WHOA: Lauren Boebert LOSES IT over Trump’s latest announcement

When you've lost Lauren Boebert, you. might have lost the plot. >> I will not vote for a war supplemental. No, I am a no. I've already told. leadership I am a no on any war. supplementals. I am so tired of spending. money elsewhere. I I'm tired of the. industrial war complex getting all of. our hard-earned tax dollars. I have. folks in Colorado who can't afford to. live. We need America first policies right now. and that. I I'm I'm not doing that. >> That was Boebert putting her foot down. ahead of the latest move by the Pentagon.

to request a staggering $200 billion in. supplemental funding for the Iran war. Keep in mind that that is on top of the. trillion dollars already allocated to. the Defense Department, a record amount. of funding. And I want to be clear, Donald Trump clearly supports this. He. was asked for his response just days ago. and instead of rebuking the Pentagon's. request, he said this. >> Mr. President, the war is almost over. Why is the Pentagon going to ask. Congress for an additional $200 billion? >> Well, we're asking for a lot of reasons.

beyond even. what we're talking about in Iran. When. this is a very. volatile world and the military. equipment, the of the some of this. weaponry is unthinkable. You don't even. want to know about it. Oh, you could end. this thing in 2 seconds if you wanted. to, but but uh. we are we are being very judicious, but. we want to do don't forget Biden gave. away I rebuilt the military in my first. time. Biden gave away so stupidly to.

Afghanistan a lot. He He didn't want to. move it. He was too lazy, too stupid to. move it. But it was a very small amount. It was a lot, but it was very small. relative to what I purchased and what I. built. Uh we want to have a good we want to. have uh vast amounts of uh ammunition, which we have right now. We have a lot. of ammunition, but uh it was taken down. by giving so much to Ukraine. >> See, $200 billion is very judicious. And. in fact, we should be thanking him that.

it's not even more of our hard-earned. tax dollars getting pumped into bombing. Middle Eastern countries. Now, so as not to bury the lead here, I. want to be clear about what's happening. Grocery prices are higher, utility bills. are higher, education is underfunded, infrastructure is underfunded. All. things that by the way, Donald Trump. swore up and down he was intimately. familiar with. He pointed to those high. costs and admitted that those were. issues in large part why he won the. election. >> But likewise, an old-fashioned term that.

we use groceries. I used it in the. campaign. It's such an old-fashioned. term, but a beautiful term, groceries. It sort of says a bag with different. things in it. Groceries went through the. roof. And I campaigned on that. I talked. about the word groceries for a lot. >> In other words, he was well aware. And. yet, since he's actually taken power, since he's put himself in a position to. do something about the things he. complained about, think about what he. and his party have actually done to. solve those issues that they ran on. The. Republicans have gutted Medicaid for 17. million Americans. Republicans have.

gutted ACA subsidies for 24 million. Americans. Republicans have gutted food. assistance for millions of Americans. Republicans have enabled a trade war. that has spiked the cost of everything. for Americans. Republicans have. green-lit a war that sent the cost of. oil surging that Americans pay for. And. now, as if all of that wasn't bad. enough, they are facing down the barrel. of another $200 billion for a war that. by the way, Trump swore up and down he. would never let happen. >> I'm not going to start a war. I'm going. to stop wars.

No more wars, no more disruptions. We. will have prosperity and we will have. peace. Under Trump, we will have no more. wars, no more disruptions, and we will. have prosperity and peace for all. I am. the candidate of peace. I am peace. >> So, not only did he break that promise. with no rationale even given, but he's. broken literally every promise that went. along with it. He swore that he would be. an America first president and all. that's happened since he's taken over. America is that Americans' lives have. become more expensive and the programs.

that Americans rely on have become more. out of reach. And yet all the while, that's apparently a blank check to fund. endless bombs in Iran. I asked Pod Save. America co-host Tommy Vietor about the. expected duration of this war now that. Trump has already squeezed the. toothpaste out of the tube. His answer. didn't exactly bode well for those. hoping for a quick and clean exit. If. Trump extracts the United States right. now, what does that look like best case. scenario and worst case scenario? And I. ask that because it doesn't feel like. even if we ended this today, it it would.

be as neat as I think he anticipates. Like we're now seeing Iran bomb other. countries in the region and those. countries begin to retaliate. So it. feels like it's already gotten out of. our hands a little bit out of control. And so just give me give me a sense of. best case scenario and worst case. scenario even if we were able to leave. tomorrow. >> Yeah, I I look, I think if Trump decided. he woke up tomorrow and he thought, "Okay, this is not going well. Like. we're done. We're done hitting targets.". I think the Israelis keep going, which. means the the Iranians keep going, which.

means the Strait of Hormuz stays closed. and the Iranians probably also retaliate. against US interests in the region. because they they think that putting. pressure on the US will be the only way. to get Netanyahu and the Israelis to. stop. Now, I think what's most likely to happen is. Trump is going to keep going for several. weeks if not longer. There's a lot of. concern, you know, There's reports that. they're sending like thousands of. Marines to the Middle East right now to. do maybe ground operations. Those could. include. going in and getting highly enriched. uranium and pulling it out of Iran.

Those were the the sites that we bombed. last June. >> supposedly obliterated. >> Yeah, supposedly obliterated last June. It could mean taking. oil and gas infrastructure on this place. called Kharg Island. It could mean God. knows what. And so I just fear that we. are getting slowly sucked into this war. deeper and deeper. And as more of these. energy installations get targeted, you. could see the price of a barrel of oil. go to like 150, 200. I mean, God knows. >> Is this the kind of thing that best-case. scenario could go away in a couple of. weeks? Like, there's a world where Trump. gets bored, you know, and and sees.

something else that's shiny. If things. tamp down, what is like what's the tail. on this thing? >> I think the tail is like in months at a. minimum. I think gas prices are elevated. through the summer even if things like. calm down right now just cuz it takes a. while to get these supply chains back. ramped up. >> And then it's Republicans that have to. shoulder this stuff because they're. going on the campaign trail and they. have to somehow say the president that. we have refused every single step of the. way to to to serve as a check on. has engaged in this whole process that's. raised the cost of everything.

billion dollars supplemental isn't just. a slap in the face to those who believed. Donald Trump's promise of no new wars. It is a long-term investment in going. and staying in the Middle East. In other. words, Trump campaigned against endless. wars and now he's asking for money that. would eclipse even the Iraq war, which. in the end cost trillions of dollars and. thousands of American lives and lasted. years. I mean, hell, even Caroline. Leavitt refused to rule out a return to. the draft when asked about it. >> Mothers out there are worried that we're.

going to have a draft, that they're. going to see their sons get in and and. daughters get involved in this. What do. you want to say about the president's. plans for troops on the ground? As we. know, it's been largely an air campaign. up until now. >> Mhm. It has been, and it will continue. to be, and President Trump wisely does. not remove options off of the table. I. know a lot of politicians like to do. that quickly, but the president as. commander-in-chief wants to continue to.

assess the success of this military. operation. It's not part of the current. plan right now, but the president again. wisely keeps his options on the table. >> So, my question for all of those Donald. Trump voters out there is, when will you. realize that Trump never had any. intention on delivering of any of the. promises that he made? How many times. does he have to go back on his word. before you realize that his pandering on. the campaign trail was nothing more than. window dressing, a glossy veneer? And. this is nothing new. In his first term, he promised an infrastructure law that.

never materialized, a healthcare plan. that was cheaper and more comprehensive. never materialized, a middle-class tax. cut never materialized, jobs boom that. never materialized, a manufacturing. renaissance that never materialized. But. you know what did materialize? A tax cut. for his rich buddies. And then in this. term, yet again, did the same exact. thing. Promised reduced costs, cheaper. groceries, lower rent, cheaper housing, free IVF, getting inflation under. control, justice when it comes to. Epstein's victims, and accountability. for his criminal associates. But guess. what? He's not delivering on any of.

those things. This second term, all he. delivered, yet again, a tax cut for. himself and his rich friends. He is. building himself a ballroom, doubling. his own net worth, setting his own. family up with cushy military defense. gigs. I don't know how to make this any. clearer. He does not give a about. you. He never did. He just says things. that people want to hear, but he never. delivers. His entire presidency is a. graveyard of broken promises. He didn't. end the Russia-Ukraine war, didn't lower. prices on day one, didn't bring down.

inflation, didn't release the Epstein. files, didn't usher in a manufacturing. renaissance. And guess what? He won't, because those are just things he said to. get your votes. And now that he got. them, he doesn't need you anymore. Now. it's about him. Now it's about his. legacy, about his tax cuts, about his. headlines. Donald Trump is broadcasting. every which way that his priority is not. regular Americans, it's himself. He will. not lift a finger to help you. He will. make all the excuses in the world, but.

when it comes time to continuing the. same failed policies that he once railed. against, apparently there's a blank. check at his disposal. And guess what? You all are the ones cashing it.
