WHOA: Vance takes CHEAP SHOT at Trump

If you were wondering how weak Trump has. become in just weeks as the result of. his disastrous new war in the Middle. East, this might shed some light on the. situation. So, Politico published a. story today with the headline, "Vance. was skeptical voice in White House on. Iran strikes." So, let's make a few. things absolutely clear. That story does. not get written unless J.D. Vance wants. it to get written. That was very. obviously placed by someone on Vance's. team, recognizing how much of an abject. disaster this war already is, and Vance.

positioning himself for 2028 as the guy. in the room who wanted to avoid getting. sucked into this war. Which might carry. just a bit more weight if only it wasn't. already abundantly clear that J.D. Vance. is not that guy, and instead was among. the voices angling to go bigger in Iran. According to the New York Times from. just a few days ago, few in the. president's inner circle voiced. opposition to military action, even Vice. President J.D. Vance, a long-time. skeptic of American military. intervention in the Middle East, argued.

in a White House situation room meeting. that if the United States was going to. hit Iran, it should go big and go fast, according to people familiar with his. remarks. The reporting went on in more. detail here. For his part, Mr. Vance, who appeared to personally lean against. military attacks, argued that a limited. strike was a mistake. If the United. States was going to hit Iran, he told. the group, it should go big and go fast. A spokesman for Mr. Vance declined to. comment. Before the meeting, Mr. Trump. appeared to have been leaning toward a. strategy of a smaller strike followed by. a bigger one if Iran did not give up its.

nuclear enrichment, but Mr. Vance's. argument seemed to resonate. And in the. coming days, more officials moved toward. the idea that the United States and. Israel should jointly take aim not just. at the Iranian missile and nuclear. programs, but also at the leadership. itself. Go big and go fast. Yeah, doesn't exactly sound like the skeptical. voice that Vance is making himself out. to be. Unless, of course, he wants to. have his cake and eat it, too. Get all. the credit for being up Trump's ass, but. also pretend like he's some dove when it. comes to war in the Middle East. That's. not only an indication of how two-faced.

J.D. Vance is, but also of how much. contempt he has for Americans, that we. would all be too collectively dumb to. see what he's doing. In fact, Vance was. asked about this point-blank today. Uh. what did you advise the president. initially as he considered his actions. in Iran, and what are you urging him to. do now, especially with Americans seeing. higher prices at the pump and some of. the fallout from that across the. economy? Do you express any concerns. like those you've expressed in the past.

on the possibility of these extended. wars? Well, Bill, I I appreciate the question. I know you guys have to ask it, but but. but imagine the situation. We're We're. in the situation room. where you can't even take your, you. know, iPod in there or your your. AirPods, I guess what they're called. You can't take your iPhone in there. You. can't take anything in there because it. is the most classified space anywhere in. the world, and I sit there with Pete. Hegseth and General Keane and Marco. Rubio and the entire White House team, and the president and I and the entire.

senior team are talking about the. options and about what we need to do and. about how we must best protect the. American people. I hate to disappoint. you, but I'm not going to show up here. and in front of God and everybody else. tell you exactly what I said in that. classified room, partially cuz I don't. want to go to prison, and partially because I think it's. important for the president of the. United States to be able to talk to his. advisers without those advisers running. their mouths to the American media. I'm sorry, but what a coward.

Can't wait to run to Politico to place a. story, but when he's asked point-blank. for his position here, suddenly he's a. loyal foot soldier. That's right, J.D. Vance is far, far too loyal to stab. Trump in the front, and how dare these. reporters even suggest as much. He. merely waits until Trump turns around to. stab him in the back, which of course. should be no surprise. This is a guy who. stands for absolutely nothing other than. unbridled ambition and desperation for. power and nothing more. Somebody who. just a few years ago called Donald Trump.

America's Hitler and said stuff like. this. And so one of the takeaways is not. just that the Republican Party base is. somehow fundamentally flawed in a way. that's unique in in American political. history, it's that Trump is a really bad. candidate and frankly I think a really. bad person. In fact, even Bret Baier of Fox News. called J.D. Vance out for his. shamelessness. And I know you've been. asked about this before about past. comments that you've made about Donald. Trump. You've said I've never I'm a.

never Trump guy, never liked him, terrible candidate, idiot if you voted. for him, might be America's Hitler, might be a cynical a-hole, cultural. heroin, noxious, and reprehensible. Those are things that the left is going. to come after you and they're probably. going to be put in ads should you be. chosen as the VP pick. How do you deal. with them now? Yeah, well I think the. simple answer is you've got to respect. the American people enough to just level. with them. Look, I was wrong about. Donald Trump. I didn't think he was. going to be a good president, Bret. He. was a great president and it's one of.

the reasons why I'm working so hard to. make sure he gets a second term. I think. you should when you when you're wrong. about something you should change your. mind and be honest with people about. that fact. And I actually think again. whether this is running as his running. mate or running and supporting him as. United States Senator, Bret, I think it. actually presents a real opportunity to. talk to the American people because a. lot of people didn't think Trump was. going to be a good president and a lot. of people were happy to be proven wrong. And I think it presents an opportunity. for me to make the case to the American. people that look, we have two very.

different sets of results. Four years of. Joe Biden, four years of Donald Trump. We know the Trump record is one of. success, the Biden record is one of. failure. I came around to Donald Trump. and I think that a lot of Americans will. do the exact same thing. >> Blah, blah Vance saw an opportunity to. advance his own interest and he jumped. on the train. This guy stands for. nothing other than his own shameless. pursuit of power. In other words, this. administration is exactly the correct. home for somebody like that. Which is. why, now that Donald Trump's popularity.

is plummeting, he is distancing himself. It's not just with that political. headline, either. Check out what he said. today. And the reason why gas prices are. where they are today is because of. Donald Trump's work to get them lower. because in the Biden administration, they were crazy high. The gas prices we're seeing today are. nothing like what we saw at the peak of. the Biden administration because the. president has set us up for energy. dominance. And one of the lessons we all. have to take away, frankly, every time.

we get involved in anything overseas, whether it's in the Middle East or. anywhere else, the thing we got to take. away from it is energy dominance and. energy independence. Rely on our own. people, rely on our own energy. Quote, "The reason why gas prices are where. they are today is because of Donald. Trump." Yeah, I'm sure that's going to. age well, that clip right there. No way. that that quote could possibly backfire. on Donald Trump. After all, it's not. like that's infuriating people across. the United States or anything. He was.

bragging the other day on news, uh 190 or 290 somewhere. It's 550 a. gallon. I miss my Uncle Joe. I was. balling then. Now, I couldn't even tell you. I couldn't. even show you $5 in my pocket. I'm a. fool, I guess. What Why so, Lindsey? Well, the prices were down slightly for a. short period of time, but currently, where I'm at, prices have jumped a dollar. So, for.

someone like me who's a working person, I mean, yeah, it's good for him to say. who makes. you know, a million dollar a day or. whatever an hour, but on the other hand, it makes a very big difference to. someone like me who has to fill in the. gas tank every single week and go to. work. It's not great. I drive like 300. miles a week, so it's not like, you. know, it's a little bit much, for sure. You know. >> And you can feel that difference of that. 40 cents. Oh, yeah, definitely. This car. is pretty cheap on gas, you know, it's. normally pretty cheap on gas when it's.

reasonable prices, but now it's just. like, you know, it's getting up there. Do you feel that difference of like 40. cents a gallon? You can definitely feel. it, you know, along with everything. else, especially when you travel a lot. and transportation, like your car is. your main, you know, method of. transportation, you know, you have to. fill up to get to where you're going. You got to get to work, you got to get. to those things that make you the money, but also, you know, it's also going out. as quickly as it's coming in. And sadly. for Trump, there doesn't seem to be. better news on the horizon. Oil prices, when they rise $10, that gives you and.

your household $450. more to pay over the course of the year. So, if oil is sustained at a $10. increase, that's $450. more. So, that would mean if we stay at. this $90 range that we're at right now, oil was $60 before, you're looking at a. $1,300. increase for you and your family. Now, this SPR release that you just.

mentioned, that could help, but remember. the last time that we did this in 2022, about half as much, gas prices only fell. around 17 cents over the course of 4. months. So, you double that, we might be. looking at over the course of 4 months, you know, maybe we shave 40 cents off. the cost of a gallon of gas. That's. still not going to help all that much, especially if oil stays at this rate. So, are you really surprised that J.D. Vance is backing away from dear leader?

Are you surprised that he's sowing the. seeds that he's the good guy here? Are. you surprised that he's placing little. stories to try and absolve himself of. responsibility for the very thing that. he is partially responsible for. The. thing about having a viper pit of a. White House is that it's composed of. vipers. And. well, I think Donald Trump had some. wisdom to share on that topic. You knew. damn well I was a snake before you took. me in. >> [music].
