Trump SNAPS in UNHINGED weekend announcement

The temper tantrum that began yesterday. continued today as Trump doubled down in. his tirade against the US Supreme Court. after they struck down his tariffs as. unconstitutional. He took to two social. writing based on a thorough, detailed, and complete review of the ridiculous, poorly written, and extraordinarily. anti-American decision on tariffs issued. yesterday after many months of. contemplation by the United States. Supreme Court. Please let this statement. serve to represent that I, as President. of the United States of America, will be. effective immediately raising the 10%. worldwide tariff on countries, many of. which have been ripping the US off for.

decades without retribution until I came. along to the fully allowed and legally. tested 15% level. During the next short. number of months, the Trump. administration will determine and issue. the new and legally permissible tariffs. which will continue our extraordinarily. successful process of making America. great again, greater than ever before. Thank you for your attention to this. matter, President Donald J. Trump. So, to sum things up here, Trump is angry. that the Supreme Court rightfully noted. that he didn't have the right to impose. tariffs under the authority he was using. called IEEPA, but rather that right.

belongs to Congress. And so, as. retribution against the Supreme Court, Trump will use a different authority to. impose tariffs, and that instead of 10%. like he said yesterday, he'll be doing. 15% now, all of which is tantamount to a. tax paid for by American consumers. Because forcing Americans to pay more. will surely show those justices on the. Supreme Court. And let's be crystal. clear, that's what this is. Trump's. imposition of tariffs amounts to a tax. on Americans. The US government cannot. force other countries to pay taxes, so.

they impose tariffs on foreign. countries, but those tariffs are. actually paid by companies that import. goods. And those companies aren't going. to simply eat the costs, and so instead, they pass those higher costs onto. consumers, which is why prices are. rising. According to Harvard Business. School, a recent analysis by the global. investment firm Goldman Sachs found that. US consumers will bear the economic. brunt of the tariffs, absorbing 55% of. tariff costs by the end of this year. with American businesses absorbing 22%. of the cost and foreign exporters. absorbing 18% only 5% would be evaded.

By the end of next year, consumers could. be paying 70% of the cost, Goldman Sachs. said in a research note to clients. And it's not just consumer prices, it's. also having a measurable impact on. inflation, which was in large part. responsible for Trump's own election. Quote, a report this month by the. Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis found. that the tariffs were already exerting. measurable upward pressure on consumer. prices, particularly on durable goods. The Federal Reserve's Beige which. summarizes economic outlook for all 12. Federal Reserve districts found similar.

concerns about inflation in its October. report. The Budget Lab at Yale. University and the Peterson Institute. for International Economics also found. the tariffs are having an inflationary. impact with the institute adding that if. the tariffs remain in place over the. coming decade, they would result in less. US economic output, higher US prices, and lower American wages than if they. had not been adopted. So, Trump declares. war against the Supreme Court so that he. can continue to inflict pain on American. consumers. Got it. And to that end, you.

have a two-day meltdown over the Supreme. Court? This Supreme Court? The. institution that's bent over backwards. for Trump for years? The institution. that's decided to create a provision out. of whole cloth allowing Trump to commit. criminal acts with impunity? The. institution that's completely ignored. section three of the 14th Amendment. which prevents a federal official from. running for office again if they've. engaged in or given aid or comfort to. those who've engaged in insurrection, which Trump did on January 6th? I mean, hell, Clarence Thomas's wife was. literally trying to overturn the 2020.

election to shoehorn into existence a. Trump victory when he lost. But none of. that matters because this Supreme Court. is in his pocket. And yet even despite. all of that, even despite destroying. their reputation in blind deference to. Trump, it's clearly not enough. Because. if you don't give total, 100% fealty to. the god king, then you are persona non. grata in Trump world, and that even. applies to this 6-3 conservative court. And it's not just the Supreme Court. that's getting summarily discarded by.

Trump. Just ask Michael Cohen, George. Papadopoulos, Gordon Sondland, Rex. Tillerson, Mike Pence, Kayleigh McEnany, Ronna McDaniel, Lauren Boebert, Marjorie. Taylor Greene. He will discard you, no. matter who you are, the moment you lose. your usefulness. And the only thing more. pathetic than thinking that you are. Trump's ally is thinking that somehow. you're special. Somehow this will never. happen to you. Remember, you are all. dispensable as far as Donald Trump is. concerned, and he proves as much on a. daily basis. But what's especially. incredible is that this is going to hurt.

his own party politically more than. anybody else. I asked that point to. Congressman Jared Moskowitz. Here's what. he had to say. Well, one thing that I. thought was uh particularly funny about. all of this was, obviously these tariffs. are super um unpopular, and not to. mention unconstitutional, but they're. unpopular. And so, the Supreme Court. effectively handed Trump a massive gift. Like like just a a a gift-wrapped uh uh. prize to these Republicans who didn't. want to speak out against these tariffs. because they didn't want to they didn't. want to um be on be on the receiving end.

of Trump's ire, but at the same time. they don't want to have to go home to. their districts in an election year and. have to explain to people why a trade. war is somehow a good thing, even though. it's raising the prices of everything. So, he gave them the Supreme Court gave. these Republicans a gift that lasted all. of 5 minutes before Trump said, "No, no, I'm going to go out and figure out some. other way uh to to impose these. tariffs." And so, what do you presume is. the is the the consensus among your. Republican colleagues who almost had an. out here before Trump decided to double. down?

More chaos, more uncertainty. Um you know, that's that's what uh this. this looks like. Obviously, we don't. know anything about refunds. Are these. small businesses going to get any. refunds? I mean, look, they raised the. cost of goods on the American people, yeah, right? Toys, food, okay, you know, anything you would buy uh uh uh that was. not made here, sneakers, all sorts of. clothing, um it it raised the prices on. the American people, period. Um so, you. know, even if one was saying, "Well, look, we need inflation to go down." you.

know, even as maybe some inflation is. easing, it didn't matter because with. the tariffs coming in place, uh it not. only didn't ease inflation, it made the. situation worse. Um. and that's why people feel Americans. feel that things are just so. unaffordable. This was an out here, but Donald Trump. doesn't want an out, he wants to double, triple, quadruple down on this. And so, by the way, why not bring it to. Congress? The Supreme Court says, "Bring. it to Congress." Why not? Why not bring. it to Congress? I mean, I know how I'm.

going to vote, but let's see how my. Republican colleagues vote. If he. thinks, and he said this, "There's great. unity amongst the Republicans." Well, then bring it to Congress and let us. vote on it. That's what the Supreme. Court is saying to you, Mr. President. They're not saying you can't do it, they're saying it has to go to Congress, and then you can do it. But you don't. want to. recognize that there is a coequal branch. because, remember, they had a massive. They have a massive mandate. Remember, we were told that we have a massive. mandate. Well, if he has a mandate, why. can't he bring it to Congress, Brian?

Well, and the reality is, like, if he. wanted Mike Johnson to bring it up for a. vote, Mike Johnson would do it. Like, Mike Johnson has proven that he is. perfectly content to prostrate himself. for for Donald Trump. And so, if he. says, "Bring this in front of in front. of the house."
