UPDATE: Italian prime minister goes FULL ATTACK as Trump escalates feud

I'm not sure who advised Trump to yet. again escalate the feud against Italian. Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, but after. this latest escalation, I cannot imagine. a world where Trump wants this to last a. second longer. So, I'm going to do some. very quick background, and then we'll. get to today's explosive new update. Just days ago, Trump went on Italian TV. and claimed that Georgia Meloni, one of. the most pro-Trump uh heads of state on. the planet, begged him for a photo when. they were both at the G7. He said that. she wanted the photo so badly that he,

quote, felt sorry for her. The full. quote is this: "She's probably happy I. talked to her. I didn't have to talk to. her. She begged me to take a picture. with her. She wanted a picture with me. so badly. I wouldn't have taken it, but. I felt sorry for her." To which Meloni. replied the following, and her response. was in Italian. I've dubbed it into. English here. >> So, uh some things deserve an immediate. response. Donald Trump's statements are. completely made up. I am frankly. stunned. I do not know why the President. of the United States behaves this way.

with his own allies. It is not the first. time this has happened, after all. I can. only say it is a pity he does not show. the same resolve with the enemies of the. West, with the enemies of the United. States, with leaders toward whom he is. instead much more accommodating. But there is one thing he must remember. I and Italy never beg. >> Well, Meloni got a lot of international. press because of that, and uh I'm not. sure if you all are familiar with Donald. Trump, but because he is a petty,

insecure, tiny man, he isn't willing to. allow anybody else to have the final. word, especially not a woman. So, he. took to Truth Social today writing, "Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni. asked over and over for a picture with. me during the G7 meeting in France. She. is doing poorly in Italy with her level. of popularity, possibly because she. turned down the United States of. America, a country that truly loves and. protects Italy when it came to denying. Iran from obtaining or developing a. nuclear weapon. But so did NATO, for. that matter. She wouldn't even let us. use Italy's landing strips or runways, a.

great logistical inconvenience, and this. despite the fact that US contributes. hundreds of billions of dollars a year. to protect Italy and other so-called. NATO allies. Now, after the United. States defeated Iran militarily, she. wants to be friends again in order to. get her numbers up. No thanks, President. DJT. Now, Meloni fires back writing, "President Trump, these constant. unprovoked attacks are senseless. As for. my popularity, being your friend. certainly has not helped it, nor does it. depend on my relationship with you. My. popularity depends on my ability to.

defend Italy's national interests, and. that is exactly what I have always done. That is also what I did regarding the. American military bases in Italy. Their. use is governed by agreements that we. have always respected and that cannot be. violated as long as I am Prime Minister. Italy remains a sovereign nation. In any. case, my popularity is none of your. concern. I suggest you focus on yours.". Dear God. Now, if Trump had even a. modicum, a scintilla of sense, he would. leave it there and just take the L. Then.

again, does Trump ever have any sense? No. So, chances are he'll come back and. get his ass kicked on the global stage. yet again. And what's most. bizarre is that Meloni was one of. Trump's only European allies. She was. the proof point that Republicans pointed. to to claim that Trump and Europe. actually got along. And now he's. abandoning even her. If this isn't a. testament to the fact that loyalty only. goes one way with Trump, I don't know. what is. Of course, this is just the.

latest in a long pattern of Trump. turning on those who were his allies. From Michael Cohen to Gordon Sondland, George Papadopoulos, Ronna McDaniel, Rex. Tillerson, Mike Pence, Kayleigh McEnany, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Trump wants absolute loyalty, but will. never return it. And the same goes for. the American people. He's not there to. serve us, we are here to serve him. We. are here to make sure that he is. surrounded by gold, by monuments, by. arches. We're there to give him planes, to double his net worth, to entertain. him with blood sports on the White House.

lawn. Ask not what Trump could do for. his country, but what his country could. do for Trump. Now, on a personal note, I do hope that. the rest of the world knows that the. malignant narcissism that Trump displays. on a daily basis is not representative. of this entire country. Will that. message get across? Who knows. It's more. likely that America's reputation will be. destroyed for the foreseeable future. I. can't imagine who would want to strike. deals with the United States knowing. full well that they might be undone the. moment another egomaniacal right-wing.

autocrat ascends to the Oval Office. Already, Trump and Republicans have pushed the. world into the arms of our adversaries, as China becomes stronger and inks. agreements with countries that Trump has. abandoned. And yet, frankly, as far as. he's concerned, that's all by design, because Trump doesn't want America to be. viewed as a fellow democracy. He wants. to be part of the autocrat club. That's. why he heaps praise onto Putin and. Erdogan and Xi and Kim Jong-un. It's why. he attacks our allies, why he threatened. to invade Greenland, why he calls Canada.

the 51st state, why he attacked. Zelenskyy in the Oval Office. He doesn't. want a democratic country. He doesn't. want a free press. He doesn't want free. and fair elections. He doesn't want. checks on his power. He sees Russia and. China and North Korea, and he's not. resentful, he's jealous. So, Trump will. continue to alienate the United States. on the world stage because he is. physically incapable of not having the. last word. He is physically incapable of. not being led by an ego more fragile. than a Fabergé egg. And as a result, the.

United States will become weaker, poorer, sicker, less prosperous, and. less secure. And the Republicans who. enabled this behavior will never take. responsibility, but they are absolutely. responsible because they have the power. to serve as a check on him. And yet. they've opted not to. They opted to. contract every single ounce of their. power to the executive branch because. they're all collectively too chicken. to speak out and risk a mean tweet. An entire party that cosplays as tough. guys and strong men who are in reality.

small, insecure, scared little men. We're in a dark period of this country's. history, and the people who are. responsible for ushering it in, ironically enough, are too obtuse to. even realize what they're responsible. for. But something tells me that they. might get the message come November when. they are forced, for once, to contend. with the reality and hear what Americans. actually think about them and their. party.
