Trump gets ULTIMATE HUMILIATION after World Cup final
One final World Cup humiliation for. Donald Trump. So, here's what he was. asked just before the game. >> I got to ask, Argentina Spain. >> Yeah. >> Give me a prediction. >> Well, I knew you're going to ask, so I. thought about it very. >> [laughter]. >> very I thought about it a lot. I knew. that was a question. I hate to get. involved, even though politically it. doesn't matter so much. The head of Argentina is a friend of. mine who's done a terrific job, but I would say that it's hard to bet. against Messi. I watched that pass, I. guess you'd call it a pass, it was. exactly perfect. Although it takes some.
talent to hit the ball off the head. coming at that speed, but that was. perfect. If you had a strike zone, it. was exactly where it had to be, and I. watched also just before that the way he. got away from the defender. He was very. well defended. All of a sudden he's. standing by himself. And he kicked it perfectly, and it's. hard to bet against him. So, I won't. pick sides. I just think it's very hard. to bet against Messi. He's great. >> So, Trump places his bet for Argentina, which of course means this. >> [cheering].
[cheering]. >> Now look, anybody can guess wrong, and. frankly both of these teams who played. in the World Cup finals were excellent, but this isn't just a wrong guess for. Trump, it is a pattern. A pattern so. persistent that the Trump curse has now. become a nationally recognized. phenomenon. Just weeks ago when the US. men's national team was still in.
contention for the World Cup, Team USA. striker Folarin Balogun got a red card. during the round of 32 win over Bosnia. and Herzegovina, and of course Donald. Trump isn't one to simply accept results. that don't favor him, so he called FIFA. president Gianni Infantino directly and. asked him to review it. And shortly. thereafter, FIFA suspended the. suspension, clearing Balogun to play. against Belgium. Now Trump naturally. took a victory lap. >> All I did, I asked for a review cuz I. didn't think it was a foul. And, you know, again, I'm good at this.
stuff. I didn't think it was a foul. I. thought it was two great athletes that. crashed into each other and got. entangled. That was not a. That was not a guy punching somebody in. the face or anything that. >> And, uh, well, here's how that all. turned out. >> What the US did and what that ruling did. was it gave Belgium the rocket fuel that. they needed to go in and put a five-star. performance. That game wasn't even. close. And I'm going to be honest, that. game in a different time could have been. 7-1. It was that bad. And Belgium, they.
embarrassed the United States of America. on a football pitch for 90 minutes in. front of the rest of the world. They. played with intent and there's going to. be people seeing this as potential. justice was served for 90 minutes. >> The Trump curse. Or how about when. Donald Trump decided to show up to game. three of the NBA finals just a few weeks. earlier. The Knicks were on a. generational run and were undefeated in. the series. And then, of course, Trump. showed up. >> The team's 13-game winning streak came. to an end last night with Trump inside.
Madison Square Garden to watch game. three of the NBA finals. At one point, the president was put up on the. jumbotron during the national anthem and. got booed louder than the San Antonio. Spurs. >> And don't take my word for the Trump. curse. I even asked Bernie Sanders. whether he thinks it's real as it. relates to the Knicks. >> You and I both basically come from, you. know, a long time ago, pretty much the. same neighborhood in in Brooklyn. And. so, >> I'm sure there's some some New York. sports teams affinity, uh, deep down. here. And I'm just wondering whether you.
think that after the Knicks won game one. and game two, only for Trump to show up. and then they and then all of a sudden. their 13-game winning streak is snapped, do you think the Trump jinx is real? >> [laughter]. >> Uh, I remember well, I will tell you I. did grow up in Brooklyn and we used to. okay, way up in Madison, the old Madison. Square Garden, uh, watched the Knicks. play. So, yeah, I am a I I wish the. Knicks the very, very best. And and on a. serious tone, you know, Trump going.
there, what Mondani has done, which was. really great, is have these viewing. parties, you know, around the city. And. he had one, I think the plan was to have. one outside of Madison Square Garden. And it was canceled because of Trump. And it caused a lot of, you know, disconcern. in in the in New York City. So, I think. with luck Trump will not be at the next. game and the Knicks will win. >> And frankly, Bernie was right. Or how. about last year's Super Bowl between the. Eagles and Chiefs? >> When asked to pick a side this week, the. president declined, but hinted that he.
favors Mahomes. >> I don't want to say, but there's a. certain quarterback that seems to be a. pretty good winner. >> There's speculation Trump is still. holding a grudge against the Eagles from. 2018, when most of the team refused to. come to the White House to celebrate. their Super Bowl win that year. He held the party anyway without the. team. >> This is a beautiful big celebration. Actually, to be honest, it's even bigger.
than we had anticipated. >> And how did that game shake out where. Trump picked the Chiefs to win? >> The Philadelphia Eagles are waking up. this morning as NFL champions after. soaring to victory over the Kansas City. Chiefs. >> Chalk up another one on the board for. the curse. Take the Washington. Commanders, whose owner Josh Harris is a. huge Trump guy and even invited the. president to watch the game from his. personal suite. >> All eyes on Northwest Stadium tonight as. President Trump makes an appearance to. watch the Commanders take on the Detroit. Lions. What do you know? The Commanders.
lost that game to the Lions 44 to 22. >> Maybe you're a college football fan. Remember the National Championship in. Miami between Miami and Indiana? Well, you wouldn't believe who decided to head. down to Florida and hopefully offer a. little bit of luck to his home state. heroes. >> Okay, if you're going to the game in. Miami, you should know there will be. enhanced security and additional. restrictions at Hard Rock Stadium. That's because President Trump now plans. to attend the game. >> And what do you know, Indiana defeated.
Miami while Trump was in attendance. But. you know what? In fairness, let's turn. to a sport that Trump can actually play. Surely that'll go better for the. president, right? >> One of the world's biggest sporting. events happening right here on Long. Island. The Ryder Cup got underway at. Bethpage Black Golf Course today with. President Trump arriving with his. granddaughter to cheer on the US team. >> The team is not doing so well. So, when I heard that I said, "Let's get. on the plane. We have to fly and help. them.". >> And lo and behold, Europe would take.
home the trophy. Now, no one knows how. Donald Trump became infected with this. ability to destroy everything and. everything that he's involved in, but. here we are. And while the Trump curse. is definitely real and it destroys. everything in its wake and its path, make no mistake, it is not just limited. to sports. There is Trump wine, there's. Trump vodka, Trump water, Trump steaks, Trump University, Trump Airlines, sneakers, Trump watches, Trump phones. My God, this guy bankrupted a casino, a. business where the house always wins.
And unfortunately for our country, the. Trump curse comes for us all. You see, it's not just limited to sports or his. own businesses, it's also coming for us. Has anybody checked their grocery bills. lately while Trump's been president? How. about their energy bills? How about. those prices at the gas pump? Healthcare. premiums? All the things that Donald. Trump touched since coming back in. office have turned to Now, some. say that's because he is an ego-driven, money-obsessed con man hell-bent on. enriching himself and his friends while. the rest of the nation suffers, but it's.
also just possible that he is simply. cursed and that everything he touches is. doomed to turn to And of course, today's result at the World Cup is a. testament to exactly that. >> [music]. >> Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to Wield Power. in a Post-Trump World. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward: power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to.
wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're fortunate. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo.
