Trump makes BOMBSHELL confession in front of the country

Does that give you more urgency, Mr. President? You've said that you're in no. rush to make a deal, but with gas prices. that are still high across the country, people are paying more for travel, does. that give you more urgency to make a. deal? Why doesn't it? >> Well, I'll tell you the primary urgency. I have, I said this it wasn't covered. properly, but the primary urgency is. that we can't let Iran have a nuclear. weapon. Uh but at the same time, we have. a tremendous amount of oil, gas, coal, we have uh tremendous amounts. of energy. We we're blessed with. something very special. Uh those prices.

are going to come down, they're going to. come down fast. I think I think that. you'll see actually, Todd, I think. you're going to see lower prices that we. had even before we did this. Now, I knew. there'd be an increase. I said, "We have. a choice. We don't have to do anything.". And then in 2 years or 1 year or 2. months because Iran would have had a if. we didn't hit that with the B-2 bombers, Iran would have had a nuclear weapon. within 2 weeks from that date because. they were ready to go. And if they had a. new weapon a nuclear weapon, it would. have been used already. It also would. have been used had I not terminated the.

Obama deal, the Iran nuclear deal as we. call it. Uh that was in my first term. Had I not. terminated that, they would have had a. nuclear weapon a long time ago. Uh I would say it was a guarantee that. it would have been used, and it would. have blown up Israel, it would have. blown up the entire Middle East, and. that's never going to happen. >> So, the question to Trump was, "With gas. prices that are still high across the. country, people are paying more for. travel, does that give you more urgency. to make a deal?" And Trump's response. was, quote, "The primary urgency is that.

we can't let Iran have a nuclear. weapon." In other words, even as. Americans pay more for travel, for. goods, for food and clothing and health. care and electricity, Trump's priority. is not any of those things, but rather. the war that he voluntarily got us into. despite swearing up and down that he. would never engage in any new foreign. wars. Of course, the ultimate irony of all of. this is that this was the exact issue. that Trump himself exploited on the. campaign trail in 2024. Americans were.

paying too much for everything, for. housing, for rent, even for that. old-fashioned term that nobody uses. anymore, groceries. But the only way to. fix that problem and lower those costs. was to vote for him because he was the. only one who understood your pain. Cut. to, we are a year and a half into a. second term and he unilaterally launched. a trade war that sent the cost of. everything surging. Electricity is on. average 11% higher across the board. Healthcare is gutted for tens of. millions of Americans. How that makes.

things more affordable, I don't know. Food assistance is cut for millions of. Americans. Again, how that makes things. more affordable, I don't know. And now. gas is nearly at its highest point ever. And what's Trump's priority? The great. populist champion, the feeler of our. pain? It is a war in the Middle East. Surprise, surprise. A war that has cost. more than $30 so far, which we. apparently have all the funding in the. world for, even if we can't afford to. have healthcare or snap benefits or. anything else. So when Americans go to.

bed hungry, they can find some solace in. the fact that Trump managed to cobble. together enough change for a now 3-month. war in the Middle East that shows no. signs of ending anytime soon. But Trump tries to justify all of this. by saying that prices are going to come. down even lower than they were before. Right. Why stop at gas? Why not just. also claim that healthcare is going to. be cheaper and groceries will be free. and everybody gets a big house at no. extra cost while we're on the topic of. just making up. In reality, this is.

what the outlook is for cheap gas. >> So how long is it going to be before we. actually start to see some relief? Look. at this. This is where we were before the war. started. This is where we are right now. There's a huge amount of time that it's. going to take according to the futures. market before we get back down to that. sub $70. an oil level.

Look at this, 2032. So, you want $3 gas again? You're going. to have to wait maybe 6 years. And so, what does that mean for everything? Look at this, produce, clothing, airfare, gas, shipping, all of these. rely on high gas prices, high oil. prices, all of them are going to. continue to be more expensive as long as. this lasts. >> I'm sorry, did I hear you correctly? Did. you say 2032? >> Yeah. So, if you look at this,

this tells you what the oil market is. predicting prices will be in the future. We don't get back down to this level. until 2032. That's the prediction. We'll see if that. ends up being the case. >> 2032, all because Trump decided that what we. really need is a war overseas, because. America first or something. Trump goes on to suggest that had he not. terminated the Iran nuclear deal from.

Obama, that Iran would have already had. and used a nuke, which of course is. nonsense considering Trump is right now. attempting to strike a deal with the. same provisions as the JCPOA, the Iran. nuclear deal, except he can't even get. the Strait of Hormuz open, and he spent. already at least $30 billion in the. process. But, I guess it's always easy. to just sit there in your pit of failure. and claim that it definitely totally. would have been way, way worse with the. other guy. Although, I should ask this. pretty simple question at this point.

Did Iran get a nuclear weapon while the. JCPOA was intact? No? Huh. It's almost. like having a diplomatic agreement. worked then, huh? And it's almost like. when Trump says that he quote guarantees. that Iran would have had and used a nuke. he hadn't killed the JCPOA, he's full of. I know, hard to imagine. So, look, the reality is that Donald Trump will. engage in his rambling screeds and. pretend that he's still some genius and. everybody else except him is stupid, but. words are cheap. All you have to do if.

you want to get a sense of how. successful his presidency is is ask. yourself the following questions. Are. you better off right now? Is your health. care cheaper or more expensive? How. about your grocery bill? Your. electricity bill? How about clothing and. electronics? How about toys? Or the gas. at the pump? It would be bad enough that. Donald Trump is presiding over surging. costs everywhere, but even worse, given. the fact that this guy, of all people, knows better. He exploited your pain. over high costs to get your vote, and.

the moment he had power, not only did he. fail to fix any of the problems that he. campaigned on, but he exacerbated them. He made them worse, and then instead of. fixing it, you know where his attention. went? To his ballroom, which he cannot. shut the up about. To his repaved. rose garden, his granite walkway to the. Oval Office, his Qatari jet, his 1.776. billion-dollar slush fund for his. criminal associates, and now he's. hosting a UFC match on the White House. lawn, and that's what he's talking about.

this week, because that is how much he. cares about you. He is broadcasting that. he does not give a flying about. your problems, your high costs, and your. lives, because he himself personally is. fine. He's being entertained. They say. Nero fiddled while Rome burned, and if. Trump wasn't so preoccupied with his. vanity projects, he might have had some. time to learn the lessons of the past.
