And if you're looking for a clear sign. that Republicans are struggling in races. across the country, look no further than. Donald Trump's triedand-true tactic, pure Islamophobia. The president posted. a sideby-side photo of himself and first.

lady Melania Trump next to a photo of. Elsad and his wife calling them quote. two very different Americas. >> Remind me which America is it again that. the husbands don't cheat on their wives. four months after they've given birth. But yes, in an effort to scare Americans. from a possible future where they're. surrounded by. loving couples eating in a diner. together, Trump has chosen once again to. go down anti-Islam Avenue. And as if the. tweet wasn't enough, the White House. even posted a video on their website.

entitled A Vision for Two Different. Americas. Let's take a look. I think the. the foundational issue here is we need. to start taxing billionaire wealth, right? And when you tax billionaire. wealth, you disincentivize the. accumulation of wealth. If you cannot. stand for trans rights, do not [music]. be surprised when they come for your. rights. I look forward to pushing. forward legislation that would preempt. localities from participating with ICE. Um, those all seem like pretty. reasonable stances on the issues, minus. the whole apocalyptic soundtrack. But.

And. then the internet went and did its thing. within seconds, posting pictures of Elsa. in his football jersey. One user even. posted an article from a 2002 newspaper. where they write about Elsa playing. center. And Dean Kane's response was, "Well, what newspaper?" You know, I. stopped keeping tabs on Kane repeatedly. owning himself, but I'm guessing that. exchange just went on forever with Kane.

questioning the font size and the name. of the paper boy who delivered that. newspaper. To be clear, there is no. winning with these people. If Elsa. mentioned that it was his birthday, Dean. Kaine would call and demand. photos of Elsa's mom giving birth while. holding a copy of the Detroit Free. Press. But back to Elsa, he was a. lacrosse player at the University of. Michigan, earned his medical degree from. Colombia, and got a second doctorate at. Oxford, where he became a road scholar. My god, the only reason people have to.

hate this guy is because he's making the. rest of us look bad. And while Elsad's. America is one where we see the. elimination of partisan gerrymandering, where everybody has healthcare, where we. reform the Supreme Court, and we make. voting easier for every American, let's. have a look at the other America. You. know, the one where people can grow up. to become self-made billionaires with. nothing but a small million-doll loan. from their fathers, and their children. can have typical childhoods. One where. they're free to roam their gold-plated. pen houses on the backs of stuffed.

lions. I mean, even the toy cars are. vehicles where you don't actually drive. They're limos that require a driver. Now, the good news about this exercise. is we don't have to guess what Trump's. version of America is. We are witnessing. it in real time. It's an America where. people struggle to afford groceries, health care, and gas, all while. billionaires get tax breaks. It's an. America where buying a house or sending. your kids to college becomes less and. less attainable. But a crystal. chandelier filled ballroom is considered.

And he. represents the one we're trying to move. away from. The one where our elected. officials take food away from hungry. people, take healthc care away from sick.

people, and take science funding away. from smart people. The America where. immigrants live in fear as a result of a. president spewing hate on a daily basis. The one where political opponents aren't. debated, but instead are silenced into. submission. The one where if you're a. late night host who dares make a joke at. the expense of this administration, your. show will get taken off the air. So yes, there are two Americas, but when Trump. claims his is the one where all. Americans get to prosper, >> he's full of. >> Exactly. [music].
