Trump gives SHOCKING response to Correspondents Dinner attack

It's about 4:00 in the morning in. Washington D.C. where I am as I record. this. I've got a lot to say about the. White House Correspondents Dinner, but. before I do, I first want to direct your. attention to how Trump has decided to. spin the shooting that took place. earlier this evening. And uh. we looked at. all of the conditions that took place. tonight and I will say, you know, it's. it's not. a particularly secure building. And uh. I didn't want to say this, but this is. why we have to have.

all of the. attributes of what we're planning at the. White House. It's actually a larger room. and it's a much more secure. It's got. It's drone proof. It's bulletproof. glass. We need the ballroom. That's why. Secret Service, that's why the military. are demanding it. They've wanted the ballroom for 150. years for. lots of different reasons, but today's. uh a little bit different because today. we need levels of security that probably. nobody's ever seen before.

Another miserable instance of gun. violence and Trump, the president, has. decided to spin it as a way to curry. support for his $400 million ballroom. In other words, there is actually a. beneficiary to this disaster and it's. Trump's pet project. I shouldn't be. surprised, but I'm not. I'm mostly just. tired of seeing this self-important man. who somehow manages to take the wrong. lesson from literally everything. And of course, when Trump issues his. clarion call, his minions jump on board.

Libs of Tik Tok says, "This is why we. need Trump's ballroom." Meghan McCain, "I don't want to hear one more. criticism of Trump's new ballroom at the. White House." And Wokeness, "Now you. know why the left is suing to block. Trump's privately funded White House. ballroom." Republican Congressman Randy. Fine, "We'd better never again hear a. peep from anyone complaining about a. White House ballroom.". These two things. are not related. The fact that some. lunatic tried to commit a shooting. somewhere does not necessitate a. ballroom. Even if there was a ballroom,

this event, the White House. Correspondents Dinner, would have taken. place at the Hilton, where it's taken. place for decades. Just because a. ballroom exists, doesn't automatically. mean the president will never leave the. White House ever again. Sometimes events. take place in other venues, even if 100%. secure venues exist. So, unless the goal. is for the president to never leave the. White House again, then the notion that. this somehow necessitates a ballroom is. ridiculous. Also, I'm sorry, but a. ballroom is not a solution to gun.

violence. I get that Trump wants one. because Trump's priority is Trump, but. shootings happen every day in this. country, and no one else has a $400. million ballroom to fall back on. Americans get shot in classrooms, in. concerts, in churches, and temples, malls. Trump doesn't do anything about. those. No Republicans do. They offer. thoughts and prayers, and then it. happens again the next day, and again. the next day. is not serious about. stopping this kind of thing. So, no, a. ballroom is not a solution. It is a.

band-aid, and it's a band-aid for a very. small group of privileged people. And. yet, that's how it seems to go. Fixes. for the elites, while the rest of. America is left out in the cold. With that said, let's discuss security. So, I didn't attend the White House. Correspondents Dinner, but I did attend. a party in the same building. The. entrance to the Correspondents Dinner. was different from the party that I. attended, but I was actually able to get. into the lobby of the hotel, the the. White House Correspondents Hotel, by. just flashing my QR code for a different.

party. And then once inside, I realized. that I was in the wrong part of the. building, so I left, and I went around. to the opposite end of the building, but. I did get through the street level of. security, and I was able to enter into. the lobby of the Hilton Hotel, uh which. would eventually lead out into the. ballroom, which I believe is nearby. where the shooter himself was. apprehended. So, the shooter was never. actually able to enter the ballroom, thank God, but I will say that the. security from the street level to the.

lobby was pretty lax considering I got. inside accidentally with a ticket to a. different event. And of course, the. Hilton Hotel is a active functioning. hotel, which means it could have also. been a guest with access to the lobby. Again, this is a public setting. There. will always be variables like that. Was. it all too close for comfort? Yes, obviously. But did the Secret Service do. its job and stop the shooter at their. first line of defense? Also, yes. And look, I think that it's just. ultimately a sad commentary on the state.

of our country that this is what we're. talking about right now. It's a sad. commentary on the state of our country. that this isn't really surprising. anymore. It's a sad commentary on the. state of our country that when it. inevitably does happen, it then gets. perverted into helping, you know, Trump with his rally cry of of building. his gaudy ballroom. It's a sad. commentary on the state of our country. that the president's priority is a. ballroom at all when 25 million people. just watched their health care coverage. either double in price or become too. expensive to even afford. When 17.

million Americans will lose their. Medicaid. When millions have lost access. to food assistance. When life is. becoming unaffordable for hundreds of. millions of people in this country that. we are talking about a ballroom at all. is ridiculous. In fact, take a look at this video. Listen for. the chance of USA.

according to Peter Hamby at Puck News, was Dan Scavino. He's a Trump advisor. Like, what are you doing, man? Chanting USA. like this is some source of pride? The. only reason to chant USA after a. shooting is because this is the only. place on Earth where this kind. of thing is commonplace. But this isn't the Olympics where. athletes are taking home the gold. This. is a embarrassment. Our gun laws. are an embarrassment. Our mental health. funding in this country is an. embarrassment. Our comfort with. political violence on both sides of the.

aisle is an embarrassment. This isn't. cool. Charlie Kirk getting shot isn't. cool. January 6th isn't cool. This. country is tired of this circus, tired of incompetent people entrenching. a status quo that helps a tiny sliver of. people while the majority of Americans. are sicker, poorer, hungrier, and less. safe. So look, I wish that I didn't have to. make this video. I wish political. violence wasn't normalized. I wish we. took gun violence seriously. I wish. shootings made legislators realize that.

there is something. disgustingly wrong. and that we have a problem in need of a. real solution. But here we are.
