Trump BOMBS on stage as crowd TURNS AGAINST HIM
I don't know how a person of faith can. vote for a Democrat. I really don't. And I know we have some here today. And. I don't know why they're here because. they certainly don't give us their vote. I certainly know that we're not going to. be convincing them to vote for a little. thing called voter ID. It polls at 97%. And even the Democrat, the people, the. voters are at 82% for voter ID. But the. leaders don't want to approve it. They. said they will strike. They will not.
allow it to happen. It's polling at over. 90%. It's called voter identification. When you go to the polls, you show a. yes, my name is so and so and I live in. the country. I'm here. I can vote. They. say that's not allowed. And no, everyone's trying to figure it out. And. they do something to win. You know what. it is? They cheat. But let's get on to. another subject. No, at that they're the. finest probably anywhere in the world, I. would say. But we're trying to pass. voter ID and other things and other.
things having to do with your religion. and uh getting the Democrats to vote is. very very tough. >> Yep. Nothing says national prayer. breakfast quite like demeaning the. audience for not giving blind feelalty. to your political party and then. devolving into a conspiracy laden tirade. about voter ID. A truly beautiful. tribute to God to brave people for not. throwing themselves at the feet of a guy. who is right now presiding over an army. of mass men murdering Americans. you. know, just like Jesus would have wanted.
Like, I'm sorry, but at what point does. the religious community see the extent. to which Trump is making a mockery of. the entire movement and say enough is. enough? At what point does Trump. supporting extrajudicial killings of. Americans by ICE agents and decide that. actually this might not be Christian or. his detention of little kids or his. protection of pedophiles? Will there. ever come a point for people who attend. events called the National Prayer. Breakfast that an aspiring tyrant might. not actually deserve your applause or. might run the country antithetically to. your religion? In fact, I think we got.
the answer to that question here. This. is Republican Representative Ben Klein. at the same event. >> We are reminded that leadership is not. only about policy and power, but about. character, conscience, and the. recognition that all authority is. ultimately accountable to God. We are honored to welcome President. Bkllle as we reflect together in prayer. seeking wisdom for leaders, healing for. nations and peace among all people. Please join me in welcoming his el his. excellency President Naive Boule.
[applause]. [applause]. >> [applause]. >> Thank you. Thank you very much. [applause]. >> We here at the National Prayer Breakfast. appreciate that God shines his light on. those who show character and conscience. like our next guest, the dictator of El.
Salvador. I'm sorry, but what the. is going on? Bouquet has eroded. democratic institutions and replaced the. constitutional court and attorney. general with his loyalist which enabled. him to bypass constitutional term limits. and seek indefinite re-election. Starting in 2022, Boule imposed a. prolonged state of emergency which. suspended constitutional rights and led. to mass arbitrary arrests over 85,000. people. Human rights groups including. Amnesty International and Human Rights. Watch have documented torture, ill.
treatment, deaths in custody, and the. enforced disappearance of detainees. He's targeted critics and independent. voices, arresting journalists and. lawyers and activists. Bouquet has. centralized power and cultivated a cult. of personality. Sound familiar? Proclaiming himself an instrument of God. and ruling with minimal oversight. You. know what? It's starting to all make. sense now. And frankly, it's pretty sad. to see what the religious right has. devolved into. Using Christianity as a. shield while propping up dictators,
autocrats, and wannabe tyrants who seek. not to house the homeless, not to feed. the hungry, not to care for the sick, but rather heap more riches onto the. wealthy and divide people based on race, religion, and sexual orientation. Today's religious right is doing more. damage to their own movement and the. future of the church than anyone else, which may explain why their adherence. are shrinking year-over-year. And just a. quick aside here on the issue of voter. ID since that's what Trump drones on. about. This isn't actually about voter. integrity. Trump just sees ballots from.
the 2020 election in Georgia where he. will in invariably say that mass voter. fraud has occurred. But he did it in a. state where voter ID is already. implemented. They have voter ID in. Georgia. And yet Trump has claimed for. six years now that the vote totals in. Georgia are rigged. So again, this is. not someone who is acting in good faith. This is someone who will just lie with. abandon and claim that Republicans won. and Democrats lost regardless of what. safeguards are put in place. And to get.
even more granular on the issue of voter. ID, think about why Republicans want to. implement this specific policy. Think. about what populations are more. transient and therefore whose IDs won't. match their current address, if they. even have IDs. Young people who tend to. vote Democratic, low-income people who. tend to vote Democratic, people of color. who tend to vote Democratic, students. who tend to vote Democratic. You. starting to see a trend here. This isn't. a way to achieve voter integrity. It is. a way to suppress the vote. These. Republicans know what they're doing. And.
they have built an entire political. movement out of making sure that as many. Americans as possible are blocked from. voting. The reality is that voter fraud. is vanishingly rare. And that's a point. that Abby Phillip made just last night. against some MAGA conspiracy theorists. on CNN. >> The facts are pretty clear. It's not. just that. It's clear on on education. It's clear on housing. They it it's laid. out there. And yet the Trump. administration, rather than addressing. what voters want them to address, which. is the economy, cost of living, they. keep blaming immigrants for everything. Why?
>> Yeah. Um before we get to that, I just. want to correct the record really. quickly. You did say that Governor Kemp. and Brad Raffensburgger both said the. election was fine. And I also just want. to point out people that Governor Kemp. did come out with a risk limiting audit. report which did clarify there were 36. inconsistencies and Brad Raffensburgger. also clarified 36 different boxes of. Hold on. Hold on. I just want to make. sure but was [laughter] but wasn't. saying you're clarifying. Did Did they. say that there was that the election was. uh fair and there was no fraud in it or.
not? Did they say. >> they're saying that there were problems. in the election? >> Hold on. No. Yes. They were saying that. >> did so Governor Kemp said there were. that is not true. Governor Kemp has said. >> according to his risk limiting auditing. there were 36 inconsistencies and a. November 17th 2021 letter to the SV. These are election inconsistencies found. by Joseph Rossi. They were then tested. and the veracity of his work was. independently repeated and they found. out that all of the 36 claims were true. Now for. >> hold on hold on [snorts] you trying to. imply that Governor Kemp said that there.
were there was fraud in the. 2020 election. He validated the election. free and fair election. And on top of. that, he also pointed out that there. were elections that occurred after. Donald Trump lost and those elections. were also free and fair. And not to. mention that other Republicans who were. on the very same ballot as Donald Trump. did better than he did. So whatever. incon I'm not saying there are there is. nothing that is inconsistent about.
elections. That's why there are checks. That's why you go through them and you. find them, the fact that they found. those inconsistencies is actually proof. that the system is working. Okay. So, so. when you argue that there when you argue. that the [clears throat] existence of. errors is proof of fraud, that makes no. sense because we should go back then and. reudit the Republicans who outperformed. Trump on that very same ballot. Explain. that. >> I think I think Wait, can I can I can I. finish the answer? So again, this isn't.
about voter ID, just like it was never. about fraud or election integrity. This. is about Trump using anything as a. pretext to suppress the vote so he can. allow Republicans, enable Republicans to. win in perpetuity, something he wouldn't. need to do if he and Republicans could. actually manage to govern and give. people a reason to vote for them. But he. won't because he can't. And as prices. continue to surge, as ICE continues to. murder people, as they continue to. suppress the Epstein files, as the trade. war rages on, as the saber rattling.
against our enemies continues, their. only option is to rig the rules in their. favor. You know, just like Jesus would. have wanted. [music].
