They don't pay us to defend.

Canada, but we defend Canada. And they understand that. As an example, we bought icebreakers. They'd like to. use them. We have 11 brand new. icebreakers coming in. They'd like to use the icebreakers. They. don't pay for anything. And they want to be treated like a. state, but they're not a state. But they want to be treated like they're. a state. And so we just can't do that. anymore. We lose on average over the last 15. years 60 billion dollars a year carrying. Canada. So we just can't do it anymore. >> That was Donald Trump this morning.

America because that should solve all of. our problems. Don't you dare say that. And of course, he didn't stop. there. >> I don't think their representatives do a. an appropriate job. Maybe they'll. change. I I really don't know. Doesn't.

make much difference, but uh. we can't let the whole Canadian thing. that's been going on for decades. And it has to come to a stop. So we're. going to be doing tariffs on their cars. that are coming in at a substantial. level because we want to make the cars. here. We don't want to You know, they. can make their own cars if they want. Uh and they can continue to make their. cars for Canada, but we don't want to. make We don't want them to make cars for. the United States of America. It's very.

simple. Likewise, many other products. So uh. the lake change in Lake of America was. so something I've been thinking about. for a long time, actually. As you know, we uh. took something called uh. the Gulf of Mexico. We changed it and. now it's very routinely the Gulf of. America. So if If think about it, we have. a gulf and we have. a lake. Now, all we need is an ocean. So, maybe we'll have to change the name. of the Atlantic and/or the Pacific.

Maybe we'll change them both. >> I mean, honestly, why stop there? Why. not just rename entire continents? It's. been a while since Earth itself had a. brand update. Perhaps that could be on. the table. I mean, hell, I'm surprised. he doesn't rename the galaxy if it means. he could distract from the fact that he. is coddling pedophiles and presiding. over a miserable economy. And that. really is the point here. Trump will do. everything other than the things that. actually help people. This guy doesn't. give a about regular Americans. This is about his ego, his legacy. Trump.

wants to do things that will outlast. him. He wants to be remembered. He wants. to leave his mark. And so, he's taking. big swings with splashy things like. renaming bodies of water and erecting. monuments like the ballroom and the. triumphal arch because they will be. physical manifestations of his power, his time in office. But he knows that he. has to do it now, himself, because no. one is going to do it for him. No one is. going to honor the most divisive, racist, incompetent president in history. once he leaves office. Nobody's going to.

honor the guy who destroyed the US. economy and embroiled us in a brand new. war in the Middle East so that he could. siphon military defense contracts to his. kids. He will be remembered for ushering. in the second gilded age and tripling. his own net worth while everybody else. suffered. So, because nobody else will. lift a finger to honor him, he knows. that he has to do it himself because. nothing says accepting an honor that you. present to yourself. But remember, while he's doing this, you. know what he's not doing? Anything for.

regular people. He is not lowering. costs, not curbing inflation, not making. groceries or housing more affordable, not lowering the cost of electricity or. energy, not ending our foreign wars, not. releasing the Epstein files. Quite. literally all of the things that he. campaigned on have either remained the. same or gotten worse. What do your. receipts look like from the supermarket? How about the gas station? What about. your electricity bill? How does that. make you feel that while you're focused. on those things, Trump is renaming a.

lake because he wants to retaliate. against our literal closest ally. If. this guy was any less focused on regular. people, he wouldn't even acknowledge. their existence. So, look, I really don't give a. about what a lake is called, but the. reality is that most Americans don't. either. What they care about are exactly. the things that Trump himself campaigned. on. But, since the second he took power, he has ignored all of those things and. began working on himself. His ballroom, his arch, his helipad, his golden. crusted Oval Office, his crypto scheme,

his military defense contracts, his face. on passports and buildings and other. presidents' memorials. presidency is about one person. He. campaigned as a populist, but he governs. like a king. And worse yet, his party. lets him. Remember, Republican senators. and lawmakers are in a co-equal branch. of government. They have autonomy to. step in to help their own constituents, to demand that something, anything, actually improve. To make good on their.

own campaign promises. No Democrats in. the majority anywhere. Not the House, the Senate, and the White House. They. can't gum up the works. And yet, instead of exercising that. power that they campaigned on to win, they've contracted every ounce of that. power to the executive branch. And they. do it as Trump has pilfered the. government to help himself. They wouldn't even prevent him from. suing his own IRS for $10 billion. According to them, that was 100%. acceptable. But, God forbid we had. healthcare. God forbid we could afford.

food. God forbid housing was cheaper. If there was any doubt about who this. government serves, you don't even have. to believe me. Just believe your own. wallets. This is what Republican. governance gets you. And there are no. Democrats in power to pin the blame on. Before you go, one quick request.
