Trump pulls MAJOR Epstein stunt with new announcement | Another Day
Trump nominates Todd Blanche to be. permanent Attorney General. I guess. there was just something about the way. he did everything the president told him. to do that Trump found appealing. This. is just another day. In an era where millions of Americans. are concerned about unemployment and. struggling to get a leg up in this. workforce, it is refreshing to hear a. piece of positive news coming out of the. job market. >> New this morning, President Donald Trump. is expected to nominate Todd Blanche as. US Attorney General removing that acting.
tag. >> Finally! And what a relief for Todd. Blanche knowing that he might soon be. able to give up acting for good and. instead just focusing on directing. He's. the OJ to do Trump's bidding. Yes, in. what some are calling the world's least. surprising event ever, Donald Trump has. chosen his former personal criminal. defense attorney and the man who just. signed an immunity deal preventing the. IRS from auditing Trump and his family. to be our nation's next Attorney. General. Why, I haven't been this. shocked since I pressed the power button. on my remote and the TV turned on. But I.
hate to deny the spotlight from the man. of the hour. So, let's hear Mr. Blanche's reaction to this completely. revelatory appointment. >> Obviously, I'm honored and humbled um. that the president indicated he's going. to nominate me today. I was I was with. him last night at the dinner when he. when he said that. I will work with the. senators. Um I have a good relationship. with the with with the Senate on both. sides. Um I don't say no to phone calls. I'll meet with anybody that wants to. meet with me. And so, I'm looking. forward to working with the senators and. and getting them the information they. they need they need through the through.
the confirmation process. >> Geez, what a polite and completely. reasonable-sounding person that is in no. way indicative of the actual man he is. Yes, apparently in an effort to reframe. himself as just a chill lawyer not. destroying our democracy, Todd Blanche. has been on a recent publicity tour in. the hopes of endearing himself to the. American people. Here he is chilling in. Sean Hannity's man cave just bro-ing. down on how uncomplicated our legal. system is. >> It turns out that if you put our. hardworking men and women of law.
enforcement on the streets and say, "Go. get them." And if you tell our. prosecutors to stop doing all these. silly cases and focus on. on on putting bad guys in jail, it turns. out you can. you can make your community safer. >> Uh I'm sorry. Did you say something. about not pursuing silly cases? >> How does that image of seashells amount. to a serious threat against the. president's life? >> Well, every case requires an. investigation. And what you just showed. is is one part of that investigation. What you just showed is the Instagram.
post. Rest assured that the career. Assistant United States Attorneys in. North Carolina, the career FBI agents, the career Secret Service agents that. investigated this case didn't just look. at the Instagram post and walk away. >> I love how he says that as if it's a. good thing. The American people can rest. assured knowing that an astonishing. number of government officials were. taken off of whatever silly. cybersecurity, narcoterrorism, organized. crime, and civil rights violation. baloney they were working on and were. immediately reassigned to the James.
Comey seashell case. But if you put aside the $1.8 billion. slush fund he tried to make happen for. the president and the $100 million. nonaudit he did make happen for the. president, the biggest issue Blantz will. have to contend with during his Senate. confirmation hearing will be his efforts. surrounding the protection of this man. and his criminal associates. But again, Todd wants you to know that when it. comes to pedophile billionaires, he is. on the side of the victims. >> I mean, listen, I'm not trying to defend.
Epstein. I'm not. And and I do defend. the work that that this department is. doing today right now, which is going. after every single perpetrator anywhere. And if there's a narrative that that. that exists that we're ignoring Epstein. victims, that is false. >> That's right. False with a capital F. When it comes to Trump's DOJ ignoring. victims, nothing could be falser. How. many of you have reached out either. individually or through a lawyer or. representative to offer to provide.
testimony and evidence? All of them. And of those you of you, all of you who. have reached out, how many of you were. denied or ignored by the Department of. Justice? All of them. I truly can't think of a. more reprehensible act than not having. at least the decency to turn around and. see the victims that you purport to care. so deeply about. I mean, if it was Cash. Patel, I get it. Seeing isn't exactly.
his strong suit, but Bondi, she has no. excuse. Now, with Trump's official nomination of. Blanche, one burning question remains. >> The big question that lawmakers are. going to have, which is whether Blanche. can separate, um, you know, uh, the. president's personal legal agenda from. the Department of Justice. >> Ah, I believe the answer to that. question is best summed up by a one. Dartholomew Vader.
Exactly. If Todd Blanche was willing to separate. himself from shaking down the government. for Trump and pursuing the president's. personal vendettas, he wouldn't be. getting the job. That is the entire. reason that he is there. In what world. does anyone think Donald Trump wants an. impartial AG? That's like saying Diddy. isn't too finicky about lube. The. reality is, acting AG was the perfect. descriptor for Todd Blanche because he. has been auditioning for this role since. the day he met Donald Trump. Because.
that's how this president views the. Attorney General of the United States, as a person who serves him. And Blanche. knew that subtlety is not your friend in. these auditions. You're not going to. land the part with some crafty nuanced. performance. No, you have to step in. onto that stage and make your appearance. crystal clear for the person watching, and he is definitely watching. >> And so I think that to the extent that. the Epstein files was a part of the of. the past year of this Justice. Department, it will should not be a part. of anything going forward.
>> Bravo. Bravo. That statement was made on. the same day that Todd Blanche took over. for Pam Bondi. From the jump, he was. saying exactly what he knew the. president wanted to hear. I'm surprised. he didn't follow it up with glowing. praise for Trump's sexy necrotic hands. But here is the hard lesson Todd Blanche. is about to learn. Just because you land. the role, that doesn't mean you get to. stop auditioning. >> It is a. personal honor to be able to witness. uh the way you lead and negotiate.
>> You are fixing everything with your. policies. You have changed America and. created the golden age. >> I believe he will go down as the most. historic figure and and and uh one of. the most historic figures in American. history and certainly uh of the last 100. years because of what he has been able. to do and is doing right now with the. Western Hemisphere. >> Thank you for your bold leadership. It's. a It's an honor to be able to serve in. your administration. >> If you're not watching these people and. throwing up in your mouth, then they're. doing it wrong. And by the way, what a. stellar performance from one Marco Rubio.
himself. That's all the proof you need. that he is a trained thespian with some. wicked range. >> I will never stop until we keep a con. man from taking over the party of Reagan. and the and the conservative movement. He's a con man. >> Yes, Donald Trump is a con man, whereas. Marco Rubio is the pure embodiment of. authenticity. Everyone is always auditioning for. Trump. And as is the case with all. acting, while these people make it look. incredibly easy, what folks don't.
realize is the prep starts early. >> Let's pick things up in September 2013. Bondi's office announces she's looking. into investigating complaints against. Trump University and its affiliates. Four days later, And Justice for All, which was a political group backing. Bondi's re-elect campaign, they get a. check for 25 grand from the nonprofit. Trump Foundation. A few weeks later, well, Bondi says, "Yeah, she's actually. not going to file suit against Trump. over those Trump University complaints.".
>> That's right. Pam Bondi was positioning. herself for the role of Attorney General. for over a decade, and it briefly paid. off. But as everyone knows, the life of. an actor is full of ups and downs. One. minute you're the belle of the ball, and. the next, you are desperately trying to. hold on to your role by any means. necessary. >> The Dow is over 50,000 right now. >> Ooh, I'm sorry. We've decided to go in a. different direction for the role of. pedophile protector. What is so sad is that the Maga universe.
is filled with a never-ending list of. sycophants willing to sell their soul. for a mere shot at any role in Donald. Trump's production of The Importance of. Being Dishonest. And it would be one. thing if this show didn't involve the. rest of us, but unfortunately, we're not. passive viewers here. This is one of. those immersive theater experiences. where the audience is intimately. involved. And when these unqualified. hacks get hired, we all suffer. If Todd. Blanche is confirmed as our next. Attorney General, millions of Americans. will watch as their rights are eroded, as our justice system is weaponized, and.
as our commander-in-chief is rewarded. handsomely for his blatant acts of. corruption. >> That is false. >> Ah, yes, the audition continues. Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to wield power. in a post-Trump world. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward, power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got.
here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're fortunate. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by visiting. the link in the episode description or. go to briantylercohen.com/book. You can grab yours from any of the major. retailers like Amazon or Barnes & Noble. or find an independent bookstore closest. to you. That's also listed on that. website. Thanks so much for supporting. independent media.
