Trump gets Great American State Fair news he FEARED MOST | Another Day
Donald Trump's Great American State Fair. continues in Washington, D.C. And the. lines are about two or three people. long. This is just another day. >> [music]. >> If you had one day to attend the Great. American State Fair in our nation's. capital, I hope for your sake that you. went today. >> And today is Maha Day at the National. Mall here at the State Fair. We know. we've got a chronic disease problem in. this country, the least healthy country. of all the developed nations in the. world. >> Hey, who's ready to party? I can hear.
all the kids whining now. "Mom, when can. we stop going on these stupid rides and. head over to the chronic disease booth?". But yes, apparently today is Maha Monday. at the Great American State Fair. So, one can only assume that this anti-vax. health nut was responsible for the. highly revised menu items on display. Gosh, where do you eat first? Do you. start at the no-dye Fruit Loop station. and then head over to get a hearty beef. tallow bowl? Or do you just skip those. two and pick up a quick charred squirrel.
on a stick? I like mine with extra. rabies. Don't tell Cheryl. But let's hear about these Maha meals. being offered at the fairgrounds. >> Um I do got to say though, Maha Monday, I'm a little bit skeptical of whether. it's actually Maha. This is some of the. food that's being offered at the fair, okay? Not to be a Debbie Downer. Corn. dogs, jumbo chicken on a stick, loaded. mac and cheese, Chicago and New York. style pizza, and cheesy fries with hatch. queso. That is all up my alley. I don't.
know if it's technically Maha Monday. >> Yes, I would say you're technically. correct. Corn dogs, cheesy fries, and. pizza are technically not Maha unless. Maha stands for Make America Heart. Attack Again. But the issue is not the. greasy food being served. That's what. state fairs are all about. Everybody. coming together for a healthy dose of. Tilt-A-Whirls and diarrhea. No, the. issue is that this administration and. their supporters want to claim that. their state fair is so different from. the others. >> So, here's the thing. It is Maha Monday,
but we have the freedom to eat what we. want. >> Right. Okay, waffles and pancakes. >> Yeah, I think, you know, talking about. what Kayleigh's you know, addressing. here with the food is you have to think. of the part of Maha is being healthy. some days and then having some diversity. in your life others. >> Yeah, sorry. That's not Maha. That's. just called moderation. You guys are. honestly trying to rebrand living now? What's next? Conservatives claiming that. they don't anymore. They're just. making America defecate again.
But, here's what I find curious. I seem. to remember you all striking a quite. different tone just a few years back. when Michelle Obama was promoting the. exact same thing with her Let's Move. campaign. >> An entire school district in Kentucky. has been the latest to join a growing. number of schools opting out of the. federal school lunch program. and the dollars that come with it. These schools say kids don't like their. healthier lunches and are either dumping. the meals in the garbage or not buying. school lunch at all. >> We don't need the federal government.
applying, projecting these standards. upon us. And Michelle Obama is so like. the duchess when she speaks about. >> annoying though. >> She she is because. >> How old can she be eating? She's she's. she needs to drop a few. >> [screaming]. >> RFK is fellating himself for making. Fruit Loops a different shade of red, but when Michelle Obama suggested that. maybe a kid eats some lettuce, they. called her fat. The truth is someone. should let these Republicans know that. it is okay for things to just be. Every. single moment doesn't have to be some.
win for Donald Trump or the Maha. movement. It can just be a state fair. with rickety rides and people wolfing. down deliciously shitty food. >> And this morning four younger Americans. put their stomachs to the test with a. pancake eating contest. That's tough on. any day, let alone in this kind of heat. The winner was determined by audience. applause. The guy who won appeared. really worried he He going to be able to. keep the pancakes down, but in the end. he made it. >> See, that is what this country is all. about. That is American exceptionalism. Consuming an ungodly amount of pancakes,
thinking you're about to throw up on. everybody watching, but in the end. overcoming your unpatriotic gag reflex. Yes, it was a true Maha Monday moment, and can't we just celebrate that? >> These are the times we're supposed to. celebrate, and when you're celebrating, go to the fair and have some fun food. I. don't think many are going to the fair. if they're serving kale and and hummus. >> Well, I don't know how to tell you this, but I think someone must have snuck that. kale and hummus inside because how else. would you explain this? [laughter]. >> And it's because there's tons of people.
here. It's a huge space, and it's just. going to get more and more crowded as. the as the week goes on. >> Not only do we have a lot of people. here, we have people you want to have. here, like Stacy Garrity. That woman. could be your next governor of. Pennsylvania right here. >> go. >> My god, Republicans are out here wailing. about socialism, but who would have. guessed that the real enemy would be. that camera pan? Absolutely brutal. That. was the voice of Dr. Oz on stage, and I. have to say it's always a good sign when. you have a doctor who easily. misdiagnoses the size of something. Or.
maybe that's why Donald Trump chose him. for the job. Mr. President, another. physical in the books. Your height is. still 6'5". Your weight, 185 lb. And not. sure how it's possible, sir, but your. penis grew even larger than its previous. gargantuan size. And the doctor wasn't just in talk in to. talk about how big the crowds were in. Washington, D.C. He also took some time. to talk about how big our healthcare. fraud is nationwide. >> Historically, Obamacare had 9 million. people on it. 9 million people.
This year, over 23 million people. apparently apparently signed up. But of. the people who signed up, 40% never used. the insurance. Let me ask you a. question, John. You have health. insurance. Do you use it once a year? Buy a prescription, you go visit a. doctor, call somebody. >> if I don't use it once a day, >> [laughter]. >> it's pretty infrequent. >> Well, in in Obamacare right now, 40% of. the people ostensibly signed up. never used the insurance. >> Okay. If 40% never use the insurance,
that's a good thing. The hope is that. you get insurance and never use it. That. is quite literally what insurance is. It. doesn't mean you're a fake person, it. means you didn't get sick or get into an. accident or take a fall. You get it with. the hope that you never have to actually. use it. You know, like a nuclear weapon. or a flashlight. But fraud aside, just because the Great. American State Fair has one ride and the. exact food that you would find at other. state fairs minus the massive amounts of.
federal security, that doesn't mean that. it's deserving of any less hype. >> This is it, the Great American State. Fair. >> We're kicking off a week of special. shows celebrating America's 250th live. from the Great American Fair. >> Welcome back. We are back live and full. of life at the Great American State. Fair. >> Americans are here honoring their. country, of course, visiting the state. booths and enjoying the fun festivities. >> We're celebrating already at the Great. American State Fair. Man, we've got. thousands of people celebrating this. birthday with us, Tommy.
>> Oof. This is like college game day. without all those Oh, um. what do you call them? Uh people. Fox News has decided to post up at the. fair and broadcast half their shows live. from the grounds, which means not only. are they having to lie about how many. people are in attendance, and I know. lying is a stretch for them, so. godspeed, but the reporters are now. forced to shoehorn this fair into every. report they do. >> And while Americans are feeling the. unity here at the fair, the same cannot. be said of the Democratic Party.
>> A lot of back and forth between US and. Iranian forces over the Strait of Hormuz. in keeping that open, but here on the. National Mall, not a lot of talk about. Iran, as you can imagine, although Uh, Larry, just in a few minutes behind me, where the rodeo is going to start again. Some people say riding a bull is a lot. like dealing with Iran. You got to hang. on for dear life, and uh, you never know. how it's going to go. >> He's exactly right. I believe we have a. rodeo clip that encapsulates how Donald. Trump's war with Iran is going.
Yeah, I'd say that about sums it up. The. reality is this Maha Monday at the State. Fair is just another example of empty. branding coming out of the White House. A chance for this administration to slap. their Trumpian slogans on something that. could be great if they actually cared. about fixing a problem. Addressing the. healthcare crisis in America is a worthy. endeavor, and if that was actually. happening, I would be all for it. But. how do you make a nation healthier when. your policies have forced 3 million. people off their healthcare? How are you. making America healthier when you've cut.
$186 billion from food assistance. programs, or cut billions from cancer. research? This administration wants us. to believe that the future of health in. our nation is in great hands when the. program is being run by this guy? >> If you look at a packet Fruit Loops in. this country, it's all. chemical dyes, yellow, blue, red dye, which are poisons. >> And Steak 'n Shake has switched out. >> And people are raving about these french. fries, and the customers are raving. about it.
Uh, other companies, Steak 'n Shake has. been great. We're very grateful for them. for RFK-ing the french fries. They. turned me into a verb. >> I guess that's one way to hear that. I. mean, a lot of us use RFK-ing as a verb, but it has a slightly less favorable. spin to it. You know, like hey man, how. about you take your jeans off and put on. a bathing suit like the rest of us? You're totally RFK-ing this hot tub. Are we really supposed to believe that. our national nutritional nightmare is. going to be solved once all of our Fruit. Loops are dye-free and our fries are.
cooked with beef tallow? What's going to. get us over the hump? Some pull-ups at. the airport? Anyone else turned on? MAHA is no different than MAGA, an. entire movement co-opted by grifters who. are routinely patting themselves on the. back for doing nothing more than. throwing up window dressing as a. solution to a much bigger problem that. they have zero intention of actually. fixing. As one woman said, >> I'm a little bit skeptical of whether. it's actually MAHA. >> I couldn't agree more.
Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to wield power. in a post-Trump world. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward: power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're fortunate. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status.
quo. Please pre-order today by visiting. the link in the episode description or. go to briantylercohen.com/book.
