Trump drops INSANE UPDATE on Trevor Noah lawsuit

Mr. President, are you going to sue. Trevor Noah last night in a post? You. alluded that something could be coming. >> Yeah. Well, he said that he said that. that I spent time on Jeffrey's Jeffrey. Epstein's Island. I didn't I mean, he's. a lightweight this guy. He's a terrible. I thought I think he's terrible. I. thought he did a terrible job at the. Grammys. I thought the whole Grammys was. terrible. I watched part of it. He's not. watchable, but he was a lousy host. I'd. say not as bad as Jimmy Kimmel, but. pretty close. And no, he made a. statement about me and Jeffrey Epson. I.

have nothing to do with that. I have. nothing to do with Jeffrey Epson. And in. fact, if you look at the DOJ, they. announced uh, you know, they released 3. million pages. It's like this is all. they're supposed to be doing. >> Okay, few things. First of all, what a. big baby. This guy is the. president of the United States. He's got. full control of government. He is a. billionaire who might as well back the. Trump truck up to the US Treasury given. the complete absence of push back he. gets from his own party. And yet here he. is whining like a little that a. comedian made a joke about him. If Trump.

is as tough as he likes to pretend he. is, maybe he should sack up and learn. how to take a joke without running to. court like a big baby. Second, hm, I. wonder why Trevor Noah might be making. that joke about Trump and Epstein. Might. it have something to do with the fact. that this administration has spent the. last year engaging in a cover up of. those very files? Remember this? >> Are you still talking about Jeffrey? Epstein. This guy's been talked about. for years. You're asking we have Texas,

we have this, we have all of the things. And are people still talking about this. guy, this creep? >> That is unbelievable. Do you want to waste the time? And do. you feel like answering? >> I I don't mind answering. >> I mean, I can't believe you're asking a. question on Epstein at a time like this. where we're having some of the greatest. success and and also tragedy with what. happened in Texas. It just seems uh like. a desecration. >> Yeah. Truly one of life's great.

mysteries. How people think that Donald. J. Trump is somehow implicated. I mean, I'm sorry, but we watched this guy host. an influencer event where they waved. around fake binders. We watched his. attorney general claim that the files. were on her desk a year ago. We watched. him bully Marjorie Taylor Green out of. Congress over this exact issue. We. watched him try to pressure Lauren. Boowart, another ally, into not signing. the discharge petition to release the. Epstein files by summoning her to the. situation room. And now we're watching. his deputy attorney general, Todd.

Blanch, offer up just half of the files. while we're supposed to just ignore the. remaining 3 million. In fact, I asked. Congressman Roana about that point. Here's what he had to say. Are you. satisfied that it seems like the DOJ is. basically wiping their hands of this. thing after giving half of what was. ultimately promised? No. And Massie and I are going to meet. Blanch. He said he's open to meeting us. But here's what I want folks to put into. context. The 50% that have been released.

is so disturbing, so concerning about. how wealthy and powerful people in this. country acted. Imagine what is in the. files that they haven't released. I. mean, this is a scandal that uh. basically goes to the heart of this. country. Rich and powerful people were. getting away with going to Epstein's. Island with watching the abuse of. underage girls. Uh and so we're going to. fight to get everything out uh.

the Epstein files transparency law. Trump's position here is that we should. just sit down and shut up and be happy. with what we've got, the crumbs that. we've been given. But sure, he's. definitely not hiding anything and in. fact will sue you if you even suggest as. much. Got it? In fact, Trump goes on to. scoff at the notion that the DOJ should. even be wasting their precious time on. something as lame as this. >> If you look at the DOJ, they announced. uh, you know, they released 3 million. pages. It's like this is all they're.

supposed to be doing. >> Yeah. How crazy that the DOJ has to. waste its time on something so annoying. as a. multinational pedophile ring. Don't you. just hate it when the nation's premier. law enforcement agency has to waste. their precious time doing law. enforcement? Isn't it so annoying when. our tax dollars have to go after. pedophiles? Wouldn't it be so much. easier if they could just go after Don. Lemon instead? And I got to ask, how do. those millions of Trump supporters and. Trump voters feel about hearing Trump. scoff at the very notion of.

investigating Epstein? How do they feel. about knowing that not only is he in the. files, but much of his orbit is too. Steve Bannon, Howard Lutnik, Trump's new. pick for Fed chair Kevin Worsh, his. first term labor secretary, Alex Aosta, who literally gave Epstein his. sweetheart deal. You thought you were. getting exposure. Instead, you ushered. in the team that has the biggest vested. interest in secrecy on the Epstein files. because they are literally the ones who. need protecting. Now, in terms of the. validity of Trump's threatened lawsuit. here, it is a complete joke. I discussed.

the issue with former federal prosecutor. Glenn Kushner. Here's what he had to. say. >> First of all, false statement, not a. given because you need the inference, right? Well, let me back up even before. that. How about first amendment. protected speech, artistic expression, which has been applied to comedy and. satire. So, this was a joke, folks. And. I think that actually would carry some. weight with the judge when the judge has. to decide if this is a legitimate. defamation suit or not. Then false.

statement. You need to draw the. inference. Trevor Noah didn't say. Interestingly, in Donald Trump's post, I. believe he said Trevor Noah said that. Bill Clinton and I were on Epstein's. island. No, he didn't. He said, you know. what? I guess he's going to need another. island to pal around with Bill Clinton. on. That is different. You know, it may. not be wildly different and the. inference may be obvious to some, but. that detracts from the falsity of the. statement, particularly in the context.

of a joke. You're kind of asking people. to fill in part of the punchline for you. because that part went unspoken. Okay. Actual malice against a public official. It's a very high burden to satisfy when. you are alleged to have defamed you know. the probably most prominent person in. the world at this point for worse or. worse I can't say for better or worse. Donald Trump right so he's going to have.

to satisfy the actual malice burden but. then Brian let's get down to damages. let's get down to brass tax and dollars. and cents first of all can Donald. Trump's reputation really be harmed med. is it capable of being harmed as bad as. his reputation is as evidenced by the. most recent document dump from the. Department of Justice on the Epstein. files. I mean, there is some horrific. stuff which, you know, seems to be.

pulled down as quickly as it's put up by. the Department of Justice. You have to. wonder what's behind it being pulled. down. I wonder if somebody's. complaining. Um, and financial loss. How. is Donald Trump going to prove financial. loss? This is the same president who's. suing his own government for what, $230. million because his crimes were. investigated and he was criminally. indicted. Um, >> that's a that's a drop in the bucket. compared to the $10 billion that he's. suing the IRS for. >> $10 billion because I believe an IRS.

contractor was alleged to have, you. know, revealed some of his tax. information. You know, he's ba I mean, why not just back the truck up to Fort. Knox, the the big Trump truck, and. unload all the gold bars so he can put. them in Trump Tower? I mean, can he. really, as a result of this one joke. prove he's suffered a financial loss or. reputational harm? You know, you've got. to be kidding me. And there's one more. point that I want to make here. Let's. assume that Donald Trump brings suit. There's something called discovery where.

Trevor Noah's lawyers would have the. opportunity to depose Donald Trump. Do. you really think that guy is capable of. telling the truth under oath during a. deposition? You really think that guy. wants to have to answer truthfully. questions about his relationship with. Jeffrey Epstein? If I'm Trevor Noah, I'm. not only unafraid of a lawsuit, I would. welcome it. Hell, Trump might find a way. to expose his relationship with Epste. even faster than what we're already. learning from the Epstein files. So, look, would he be dumb enough to bring. this lawsuit? Maybe. After all, he's had.

success suing and settling with big. legacy media outlets before, which is. why I've always said that their. capitulation only makes all of us less. safe. Because now this guy is out here. filing lawsuits left and right. But. something tells me that if he went after. Trevor Noah, he would get a quick lesson. in what it looks like when a president. is not a king. As for the rest of us. outside of the courtroom, Trump is. already giving us a quick lesson in what. it looks like when the leader of a. country cosplays as a tough guy to mask. the fact that he is too much of a. to even take a joke.
