Trump gets the news he FEARED MOST at No Kings protest

Hey everybody. So, I'm here at downtown. Los Angeles in the biggest protest in. Southern California in what is the. biggest protest in American history. There are over 3,000, I believe 3,100. events across the country, 3,100. protests across the country country. making this No Kings protest the biggest. protest in the history of this country. And and it shouldn't really surprise. anybody considering Donald Trump is at. the lowest point of approval in his. presidency and it's brought on by his. own actions, by his own voluntary. actions. Remember, this is a president.

that promised the world to his. supporters, promised that he would lower. costs and end wars and bring down. inflation, protect health care, release. the Epstein files. And yet, look at where we are right now. This government is engaged in a in a. systemic foundational cover-up of the. Epstein files. It's been 3 months since. the Epstein Files Transparency Act was. passed, signed into law by Trump. himself, and yet they won't release 3. million documents. We have prices. surging on everything. We've had.

Medicaid cut from 17 million Americans, ACA subsidies cut from 24 million. Americans, food assistance cut to the. tune of $186 billion. And of course, Donald Trump found all. the money in the world while we're. cutting all of those domestic. priorities, all the money in the world. to engage in yet another war in the. Middle East, yet another forever war at. the hands of these uh quasi populist. turned neocon establishment hacks who've. decided that Americans dying is a small. price to pay if it means that they can.

um. pad the bottom lines of more military. defense contractors. And in that bucket, I certainly include the Don Juniors and. Jared Kushners of the world. All the money in the world to fund those. priorities, all the money in the world. so that Donald Trump can uh renovate the. ballroom and buy himself a jet that gets. retrofitted thanks to our taxpayer. dollars, buy some Gulfstream jets for. the Department of Homeland Security, repave the Rose Garden, built himself an. arch, all of those things that Donald.

Trump himself unilaterally feels more. comfortable, feels more taken care of, feels more surrounded by by riches. and luxury and wealth. And meanwhile, Americans are poorer, sicker, and. hungrier than they've ever been. And the. fact that it's happening at the hands of. a populist president goes to show that. this was a con from day one. And by the. way, he knew exactly what he was doing. He knew what it meant to tap into the. pain that Americans were feeling in the.

lead-up to this election. He just didn't. care. He was perfectly content to. exploit people's pain so that he can. help so that he could help himself. And. he's doing it right now, by the way. As the airport lines continue to grow. longer and longer, we have solutions. right in front of us to make this all go. away. But Donald Trump has decided that. he wants to exploit that pain, leverage. that pain. to convince senators to pass the Save. America Act, which is a massive voter. suppression bill, because he doesn't. care when Americans' lives get more. difficult. He wants to use that as a.

political tool to help himself, to meet. his own political ends. If that's not a testament to the fact. that Donald Trump cares solely about. himself, I don't know what is. So, if you look out here today and you. see the thousands of people just at this. specific protest in downtown Los. Angeles, just like you're going to see. thousands of people in Minneapolis, New. York, D.C., Miami, all across the. country, all across the world, this is a. reminder. to not just Trump, but everybody in the.

Republican Party, that while they might. act in such a way where they feel. unaccountable to public pressure, that's. not how it actually works in this. country. Much to their dismay, that's. not how it works in this country. They. are not They are not They are not immune. from popular pressure. And we have showed as much in every. off-year election, every special. election that we've had since Trump took. office for a second term. Where Democrats are seeing 12, 14, 16, 20, 30 point swings to the left. Among.

Latinos, we're seeing 30, 40, 50 point. swings to the left. That doesn't happen. by accident. It doesn't happen just. because. It is a direct result of the. fact that everybody is recognizing the. bill of goods they've been sold. Everybody's recognizing the con that. this president and his party have. perpetuated upon the American people. And I and I make a note. I'm I I I want to make sure everybody. recognizes that when I say that it's not. just Donald Trump, I don't want to give. a pass to the people who have emboldened.

this kind of behavior because Trump. wouldn't be able to do any of this stuff. if it wasn't for Mike Johnson and John. Thune who have contracted every ounce of. their autonomy, every ounce of their. agency to Donald Trump. Congress is. supposed to be a coequal branch of. government. They have the authority to. rein in, to serve as a check and a. balance on the executive branch. They. just choose not to because it's more. important to them not to help their. constituents, but to to prostrate. themselves, to. to to to grovel at the altar of Donald.

Trump. That's what they're showing on a. daily basis. These people in the house, they have 700,000 constituents each. These senators in Republican states have. millions of constituents. And yet more. important than all of those people is. making sure that they get on the good. graces, that they stay in the good. graces of their god king. This entire president, the entire. administration. has been one glaring example of how. government works for a very small sliver. of people. Ironically enough, the exact. sliver of people that Trump himself.

promised, promised we would move away. from. This is the donor class, the elite. class, the Epstein class. That's exactly. who they serve. And they're putting that. on full display on a daily basis. And so, I know that there is some some. concern when we have. uh protests like this that they're just. one-day flash-in-the-pan events, but the. reality is that this is not the. destination, this is the on-ramp. This. is how we get more and more and more. people involved, and those people are.

signing up for hundreds of different. organizations. And if we can look uh. turn the camera right into the field. there, there are literally. hundreds of tents where people can sign. up, help. organizations, help uh mutual aid. groups, get involved with local. chapters, help local candidates. And so. again, this is not the destination, this. is the on-ramp right now so that people. who are just getting their uh uh cutting. their teeth in politics or or getting. used to coming to events like this, that.

they can actually channel that energy. towards something that's going to be. effective and and last longer into the. future than just a one-day thing. And. one last thing that I think is going to. be especially important, you look at the. the general atmosphere here. This is an. upbeat atmosphere, which is so different. from two things. One, the movement that. Trump himself has created, which is a. movement of demagoguery. It's you have. to be scared of brown people, of black. people, of immigrants, of gay people, of. whoever doesn't look like us, sound like.

us, pray like us, and love like us. This. is not that. There are There is every. color under the rainbow here, and. frankly, there's probably people of of. every different political persuasion. here, and that's okay, that's part of. welcoming people into a pro-democracy. big tent movement. Again, we're going to. have disagreements, and I think that. that's something that the online. discourse can learn a lot from with. events like this. Because at its core, uh while there may be disagreements on. on certain little things, everybody here.

believes in a fundamental structure of. democracy and pushing that forward, and. are able to triage that. And I think. that that's going to be especially. important as we move forward toward. midterms just a couple of months from. now, and eventually the general. election, where we have to build out. this new coalition that's going to. topple Trumpism once and once and for. all, because. you better know that J.D. Vance and. Marco Rubio are absolutely angling to. pick up where Trump left off. But, as. people are learning, there is no actual.

MAGA movement. There is no actual. America First movement. Rather, it's a. movement that benefits a small sliver of. people who aren't who aren't these. populations like the people who are. here. This is a small sliver of people. who donate to their campaigns, who who. who can make a lot of money from helping. those campaigns, and frankly, who are in. the Epstein files. And we've seen. instances of that time and time again. So again, I think that this could serve as a great. reminder of what community looks like,

what a pro-democracy coalition looks. like, and the energy that we have on our. side, which is absolutely going to. translate into high turnout as we head. toward midterms, high turnout as we head. toward the next general election, and. finally relegating Trumpism to the. dustbin of history once and for all.
