I kind of girl math myself a little bit. put me. That's not Oh, why am I hearing this? Okay. First of all, that's a meme from. like 2 months ago. So what are you. talking. I know. I'm so behind. Um so I think to. myself I'm like, okay, my minimum. monthly payment, which right there says.
255. So I'm like, okay, I'm already. making the minimum monthly payment. It's. bad. Yeah. No, it's horrible. that literally doesn't bring in any. money other than what's rewarded them. through their mom's service. Yeah, which I very much appreciate my. mom for that. But. uh I think to myself I'm like, okay, so. I already paid the minimum payment on. the card. So I'm like, okay, well, if. I'm paying 200 in, I can pay 200 out and. buy nonsense. why that's stupid. Yeah.
Cuz it's a credit card. I In my mind. a answer. Tell me why it's stupid. Cuz it's real money. Credit cards are. real money. answer is you don't know why it's. stupid. Not necessarily. Okay, then I can educate you. This is. good. If you spend $200 on a card that. you only pay $200 off, what is happening. on that credit card at the same time? Interest. Interest is accruing. So you're not. keeping up with that because. as the interest accrues, your balance is. just going up if you're only putting on. the the money the same amount of money.
that you spent. Mhm. So as the interest accrues, the balance. is only going to go up, which means the. interest is always going to go up, and. the minimum monthly payment's going to. go up. And that's how you [ __ ] up credit cards. You can't spend on a credit card cuz. even with minimum monthly payments, it. takes forever. Minimum monthly payments. on this takes literally 24 years to pay. off, and you pay a total of $24,711. Yeah. Even if you pay an extra up to $311 a. month, still takes 3 years, and you pay. a total of $11,197.
So that's what happens when you go and. spend. [ __ ] $140 on a card that's losing. almost $200 in interest. Yeah. So Petco, that might be something you. have to do for your pets. That's not. something that I'm like, "Oh, no.". I mean, maybe you shouldn't have a pet. Maybe it doesn't make sense with your. finance situation, but you already do. But on a credit card, no. Yeah. Going to this restaurant, does that make. sense? Fabletics, does that make sense? Some salon, does that make sense? Fabletics was accidental.
Cancel Fabletics. charge So. skip the month. Fabletics hit you? Honestly, yeah. Cuz if I don't skip the. month, then they charge me $60, and I. already got a refund once. Yeah, I know. It's dumb. I don't know. Why? What is that? I wanted This happened. is the $60 a month thing from Fabletics? It's Fabletics like VIP or something. like that. No, cancel that. Cancel that. I can't. It's like They make it really. complicated. No, cancel it. Be an adult. Hey, are you. able to take tests at the school you're. at? Yeah. Yeah. I think you can cancel a Fabletics.
subscription. You're right. You're right. Or call them and be like, "Yo, Yeah. Shut the [ __ ] up. It's It's a predatory practice. Like a. lot of subscriptions do it, and they. make it impossibly hard to cancel. And we can either be a professional. victim, or we can actually take care of. it. I prefer to take care of it. Even if. it's hard, dedicate 10 minutes aside and. take care of. It's a fair assessment. Yeah, it. It's a very fair assessment. Uh-huh. If you can make it through your. final exams, I think you can cancel. subscription. Yes, they make it hard.
It's on purpose. Doesn't mean you can't. Yeah. Doesn't mean it might not take a little. extra time, but you put that extra time. towards it. Interest charged on. purchases. Again, salon, you're going to do your hair. That's fine. for my eyebrows. I don't I don't do. anything to my hair. It's going to be like that. This is the first time I've done my. eyebrows in like. you do? I. I got them waxed. Like you can't tell. cuz like natural eyebrows are so in, but. they were like. So in.
Okay. I guess I don't follow the eyebrow. market, but why don't you just take. like I do and go. No, cuz I can't I I can't finesse it. like they can't I. mean? All you take is like the little. thing and you go. And that's it. I used like. Like I'm pretty sure the instructions on. the box is go. I also I mean like getting like an. electric razor is a little more. expensive. as a single purchase when I can just. spend 20 bucks every 2 weeks. That's. sensible. That's. No, that's the stupidest thing I've ever.
heard. You winked at the camera like a. dumb So I'm hoping you're joking. I'm absolutely joking. No, it's really. stupid. Okay, that was hilarious. So what I need. you to do is to go to the store and. literally get one for like 30 bucks. All. you have to do is to shave the unibrow. part and then take the put the little. niblet on there and just run it over. there, run it over there, and then just. clean it up. Look, do I have ugly. eyebrows? Are these hideous? Are these. the end of the world worst? No comment. that bad? Brandon, zoom in on these eyebrows real. quick. I have no comment.
I'll let y'all be the judge of these. eyebrows, but these are I just do the. and I think it works just fine. I. haven't even in a few days, so it's like. I want them sharp, you know? It lasts a. couple weeks and like they say go every. 2 weeks. I used to go every 3 weeks. I I have been able to tell. To be completely honest. Doesn't mean. they look bad. It's not, but I wouldn't. be able to tell. And you're spending 200. You're spending 25 bucks on that? 20. Well, 20. No, 25. tip is required. So. bucks. That's how math works. 20 + 5 25. Okay,
and you're doing that every other week? No, so this is the first time that I did. it in like. But you just winked at the camera like. the dumb. Because I wanted to start doing it like. more often because I I'm. I I'm a little vain. I I like to, you. know, doll up a little bit. Yeah? You can't afford it. So stop. Okay, I'm glad we solved that issue cuz. I mean that's a pretty simple choice. Yeah. I mean you can either afford things or. you can't and you're not having interest. accrue on a card that you are literally. just bringing up $200 every single month.
and it's going to get closer and closer. to that $10,000 max, then what are you. even studying in school? Neuroscience, pre-med. Okay, so you'll make money, but you're. going to go and do a lot of that before. you make it. So does building up a. $10,000 credit card really make sense? How are you going to be paying for on. that through medical school when there's. absolutely zero time for you to go get. another job? How does that make sense? How are you going to take care of this? Where does that make sense? Are you just. going to let it go into collections and. [ __ ] up your credit all the way through. medical school and then [ __ ] up any. potential of getting any kind of credit. after medical school? What's your plan. with that? How does that make sense?
Walk me through the mental the mental. equation that you. are assigning this whole operation going. through medical school while building up. a $10,000 credit card balance and. building up a credit card balance and. allowing other things and allowing other. things to go into collections. What were. you possibly going to do? Walk me. through it. I don't know. I I didn't even really. think. I don't know. So you're not thinking. You're not being an adult. You're not. being mature. No, I I have like no future sight. I'm. going to be honest. Like I never plan. for the future for anything. So a lot of. what I got on my credit card also I feel. like this is worth mentioning. A lot of.
my credit card went actually to living. expenses for a while. Um there was a. time where I was like genuinely unable. to get a job. Why? thing. Can't say. Can you allude? Um I just wasn't allowed. Like. physically not allowed to. go get a job before this time. Okay. Until when? Uh till I moved into my apartment. Okay. So X would not let you work. Huh? X would not let you work. Well, sorry.
We don't need to talk. Like if you don't. want to talk about it we don't need to. talk about it. But um okay. I mean I'm. just having to. But I did get a job when I got my. apartment. So I got my apartment Okay, well, this is a little convoluted. So I. got my apartment in March of last year. It's a super crappy four-bedroom. four-roommate apartment. I love my. roommates. They're great. But it's We. have some issues sometimes. It's okay. They're lovely girls. But yeah, crappy. four-bedroom apartment and for that time.
I didn't have a job. And in April of. last year is when I sold the RV for. $6,000. You're going to. Wait, why didn't you have a job during. that time? Cuz cuz cuz cuz cuz. I was taking classes. a bad excuse. Dude, do you know how many. college students Every college student I. went to school with was working. Are you. special or unique in the fact that you. don't have to work? Do you have two different eye colors? Oh, that's just the look. I was going to. say you're unique in that, but. not unique in. Okay. That's just the ID. Well, everyone else works. Well, are you.
are you special? I. Now look, don't get me wrong. When. you're in medical school, that's a. completely different thing. When you're. in the specialized school or law school. or medical school, yeah, that's going to. be basically impossible to work in. But. Mhm. I mean. Come on, dude. You're an undergrad. I have no excuse. That. Correct. Point blank, I have no excuse. Correct. I I mean I was using my stipend as an. excuse, but that's not an excuse. saying stipend? Stipend, stipend, I don't know. Okay. Words are hard.
I know. It's just I've never heard that. No, I I heard it as stipend when. somebody told me about it. I was like, "Oh, okay." Stipend. That's the correct. way to pronounce it, I think. There you go. That's proper American. So, the uh Alex, obviously excuse the. situation that we don't need to go into. beforehand cuz I'm just taking your word. on that. Fine. But then you moved out. and then you weren't working and you. were putting your debt your putting your. living expense on debt. I was putting my living expense on. doing that though. the stipend. You're. If that makes sense. I was using the. stipend so.
Well, how were you paying for school. then? Student loans? Student loans, yeah. Okay. So, what what's different now? Uh. quite not much. Uh-huh. Yeah. Uh-huh. You're given like a golden opportunity. because you're your mom's sacrificing. and throwing it away with all your bull. I Yeah. Yeah, when you put it like that, it's not great. Well, what How is what I put it? Um and. then you you. the the the the not looking to the. future, I mean, that's as. Yeah. That's as immature as.
It. as as as it gets. Yeah. Like, I just need you to like sit down, like journal once a month and just be. like, "What are my goals? What am I. trying to do? What does it take to get. there?" Literally for like an hour once. a month. Like, that's such a minimal. sacrifice. You never think about the. future? No. No. Really? So, why do you even want to How. That's See, that terrifies me for. someone who thinking to go to med. school. How are you going to go How are. you Why are you going to med school if. you've never thought about your future. cuz that's a beyond massive commitment. So, I.
I wanted to go to college cuz um I was. actually under this notion that my. benefit would cover college and that's. what my mom had told me and that wasn't. the case, but I was already like. enrolled in classes. I was like, "Oh, I. might as well do it. Just go to college. Everybody gets student loans. It's. whatever.". Um. You also received money from other. people, right? Huh? You also received money from other. people, right? Uh only recently. Like I'm going now. Yeah. I'm getting I'm getting help. Um a. close friend of mine is kind of helping.
me financially with like groceries and. stuff because I just I cannot afford it. right now. And they make more money than. me. It is like honestly genuinely really. kind of them and I I'm. you know. just. refusing to work. Doesn't that feel a. little selfish? I'm not. Yeah, it does feel a little selfish. I It's not that I was outwardly refusing. to work though. So, I worked over the. summer. I worked at Six Flags. Yeah. Horrible job by the way. I. throwing this table over if you're not.
working in the summer when you don't. have school. So, it's a damn right. I I worked at Six Flags. I passed out. multiple times on the job. It's not a. fun place to work. drinking water? Uh they wouldn't let me. Yeah, like I I would go run to get water. and they're like no, you have to like. do your job. obviously a different. uh job is what we would look for in that. situation. in. I mean people in your situation in the. service based industry is still that's. like the that's the that's the job.
market that's never caught up. Yeah. I I also. um in October I got a seasonal job at. Lush and I worked there from. mid-October to when they let me go in. January. Um it was just a contract hire. so it was just a seasonal job. Um. and I decided that I didn't want to look. for another job because I thought, you. know, oh I can live on my stipend and. um just pay attention to classes cuz my.
workload for this semester has been. atrocious. I've not had a workload this. heavy in all the semesters that I've. been in school. So, that was part of my. motivation for not getting work. It's a. little selfish. I just wanted to laser. focus on school. Lush is a dangerous place to work as. long as you're not spending money there. I was a little bit. I was. See, there it is. Why? Cuz see, that's. what I knew. That's such an easy place. to just pick up something on the way. out. Why are you spending money there? They're supposed to give you money, not.
you them. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I don't have a good answer. for that. I I see stuff. and I'm like, it looks nice, it smells. good, I might use it. you to sit down once a month and just. journal out your goals and what you're. trying to do. How do you know you want. to go to medical school? Um so, I wanted to go to medical school. um. just honestly a little bit out of spite. Um No, hold on. Hold on. It's a terrible. My sister. she has some issues. I won't like go.
into it, but she has been failed by. neurologists. She's been failed by the. entire like medical system. Okay. And so, my motivation is to become a. better doctor. And like, I know. motivation. So, you do have some goal. I. mean, you have something you've looked. out to. That's a good motivation. Is. that like a career Obviously, that's. something you want to be, but is that a. career path that you want to do? Oh, yeah. I mean, basis. So, when I was when I was younger, um.
when I was like a kid, I really wanted. to like go into medical anyway. Okay. But I. some future looking. So, don't tell me. you can't do that. If TikTok shop $18 on. a card that was. Okay. That's so bad. Yeah. I can explain. Yeah. I didn't think that that was on there. All right. Go ahead. I I see stuff on TikTok and I'm like, that looks like a good product to.
purchase. Okay. You need to delete that app. I want to. I want to. I put a 30-minute timer on it because I. spend so much time on there. Just delete it. Yeah, but like, how am I supposed to. send my friends memes? Um. search Google new memes. I don't know. Google like funny cat video just just. several times a day. It won't like obliterate your like, you. know, ADD or whatever. Like it's not. going to.
I mean. Yeah, I know. Yeah, exactly. I mean, I I've it. It was interesting. It took me a while, but I was uh. um. like. just for a creator like. Mhm. the apparatus not a good place for a. creator to be typically. So bad. Uh cuz every subreddit for a creator. turns into like an anti place. And I. know the vast majority still mean well. It's just the credit karma. Oh, yeah. credit system karma system rewards. behavior that's not good for creators.
And uh I straight up deleted the app. Yeah. And that was hard to do because I wanted. to be engaged with the community. Yeah. deleted it cuz I knew it was bad for my. mental health. Just like this is bad for. your mental health. And I put systems. around me. I mean, there's like there's. good moderators there and everything. And they created good rules. And I. haven't other than a couple like uh. slip-ups I had on like my browser like. this last week. And I took a look and I. made one comment. Naughty. Bad. Yeah. But uh like I straight up deleted the. app. And that's just me taking the.
mature choice of like this is bad for. me. Mhm. for my mental health on a daily basis. So I deleted it. It sucks. I. Cuz I like certain things about it. Yeah. And you like certain things about that, but it's bad for your mental health. So. it's just doing the adult choice to just. delete it. And like we can't be spending. TikTok stupid shop when we're building a. credit card balance and you have zero. income from any work you do. And I don't. know what the. going to happen in 3 years when you go. to medical school and borrow $300,000 a.
year and have no way to bring in any. money whatsoever. Is the stipend going. to be going to you forever for no matter. what for however long or like how's that. working? 36 months that I'm in school. So I. haven't counted so far. And I haven't. done the math on that, but I'm like, "Oh, 36 months, yes.". Yeah. So. So, you going to do your fourth year. your fourth semester eighth eighth and. ninth semester? Right. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and 8 semester. Work. I mean I it.
But you're not now. I know. Okay. Okay. And then Spirit Airlines. where the [ __ ] are you going? I I. Oh, you can afford anywhere. Where are. you going? I went home to visit my family. Oh, okay. Well, that's okay. Where's. home? Uh San Diego. So. So, they're not in San Antonio? My mom is in San Antonio. My dad is in. San Diego. So, pay for his college kid? No. So, here's here's kind of the. sitch. So, Oh, jeez. Okay. In My parents divorced when I was like.
really little. My mom took off for Texas. in 2011. My dad already had custody. So, my dad raised me and my sister alone. Um. so, I you know, grew up with my dad. And. then when I was living in the RV when I. was having that issue, um I reached out. to my mom because I was thinking like. okay, maybe maybe my mom will help me. take me in. And she did. Um she helped. me out for a while, but my dad is also. like super duper poor. So, he's not. going to be able to afford like helping.
me come home. Which is fine. Um I've actually had to help him out a. couple times and throw him a bone a few. times. He's asked me for money. Buddy, you spend $300 more than you. bring in on a monthly basis. I don't. know how you're sending any bone. Yeah. Amazon uh stopping at some kiosks. doesn't make any sense. Oh, another. TikTok shop. Great. $22. Delete that app. It's destroying me. know. It it's worth cuz. 30% interest on here on the $7,490. I thought it was 25%? You.
are incorrect. Oh. It is 30%. Well, Probably was at 25 at some point and. then the rate went up. I mean, rates. went up last year, so. I only have two credit cards, which I. mean like is better than some people. I've seen. no [ __ ] income and your credit card. balance. You're right. You're right. is up to $8,000 with both of these. combined. And you have things in. collections. See, that's that's what. makes me yell. People wonder why I go so. hard into people. It's cuz so many. people come here, they sit here even. though they've seen this show before, even though you know what's happening. And you sit there and you're like, "It's.
not that bad." It's bad. Just because. someone has worse debt or a worse. situation, just because someone's. injecting a needle on a bridge, doesn't. mean your situation's not bad. Yeah. Yeah, it's not. why I yell and get dig into it cuz I. need you to know how bad this is. Cuz if. you don't know how bad it is, what. motivation are you going to have to. change anything? Yeah. What's the balance on here? You said. they both went up. So, what's the. balance on here? I I didn't think it went up that much.
You. That's not funny. This is not funny. Shut the [ __ ] up. response. Yeah. Okay. That's like Okay. It's not great. No. Scape is the response that I always say. That's my stress response. Just rolls off my tongue. Yeah, it's easy to say. It's fun to say. $448.87. up. from $408. Available credit $51. Just kill me now.
Ruin my entire life. Death. The minimum monthly payment of 25. Yep, 25 bucks. Yeah. Don't know how you're. That one I used to pay off in full. Um. You are not a credit card person, girl. at all. Not at all. I should not have. them. No, not the slightest. I'm glad you figured that out. Okay. Yeah, you did it. You solved the solution. Sorry to screen. recording. Uh if you're going to use the card, use.
the Fizz card cuz it's at least geared. towards college students and it's more. of a charge card. So, I've never actually heard of that. Okay, I'll get you set up with it. You've watched the channel. Okay, whatever. All right, so interest being. charged $12.32. there. Can purchases more than the. minimum monthly payment. I'll. Just just [ __ ]. TikTok Shop $25. Wait, I spent another I spent it on that. card? I didn't even know that I spent it on. that card. I can see like like death in your eyes.
If you If your eyes could shoot lasers, they would. Yeah, it's cuz you're [ __ ] burying. your entire life. It's like I care about. your life more than you do and it. destroys me. I'm just kind of. Five Below, Amazon. laughing it off. Yeah, unfortunately laughter doesn't pay. off debt. No, it doesn't, but you know, it. might make me feel better about myself. I don't need you to feel better though. I need you to pay this off. This isn't a. feel-good happy time Teletubbies show,
dude. This is like get your life. together, fix it because you live in the. real world. Unfortunately, for me. Unfortunately for everyone, but the rest. of us we actually. grow up and learn how to deal with it. Yeah. Wait a second. Wait a second. Yes. Brandon, play the thing she said about. the car at the beginning of the episode. Never in my entire life will I ever have. I ever financed a car. Okay. So. So you said. Hold on. Hold on. Never take out debt for cars.
So. So you owe your family for cars instead. Not my family, but somebody very very. close to me. So you owe other humans for money. instead. So you do borrow for cars. So. what the [ __ ]. Son. What the did you tell me at the. beginning? Cuz that was some stupid. The title title is in my name and I am. paying them off. Like I am trying to. collect enough money to just do it all. in one go. It says 3,000 that. owe it to someone else. That is. borrowing for a car. owe them 2,000. That is two That is money. That is.
money. You spend more than $300. Spend. $300. You spend $300 more than you bring. in on a monthly basis and you owe. someone $2,000. You say you never borrow. money for a car. That is owing someone. money and you don't have any net money. left over at the end of the month. So, how are you paying them any money? Also, this says 3,000. So, why is it 1,000. difference? Why would you give us a. different number? cuz I already paid 1,000. How? When? How from what money? Uh tax return.
Oh. Yeah. Okay. Here's my tax return. Um I also paid I'm pretty sure I paid. like. No, hold on. No, it's about a thousand. is what I paid on it. It's It's not a finance. I'm not. financing it. You did to an individual. Through somebody else, yeah, but not. through a bank. I would never finance. through a bank. That's what I meant. So, I stand by what I say. I would never. finance through a bank. What what. What what saddle are you on top of right. now? What What are you talking about? You're right. You're right. Um.
What is the car? What is the car? It is a 2007. BMW 328xi. Oh. Speed. I love that car to bits and. pieces. It's actually worth more than. what I paid for. So, is it is a good. car. Uh it is worth I think I looked on like. Kelley Blue Book. It was like 5,000. No, what types to me. It's pretty. It's a good car.
I have a little I have a little sticker. on the car that says a box permit. I mean, I drive it pretty fast on the. 10. I've got. stick your head out the window and let. that tear off the eyebrow hairs? Oh my gosh. I think I've gotten it up to. miles is on it? Ooh, 169,000. It's not horrible cuz most of. the cars that I've had are like 200,000. plus. So, like But, the first car that I. had was a Honda. Second car was a like. But the first car that I had was a. Honda, second car was a Toyota, so I.
think those are in different ballparks. cuz Hondas and Toyotas will outlive. everyone. How's the condition of the car? Oh, it's it's fine. Okay, no no damage? No. Okay. We're checking the value of it. Okay. Okay. It's a good car. I stand by it. I will say that when I first got You're. going to get so mad. When I first got. the car, the front differential started. crapping out on it. I don't know what that is. The the front differential It. I believe it like. Oh, I can't remember what the front diff.
does, but if the front differential gets. torn apart, it will tear apart the. entire transmission. So I caught it in. time, but what happened was the guy that. owned the car before me loaned it to his. brother. turn independently? I guess so. Uh of one another, okay. Yeah, something like that. But the guy who owned the car, he let. his brother borrow the car for a long. time. He was going to sell it to his. brother, and then his brother just. backed out immediately. Like I guess. like he got another car, backed out. He.
also took the tires with him. so you owe money to your friend. I do, yeah. And there's no like minimum monthly. payment negotiation or anything? There is. But like we're still kind of like. ironing it out. You're How long has this been? When did. you get this car? What the [ __ ] are you. talking about? In December. How are you ironing it out more than a. quarter later? Come on, dude. We're almost done in the first month of. the second quarter of the year. I have Yeah, I just I have. How are you still ironing it out? You know, it's a fantastic question. Lack of maturity, I would say. Yeah, most likely.
Cuz that's been an ongoing thing in this. conversation so far. Yeah. Yeah, it's in good condition, I would. say. The seats aren't ripped, didn't. smell like cigarettes. I mean, the front. diff started to kill itself, but I. caught it in time. I got it towed, and I. got it fixed. did that cost? My friend helped pay for for so I'm. actually not aware of the full number. It's. Your friend who This friend just gives. you everything. You're right. I'm very undeserving of. someone like that. you?
Yeah, there it is. No comment. There it is. Okay, first of all, uh give me a private sale, Noah. The trading value. Well, I want to get. pri- private sale. Oh, I would never trade in a car. Like I. don't mess with dealerships at all. Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, that's. where you get a vehicle when you are. dirt poor. I stand by that. I think everybody should get Craigslist. cars. Okay. Yeah, about 4,000 bucks is the value.
Hey, I I got it for 3,000. That's still, you know, net positive. I hope it lasts you almost 200,000 miles. on a 2007. BMW. Wait, oh my god, Caleb, do you know how. to drive stick? No. Ah! Can we try to get Caleb to drive stick? No, I don't want to. What? I just want to leave the car. I was going to say I could like drive. around cuz it's fun to drive. It's loud. It has a cat delete. Which yeah, the car has a It has no. catalytic converter. Yeah, it's got a cat delete.
It's a good car. You You keep saying that. People think it's noisy, but obviously. cuz of the cat delete. Why don't you get one? It's It's It's not required. everyone else's responsibility to listen. to you drive a piece of. It's like one of the most annoying. things when you're sitting in your own. silence and someone's like, "Hey, I'm. more important than the rest of the. world around me. Let me do my loud. piece of. Those Honda Civics at 3:00 a.m. The. Everyone knows those types of Honda.
Civics. They're like the [ __ ] boxes, but they're. super loud. And so is yours. my Beamer. Yeah. Okay, so what? I don't I like having loud car. Yeah, but that's douchey to everyone. else around you. It's like some people. just want to exist. Yeah. without hearing. Yeah. Yeah, that's fair. I mean, I at least don't drive like. super late at night. on loans cuz I don't have them here. Oh. How much have you borrowed? at financial. Those are my student. loans. Oh, I just don't have the statements. though, but. Mhm, yeah, I don't I didn't know where. to find that.
Guys, we're doing some really cool. things right now, making some extra. shows that I think you should check out. We're making a weekly news show where we. recap financial, economic, and business. news from that week. It's called Your. Week in the Money. We also have a. financial education show called Money. Makes Sense. And if you want to stick to. those financial audits, we have weekly. follow-ups. So, check out these awesome. three channels linked in the description. below. Ah, it doesn't matter. It's not. like you're being made to pay right now. anyway. Yeah, yeah, that's. interest is accruing. It doesn't exist because I don't have to.
do it yet is what my brain thinks. Like. the money's not there. someone who's going to borrow hundreds. of thousands of dollars to go to medical. school. Yeah. Great. Yeah, you're right. Okay, oh. no, 15,232. so far. Gosh, and you get a stipend. That's insane. At this rate, what you're. in the first semester second semester of. your sophomore, right? Uh I'm in the first semester of my. sophomore. So, it's my third semester. right now.
At that rate with eight semesters, dude, you're leaving with 40,618 dollars. For. someone who's getting essentially a. scholarship if you think about it like. that. You're being you're being a. complete dumb. Oh my. Yeah. You're throwing away so much. You're. throwing away your entire life. You're. throwing away your entire financial. life. And why would you do more. semesters? Um. cool credit hours. I did 12 credit hours, they expect like. 15 or not 15 Well, 15 16 credit hours. per semester. So, a summer semester? Um I just.
I wanted to work over the summer. Just. I wanted to use the summer to like get. more money. just work throughout, dude. More hours. in the summer, absolutely, but. I also I didn't I. um I didn't sign up for a summer FAFSA. and like meet that deadline, so I just. I was like, whatever. the blessing of a lifetime and you're. just throwing it away cuz you're not. even fully. cuz you're not even fully using it for. your living expenses. Your living. expenses, your credit card balances are. going up cuz you want to get TikTok shop. stupidity. Dumb.
You're right. I know I'm right. So, I have this this reputable show. It's a good show. Thank you. Sucking up's not going to help, but. No, I'm not trying to suck up. You have collections? I do. Um, it was from a. medical situation. Oh, managements. Yeah. of these were from medical? Yeah. Can I ask what happened? Um. I mean, it's it's a little dark, but I'm. not afraid to say it. up to you. Um, I tried to kill myself.
That is dark. Yeah. I uh. Don't do that. Yeah, I drank like half a bottle of. vodka and I took half a bottle of. ibuprofen, walked 2 miles down the road. to the police station because I started. to regret what I did. I walked to the. police station. The police station thing. Um, and they weren't open. And I called. the suicide hotline and they. like um they did a uh merge call with.
um with 911. Good. Yes. So, they called an ambulance. They gave. me uh the charcoal which tastes. interesting. Um. Is that to like throw up or something? No, it's to. um kind of like buffer the poison, basically. Like it absorbs poison and it. makes it easier to pass through your. body. So, I went to the hospital. Um, they had to like hook me up to like EKGs. and stuff. It was a whole thing. It was.
a lot. And then I got put in a 5150 hold. for. 2 days because they just determined that. I had the big sad and not like not a. danger to myself or others. This was. March of 2022. Okay, 2 years ago. I'm very sad that. happened and I'm very glad you're with. us here today. That's I mean that's. that's a big important thing that you. took the actions necessary after you. went through the attempt and.
sought help and how has your mental. health been? It's it's been improving. Um. seeing a therapist? Um I'm seeing a psychiatrist. Okay, cool. So I I take antidepressants now. We we. stand we stand Prozac. Oh, it's helping. a lot. It is actually like totally. improved my quality of life. whatever helps anyone. Yeah. Yeah, cuz my after that had happened. like my anxiety just like skyrocketed. Like it was uncontrollable. Um there. were days where I couldn't get out of. bed. I couldn't leave the house because. I was so anxious. Like I would have.
panic attacks getting into my car. I'd. have panic attacks getting out of the. door. And it really like. hit like a super high point actually. over last summer and that's kind of. partially why I didn't have a job for. most of the summer is cuz I was so. anxious that I couldn't get out of bed. I couldn't like. Yeah. That's also where my RV sale money. went. So it went. medical bills? to my living expenses. Right. So I had $6,000 from selling the RV. I.
was just curled up in bed all the time. being anxious. Um I was actually doing really well in. school. Like. online only? Um so for the spring semester of last. year it was in person. Um for the fall. semester it was online only. with like you not being able to go. outside? So. I wasn't like as anxious so. it's kind of like up and down. It's kind. of oscillated a little bit. Um. so.
the excitement of being able to go to. school kind of curbed my anxiety a. little bit and I was able to do well in. my classes and, you know, go to school. on campus. Um and then. in May, I started having uh this. particular medical issue that they. refused to assess, um which is also why. I have so many medical bills. Okay, and I know you have some that we. need to go through. I do. Okay, well, as someone who has a panic.
disorder and you know, very anxious, I. have panic attacks, I very much relate. and you know, I've had dark thoughts as. well when I'm in my like worst panic. situation, so I totally relate and I'm. very happy you're with us today and I'm. happy you took the steps necessary and. I'm happy you're seeing a mental health. professional and that's that's really. good. Let's uh change the mood by going. and taking a look at the car that's. going to last for like 5 more miles. before it dies and you're hit with the. $10,000 bill. Don't wish that on me. Don't wish that. on me. Don't wish that. reality. Let's look. All right, let's go.
I have some stuff in the front seat. My. car's dirty. No, it's Taco Bell. The the. silver Beamer. Behold. my beautiful box. It's got a little. sticker here that says take it easy, cowboy. And then it's got a little. sticker here that says tell your cat I. said. And then it has a sticker in the front. that says. pervert. At least she calls it a box. She already. knows. Right over here. It's a little bit of a box, but. Well, listen, it's fine. I just I just.
the the the the thing I don't like is. that you're like. I never borrow money for cars, so. No, I said I don't finance. You did. You and another person. it. I did. And I have absolutely nothing against. this by any means. I just don't like. that you lied about financing it. I'm. asking you right now to pay it off. Just. The friend that has a crush on you and. desperately wants to. Ask me to pay it off as soon as I. is is most of. Wait, should I move these. out of the way? Yes. Okay. And then bring the mic to your face.
again. Mhm. Yeah, check check check. Okay, so two collections, $2,313 and. $1,890. And then your friend Hugo, did the. friend give you more money? So they're paying for your groceries, they also also did this. And then you. also had sugar daddies, correct? I did. This was This was like way in the. past, I will say that. way in the past? I would say like about like a year and a. half, 2 years ago. Is is when that happened. So kind of.
coincides with when I was homeless. I. Wow, okay. was a means to an end. Um. Wait, is the home when you're talking. the RV thing? Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah. Um so I had. I went and like. started trying to get sugar daddies. because, you know, finances were. bad. Um. How do you find them? It's a website. It's like a. like rich daddy.
nolove.com? Something like that, yeah. Um. Interesting. So. So how does it work? They like send you. it for a boobies? app. Um. Okay. You meet up with them, you you go on a. date, and yeah. Yeah. Um. And it goes further? Depending. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Um I. Were you Did you I Were you. Were you uncomfortable with that? What? Like. That, cuz I guess it can be seen as like. a form of prostitution.
It can, yeah. Were you Are you Were you uncomfortable. with that? A little bit. you stopped. That's all I'm saying. I. wouldn't want you to be in a situation. that's dangerous. I did it. Um. Honestly, I did it for my cat. And I. know that's like really dumb, but I. would go to the ends of the earth for my. baby, and I knew that our living. situation that we had, he was in the RV. with me. daddy stuff with the cat? Yeah. Oh, okay. I thought you meant you. stopped for the cat. I'm like. No, not at all. Not at all.
I did it for him. I wanted to make sure. that like he still had, you know, food. and water and that our RV was in good. running condition because when I had the. RV a lot of. being in the RV, it was cheaper than. rent, but not by much. Sure. Maintenance and insurance and gas. and breakdowns and. Yeah, no. I I actually. um I did a lot of repairs myself. Um I. had to jerry-rig the. um. generator many times. Um.
I replaced the carburetor on it and all. that. Yeah. So, you're not doing the sugar daddy. stuff anymore. No. Okay, but your friend's sending you. money and this is just the kindness of. the heart. No expectations. Yeah. No, they're they're just like. this. They've done this for other. people, too. Like other friends, other. close friends. Like I I. Are they enabling you? I would. potentially say yes because you're not. working and you're spending money on. both. I do feel like it's enabling. It's. cuz you're spending money on both. Like. I have your percentages. Your. percentages are. You're right. enabling you and I would like to tell. your friend that to be completely honest.
because I don't think you're learning. any lessons or constructing any good. behavior. So. Yeah. You're right. You're right. You have medical bills? Unknown medical bills. It's a first. It's a Caleb Springer first. Are you kidding me? Glad you're able to laugh your way. through it. Yeah. Yeah. Well, please tell me some of these are. just the same, but sent out. So, I actually had to go to the hospital. multiple times last year. I didn't have. insurance because Texas state insurance. is. bad. I I couldn't get state insurance.
Well, what about like your through your. mom and stuff? Uh no, I don't get that. No. Um I was. actually dropped from health care uh. with my dad when I was 18. I had I got. my own health care, which is like that's. not. why? He wanted me to be independent. Oh, he wanted it. cuz I was going to say. with the Affordable Healthcare, you can. do it through 26. be free. It would have been free. But. Yeah, for you. Yeah. I don't know why he dropped me. He just. dropped me. He was like, "Oh, I can't do. it anymore." I I won't ask.
Um. And so, I'm opening these? Yeah. Okay. Oh, it's going to be so bad. But, I'll explain. were the medical things? What was. happening? So, I get this random scorching searing pain. in my right side. And when you think of. horrible pain in your right side, you. think it might be my appendix exploding. So, I went to the hospital for that. I. got a CT scan. They said that I had. inflammation. And they just sent me home because I. didn't have any insurance.
259 on this one. Continue. Pain happened again and again and again. And if it got to a certain threshold, I. would go to the emergency room because I. didn't want to die. Um. Yeah. So, It's not preferable. I already tried it. once. Ooh, that's a bad joke. Um. Yeah, I like a good dad joke. But, But, I'm also focused on package. opening. Yeah. doesn't have a This one doesn't have a. number, so it's me. I think it should.
But, No, this one's just uh like, "Hey, thanks for being. Thanks for using us.". a customer because hospitals are. businesses. Some are nonprofit, some are businesses, but they do have to pay their employees. I know. It's just it It's more of a. systemic issue in general just, you. know, like. that people have to pay so much for. healthcare. It is very expensive. And you know, like other developed. countries have universal healthcare. We're just very behind. use our medications and their healthcare.
isn't as good. I don't know a lot of the times. Well, yes, it is more for affordable for the. average person. It gets very complicated. when people try to say, "Oh, this one's. better and this one's better for this. reason and this reason." This is way too. simple. It's a beyond complicated thing. that people water down responsibility. irresponsibly to just get across a. political point that doesn't make any. sense. Yeah, well, I mean. $353 on that one. My stance is just cuz like I'm somebody. who's not had like fantastically good.
health. So, I'm like. Trust me, I think. Wouldn't it be great if it was covered. by the taxes that I already pay? Well, you barely pay any taxes, but of. course I would also say that uh someone. that I like. someone that can't afford, like. literally cannot. Yeah. Yes, obviously, but that's why also. you're supposed to be able to stay on. your parents health insurance till 26. But also there is the fact that you also. do not work, so there are some life. choices. So, there's a lot of again, this becomes much more complex. I'm not. saying you shouldn't receive any help. for your situation, but.
It's a whole lot of nuance to the. conversation. And people try to oversimplify it. immediately saying, "Healthcare's free. in other countries. Healthcare's too. expensive in this country.". right. You're right. It's way more complicated. Yeah. Uh. $585. on this one. Ooh. So, what uh what ended up happening in. the medical? So, because I didn't have insurance, it. was just kind of like waiting till I'm. in horrible awful pain again and then. see if something's wrong with me. Bloodwork looks fine, everything looks. fine and there's this kind of joke with. people who have a lot of medical.
conditions. It's like, "Well, your labs. look good. I don't understand what's. wrong with you." Which is exactly the. treatment that I get. $90 on this one? So, I finally got insurance, but it's. very, very expensive. That's actually. where my grocery budget is going is to. pay for this insurance. also. It's almost $400 a month. seen again, you're spending. Yeah. You like you're spending the just about. that much on both of them as well. right. You're right. It's. That's where all my blood money's at. If all if all the money that you were.
going was literally on healthcare and. necessities, you have my full sympathy. and you have me guy giving you a hug and. being sad with you. But there's all But. then there's your behavior of you. spending money. and racking up your debt even further. for. TikTok and eyebrows. So, come on. I have poor impulse control. Yes. Yeah. It was like I'm aware of the problem. $526 on this one. You're Well, no, that's actually kind of worse because. you're already aware, but you haven't. done anything to change it. And that's. worse than me making you aware of your. problem and then you then take actions. to change it. You're already aware, but. you haven't done anything, which is.
worse. Yeah. Yeah. No, that's a good point. Um. And this one's one of the same things. where it's like, "Hey, you did this to. yourself.". of a good story to, you know, the whole. care thing. So, I am paying a lot for. insurance, but I finally got a GI. referral so they can start to figure out. what's going on with me. It Yeah, no, it hurts sitting here right. now. I'm in pain, but I mean. Um I can't take ibuprofen. It's my. Prozac. Oh, okay. Tylenol? Uh I can take Tylenol, but I just I.
don't take pain medications. I just kind. of thug it out. Okay. Yeah. Doesn't bother me too much. It's. fine. with Prozac. That's interesting. Yeah, no, it it can cause upper GI. bleed. That might be the same one. 985 on this one. Uh yes, that is one of. the same ones. Yeah. So, we don't need to write that one. down. Oh, we're still going. Good. So, we've made it halfway through. Oh. I I misheard you and I was like, "900?". Yeah, it is 900. By the way, that uh that talk on the.
health insurance conversation wasn't a. political talk in any way. I just am one. of those annoying [ __ ] who. plays devil's advocate on everything. So, even if you said like, "American. health care is great." I'd play the. devil's advocate on the other side. And. if you said And then if you said, "It's. absolutely terrible." I'd play devil's. advocate on the other side. I'm just. that annoying [ __ ] that everyone. hates. There's a lot of nuance to the. conversation, for sure. God, there are so many. I I've been. long to come out.
I've been collecting these and putting. them in my dresser because I don't want. to look at them. Yeah, that makes them go away. Yeah, yeah. I mean a shredder would be. easier, but. We have one of those. $27.50. on this one, so. Oh, that's not horrible. Yeah, I know. You could have just paid. it with. like. a 16th of the money you spend eating. out. I don't know if I did that math. right. I'm not a public math kind of. guy. I'll take your word for it. Much as I love opening documents. Yeah, there's there's a lot. There's a. lot. Some of them are $91 on this one.
Yeah, some of them I did open just to. make sure that they were medical bills. And then I just didn't look any further. I did not look at um numbers. I'm scrunching these. Ooh. Ooh. This one's bad. $2,683.66. Well, this one is bad as one of my. collections, but it's. Yeah, well, your what? What do you mean. one of your collections? I saw $2,313. and $1,890. Is another collection? Oh, oh, no, no, no, no, that first.
collection that you mentioned, I. actually paid a little bit of it when I. had some money. When? So, it was like a year ago. School reset it. That reset the. activity on it, so. I made a mistake. I made a mistake and I. did not know it was a mistake cuz I. don't have anybody teaching me about. finances until now. Oh, I know. That's every American until. you look into it yourself. It needs to be a class, I feel like. it was, would people pay attention? That's what I'm wondering. That too. Yeah. But. It'd be good as an option for those who. want to listen. It's like home ec. They don't teach home.
ec anymore, but. Do they now? Probably state by state. basis, district by district. yeah. $95 on this one. Okay. Ooh-y. That was the last of them. There's your pile of. Pile of shame. So, you've been to a lot of different. places. Yeah, and I've also bumped into a lot of. doctors, which is another reason why I. want to be a better doctor. them shitty? Um very dismissive, um not really. listening to me and listening to my. pain. Um, I will say I got a lot of male.
doctors and when I got a female doctor, she did more tests. She was like, "Okay, let's see if it's maybe your ovaries or. if it's something else. We'll do, you. know, we'll do an ultrasound. We'll do. like other scans." And she just like was. way more like comprehensive with that. I. think a lot of the doctors that I had. before were very like dismissive. They. just They were like, "Your blood work. looks normal. Just go home.". It's. $9,099.66.
Yeah, that sounds about right. And then they know your name as we. learned earlier, but immediately in our. checking account we can go to Taco Bell. Like, so how often do you go to Taco. Bell? I go a lot. I go a lot. Why? Cuz I just Well, okay. There's multiple reasons and I'm. actually like working on it. So, my Oh. my If my roommates see this, I'm sorry. Our kitchen is filthy. It's filthy. It. is unusable. Clean it.
They don't I have cleaned it so many. times. They don't keep it clean. There's. roaches in the microwave. suck. Clean it. I'm sorry. Roaches in the microwave. All right, I'm sorry. This sucks. They. should They should be responsible. You. should also be an adult and have a. conversation with them. So, what I do. clean it. You work 12 hours and you. don't or you have 12 credit hours and. you. A lot of them are probably gen eds as. well cuz you're only in the for third. semester. Uh, about yeah. Um, so. me, you have time and you don't work. there. instead is I have a little cooktop in my.
room and I cook in my room. I know it. sounds dumb, but it I cook in my room. Uh, sorry. I cook in my room, um, and like I do dishes in my bathroom. sink. I If there is no reason to leave. my room, I don't leave my room. I don't. like talking to people. And like my. roommates are nice girls. You don't like talking. Yeah. As a. I don't. I don't like talking to to my roommates. very much. Like sometimes I just go into.
like like pure goblin mode where I'm. just like in my room and if anybody. needs anything, I kind of like emerge. from the cave. I said one purchase, okay. Cora's Grill, Amazon. Evade Treats. Cora's Grill Oh, Cora's Grill I actually. got beat back for. Okay, I'm just going to read through. these and then if you have anything, you. can tell me at the end. Okay. Vending. some Amtrak thing. Amazon an Apple subscription Einstein's. Goggle Mate. uh.
some meters probably parking, Taco Bell. there again we're getting getting the. runs. Taquitos Taquitos on the show by. the way. You know it just some people. are new. Usually that's just my short change for. going to a gas station. getting some That doesn't matter. And Taquitos is just kind of our inside. thing. Starbucks, Amazon. Amazon, Taco Bell getting the runs, Taquitos, Taquitos, Taquitos. Taquitos, Taco Bell, Taquitos, Taquitos, Forever 21, The Tipsy Crow, The Tipsy.
Crow. That was when I was in San Diego. That. was when I was in San Diego. Um I also. went to Forever 21 because I got. a stain. our own city. I got a stain on my clothes on my skirt. that I was wearing and I had to buy new. pants. Why? Cuz I it was a like really really gross. stain. like red stain Yeah. So I had to I had. to get new pants. like the the eraser thing? No, I was out. Huh? I was out and about. Okay. Yeah, so I was already at the mall so I. just bought new pants and I don't like.
doing it. red stain, I get it. Yeah. The Tipsy Crow, Taquitos, Taquitos. Yeah. Taquitos. Yeah. Shop Japan Tastic. The Tipsy Crow Apple bill. Taquitos Taquitos. that is. parking, Taco Bell. Yeah. Pearson Plus, Kohl's C. Oh, Pearson Plus. That's for my. Smells first. It's expensive. Yeah. What are you What are you smoking? Are you going to show me what you're. smoking?
That thing has nicotine to it. Can I. touch? Huh? Can I see it? What? I've never held a vape before. Yeah. I noticed it a little This is so. Wait, you want to see a trick? Okay. If I can pull it off. Yeah, why don't you pull it in my hair? Dude, I don't have that [ __ ] in here. What even is it? It's It's a vape.
Is it nicotine or. Uh. weed? It's like half nicotine, half no. nicotine, cuz I'm actually trying to. wean myself off of nicotine. Don't blow it in my direction. blow it away. I don't want your [ __ ] cancer in. here. Nasty. This is disgusting. a cigarette. Put that away. Oh, there it is. There's. the flavor. Yeah. Wait, it's Wait a minute. It's uh It's two different flavors. do that? God, so inconsiderate to everyone around. you with your loud car. to see a trick.
Did I even respond? I think you just did. it. I think you gave me an okay. We'd have. to roll that back to see, but. Yeah, if I was a guy, I think I'd be the. biggest douchebag. But thankfully, I'm not. So, I I might. be able to get away with it. were a guy, someone saying okay would. not be considered consent. So, you got. it. Yeah, you're right. You're right. So, listen to what people say next time. before you blow smoke in their face. PayPal, parking, PayPal, Prime Video.
God, it smells so fruity in here now. And I just know that it's. bad stuff. I'm not going to put it in your budget. I hope you can quit. That's so much. easier said than done. I know it's very. addictive. That thing's a brick. I can't. believe it. I'm so glad I got it. of the smaller ones that I've had. Yeah. Very finished. I'm just so. And then parking. Okay. Yeah. So, oh, and then $3 in savings. So. Yes, $3 in savings.
be going to Taco Bell every single day. with $3 in savings. Ha ha ha. Yes. It used to be a penny. I used to have a penny in my savings. It was because I couldn't like have a. zero balance and I needed the money, so. I just put a penny in there. Yeah. 36.3% of your spending goes to housing, $665.50. 6.1 goes to your phone or $111.63. Who's. your provider? Use Helium instead. It's. like 20 bucks a month. Yeah, use Helium. paid off my phone, too, cuz I have one.
of them iPhone 14s. of them iPhone phone 14s, yeah. Well, no, I didn't pay off my phone. I. paid off my Apple Watch. Cuz I got an Apple Watch a few years. ago. I It was a mistake. I don't even. wear it. Like yeah. I do, but. Yeah. I could only find use with it when I was. at the doctor's office. Necessary food. 3.7% or $67.13 at the grocery store. Ooh. I cook on a top stove.
Yeah, but I am getting help with my. groceries, too. So, that's not factored. in. So, he buys? He He helps me get my groceries. Now, how does it work though? Like, where's the cash? Does he send it to. you? Uh no, we just we just go shopping. together. Yeah. So, the dude wants to date, right? That's what you kind of hinted towards. earlier. You think you're leading him. on? It's not very nice. As a fellow dude. I'm not leading him on. We We We've. talked about it. It's behind closed. doors. Both food going out to eat, $163.67, 8.9%.
That's a lot of money. I didn't think it. was that. typically Amazon, 15.5% or $289. Uh $283.51. $30 went to medical and health care or. 1.6% of your spending. 0.4% went to. subscriptions. $235.35. went to. miscellaneous bull. Usually stopping and. getting the taquitos. 12.8% $154.28 went. to other large purchases or 8.4% of the. spending. Oh my gosh. Yeah, the going out to eat Taco Bell and. the grill Starbucks taquitos. I didn't think it was that bad.
Miscellaneous bull. Uh math away Forever 21 Japanese The. Forever 21, that will use for this. situation. Uh there's a news station. KUSI like a little school. that was at the airport. Cuz I got food. at the airport. Uh and I also got a. souvenir for a friend. TikTok shop the kiosk Five Below and so. forth. think is. Large purchases Spirit Airlines. Uh spay neuter for the cat. Yes. I had to. E-textbook and uh sending out money via.
PayPal. Yeah. Yeah. PayPal is for a couple. subscriptions. Actually, I use PayPal. for. um. for I use Discord Nitro, but he uses. Nitro Classic cuz it's $5 a month. Uh. and I have Spotify because I would pass. away without Spotify. Um so for the. cats, um that spay neuter, that was. actually a deposit. So the total was. somewhere like $55, I think. Um. So.
Okay, I'm going to do your budget. Yeah. Y'all got to use my favorite high-yield. savings account where you can get up to. 4.6% on your money plus FDIC insurance. up to $2 million. You can also get up to $300 for signing. up today. It's the personal high-yield. savings account that I use for my money. So don't let your money be losing money. while it's just sitting there. Click in. the link in the description below and. get those bonuses. So what was it that. comes in again? What was it? What was it that comes in again on a. monthly basis? The stipend? 1488.
K. Can't believe you're. You're squandering that like crazy. You. should have said something. know. I. Oh. You're right. I I need to be slapped. Um. I think. It changes because of my electric bill. that gets factored in, but typically. like 625. ish. So that includes utilities? Mhm. Including internet, which is nice. Huh? Renter's insurance. What? Nope. Nope. That's too expensive. That's. It's illegal, girl.
No, no, not at not at my apartment. complex. Yes, it's illegal in Texas. You have to. have renter's insurance. Who said that? The state of Texas. I don't have renter's insurance. They. didn't tell me I needed it. Cuz usually. like your landlord tells you when you. need it. Well, no, they'll tell you to get it, but okay. Well, let me let me fact check. myself. Yeah. Cuz they didn't say that I needed it and. there's nowhere in my lease that says. that I need it cuz I had to read over my. lease cuz I'm trying to break my lease, but I can't break my lease, which means. that I'm stuck with the financial burden. of paying for this apartment until. August. Oh, never mind. It doesn't mandate. I.
was completely wrong. No, that was my. fault. Yeah. Glad I fact checked it. You were confident about it. I was. I swear I could have read it. Maybe that was uh Michigan. California requires it cuz in my. apartment in California I needed to have. renter's insurance. Oh, it's not required by law in. Michigan, so I'm just. dumb. So, okay. Cool. Well, I mean, but. first of all, that's risky cuz like. floods but but but. I live on the third floor. I'm not. worried about floods. Yes. I Water never happens above the third. floor, everyone. There's nothing.
notorious that happens. once a week or so that happens above the. third floor. Never. Gas, vroom vroom, how much for like. driving? Oh my gosh. I fill up So, I actually. don't drive that much. I don't drive as. much as you would think. a number, please. My car takes premium only, so every time. I go to the gas station I spend like 40. to 50, and that's probably. three. Three times a month. Twice or three. times a month. I did stop at Bucky's. before I got here. It's probably So, $112.50.
We'll call it $112. Car insurance? Um so, I pay uh I. is it? I'm sorry. It's 87. Thank you. And the car payment that you've agreed. upon that $2,000 minimum monthly. payment, what is it? Uh 300 per month. Okay. I'm just going to add that to your. minimum monthly debts. Yeah. Medical health care ongoing, psychiatrist, all that good stuff. What does this cost on a monthly basis? So, my psychiatrist is actually through. the school. So, that's free, which is.
fantastic. I love them for that. Yeah, you're probably on a money student. loans too, so is it free? No, but I'm. sure. Um. It's out of pocket right now. Health insurance is 381, I think. It's like 380 ballpark. Um. and that's monthly. I have gone to the. doctor a couple times and those copays. are usually like 20 bucks. How often? Once a month? Probably about cuz we're still trying to. figure out what's going on. Nope. No subscriptions, can't afford it, doesn't make sense. Uh 300 bucks for your groceries.
Mhm. And then you're not going out to eat, but 300 bucks for your groceries. Then. you're uh then I would do $100 for TP. fund, anything else you need to survive, you know, woman necessities and makeup. and toilet paper and. Yeah. other necessities that exist. toilet paper. Well, I I I meant with the women. necessities as its own pocket and then. also toilet paper and stuff. I was. trying to say tampons without going full. like, "Hey, get yourself some tampons, girl." Biological. uh teaching session.
So, the cat. How much on a monthly basis? It's complicated. And I know like I I go. into these tangents. I'm so sorry. I'm. just like this. So, I've had my cat Gonzo for nearly 4 years. now and he has not had any medical. issues until recently. So, that was. expensive. Uh I think I've paid like a thousand. dollars for his medical expenses and. then Milo my second cat he's an 8 month. old kitten that was given to me by my.
roommate because she couldn't take care. of him anymore. He. after he got his neuter they botched it. and I've had to pay $400 now for vet. visits just because of the botched. neuter. I do not because I didn't see any value. in it but now I do. Sounds how insurance works. You don't. see any value in it until you use it. Yeah, yeah. I didn't want to have like. another monthly payment and I considered. it. I like shopped for it but I was like.
oh well like Gonzo doesn't get sick that. much and then Milo came along and then. Milo's vet bills came along and then. Gonzo's vet bills came along and these. cats are a disaster. I just typed and sent me. Like this is. what I'm dealing with. You want to read it aloud for the world? Yeah. I'm trying to focus and this is. We should film an audit where we put an. alcohol tampon in Caleb. and he gets slowly more and more drunk. throughout the episode. So we're boofing.
alcohol. With I mean yeah you don't know what. boofing is? No. Oh it's a way to take drugs through your. People boof. Yeah. Horse tranquilizer. Yeah that's a thing. It apparently gets. through your system faster than. ingestion. Yeah. There's so much to learn about this. world. Yeah. Your phone you're going to are you going.
to switch to Helium? Call it 20 bucks a month. What what's. wrong? 20 bucks a month? Well I mean cuz I have. I have T-Mobile Magenta Max. Oh oh great. I my apartment Wi-Fi sucks. Yeah. I need the 5G. Yeah this uses the same 5G towers. Does it? Yeah it's the major carriers. I will consider it. Cuz 20 bucks a. month, but I don't fully own my phone. yet. I need. But you told me you did. No, I said I I corrected myself and said. I own a watch. is it. What is your monthly cost then. for now? $111.60.
About $112. Yeah, $112. Okay, 300 for groceries. How much for. the cat on a monthly basis without a. [ __ ] story? Litter is like 20 bucks, I think, on a. monthly basis. Um their food, I'm. actually switching their food because. they were allergic to their last food. Give me a number. It's like 50 bucks for their new food. Okay. Probably twice a month, actually. Okay.
And then that's about it, cuz cats are. actually. After all that, that's what we got. Okay. And the vet bills, but those are. surprise. uh bills. Plus $100 for the TP fund yourself. Okay. So, 220 with that combined. 220. for your TP fund. Okay. Debt minimum monthly payments. Ooh. Balance is going up. It's crazy. Debt is one. wild way to leave a dude alone. Trust. me, I get crushes and I crush hard, but. I couldn't imagine. I mean, we're we're best friends.
I'm sure he loves to hear that. Yeah. Okay, so minimum in order to survive is. $2,436. Dios mio. Dios mio indeed, cuz that's a thousand. dollars for more. more than I have. That's awful. Which I mean, like. you're smiling straight through it. Yeah, it's a I guess I stress response. If I If I'm laughing, I'm not crying. Okay. Okay. Yeah. What are you doing? Trying not to cry.
Okay, you doing okay? Yeah. Can I let you know something? Mhm. Okay. Smiling's an interesting response. It's also a response to, you know, not making enough money Called. work. Called. work. Called get out there and make some. money. You have time. I know you have. time. You're doing 12 hours. Most of. them are gen ads. You need to [ __ ]. work. Work at a. I'm laughing because I'm stressed, I. promise.
You're definitely right about that. I I. have looked for jobs and it's hard to. look for jobs right now, but. That's not an an excuse necessarily. It's just that I have to look for jobs. right now. It's not an excuse. I have to. apply for like 50 jobs to maybe get an. interview for two. Okay. Welcome to literally what every. other human has been through. What the. You're not like this special unique. unicorn. not special and unique. That's what. happens to everyone. They have jobs. Yeah. And they've had jobs before this. I've. had jobs before this. Everyone in this. complex has jobs. They've been through.
application processes. There are 300. million people in this country. Many of. them have done the exact same thing. You. can do the exact same thing and I. promise you will be alive at the end of. it. Okay? Yeah. Cool. So do that. Kill me. Buddy, I just need you to work. like 20 hours a week. Okay. 20 hours a week, 15 bucks an hour, and. after taxes you can at least make your. bills. And that's all I want for now. I want more than that. I want you to pay. off the debts. But minimum, I cannot.
have your balances going up as you're. not even halfway through your undergrad. Yeah. And then you're going to borrow $300,000. to go to. medical school. It's I And then I don't. know how you're going to make your. minimum monthly payments on top of this. And you should pay this dude back. immediately. No, no. Yeah, and I've talked to him. about that. And I want to. I know. I'm just Let me rant. Let me. rant. Let me rant. I'm ranting. You've ruined my rant and. now I can't even rant. I'm so sorry. That's really the options. You have to. do that. Or you're just going further. and further and further and further and.
further and further further into debt. And I again, I don't know how you're. paying it when you go to medical school. So, that's what you have to do. If you. could maybe work 25 hours, which is it. really sucks. Work really long days. starting early in the morning at a. service base you know, job or something. Uh stocking shelves even just early. morning till like, you know, late late. afternoon early evening. Saturdays and. Sundays, you know, we can get close to. that. Yeah. And with that. uh you'll be able to do your homework. and studies in the evening. You'll be.
tired. Wah wah, welcome to college. Welcome to adulthood. Not that I want. you to do it, it's just the existence. that has to happen. Mhm. And in that case. if you do that like 25 bucks. uh sorry, 25 hours, you'll have a little. left over. If we have an extra 200 bucks. left over on a monthly basis, we can pay. off the medical. I think we're allowing. it to sit for a second. Yeah, yeah. I would rather pay off the. credit card. and we're paying off the Capital One. within a couple months. And then you're paying off your.
best friend. Yeah. And just. uh in a few months and then the. Quicksilver's going to take longer to. pay off, but you can't spend any more. money on those. You can't spend any more. money on those cards. You cannot build. up the balance. You need to cut your. spending down to zero. With your. necessities are $1,000 more than to. survive. So, you have to budget. You're. going to go through a budgeting program. and track your expenses and go through. the education of it so we can hold your. hand. Um.
Mhm. Usually I like to gift a tech. certification for course careers, but I. can't in this one cuz it doesn't really. make sense. It's like you're I mean. you're going into something completely. different. And I I like what you're. going into and I'm I totally support it. It's just you're doing it in a very. stupid way with your money and life and. not working and spending and. stupid. Yeah. Okay. So, that's what I do. You'll be very. behind in retirement by the time you. graduate medical school, but I need you. to bring in extra $1,250 right now. Easier said than done, but just work.
your on the weekends and maybe one. evening, your slowest evening of the. week, and then just try to get on that. consistent schedule and just bring in. some money like everyone else. I had to. work all throughout college. There I. think there was. uh my first year. My first year was the. only year where I didn't work and I was. like, "I'm. 18, 19. I don't have to work. I can just. put it all on debt." And I started to. learn, you know, that's not how things. go. And then I had to pay rent and all. that stuff, and so I took care of it. Um. so. that's what I would do in your case.
You're going to be hot on retirement. We. can talk about retirement when we get. there. We do our follow-ups on Thursdays. every week on our follow-up channel, so. I look forward to doing that. I I want. to do it at the end of this semester. I. want to I I need to see progress on. this. The balances cannot go up at a. very minimum, and you just see that you. got a job and you're at least putting. effort into this, or at the very least. applying to jobs like it's a full-time. job. You need to apply to jobs. Go into. these service-based things. Meet the. managers. Apply for the jobs. You're. college student. They're looking for on. college campuses where the a lot of them.
are seasonal anyway in terms of the. demand from the consumer base. Like they. look for. the supply of workers based on that as. well. So, you know, on a. semester-by-semester basis, sometimes. the schedules are even built around. that. Like when I worked at Jimmy John's. on campus, they were the schedules were. built out on a consistent weekly. schedule that you signed up for things. around your classes, and then they. changed every semester cuz the majority. students were college students. So, you. know, you try to find something like. that. And then we can talk about. investing in a, you know, quite a few. years, and maybe we can get your maybe I. can contribute to your Moomoo account to.
just get it funded, and we can start. talking about all that stuff, and it. gets exciting, but. right now you just need to bring in. money. You need to start paying this off. slowly. Unfortunately, I think collections and. medicals all just kind of sitting there, but the two credit cards and the. the. uh person, that shit's been paid off. And the student loans, we're going to be. borrowing so much money. But But my minimum requirement for you.
is look for scholarships. Are you. kidding me? I I can't believe you. haven't been doing that. Yeah. trying. There's not many for adult. women. We know your version of trying. Yeah. So, I don't I do not believe that for a. second. No offense. Um I would get pet insurance. That's going to make your budget go up, but it's also going to allow things to. be manageable when big expenses come up. Mhm. And animals love to find ways to get. sick and hurt. They're little. They're little. Okay.
