Trump makes announcement he’ll REGRET
With the war in Ukraine still raging, with costs still rising, with gas prices. still surging, Donald Trump just took to. Truth Social for what he decided was a. very, very important announcement. Quote, "I am pleased to announce that. today, my administration officially. filed the presentation and plans to the. highly respected Commission of Fine Arts. for what will be the greatest and most. beautiful triumphal arch anywhere in the. world. This will be a wonderful addition. to the Washington D.C. area for all. Americans to enjoy for many decades to. come, President Donald J. Trump." In. other words, while this guy is shedding.
support by the hour, he's out here. promoting monuments that he's erecting. to himself. Usually, the monuments. happen when you, you know, deserve them, when you work for them, when you do. something worth building a monument for. And here's the thing, Trump knows that. he won't have that kind of legacy. because all he's done as president is. screw Americans and serve the. ultra-wealthy. And so, instead, he knows. that if he doesn't shoehorn it into. existence now, it'll never happen. He. doesn't want to wait for it to happen. organically, so instead, he needs to.
just force it into being himself. And. so, that's what his priority is, not the. things that he promised on the campaign. trail, but instead celebrating himself. despite having nothing to celebrate. It's building up his legacy and. massaging his own ego. And that's a. point, by the way, that I brought up. here with Jessica Tarlov. As it relates. to Trump, you know, I think that this is. a legacy play for him, and so he can be. reckless here because he's playing with. house money. It doesn't cost him his own. money to do any of this. He's been.
reshuffling domestic funds so that he. can put it toward the defense budget. He's been trying to get this $200. billion. supplemental passed through Congress as. well. And so, look, for for a real. estate developer whose entire life he. has to look for other, you know, put his own money on the line to to sell. these projects, for him now to be able. to use trillions of taxpayer funds to do. whatever he wants, this is, you know, it's it's a gold mine, literally and. figuratively. And also, he's playing. with house money in the sense that like. he's not at personal risk, his kids.
aren't at personal risk, any of the. Americans that are going overseas and. dying or getting wounded are other. people's kids. And so, he has he has no. skin in the game. It's just a legacy. play for him. And if he wins, if he. succeeds, then he will of course take. all the credit. And if he doesn't, then. of course he takes none of the blame. because that's how he operates. And so, it's only upside. And so, of course he's. being uh you know, as aggressive as. possible because he saw how easy it was. in Venezuela and he's like, "Great. I I.
can I can play kingmaker. I can be the. king of the world right now. I can. topple regimes in Venezuela, in the. Middle East. Then I can go to Cuba and I. can, you know, um tell tell the whole. world exactly what I'm doing and no. one's going to be there to stop me." And. of course, reality will hit him when. he's in the Middle East because, you. know, this is not uh clearly this is not. an easy play for him. But but still, it. hasn't stopped him because, you know, his sole focus is his legacy. It's not. helping people. If it was, he would be.
focused on healthcare instead of. building a ballroom. He'd be focused on. food assistance instead of building an. archway for himself. He would be focused. on lowering costs instead of repaving. the Rose Garden. But his focus is always. on himself. Again, Trump's presidency is. about one person, Donald Trump. Also, I. know that this will surprise no one, but. I cannot imagine the embarrassment and. shame that would consume me, every fiber. of my being, if I was responsible for. building monuments or demanding prizes.
to honor myself. If you watch my YouTube. videos or any of my videos, you know. that I rarely, if ever, even talk about. myself because politics isn't supposed. to be about one person. It's supposed to. be about everyone. And yet, in Trump, we've got a guy who has an insatiable. desire to fellate himself in the form of. ballrooms and arches and prizes on a. daily basis. This literally. made FIFA create an entire ass new prize. and awarded it to himself. I'm old.
enough to remember when Republicans used. to mock participation trophies. Now. they're out here demanding them. And of. course, the irony of Trump. congratulating and celebrating himself. when even his own closest allies want. nothing to do with him is not lost on. anyone. This was just a small smattering. of the voices in just the last few days. >> If you work in the White House or in the. US military, now it's time to say no, absolutely not, and say it directly to. the president, no. Case you're thinking about using some. weapon of mass destruction against the. population of Iran in whose name we.
liberated Iran, we killed their. religious leader for their benefit. Do. you remember that? This was last month. Those people. who are in direct contact with the. president need to say, no. I'll resign. I'll do whatever I can do legally to. stop this because this is insane. If. you've given the order, I'm not carrying. it out. Figure out the codes on the football. yourself. >> How do we 25th Amendment his ass? The problem is to get the 25th Amendment. is harder than impeachment. You have to.
get 2/3 of the House and 2/3 of the. Senate. So what do we do? >> Uh tackle Trump uh and and pretend let. him pretend he's president and publicly. uh report that he's going through a. health issue and Vance take over. It. literally needs to be something like. that. It's that bad. >> I mean, I don't know about you, but I am. sick of this. I'm just I'm I'm sick of it. Can't he just behave like a normal. human? I mean, honestly, like the. president I 3D chess.
shut up. shut up about that. You don't threaten to wipe out an. entire civilization. We're talking about civilians just. casually in a social media post. You You like I. I am the first. to try to understand Trump and his. strategy and to not freak out over his. weird social media posts and language. that is loose and incendiary. Truly,
I've lived with it for 10 plus years. I. learned it the hard way when I was on. the receiving end of it for 9 months. And truly, I think that was a gift to me. in many ways because it helped me really. come to understand what he does with his. social media. But, this is completely. responsible and disgusting. This is wrong. It's wrong. He should not be doing it. I don't care. that it's a negotiate his negotiation. tactic is to kill an entire country full.
of civilians, men, women, and children? An American president. so that the Strait of Hormuz will be. opened? I It's just wrong. It's not hard. to say it. It's not hard to recognize. it. I wish he would stop doing this. Like, he can't negotiate without doing. this? What does that say about him? What does that say about the. the position that our country is in. right now in these negotiations? He's. got to He's got to say this?
He can't. be a dignified, strong leader without. threatening a bunch of war crimes? >> And Candace Owens tweeted, "The 25th. Amendment needs to be invoked. He is a. genocidal lunatic. Our Congress and. military need to intervene. We are. beyond madness." And the list goes on. and on and on. And why is that? Because. Donald Trump is a con artist and these. people are either first recognizing that. now or are first willing to admit it. now. But, whatever the case, it's out.
there and Donald Trump is shouldering. the reality that his floor of support is. collapsing from underneath him all. because he's too much of a liar, a. grifter, and a fraud to hold true to any. of his promises as I explained here on. CNN just last night. >> I think it's pretty telling that Donald. Trump goes after Candace Owens, Alex. Jones, Tucker Carlson, and Megyn Kelly. for daring to hold the president to the. same standard that he campaigned on. He. promised that he was going to be a. president that didn't engage in foreign. adventurism. That's exactly what he's. doing right now. He promised that he.
wouldn't be a president that would see. gas prices rise. We're seeing these gas. prices surge to levels that we haven't. seen in years and years and years. He. promised he would be a president that. would focus on America first. And now. he's moving billions and billions and. billions of dollars from domestic. priorities over to the Middle East so. that he can drop bombs. And then on top. of all of that, he thinks that he has a. leg to stand on by attacking his own. former allies. It's not like these. people are crunchy liberals. These are. These are the most MAGA people that you. could possibly find. And yet, he attacks.
them because they dare try hold him to. the same standard that he set for. himself. >> You You simplify this that he's just. raising gas prices and dropping bombs. >> That's exactly what we're talking about. So, of course Trump is taking a victory. lap and building literal monuments to. himself to celebrate his presidency even. as his own allies concede that his. administration is an abject failure. because Trump is a marketer. There is. nothing behind the glossy veneer of his. promises and slogans. It's all. window dressing to make him seem like a.
real populist when in reality he is a. cheat, a con man, a fraud, a criminal, and a grifter. He doesn't care about his. supporters or anyone in this country. unless they are in his tax bracket, funded his campaign, or are related to. him. And now the whole country, left, right, and center, are finally waking up. to that reality. So, maybe, just maybe, Donald Trump should spend a little less. time on the gold arches and a little. more time making even a modicum of an. effort to hold true to any of what he.
promised on the campaign trail. Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce I've written a new book titled. The Day After: How to wield power in a. post-Trump world. The book explores what. is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward: power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're lucky. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to.
do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by following. the link on this screen. You can grab. yours from any of the major retailers. like Amazon and Barnes & Noble, or. stroll down on the page and get a copy. from an independent bookstore closest to. you. Thanks so much for supporting. independent media.
