Trump INSULTS Lindsey Graham at his FUNERAL
I would say that there is a time and a. place to riff from your prepared. remarks. I'm not sure a funeral is the. place to do that, and this moment during. Donald Trump's eulogy for Lindsey Graham. shows exactly why. >> He did things God in Washington. virtually everyone Republican or. Democrat liked. Lindsey. Well, not everybody. But it sounds good. Not everybody. He was a tough cookie. Okay, I have to. be I have to veer from this for a. second. He was a tough cookie, darling. But he was beautiful.
>> Now, two things here. First, I actually. can't knock Trump here because what he's. saying for once is actually accurate. But the second thing is the funeral. service might not be the best place for. a sole moment of honesty in Trump's. life. Of all times to start telling the. truth about somebody, when their corpse. is sitting in the casket in front of. you, maybe isn't that time. Then again, if Trump wants to finally embrace the. very concept of honesty, while a bizarre. time to choose it, I'm all for it. Of.
course, that was when he was capable of. actually staying awake long enough to. even try and honor Lindsey Graham or. dishonor Lindsey Graham, depending on. what he's saying, which as you can see. only occupied a minimal amount of time. >> Now, he saw. what was happening to you and your. family as a grave injustice. >> Because nothing says devoted friendship. quite like struggling to stay awake at. their funeral. And yet, Trump is already. put on full display just how much.
Lindsey Graham actually meant to him, which is to say, on the day he died, Trump made his death into a referendum. on passing one of Trump's own political. priorities, the Save America Act. >> I got a call last night sometime in, you. know, the early evening. Maybe in the sevens. And he called and he said we're all set. for the Save America Act. He was pushing. the Save America Act like crazy. He got. back, said he just landed from Ukraine. I said, "That's a long trip to make.".
And he said he sounded a little tired, but perfect, but a little bit tired. He. had a right to be. And he was a worker. You know, he was. really a worker, but uh but he sounded. great, actually. But he was he was uh he. actually said he was tired. But he's he wanted to pass the Save. America Act. And I said, "Well, we're. going to get it done, Lindsey. We're. going to get it done. I'll see you like. soon." We thought maybe we might even. meet today. >> Mhm. >> And then that was it. And that was, you. know, very. around the time. It couldn't have been. much longer. I don't know. It could have.
been his last call. I don't know. exactly. He was pushing very, very hard. You probably know. He wanted to do the. Save America Act. And he. was talking about that. He was full of. vim and vigor. He was tired. He said, "I'm tired because it's a long trip.". And essentially we agreed on almost. everything. Where he was really becoming. strong was the Save America Act. That. was He was really And I think he was. going to be there very very strongly on. the filibuster. He was against. terminating the filibuster. And I think he was doing that because he. said, "We have a budget coming up and we.
have debt ceiling coming up." And. the Democrats will, you know, they've. they're deranged in many ways. And. they're not going to be able to do it. So, he was he was coming aboard, I. think, for the filibuster, terminating. the filibuster. But we Before we did. that, he was going to He was a strong. advocate for Save America. And that's. what he called me about last time. I. mean, I think of it. I spoke to him just. He had already landed. He was probably. at his place. I don't know where he was, but. uh I spoke to him. And then I got a call. a few hours later saying, late in the.
evening, at 2:00 in the morning, actually. >> So, Lindsey Graham's body isn't even in. the ground yet. And Trump immediately. immediately begins using his corpse to. promote a political priority that Trump. is hell-bent on passing because his sole. priority is consolidating power for. himself. Now, we already knew that Donald Trump. values power above everything else and. that loyalty is a one-way street for. him, but to watch this process play out. in real time, where he will exploit the. death of a quote friend, that should be.
sending a message to everybody else in. the GOP as to just how valued you are. Of course, it won't, but if these people. weren't all scared little hangers-on who. had even an ounce of dignity left, it. would. In fact, if you need further. proof that the fish rots from the head, here's what another funeral attendee, Sean Hannity, said during eulogy for. Lindsey Graham. And uh. here's a hint, it wasn't a tribute to. Graham, it was a tribute to who else but. Donald Trump. >> There ye may be also.
Lindsey, Mr. President, I'll argue in my mind probably has a. heavenly version of Mar-a-Lago. It may even be a little bigger. He may have a little more gold in in the. Oval Office in his mansion in heaven. And I wouldn't be surprised if he added. one big beautiful ballroom and a arch. somewhere on the property. Because he would want to obviously.
duplicate his dearest friend in life, you, Mr. President. Lindsey, my friend, >> are these people physically capable of. not shoving their noses as far up. Trump's ass as they possibly can? I. mean, honestly, Lindsey Graham's body is. laying in front of them and still this. parade of sycophants goes up one by one. to publicly fellate the president. Is he. that insecure that he needs this? Although, don't answer that because I. think these guys already have.
>> I know I. fought for. freedom, and I know I fought for the. men. who died, who gave. >> [music]. >> that life to. me, and I. had to stand. up next to you, and it didn't hurt. >> [applause]. >> today, cuz there ain't no doubt. I love this [music] land. >> [music].
[music]. [music]. [applause]. [music].
>> Now, what you may not know is that Trump. signed an executive order stating that. the first person to stop clapping for. him gets fired over Truth Social and. gets called a rhino. So, look, am I. surprised that Lindsey Graham's funeral. turned into the Trump show? Not at all. Because after all, that is what these. people sign up for. If you want to. remain a member in good standing of the. Republican Party, you have to contract. every ounce of your dignity out to the.
god king. And so, when you people die. off, just know that the final words from. the people who you think are there for. you will instead be the groveling. desperation to curry favor with some. other politician who could not care less. whether you lived or died. You are just. a vote to him, a vehicle for his own. consolidation of power. That's what the. party of family values has been reduced. to. A never-ending audition to get a pat. on the head from Donald Trump, who would. throw you under the bus the moment that.
you lost your usefulness to him. Before you go, one quick request. It's. become clear to me that this White House. is dead set on preventing me from. reaching any audience. Trump's decision. to put me as the first name on his. enemies list is a testament to that. But. it didn't quiet down then, and I won't. do it now.
