Trump STUNS his base with EXPLOSIVE public admission
With midterms right around the corner, this is the message that Donald Trump. has decided to send to Americans. >> What do you say to Americans who are not. a fan of the war? >> Uh they're foolish because the war is. about one thing. Iran cannot have a. nuclear weapon. Had we not. broken the uh. Barack Hussein Obama agreement, you know. that you know what I'm talking about, the Iran nuclear deal, this is years. ago, my first term, you would have had. a total. Israel would have been gone.
Extinguished. Israel would be would have. been wiped off the face of the earth and. the entire Middle East would have been. at a minimum in big trouble. But I did. it. That was phase one. We killed. Soleimani. Without Soleimani, if they. had Soleimani, it would be a whole. different thing. Maybe we'd still be. winning, but it would have been harder. Because we are obliterating that. country. And I hate to do it, but we're. obliterating and they just don't want to. say uncle. They don't want to cry, as. the expression goes, uncle, but they. will. And if they don't,
then they'll have no bridges, they'll. have no power plants, they'll have no. anything. I want to I won't go further. because there are other things that are. worse than those two. >> So, if you don't support the war that. Trump promised he would never enter. into, then you're a fool. In other. words, if you believe Donald Trump. himself on the campaign trail, then. according to Trump, you're not too. bright. How's that for a message to his. own supporters? So, I guess when Donald. Trump and his cabinet spewed all of this. on the campaign trail, he's basically. admitting that it was all just a.
complete con job. >> Well, when did the American people sign. up to be in every war and every place on. every side of every conflict all over. planet Earth? >> Why are some of your best friends, national security experts like Lindsey. Graham, for example, Marco Rubio, for. example, so many other conservative. Republic. and and so many so many of the. president's own national security team, including the defense secretary, his. national security advisor, the secretary. of state, opposed to the president's. decision. >> Okay, well, first of all, the Secretary.
of State isn't opposed to the. president's decision, so I'm not sure. where that's coming from. The president, more fundamentally, welcomes robust. views, welcomes debate, had a fabulous. relationship with the Secretary of. Defense. But again, some of the voices. you're talking about, like our dear. friend Lindsey Graham, who we like a. great deal, have been wrong about Middle. East policy. >> By the way, Lindsey Graham, my honest. guidance to those young men, and I think. their concerns are very legitimate. But. if you're worried about the world. spinning out of control, if you're. worried about a military draft, if.
you're worried about, God forbid, a. world war, the best way to prevent it is. to vote for Donald Trump. >> She would get us into World War because. she is too grossly incompetent to do the. job, and then. all of your sons and daughters will end. up getting a draft notice. The thing. called the draft. Dad, what's this? Oh, congratulations, you've been drafted. into the military. You're going to fight. a war against a country that nobody's. ever heard of. Isn't it true? Isn't it ridiculous?
>> Let's deal with the situation where we. are, where this president and his. chicken hawk cabinet have led us to the. brink of war with Iran. I served in the. war in Iraq at the height of the war in. 2005, a war that took over 4,000 of my. brothers and sisters in uniforms' lives. The American people need to understand. that this war with the Iran would be far. more devastating, far more costly than. anything that we ever saw in Iraq. It.
would take many more lives. It would. exacerbate the refugee crisis, and it. wouldn't be just contained within Iran. This would turn into a regional war war. This is why it's so important that every. one of us, every single American stand. up and say, "No war with Iran.". >> And again, by Trump's own logic, anyone. who believed any of those people are. fools. Got it. And let's be clear, Trump's strategy here gets even worse. when he's asked why he wants to be in. Iran. >> If I had my choice, what would I like to.
do? Take the oil. Because it's there for the taking. There's not a thing they can do about. it. Unfortunately, the American people. would like to see us come home. If it. were up to me, I'd take the oil. I'd. keep the oil. I would make plenty of. money. And I'd also take care of the people of. Iran much better than they've been taken. care of. It's been a horrible They've. killed 45,000 people as of a month and a. half ago. 45,000 protesters. We don't do that. So, if I had my choice, I'd keep the oil.
But I also want to make the people of. our country happy. I I think most people. wouldn't understand that. Uh then it. I'll give you an example. Uh Venezuela. has worked out so incredibly. We have. 100 million barrels of oil right now in. Houston being refined. It's been great. The relationship with Venezuela, the. leaders, has been fantastic. And I think. we can have a long-term very good. relationship. >> He wants to take the oil. So, just to. summarize here, Trump ran a campaign. against forever wars in the Middle East,
which have historically been for, you. guessed it, oil. And now that he's in. office, now that he's got power, he's. launched a new war in the Middle East. and is yearning to take, you guessed it, the oil. But, you know what they say, promises made, promises kept. And this. isn't the only instance where Trump has. displayed utter contempt for his own. voters. This was him just days ago. >> The United States can't take care of. daycare. That has to be up to a state. We can't take care of daycare. We're a. big country. We have 50 states. We have.
all these other people. We're fighting. wars. We We can't take care of daycare. You got to let a state take care of. daycare, and they should pay for it, too. They should pay. They have to raise. their taxes. But they should pay for it. And we could lower our taxes a little. bit to them to make up But we It's not. possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these individual. things. They can do it on a state basis. You can't do it on a federal. We have to. take care of one thing, military. protection. We have to guard the.
country. But all these little things, all these little scams that have taken. place over you have to you have to let. states take care of them, Russell. >> No daycare, no healthcare, just wars. That is the only priority of the federal. government. We have to spend less money. on things that impact regular Americans. so that we can dump every single. dime into war. Brought to you, of. course, by the no new wars president. But the most egregious part is that of. all people, Donald Trump knows better. Because as grocery prices rise and.
utility bills rise and gas costs rise, Trump exploited that very phenomenon to. win the 2024 election and even outright. admitted it. >> It's an old-fashioned term that we use, groceries. I used it on the uh campaign. It's such an old-fashioned term, but a. beautiful term, groceries. It sort of. says a bag with different things in it. Groceries went through the roof and I. campaigned on that. I talked about the. word groceries for a lot. >> In other words, he was well aware. And. yet, since he's actually taken power,
think about what he and his party have. actually done to solve those issues that. they ran on. The Republicans have gutted. Medicaid for 17 million Americans. They've gutted ACA subsidies for 24. million Americans. They've gutted food. assistance for millions of Americans. They've enabled a trade war that spiked. the cost of everything. They've greenlit. a war that sent the cost of oil surging. And now, they're seeking approval for a. 1.5 trillion-dollar defense budget, nearly double the current budget, despite that department failing every. audit for nearly the last decade. Brought to you, of course, by the dodge.
president. No idea where the money is. going? Great. How about we double your. funding? So, not only did he break that. promise with no rationale even given, but he's broken literally every promise. that went along with it. He swore that. he would be an America First president, and all that's happened since he's taken. office is that Americans' lives have. become more expensive, and the programs. that Americans rely on have become more. out of reach. And yet, all the while, he. stands there and lectures all of us for. deigning to have believed that the. government could actually help regular. Americans like he promised. He stands.
there and says, you know, now that he's. gotten your vote already, that his only. priority is war. Not Medicare, not. Medicaid, not daycare, not issues that. you contend with on a daily basis, issues that actually impact your life, but war. He stands there and says that. you're a fool for not supporting him as. he sends our tax dollars overseas for. the very war that he swore to avoid. And. he stands there and says that he what he. really wants to do is a George W. Bush. redux, even though that is expressly. what he campaigned against. This entire.
presidency is a graveyard of broken. promises. And that much is abundantly clear, but I. want to remind you all of one more. thing, and I've said this before, and. I'll say it every day moving forward if. I have to. This is not only Trump's. fault. The rest of his party is just as. much to blame. They have had God knows. how many chances to rein Donald Trump. in. They never take it. Instead, they. allow him to do whatever he wants at. every turn, which means they own what's. happening here just as much as he does. You don't get to give Donald Trump a.
glide path to full government control. for a year and a half, and only then. pretend that you've got a spine at the. 11th hour when it comes time to. campaign, and Trump's numbers, in large. part thanks to you, are completely. underwater. And I think even the. Republicans recognize this much. That's. why there are already a record number of. retirements by Republicans in the House, more than even in 2018 when Democrats. won the House by the biggest margin in. modern American history, 40 seats. These. people took the easy route. They didn't. want to invite Trump's ire, or God. forbid be on the receiving end of a mean.
tweet, and now they're entering a. midterm cycle where anyone who's in a. seat that Republicans won by 15 points. or less in 2024 is suddenly at risk of. losing. So, they're learning a fast. lesson in the existence of political. gravity, and thanks to Trump, it's. coming at his party faster than ever. Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to Wield Power. in a Post-Trump World. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most.
important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward: power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got. here and, more importantly, how we. should finally wield power if we're. lucky enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by following. the link on this screen.
