Trump caught in BOMBSHELL new scandal | Another Day

Trump looks to settle his lawsuit. against the IRS. Such a selfless act. from the world's most selfish man. This. is just another day. >> [music]. >> If you're one of those people who thinks. that our government is full of. inefficient bureaucrats, then maybe. you'd care to explain this little nugget. of news. The Justice Department is. holding internal discussions about. settling Donald Trump's lawsuit against. the IRS in the coming days. That's. according to three people familiar with. those deliberations. It's a move that. could involve the government directly.

providing taxpayer funds or another. public benefit to the president. >> That's right. Trump is willing to put. this whole unfortunate incident behind. him, and all it's going to take is the. United States paying him and his sons a. shitload of cash. But, not to worry, their pockets are merely a pit stop for. our tax dollars. You're suing the. federal government about your taxes, and. um I'm wondering, is it fair to ask the. American people to pay for that? Well, anything I win, I'm going to give 100%. to charity. Now, assuming that charity.

isn't just the name of a stripper that. Trump befriended in Florida, I don't. have a ton of faith in his philanthropic. promise. Trump has said he's donated. more than $100 million to charity, but. he's never provided any proof. This. morning, there is proof he donated a lot. of money to charities for questionable. reasons, and a lot of that money wasn't. out of his pocket. >> Yes, you can trust Trump to make. charitable donations about as much as. you can trust Kash Patel to be your. designated driver. So, Trump is using. his perch in the executive branch to.

order the DOJ to settle with the IRS. And I have to say, all this interagency. maneuvering feels a little bit. incestuous, even for a guy who is a lot. incestuous. Trump is literally looting. the Treasury for his own personal gain, and he's using the same cutthroat. tactics he's used a thousand times. before. And this is no small sum we're. talking about. He sued the IRS for $10. billion, and that's after suing the BBC for $10. billion, dollars, Wall Street Journal. for 10 billion dollars. Honestly, I.

think he's just copying and pasting that. number onto everything at this point. But this is what Trump does. He sues. people for insane amounts of cash, settles for a slightly less insane. number, and then claims that his. opponents, which in this case are the. American taxpayers, got off easy. And. it's not just lawsuits. Trump is doing. this with the with the Iran war. Just. the other week he posted the length of. America's previous wars in comparison to. his war in Iran. Because when you set. the bar at the most extreme position, everything else looks reasonable by.

comparison. It's like saying Trump's. ankles don't look that swollen, but only. when you compare them to the Incredible. Hulk's. But it should be noted that Donald Trump. was not the only wealthy person who had. their tax information leaked back then, and in fact, some of them also sued. Like this man, hedge fund billionaire. Ken Griffin, who also got the IRS to. settle. And I know what you're thinking. The settlement was probably for some. measly amount like 1 billion instead of. 10, or something even more insulting.

like Griffin being awarded a pair of. used yachts for his trouble. But no, it. turns out that the government did not. pay Mr. Griffin any damages. Instead, the IRS made a public apology for the. leak. That's it. So this billionaire who. didn't swear an oath of office was cool. with an I'm sorry, but this guy who did. swear an oath of office wasn't. Can. somebody help me understand that? >> The harm to Trump was quite obvious. Damage to his business reputation, his. political campaign, his personal.

reputation because it portrayed him, as. you saw with Rachel Maddow, in a false. light that negatively impacted his. businesses. >> Uh I'm sorry, his tax returns portrayed. him in a negative light? If that's the. case, I think those returns got a pretty. big assist from him admitting that he. grabs women by the cheats on his. wife with a porn star, gets routinely. accused of sexual assault, walked in on. girls changing at the Teen USA pageants,

was found liable for sexual abuse, and. routinely partied with a pedophile. Blaming Trump's tax returns for his bad. rap is like blaming the unhealthiness of. pudding pops for Bill Cosby's tarnished. image. But this war with the IRS isn't simply. limited to the leak of his tax returns. The minute Trump came back into office, he put them on the chopping block. DOJ. is [music] eyeing more job cuts across. the federal government this morning as. the IRS lets go of nearly 7,000 workers. during tax season.

>> Gee, I wonder who's going to benefit. more now that the IRS has less resources. to audit people. CEOs or school. teachers? Really is a toss-up. And as if. all that wasn't bad enough, this. president's blatant thievery from the. IRS is happening while our government. apparently doesn't even have the money. to fund Medicaid, food assistance, cancer research, or the Children's. Health Insurance Program, but can. somehow scrounge together enough cash to. pay out dear leader and also fund his. golden crusted ballroom. But thankfully,

not every politician is just sitting. back and letting this corruption run. rampant. That's right. Turns out there's. some good guys left in DC. We have to. take the fraud issue seriously. We. really have the most accelerated [music]. aggressive anti-fraud operation that. we've ever seen from the federal. government. >> Every week I get a report [music] from. task force. You know, we have our weekly. meeting and I am shocked every single. day by the things that we find. This is. not just theft of the American people's. money. This is also theft of critical. services [music].

that the American people rely on. No. amount of fraud is too big or too small. [music] If you're defrauding the. taxpayer, you ought to go to prison, and. anybody who's helping you ought to go to. prison, too. Well, it looks like we're. finally going to get that Shawkshank. sequel that we've been waiting for. Only. this time when one of them crossed. through a river of RFK will. already be there doing laps. You know. what I say, get busy inhaling fecal. matter or get busy dying. The reality is Trump's blatant. corruption will obviously be ignored by. his own VP and the rest of his. sycophantic party. But even worse, all.

of this flies in the face of the. promises that he and his party made to. the nation. Trump built himself as this. guy who through his America First agenda. would return America to a simpler and. more prosperous time where people were. healthier, gas was more affordable, and. every single one of us was as enamored. as he was at basic vocabulary words. >> It's such an old-fashioned term, but a. beautiful term, groceries. It sort of. says a bag with different things in it. But sadly, none of that happened. Millions have been kicked off their.

health insurance, families are being. forced to skimp and save just to fill up. their cars with gas, and those. uh what was it? >> Groceries. Ah, yes. Blast from the past. Groceries now cost more than ever. In. reality, the only era Donald Trump took. us back to was the time before black. people had equal voting rights. And how. does he react to all of that suffering. being endured by Americans? When you're. negotiating with Iran, Mr. President, to. what extent are Americans' financial. situation motivating you to make a deal?

Not even a little bit. The only thing. that matters when I'm talking about. Iran, they can't have a nuclear weapon. I don't think about. Americans'. Well, anybody but himself. We are living. in the second Gilded Age where millions. of Americans suffer at the same time. that the leader of our country is. cutting himself massive checks with our. money. Not to mention hosting. clandestine crypto dinners, taking. stakes in private companies, and. strong-arming his party to push through. legislation that rewards his. tax-cheating friends. We have to take.
