Trump in TROUBLE amid SHOCK update on ballroom

We're going to introduce legislation. that would authorize. $400 million to be spent to secure the. to build the presidential ballroom. Underneath there will be a lot of. military stuff. There will be a Secret. Service annex. Uh and we've paid for it by offsetting. it with custom fees. But the estimate is $332 million. We're. going to do $400 million cuz I think. it's probably going to take more. Private donations can be used, but I.

think they should be used for buying. China and stuff like that. Underneath this ballroom will be. infrastructure that is national security. centric. The ballroom itself will avoid the. dilemma of having to leave the White. House grounds with future presidents and. this presidents to go downtown and in. place this less secure. President Trump said to me this morning. Excuse me, yesterday. We need the. ballroom not just for me, but for future.

presidents. He literally could have left. his bedroom, walked out the back of the. White House, and been at the ballroom. That's what needs to happen when you. have a thousand or two thousand people. gathered uh in today's environment. And. the sooner we get the ballroom built, the more hardened it is, the better for the country. So, I hope and pray that most people in the. Senate after Saturday night will support.

this bill. And there it is. That. ballroom that Trump swore up and down. would definitely totally not be paid for. using taxpayer dollars. Well, now. there's suddenly legislation and support. to do exactly that. So, basically, there. was an assassination attempt at the. White House Correspondents Dinner, and. somehow a bunch of Republicans decided. that the ballroom would have prevented. it from happening, even though the White. House Correspondents Dinner is not a. government event and would not have. taken place at the ballroom even if it.

did exist. And so now, taxpayers are. going to be on the hook for $400 million. so that Trump has somewhere to party at. the same time that Medicaid, ACA. subsidies, and food assistance has all. been cut because something something. populism. Isn't it funny how this always. seems to happen that Donald Trump swears. up and down that we won't pay for his. vanity projects only up until the point. that we do? Remember when he said that. Mexico was going to pay for the wall. until they didn't? Remember the Qatari. jet that was a gift until US taxpayers.

paid a billion dollars for renovations. and Trump will take it after he leaves. office. And now, the ballroom about. which Donald Trump said this. That. building. they didn't sue anybody. But they sued me and I build and by the. way, my building is. it's all donations. Rich people and people. are putting up the money. Zero taxpayer. dollars. Is that right, Scott? Zero. taxpayer dollars. This stuff is all done for free and I. get sued.

This could only happen to Trump. Suddenly doesn't look so free in. retrospect, huh? In fact, Graham was asked about this. point. Here's what he had to say. This. is what I like about voting. If you. don't think $400 million dollars of. taxpayer money is a good investment to. create a secure facility at the White. House where the president of the United. States, the vice president, the cabinet, and people from the public can come and. you know, uh have a meal and gather without. what happened Saturday, then I disagree.

This is the number one job of the. federal government is national security. The number one job of national security, I think, would be to protect the. commander-in-chief. And to have. infrastructure under the ballroom that. is very national security centric. So, I. don't think. just vote no. That's all I ask you to do. is vote. I I care how you vote. I want. to vote. I want to see where is America. on this. I'll bet you 90% of the people. would love to have a better facility.

than the Hilton Hotel to make sure this. crap never happens again. I can't tell. you what to say on the Senate floor, but. I've never seen it like this. There are. people out there just one click away. from picking up a gun or something else. and and trying to make America better by. killing. You don't make America great by killing. people you don't like. 90% of Americans. want a better facility for Trump to. party in? That's what you're thinking. about right now? Yeah, I'm going to bet. that 90% of people do not give a flying.

where Trump and his cabal of. pedophile protectors parties. 90% of. people are wondering how they're going. to pay for health care and food and rent. and mortgage and clothing and gas and. energy bills. Not whether Trump gets his. ballroom to feel important and. celebrated. I mean, dear God, could. these people be any more out of touch? And apparently, the answer is yes, because it's not just Lindsey Graham. who's focused on this. It's not just. Lindsey Graham who's taken up residence.

way up inside Trump's ass. It is. everyone in the GOP. This has to be. addressed. At a minimum, we have to have. a safe place to protect the president of. the United States and the cabinet. officials if they want to gather or. there's a state dinner or a crowd more. than like 100 people. It's absolutely a. necessity. The president, his cabinet, visiting heads of state all need a place. where they can gather that's secure, that's safe, that can be contained. And. one of the things we've learned in the. wake of these awful assassination. attempts against President Trump and the.

investigation following Butler in the. Florida incident is that where events. are held is a critical component of. maintaining security. We absolutely. believe that there is no better example. of why this ballroom is necessary, aside. from all the the very positive things a. ballroom will bring to this country and. to Washington, D.C. than what happened. on on Saturday night. You guys, many of. you all were there. That's one of the. only places in D.C. that you can hold an. event like that due to due to the its. size and and and the structure of what.

we need. So, we're basically stuck at. this point in the city with having an. event like that at a hotel. So, underneath a ton of hotel rooms. And so, the fact that we aside again, aside from. the fact that the ballroom is. spectacular, it's going to be beautiful. It's going to make this country look. great every time it's used. >> We don't have a room big enough here at. the White House, which is another point. to be made. And the president is. absolutely right. It's why. the White House ballroom project is not. just a fun project for President Trump.

like you will read in the media. It is. actually critical for our national. security that a larger secure building. on this complex, which is the most. secure complex in the world, is built to. accommodate not only large amounts of. guests, but also the president, the vice. president, members of the cabinet, of. succession in this country should be. able to gather freely and safety without. the fear of threats or political. violence. And the White House ballroom. will provide that. And so, it's critical. that we get this project done as quickly.

as possible. The the ballroom, I don't I. understand the objection to improving a. ballroom that was unable to hold the. state dinners that they have. They have. to literally put a tent up out on the. lawn. This has been something that others long. before President Trump have talked about. doing as an improvement to the to the. White House. Certainly Saturday night. would show you Talk about a political. party with their finger on the pulse of. real America. Because those libs might.

and moan, but real America wants. this. I'm talking salt of the earth. America, the men who drive trucks and. work with their hands. They go home and. they sit around the kitchen table and. they say, "Honey, kids, I was proud to go to work today so that. half my paycheck can go toward a. ballroom where President Trump can host. his galas. Don't you ever, ever forget. that that's what this is all about.". I mean, I'm sorry, but I just cannot get. over the fact that Donald Trump ran on. the promise that he would help regular.

ass people. He spoke about the cost of a. egg. And then he gets into. office, launches a trade war that raises. the cost of everything, cuts healthcare, cuts food assistance, starts a war that. sends the cost of gas to a near record. high, and amid all of that, he's got the. entire Republican Party out here. demanding that we use $400 in taxpayer. funds to pay for a ballroom so Trump can. party in it. Even Marie Antoinette would. say, "Pump the brakes." I'm going to say. this as plainly as humanly possible.

These people do not give a flying. about you. You are the rubes they climb. over to consolidate wealth and power for. themselves. They are the exact people. they warned you about. They're not going. to hold the pedophiles to account, they're going to protect them. They're. not going to give you healthcare, they're going to cut it. They're not. going to make life more affordable, they're going to raise your prices. They're not going to focus on the little. guy, they're going to surround their god. king with gold because that's his. favorite color. And they're all. jockeying for a pat on the head.
