Trump’s SHOCKING plan to ATTACK upcoming election is REVEALED
You're damn right. We're going to have. ICE surround the polls come November. We're not going to sit here and allow. you to steal the country again. And you. can th you can whine and cry and throw. your toys out of the pram all you want, but we will never again allow an. election to be stolen. This is Democracy. Watch. Mark, that was Steve Bannon. coming out and saying that, you know, quote unquote, you're damn right. We're. going to have ICE surround the polls in. November. Uh obviously, we have seen the. damage that ICE can do around the. country. We've seen the intimidation.
that ICE brings with it. And so, can I. have your reaction to the legality of. being able to deploy ICE first and. foremost to these polling locations. across the country? >> Brian, anyone who watches that clip and. does not have shivers go down their. spine, I don't know what to tell them. We are facing an existential threat to. democracy right now. Steve Bannon didn't. just say that there would be ice in. cities. What Steve Bannon said is that. there would be ICE quote surrounding the. polls, surrounding polls like the images. we saw in Minneapolis where they.
surrounded cars, where they surrounded. peaceful protesters, where they. surrounded US citizens and we know in. the tragic instances what that meant for. those individuals. So the idea that. Steve Bannon who is as close to the. spiritual leader of MAGA as there is. Steve Bannon who you know let's be. honest is smarter than Donald Trump but. gives Donald Trump a lot of his worst. ideas. The fact that he is saying this. out loud this far in advance of the. election at the same time that we're.
watching ballots being seized uh by. federal officials in Georgia. Uh the. same time that we are seeing Donald. Trump say that he wants to take over uh. the elections. at the same time that he. is saying even perhaps they should be. cancelled although he can't do that um. should really be of the highest order of. alarm for all of us. Now to your. question is it legal? No, it wouldn't be. legal. It would be totally illegal. But. honestly look at the images of what we. have seen ICE do. I mean the Trump. administration has ICE and CPB and the. other federal uh law enforcement uh.
entities that are acting as his as his. uh paramilitary force. They're breaking. all kinds of laws. I mean, they're. breaking laws every single day. Federal. judges are at wit's end. They're calling. them out. Federal prosecutors are. resigning over the fact. So, what though. is going to stop this is not that there. is some law on a book, you know, on a. dusty shelf someplace, but it is going. to stop because you and I are going to. call it out. Everyone watching this is. going to take this seriously. They're.
going to start by subscribing to this. channel so that they get updates when. there's more on this. So, go ahead and. do that right now by clicking on the. link that's on the description on the. screen right now. But we're also going. to go to court. Like, we're going to go. to court to make sure this doesn't. happen. And the Republicans out there. who think that I'm just saying this, go. look at my record. When I say we're. going to sue, we sue. And we usually. win. And Donald Trump and his cronies. know that because after the 2020. election, I beat his and his team more.
than 60 times in court. and we're going. to do everything we can this time to. make sure we have free and fair. elections in 2026. But Brian, I got to. be honest with you, it's it's going to. be tough because they are they got more. weapons. They he got more sick of fans. He's got more people willing to do. things uh to try to undermine this. election than ever before. >> Well, look, that that underscores the. need to amplify your voice in this. ecosystem, not just in terms of what. you're doing in the media, but also what. you're doing in the courts. And like you. said, you know, you you are the one. fighting these uh battles in the courts. You have 80 cases going on right now.
So, a small step everybody watching can. take to support the invaluable work of. Mark and his team. Uh, please subscribe. to Democracy Docket. I'm going to put. that link right here on the screen and. also in the post description of this. video. It is a resource I use on a daily. basis. Could not recommend it highly. enough. Mark, normally when we have ICE. agents, for example, get deployed to to, you know, polling places. If that. happens on election day, there's not. going to be enough time for, you know, for litigation to happen. like they will. have already accomplished what they are.
are are setting out to accomplish which. is to intimidate people uh away from. coming to the polls. And of course. they'll target polling places that are. in Democratic strongholds. And so in. theory this is something we would need. to sue over earlier but there's no. standing there's no harm because they. haven't done it yet. But could could a. lawyer for example say Steve Bannon has. come out and promised this is going to. going to happen and so is that enough. standing? Is there is there harm being. done just by virtue of him saying it. which might already intimidate voters.
that a lawsuit could be brought to seek. some type of injunction or temporary. restraining order based on the threat be. so that we don't even have to wait until. it happens. >> Yeah. So look, I don't think we're at a. point where we're going to bring out. litigation now or other people are just. based on what Steve Bannon alone said. I. think though as we get closer to. election day, but before you start to. see these tactics, then I think you know. there going to be a number of different. legal options on the table and I am sure. again for those of you who are worried. about this and you should be subscribe. to this channel because this is.
something Brian and I will talk a lot. about as we get closer to the election. and we start laying out all of these. threats and what the legal options and. uh updates are uh for that. But Brian, I. do want everyone to understand that when. they talk about surrounding polls with. um with ICE agents, this is about. deterring US citizens from voting. Okay, that's that's what this is about. Like. go look at the images in Minneapolis. Look at the people who are being having.
pepper spray, you know, sprayed directly. in their face. Look at the people uh who. are doing nothing other than standing. and videotaping who are being harassed. and pushed and shoved and. >> people who have been killed. >> and the and I was about to say and sadly. the people who have been killed right. both of the people who were killed US. citizens you know born in the United. States raised in the United States a. mother with her family dog in the back. uh while her wife watches and stuffed. animals in her glove compartment you.
know leaves uh children motherless uh. Alex Prey an ICU nurse um uh who you. know was was was just doing the most uh. selfless work at I think at the VA uh uh. you know was was was thrown to the. ground by you know multiple agents and. then shot 10 times like this is this is. about trying to set up a structure in. which Donald Trump uses the f force of. the federal government to target.
communities he doesn't like and I I and. I think you put your finger on like. we're not going to see this in every. state. We're certainly not going to see. this evenly distributed throughout. communities and states. This is going to. target areas with large numbers of. Democratic voters, which is the reason. why, if I can just ask, you know, you. throw up real quickly what he told uh. Dan Bonino. He didn't say we need a. federal takeover everywhere. He said we. need a federal takeover in I think he. said 15 places. Well, 15 won't only be.
15. It'll be more. But listen to that. >> These people were brought to our country. to vote and they vote illegally. And. the, you know, amazing that the. Republicans aren't tougher on it. The. Republicans should say, "We want to take. over. We should take over the voting the. voting in at least. many 15 places. The Republicans ought to. nationalize the voting.". >> So there it is. I mean, like Donald. Trump's saying, like he wants. Republicans to take over the voting, and. it's going to be in 15 places. And. notice at the beginning of the clip,
Brian, he starts by talking about, you. know, non-citizens being brought into. the country to vote, right? Like what. Steve Bannon is saying in the first clip. you showed is just the natural extension. of this. >> Well, in fact, Caroline Levit was asked. about what Steve Bannon had said in that. initial clip. I'm going to throw to that. right now. >> Thank you, Caroline. Steve Bannon. recently said, quote, "We're going to. have ICE surround the polls come. November." Is that something that the. president is considering? That's not. something I've ever heard the president. consider. You can guarantee to the. American public that ICE will not be.
around polling locations or voting. locations in November. >> I can't guarantee that uh an ICE agent. won't be around a polling location in. November. I mean, that's frankly a very. silly hypothetical question. >> So, that's her coming out and saying. that I can't guarantee that an ICE agent. won't be around a polling location in. November. And so, clearly, this is the. plan. And clearly she doesn't want to. put herself on record saying something. that she knows is not going to happen. because there this is part of of the. plan. And so, you know, I I guess the.
the question becomes what steps should. states be taking right now given the. fact that it couldn't be more obvious. They're broadcasting from the White. House what their plan is to do. And so, what would you say to state legislators? What would you say to governors to to. counteract what uh what what's being. promised out of the White House? Yeah. So, one of the things I hope. everyone noticed in that clip, uh, is, as you say, she does not guarantee that. it's not going to happen. And I think.
the reason why is not because she's. afraid later of being called a liar. I. mean, let's be honest, Brian, this is. not a woman who worries that she will. say things that later turn out not to be. accurate. Yeah. I I I think the reason. why she hedged the way she did is. because Donald Trump doesn't want you to. think he's not going to do it. Like I. think the person who would be angry if. she denied it is not people like you and. I who would say she's lying. I think it. would be Donald Trump. What do you mean. we're not. >> part of part of sending ICE to the polls.
is an intimidation tactic? Why pretend. that you're not going to do it if if you. want to intimidate people by sending the. agents than even preempting the fact. that you know signaling the fact that. you're going to send them there. That's. a that's a an intimidation tactic unto. itself. >> Correct. And so you ask like what are. the states to do? So look, I've written. about what every state needs to do, every blue state needs to do, and it is. more urgent than ever. They need to. harden their systems to make clear that. their ballots are secure at all time and. not subject to seizure. They need to.
look at the physical geography of their. polling locations. This was something. that was a big priority after 911. After. 911, essentially every state had to look. at where they were putting polling. places because of the risk of terrorism. I would say right now every blue state. needs to look at where they are citing. these polling locations. What are the e. ingresses and egresses? What is the. parking situation? Are there streets. that could be closed? Uh is there, you. know, is it an easy place uh to get to.
or not? Right? Like what what are those. contingency plans like? But I'd. encourage everybody to go to democracy. And read the full list of suggestions I. have. But there are also things, Brian, that we need the federal government to. do. And I've written about that as well. and Democrats in Congress don't control. the process, but there are things that. Republicans need from them right now. And we need to make sure that among. other things that ICE are not allowed. near polls. You know, there has been. traditionally this idea of sensitive. locations that that federal law.
enforcement can't be near. And that's. been one of the demands that uh that uh. leader Jeff and Leader Schumer have. made. And they've included polling. places in that. And that's a good start, but even that's not enough. So So look, there's a lot to be done here. It's. something I'm constantly thinking about. and writing about. So, I hope people get. that at Democracy Docket and it's. something I'll keep speaking out about. >> And and I'm going to again put the link. to Democracy Docket right here on the. screen and also in the post description. of this video. This is exactly the kind. of information that needs to be getting. out not just to elected officials like.
Schumer and Jeff, but also to Americans. across the country who need to know what. our demands are. For example, when. there's an when there's a DHS funding. bill that's that's sitting uh sitting in. front of these members of Congress and. senators. So again, the link to. Democracy Dock is right here on the. screen and also in the post description. of this video. And of course, if you. want to see more episodes of Democracy. Watch, the link to this channel is on. the screen as well. I'm Brian Teller. Cohen. >> I'm Mark Elias. >> This is Democracy Watch.
