Trump makes SHOCK MISTAKE at midterm convention | Another Day

Donald Trump's midterm convention is up. and running in Dallas. The main drawback. to this event for Republicans, Donald. Trump's involvement. This is just. another day. [music]. Tonight is night one of the GOP's first. ever midterm convention taking place in. Dallas, Texas. And while this political. conference might be outside the norm, the media has decided to give it the. proper level of respect. >> Well, Donald does Dallas. >> Oh, come on. How could you possibly. compare this president with a character. known for people just to get.

what they want? You know what? I I I see. it now. Yes. According to reports, at. this RNC convention, Trump will take. part in a roundt for the organization on. Wednesday where donors can pay $250,000. per person to join him and an additional. $88,600. for a photo opportunity with the. president. Now, is it just me or is this. midterm convention giving off some. strong ComicCon vibes? The only. difference being one of these. conventions is a collection of tens of. thousands of diehard unwell super fans.

who've completely lost touch with. reality while the other is Comic-Con. But let's hear more about why this very. necessary event is taking place. >> The president seems to be doing this. because in a midterm, particularly when. you have a president with such a strong. base as President Trump does, the. question is does that base actually come. out? And statistically they don't. And. in fact, the president usually loses the. House or the Senate, and the opposition. party takes it historically. The. question facing President Trump here is,

Trump's dismal poll numbers right now, some Republicans have decided that. heading to Dallas isn't on the top of. their list. CBS News has learned some.

Maybe I'm wrong. and there's some other totally. legitimate reason for their absence. >> And Mr. President, several Republicans. in competitive races are not coming to. the convention. And now when his toxicity has reached. its peak, they are forced to stand side. by side with the one guy who will likely. doom their chances at the polls. They. are all proud members of the leopards. eating faces party who assume the. leopards would never eat their faces. So.

I hope Republicans enjoy their multi-day. assissing festival that will convince. millions of Americans of one thing and. one thing only. When it comes to fitting.
