Trump makes INSANE public admission | Another Day

Donald Trump demands Republicans in. Congress fire the Senate. parliamentarian. And I know what you're. thinking, we have a parliamentarian? This is just another day. >> [music]. >> When you have a TV show with the. catchphrase you're fired, it's hard to. let things like that go. >> President Trump again pressing Senate. Republicans to fire the Senate. parliamentarian. because she told them they could not. include the $1 billion for the ballroom. security that they want in their. upcoming 72 billion dollar.

reconciliation bills. Yes, there is no. law too ironclad, no institution too. sacred, no tradition too storied that. this president isn't willing to bulldoze. straight through it if it means he can. get to his shiny golden ballroom. Frankly, I don't even know how one. spends a billion dollars on a ballroom. I presume Trump said that he wanted it. to look like the Beauty and the Beast. ballroom except in his, he demanded that. Mrs. Potts be a blonde with huge tits. I don't know. But let's take a look at exactly what it. was Trump said. In his post this. morning, he so eloquently wrote,

"Shockingly, Republicans have kept the. very important position of. parliamentarian in the hands of a woman, Elizabeth MacDonough, who was appointed. long ago by Barack Hussein Obama and a. vicious lunatic known as Senator Harry. Reid, who ran the Senate for the. Democrats with an iron fist. Over the. years, she has been brutal to. Republicans but not so to the Democrats. So why has she not been replaced? There. are many fair people who would be. qualified for that vital job." And isn't. that all our president has ever wanted? A fair, qualified person for one of our.

nation's most vital jobs? Because if we. start putting less than competent people. into these positions, it would start to. make a mockery of our institutions as a. whole. But what's happening in Congress. is not something new. The non-partisan. Senate parliamentarian, Elizabeth. MacDonough, who Donald Trump found the. need to remind us is a woman, probably. because he respects them so much, determined that the billion dollars. Republicans proposed for the ballroom. went against budget reconciliation rules. and sent the GOP back to the drawing. board, which means Senate Majority.

Leader John name that Thune can either. cave to Donald Trump and fire McDonough. or feel the wrath of dear leader. And so. far, it looks like there might be some. wrath feeling in Thune's future. By the. way, uh Senate Majority Leader John. Thune, when he became the Senate. Republican Leader, made very clear from. the beginning of his term as leader that. he had no desire to abolish the Senate's. 60-vote filibuster rule. A whole lot of. Republicans think that by uh doing that, they could potentially weaken the. institution here. Right now, that.

60-vote threshold Yes, and what a. tragedy it would be if congressional. Republicans even gave the mere. appearance of weakening one of America's. greatest democratic institutions. Most. Republicans in the Senate and one. Democrat have rejected a resolution that. would have reined in President Trump's. war powers against Iran without. permission from Congress. We have a a. select subcommittee, bipartisan, uh. a committee that is is reviewing the. investigation of the original J6. Committee. I mean, a committee. investigating the previous committee.

Why? Because there was so much bias in. the system. President Trump has answered. hundreds, if not thousands, of questions. from you all about Epstein. Uh. and I I think he's been very transparent. in releasing the documents. Can you just. imagine if they fired the. parliamentarian? What a tragic stain on. their immaculate legacy that would be? But while the decision is ultimately up. to John Thune, other members of the GOP. weighed in on what they think he should. do. Leader Thune fired the parliamentarian. for disagreeing with Republicans on the.

ballroom fund. I think we're we're. working through that right now. I think. there's some other language that's being. contemplated. Um we're working through. it on some language that I have. So, I. think all that process is still ongoing. I'm sorry, but I've got to give it up to. Republican Senator and Trump sycophant. Eric Schmitt here. It takes skill to be. able to say abso-fucking-lutely nothing. and pretend that it's an actual answer. to a human question. We're working. through that, and there's other language. being contemplated, and the process is.

still ongoing. I'm not kidding when I say that that. answer could be applied to literally. anything. Senator Schmidt, have you heard about. the alien invasion and their harvesting. of human brains? >> We're working through that right now. Was there any part of you turned on at. all by the incest in last season's White. Lotus? All that process is still. ongoing. Just uh one last question. Is. it hard to breathe when your head is so. far lodged up Donald Trump's ass? We're. working through that right now. Got it. But for a moment, let's just get a quick.

refresher on what Elizabeth MacDonough's. job actually is. You know, at least back. when presidents respected the person who. held the position. This person is in. charge of keeping track of centuries of. rules and even more difficult precedents. that senators themselves have created. And then senators go to her when they're. trying to do something tricky. legislatively and essentially ask, "Can. we [music] do this?" Both parties are. trying to use really tricky legislative. maneuvers to pass bills that duck.

filibusters from the other party. So, the parliamentarian is kind of like a. couple's therapist, with each side. trying to say the right things so that. ultimately they're given the thumbs up. by the person in the middle. What? How did How do you guys do. couple's therapy? The reality is, through each and every. action he takes, Donald Trump is showing. America exactly how he feels about our. government institutions. Frankly, I. think the only reason that he hasn't. gone over to the Capitol and taken a. on everyone's desk is because he. doesn't want to go through the lengthy. process of pardoning himself and then.

waiting for his massive payout. This. president doesn't care about democracy. because if he did, he wouldn't be. spending his entire presidency trying to. destroy it. And if it wasn't so tragic, it might even be comical how Donald. Trump continually portrays himself as a. guy who feels hamstrung by a bureaucracy. and just can't accomplish what he wants. because of all this senseless red tape. as if that's actually slowing him down. And in case we needed any extra proof of. this, just watch the footage in this. clip from today. He criticized Elizabeth.

McDonough for opposing ballroom funding. and the Senate's reconciliation package. McDonough took the job in 2012 when she. was appointed by Barack Obama. Uh how. many more construction projects does. this guy need to satiate his building. boner? For a guy who's constantly pissed. about not getting his way, he seems to. be getting his way to the tune of every. crane and jackhammer on the planet. But. there is a bigger lesson here to be. learned and it is one for Democrats. If.

we want to deliver real change in this. country like lowering the cost of gas, making health care more affordable, making housing more affordable, and. providing more food assistance to those. who really need it, basically all the. things Trump promised to do on the. campaign trail but has no intention of. actually doing, then we have to dispense. with this idea that being precious about. our institutions or norms or procedures. will help us achieve that. I am someone. who believes in government, but that. belief only goes so far in a democracy. when you're battling someone who. doesn't. For Democrats to continue this.

fight the same way that we have for. years with strongly worded letters or. press conferences filled with dismay and. disappointment is like fighting with one. hand tied behind our backs or in Lauren. Boebert's case with one hand tied up in. your date's lap. Despite what Donald. Trump says about the parliamentarian. being a shill for the Democrats, it was. only a few years ago when Elizabeth. McDonough wouldn't allow them to include. a path to citizenship for 8 million. undocumented immigrants in their. spending bill. And here's how they. reacted. >> The news we see received [music].

last night from the parliamentarian. Last night's ruling was extremely. disappointing. It saddened me, it frustrated me, it. angered me. >> The parliamentarian is who is chosen. typically. to make a decision in a non-partisan. [music] manner in terms of what can be. included in a package that goes through. reconciliation is the proper process to. for this to journey through. Wow, a. civil response to legislative. disappointment. Did that happen in the. same era as Leave It to Beaver? Because.

it sure as hell feels like that long. ago. But that's still the world that the. Democrats live in today. And. unfortunately, that level of respect and. decorum for our institutions needs to be. put to the side at least for now. Because we will get nowhere with that. type of strategy when our opponent is a. tyrannical con man who could give two. shits about democracy or providing. relief for struggling Americans. So it. remains to be seen which way this GOP. will lean in terms of firing the. parliamentarian. But to me, they've. already shown their true colors as a.

party willing to capitulate and sell out. Americans at all costs if it means they. get to continue their grip on power.
