Trump INFURIATES his OWN party with HUGE FUMBLE | Another Day
Donald Trump refuses to sign the housing. bill that he himself championed during. the campaign. So, take that, him. This. is just another day. >> [music]. >> At midnight tonight, a monumental. bipartisan housing bill will finally. become law in the United States. And I. think we all know who we can thank for. the passage of this signature piece of. legislation. >> He said that in a true social post, "I. will not sign the housing bill, which. has been. fully approved by Congress and sent to. the White House in protest over the fact.
that the United States Senate is not. capable of passing the Save America. Act.". >> I'll be honest, it's hard to knock. someone exercising their right to. protest. I mean, what's more American. than standing up for your beliefs using. a tool enshrined in our First Amendment? So, let's see who Donald Trump is. protesting here. >> We will open up new tracks of federal. land for large-scale housing. construction so that we can get housing. on the market. Housing affordability. crisis. It's too expensive to build the. homes, and they're building them and. they cost a fortune.
>> That's right. Trump is waging a protest. against himself. Do you know how dumb this is? That would be like if the message of the. women's march was, "Enough with these. chicks and their rights.". Donald Trump is protesting against an. issue that he himself specifically. campaigned on. But, you know what? No matter. At least. he's kept all of the other campaign. promises. >> Under Trump, we will have no more wars, no more disruptions, and we will have. prosperity and peace for all.
No more wars, no more disruptions. We. will have prosperity, and we will have. peace. WITH OUR VICTORY IN NOVEMBER, >> [applause]. >> the years of war, weakness, and chaos. will be over. I don't. have wars. If properly stated, they. would never start. They said, "He will. start a war." I'm not going to start a. war. I'm going to stop wars. >> Okay, fine. He started a new war, but. that's just two. >> Bacon is through the roof. They're all. through the roof. The milk, everything.
is bad. And we're going to straighten it out. We're going to bring prices way down and. we'll get it get it done fast. >> Ah, that's right. He said he would bring. the price of groceries down and he's. done the exact opposite. Fine, but. that's only three promises broken. You. know, I am so confident that there isn't. a fourth example of this administration. going back on their word that I vow to. shave my head right here on camera if. somebody proves me wrong. >> Seriously, we need to release the. Epstein list. That that is an important. thing. >> Why is the FBI protecting the greatest.
pedarist um the the largest scale. pedarist in human history? >> Simple, because of who's on that list. >> You wondering why we're not hearing more. about this Epstein case? I mean the guy was only connected to. just about every major player in the. swamp internationally and yet you don't. hear much about it. And what the hell. are they hiding with Jeffrey Epstein? >> Oh, >> Are you still talking about Jeffrey. Epstein? This guy's been talked about. for years. You're asking we have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things.
that. and are people still talking about this. guy, this creep? So, that is unbelievable. >> Ah, what a shame. These darn batteries. don't seem to be working. Just my luck. Now, it would be a big deal for any. president to not sign a bipartisan bill. like this, but for a man who loves the. sight of his own signature more than he. loves his own children or at least. one of his own children, this is truly. shocking. The truth is nobody forced.
Trump to campaign on housing. That was. his own choice. But unlike all of his. failed construction projects, Trump dug. this hole himself. He promised to solve. our housing crisis. His own party helped. him deliver on that promise and then he. snubbed his nose at the whole thing even. after his own administration touted what. a win it was. >> It's a bill the White House had. previously called one of the most. significant pieces of housing. affordability legislation in American. history. >> For Donald Trump, this is a total 180.
Normally, he talks about something. incredibly shitty like it's actually. great. But here Trump is talking about. something actually great like it's. incredibly shitty. So, what exactly is. in this bill that Donald Trump so. detests? >> New provisions that would streamline. environmental reviews, remove. restrictions for the construction of. manufactured homes, increase access to. small dollar mortgages, and moving. forward bar large institutional. investors like private equity firms from. owning more than 350 single family.
homes. >> This is the number one economic issue uh. for most American families. Affordability is at the center of our. politics as you've just said, and. housing is the single most expensive uh. thing in people's uh American families'. lives. >> Well, I wouldn't be so sure about that. >> Welcome to Trump Force One. A little strange watching my wife on TV. I'll show you the plane. Beautiful sitting rooms, bedrooms,
forward cabin. >> See, if you think housing is expensive, wait until you try affording a golden. crest for your family's private jet. It is hard to describe how rare an. achievement this housing bill is, but. I'm going to try. Think of it like getting Cash Patel to. stay sober at a hockey game. See? Now. you get it. We have never been so divided as a. nation, and yet our two clashing parties. in Congress were able to put their. differences aside and compromise on a.
piece of legislation that tackles one of. the biggest fundamental pieces of our. affordability crisis in America. It was. good enough for everyone. except one guy. >> They don't really have the ability to. say that this was approved by the Trump. administration. It was done by Congress. and not signed by the president, which. kind of makes it a difficult messaging. item for those midterms. >> Um, have you met these Republicans? They. have zero qualms about lying their faces. off to the American people. >> There was vandalism, there was box box.
cutters, there have been seven arrests. Uh, there was people literally trying to. uh, destroy part of the monument. >> not at war. We have no intention of. being at war. >> It was a meme that was posted by a. staffer on the president's Truth Social. account. It was from a Lion King video. depicting, as you pointed out, different. Democrats as different animals. I think. Kamala Harris was depicted as a a a. turtle. >> You see, just because Donald Trump. didn't sign something that has no. bearing on the GOP claiming that he did.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if. they're planning a hundred million. dollar taxpayer-funded event honoring. his heroic signature right now. People seem to think that Donald Trump's. refusal to sign this piece of. legislation that was handed to him on a. silver platter and that would be part of. a winning message as we ramp up to the. November elections is a sign that he. doesn't care about the midterms. But, that's where they're wrong. Donald Trump. cares a shitload. just not in the way the rest of us do. >> Just roughly four months before. November's midterm elections, multiple. outlets are reporting that Donald Trump.
has dismissed the remaining. commissioners on the Election Assistance. Commission. The EAC is a bipartisan. commission and the only federal agency. devoted to election administration. >> And today's developments come just days. after the Justice Department threatened. criminal charges against state election. officials if they do not crack down on. non-citizen voting, which multiple. studies have found is extremely rare. >> That's right, cracking down on something. that doesn't exist. That's like Chuck. Grassley assembling a SWAT team to catch.
all the ladies trying to him. My god, when will Republicans halt their. incessant about election fraud? >> If Democrats want us to stop talking. about election fraud, I make them a. simple deal. Pass the Save America Act. and get voter ID and we'll stop talking. about election fraud. >> Geez, hard to argue with that gracious. offer. Just give us everything we want. and then this can be over and done with. I bet every hostage negotiator would. love to agree to those terms. The party that keeps talking about. election integrity is doing everything.
they can to make voting less accessible. The Save America Act, which this. president has a hard-on for almost as. much as. other things, would completely transform. the role of the federal government in. our elections. Even though people may be. electing people to federal office, these. elections are primarily administered by. the states as was the intention of our. framers when they put it in that. little-known document known as um the. Constitution. And Trump isn't claiming. that this would make our elections more. secure for everybody, pretty much just.
for one party. >> We can only lose the. midterms if we allow ourselves to lose. the midterms if we are foolish, stupid, and unwise. But if we terminate the filibuster as we. should do. and immediately vote for the Save. America Act, then we will not lose. >> [cheering]. >> an election. for 100 years. >> 100 years? Why, by 2126, I bet there.
will be a robot Matt Gaetz using. holographic money to pay underage girls. to sleep with him. But what is even more. sinister than this president's attempts. to cheat his way to a victory in the. midterms is what he intends to do with. that power if he wins. Donald Trump. campaigned on lowering costs, making. housing more affordable, giving people. more access to healthcare, and he's done. none of it. All he's done is take a. wrecking ball to the White House, plastered his face all over town, and. bilked taxpayers out of billions while. putting those same billions into his own.
pocket. Trump doesn't want to win the. midterms so he can make good on his. campaign promises or provide relief to. people who are struggling. He doesn't. want 2 more years of control of Congress. so he can put more money into cancer. research or provide funding for food. assistance. If he did, he would be doing. those things right now while he has full. control of government. The only reason he wants to take a. victory lap in November is because he is. a power-hungry narcissist who wouldn't. even be satisfied if somehow he stayed. alive and held on to power for, say, >> 100 years.
>> Exactly. >> [music]. >> Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to wield power. in a post-Trump world. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward, power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're fortunate. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to.
do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by visiting. the link in the episode description or. go to Brian Tyler Cohen.com/book. You can grab yours from any of the major. retailers like Amazon or Barnes & Noble. or find an independent bookstore closest. to you. That's also listed on that. website.
