Trump gives OFF THE RAILS response to surprise Texas election loss

Most of you watching this likely woke up. to the news that last night a Democrat. won a seat in the Texas State Senate, that Donald Trump had won by 17 points. in just 2024, and that the Republican. incumbent won by 20 points in 2022. And. that Democrat won it by not a little, but by over 15 points, meaning this is a. 32 point swing to the left. It's being. called a political earthquake. And if we. see similar margins in 2026, Democrats. will actually gain seats in Texas. despite them imposing a new map intended. to take five more seats for the.

Republicans. In light of all of this, here's what Donald Trump had to say when. asked about the news. >> President of Texas, um, a Democrat won a. special election in an area that you had. won by 17 points. What is your reaction. to that? >> I don't know. I didn't hear about it. Somebody ran where? >> In Texas, a special election for legis. Senate seat. >> I'm not involved in that. That's a local. Texas race. >> Did you endorse the Republican? >> You mean I won by 17? >> You did. >> and this person lost.

>> Things like that happen. >> Does it worry you about the. >> Well, you don't know whether or not it. turns terrible. You know, I'm not on the. ballot. So, you don't know whether or. not it turns terrible. But, you know, you put the Democrats in, you'll end up. with open borders again. You'll end up. with crime all over the place. We have. no crime anymore. I mean, think of it. The country has the lowest crime it's. had in 125 years. in recorded history. The year 1900. That's a long time ago. So, it's very. good. No, I don't know anything about. it. I didn't know. I mean, I know. there's a race going there and uh it's.

too bad. What can I say? I have nothing. to do with it. Yeah. Yeah. See, he's not. involved. It's a local race. He hasn't. even heard of it except of course when. he posted, "Legcams, a Republican. running for state senate in the suburb. of Fort Worth, Texas, will be a great. candidate and has my complete and total. endorsement. Thank you for your. attention to this matter, President DJT. Or when he posted, I am asking all. America First Patriots in Texas's 9inth. state senate district to please make a. plan to get out and vote on election.

day, Saturday, January 31st, for a. phenomenal candidate, Lee Wamscans. She. is a highly successful entrepreneur and. an incredible supporter of our movement. to make America great again. Or when he. posted, "Today is the day to all voters. in Texas's 9inth state Senate District. Get out and vote for a phenomenal. candidate, Lee Wamsgams. She's a highly. successful entrepreneur and an. incredible supporter of our movement to. make America great again. But other than. all that, he hasn't even heard of it. I. got to ask, which one is worse here? That Trump truly doesn't realize that.

he's been highlighting this race for. days and days and has zero clue, in. which case it wouldn't be a far stretch. to ask whether his posts are being. written by, say, an auto pen, or that. Trump is just lying to Americans by. claiming he has no clue when it's. obvious that he does. Take all the time. you need with that one. But note that he. also says this. >> Well, you don't know whether or not it's. transferable. You know, I'm not on the. ballot, so you don't know whether or not. it's transferable. But that Trump's name. is not on the ballot, so you don't know. if it's transferable. Here's the thing.

Trump's never going to be on the ballot. again. So, it's not like, okay, this. time it was bad, but that's only because. Trump wasn't on there. Trump is a lame. duck president. This situation is the. situation moving forward. So, if. Republicans lost with Trump off the. ballot, they will continue losing with. Trump off the ballot because Trump's. time on the ballot is over. But Trump's. delusions and lies aside, the reality is. that this should serve as a five alarm. fire for Republicans. For one thing, look at the spending differential in. this race. The top candidate is the.

Republican. The bottom candidate is the. Democrat. Look at the difference in. expenditures. The fact that Republicans. had that much of an advantage over the. Democrat and still Taylor Remmit won. goes to show the massive amount of. enthusiasm on the left or the anemic. enthusiasm on the right. Either way. doesn't exactly bode well for the GOP as. we head toward midterms. You'll also. hear Republicans claiming that this was. a low turnout election. I'm going to. read some analysis by Ross Hunt of Hunt. Research. Republicans did not lose the. Texas Senate District 9 runoff because.

of low GOP turnout. They lost because. almost all of the independents and some. of the Republicans voted Democratic. Of. those who voted in the Texas Senate. District 9 runoff, 50 plus percent were. GOP primary voters or at GOP households. Only 35% were Dems or at Dem households. In fact, take a look at this breakdown. of those actual numbers in the. electorate. Republicans made up 51%, Democrats made up 35%, independents made. up 14%. So if you have 51% of. Republicans, but the Democratic.

candidate got 57% of the vote, the only. mathematical conclusion is that some. Republicans and independents crossed. over and voted for the Democrat. So for. critics out there, no, this isn't just. Democrats turning out at higher rates. than Republicans. This is independents. and even Republicans voting for the. Democrat. And if this is in any way a. microcosm of the electorate in November, that poses bad news for Republicans. And. what's worse for them, the gerrymandered. map that was passed this year was based. largely on the notion that the Latino.

vote, which switched heavily to Trump. and Republicans in 2024, would be. permanent. And yet, in some of the. largest Latino areas of Fort Worth, we. saw swings of upwards of 50 points to. the left. Meaning this has the. likelihood of being not a gerrymander, but a dummy mander, where districts are. drawn so thin to advantage one side that. in a wave, the other side's margin. overtakes the partisan lean. Republicans. might have just drawn a map that hands. Democrats more seats. And of course, when you add in the fact that Democrats. will inevitably win five more seats in.

California, it almost makes you wonder. whether this whole effort to subvert. democracy and engineer a majority for. Republicans in the House was even worth. it for the GOP. I asked Jamie Raskin. about that point in today's interview. >> I would call it a 30point transformation. because the whole country is waking up. to the systematic lies of the Trump. administration. I mean, the Minneapolis. has been such a pivotal turning point. for us because everybody could see um. that Trump and his team were lying about.

what happened. Those were not domestic. terrorists who were killed. Uh Renee. Good and Alex Prey, they were not. attacking the officers. They were trying. to help people and get away from uh the. ICE officials. And this was a. cold-blooded murder that took place. and. the whole country could see the lying. and that exposure of the lies I think. has had a domino effect in terms of. people recognizing the lies about you.

know about everything I mean right. Epstein files about the tariffs about. inflation I mean we're just swimming in. a sea of lies there's a a really amazing. speech that Vaklov Havl gave back in. 1978 where he said that the crucial. thing when you're fighting in. authoritarian dictatorship is to move. from living within the lies to living. within the truth. And the people in. Minneapolis have shown us how to live.

within the truth. And that means. solidarity. It means collective. self-help. And it means constantly. confronting the lies of the regime. And. it's like what what uh Alexi Nani said. in his book about Putin where he said. the one thing people must do every. single day is tell the truth because. that's the one thing that the the liars. and the thieves and the hypocrites in. the regime cannot handle. It will lead. to a complete collapse of a state of.

They may view themselves. as this all powerful autocratic regime, but they forget that despite their best. efforts, we still live in a democracy.

We still have elections to their. chagrin. And so long as we have. elections, we will hold people who abuse. their power to account. And that. includes a Republican party that has. unleashed hell in our cities at the. hands of a murderous, lawless, rogue ICE. agency. That includes a Republican party. that continues to participate in a. pedophile ring cover up. That includes a. Republican party that promised to bring. down costs and instead won't lift a. finger to reign in Trump as he imposes. tariffs that increase the price of. everything. That includes a Republican. party that watches Trump act like a king.

on the world stage, threatening our. allies and risking the decimation of. NATO. And instead of stopping him, which. they can do, they embolden him. Frankly, people are sick of it. They are. sick of the narcissism, the lawlessness, the shamelessness, and the chaos. And. they're broadcasting it in every single. election that we have. And those margins. are only growing. I would say that. Republicans still have some time to. learn their lesson, but they are. fundamentally anti-democracy. And so, they'll never learn. They'll never. change their ways. But if their desire.

then is to lose power in every single. state across the country, from deep red. seats in Texas to true blue seats in the. Northeast, then I would offer them this. advice. Don't change a thing.
