Trump’s OWN WORDS come back to BITE HIM | Another Day
The president thinks Graham Platter is. unfit to serve because of his past. indiscretions. Yep, that's Donald Trump. saying someone else's personal life. disqualifies them from public office. >> [laughter]. >> We live in hell. This is just another. day. >> [music]. >> With yesterday's primary results. solidifying another round of match-ups. for the upcoming midterms, the current. president decided it was time for him to. weigh in on some of these election. winners. Well, one winner in particular.
>> Yeah, watch that thug that's that's up. in Maine. He's a thug. And they're trying to make excuses for. him. I mean, he's worse than any human being. that's ever run for office, probably. I don't know him. I don't want to say. bad. >> Wow, look at that. Donald Trump trying. to display a modicum of restraint in his. criticism of Maine's Democratic Senate. candidate Graham Platter. Honestly, I. find it refreshing to know that even in. Trump's old age, he's still trying to. work on him-. Sorry, what's that?
Oh, there's more. >> And he's a thug. I know thugs. I had to. deal with thugs. I built a lot of buildings. I dealt with. the toughest people on Earth. I dealt with worse than thugs. This guy's a thug. He's a low-level. thug. >> Normally, I'd say this is a crazy. accusation, but it sure feels like the. always profiteering Donald Trump has. stock in some new company called Thug. and gets paid every time he says the. word. This guy is a thug. Pure thug. Made from 100% thug concentrate. Platter's not unattractive, he's thugly.
His favorite movie? A Thug's Life. Favorite boot? Thugs. If Lauren Boebert. took him to see a Broadway show, then. the lights went down, she'd give him a. thug job. If every piece of data didn't point to. the contrary, I'd say Donald Trump has a. pair of giant balls to be going on. national TV and criticizing someone else. for their moral failings. This is like. Diddy criticizing your excessive use of. lube. And Trump wasn't even close to. being done with his hypocrisy hoedown. >> Can you imagine if the Republicans had.
him? >> Oh my god. >> Now, what if we had him, George? So. >> We wouldn't let him happen. >> Well, I think who I really believe it. If it If it meant losing the Senate, you. would not let that happen. I've never. seen. a person like that run for office. >> Really? Then you're not looking too hard. because you've already thrown your. weight behind the Republican nominee for. Texas's Senate seat who's been indicted. on securities fraud, was impeached by. the Texas House of Representatives, and. whose wife filed for divorce on biblical. grounds. In your first term, you broke. with many in your own party to rally.
behind Roy Moore, the Republican Senate. candidate from Alabama, accused of. molesting a 14-year-old. And not sure if. you remember, but your first pick for. Attorney General was Matt I paid to have. sex with minors Gates. I mean, my god. I. haven't seen someone so full of. since Matt Gates denied he paid to have. sex with minors. But for Trump, this isn't just a case of. one politician unfit to serve. What. America is witnessing right now is a. piece of history.
>> It's just a terrible thing. I mean, I. watch it happening. It's unfolding. It's. It's really history because there's. never been a guy like that that's ever. run for office and at any level. >> I know. It is truly disgusting. I mean, can't we all, as America-loving. patriots, at least agree that if a. person's going to run for office, at. minimum, their only offenses should be. admitting to grabbing women by the. cheating on their wives with porn. stars, being routinely accused of sexual. assault, walking in on girls changing at. Teen USA pageants, being found liable.
for sexual abuse, and routinely partying. with pedophiles? Is that really too much. to ask? But if Donald Trump's nauseating display. of irony-filled partisan hackery wasn't. bad enough for you, not to worry, his. minions are happy to add their fuel to. the fire. >> Cuz he's just an outright pig. He's like. a pig. I watched him. uh couple of times. He's like a pig. That's what he reminds me of. You know, I come up with good names for people. I. don't want to stick him with that one, although I think pigs would be very. upset about it.
>> [laughter]. >> Terrific quip, sir. Truly a piece of. award-worthy humor. Your large acumen. for dry wit can only be dwarfed by the. size of your gargantuan penis. The truth is that Grant Platner's. candidacy clearly poses a threat to. Republican control of the Senate. Because if it didn't, the heavily. made-up conservatives over at Fox News. would be going full bore on what a. tragedy his victory in the midterms. could mean for the country that they. hold so dear. >> The controversies surrounding this. person are endless. All of a sudden.
these building blocks have created quite. a tall tower about this individual where. there's a lot of questions about him. >> A man with a Nazi tattoo and allegations. of violence against women. >> It is the abuse, it is the cheating, it. is the kidnapping, and it's the Nazi. tattoo. >> Got it. So, it seems to me in your ideal. scenario, a man with these controversial. characteristics should be. running the Pentagon? Anyone else have a completely legitimate. complaint? >> He is not senatorial, he's satirical. I.
felt like we were in a therapy session. Uh because everything he was talking. about was about him. >> Tell me about it. It's like enough with. the narcissism already. The moment you. choose to run for political office is. the moment you vow to put you second and. the American people first. >> New York Times reporting that President. Trump is exploring the idea of getting. his face on Mount Rushmore. >> And thank God that's exactly what we. have. The reality is there is quite the.
asymmetry at play here. Because on one. hand, any Democratic candidate must have. zero missteps, must behave like a saint, must have accumulated any and all wealth. only from the spare change tossed in. their acoustic guitar case as they. selflessly busked outside out orphanages. for the deaf, and anything less deems. them completely unqualified to hold. public office, or frankly, even show. their face in public. But for the GOP, well, there isn't a low enough bar. Forget disqualifying attributes. If. you're a liar, a tax cheat, a racist,
and a philanderer, not only are you. welcomed with open arms into the GOP, you might just make it to the top of the. ticket. I am not saying that Grant Platinor by. any stretch is the perfect candidate. The man clearly has some baggage. Not. least of which is his apparent crippling. fear of barber shops. But this is not. about him. It is about the absurd notion. that we have to get lectured about. morality and patriotism by the one. guy who should keep his mouth. shut. To be honest, I think Donald.
Trump's main criticism of Platinor. shouldn't be that he strayed from the. path of righteousness in his past, but. that Platinor has foolishly chosen not. to profit hand over fist from it. >> Donald Trump, now the first former. president to have his mug shot taken. >> The former president himself is using. the mug shot to raise money for his. re-election campaign. And his son, Donald Trump Jr., is selling these free. Trump t-shirts with all proceeds. covering his father's legal defense. fees.
>> All of the proceeds, or did maybe a few. of the proceeds go to a different type. of war chest? When it comes to Republicans, there are. no disqualifying attributes to join. their coalition. But there is at least. one prerequisite. You must be able to. show that you have the courage and. resolve to promise millions of Americans. that you'll lower the cost of their. health care, lower the cost of your. groceries, and make their housing more. affordable, knowing full well that you. never intend to do any of it. And you. have to be willing to do all of that. while giving tax breaks to billionaires.
and protecting pedophiles. Gosh, if there was just one word to. describe those types of folks. >> A low-level thug. >> Sure, that'll do. >> [music]. >> Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to wield power. in a post-Trump world. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward, power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got.
here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're fortunate. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by visiting. the link in the episode description or. go to briantylercohen.com/book. You can grab yours from any of the major. retailers like Amazon or Barnes & Noble. or find an independent bookstore closest. to you. That's also listed on that. website.
